I talked to my sisters about Greek myths and the gods that I follow and myths that I love. My 9 year old sister liked it but she couldn't get past all the incest lol. But my 8 year old sister, Avery absolutely loved hearing about it. I talked to her about all kinds of deities last night and she remembered all of them this morning. Her absolute favorite was Nyx, primordial goddess of night. Her favorite thing was definitely the fact that even Zeus was scared of her. This morning she drew a picture of her and she was really proud of it so I wanted to share it here.

Who is Nyx?

Nyx is a primordial goddess of darkness, and the personification of it. She is the mother of dreams and also of sorrow, and all the things night brings. Peace and darkness, but also fear and shadow.

- Your moon water poured in to the earth or left out for night animals. - Silver, purple, dark blue candles

- Dew

- Dark/black animal images or feathers, fur etc. - Dahlias

Sua prática promove o ganho de resistência,, deslocamento e movimentação dos membros, resistência muscular, agilidade e ritmo."

Ao lermos os escritos de Filóstrato sobre Palaistra podemos ter algumas interpretações modernas sobre a deusa, como no trecho a seguir dá a entender que a deusa seria assexual

Esse outro trecho me faz enxergar Palaistra como uma pessoa Não-Binário ou pelo menos uma mulher desfeminilizada

Aos meus olhos Palaistra seria patrona das pessoas que não se adequam aos padrões de gênero, especialmente pessoas não-binários e mulheres que não performam feminilidade.

Pagãos que se encontram nessas situações poderiam rezar a Palaistra e pedir ajuda e proteção, para enfrentar as dificuldades que ser você mesmo pode trazer, Palaistra daria coragem a aqueles que querem fugir das convenções de gênero, mas tem inseguranças.

Há uma guerra dentro de mim.

A raiva se espalha por minhas células,

I don't really understand why, but one of the munchkins has been very active today and the majority of it has not been positive. But on the way to take out the trash tonight, she asked if we could pick up a little stone that she thought might be citrine and, if it was, she was thinking about giving it to Apollo, who seems to be just watching out at distance currently.

So we got it inside,got it washed off, and the app we have ID'ed it as regular quartz. Since it wasn't citrine she was thinking about giving it to Ares since he's reached out to another alter in the system and Tuesday is the day associated with him. Ultimately, she decided to give it to Lady Sigyn.

A little while later I pulled out my deck for a journal prompt and Little Miss wanted to ask if Sigyn liked her rock and the answer we got was

Which just made her night and honestly was really encouraging to me too.

I have a really hard time interacting with our system Littles, it's an incredibly uncomfortable experience for me to be aware of their presence at all, much more so when they're in the co con. I don't know what it is about that kind of childlike energy, but it's a bit triggering for me.

I knew to expect inner child type work with Loki, but I wasn't expecting him to bring in "backup" as it were. I'm very grateful and touched at the idea. I don't know how to be a mother, but I know that part of healing is going to be reparenting myself via the system Littles. The idea that Sigyn might be hanging around to help me do that brings a lot of comfort because she's been a mother, she's been a mother who's supported a spouse through trauma. My partner within the system is one of our trauma holders. And I don't always know what I'm doing, most of the time I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. But at least I'm not doing it alone. At least I have someone who understands on my side. I'm still learning about how to work with deities and I still feel out of my depth 90% of the time with it, but the idea that they even care and have put forth effort of some kind to show that is very comforting.

Hallo, I’ve been called out to by greek deities for a while (mainly Apollo) and I’ve been meaning to research stuff about witchcraft and paganism but idk where to start. Do you know things I could look up or look into specifically to get started? I’d like to do deity work with Apollo but I’m not well versed in this stuff. 😭😭

Omg I haven't been on this account in so long sorry. Hope I'm not too late I can't see when you sent this but I love the YouTuber "Fel The Blithe" for all things greek paganism, she's amazing and helped so much when I was starting out. I'd say watch and read as much as possible, go to a book store and just browse the witchcraft section. Find a discord or some kind of community to learn and talk to ppl. Honestly just be patient and start small. Do a protection spell or sigils and then work your way up. When reaching out to a deity you don't need anything fancy, even just a quiet prayer or aknowlegment throughout the day is a great start. If you want try picking up a form of divination to talk to the diety( I use tarot but there are soooooooo many options.)
