Henry Creel x Ftm!Reader
@ryancreelstrangerthings !!
Summary: Reader comes out as trans
You fumbled with your fingers nervously, sitting across the dining room table from Henry. The two of you had escaped Hawkins Lab and have been dating for about a year. You decided you needed to tell him you are trans male.
"Henry?" Your voice cracked just saying his name, great.
He hummed in response, looking up. "What is it, dear?"
You took a deep breath. Not that that really helped how hard and fast your heart was pounding in your chest. "I'm... I'm uh..." 'Stop hesitating! Just spit it out!' You cursed yourself.
Henry waited patiently for you to speak. He sat up tall, looking you in the eye with curiosity. "Yes?"
You swallowed hard, looking away. You weren't going to chicken out now. You wouldn't let yourself. You had already chickened out at least twice.
"I'm... trans." You said, looking up at him and making eye contact.
Henry saw the nervousness and anxiety written all over you. You were what? 'Trans'? What does that mean? Did you not love him anymore?
"Trans?" He asked confusedly, his eyebrows furrowing.
"Yeah- Yes." You stammered, glancing down and then back up at him.
"What does that mean?" He asked.
You realized being transgender wasn't really a thing when you two were younger, and it was incredibly uncommon still. He had been locked away in that hellish lab for 20 years, of course he isn't aware of transgenderism.
"I'm... I was... born a girl, but... switched to be a boy through surgery." You said simply.
He furrowed his brows more in confusion. "So, you're a woman?" He said confusedly. He wasn't sure how to take this, he was openly gay to you. But.... you were you, and he loved you. Maybe he was attracted to women as well? He felt his attraction to you shift slightly.
"No! No, I was born as a girl, but I had surgery to become a boy." You corrected him. "It's called transgenderism. It's not very common, but it's there. Sometimes people are born in the wrong bodies, and for me, I was a man trapped in a woman's body, but now I'm finally me." You explained. You hoped with all your heart that he would understand what you mean. You were internally begging any supernatural force for him to still be as in love with you as he was before, for him to still see you as a man.
After hearing your explanation, it made a lot more sense to Henry. He understood. "Ah." He nodded. He waited a moment, then said, "I understand now. You confused me at first, but now I see. So, you're a man now, but you weren't always?" He asked.
You nodded, smiling a little.
He looked down and nodded again. "So you are a man now? You have a..." he tailed off.
You nodded. "Yes. I haven't gotten top surgery yet, though. I could only afford one, so... I use a binder. It's like a really really tight sports bra, almost."
Henry nodded, looking into your eyes. "Alright." He gave you a small smile. "So, you still love me?"
"What?" You laughed. "Of course! Why wouldn't I?"
Henry tried to hide it, but he was incredibly relieved. "I wasn't sure what trans meant at first, I was worried you meant you didn't love me anymore." He mumbled.
He was such a sweet baby. "Of course I still love you! I was afraid that you wouldn't love me." You chuckled.
"I wouldn't love you?" He sounded baffled by this, like it was the most absurd thing he had ever heard in his life.
"Well... I dunno, I've lost a lot of friends for being who I am." You said awkwardly. "I... didn't know how you'd take it."
Henry blinked a few times, still staring into your eyes. He only did that when he was incredibly surprised. He rarely ever blinked to the point in which it was a bit unsettling. "I would never leave you, no matter what. You are my everything."

Since I've finished my Scream AU for my rare pair Creelson, I decided to share it here as well.
Each chapter has a different plot but in the same universe, mainly based on Scream (1996). There's definitely some heavy stuff in this fic. Mind the tags and read the notes carefully.
Chapter 1: Ghostface Henry, Ghostface Jane (Murder Siblings). Eddie as Casey Becker. Chrissy as Steven Orth. That intro scene.
Chapter 2: Ghostface Henry. Eddie as Tatum Riley. That scene in the garage.
Chapter 3: Retired Ghostface Henry. Eddie as the Copycat Ghostface who thinks pulling a prank is fun (he learns that it's not)
Chapter 4: Heavy gory stuff. Ghostface Henry (as Billy Loomis) and Ghostface Eddie (as Stu Macher). Nancy as Sidney, Heather as Tatum, Jonathan as Randy. They're basically murder boyfriends. That last scene in Scream.
Chapter 5: Murder Husbands/Murder Family. Retired Ghostfaces Henry and Eddie want to reminisce about their kills together. An accident happens.
Scream, Baby, Scream on ao3

Yandere Henry Creel (3/9)
Tumblr media
Word count ; 4.2k
*Edited.
That is, until there was but one child remaining. Eleven. I was tense and emotionally exhausted. I felt bad for each and every one of them, Two included. He was but a product of his environment, and nobody had ever taught him about morale or kindness. Nor had he ever received it.
Eleven was shaking in her boots. She sucked in a firm breath. Henry, his shoes clacking loudly in the silent room, went behind the young girl. He tied it with ease. And then, unlike the others, I noticed that he leaned over her shoulder and whispered something to her. Papa noticed. And I already knew Henry would be reprimanded later for his ‘disobedience.’
He returned to his spot against the wall, and I relaxed as I felt his arm against mine. Papa glanced, clearly displeased by what he did. However he didn’t call attention to it. Instead, he turned back and stated,” Begin.”
Both were shuddering tremendously, trying so very hard to muster the strength. My attention was completely stolen. At least, that was until I felt something press against my hand. I almost jerked away, but I recognized Henry’s soft fingers as they glided across my palm and he scooted closer, pushing our hands out of sight.
I gulped and I could only hope that my cheeks didn’t flush. There was something so much more loving as we held hands in secret, and as we watched the battle - me with great dismay -, I gained comfort from the quiet reminder that Henry hadn’t forgotten me yet.
My gaze returned to Eleven. She was grunting loudly, painfully, and Two was still seething. My heart accelerated, but this time, not from Henry’s gentle touch. His thumb circled over my skin smoothly and I gripped even tighter, watching with wide eyes.
Suddenly, Eleven was scooted back to the edge of the circle. There was something almost entertaining about it all, as though it were a nation-wide sport, and I could tell from the look in Papa’s eyes that he found it amusing. But Eleven regained her composure. Blood was dripping down both of their noses, and my brows furrowed.
As she raised her hand, a scream broke loose. Two clearly caught off guard, was thrust into the wall. I gasped audibly this time, but Henry squeezed my hand, reminding me not to react. Tears threatened to fall because this entire situation still appalled me.
Two’s body had left cracks in the glass and he tumbled to the floor. Eleven was panting furiously and lowered the blindfold, horror dawning in her eyes. Two used the wall to stand up, tearing off the blindfold in disbelief. There was something threatening in his gaze.
“Well, well. It looks like we have a new winner.”
~~~
I washed my face in the employee bathroom for the umpteenth time that day. Henry had yet to visit me in my dreams, and I was getting worried. Were they monitoring him so deeply? It had been god knows how long - at least a week - since we’d interacted, other than fleeting, affectionate glances. Not since we held hands. And I clung to that memory tightly.
For a place so ‘peaceful,’ it was horrible. Two was electrocuted severely for hurting Eleven so, and he came crying to me about it. About how badly he just wanted to impress Papa and be the best. And I couldn’t help myself. Nobody had heard, but I promised him. That things would get better soon.
And the adoration I held for Henry was starting to wear off. I needed his comfort to keep me sane in this hell, and without him, I was reduced to a pile of ashen rubble. Every time I went to the bathroom, I ended up taking longer than a minute - like I once did before skipping around the house to continue what I was doing - because I just couldn’t stop crying. Everything about this place was evil.
And with Henry’s silence and odd behavior I was starting to wonder if I was as trapped as him and all the other poor children.
As I raised my head and faced the mirror, I sniffled. I looked so miserable. My face was pale from the lack of sunlight exposure. I wasn’t able to stomach as much food because of the depression that consumed me. I barely slept because eI hardly expected Henry to be there.
And then, the knob to the bathroom jiggled. My voice was croaking, but I managed,” Occupato!”
“…It’s me.”
I almost melted at the sound of his gorgeous voice. Without thought, I threw the door open. He stumbled inside, seemingly weaker than usual. It worried me, because he looked so very tired. He pushed and locked door behind us, though.
And it was like he was consumed with an entirely new disparity and passion. Before I could get even a word out, I was pushed up against the sink. I gasped out of surprise, feeling my cheeks darken. At the same time, an arm snaked around my waist and pulled me closer, while the other tilted my head up.
“Hen —“
He cut me off entirely, pressing his lips against mine. It took me a moment to realize, and he pushed himself against me further. I reciprocated after I regained composure. More tears escaped and I swung my arms around his neck, closing any conceivable distance between us.
Oh, how I missed the feeling of his lips against mine. But never had he been so passionate. He was always so sweet and gentle. But now, he was aggressive, but not so much to be harmfully so. I couldn’t complain, though. I had just as much pent up frustration, and only Henry could sooth it.
His hands suddenly went to my legs and he lifted me onto the sink, pressing me against the faucet and mirror. It was uncomfortable, but I didn’t care. I swung my legs around his waist, grasping at his neck even closer. He kept kissing me, again and again, and I never wanted him to stop.
But then, as I went to paw at his chest, he grunted and his nose scrunched up. My eyes opened in shock, and I stopped my movements. Henry didn’t though continuing to kiss me. However, he was in pain and I knew it. My hands maneuvered up to his shoulder and I poked him gently.
Only then did his eyes shoot open and he separated. We were both panting quietly and his face was flushed. He still looked so agonized, barely able to stand straight. His hands placed themselves on the rim of the sink for support and he stared at me sadly.
“What’s wrong, my dear?” he hummed, although there was an edge to his voice.
I frowned and as I fluttered my eyes at him, my hand drifted up to his cheek. I stroked it gently and his eyes shut instantly, leaning into it with a sigh. All of the disscontempt seemed to melt away from my touch, and I couldn’t help but cry softly.
“What did they do to you, Henry? What’s wrong?”
He mouth opened and then shut again. He gulped and inhaled sharply. “Was I not allowed to see the love of my life?” There was no venom in his tone, and he was attempting to dodge the question. He always spoke even silkier when he wanted to maintain a secret.
“Of course I wanted to see you, Henry. I’ve missed you,” I cooed. His eyes opened and he lifted a trembling hand, wiping away the tears from my cheeks. “But you’re hurt. Please, you can tell me. I need to know what they did to you.”
Henry sighed. Before I was taken, he never sighed even once. But ever since I’d been here, it’s all he ever seemed to do. He was so much unhappier in real life, and I wished nothing more than for him to be happy. It pained me to no end to see how they insisted on hurting him and the poor, helpless children.
“They have noticed how I cater to Eleven. But I’m… especially fond of her,” he admitted, smiling sadly. “She reminds me of myself when I was younger. Alone and different but powerful. And I think - no, I know - that she can get us out.”
I gasped quietly, although it was mostly of joy. I grasped his shoulders before wrapping him in a warm hug. He chuckled lowly and returned it, his soft, blonde locks tickling my neck. I heard him inhale deeply, burying his nose in my hair.
“That’s wonderful, Henry! I hope we’re able to get all of the children out. Or, at least, call the government a - and put a stop to this place! I don’t think I could ever abandon even one of them…”
I felt him tense, and I couldn’t help but wonder why. Was he scared? Worried? Had he truly known this place his entire life?
But then, he laughed. I’d never heard him laugh so loudly, and he left the hug, instead standing in between me and clasping my hands tightly. He looked so happy and light and his beautiful smile was infectious. I giggled too, although I could never tell you what for.
As his laughs dimmed, adorning a charming smile and a twinkle in his eyes, he raised my arm. He began peppering butterfly kisses. Some on the back of my hand, but then he began trailing them up my arm. I giggled further, beaming. Henry was the cure to everything. We were in love and always would be. I had never been more certain of anything in my life.
He trailed the kisses along my uniform, moving my sleeve up further with each kiss. He reached my shoulder, and he paused, his pretty doe eyes flickering up to me. I grinned down at him, cheeks burning up and my smile irreplaceable. Henry just had that effect. He was so perfect and I thought of nothing but him when I was with him.
He was entrancing.
“I love you, Y/n.”
“And I love you, Henry. So very much.”
“The most?”
I paused at his odd statement. He was staring at me so innocently and with such a joyous grin as his head once again leveled with mine, his forehead pressing against my own. I supposed he needed comfort, of course. And who else did I love as much as him?
“Without a doubt, my love.”
He bit his lips, glancing over my expression with a fleeting amount of worry. I opened my mouth to ask, fingers ghosting over his exposed neck carefully where the horrible monitoring device remained tracking our every movements.
“…Would you still love me if I had to do something immoral?”
I tilted my head slightly in confusion, meeting his eye with concern. “What do have to do, Henry?”
I trusted him. He was a good man and an even better lover. He would never do anything unnecessary. I already knew he’d have to defend himself when we made our escape, and if people - Papa, hopefully - died in the crossfire, then I would be okay with it.
He gulped, collecting his thoughts. I could feel every breath against my lips, and I cherished how close we were. I was so very happy. Henry was the cure to every ailment and I was sure of it.
“There would be some casualties… I will try, my dear, to spare those that mean no harm, but… I will tell you the plan later. Do you trust me and will you always love me?”
I paused again, digesting what he said. His voice was sweet as honey, but too sweet. Perhaps he was sparing me from the brutality of it. He was the most thoughtful person I’d ever met and treated me like royalty. The answer was easy for me. I was madly in love with Henry.
“Yes, Henry. I trust you. And I will always love you, no matter what.”
His entire body froze and his eyes widened. I giggled quietly. I had taken his breath away, like he so often did to me. Usually, Henry had such a calm and collected composure, but today, he’d throw it all out the window. I enjoyed the new side of him. It was thrilling and exotic.
However, as his eyes rolled over my body in such a sultry, foreign way, he asked one final question.
“Do you love me unconditionally?”
“Yes, Henry. You know I do,” I mewled dreamingly, desiring to reconnect our lips.
He smiled, all hurt dissolving in an instant. He was so sure in himself and I loved to see him that way. His hands fell from the rim of the sink. My eyes widened as I felt the zipper on the back being tugged on. My heart accelerated more than I thought was humanly possible,
I gasped as it slid down my back and he paused unsurely, eyes meeting my own again. His mouth twitched. “Is this alright, my dear?”
I pursed my lips before breaking into a smile. I giggled like a school girl with a crush and Henry smiled, continuing to unzip the uniform. I leaned forward and started working on his own. I became more and more bashful, although it was like my entire body was on fire as we progressed in undressing.
“I want you, Henry, and nothing else.”
“Then marry me.”
“In a heartbeat.”
~~~
On my way to the storage room, of which Henry told me to go to immediately when the playtime after lunch began, I ran right into Eleven. As tense as she was, though, Henry must’ve tipped her of my trustworthiness. She was so very shaky and was still struggling from the beating Two and his friends gave her. In her tiny hands was a keycard.
“Here,” I whispered as I led her down the hallway. “Let me keep that. Just in case.”
Her tiny hands pressed it into mine and I tucked it into my pocket. Henry hadn’t told me much of what the game plan was, even when I tried to pry the information out of him after we made love. So, instead, I maintained a blind trust in him. I placed my hand on the small of Eleven’s back and  urged her toward the game plan.
We arrived at the storage house and I used my keycard to unlock it. Inside was desolate and large and dark. I didn’t want to flick on the lights, instead vying for my eyes to adjust. I could hear Eleven panting heavily and I held her closer. We entered further, and then, within the darkness, I saw him.
Henry appeared from around a bookshelf, and he when Eleven jumped, he raised a finger to his lips and patted her shoulder. His eyes flitted over to me nd he was as calm and collected as he tended to be, eyes surveying for anyone else.
“Quiet. Follow me.”
He removed himself fro Even, instead leading us through the various shelves until we made it to the wall. I saw a small circular vent that only the children and myself could fit through, and it made me wonder what Henry had in mind for himself. He beckoned Eleven in particular over and crouched. She followed suit.
“Now, it’s going to be a bit scary, but you’ll fit.”
“But… you?”
H sent her a reassuring smile. “That is where you come in, Eleven. I the to ask this of you, but —” He motioned for her to stand and he joined my side, an arm wrapping around me. I leaned into him by default, my heart beating erratically. “—You and the other children are not the only ones trapped here, Eleven. Everyone here is a prisoner, Eleven. Not just you. We are, too.”
“What… do you mean?” Eleven asked quietly, eyeing between us in confusion.
“Here.”
He leaned over and tilted his head. He brushed his soft hair out of the way, revealing the tracker planted in his neck. On instinct, Eleven reached toward it, gasping quietly. She didn’t quite understand, but she knew that it was bad news.
“You see, Eleven, everywhere I go, they can follow me. I could escape if I so pleased but they would find me. I - we - are trapped here.”
“Help.”
Henry smiled softly. “Yes. I need you to help. See, I want you to take it out of my neck so then I can help Y/n here.”
Her eyes furrowed and I gasped quietly, fingers squeezing his arm. He sent me a smile, doe eyes fluttering knowingly. I gulped down my questions, even if tears threatened to fall. I didn’t want for Henry to hurt further. Eleven clearly shared the notion.
“Hurt.”
Henry chuckled lowly. “Remember. You can’t hurt me anymore than they already have. Come, Eleven.”
He sat against a pillar and I crouched down next to him. His voice was honey smooth and I wiped away the tears. This was necessary. All of this was, even the potential fatalities that would follow. I was consumed with dread, even though I trusted that Henry knew what he was doing.
He pulled his knees to his chest and I sat beside me. His hand searched for my own, and although his expression was peaceful, from how tightly he squeezed my hand, I knew he was not. He didn’t like being hurt. Nobody did. And it pained me to see him this way. Eleven stood in front of him bare feet flexing anxiously agains the ground.
Henry, with his free hand, grunted in anticipation and revealed the small tracker in his neck. Veins were popping out of his arm from how worried he was. However, he was doing his best to maintain the atmosphere. Eleven and all the children were good. At the bare minimum, they knew that hurting people was wrong.
Eleven stepped and raised her hand. I offered him a cloth and held it to his mouth. And then, it was like there was a small whirring in the air. Henry was shaking and continued to pant into the cloth. I comforted him, a few tears escaping. And then, all of a sudden, a pop sounded and a small piece of metal flew from his neck.
I gasped and Henry released me entirely, completely exhausted. However, I turned him toward me. I used the cloth and wrapped it around his neck. Already, blood was spewing from it, but the cloth caught it. I cupped his cheeks as he tried to recover.
“Henry, it’s alright,” I hushed. “It’s over.”
It clattered against the ground. Henry didn’t acknowledge it, instead pushing himself up to his feet. He was oddly spry, not needing any time at all to recover. I bit my lip in concern as he walked toward the small, black device. He seemed so strong for someone who just had his neck torn up.
He crouched and picked up the piece. Eleven was panting, some blood dripping from her nose. I sighed and went over to her. Using her uniform, I drew her attention to me as I used her sleeve today it away. Something I always wanted to do because it wasn’t healthy for the kids to bleeding constantly.
Henry rotated it in his hands. His brows were furrowed and I’d never seen such a serious twinkle in his eyes before. His smile was faded and there was anger present in his eyes. I stood beside Eleven in concern, about to call out for him. He had a firm furious frown tugging against his cheeks.
“Who knew something so small could cause so much trouble,” he hummed in distaste.
His expression completely morphed to the one I was familiar with. Innocent azure eyes, a soft smile, and all the tenseness having faded. He sent me a smile and allowed the device to plop to the ground.
“Thank you.”
Eleven, with another huff, nodded. One of her hands grasped onto my uniform tightly, and although she didn’t yet have the vocabulary to express it, she worried for Henry too. As some blood dripped again, she wiped in with a new resolution.
Suddenly, from up the stairs, the door burst open and a burning flashlight broke through. Angry men roared and Henry was the first to react. He grabbed my arm and I grabbed Eleven. “Run!” he bellowed, pulling us down the corridors. I could hear various ‘freeze’ and ‘stop where you are’s flying at us from behind.
We took a sharp turn, the men hot on our trails. Their flashlight lit up the path for us, and a small shriek escaped my lips. Henry pulled us up the stairs, our shoes or lack thereof clacking against the metal.
“Lock it down, lock it down!”
Henry threw open the doors, making sure we made it through first. His hands barely grasped onto my lower arm again, and as the door shut from behind, men in green suits appeared from the end of the corridor. A squeak escaped as I pushed Eleven behind me protectively, and Henry wasn’t having any of it.
We from, and from behind us, the others appeared. We were completely closed in and I could feel Eleven trembling. Henry looked almost gleeful, though. He still maintained a quaint smile as he glanced between the two groups.
“Hey! Where do you think you’re going?”
One of the men started up an electric stick. I gasped and Henry glanced at me. He was firm and resolute not an ounce of fear present on his handsome features.
“Against the wall! All of you! Now!”
I gulped and turned toward the wall. However Henry’s arm shot out, stopping me. “No. You don’t have to be afraid of them, Y/n. Not anymore.”
The man we were facing had a growing smirk. Henry’s breathing became heavier. The man nodded to the other, and they drew closer.
Henry’s nose flared.
And then, all of a sudden, he raised his hand to the ones behind us. I gasped and Eleven was also startled, holding onto my uniform tighter. The men were thrown into the wall, grunting loudly. The lights were flickering manically and the walls were crumbling.
I pulled Eleven away, trying my best to suppress my fear. I knew Henry had powers. He was once one of the number, and most likely, the first. And I trusted him. He was doing what was necessary.
One man was thrown into the ceiling, a loud crack resonating in the hallway. The others were thrown every which way. Only one man was left standing, and I noticed how Henry’s dark expression had returned. The man wanted to yield, but Henry’s glare deepened and a frown graced his angelic face.
And then, he tilted his neck.
The man’s entire head was turned and he collapsed the ground. I screeched, shivers rolling down my spine. Tears threatened to fall once more. I understood he was doing what he thought he had to, but that man wasn’t attacking, right?
Eleven turned to look at us. He was dead serious, no longer hiding the dim mood he was in. I didn’t even manage to get a word out as he exclaimed,” Come.”
He grabbed me, and Eleven followed suit. He pulled us into a cleaning closet, slamming the door behind us. I was panting, feeling so very anxious. Henry had always been so sweet and gentle and kind. But he had snapped a pleading - and most likely, innocent - man’s neck without thought, and I tried so desperately to justify it.
Henry slammed the door. Eleven was confused and scared. He noticed I was, too, but he didn’t pay attention to it.
“Wait here. Don’t move. I’m going to find us a way out.”
I went to grab him, but Eleven beat me to it. “Oh, wait. H - how did you…”
Henry sent her a soft smile although his gaze was glued to me. “Like I said. We’re alike, you and I.”
Henry glanced down and pulled up his sleeve. Just like before, there it was, his zero-zero-one seared into his flesh, grey from wear and age. Realization dawned on Eleven and she met Henry’s expression once more. She was met with a mischievous grin, and just like that, he turned and left.
We were left standing there. Eleven was shellshocked. And I was horrified, still digesting what played out before me.
But I loved Henry. I trusted him. So why did I desire so badly to chase after him and see what he was doing?
“Eleven,” I spoke,” you need to stay here. I - I’m going after him. I promise, I’ll be back in a bit.”
Elven nodded curtly, knowing that I was doing what I knew I had to.

a/n: So, again, I decided to kind of combine two requests.  Someone from my Wattpad asked for a 001/Henry smut, and a lot of people wanted a part two of Always . So, I took it upon myself to give you both lol. I did leave this one open for a part three so let me know if you want one.  I know I mentioned in my last post that I'm packing to travel, so it may take me a little longer to get requests out.  Well, my flight is this week so just be aware of that lol. My next post will be an Eddie Munson x Male!Reader story (YAY FINALLY!!!), so be ready for that.  I've also been thinking of posting some of the songs I enjoy writing to...let me know if you want a little sneak peek into my writing playlist.  And, as always, thank you so so much for the support!
§
The alarm clock sitting on the nightstand beeped, alerting that it was time to get up. You stretched a little letting the soft sheets rub over your bare skin, and a tiny groan fell from your lips as you reached your arms over your head and extended your legs. That’s when Henry’s arm tightened around your torso. You rolled over and nuzzled into his chest. A small smile pulled at your lips when you looked into his sterling blue eyes. There was no other way you wanted to wake up.
For the past few months, every morning was the same. The alarm would go off a whole hour before you were supposed to report to your place of duty for the day. It allowed you enough time to get dressed, sneak back to your room, and get ready for the day. You hated sneaking around, but there was no other way. From day one, Brenner made it pretty clear that none of his orderlies or test subjects were allowed to be in a relationship. But that didn’t stop you and Henry. Although, you were certain that he was starting to figure out your little secret from how he was treating the two of you. His once tolerable abuse was becoming worse as the days went by. Almost every night, you would sneak into Henry’s room and have to heal new wounds that Brenner placed on his body. Henry told you it wasn’t necessary, but you couldn’t help yourself. You would never let him suffer.
Henry smiled down at you and pecked your nose.
“Good morning, beautiful,” he said, voice rough with sleep.
Your stomach did a tiny flip at the sound. Even after all those months, the sound of his voice in the morning was something you didn’t think you’d ever get used to.
“Good morning. I should probably get back to my room.”
Henry groaned and pouted.
“Five more minutes.”
You gave him a sympathetic smile.
“I can’t, baby,” you said before getting out of Henry’s bed and pulling your clothes back on.
Henry leaned up onto one of his elbows, watching your every move. You could feel his eyes on you as you buttoned your shirt and then moved to find your pants.
“What if I told you I found a way to get us out of here?” He suddenly asked.
You scoffed.
“I’d say you were joking.”
“But what if I’m not joking?”
The smile on your face fell, and you froze, staring at Henry. You couldn’t help the way your heart jumped in your chest at the possibility of finally leaving.
“Did you really find a way to escape?” You asked in a whisper.
Henry nodded and sat up, throwing his legs over the edge of the bed, making the duvet shift slightly. The bedding was barely covering his nude lower half.
“I told Dennis I’d take his shift doing janitorial work for the past month. So,” he ran a hand through his messy blonde hair, “I’ve got the master key.”
You let out a breathy laugh as a smile spread across your face. A joy you hadn’t felt in a very long time began to wash over you like a wave. You moved toward the bed until you were between Henry’s legs. His hands found your waist as soon as you were close enough.
“It’s a risk,” he said with a shrug, “but it’s the only chance we’ve got.”
You leaned in and firmly pressed your lips onto his. When you pulled back, you brushed some of his wavy locks off his forehead.
“I’m willing to try if you are.”
Henry cupped your cheek, and you let out a sigh at the feeling of his touch.
“Y/N,” he began, “I’d do anything for you. If you say we’re going, then we’re going.”
Your lips pulled upward before you leaned forward again, kissing him. At first, it was soft, but then it grew fervent. Shocks of pleasure shot through you when Henry’s fingers dug a little deeper into your waist. His hands crept from your hips to your lower back before he guided you down onto his lap so you were straddling him. His lips moved frantically over yours like it was the last time you’d ever kiss him. But you didn’t mind. The intensity was kindling a fire inside you that you always forgot Henry was able to ignite. His hands caressed your thighs before traveling up your back. You knew you should have told him that it was too late. You should have been sneaking back into your room instead of kissing him. But you couldn’t resist him. You were so happy that you and Henry would finally be able to leave and spend your lives together that all rational thoughts were gone.
Henry’s lips left yours and found your neck, sucking on the soft spot that never ceased to make your core clench. His hands slid down your arms and then started to work on unbuttoning your blouse. He didn’t have to look at what he was doing. You and he had been in this position so many times that it was like second nature. Within seconds, he was shoving the thin white fabric over your shoulders and back onto the floor. His mouth connected with yours again before he grabbed the back of your thighs and effortlessly stood from the bed. You could feel his muscles flex beneath your hands, and your heart began to beat faster. Henry turned and placed you on the bed. He stood over your figure, just taking in every inch of you. You could feel your face growing warmer the longer he stared at you, but you were used to it. Henry was nothing if not grateful for what he had, and he never failed to appreciate you in every way he could.
When Henry’s eyes finally landed back on yours, he didn’t waste any time bending down and undoing your pants, leaving you in your bra and panties. They were nothing special. Just plain white. But Henry still found a way to make you feel like the most beautiful woman in them. Henry bent down, kissed your ankle, and then started to move up your leg. Each kiss was soft and sweet. He inched up your leg until his mouth was hovering over your core. He placed the gentlest kiss over your panties, then kept moving. His lips peppered kisses over your stomach, then over the hills of your breasts, before finally reaching your neck. He nuzzled a little earning a tiny giggle from you, then looked at you.
“You’re the sexiest woman in the world. Do you know that?”
His voice was a mixture of sleep and seduction. It had you melting. You bit your bottom lip in an attempt to control yourself. From the way his heavy eyes were staring at you to the way his voice sounded, you were sure you would be able to go right then. Henry cupped your cheek again and used his thumb to pull your lip free from your teeth. Your lips parted right before he slid his thumb into your mouth. You welcomed the bitter taste of his finger on your tongue and shut your lips, sucking a little. He raised his eyebrows, and a sexy smirk formed on his lips as he pulled his thumb from your mouth. Henry used his other hand to slide under your back and unclasp your bra. He removed it from your body and then took one of your nipples between his forefinger and wet thumb. You gasped at the sensation. He lightly tugged and twisted your bud before leaning down and pulling your other nipple into his mouth.
A moan fell from your lips as your head lulled back. His tongue swirled over the sensitive skin of your breast while his rough fingers worked on your other. You could feel yourself getting wetter with each suck and pull Henry’s fingers and tongue made. You needed to feel something where you wanted him. When you felt Henry’s growing erection begin to press against your wet pussy, you couldn’t help how your hips began to lazily buck against him. You could feel Henry shift his weight just slightly to dip his pelvis down, allowing for more friction. With each thrust, your clit rubbed against his warm skin. You let out a long slow moan in thanks, and Henry chuckled. The vibration against your nipple, paired with the sensations you were gaining from thrusting into Henry, almost sent you over the edge. But Henry released both your breasts and lightly pressed your hips down into the bed. It was more of a question than a demand, but you still stopped bucking, allowing him to begin kissing down your torso.
Your breathing was already a little labored, and when his lips stopped just above the hemline of your panties, you almost stopped breathing altogether. He hooked a forefinger through each side and looked at you through hooded eyes.
“Do you mind if I move these out of my way?”
You shook your head a little too vigorously, and Henry chuckled.
“Good,” he said before sliding your panties down your legs.
Henry looked at how wet you were, licked his lips, and then lowered himself between your spread legs. You could feel his breath over your core and were tempted to just grab his face and shove him where you wanted him most. But you didn’t. Instead, you watched as he took a long slow lick up your pussy. He never broke eye contact when he did it again. You moaned with pleasure and let your head fall back as Henry went to work on you. His tongue licked and lapped up and down your wet pussy before wrapping his lips around your clit. Your moans got louder as his tongue began to draw figure eights. You were so wet you were sure Henry was going to drown, but you didn’t even care. All you wanted was to cum all over his face. He sucked and licked your clit, sending shivers throughout your whole body.
When Henry finally pulled away, you let out a little whine. But your disappointment was short-lived. Henry wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, crawled over your body, then attached his lips to your neck again. Another moan fell from your lips, and Henry groaned into your neck.
“I love that sound.”
You hummed and turned your head to the side to expose even more flesh for him.
“I love you.”
Henry chuckled and lifted himself to look into your eye.
“I love you too, baby.”
Then, he reached between his legs and slowly slid into you. Even though you and Henry had been here before, it always felt like the first time. Your body felt like it was buzzing as Henry began to slide in and out of you. Each thrust was slow and sensual. They were measured and careful. He wanted to feel every inch of you like he was trying to memorize you. He dropped his head into the crook of your neck. You could hear his labored breathing and his low groans that turned into whines. Your lips parted as a moan came out. The sound of Henry’s whines of pleasure was angelic. You could listen to them all day.
It was so soft each time Henry pressed deep into you. You began to buck into him, driving him even deeper and getting a little friction against your clit. So, Henry angled his hips down so that you didn’t have to do any work. Every thrust he made, his pelvis rubbed right against your clit, making you a moaning mess from the pleasure you were feeling. Your hands gripped Henry’s toned back, making him whine even more into your ear. You could feel yourself getting closer, and by the way Henry’s erection was twitching inside of you, you knew he was close too. You arched your back a little, pressing your breasts into Henry’s chest, and he burrowed his head even further into your neck. One of his hands slid down the length of your thigh before gripping it and pulling your leg over his back. He began to thrust into you a little faster, and you could feel your high getting closer. You shut your eyes and dug your nails into Henry’s back until, finally, you were unraveling around him, and he was going inside of you.
Both of you let out one final moan before Henry pulled out and fell next to you on the small bed. You were both out of breath as you curled into Henry’s side, his arm wrapping around your waist to pull you closer. Neither of you made any effort to move until Henry started drawing lazy circles on your side. You wiggled under his touch and started to giggle.
“Don’t do that. It tickles.”
“What?” Henry asked, “This?”
He poked your side, and you jumped.
“Yes, that?”
“Oh,” Henry began, a playful smirk gracing his lips, “you don’t like when I do this right here?”
His fingers started an assault on your sides, causing you to squeal and wriggle under his hands.
“Stop, stop,” you squeaked through your giggles.
Henry attacked your sides for a beat more until you were both panting from laughing so hard. He propped himself up on his elbow and looked down at you. You would never get over the way he stared at you. It was as if you were the only important thing in the world. Like you were the only thing that ever did and ever would matter. He bent down and placed a soft kiss on your lips.
“I love you, Y/N.”
Your lips curled up just slightly.
“I love you too, Henry.”
He was staring at you again when suddenly, the door burst open. You pulled the duvet over your chest, and Henry sat upright to look at the door. Your stomach fell to the floor as you watched Brenner and two other orderlies walk into the room. You snuck a glance at the clock and realized both of you were already over thirty minutes late. It wasn’t a surprise that he barged in. And it wasn’t a surprise that he knew exactly where to find the two of you. But still, you couldn’t help the fear that began to unfurl inside you. Brenner’s stare was cold and hard. Ominous and dark, like he was evil in the flesh. He looked from you to Henry, then back.
“I see the rules don’t matter to either of you,” he said, his voice bouncing off the bare walls.
You and Henry were silent. Brenner raised his eyebrows.
“What? All of a sudden, neither of you have anything to say?” He asked with a shrug. “Hm. That’s a first. No matter. You,” he pointed at you, “get your clothes on. You’re coming with me.”
“No,” Henry finally said. He sat up a little straighter in an attempt to put himself in front of you.
“It was my idea. Take me instead.”
Brenner’s stare got even darker.
“No, Henry. I thought that after constantly being punished on Y/N’s behalf, you would learn your lesson. But clearly, I was wrong. So, I have to reach you another way.”
He turned his glare to you once again, and now a sneer was playing on his lips.
“Get dressed,” was all he said before exiting the room with the two orderlies.
You could already feel your hands shaking as the fear tried to claw its way out of you. Once the door was shut, you didn’t waste any time. You shot out of bed and started grabbing your discarded garments. It was evident that your hands were trembling as you tried and failed several times to button your blouse. Your throat burned with tears that you tried to swallow down. But when you felt a sleek wet stream down your cheek, you knew that you weren’t doing a great job. You could hear Henry get out of the bed and pull on his briefs behind you, but you couldn’t bring yourself to face him. Not while you were trying to cover up the fact that you were crying. But he knew. He always did. And when you turned to face him, he was already standing there, his hands immediately on your cheeks wiping the tears away.
“Don’t worry, love. I’m getting us out of here, okay? Remember, it’s you and me. Always.
You sniffled and nodded.
“Always.”
Henry planted a firm kiss on your forehead before letting you go to leave the room. As soon as you were in the hallway, the two orderlies that were with Brenner seized your arms. They didn’t give you a chance to get your feet under you as they dragged you down the hall. Each room you passed, you looked inside. Some of the children were practicing using their powers; others just looked away as if they didn’t hear you being hauled away. But one child didn’t shy away. No, she watched you the entire time, never breaking eye contact. As you passed Eleven’s room, she stared in silence, and you stared back until she was out of your line of sight and you were being thrown into an empty room.
You slammed into the cold tile floor. You were unfamiliar with this room, but you imagined it’s where Brenner took Henry every time he punished him. It was unwelcoming, the only thing inside an empty table. You tried to stumble to your feet, but before you could stand up, a sharp sting zinged through your body. You let out a yelp as you fell to the floor. A pair of shiny black dress shoes came into your line of sight, and you knew that zap was only the beginning.
“After everything I did for you, Y/N, you still choose to disrespect me.”
You sat up onto your knees only to be tased again. Both the orderlies that dragged you into the room poked you with their tasers, sending you into a mini convulsion. You let out a long groan, and when they stopped, you dropped your head.
“I took you in, Y/N,” Brenner said calmly.
You lifted your head in disbelief.
“No, you imprisoned me.”
Brenner nodded toward you, and the orderlies zapped you again. They kept the sticks on you for longer than necessary. But you imagined that’s what Brenner wanted. He wanted you in pain. He wanted to hear you cry and scream for mercy. Tears started to roll down your face the longer the harsh burn of the taser stayed on your body, and soon a scream clawed its way out of you. Finally, they stopped, and you slumped down onto the floor. Your face hit the cool tile, and you couldn’t bother to pick yourself up.
“You were supposed to be special,” Brenner said, his voice rising. “And when it turned out you were average, I couldn’t send you back. You already knew too much.”
Another two long zaps shot through your body, and you cried out in pain. Your vision was blurring, and you weren’t sure if it was from the pain or the tears.
“Everything I did to you was never to hurt you, Y/N! It was to earn your respect!”
Brenner took in a breath.
“But it seems you and Henry still refuse to give me any. So, I’ve had to resort to this.”
The sticks poked your sides, sending you into another bout of convulsions. You were screaming so loud that your throat felt like it was on fire. Your brain felt cloudy, and your body was shaking. Your eyes were closed, but you heard the familiar click of Brenner’s shoes approach you. You were yanked up from the floor by the two orderlies, and Brenner’s cold hand grabbed your chin, forcing you to look at him.
“I own you,” he said through gritted teeth. “You will respect me, Y/N.”
You were seeing double of Brenner. Your vision was going in and out as you tried to focus on him. When you finally settled in on his steely eyes, you gave him the sweetest smile you could and said, “Go to hell.”
His fingers dug into your face for a second before he threw you back to the ground. You could hear him walking away, but that sound was soon drowned out by the zapping of the tasers and your screams. The two orderlies repeatedly tased you until you floated off into darkness.
You were drifting through the darkness until you felt an incessant poking. Your name echoed through your head, and it sounded so far away. Your eyes felt heavy, and you didn’t think you had the strength to open them, but the poking didn’t stop. So, finally, your eyes fluttered open. It took a minute for them to focus, but when they did, you were welcomed by the sight of Henry.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay. It’s me, baby. You’re okay now.”
Henry planted a kiss on your lips and then on your forehead. Your body felt sore, and you groaned a little as you sat up. When you looked around, you realized you were in your room. Everything looked the same until your eyes landed on Eleven standing just behind Henry.
“What is she doing here?” You asked, panic dripping off each word.
“It’s okay,” Henry said, brushing the side of your face, “she’s going to help us in exchange for her own escape.”
You looked back at the little girl. Even though you spent a lot of time with the children, you hadn’t really talked to Eleven. Any time you were in the Rainbow Room, she would always gravitate toward Henry. You weren’t even sure how strong she was, especially since she was so tiny. But if Henry believed in her, so did you. So, you nodded and looked back at him.
“Okay.”
Henry smiled and turned toward Eleven to give her an approving nod. But when he turned, you noticed a streak of blood dripping down the side of his neck. You reached your hand out to heal him, but Henry took your hand in his, stopping you.
“Save your energy. I’m fine.”
He kissed the back of your hand.
“Are you ready?”
You couldn’t help the giddy feeling that filled you. You and Henry were mere moments away from leaving your prison. You would be able to start your lives together like a real couple. You’d be able to travel and visit all the places he showed you when you were teenagers. You’d be able to buy a house and maybe even start a family. Henry gave your hand a light squeeze, and you refocused on him. He looked at you in anticipation, and you nodded. He smiled, gave you one more sweet kiss, then helped you to your feet.
He opened the door, and after he made sure the coast was clear, he exited. You and Eleven followed him closely as he marched down the hall. He looked different than you had ever seen him. He was always confident, but now he looked powerful. Henry led you all down a maze of halls until you ran across a guard who stood in front of a set of double doors. The man straightened when he saw you all approaching.
“Hey, what are you-”
He didn’t get to finish his statement before Henry flicked his head to the side, sending the man flying into the wall. His blood splattered everywhere as his body fell to the floor, limp. Your mouth fell open. You had never seen Henry like this before. He only ever showed you the good side of his powers. You never saw the more sinister side. He turned to face you and Eleven and didn’t seem fazed by your shock. Instead, he bent down to be on Eleven’s level. He placed his hand on her shoulder.
“Remember what we talked about?”
She nodded.
“Good,” he said. “So, you know what to do.”
He stood up and began to walk toward the double doors, but you grabbed his arm to stop him.
“Where are you going?”
“Don’t worry,” he said with a smile, “Eleven will protect you. I’ll see you soon.”
He didn’t give you a chance to reply before he walked off through the double doors. When the doors closed, Eleven moved to put you and the doors behind her. At first, it was silent. The only sound you could hear was your heavy beating heart and ragged breathing. You were aimlessly tapping your toes together, waiting for Henry to come back through the doors. Then the loud blare of the emergency alarm rang through the whole facility. You froze as the sound reverberated through your body. Eleven immediately stood up a little straighter facing down the long hall. You weren’t sure what was going on, but you didn’t dare move. Then, suddenly, the echo of rapid approaching footsteps came from down the corridor. You took a step back until your back ran into the doors. When the guards came into view, you held your breath. Eleven just watched them get closer and closer. You wanted to yell at her to do something, and a small part of you believed that Henry was wrong until she raised her hand. Then, just like Henry, she started making the guards go slamming into the walls. You watched her in awe. It amazed you that such a small girl could carry so much power. But you were proud to have witnessed it. One by one, she picked off the guards until there were no more coming toward the two of you.
Eleven wiped the blood from her nose, then took your hand in hers and led you through the double doors. You gasped at the scene. Blood was splattered against all the walls, and there were bodies of those you once called your coworkers scattered along the floor. The lights were flickering as the alarm continued to blare. Eleven didn’t let go of your hand as she began to run through the halls. You looked in each office you passed and kept looking behind you, hoping to see Henry somewhere. But the deeper you two ran into the facility, the more you began to get worried. He was nowhere to be found.
“Where’s Henry?” You asked.
Eleven shook her head and kept running.
“We need to keep going.”
“No,” you said firmly, trying to pull your hand from her grip. “We need to make sure Henry’s safe.”
“He’s fine!” The little girl shouted as she came to a complete stop, taking you aback. “Come on. The exit is just around the corner.”
Eleven began to run again until the two of you rounded the corner. Standing in front of you was a single elevator. Your forehead creased, and you scoffed. This was it. There was no way out, and the two of you were going to get caught. After something like this, Brenner wasn’t going to just punish you. He was going to kill you. But just as you were about to say something, Eleven pulled a set of keys out of her pocket. Your lips parted with realization. Henry gave her the master key.
The little girl plucked the key card from the set of keys, swiped it on the box sitting next to the elevator buttons, and then pushed the up button. You turned back to the long hallway, hoping that Henry would show up. It felt like every second was an hour, and yet he still was not running down the hall toward you and Eleven. You swallowed the panic that was creeping up your throat when the ding of the elevator sounded, but you didn’t move. Henry wasn’t there yet.
“Miss Y/N,” Eleven’s high-pitched voice grabbed your attention. “We have to go.”
You shook your head and turned back to the empty hall.
“No,” you said, voice cracking just slightly, “I’m not leaving without him.”
Eleven tugged on your blouse.
“I promised Mr. Henry that I’d keep you safe. He made me promise that I’d get you out of here.”
You turned to face her, and her eyes were more solemn than before as she finished with, “Even if he’s not with us.”
Your lip began to quiver as tears built in your eyes. You weren’t sure if they were angry or sad tears. It was so much like Henry to have this girl promise to leave him if it meant that you’d be safe. But you couldn’t leave him. That’s not what was supposed to happen. You and Henry were supposed to get out together and run away. You were supposed to run so far that Brenner and his posse of people would never be able to find either of you again. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. The tears dripped down your cheeks, and you tried to wipe them away, but it was no use.
“I can’t leave him,” you whispered.
Eleven took your hand again, and you looked down at her.
“Please, Miss Y/N,” she begged.
Just then, the shouts and footsteps of more guards filled your ears, and Eleven dropped your hand long enough to send the three men flying through the air. When their bodies slammed against the floor, she looked at you again.
“It’s time.”
A sob fell from your lips as you followed the little girl into the elevator. But when you turned around, Henry’s blonde figure rounded the corner. There was blood covering his face and his once-white clothes. You weren’t sure whose it was, but Henry didn’t look as strong as he had when he left you earlier. His eyes were a little sunken, and his stature was slumped. Close behind him was a mob of guards. More than you and Eleven had seen since he left you two, and you knew. Henry had left to try and get rid of as many guards as he could for your safe escape. But there were more than he had bargained for, and he couldn’t fight anymore. Now he had no other choice but to run. You grabbed Eleven’s arm.
“It’s him!” You shouted, taking a step toward the elevator doors. “We have to wait!”
Henry was sprinting toward you, but it felt like he was miles away. The guards were so close, and they were gaining on him. Henry waved his arms.
“Go!”
Your heart fell, and you shook your head.
“No,” you whispered.
“Go! Now!”
“No, no, no.” You went to step out of the elevator when Eleven’s hand grabbed your arm to stop you.
“No! Henry, please!”
You watched as the man you loved tried to make it to you. Agony was written all over his face. You knew he was tired and in pain, yet he was still running toward you. He never gave up. But you and he both knew. He wasn’t going to make it. A tear streaked through the blood on his face.
“I love you, Y/N.”
“Henry!” You shouted just as you pulled your arm free from Eleven’s grip. But it was too late. You watched Henry use his powers to shut the elevator door, and Eleven hit the button to send it into its ascension.
A sob ripped through you as you slammed your hands into the elevator doors. You were screaming as tears poured down your cheeks. Your hands banged on the doors, begging for them to open again. You needed them to open. But when they finally did, it wasn’t Henry who you saw. Instead, it was the lobby you saw years ago when Brenner first brought you to the lab. Eleven took your hand again and began to guide you through a back exit. You were numb. You weren’t even paying attention to where Eleven was bringing you. It meant nothing to you anymore. But you still followed her out the door and into the rainy night. The two of you trudged through the mud until you reached the fence closing in the lab. The little girl pulled back a piece that was loose and helped you through before following behind you. Once she was through, she took your hand again, and the two of you ran off into the woods. You looked back as the lab receded and let out another cry. You may have escaped, but you knew in your heart that wasn’t the last time you’d see Hawkins Lab because you were going to do everything you could to get Henry back.

“I’m counting now, one... two... three...” El snuck away from the living room as Henry stood with his eyes closed, slowly counting. After some persuasion, she had convinced him to play hide and seek with her, and he was currently the seeker. She tiptoed through the home, looking around for the perfect hiding place. She navigated through all the boxes, leaving the place in a cluttered state. Several boxes, both opened and unopened, were scattered about. They had moved to a bigger place recently and weren’t finished unpacking. In fact, they were currently taking a break from unpacking to play games; El’s suggestion. El noticed a spare closet with precariously stacked boxes in front of it. Henry wouldn’t suspect it whatsoever. It was perfect. She furrowed her eyebrows and frowned whilst looking up at the stack of boxes. It easily towered over her, though she wasn’t that tall, to begin with. Using what strength she had, El focused on shoving the boxes slightly out of the way and opened the door a little. The girl squeezed through the small opening. El was about to close it when she heard Henry finishing counting. Surprised by hearing him, El jumped; still gripping the doorknob. She pushed the door outwards with her momentum. It hit the boxes, causing the tower to fall and slam against the door; trapping her inside. El’s hands were practically glued to the doorknob as she turned it frantically nonstop. No matter how hard she pushed on the door, it wouldn’t budge. The pitch black of the closet felt like it was swallowing her whole. She squinted and tried looking at the palm of her hands, but could barely make them out. El’s heart raced as the walls almost appeared to close in on her. She panicked as the suffocating feeling worsened. Memories flashed through her head.
---
She remembered yelling as she was being dragged and uselessly fighting the guards that carried her. They threw her into a tight room. The walls and floor were padded. Despite that, her body ached from being thrown inside. Eleven quickly recovered and tried to run out and escape, but the solid heavy door was already closing, quickly shut; locking her in there. She screamed and sobbed, continuously hitting the door with her fists even when they started turning red and hurting. She begged for someone to let her out, for Papa to forgive her for misbehaving. After a minute or two, they turned whatever artificial light was available in the cell off, and she found herself in the dark. Eleven was essentially blind, only able to hear her uneven and panicked breathing. She stumbled around in the pitch black. The cell was small enough that her hands touched the walls as she stood in what she thought was the middle. In defeat, Eleven found one corner of the room and sank to the floor. She curled up with her knees close to her chest and gently rubbed her hands in an attempt to relieve the pain. She continued to cry until she exhausted herself and fell asleep. That wasn’t her only memory of solitary confinement, and it wouldn’t be the last.
---
El’s hands were clammy and her lungs ached as she started hyperventilating. “Let me out!” She yelled, banging on the door with her hands. She got a disturbing sense of deja vu. El’s body began to shake as she started sobbing. “I’m right here, El.” Henry had heard her cries and immediately found her. He worked on moving the boxes with his powers. Once it was clear, El looked at the doorknob and scrambled to turn and open it. She ran out and immediately bumped into Henry. Still panicking, without thinking she fought against his light touch. “Let go!” She cried. All that was on her mind was to run. To escape. The adrenaline ran through her body, only really emphasizing her survival mode. “El, El, it’s me. It’s Henry.” He crouched to her level and gently placed his hands on her shoulders, trying to snap her out of it. It worked, and El stared at him, then at the ground; not running. However, she continued to hyperventilate, escalating to a panic attack. “El, can you do some breathing exercises with me?” He asked, hoping she wasn’t too far gone. To Henry’s mild relief, El nodded. Henry took a deep breath, slowly breathing in and out. El mimicked him. She closed her eyes and continued to copy him until she had settled her breathing down enough. “See? You did it.” Henry softly smiled at her, feeling a slight sense of pride in his chest. Instead of smiling back, El felt the tears welling up in her eyes. Her bottom lip trembled, and she sniffled. Her crying started again, and she fell into Henry’s arms. She rested her head in the crook of his neck. Henry held her tightly in a hug, soothingly rubbing her back and whispering gentle words. His heart ached to see her so distraught. It made him feel powerless knowing that he couldn’t simply fix this. El’s tears slowed down. She took a shuddering breath and sighed. “I... I was looking for a good hiding place... but the boxes fell and blocked the door... I was stuck.” She stammered. “It’s so dark... and small in there...” El sniffled. “Made me remember things... bad things.” Her grip on his shirt tightened as she recalled. “I’m so sorry, El.” Henry sighed and frowned. She stopped hugging and simply looked at him. Her eyes were still wet from crying. “It’s just... it’s...” She fidgeted with her fingers. “You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to,” he spoke softly. El glanced at the ground and nodded. She didn’t feel like telling him right now anyway. It didn’t take long for Henry to piece it together. He too, had memories of being locked in complete isolation when he was a child at the lab. El wasn’t alone in her misery. He would always understand. Henry gently wiped away her tears and pushed her hair back behind her ear. “It’ll be okay, as long as I’m here I’ll keep you safe.” “Promise?” She met his gaze. Instead of it being unsettling like how most people saw it, his eyes were kind and brought her comfort. He smiled. “I promise.” Deep down, he hoped it was a promise he could keep. El hugged him again, feeling relieved. “I ruined our game,” she said after a while. “Don’t worry about it; it’s not your fault.” El absentmindedly brushed her arm. “I don’t want to continue playing hide and seek...” “That’s okay, what do you want to do instead?” Henry asked. She pondered for a moment before she got an idea. “I want to go outside.” “Good idea. I’ve been crouching here for so long... I think I should stretch my legs, so to speak.” He agreed. El ran towards the back door faster than Henry could stand up and walk over. “Aren’t you going to wait for me?” He lightly joked. She smiled sheepishly and stood by the door. Henry turned the doorknob, and they went outside.
---
One of El’s favorite things about freedom from the lab was nature. She loved flowers and grass and how the leaves could change color based on the season. She loved all the different kinds of weather. The sound of a light shower of rain as well as feeling the warmth of a bright day. Not forgetting to mention the things that lived in nature, all sorts of animals and creatures. She’d already befriended plenty of lizards and birds and even an opossum; all from a safe distance. El loved crouching in the soft green grass and peering at different bugs and critters. Of course, Henry had supported that. While spiders weren’t El’s favorite creatures like they were for him, they still liked to bond over similar animals. El liked moths and ladybugs.
---
She stood where the sun shone the brightest and closed her eyes, tilting her head up towards the sky. El smiled as she felt the warm rays of light on her skin. The sun landed on her fingertips as she slowly held out her arms. Back at the lab, she’d known about the sun from the few picture books and illustrations they had and often tried to imagine what it was like. Everything she’d originally imagined had paled in comparison. She didn’t think she’d ever get used to the real thing. Henry stood and smiled as he watched El sunbathe. Seeing the genuine joy on her face reminded him how freeing them had been worth it. He walked through the backyard, stopping when he found a few of the wildflowers growing. They were weeds, but El had preferred to call them flowers. Getting an idea, Henry picked one and inspected it, recognizing its brightly colored yellow bloom as one of a dandelion. El often nicknamed them “little suns” He walked over to where El was standing and placed it in her hair. “What flower did you put in my hair?” She asked, keeping her eyes closed. “A dandelion, one of your favorites,” he responded. “Or a little sun, as you refer to them.” “You remembered.” She smiled. “Of course, why wouldn’t I?” She shrugged. Henry was always great at remembering things that mattered to her, so she didn’t know why she had acted surprised. El gasped as she got an idea. “Wait right here,” she told him. Henry listened and stood as El wandered off. She came back with a dandelion too, twirling it between her fingers. The girl stood on her tiptoes next to him. “Lean down so I can put this in your hair,” she said, struggling to reach. Henry did as he was told and let her put the flower behind his ear. “How do I look?” He stood tall again. “Perfect. Now we match,” El said. “Little suns...” She murmured. “You’re the little sun.” Henry smiled. El smiled back and simply hugged him, resting her head against his chest. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome, dear.” Henry hugged her back.

Number Four
Tumblr media
"Hey. Hey." One tried to get Four's attention as they walked together down the hall; eventually taking her arm and steering her aside into a private alcove. Four moodily shrugged him off. "You did good. I mean it."
Four huffed, crossing her arms.
"Come on now, don't get caught up in your feelings. It's passed."
"It didn't work, why wasn't it working?" Four exploded.
He rubbed her shoulders, bending to try and meet her reluctant gaze. "It's the panic. You need to keep a clear head. You must not panic. The panic stops the power."
"The panic... stops the power." Four repeated slowly.
"Exactly." His intense blue eyes held her grey ones. "Look. Sometimes... it helps, when you feel your control slipping, to really just... focus on one strong memory. Something that makes you sad, but also angry. Do you maybe have anything like that?"

So I had yet a OTHER Peter/001 dream but it was some odd what if El never opened the portal with him but it was someone else and Peter never killed the kids but still was doing questionable things but trying to find a other way out?(No killing kids!)
Warning;sexually suggestive at the end
The first part of the dream,it was just me venting about my problems,situation and how i’m slowly losing it and felt shitty and horrible overall experiencing a bad day and Eddie being the way he is was there all smiley with a lot positive energy dragging and taking my depressed self to my favorite fast food chain and making me forget it in the first place telling me”Hey woman,it’s all gonna be fine!You got this plus I look up to you!”then he gave me THAT hug awkwardly we stared into each other’s eyes too long then Bang!the door slammed wide open as Will(mostly Will!) came rushing in and Nancy was behind him a bit out of breathe as they ran?in telling us they found it wasn’t El that opened the portal this whole time but some other human that wasn’t even superhuman like her and she was way more powerful than Elven AND One as Nancy yanked Eddie away from me and Will gave me a up and down suspicious glare probably thinking I had something to deal with it,didn’t want to explain everything to me and left me there then Boom!i turn my head around quickly seeing a huge red portal open and to the floor besides me I see Peter shaking,writhing and curled in fear and barely breathing,coughing and whimpering then turn looking at the huge red portal that he was thrown out of already knowing it was the person Will and Nancy mentioned earlier and as I slowly try to step closer and reach out to help Peter,the mysterious little girl comes out from the portal carrying this heavy aura and otherworldly power like no other and looking down harshly with a glare at Peter telling him to beg for his pathetic life and he desperately gets on his knees in front of the little girl wailing and crying to please spare him but I’m presuming he did something enough to wrong and hurt her so badly cause she didn’t hear or listen to his pleas and didn’t have any mercy or remorse with him then she closed her eyes as she slowly started tearing his whole self and core of a”human”he is from the inside out as I saw him screaming out in pain,agony and fear and also saw Venca slowly seeping into him and transforming his human body in front of me as I stood there in frozen in fear everything seemed to be going in slow motion as it was happening not realizing I put her under a cursed spell and was undoing she was doing to him and slowly got Venca off and out of his human body and stitched him back whole and slowly grabbed his limped weakened self gently putting his arms around my shoulders and we went through a other portal I made on spot then vanished then he finally woke up from the bed groggily but his blue beautiful eyes widen seeing me as he told me he had seen me way before and got his flashbacks on us meeting and presumably we were playing and he was on the ground looking up at me with his true wide happy smile and was so so happy seeing me?(Like Jamie’s real smile!like aw lol)and said it was like destiny we even met but i never recalled ever seeing him in my life but he did admit it felt like love at first sight to him”Thank you for saving my life angel””I didn’t save you just had to get you out of there before something worse would of happen”later laying cozily in bed he talks in his quiet soft voice about his now bright,free and happier future and how he wants kids with me and how I gave him a second at that while looking at me with that soft sweet smile and patting the empty spot on the bed next to him,then gently grabbed my waist and put my short self in his lap asking in shy whisper by my ear if I could be on top of him but asked in sheepish soft tone to go slow and gentle with him and with his smile looking down at me(the gif and the rest was you know history)

Henry Creel headcanons
Ong first ever Tumblr post let's go
Tumblr media
I love him so much, he's such a well written character
also there may be some NSFW, you have been warned!!
🕷️ = regular headcanon(s)
🍼 = fluffy headcanon(s)
️ = x reader headcanon(s)
🍋 = lemon/smut/NSFW headcanon(s)
°~•♪♥♪•~°
🕷️୨{Favorite color is black and purple
🕷️୨{Uses 50s slang sometimes
AU🕷️୨{Would not have tried to legally adopt Eleven/Jane after escaping in fear of someone finding them.
🍋୨{What he lacks in girth, he has in length.
❤️🍋୨{Absolutely loves the sounds you make when he pleases you.
AU❤️🍋୨{Would really rather you be quiet when having sex so that Eleven doesn't hear. He enjoys it when you really struggle to control yourself, it makes him feel like he's doing a good job. Still, he doesn't want to ruin Eleven's innocence.
🕷️୨{He is Eleven's father. Way too many similarities, specifically in their powers.
AU🍼୨{Blows bubbles in the backyard with Eleven sometimes when they're bored. He'll blow lots of bubbles and make them swirl around Eleven while she runs around in them
🍋୨{Rarely ever jacks off. Ever.
🍋୨{Has probably only jacked off, like, four or five times. And this man is 32.
❤️🍋୨{He jacks off more often than he used to now (again, it's still rarely ever), now that he's with you. Sometimes the silly or crazy things you do just won't get out of his head.
❤️୨{He likes scaring you sometimes and acting like it's not on purpose. He just wants to see your reaction.
🕷️୨{Sometimes he'll draw different types of spiders, not just black widows.
🕷️୨{Likes brown widows too, just not nearly as much as black widows
🕷️୨{If he got to choose a pet when he was younger, he would have chosen a tarantula.
❤️🍋୨{He'll put his hand over your mouth if you're too loud. He doesn't care if you bite him.
🍼୨{Enjoys listening to Dream A Little Dream while laying in bed some nights. He also will listen to it while eating dinner, occasionally. As concerning as it is, he sometimes reminisces about breaking free that one night back in 1959.
🍋୨{The first time he reached a climax, he found it a bit gross. He was well aware of what it was and enjoyed the endorphins, but he still found the sperm gross to an extent.
❤️🍋୨{He is very, very gentle with you. He is not rough unless you want it rough, even then it's still not that rough. He doesn't want to hurt you.
🕷️୨{Is manipulative to everyone, some people more than other. Barely any with Eleven, but it's still there.
❤️୨{(when you first escaped from the lab) Would love to take you out to dinner, but, it is too risky. He doesn't want to get caught/captured.
❤️୨{Was a bit awkward at first, but is an amazing kisser.
❤️🍋୨{The first time you slipped your tongue in his mouth, he very clearly gagged. He was not expecting that in the slightest. He never even heard of such a thing. After you explained it to him, he still found it very weird and gross, but kept trying it occasionally to see if he'd end up liking it (he did to an extent).
AU❤️🕷️୨{You, Henry, and Eleven all live together in the Creel's house. At first, you guys did nothing to the outside of the house in fear of someone noticing. But, after a while, you took down some of the wood that was barricading the windows outside. You still have the curtains closed 90% of the time, especially at night. The inside of the house, however, was fixed up much quicker. It looks like a normal home on the inside now.
❤️🍋୨{You and Henry made out once, and whenever he's in the mood for another, he'll push the memory to the front of your mind to attempt to get you on the same page.
❤️୨{Gentle kisser, but you can tell when he's needy (rarely ever) (it's something like this (minus the blindfold of course))
Tumblr media
AU🍼୨{Reads Alice In Wonderland to Eleven before bed sometimes
Aaaand that's the end! I'll make another, I'm sure, but these are all I can think of as of right now!! I hope y'all enjoy. ❤️✨

Henry Creel ~ Always
Tumblr media
*I DO NOT OWN THIS GIF* *CREDIT TO THE GIF OWNER*
Pairing: Henry Creel x Fem!Reader with powers
Word Count: 4.8k
Warnings: Mentions of abuse.  Mentions of blood.  Mild language.
a/n: This was requested from my Wattpad.  I really enjoyed writing this one, and as you can see, I got a little carried away lol.  You all have to let me know if you want me to make these things shorter because this is like the third story that is over 4k words.  Let me know, y'all because I can reel it in if you want me to.  Anyway, although the mentions of abuse are very minimal, I always have to say my little rant.  If you are dealing with abuse or know someone who is in an abusive situation, please find help.  No one deserves to be treated like that, and no one should have to be in that situation.  I am always available if anyone needs to talk.  My next post will be a Steve Harrington request from my Tumblr, so be ready for that one!  Thank you all for the support.  You have no idea how much it means to me that you all read my stuff.  You all are amazing!!!
§
Your life wasn’t normal. It never has been. When you were only a little girl, your parents offered you up to Dr. Martin Brenner in exchange for a large sum of money. Your parents had known for a long time that you were special. Your powers started out small. You would fall and get a skinned knee, and within seconds it would be healed. But they soon grew to something much bigger when you healed a baby bird that was on its last breath. Your parents didn’t know what to do with you until they saw an advertisement about a place for special children. They promised you that it wouldn’t be for long. That it was for a good cause, and they would see you again. But that was a lie.
When you got to Dr. Brenner’s laboratory, you quickly learned that he didn’t take you to help with the “greater good of the world.” Instead, you were his lab rat. On day one, Dr. Brenner strapped you down to a chair and tattooed the number 000 on your left forearm. He took all your belongings that your parents packed for you and replaced them with a hospital gown and white flats. He completely stripped you of your identity without even a single shred of remorse. Day two was when training started. Dr. Brenner would hook you up to several wires and put a weird contraption on your head. He kept telling you to concentrate and focus on the task at hand, but you could never deliver. This went on for weeks before he started to get angry. Soon his calm demeanor grew to something more sinister. Whenever he took you to train, he would get physical with you, grabbing and shaking you. He would scream at you because you could never do what he wanted. Then when he had enough of your failures, he would toss you against the wall and walk out of the room, leaving your crying and battered body for the orderlies to deal with. Every night you would go back to your room, sit on your bed, and heal your wounds as you cried. You never let Dr. Brenner know that you were special and that you did have powers. You knew that he was a bad man, and you didn’t want him to use you for his experiments.
So, for months it was just you and your daily torment sessions with Dr. Brenner. Then, one day, he walked in with a little boy around the same age as you. The boy was tall for his age and had slicked brown hair. In the beginning, you didn’t interact with him. In the Rainbow Room, you would just sit alone and watch him. You watched the way he carried himself as if he wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. As if being in a lab instead of his home was nothing out of the ordinary. You watched how happy Dr. Brenner was when he realized the boy had powers. He would spend hours training with the boy and would always be pleased when he was finished. You thought that since this boy had arrived, maybe Dr. Brenner would leave you alone. He didn’t need you anymore because there was a new pet to play with. But that wasn’t the case. Instead of leaving you alone, he would push you even harder than before. When you couldn’t do what the boy could do, Dr. Brenner would get even angrier than previously and hit you and throw you around, screaming at you to do better.
One night after a particularly rough training session, you were in your room healing yourself when the white walls of your room melted away. You looked around, and what used to be your plain room was replaced with the most beautiful beach you had ever seen. The ceiling was a bright blue cloudless expanse that seemed to go on for miles. You threw your legs over the edge of your bed, and when they touched the ground, they were welcomed by the warmth of the grainy sand. The sound of waves washing up on the shore took the place of the quiet hum of the air vent. You moved toward the water and bent down, dipping your fingertips in the cold liquid. You thought you were going crazy. Only moments ago, you were sitting in the tiny room you were assigned when you first arrived. But you didn’t care how you got to the beach. You never wanted to leave. A small smile spread across your lips as you shut your eyes and took in a long inhale, allowing the salty sea water to fill your lungs. When you exhaled, you opened your eyes and realized you weren’t alone. Just off to your left was the boy, and you froze. He just stared at you for a beat before finally speaking.
“I see the way he treats you,” he said as he began walking toward you.
For someone so young, he carried himself with so much confidence.
“Did you do this?” You asked when he finally reached you.
He nodded, and you let out a little sigh. You knew that he could move things with his mind, but you didn’t know that he could also conjure up images in someone else’s mind.
“Why?”
“Because,” he began, toeing at the sand, “you deserve to be happy.”
Your heart jumped in your chest as you stared into his blue eyes. You could feel your hands getting clammy as your nerves started to get the better of you. But the boy wasn’t fazed.
“I’m Henry,” he said, holding his hand out.
You looked at his outreached palm before taking it in yours and shaking it.
“I’m Y/N.”
“Why do you let him treat you like that?” He asked, releasing your hand.
You shrugged and gave a dry laugh.
“I don’t really have a say in how he treats me.”
Although you had resigned to your fate, it was still upsetting when you thought about it. But Henry didn’t seem as upset. Instead, his stare was hard, and his fists were balled at his sides.
“I can stop your pain, Y/N.”
Henry said the statement like it was fact, and you were taken aback just slightly at how matter of fact he sounded. But before you could say anything about it, Dr. Brenner’s voice echoed off the water like he was galaxies away. Both you and Henry turned toward the sound before Henry turned back to you and took your hands in his. His deep blue eyes stared into yours, and he said, “It’s you and me, Y/N. Always. Remember that, okay?”
He didn’t give you a chance to retort before he ran off, causing the beach to melt back into your room. That was the day you and Henry became friends. It was also the day you realized you would do anything to be around him. You liked the way your heart leaped in your chest when he was near. You liked the way Henry somehow made you laugh after Dr. Brenner’s hands made you feel anything but happy. So, you were more than excited when Henry made it a habit to sneak into your room late at night. And this habit carried into your teenage years.
Henry would visit you and use his powers to take you somewhere new every night. One time he conjured up the Eiffel Tower. Another night it was Rome, then the Taj Mahal. He took you everywhere he could remember from his World Almanac. It was during those nightly visits when all his walls were down, and it was just the two of you, that your feelings for him grew. You never wanted your middle-of-the-night rendezvous to end and wanted to be around him all the time. It didn’t take long for you to realize that you were absolutely in love with that boy and would do anything for him. On the day Dr. Brenner implanted Soteria into Henry’s neck, he rushed to your room in tears. It was the first time you ever saw him truly broken. He fell into your arms and sobbed for what felt like hours.
“What happened?” You had asked.
Henry pulled back from your chest and looked at you, hopeless.
“Dr. Brenner took away my most important power.”
“Which one?”
His bottom lip quivered, and a small whimper fell from his lips.
“The one that makes you happy.”
At that moment, you didn’t understand what he was talking about. But you realized what he meant when he stopped creating images during his nightly visits. But his ineptitude in using his powers didn’t stop you from loving him, because it wasn’t his ability to conjure up the seven wonders of the world that made you happy. It was him.
As the years went by, more children with telekinetic powers joined you and Henry at the lab. You and Henry got older, and soon Dr. Brenner stopped training with the two of you, making you two orderlies instead. Even as adults, there was still no way to escape Dr. Brenner. So, you found your purpose in protecting the children he experimented on, healing them whenever he pushed them too hard.
You ran your hands over the all-white uniform Dr. Brenner issued all his orderlies when your door opened, and Henry slid inside. He walked over to your bed, plopping down like it was his. You let out a little laugh as you looked at him through the mirror mounted on your wall.
“What? You don’t knock anymore?”
He folded his arms behind his head.
“Not when I’m not supposed to be here.”
You shook your head and turned around, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Then why are you sitting on my bed if you’re not supposed to be here?”
“Because,” he said, giving you a playful grin, “I had to see you.”
You took slow steps toward him, taking in all of his features as he lay on your bed.
“You couldn’t wait until tonight?” You asked when you finally made it to the side of your bed.
He just shook his head and said, “Nope,” popping the “P” sound.
You chuckled as you moved across the room to gather the things you’d need for the day. Henry sat up and leaned his elbows on his knees.
“Where does Brenner have you working today?”
The question came out with venom and malice, and you didn’t even have to look at him to know he was rolling his eyes. You ignored it, turned to him, held up a hairnet, and scrunched your nose.
“Kitchen duty.”
Henry stood with a devilish grin that he only got when he was up to no good.
“Why don’t you come with me instead?” He asked and raised his eyebrows. “I’ll be with the kids in the Rainbow Room.”
Your shoulders slumped, and you let out a sigh.
“Henry, I can’t. We both know what Brenner will do if he catches me somewhere I’m not supposed to be.”
Henry rolled his eyes again at the mention of Dr. Brenner.
“Come on,” he said, closing the gap between the two of you and wrapping his arms around your waist. “Brenner’s schedule is like clockwork. I’ll make sure you’re in the kitchen before he even walks into the Rainbow Room.”
With Henry so close, your stomach did about fifteen somersaults. His hands caressed your lower back a little, and he gave you his sweetest smile. It wasn’t out of the ordinary for him to be so close, but it still made your heart nearly stop whenever it happened. You looked at him and his brows raised again before you finally heaved a huge sigh and said, “Fine.”
Henry’s smile grew even wider as he released you from his hold and led you to the Rainbow Room. By the time you entered, the children were already inside playing. Some of the older children were huddled in the corner. They had been there long enough that you could see the warmth in their eyes had disappeared. The younger children, on the other hand, still maintained their childlike wonder. At least for now. When you entered the room, Henry wandered off toward Eleven, a young girl with whom he had been spending an increasing amount of time, and you found Sixteen. He was one of the youngest among the children, but you enjoyed spending time with him the most.
The little boy was excited to see you when you took a seat next to him. He was playing with one of the wooden puzzles. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Henry sitting on the floor next to Eleven at the Plinko game. You turned to look at him only to find his eyes were already on you. A small smile pulled at the corners of your lips, and you looked down. Even the smallest interaction as such sent your heart racing. When you looked back up, you watched as Henry interacted with Eleven. He was so gentle with the children, which was only one of the many things that continued to attract you to him.
“Are you and Mr. Henry in love?” Sixteen asked loudly.
You could see Henry’s back straighten before he turned just enough for you to see a smirk playing on his lips. You turned to Sixteen, who was staring at you, waiting for your answer.
“Uh,” you began, rubbing the back of your neck, “why would you ask that, Sixteen?”
The little boy regained playing with his puzzle as he spoke.
“Because you’re always looking at one another. And he smiles at you a lot.”
You snuck a glance in Henry’s direction and could see the blush that was slowly spreading across his cheeks before fully turning your attention back to the little boy.
“Does he now?”
“Yeah,” Sixteen said brightly, “I see him do it all the time.”
He stopped playing with his puzzle, leaned closer to you, and whispered, “He’s doing it now.”
You turned only to be met with Henry’s crystalline eyes. You knew he could hear your and Sixteen’s conversation by the way he was beaming at you. Butterflies tickled your insides, and you bit your bottom lip as a way to contain the smile that was fighting to spread across your face.
“And what would you think if Mr. Henry and I were in love?”
The little boy shrugged.
“I don’t know. He’s nice, so I like him.”
You peeked over your shoulder at Henry again before saying, “Yeah, I like him too, Sixteen.”
You watched Sixteen put puzzle after puzzle together when suddenly the door swung open. When you looked up, Dr. Brenner was walking into the room. His eyes landed on you immediately, and his lips pulled into a tight line. You turned to Henry, who was looking from his watch to Dr. Brenner, a frown forming on his face. That’s when you realized. Dr. Brenner was early. His schedule wasn’t as concrete as Henry had thought. All the children jumped up and lined up on either side of his looming figure. But you didn’t move from your seat, and Dr. Brenner’s cold stare never left yours.
“Good morning, children.”
“Good morning, Papa,” they all said in unison.
“How are we feeling today?”
“Good, Papa.”
His eyes narrowed at you.
“Good,” he said before finally moving his focus to one of the children. “Twelve, would you mind opening the door? Mr. David will be taking you all to the training room.”
His stare moved back to you, and you sunk a little in your chair.
“I will be joining you all shortly. There is something I have to take care of first.”
The orderly David started walking, and all the children followed until it was only you,
Brenner, and Henry in the Rainbow Room. But Dr. Brenner didn’t seem to notice Henry was still sitting by the Plinko game as he approached you. There was nowhere for you to go. So, you just sat there, frozen in place, until Dr. Brenner’s cold hand grabbed your arm, yanking you to your feet.
“I thought I assigned you to the kitchen,” he said through gritted teeth.
Your eyes were wide, and you could feel your hands starting to tremble as Dr. Brenner’s grip tightened around your arm.
“You did,” you said, voice wobbling just slightly.
Dr. Brenner pulled you closer and growled, “Then why are you in here?”
“I-I,” you began as you tried to look anywhere but his irate stare. But Brenner’s face was so close to yours that he was all you could see. You let out a shaky breath.
“I don’t know.”
Brenner dipped his head, and you were finally able to see Henry. His smile was gone. In its place was a scowl as he stared at Brenner’s hand on your arm. Then Henry disappeared behind Dr. Brenner’s head again.
“You know what happens when you don’t follow the rules, Y/N,” Dr. Brenner hissed.
A small sob fell from your lips as Dr. Brenner started dragging you toward the door.
“No,” you begged, “please, it won’t happen again.”
But your pleas weren’t received by Dr. Brenner. You tried to dig your feet into the ground, but it didn’t stop him. You knew exactly what was going to happen. You had seen it happen to several people in the past. Brenner would stand over you while he had one of his lackeys beat you senseless while the other tased you. You pulled against him, but it was no use. His grip was too tight. But just before you got to the door, Henry stood up, gaining Brenner’s attention.
“It was my idea,” he said.
Brenner’s brow creased, and his hold on your arm loosened.
“What?”
“I told Y/N to come here with me instead of going to the kitchen.”
“Henry,” you begged, and when his eyes flashed to yours, you mouthed, “What are you doing?”
He just stood a little taller, squaring his shoulders, and looked at Brenner.
“I take full responsibility, and I’m ready to face the consequences.”
Brenner’s fingers tightened around your arm for a second before he tossed you to the side. You toppled to the floor, and when you looked up, Brenner was towering over you.
“You got lucky this time,” he said before waving for two of the other orderlies to seize Henry.
Your stomach dropped as you watched the two men each grab one of Henry’s arms and haul him out of the room. Moments after they had exited, another orderly was sent in to escort you back to your room. But, when you got there, you didn’t relax. How could you when you knew that Brenner was practically torturing Henry as a form of sick punishment? The hours felt like years as you waited for Henry to sneak into your room like he did every night. But when he didn’t show up, you decided to take matters into your own hands. You cracked your door open, made sure the hallway was empty, then hurried off toward Henry’s room.
You were familiar with the path to him. It wasn’t the first time you had snuck out before. You padded down several hallways before you finally came upon his room. You opened the door just wide enough for you to slide inside, then shut it. The room was lit only by the tiny illumination from a nightlight plugged into the wall. At first, you weren’t even sure if he was in the room with you, but when your eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, you saw his balled-up figure on his bed. He was curled in the fetal position and not moving. You took a small step forward.
“Henry?”
You waited for him to respond, but the only answer you got was silence. Just when you thought he may not even be breathing, he sniffled, and your heart clenched in your chest at the sound. From where you stood, you couldn’t tell the extent of his injuries, so you cautiously approached Henry’s bed. When you finally got a clear look at him, you gasped. His shirt, which used to be white, was burned in several spots and smeared with blood. In the muted light, you thought you saw his body shaking, and could feel your heart shatter. The once confident man was gone and replaced with someone you couldn’t recognize. Someone who was defeated and frightened. You reached out to touch him but stopped short, afraid that if you even grazed his delicate skin, he would fall apart.
“Henry,” you whispered, his name sounding like thunder in the silence.
You reached out again, and this time you let your fingertips touch his arm. When they made contact, he flinched, causing you to retract. Tears brimmed your eyes as you watched him sit up, wincing with each deliberate movement. When he was fully upright, you got a good look at his face. His beautiful porcelain skin was littered with cuts and bruises that did not belong there. You had to bite back the sadness and anger that was trying to claw its way out of you. Henry leaned against the wall and huffed.
“It’s not as bad as it looks,” he said, his voice hoarse.
But it was as bad as it looked. Henry’s eyes were swollen, and there was dry blood all over his face. He couldn’t even move without being in pain. Your blood was boiling, and although you tried to control yourself, you couldn’t.
“No?” You snapped before pointing at his distressed shirt. “Take off your shirt.”
Henry froze for a second, then shook his head and tried to wave you off.
“Really,” he said, hissing as he readjusted himself, “I’m fine, Y/N.”
You plopped down in front of him and started unbuttoning his shirt.
“I wasn’t asking,” you muttered before undoing the last button and throwing his shirt over his shoulders.
When the thin fabric was removed, you sucked in a short breath, your hand shooting to your mouth. His body was defaced. A blend of colors from red to black to blue decorated his torso. He was covered with marks that looked like they came from a wild beast rather than the hands of men. Just looking at him, you could feel your heart breaking. He was in this condition because of you. Your mouth opened and closed several times before you could finally form words. You peeled your eyes away from his wounded body and shook your head.
“Why did you say that it was your idea earlier? Why did you take the blame?” You looked at his face, your voice gaining strength as anger and guilt built inside you. “I made the decision to go with you. This,” you motioned toward his abdomen, “this should have never happened to you.”
“But it should have happened to you?” Henry questioned, his words sharp.
You looked at him befuddled.
“Yes, Henry.”
He pushed himself off the wall, moving a little closer toward you, and scoffed.
“No. I did what needed to be done.” He dipped his head and ran a hand through his hair. “I wouldn’t have been able to live with myself if Brenner did this to you.”
You let your eyes fall back to his chest. The cuts and gashes stood stark against his pale skin, and you couldn’t stand to see the man you loved in pain any longer.
“Let me heal you,” you stated.
Henry lifted his head to look at you again. In the darkness, his sharp features looked much softer. In that light, he wasn’t a man who had been scorned. No, he was the young boy you fell in love with all over again. He didn’t say anything. Instead, he just held your gaze, so you nodded.
“Let me heal you, Henry.”
His throat bobbled a little before he said, “Okay.”
You reached forward until you were touching his bare skin. Goosebumps pricked his skin at your touch. Your fingertips brushed over his abdomen, tracing every inch of him until you flattened your palm over his heart. You shut your eyes and exhaled slowly. Even through your closed eyelids, you could see your hand glowing a wonderful candescent yellow. The power emitting from you whirled around you and Henry. A wind that wasn’t present before you started healing him picked up. You didn’t have to open your eyes to know that your powers were working on him. One by one, you could feel his wounds healing. Finally, when the last lesion was closed up, you opened your eyes but didn’t remove your hand from Henry’s bare chest. He was staring at you, an unclear emotion dancing in his eyes.
“Thank you,” he whispered.
You bit your bottom lip, then swallowed your feelings down and nodded.
“Of course,” you said, reluctantly pulling your hand back to your lap. “You know I’ll always be here if anything ever happens to you.”
“I know.”
You didn’t look back at Henry. Instead, your eyes were glued to your hands wringing in your lap. You and Henry had spent many nights together, but there was something different about this one. All your feelings started an assault on your brain that you desperately tried to control. But, when you finally looked back at Henry, your defenses fell. His eyes, blue like the rarest sapphires, completely captivated you, and you knew you couldn’t hide anymore. “Henry,” you began but stopped when the fear bubbling in your stomach started to creep up your throat.
He leaned toward you even more than before.
“What’s wrong, Y/N?”
Your lips parted as you stared at him until you had the strength to go on.
“You always say it’s you and me. Ever since you got here, it’s always been you and me. Well, when Brenner took you today, I-I got scared because” you took in a shaky breath, “because I thought he was going to kill you. And judging by the extent of your wounds, he was just shy of doing it.” You started to fidget with Henry’s sheets, needing a way to release the nervous energy that was steadily building inside you.
“But I don’t want to be without you,” you began. “I can’t. I want to get out of here with you. I want to go visit all those places you used to show me when we were younger.”
Your cheeks were wet, and you didn’t know when you started to cry, but you didn’t care. It didn’t matter.
“I want to experience life and freedom,” you said, throwing your arms in the air and heaving a huge sigh. “And I want to do it all with you because I love you, Henry.”
You dropped your head, the tiny droplets on your cheeks dropping onto the bed. Your mind was reeling. You thought you made a mistake until Henry cupped your cheeks and lifted your face. His thumbs wiped away the wet streaks on your cheeks, and his lips pulled into a smile.
“I love you too, Y/N. And I promise I will end your pain here. We will get out of here.”
His words were sincere. His thumb glided over your cheek again.
“It’s you and me, baby. Always.”
You nodded.
“Always.”
Then, Henry pulled your lips onto his with fervor. Your eyes shot open wide for a split second before you melted into the kiss. It was delicate but also frantic. Like it was the first and last time you’d ever be able to feel his lips against yours. It was passionate and untamed. Your fingers tangled in his hair as one of his hands slid to the back of your neck, and the other found your thigh. His fingers dug into your skin, and you knew you’d never be able to get that feeling out of your head. When he finally pulled back, you wanted to grab Henry’s face and reconnect your lips with his. You didn’t need oxygen anymore. All you wanted to do was breathe him in. You looked at Henry’s dilated pupils, and you could tell he wanted nothing more than to do the same thing you wanted. He lay back onto his bed and moved the comforter back, leaving as much space for you as possible. You didn’t even have to think about it as you crawled next to him. His arms curled around you, pulling you into his chest. The warmth of his bare chest on your back emanated throughout your body like you had just drank a fresh cup of hot chocolate. You knew you should have gotten up and gone back to your room. You knew that if Brenner caught the two of you together, it wouldn’t only be Henry who got punished. But you didn’t care. Even though the risk of getting caught was real, you trusted Henry. He would never let anything happen to you. So, instead of leaving, you leaned even closer to Henry and shut your eyes. To hell with Brenner.
