Do you have any good Codywan fics to recommend? Preferably on AO3, preferably not too spicy, and preferably ones that will leave me happy inside and not drowning in a post-Order 66 pit of despair. If you don’t feel like answering this, that’s fine, I hope you have a good day! :)
First of all, I am so sorry for not replying to this sooner. I didn’t see the notification and also I really wanted to make sure I gave you a good list. I love getting asked this so thank you for giving me an excuse to make another one of these posts. Here is a link to the first one I made.
These are all masterpieces in my mind. I have like twenty bookmarks in total even though I read fics all the time so here are some of my holy grails:

Oh, the weather outside is frightful by Celaestis (Christmas fluff modern au)
I wish there were more Christmas fics because I just love them and it certainly doesn’t hurt that the writing quality of this one is nothing short of breathtaking. This is ever so slightly spicy but its mostly fluff. Just a line or two of spice and it’s implied too. This writer has a way of describing things that is so intricate and intimate and I am just obsessed with their writing style.
love me long, be my sunlight by ricken (love island au)
I have never been able to sit through an entire episode of Love Island but when I tell you I screamed when I first saw this au. It is the most fun I have had with a fic in so long but it’s also actually incredibly heartwarming too. And what a creative idea as well. This is one of the fics I reread a lot and if you give it a go, you’ll understand why. It’s positively delightful and is such an original concept too.
Probably the spiciest fic on the list but there’s nothing crazy. It’s mostly just dialogue and references (it is a dating show after all) and the spiciest scene is interrupted. I had such a blast with this one and I really wish more fics were like this.
hunger + dreams by catboydogma (hockey/figure skating au)
Tell me why Codywan suit every genre. The very concept of a Codywan figure skating au is enough to make me screech but this one!!! It’s just so cute. Truly the most adorable little getting together fic and it does such a good job characterising everyone too. The interactions Obi Wan has with Anakin and Ahsoka are so much fun and Codywan deserve to be happy above all else and this fic absolutely delivers that. I would read a thousand chapters of this if I could.
Silver Lining by Wixiany (skiing au)
This fic!!!! Oh my god!!!! I have always believed that Codywan have suffered too much in canon that every au they are place in should be a romcom and that is precisely what this fic is. The sweetest little romcom ever. This fic has everything. A ski-slope accident meet cute. A Cody’s scar origin story. An Omega cameo (if you know me, you know that my opinion of any Codywan fic skyrockets if my fave Star Wars girl makes an appearance). Basically no angst!!!! I think this fic cured all of my problems ngl. I cannot recommend it enough. I genuinely just found this like thirty minutes ago and it has instantly become one of my favourite Codywan fics ever.
An Officer and a Gentleman by jimmytiberius (regency au)
I read this one last year and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. This is a Codywan regency au and regency era literature may be the only thing I love as much as Codywan so naturally the being combined is immaculate. This fic does a fantastic job of capturing the delicate romanticism of the time period and it’s a style that suits Codywan down to the ground. It just makes sense for them. I mean a Sense and Sensibility au??? Are you serious??? What an amazing concept. If you’re familiar with Jane Austen at all, you’ll feel right at home with this fic because it is just so incredibly sweet.
Rhapsody in Blue by KCKenobi (orchestra/mystery au)
Now I know I mentioned it on my last post but I have vowed to always recommend this fic whenever anyone asks. It is truly my favourite fic of all time and I’ve read it multiple times now. How many fanfics can you say have their own soundtrack? I think this is the third time I have recommended this fic in a post but it really is that good. This is a warning for some angst but I would never recommend a fic with an unhappy ending unless specifically asked so you can rest easy knowing that everything resolves well in this story.
What I also adore about this fic is that it does brilliantly what so few others do, which is that it doesn’t ignore its side characters. They are not just props in Obi Wan’s story. Each person, no matter how small their appearance, feels like a real person. They’re so believable and every relationship, platonic, romantic or otherwise, is completely fleshed out.
There's also a very sweet Codywan oneshot here but it is set during the pandemic and is a bit of a heavy read depending on how much that topic affects so be careful.
I would also like to say that, while this author doesn’t generally write Codywan, first of all when she does it is magical. Secondly, she is absolutely fantastic if you like platonic fics. There’s so many to read and every single one I have read so far has been wonderful.
Canonverse fics
Incognizant by marshMeister (5+1 fic)
It wouldn’t be a true list of recommendations if I didn’t mention a fic by one of my favourite humans @legobenkenobi. When I say he is one of my favourite writers ever, I am not just saying it because I talk to him basically everyday. I cannot think of a single other person I would trust more to characterise both Cody and Obi Wan. It’s perfect every single time, whether its just in a post or in a full fanfiction, and this fic is such a good example. It’s that classic 5+1 format but it’s so sweet and so in character.
What’s the one thing that could improve a Codywan fic though? Anakin being completely oblivious and (lovingly) made fun of for it. He has absolutely no clue how Codywan feel about each other even though basically the rest of the galaxy knows so this fic is him figuring that out and it is joy to read (and then reread like six times).
Also if I could make it required by law to read everything Ben has ever written, I would. So definitely check out literally all of his other fics.
if i don’t make it back from where i’ve gone (just know i’ve loved you all along) by thebitterbeast (featuring art from thegreencarousel) (time travel, non linear fic)
This fic does have some angst but rest assured everything works out eventually. It’s such a unique take on the events in canon and I already enjoy a time loop/ time travel fic. But the part I love the most about this fic is that it’s pro-Jedi. Too many Codywan fics find it necessary to disparage or misrepresent the Jedi and their beliefs in order to make the relationship work but Jedi are allowed to love! And this fic is such a beautiful reminder of that. It also captures the gentleness that Cody and Obi Wan have in their relationship with each other in such a lovely way. I fully accept this as the new canon.
Ghosts of the Dead by Just_Here_To_Procrastinate (zombie au)
This is definitely the heaviest fic on the list but trust me. It’s a masterpiece. Also happy ending too, so don’t worry. Just be cautious for mentions of blood and gore if that isn’t your thing. It doesn’t go overboard with it at all but better safe than sorry.
This is a zombie au and I understand that genre isn’t for everyone, but when people say that they’ve read fanfictions that are better than traditionally published novels, this is the kind of this they’re talking about. There’s a section of this fic which is maybe one of the most beautifully written things I’ve ever read. I wish I could give more context but it happens to be at the most pivotal moment of the entire story and I don’t want to spoil anything so you’re going to have to trust me. This fic is insanely good. It’s quite a long one and worth every single second you spend reading it. I love the narrative style and how it fits into the actual plot of TCW too. The characterization is fantastic too.

Stella is “The most evil character in the entire series” right…
They’re very much same, and that works! They both suck. Two selfish petty spoiled brats. It’s a new dynamic we’ve never seen before. Making her the domestic abuser #189 in the series just to minimise stolas’ creepiness and shove stolitz in my poor unwilling eyeballs is bad writing
Since she is the big bad bitch 💅 the final boss of the universe apparently- stopping the beautiful holy grail it’s not rape-if-they-both-get-off Stolitz let’s morally compare her to Stolas and Blitz (this will contain spoilers!)

Im sorry but given how humiliated she feels and how unapologetic he is about the cheating in between wimpy excuses like ‘i couldnt find a motel’ and pretending she feels no betrayal when she’s screaming at him that she does, embarrassment is a form of betrayal this makes sense? Did she give and then get it slapped back in her face? Yes. But her motive makes sense.
She threw a silly public I hate my marriage party loudly discussing her sex life and so did he, a loud divorce party. And he discussed sex and being horny in front of his 17 year old daughter. Ignoring Blitzs non stop resistance and lack of consent. They should both be embarrassed of themselves. The main protagonist (It’s supposedly blitz by the way not stolas) is an assassin himself. Stolas has hired this exact assassin to kill plenty of people for him. I just don’t value Stolas’ life as superior to the imp lives he takes the same way that he values himself. And he’s been fine with putting Moxie and Millie “the littler ones who aren’t Blitzy” in danger many times without even acknowledging them as people. Screw this guy. In this show what Stella does is in-line with the morality considering what IMPs job is. Remember those guys?? They specialise in killing cheaters, Blitz has probably killed countless cheating husbands in and outside of hell, next!
- Loudly airs their dirty laundry about how much she hates being married to Stolas and doesn’t want to have sex with him and she’s glad she had a baby quick enough to not have to pretend to be attracted to him cause she finds him pathetic (but he actually is, anyone who abuses the weak then cries in self pity when someone his own size says something, is very pathetic)
How dare she not want to fuck him. How. dare. How dare she resent the man she was forced to marry and sleep with. Especially since. He is sex personified.

It’s him or me!” Elsa in the finale. I’m so sorry Octavia. Three times they’ve done this to you. Blitz literally bullies Moxie worse than Stella bullies Stolas and I am not exaggerating. Loona abuses Blitzø worse than Stella. I care more about my boy Moxie who’s only crime is being too silly sometimes. T - T Stolas however is a coward who sexually and violently preys on, condescends, and exploits those he sees as beneath him. This is mainly our main characters? Who we are supposed to root for? Who he constantly puts in harms way for his own preferences even though he has an ARMY, PROPHETIC VISIONS AND CAN PETRIFY ENEMIES
Stella finds his sexualising of imps disgusting - and she has a point—cause she’s also bigoted but honestly that’s better than having an imp sex plaything like Stolas does while maintaining the bigoted attitude that has destroyed Blitzs entire self worth—oh wait according to Seeing Stars he’s into it now ok? Oh but in Oops he’s mad at his exploitation again? BUT HE LAUGHS AT HIS GORE JOKES! Season 2 writing sucks when the feathered twig ass is involved

For the Hell of it - Crying over Tacos

Jason was in Andy’s apartment, arguing over taco fillings.
It was the first time he’d accepted an invitation and she had been afraid it would be awkward. She was awkward about a lot of things, and Jason could be skittish at the best of times, and after telling him about her abusive ex a week prior surely everything would be strange and feel forced.
It wasn’t and it didn’t.
“There’s already plenty of peppers in the beef,” she said, eyeing the innocent bowl of diced avocado.
“Only ancho and poblanos, and you cut most of the seeds out.” The tack-tack-tack of his knife against the chopping board didn’t slow down in the least.
“Yeah but you didn’t see how many habaneros went into the salsa this morning. And then there’s fresh jalapeno for garnish. What if we’re getting carried away?”
He scoffed. “Carried away, we’re not going far enough. The target, the mission, the holy grail, was spicy birria tacos. If they’re not even spicy then what was the point of getting up this morning?”
“At this rate we’ll never get up ever again! Where will our poor taste buds find reprieve?”
“So dramatic,” he sighed, like he wasn’t the most dramatic person she’d ever met. “The onions aren’t spicy. Neither’s the cheese. Or the tortillas.”
“We’re frying the tortillas in spicy fat from the beef,” she said flatly.
He made direct eye contact and scraped the sliced chillies into the guacamole.
She sighed.
“Now, how much of the…” he began as he reached for a bundle of cilantro with one hand and scratched his eye with the other.
She gasped.
“Ah fuck.”
The next fifteen minutes was spent washing his eye out with milk.
Andy resolutely did not laugh at him despite it being one hundred percent his fault. She’d been maced before and cried like a baby, capsaicin was no joke.
He handled it like a champ. Barely a whimper, despite the angry red of his eyes and tears streaming down his cheek. She was as impressed as she was sympathetic.
After he’d had as much fussing as he was going to take, he sat at the island bench with a bowl of milk and sulked.
She skimmed the fat from the top of the meat sauce with a ladle and let him feel sorry for himself in peace. She’d give it at least a week before teasing him relentlessly over it. She could call it the serrano incident. The guac fiasco? His taco troubles. Maybe she would send him pictures of chopped up peppers when he was being annoying.
“Andy.”
“Hm?”
“Come look at this,” he said. His voice was gentle.
She looked over her shoulder.
He slid his phone across the bench. “Maybe sit down first.”
She quirked an eyebrow and picked up the phone.
A headline in sensible Times New Roman script on a white background read: ‘Local Entrepreneur Kieran McLeod Arrested.’
She dropped the ladle. Sauce splashed on the stove top. She scrolled through the article with greasy fingers, her eyes speeding through a tasteless opinion piece praising Kieran for all the jobs he created, describing what a respectable pillar of the community he was, and his troubles with a violent ex partner who did worse to him than the accusations he was currently accused of. Four paragraphs in it mentioned that he was arrested on domestic battery charges and had been denied bail. There were rumours of some vigilante being involved but no details had been confirmed by the police.
The article ended on a candid photo of his current partner and latest victim, a nineteen year old woman who looked a lot like Andy.
She dropped the phone.
Jason caught it.
She hadn’t noticed him standing next to her.
“Are you okay?”
She nodded like a bobble head. She choked on a laugh.
“I’m fine.” She couldn’t even focus on him with the tears flooding her eyes. She laughed again. He squeezed her shoulder. Her heart felt like it was going to burst.
She went to wipe her eyes, and he caught her hand before she could.
“Careful. We’re all out of milk,” he said.
She had no idea why, but that was what freed the broken sob stuck in her throat. It felt like it’d been trapped there for years.
He folded her into his arms, and held her while she fell apart.
A little later Jason sat her down at the island bench and took her place at the stove.
She sniffed while he stuffed and fried the tacos. The news sank in. She wished she knew which vigilante it was and what he'd done to run a foul of that crowd, if the rumour wasn’t made up. Probably some New York hero she’d never heard of. Who even operated in Newark?
Jason slid a plate of obscenely, transcendently spicy tacos in front of her, as well as a beer.
She raised the bottle, but couldn’t think of a toast that quite encapsulated what she was feeling.
“To creeps getting what they deserve,” he said with a quiet intensity.
She clinked her bottle against his and took a swig. She smacked her lips. “And to that poor girl getting away. I hope she’s going to be alright.”
His eyes crinkled at the corners with a smile. “I think she’ll be okay.”
Feeling lighter than she had in years, she stuffed a generous bite of taco into her mouth. Kieran was in jail and she had good food and even better company. Life could be a lot worse.
“I reckon this guac needs more peppers,” she said.
“I told you!” He pointed with his bottle.
She laughed.

When I was in high school, I stumbled across an artist that really grabbed my attention and held onto it tightly. His work was gorgeous and fantastical and gory and also more than a little…salacious. All things that teenaged me love. This artist’s name was Luis Royo, and his works often involved some variation of beautiful, thin, light-skinned, half-naked women looking moody and forlorn covered in blood or boning some buff dude in some dystopian wasteland of a universe. But sometimes, Royo’s women didn’t settle for boning random men. Sometimes they preferred something a little more…inhuman. Yeah, baby, I’m talking about monsters.
Now, eventually I stopped buying Luis Royo’s books. I don’t remember why—I mean, I don’t even remember how I started buying them in the first place considering all of my mail was routed through my mother, because again, this was high school—but I stopped. But that didn’t mean that I also stopped thinking about ladies banging monsters. That never stopped. I didn’t have a vocabulary for this interest. I didn’t know what it was called, I didn’t know if other people liked it. I was consuming Royo’s work on my own and forcing it on my high school friends who were considerably less interested in the monster stuff than I was. So I kind of learned to just keep it quiet. But the interest certainly didn’t go away.
As I got older and started to explore different types of art and media and ways of telling stories, I found myself continuously drawn to some version of humans and inhumans connecting, falling in love, getting it on. Sometimes that looked like a really intense vampire phase and an appreciation for all things Anne Rice and Twilight and Sookie Stackhouse. Sometimes that looked like a really deep interest in folklore that involved humans marrying animal brides and bridegrooms. Sometimes it looked like a fixation with the movies of Guillermo Del Toro. And sometimes that looked like accepting there was probably a strange and unconventional reason that Beauty and the Beast was my favorite Disney movie growing up.
I mean. Did y’all see the beast?
It wasn’t until late 2022 that all the dots started connecting. I had decided I wanted to read more, specifically more romance. I added some BookTok accounts to my TikTok feed. I started talking more about romance books with a friend. I started exploring the world of spicy adult paranormal romance and joining Kindle Unlimited, which was very exciting all on its own. And that’s when I found it, my holy grail: the book subgenre known as monster romance. You know that saying, “All roads lead to Rome”? It was kind of like that, except all the roads I took lead to the city of monsterfucking. Monsterfucking was my Roman Empire, if you will. And what a glorious empire it was.
As I’ve engaged more directly and consistently with the monster romance genre, it’s inspired a lot of thoughts for me. That’s why I’ve started this blog, because I can’t stop thinking about fucking monsters, and I want to explore the idea in a lot of different ways. For today, I want to talk a bit about why I think monster romance holds so much appeal for me and for the many others who enjoy it. That seems like as good a starting point as any.
When I was thinking about this question, one of the first things that came to mind was a blog post I read a number of years ago that never really left my head. It was written by Cleolinda Jones over on Livejournal. If you’re an older millennial viewer, Cleolinda’s name might sound familiar, as she’s the author of some very funny movie recaps she called “Movies in 15 Minutes,” which was my introduction to her. But Cleolinda is also known for her Twilight recaps that she posted to her LJ account. These recaps fused a summary of the books with her own observations, and man, her observations were good.
In Cleolinda’s recap for the first Twilight novel, she gets into why she thinks the series has had the success that it’s had. She specifically talks about how she feels Twilight is just an extension of the “good girls wanting a bad boy” trope.
I actually don't think girls like a guy who treats them bad. But I do think they--we--get off a little on the idea of changing someone for the better, or the idea of having the power that someone loves us so much that he'll change or sacrifice something for us….A nice guy doesn't need to change, and, most importantly, he's already nice to everyone. How do you know that you're special if he treats everyone else with as much kindness and respect as he treats you? The "bad boy" type, though? He may range from simple, garden-variety jackhole…to appalling psychopath…, but you know he loves you because he's completely different around you. You are an exception to his very nature….That's the fantasy.
Now, I’m not saying every male lead in a monster romance is a jerk, because a lot of them aren’t. (Don’t worry, Sol, I’d never let anyone accuse you of being mean.) But I do think by virtue of these monsters being, well, monsters, there’s a given understanding by readers that a human should not be fucking one. Monsters are predators, monsters are dangerous, monsters are not made for cuddles and smooches. But these monsters in these books? Especially the ones who are a little rougher around the edges? Seeing them soften for their human partners is deeply satisfying and scratches the exact kind of itch that I think Cleolinda is referencing.
But long before Cleolinda was musing on bad boys, writer and literary critic Hélène Cixous was posing something related in her essay “Love of the Wolf.” This essay has a number of interesting things to say on the tension between love and fear, using the metaphor of loving “the wolf,” aka loving a thing that can harm or destroy us, to make her point. Cixous writes about the thrill of fear when in love, and suggests that we must have that true fear to experience true love.
But happiness is when a real wolf suddenly refrains from eating us. The lamb’s burst of laughter comes when it’s about to be devoured, and then, at the last second, is not eaten. Hallelujah comes to mind. To have almost been eaten yet not to have been eaten: that is the triumph of life. But you’ve got to have the two instants, just before the teeth and just after, you’ve got to hear the jaws coming down on nothing for there to be jubilation. Even the wolf is surprised. (Stigmata, pg. 77)
It’s the idea, once more, of the person that we care about changing their very nature to be with us. The bad boy will treat us with kindness. The big bad wolf won’t eat us. The monster will love us tenderly. We humans are special, something to be cherished, even by something traditionally seen as negatively as monsters have been.
It makes me think too about the popularity of dark romance on BookTok and Bookstagram. Monster romance is kind of like dark romance taken to a different sort of extreme. In dark romance, there is often a baseline threat of violence or a disregard of consent. The male leads are often cruel, unpredictable, and inconsiderate. Their love of the other character drives them to stalk or kill or harm others, and even to be deeply, toxically controlling and possessive of the main character. And this is why folks like them. These are the real bad boys, and I mean the really bad boys, that Cleolinda’s talking about. And with the monsters in monster romances, there can be a lot of overlap. The monsters can be cruel and controlling for sure, but even when they aren’t, their very existence as monsters makes them a super unconventional choice for a human person. If the mafia boyfriend with anger issues who you know you should avoid is appealing, than the entirely different species with claws and fangs and a tail who you’re really not supposed to want to bone is that appeal taken about three steps further.
At some point I’d like to explore the different sorts of monster romance book covers that are popular with authors and artists, because I think they get at the last topic I wanted to touch on today when it comes to the appeal of monsterloving: aesthetics. Size kink can be fun in every genre, but monster romances really understood that particular assignment. The monsters in these books are massive in every possible area. Their muscles are chiseled, their tails are long, and their eggplants are otherworldy. Not to mention, a monster may even have more than one.
There’s also the contrast of furry or scale-covered monster bodies embracing soft, fragile human bodies. Monster bodies are foreign and unique; they’re a fantasy that can’t be found anywhere else, which makes the fantasy inherently more interesting. There’s a lot more that can and should be said here about the gender dynamics at play in the design of these monstrous figures and their human partners, and even possibly the racial dynamics too, but for now I just want us thinking about how the physical depiction of monsters and humans together holds an undeniable appeal to a large number of people. I’m thinking again about Luis Royo and the success of his art that explored this very thing. And that’s really interesting to me.

Alright, I decided to take a page from Andre and write about Fuyuki. (yes, I'm linking his post because it is good shit and you should learn more about Stilwater)
It is never stated the specific province in Japan where Fuyuki is located, only that it is tucked away in a mountain range, in a bay area and it is split right in the middle by the Mion river. The town’s namesake, Winter Tree, comes from the fact that the winters are supposed to be long but they don’t seem to be particularly harsh.
The west side of the town is called Miyama Town (Miyama-cho) and it is where the older houses are located. There is an intersection road that connects to many different areas of the town: the northern part of the district is the traditional Japanese district, the foreign district to the south, the road to the Homurahara Academy and the commercial district.
The Emiya residence is located in the Japanese district, atop of a hill. At the time of the construction of the house the zoning weren’t very well defined so the place ended up being a mansion. His place is actually referred as the samurai house. (In FGO, it is the Unknown Coordinates X-A in Singularity F)
Most houses in this neighborhood are what one would expect from Japanese suburban architecture, one or two stores small residences with a small garden, with the odd mansion here and there.
The Fujimuras also have a mansion in that district, old man Raiga is the local yakuza boss. His son-in-law practices sumo and his granddaughter is the English teacher at a local high school.
The foreign district is the southern residential area. Perhaps because of its proximity to the sea there was an influx of people from overseas and the town seems to be friendly towards the Christian faith (which is uncommon in Japan) but they eventually died out or simply became integrated with the general population. It is where you can find the Tohsaka and the Matou residence.
(In FGO, Tohsaka Residence is the crater in Unknown Coordinates X-B)
Many of the buildings follow what you'd call a Victorian style and other western architecture and they can range from small mansions to regular residences as well.
In between the two residential districts there is the commercial area known as Mount Miyama. It has a number of shops like a flower shop, the fishmonger and a number of stalls and markets, mostly small businesses.
You can find the Koushuuensaikan Taizan, the only Chinese Restaurant in that part of the town and it is famous for its extremely spicy food. There is also the Edomaeya, a food stall with its popular taiyaki and the Singing Birds Retreat, an antique shop.
If you keep walking towards the Bridge you'll arrive at the old downtown area that has many larger shops and other commodities. The old city hall and administrative facilities used to be there but were moved to Shinto.
The Homurahara Academy is its main high school and the location of the associated middle school is never revealed. The Yatsushirodai Elementary School is located just outside Fuyuki in the rural area. Homurahara has an outstanding archery range that is a rather large building next to the woods surrounding the area. (In FGO it is the Unknown Coordinates X-F)
To the west there is the Mount Enzou, a sacred mountain that has the convergence of all of the city’s leylines in the southwest area. The Ryuudou temple is located atop of the area, its characteristics means that beings having a spiritual body can only enter throughout its front gates. Underneath the temple area there is a cavern that is one of the possible point to summon the Holy Grail. Following a trail behind the temple leads to the graveyard.
South to the temple there is a large forest area, where the Einzbern castle is located. It has a boundary field and it can’t be found by ordinary people. (In FGO, it is the Unknown Coordinates X-G)
There is a park alongside the river right next to the large bridge that connects the two towns that forms Fuyuki City.
Shinto (aka New Town) is the newer district located to the east. Around 1990s the area had a major investment to modernize the city, starting a large-scale redevelopment funded by the local government. The City Hall was moved from Miyama, soon a shopping mall was constructed and many buildings followed.
The Central Building is the highest building in Fuyuki, located about 4 kilometers (about 2 and a half miles) from the bridge and became a focal point of the town in the properly named Centerville Neighborhood. The Hyatt Hotel is also located nearby and was rebuilt after being partially destroyed in 1994.
The Fuyuki Civic Center was supposed to be the crown jewel of the urban development plan along with the Central Building at the cost of 8 billion yen, covering 6600 square meters with four floors and one basement. However, a massive fire completely destroyed the area in 1994 and 134 nearby buildings. Instead of rebuilding the Civic Center, it was turned into the Fuyuki Central Park.
The area around the park underwent a quick rebuilding process but the Central Park itself isn’t very popular. In fact, it is a little underdeveloped if compared to other smaller parks scattered around town. According to Archer the grudges of the people who died there in 1994 still lingers, causing an effect similar to a Reality Marble. In layman's terms, that means the place could be called "haunted" by normal people or at least have a similar sensation.
Close to the Central Station there is Copenhagen, a liquor shop that also operates as a pub and redistributes supplies to some locations. Nearby there is also the largest shopping mall in town, named Verde. It has a movie theater, a bookshop (called Azumi), a tea shop and the largest stuffed animal store is also located there (called Fancy Shop). From the Station it is also possible to reach Waku Waku Splash, a large indoors pool complex that opened in 2004.
Also in Shinto there is a residential district named Kurokizaka that is known for its many buildings, including the Semina Apartments and other similar complexes. Around 2004 there was a murder-disappearing case in the building.
To the north there is the harbor, the town receives a large amount of shipments from the continent and other areas. It is also a prime spot for fishing.
To the south it is possible to find the church and the foreigners graveyard. The church has a living area upstairs and a rather large basement. (In FGO it is the Unknown Coordinates X-E)
Maybe I'm going to make a post with a brief story of the town, both with information for common people and for mages. But this is the general gist of everything. Tumblr also messed the masonry of this post somehow, many of the images were supposed to be in a grid and I'm sorry for that.
