This house fascinates me. It was built in 1912, is located in the historic Reservoir Hill area of Baltimore, Maryland and is up for online auction starting at $50,000. According to Zillow, it’s a great investment b/c it’s sandwiched between 2 monumental city developmental projects. Notice how it stands out among the neighboring homes. Let’s look inside.
It’s not bad. I see very nice flooring, too. I thought it was going to be a wreck.
Why is the bidding starting out so low?
The kitchen is cute and has a door to the yard with a stained glass transom.
This is nice- I like how you can see the hall on the other side of the stairs.
The main bd. has a large open walk-in closet that I would enclose.
There’s a family room.
Interesting vintage bath. It’s cute. It’s just cluttered.
Is that toilet connected, or is it a spare? This looks like a storage space, and the house only has 2 baths.
Heading to the attic or 3rd level is where the family stores it’s stuff.
Then, things get a little dicey. They have a lot of stuff.
There’s another bath up here. It’s cozy, but cluttered.
Looks like they use this as a media room.
The basement is old, creepy and unfinished.
It’s used for storage, but there appears to be a w/d hookup buried in here.
In the back is a 2 car garage, large driveway and a small yard. Parking is key in a city and it also looks like the windows on the house are new. I wonder how much it will sell for at auction. The bids are being taken until 2/15.
The neighboring homes are nice, but it’s the red balloon (or is it a giant Xmas ball?) that makes this house whimsically attractive to me.

The week between eight-figure sales of her paintings is traditionally known as Joan Mitchell Season. To commemorate this year, greg.org has created a facsimile of Joan's epic swag from the cover of Guy Bloch-Champfort's book: the souvenir T-shirt from the inaugural exhibition of The Gallery of Art of the University of Northern Iowa.
The shirt is available until the hammer drops on Sunflowers, the 1990-1991 diptych expected to sell at Sotheby's for $25-35 million, on 15 November 2023. It comes with a numbered, signed, and stamped certificate of authenticity.

Love discovering that a huge chunk of manuscripts that I wanted to look at for some very important scenes in TAI were either sold at auction (and there’s no apparent digital record of the sales with images) or were apart of a private collection at the time of their transcriptions being made for The Papers of Alexander Hamilton.
This is a huge disappointment honestly. But I’ll make these scenes work the best I can. Unlike Harold Syrett and the rest of the team that worked on The PAH series, I’m just a single person—not employed or getting funding from a big-name university to hunt down these manuscripts. So we’ll see how this goes. I’d do almost anything to get my hands on them though.

When it comes to purchasing a car, the traditional route of visiting dealerships or private sellers is not the only option available. Car auctions present a unique opportunity for buyers to potentially snag a great deal on a vehicle. However, the allure of auctions comes with its own set of considerations and risks.
