just a vent, nothing important lol

i miss having friends, so unbelievably fucking bad. i never had many, but i did have a friend group in the jse and markiplier fandom, and my god, i had a blast. freaking out over ego content, spewing our stupid theories, sharing our edits/art.

but then i was sent to a group home for my mental health. i never got to say goodbye to them. i never adjusted to coming home either. i still feel like im 13.

im excited about this new ego content but all its really done is remind me how fucking lonely i am and what was taken from me. i want friends. please i want friends. im so fucking lonely

i want to spew stupid theories with people, share my art, make stupid memes, and just feel like i belong somewhere. ever since i got home, i've felt like an outsider looking in because everyone moved on. the world moved on and i am left behind. the fandoms moved on and i am left behind, still holding on to the "golden era" of them.

advice on running curse of strahd that no one asked for. my credentials are having ran it, it becoming the thing my group compares all other campaigns against, and ravenloft being one of my spins.

1st pc that dies should be offered a dark gift resurrection, especially if if it happens early on. the horror of barovia's soul bubble is important and should communicated to your heroes early as part of motivation. nobody wants to be caught in the soul blender. it also gives great character/backstory opportunity

rig the cards lightly. they aren't equal and you should not have them drag along an 8 year old just because thats the card they got.

don't hesitate to introduce ez early. also ignore the bit abt rvr sparing her parents and let her be his fucked up adoptee. or straight up give her arturi's backstory/make her arturi. as written contradicts his backstory and vrgtr and general radanovich lore anyways.

steal from reddit; a lot of people have shared their really fun and creative ideas. use them.

ignore reddit; a lot of people have really stupid ideas

don't ignore the flavorful random little scary illusions. it really fucks with the players. (also i recommend ismark for argynvostholt)

oh my god change the good ending scene. so many dms express difficulty with ireena and getting players to care about her and it's because the campaign pulls this shit. she is someone who is faced with so many forces and people trying to define who she is and what her destiny should be and so her motivation, her arc, should be one of seizing agency. she doesn't need to be cruel, but give her the chance to live her own life. what's a couple more decades?

be a little silly. the scariness will run out if everything is always at 11. have strahd's organ music be a cover of like megalovania. let npcs be bitchy and stupid and ridiculous. insert jokes. trust me

session 0 wise, every pc should have a connection to barovia. they have lost loved ones who were taken by the mists or were given a "beware of crimson peak" moment or had an encounter with a werewolf. give something to gain/lose on this adventure

strahd is an understimulated large predator and the pcs are new enrichment in his enclosure. he will play with them in the most fucked up and often surprising ways because he is so goddamn bored.

1. I have many stuffed animals stuff. I used to sleep with one every single night but the wear and tear of using her as basically a pillow forced her into retirement :( [‘She’ as in a stuffed Build-A-Bear bunny named flower, her fabric has flowers on it (i’m so original I know)]

2. I am ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take song recs. I can’t and won’t promise i’ll listen to it like immediately (I have some decency to not lie compulsively) (rip into the lantern waste album that @/silvercaptain24 recommended awhile ago I never finished listening :’) ) but i’m a strong believer in how music is a super strong indicator of how you are as a person vibes-wise so I think that sharing music is like sharing your soul but in a way that society deems cool and not weird

I’m trying to think of something that’s like not quasi-deep lmao. These are supposed to be general-public fun not things I consider fun!

3. English/Grammar is something I deeply despise on a spiritual level. Perhaps i’m good at it, and perhaps i’ve gotten a few 100% on a few essays cuts to extreme celebration bc i’ve never gotten 100% on an english essay before this year but I LITERALLY hate english/grammar/reading comprehension/like most thinks in this vein. Should I consider creative writing apart of this medium? Maybe. But also creative writing doesn’t make me THINK ABOUT WHY JOHN ATE A RED DELICIOUS APPLE AND NOT A GOLDEN DELICIOUS APPLE he’s an idiot that’s why. I took german for two years, and the thing I struggled with most was how it all grammatically fit together. I did great on vocab, I have awesome memory retention for that kind of stuff. But grammar/english/whatever the fuck you wanna call this STUPID SUBJECT is the one academic subject that continues to elude and frustrate me to no end. Like, I’m in Calc 1 rn and while it’s hard it’s not *hard* hard? Math is something that clicks, science is something that clicks, art is something that clicks (on an intellectual level, not really a performance level if you get what I mean) BUT ENGLISH JUST SUCKS. Guh

⊹ though you won’t lie, you were very curious on who they were..who wouldn’t be?

⊹ you lived in liyue, you looked everywhere trying to find your soulmate, but there wasn’t anyone that dumb. at least not that you knew of..

⊹ you complained to your friend, kazuha, about it a lot. eventually he had enough and decided to take you with him on his next trip to inazuma.

⊹ once you arrived in inazuma, you kinda maybe forgot about your soulmate and explored the city looking for interesting things instead of your soulmate.

⊹ you were walking around town talking to kazuha, “what compels someone to do something so stupid?” you asked, “well if you knew him, you'd know he's the definition of stupid,” he responded. all you could think about was how and why a grown man would battle against children, with beetles. “what’s his name again?” “arataki itto.”

⊹ once you heard the man’s name, it immediately reminded you that you needed to look for your soulmate. “kazuha, you’re distracting me from my mission!” “your mission?” “finding my soulmate..?”

⊹it’s been around 3 days, and still no soulmate. you were walking around the city, sulking to yourself about how you’d be alone for life since your soulmate obviously died. you didn’t see the person in front of you since you were too busy thinking about how you’d be alone for life.

⊹ bump. “what the..” it felt like you walked into a brick wall, but before you could fall you felt arms wrap around your waist. “you good, buddy?” the brick wall had a voice?

⊹ you looked up and felt your heart stop, “oh my god.” you were looking at the finest man you’ve ever seen in your life. once you snapped out your gaze you quickly composed yourself.

⊹ “ah, yeah, my apologies.” you took a step back, getting out of his grip. when you apologized, he let out a big smile, “it’s no big deal, im glad you’re okay.” while he was talking, you couldn’t help but take a look at his chest.

⊹ it was like his pecs were basically asking for you to touch them, but you decided to be a good man and not touch this strangers chest.

⊹ “you make me feel funny, like we have a deep connection even though we just met.” his words caught you off guard, “what?” “you must be my soulmate!” he said after a moment.

⊹ you looked at him like he was stupid, “how did you come to that conclusion? you know what, i don’t even want to know. what’s your name?” you asked him with a sigh.

⊹ “arataki itto!” he exclaimed with a huge smie. you immediately busted out laughing. you didn’t expect this guy who looks like he could pick up a house by himself, to be the guy who fought children with beetles.

⊹ you immediately apologized when you saw him pout, “i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to laugh. i just didn’t expect you to be the guy who does the beetle fights.”

⊹ “let me see your wrist.” he asked but he grabbed your wrist before you could answer. after a few moments of closely looking, he hugged you, “i knew it, you’re my soulmate!!”

⊹ you could barely move your arms to hug him back, he was sucking all the air out of your body with the tight hug.

⊹ “cmon, i need to show my soulmate to the gang!” “gang..?”

⊹ “please, just one touch.” you whined while leaning onto ittos chest, your hands slowly going up his stomach.

⊹ “why are you so obsessed with my chest?” he asked with a laugh, but allowed you to touch them.
