love is a puzzle | shikanoin heizou x reader smut prompt
a/n: sorry just smut in my head just pure, filthy smut -,- with no plot :3
Tumblr media
“you and me,” he groaned, gripping onto the plush skin of your ass, letting his crescent nail indents mark your skin as he thrusted deep, kissing your cervix and brushing against your g-spot with every burying stroke of his cock.
“we complete each other,” his thrusts were getting harder, your walls could feel the pulsating of his cock, and also his impatience towards the whole thing. his desperation to make you his, only his.
one free hand reaching out to rub your sensitive clit, enticing another lewd moan from your already parted, panting lips. “you know that right sweet thing?” his excitement to hear your reply overpowering his thrust again. one, hard, deep, thrust.
you lost yourself there, screaming out of pure ecstasy, arching your back and squirting on his cock. it was enough to drive him off the edge as well, groaning and filling you up with his warm seed, letting himself be unrealistically aching again, continuing to rid you of every ounce of energy lift in your body. extending your orgasm while mocking you playfully, “how lewd, you squirted from just being thoroughly fucked baby?”
“stop it zo-” your dusted cheeks and panting, tired breaths let your arms shiver as you fell onto the plush mattress of the bed, making your back arched more. heizou was quick to admire the scene of him still buried balls deep inside you, thrusting once more.
“nnngh~” a sensitive whine escaped your lips, he could understand you’ve had enough. letting out a soft chuckle, he kissed the end of your spine.
“so beautiful…”

── REGRETS🎐SHIKANOIN HEIZOU ༉‧₊˚✧ .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SUMMARY . you liked your best friend, you've always wanted to tell him that. but maybe you're too late now.
warning : unrequited love, angst, lowercase intended. might be ooc
a/n: i love writing angst for heizou- it's inspired by an indonesia song i liked! Sampai Jadi Debu by Banda Neira. the last line of this fic is one of the lyrics <33
Tumblr media
"hey, what's with that face?" you almost fell off your chair when your friend, heizou, suddenly comes up to your seat with no warning. you send him a glare jokingly.
"it's nothing. i just felt..left out. that's all." you muttered the last part as you don't want him to worry too much. he sat beside you and hummed as a respond, encouraging you to continue. "i mean..you know."
"..no one wants to talk to me." you answered hesitantly. he sighed as a respond and lean back to his chair. "huh. I guess i'm non-existent then.." he said, you stifle a laugh to yourself as you look at his face.
his pretty, handsome face. he is your first friend in middle school and you guys have been together ever since. even going to the same high school. you've taken a liking to him in your first year of high school, and you still do. but you can't bring yourself to say it. you want to wait for the right moment.
"i know. but, what if we go to different college..or..you know, stop talking suddenly?" you looked down and tried to hold back your tears, thinking about how one day he could've just left you alone.
he breathe out a laugh. "heh, are you kidding me? of course not." he sit straight up and pulled you close to him. really close. "we're going to stay together, obviously." he leans down at you and smiled.
"i will be staying over here with you." he whispered. you smiled warmly to yourself and leans on his shoulder. "yeah..and i'll stay here with you." you muttered to yourself quietly. you feel really calm at this moment, sitting together with the man you love.
whispering things to each other as if it's only the two of you there, everyone is just a mere background character to you. you hoped that you're able to stay like this. With him, forever.
always.
though, i guess there is a reason why people always told you to not get your hopes up. "hey, guess what!" heizou surprised you from behind with a wide smile on his face.
"woah..never seen you this excited before." you let him sit beside you and you put down your phone, "what's up?" heizou pulled something from his pocket and showed it to you. it's a letter.
"i got a love letter." He smirked, waving the letter on your face. you breathe out a laugh as you wondered who would have sent him a love letter. Well, maybe you would. but other than you, who will?
"nah, really?" You took the letter from his hand with a smile on your face, ready to laugh at whatever cringe letter someone just send to your best friend. "yeah. it's from someone i like."
you stopped opening the letter halfway and looked at him with a questioning look. "what..you liked someone?" you asked hesitantly. he nodded at your surprised face, his smile widening.
you froze midway and didn't try opening the letter. there's no way. he actually liked someone? but you didn't know anything about it. aren't best friends supposed to tell the others about stuff like this? does he not consider you a friend anymore? does he have a new someone to talk to now?
"hey what's the matter? stop looking at the letter like that and start opening it!" you snapped back to reality and opened the letter slowly. surely he is just joking with you, right? he said it himself. he will stay with you forever, no?
reading the letter and each word carefully, you almost cried on the spot. but you held back. because you don't want him to think that you are a possessive freak. "wow. i didn't..expect that." he smiled at your respond and snatched the letter back. "congratulations.."
"thanks! i will talk to her about this. wish me luck." he exclaimed as he left the bench both of you are sitting on earlier. as for you, you are still sitting there by yourself. a feeling of getting betrayed, sad, angry, regret. all mixed up into one.
betrayed as a friend, sad as someone who liked him, angry at him for not telling you sooner about the girl he liked, and regret. regret for not confessing sooner. "honestly..why should i get mad at him anyway? It's my fault." you said to yourself.
you leaned your head back on the bench and sighed. 'i'm going to stay together with you'. your tears started to drop slowly, closing your eyes as you try to forget about him. about his laugh. his smile. his voice. and think of him only as a friend.
"yeah..and i'll stay here, by myself." you muttered to yourself quietly as you looked over to the distance, seeing him with another girl.

Derisive 2 | Heizou x Reader
Tumblr media
Where Heizou decided to investigate and uncover Watatsumi Island's secret, and further investigate the mysterious shrine maiden in his own way.
Tumblr media
part 2 of Derisive and one of my birthday fics for him. One year later and ive finally finished it lol. I might make this a series but updates will be sporadic since i still have to draft more outlines for a good plot and progress

“Are you really that wary of me, Miss Shrine Maiden? I have told you, I’m here for a little trip.”
Ignoring his attempt in making a conversation with you, you could only huff as you put a good distance between him.
“I have my own intuition whether I trust you or not, Detective Heizou. Sure, you may be the renowned greatest detective in Inazuma but that doesn’t mean we’d let you do as you please.”
Cold fierce eyes, squared-up shoulders, gritted teeth—
“Intuition you say?”
He smirked, looking over his shoulder to peer at your frowning face. Without a doubt, you’re an aggressive woman. It’s a shame you always seem so grumpy and your temple would grow out wrinkles the often you do that.
Quite ironic he detests prejudice yet he’s doing it now. For a young shrine maiden such as yourself, you’re quite the character.
At his silence, you raised a brow at the young man before you in bafflement as he softly chuckled to himself. Whatever he was thinking, you hoped he wasn’t plotting against the island or planning to poke his nose around to where it shouldn’t be. Hearing rumors of him, the only way to silence him is through force— even if he’s the Shogunate’s loyal dog.
The man stopped in his tracks— almost having you bump into him if not for your quick reflex to notice his figure pausing. You eyed him intuitively whilst he stared at the scenery of Watatsumi Island.
Heizou’s breath slowed down. All pastel hues of this island will surely attract tourists to visit this side of Inazuma since the Sakoku Decree has ended. A small smile lifted up on his face before he turned his gaze back to you.
“Say, Miss Shrine Maiden—“
“[Name]. I have a name, Mister Detective.”
“Miss [Name]," He corrected. "Are there any cases arising here? Perhaps cases of a thief who stole a precious item, or mysteries left unsolved here such as the long lost treasure left by the Watatsumi Omikami?”
“There are no cases here and no treasures as well. If you want to go adventuring you’d be better off to go back to Narukami Island and take some commissions provided by the Adventurer’s Guild.”
Your eyes flashed open upon the realization of your words. That’s it! Giving him a case would have him preoccupied and absorbed. Once he’s gone, then the concern is finally out of the way. And you can finish discussing your unfinished business with General Gorou…
“Ah, actually, I do have a case for you.”
Heizou had his attention on you. His eyes glimmered in interest as he folded his arms over to his chest.
“Oh? Do enlighten me, please.”
“I have asked a friend of mine, who’s a traveler from afar, to assist us in finding the Heart of Watatsumi. Perhaps you’d be interested in taking this commission?”
Once his demeanor changed, you knew you caught his attention with your interesting offer. This is the chance he’d stop nosing around, and he wouldn’t bother anyone because after all, the traveler has already—
“Miss [Name], I’m disappointed you have the audacity to lie right in front of a detective. But I commend you for having the courage to do so.”
He smiled— or rather, sneered— at your petty attempt in fooling Inazuma’s greatest detective.
Staring back at him, you drove the corner of your lips to turn up and hid your clenched fists underneath your sleeves. Very cunning, without a doubt, but who said you couldn’t battle him through wits?
However, before the flames arose, a bundle of blonde locks of a certain traveler came into view together with her companion. Disappointing with the turn of events that Lumine unintentionally intervened, yet a blessing that she put an end to the silent fume between the detective and a shrine maiden lest it could lead to another war.
It would bring shame to you as the loyal servant of Lady Sangonomiya if that were to happen after all the efforts of bringing down the Sakoku Decree and the Vision Hunt Decree.
“Heya, [Name]! And hello… um…" Paimon looked over to the man next to you and leaned close to her partner to whisper. "Traveler, do you know who this guy is?”
Paimon asked the latter to her partner, yet both you and Heizou heard it clearly. After all, Paimon is never the type to be discreet and she’s in fact the opposite of considerate. Being conscionable wasn’t necessarily a bad thing yet when you partner it up with the floating creature, it’s much worse than bad.
Lumine berated Paimon with gritted teeth and apologized to you and Heizou on behalf of her.
“Oh! You must be the esteemed traveler!” The detective’s eyes glimmered in excitement as he leaned closer to the said female. “I’ve heard a lot of stories about you. From fighting dragons to saving the nation from a disastrous attack from a god. To see you this close in person, it feels like I am now taking the role of the main character in your story.”
His fingers were settled on his chin as he examined her carefully from top to bottom.
“Uhm…”
Raising her hands to block him from invading another inch of her space, she took a step backward to put a distance between them, yet the universe was conspiring against her as her heels slipped at the unevenness of the surface causing her to lose balance.
She searched for an object to grab onto— anything that her eyes and hands could catch on— and yet she did not do so as she feared you’d be dragged along if she attempted to. Preparing for the worse, she braced herself for the harsh collision with the ground and hoped she wouldn’t fracture any of her bones.
But the concussion has never arrived, for a tenacious pair of arms wrapped around her slim waist and caught her on time before she meets her demise. To say that you’re the one who caught her was no surprise, yet her heart hammered and rang loudly in her ears at how close your face was to hers.
“Are you alright?”
You asked lightly, like the whispers of the wind lulling in the gentle breeze here on Watatsumi Island. Lumine’s shoulders squared up, her face heating up abruptly as she nodded vigorously and held on to your clothes for dear life.
Is it just her or does the lighting behind you make you even more charming than ever? The way you gazed at her with your deep-hued eyes, eyelids lowered as your hand gripped onto her waist firmly, almost slipping out a surprised squeak out of her lips when your fingers grazed against her bare back.
She averted her gaze from you, the tips of her ears yet to cease their steaming warmth from how cool and handsome you looked when you saved her.
“Lumine?”
“Oh! Uh, yeah… thanks, [Name].”
The traveler fumbled as she struggled to stand up straight. She can’t help but think you smelled nice—
No! Now’s not the time for that!!
Meanwhile, Heizou whistled in amusement at the intriguing turn of events. Just from Lumine’s reaction alone, he can already deduce there’s something going on between you two.
Would he use this chance to investigate further? Nah, as much as interesting it was, he wasn’t the love angel, and being a wingman isn’t his kind of field or specialization. He can simply observe from afar rather than confront.
And even if he did ask Lumine, she’d only deny it.
Man alive…
Despite how she finally recovered from her clumsiness and shock, she still swayed albeit unnoticeably whilst Paimon cooled her off with her scarf.
“Wow, you’re all red right now. Do you have a fever?”
Paimon inquired as she flew over to her partner and peeked underneath her burning visage. In turn, Lumine turned her away and forced out a chuckle— a really poor and discernible attempt to brush things off. Even a mere child can connect the dots altogether.
“I-I’m fine— anyways, enough about me,”
Clearing her throat, she turned her head to you, golden eyes displaying a serious demeanor.
“I’m here for a commission to bring Shikanoin Heizou back to the Tenryou Commission.”
A loud click resonated in your head, the spark of plugs roaring into the purr of anticipation when her little partner held out a letter over to you with the eligible and elegant handwriting of the sender.
As your eyes scanned over the significant details of this so-called “missing person”, you can’t help but laugh and jutted your thumb in Heizou’s direction.
“Well, aren’t you lucky? This man right here is the one you’re looking for. Now go on and have safe travels going back to Narukami Island.”
“Woah now hold on there, Miss [Name],”
Heizou butted in and curled his lips. His right hand hovered over to the commission letter you’re holding and lowered it down. His smile gradually became wider and condescending which irked you the most. At this point, you’re like a walking bomb, ready to explode once the time runs out.
“Who told you I was going with the traveler? For all I care, the Police Station can handle themselves when Madam Kujou is there to supervise them.”
Oh how much you wanna wipe off that smug smirk etched on his face.
“And besides, I can send a letter and have Traveler hand it to them. Honestly, I’m really flattered they missed me.”
Heizou drew his shoulders displaying his satirical indifference to the situation. It can’t be helped then… It’s better to have someone watch over him if he insists on staying on this island.
“Fine,”
Heizou didn’t miss the sharp tone in your voice. He can tell you were holding yourself from lashing out at him. Though everything he does is mundane activities and nothing suspicious of sorts, it’s like passing by the lion’s cage and roaring at him.
“Lumine, pardon for this sudden request but please keep an eye on Detective Heizou. I need to get going and assist the shrine maidens.”
Giving them a short and brief bow, you bid your last farewell. “I’ll be taking my leave. If you need any assistance you can always approach General Gorou or any of the Watatsumi soldiers.”
With that, you waved your hand in goodbye to the three and left off as you withdrew from your misadventures with the detective.
“Heizou, if you don’t mind me asking…” Lumine called out to him. “I’d like to know what you’re doing here.”
The detective chuckled as he rested his elbow over his arm, deep in his thoughts. “Well, let me think for a moment… It all started a long time ago, during the war…”
Heizou began to explain his purpose for being sent here. The former Tenryou Commissioner, Kujou Takayuki, ordered him to investigate the military capabilities of Sanganomiya. However, the detective wasn’t interested in abiding by his orders and decided to treat his free trip on this island as a vacation.
“As for the mission, I thought I’d just come up with some random excuses or whatever when I reported back hence why I proposed sending a letter to the commission instead of having me go back there.”
Heizou cheekily smiled and chuckled after looking at Lumine’s perplexed state. She can already sense mischief in him and begins to understand why some folks of Inazuma are irked by him— even the shrine maiden of this island was affected by it…
Poor, [Name]…
She internally prayed for you. No wonder why you seemed so aggravated when she came onto the scene.
“So will you be sending a letter then?” Lumine inquired though the detective clicked his tongue at her and wagged his finger. Heizou’s green eyes glinted under the sunlight, his smirk widening— an announcement of sorts that was yet to unveil its magic to his audience— and it was hard to miss that he had something up on his sleeves.
“Nope, but rather, I would like to invite you to come join me.”
“Join you…?” Lumine’s suspicion grew further. It’s best to be cautious and wary around him. And knowing he’s pretty cunning and smart that he can already tell their purpose of being here based on their appearance and demeanor that gave it away, who knows if Shikanoin Heizou is a trustworthy detective as they say.
But what I’m thinking is contradicting… I heard he’s solved hard cases to help those people…
Whatever plan or motive he has, she has to make sure it’s not something dangerous or that would affect everyone here…
Eyeing him in suspicion and doubt only caused him to laugh, not even worrying the slightest bit that in front of him was the famed traveler who defeated a god and saved a nation. For all he knows, he could easily be pinned to the ground by her.
But Heizou knows.
His intuition is telling him that she was the key to solving the mystery of this island.
Walking up to her, he leaned close to her ear and whispered. The words ingressing through her ears had her shuddering as a surge of turmoil coursed through her veins.
“The survey status of Great Omikami’s resting place is complete and no sight of Fatui has been detected.”
“The Mouun shrine is still in development and it’s slowly rebuilding to its former glory.”
“The sango pearls are kept in the warehouse. Do not worry, we stored all the high-quality ones in preparation for the shipping tomorrow.”
“The villagers in Bourou Village are having a shortage of goods. We need to transport plentiful of produce as soon as possible…”
The last statement was inevitable given the fact how dense and barren the soils are… You heaved a heavy sigh and took a mental note of the samurais’ and shrine maidens’ reports.
Hopefully, everything goes as planned…
“Thanks. Please report this as well to General Gorou.”
This is bad. Really really bad.
Dismissing all of the samurais, you have a bad feeling something bad might happen. You know for sure the major problem here is the lack of medicines and produce. Not only that, you have to keep the Fatui away from stepping on this land after the Delusion incident that affected all the soldiers who were deceived.
And that detective…
Shikanoin Heizou is one of the major disturbances you need to handle lest he discovers Watatsumi’s affairs… Hopefully, he doesn’t cross paths with General Gorou and have the traveler bring him back to Narukami Island.
“W-wh-whoa, hold it right there! Are you saying Gorou’s a thief? As in, he took something valuable?!”
The little fairy hollered. Disbelief and perplexity were written all over her small round face as her brows curled up and her nose scrunched after Heizou’s proclamation.
“It’s not simple, I can’t fully explain it… It’s just my intuition.”
Heizou sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. He then eyed Lumine who was beginning to be slightly uneasy.
“This certainly doesn’t line up with the Gorou I know…” She muttered under her breath. If anything, Gorou is one of the trusted fellows she knows and for anemo-user to say something absurd about him is beyond logic. There’s no evidence of it nor good reasoning as to why Gorou would do such a thing.
“Sure, I trust your judgment. But if that’s still not enough to convince you then what about Miss [Name], the shrine maiden I was with before?”
Lumine felt herself snapping. She silently clenched her fist, her nails digging deep into her palm as she harshly glared at the young detective before her. Hearing your name spew out of his lips and claim you as a thief is even far worse than pointing out Gorou’s suspiciousness— at least by her standards.
She puts you above anyone else she has met in her travels in this vast world.
“What makes you say that?” She asked through gritted teeth and Heizou did not miss the sharpness in her tone, yet he merely brushed off her change of behavior.
“Given from her strength alone, she’s most likely trained in combat. I wouldn’t even be surprised if she’s part of the army guising as a shrine maiden to watch out for suspicious activities happening around here.”
That’s it. Lumine had enough of Heizou’s “intuitive” remarks.
“No, you’re overthinking this,” She grabbed his wrist harshly then pulled him away from the shrine. “I’m going to take you back to Ritou no matter what and investigate this Godot character.”
But Heizou broke free from her brutal grip and stayed put in his place.
Well, this is getting interesting.
“Getting too suspicious, am I?” He rubbed his wrist which was reddening, but it didn’t hurt as much as he expected. He stared at Lumine with the same vigor she was radiating before sighing. It was a big disappointment the traveler wasn’t on the same page as him for taking this adventure and solving the mystery.
“In which case, I’ll stay here and get back to you once I figure out the secret of this place.” Heizou turned his heels and waved them goodbye, taking his leave. However, Lumine rushed into view before him, using herself to stall him and prevent the detective from going anywhere.
“Fine. I’ll go with you on your investigation. But on one condition,”
Lumine, who was increasingly provoked by his previous comments, scorned then turned up her nose, declaring something remarkable— something Shikanoin Heizou himself was awaiting for this specific event to occur.
“If we don’t find any of this secret you keep talking about, you take back what you said about Gorou and [Name] and never interact with them ever again. And if you were right about [Name] and Gorou who are involved in this so-called “theft”, then I won’t get in the way of all of your investigations no matter how suspicious it may be.”
Heizou’s hunch was right. A smirk was itching on his face. One that makes this day more interesting for him than spending his time at the boring Police Station flipping through all mundane and typical missing items cases.
His front was now directly facing the traveler and he rested his hand atop of his chin.
“May I add on that offer then? If I crack the case, then tell me all you know about [Name]. Of course, an equivalent exchange must be done and it would be unfair if I get all the things I want, no?”
Heizou walked towards her and patted her shoulder. Leaning in close to her ear, he then whispered. “Think this thoroughly on what you would add to this proposition you started yourself. I’m even willing to offer myself up to assist you in any way I can, that is if you win, Traveler.”
After Lumine and Paimon had a thorough discussion on what to do, they decided to investigate Borou Village late at night and follow Todoroki, the man responsible for the caravans. It’s the best time to trail after them yet a risky job because of how open the village is.
Although, it would’ve been better if the little fairy had kept her mouth shut. Heizou had his hand over Paimon’s mouth to silence lest Todoroki and Tokuda could catch sight of them.
“Keep quiet! We don’t want to be caught when we’re this close to finding out the truth!”
Heizou lightly scolded her as Lumine looked over to her shoulder and took a peek over the fence if the coast was clear. Signaling to the detective, both moved swiftly towards the small house and kept a good distance where they could still eavesdrop on their conversation and note down important details.
Just as Lumine was about to steal a peek at them again, the familiar sight of her dearest shrine maiden was walking to where the two men were. Your hair was tied into a ponytail that swayed as you strolled along the trail. And the big crates you were carrying were hard for her to miss.
Her heart dropped. She knew right away where she was going.
“[Name]?!” she whispered to herself in dismay.
Paimon was startled by Lumine's reaction and turned back to look at her with wide eyes. But thankfully, Heizou was able to suppress her voice and keep her down before she could act recklessly and ruin their cover.
“I guess that’s all of them?” They heard your voice behind the small hut, the sound of a crate’s woods crackling on one another can be heard as well. Heizou deduced you must have stacked them up.
“Amazing as ever, Todoroki! Your intel was spot on!” One of the Watatsumi soldiers exclaimed with a laugh. “We wouldn’t have done this without the assistance of [Name].”
The soldier slapped his hand over your shoulder, earning a groan from you before taking his hand off of you. “Everyone did their part as well. Don’t give all the credit to me.” You remarked.
Todoroki circled the area, checking for any damages to the supplies. “Everything seems in order and the price of the grain in the village has decreased thanks to you.” He hummed in appraisal.
“It’s great you’ve brought medicine for us, Todoroki.” The other Watatsumi soldier said before continuing, “I would have never thought the injuries we sustained in the war would have a lingering effect on our bodies…”
“Don’t push yourself you two,” Patting both of their shoulders, you gave them a lighthearted smile. “The island still needs you and don’t you dare die on me when you still owe me for that drink I made you.”
Both of the soldiers chuckled at your joke and thanked you profusely. You just let it slide and continued, "Oh! I almost forgot!" You turned around to the two men, "The wagons are prepared!”
“Before that, what’s the state of the village's inventory?” Todoroki questioned. The voices faded out from Lumine’s ear, still in disbelief you were part of this suspicious activity. You’re not that kind of person, right? That’s not the [Name] she knows so well!
In the background, you and the soldiers walk away from the scene, giving the opportunity to Heizou and his companions to further investigate the area and in this case they’re dragged with.
“The soldiers seized the Nobushi’s stolen goods?!” The little fairy’s comment made it even more difficult for the traveler.
“And they never intend to return it to the International Trade Association…” Lumine added. Her heart feels heavy and her stomach churning from discovery. Bringing her palm to her lips, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. With everything that’s going on here, it might take some time for her to digest this information.
Heizou eyed her from the sidelines, observing her pale features and change in behavior. He can’t blame her. If he were in her shoes, he’d lose his trust in his friend too. But as a detective, you shouldn’t always trust what’s in front of you and only trust yourself.
Heizou patted Lumine’s shoulder, snapping her out of her train of thought. “Todoroki said he’ll get instructions from Gorou tomorrow. There’s something else behind this.” His touch was almost reassuring her that he’d crack the case and reveal the hidden truth. Lumine can’t help but scoff coldly to herself. It’s ironic, really, that the detective was showing her sympathy despite their recent negotiation about [Name] and Gorou.
But despite all these, she can sense no malice or mockery from his touch. Maybe he has a good heart after all, and yet…
No, I have to focus on this. Snap out this, Lumine! I still know [Name] is a good person! Maybe she has a good reason behind all these things…
Investigating through those boxes it’s mostly herbs and flowers such as qingxin flowers and glazed lilies… And according to Heizou’s deduction, it should be for medicinal purposes. From the corner of Lumine’s eye, she saw a piece of paper sticking out from the crate and faded written letters of “Foreign Trade Association”.
Perhaps a bill of sorts…
“If these crates were to be imported from Ritou, the price would be jaw-dropping,” Heizou remarked.
[Name]’s a good person!
“On top of that, these items seem to lack a tax clearance certificate, meaning they were most likely smuggled.”
That’s right! It’s all those thieves' fault. It had nothing to do with them.
“Did you find anything else, Traveler?” Lumine jumped and shook her head.
“Oh, ugh, unfortunately nothing…” Heizou squinted his eyes at her and she was practically sweating bullets when he never took his eyes off of her. She coughed to divert his attention to somewhere else.
The detective can only sigh and leave her be to give her some space. Across his vision, two figures were coming their way. Oh, speak of the devil. The two soldiers who were with you are now here. Heizou smirked behind his hand, closely observing and listening to their conversation. Now’s the good time to dig for information from them to confirm his suspicions.
The goods are prepared and ready to set off. The last thing to do is to wait for the ship to arrive. You sighed and wiped off the sweat rolling down your face with the sleeve of your kimono.
Please let everything go well.
The sun is bright, the corals are more colorful than ever, and Todoroki was with you at the Sangonomiya Shrine. You smiled and the man chuckled, taking in the breathtaking scenery, hoping for a peaceful voyage ahead.
“Today’s a good morning isn’t it?” You began and Todoroki could see the flowers blooming around you because of your positive state.
“Indeed a good morning.”
Huh, that’s weird. Todoroki’s voice seemed so different. “Todoroki did you drink something? Your voice seems younger.” You chuckled and the man looked a bit perplexed but then burst into laughter.
“How odd. I thought I heard someone else when it’s just the two of us here.” He laughed along with you, finding the situation quite amusing.
“Weird isn’t it? Because there’s actually someone here with you, Miss [Name].”
Your eyes were now wide open. The brightness in them had faded and transformed into one of darkness and annoyance. Though the smile on your face remained, Todoroki saw the corner of your lips twitch and the broom in your hand almost snapped into two pieces.
“Oh my. I take back what I said. This is a rather horrible morning.” The man’s laughter slowly died down as he noticed the change in your behavior and the appearance of a new guest— well, three guests to be exact— who was behind you.
The playful atmosphere vanished in mere seconds and he can sense your annoyance. Todoroki cleared his throat nervously and cautiously observed the unfamiliar red-headed man who had a striking smirk donning his youthful face.
“Ahem… uh, who are you?” The old man asked, his brows knitted together.
“Hello, Todoroki and Miss [Name]. I'm Shikanoin Heizou, special detective of the Tenryou Commission.” The detective introduced himself and he never missed the way you glared at him. He simply smiled at you and his eyes glowed as he crossed his arms over his shoulder, preparing the confrontation to finally seek the answers he’s been looking for.
“I believe you two have been manipulating large-scale illegal trades for some time now. Mind if we talk about that for a bit?” He didn’t hesitate to ask. It was now or never when the two main culprits were here before his eyes.
Lumine clenched the hem of her skirt. She’s helpless and unable to do anything to stand up for you. Even though things have already been discussed yesterday to clear things up, she still believes in you no matter what.
Todoroki was about to storm off but you managed to stop him. The baffled and shocked reaction was clear and expressive and things may get out of hand if he raged and shouted to the detective. “I don’t understand what you mean, detective.”
The detective's smirk only widened as he leaned in, maintaining his composure despite the tense atmosphere. "Oh, I think you understand perfectly well," Shikanoin Heizou said, his voice calm and collected. “Well let me make it clear for you: we've been closely monitoring the activities, and all the evidence points to the two of you."
Todoroki's face flushed with anger, his usually composed demeanor shattered by the baseless accusations. Clenching his fists, he struggled to contain the seething rage building within him. “Ridiculous! I don't have time to listen to this. Get out of here, you little brat!”
“Todoroki, calm down.” Your restraint on him was tight and firm, though his anger can never diminish at least he held back from lashing out.
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose to alleviate the building headache. Your morning started off horribly already before you could even do your usual work.
“I just wanna know and confirm from you personally what we already know to be the truth.” The detective chuckled, seemingly unfazed by your glare. At this point, he’s already grown used to it now.
You cast a worried glance at the old man, realizing the severity of the situation. Lumine, though unable to intervene directly, tried to offer silent support from the sidelines. The detective's gaze shifted to her, and he raised an intrigued eyebrow.
“Argh... Masashi! Tokuda! Arrest these people!” Todoroki shouted, alerting the named soldiers. Masashi and Tokuda hesitated for a moment as they saw the intensity of his anger. They were torn between obeying their superior's orders and questioning the validity of the detective's claims.
Seeing the dangerous situation unfold, you stepped forward, your voice calm but assertive. “Wait no! Put the weapon down!”
The detective sighed, seemingly disappointed by the chaos he had caused. "Oh, but it seems like emotions are running high. Perhaps the truth is finally coming to the surface," he remarked, fueling the fire further.
You tightened your grip on Todoroki's arm, trying to anchor him and maintain control of the situation. "Enough of this nonsense! If you have any evidence, present it properly instead of making baseless claims."
The situation had escalated far beyond your expectations, and you knew that finding a way to clear your names and prove your innocence would be a daunting task. With tension still thick in the air, you hoped that rationality would prevail and that the truth would ultimately come to light.
Heizou tutted, wagging his index finger as if he was a disappointed parent. “We saw you last night, Miss [Name] and Mister Todoroki. You were with Tokuda and Masashi helping to carry the goods.”
Your eyes widened in surprise and you felt your heart was about to come out of your throat. “Well, the Traveler can confirm it for me. Isn’t that right?” The redhead peered over to the said name. Lumine hesitated for a moment, torn between being truthful and not wanting to further implicate you or Todoroki. She took a deep breath and nodded.
You groaned, the defeat sinking into you slowly, eating up your entire soul. You swallowed your pride and sighed heavily. It’s better to clear up the misunderstanding than fuel this fire into madness.
You went down onto your knees and placed your head against the ground. Todoroki's eyes widened in shock, and it wasn’t just him. Even Lumine, Paimon, the two soldiers, and Heizou were surprised.
For you to kneel and beg was unexpected and Todoroki was concerned when you performed dogeza. "Hey, [Name], there's no need for that," he said, his voice softer now, realizing the toll the situation was taking on you.
Gorou came rushing in, his arms wide as he stepped in and intervened. “Everyone, please calm down!” He was panting heavily, running immediately to the Sangonomiya Shrine when he was alerted by the soldiers of the conflict occurring here.
You ignored Todoroki and pleaded for Heizou’s empathy. “Please, listen to us.” Heizou watched you with a mix of surprise and curiosity as you pleaded for understanding. The tense atmosphere seemed to momentarily ease as Gorou's presence diffused the situation slightly.
The detective crossed his arms, his expression stoic as he considered your plea.
"Fine, I'll listen," he said, though his tone still held a hint of skepticism. You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself as you explained Watatsumi Island’s current struggle and situation.
“Watatsumi is a barren island. Growing crops here is futile…” It shattered Lumine’s heart to hear your voice wavering. “You can't grow food or medicinal herbs here. And if we buy them from Ritou, we pay exorbitant taxes.” Todoroki added, exasperation evident in his tone.
“My eldest son died fighting on the battlefield. But do you know how my second son died? He died because there was no medicine to treat him! He sacrificed himself so [Name] will be treated!”
Your stomach felt heavy, recalling the smell of rust and heavy stains of red all over your abdomen. The old man's face was etched with grief and frustration as he continued, his voice trembling with emotion. “[Name] got injured during the war and I was able to cure her before things got worse…”
You clenched your fist and bit your lip. You still didn’t raise your head. This was the only way to show and beg for the Shogunate’s mercy and understanding. Rebelling would be useless and you’d be willing to turn yourself in if that’s the only option to save your hometown.
“I beg you, please don’t tell this to the Commission… This is the only thing I ask of you, Shikanoin.” You dropped the mocking nickname and addressed him by his last name. Todoroki hated seeing you kneeling like this. His anger was boiling, fueling his rage, and it was hard to stop himself.
“Gorou, if we detain them today, the Shogunate will never know what we've done. Besides, we're only a few months away now...We will set them free once the new bill is passed in just a few months, and everything will be okay. None of what happened here will be mentioned again, and life on Watatsumi Island will continue to improve.” Todoroki convinced the general. The urgency and desperation were so evident and the gears on Heizou’s head were turning, finally confirming his case.
“I understand you’re worried about them, Todoroki. But they won’t—“
“That man’s a Tenryou Commissioner!" He cried, his voice becoming scratchy. "If we let him go free, then who's to say that the Shogunate won't come after us tomorrow? If they decide to investigate, we won't be able to hide the truth.”
The general furrowed his brows, understanding the gravity of the situation. Heizou's knowledge of the smuggling activities could be disastrous for the people of Watatsumi Island.
Todoroki looked like he was giving up. No matter how much he argued and convinced Gorou, it’ll all be useless. He’s a simple farmer and he has no power commanding the island’s government.
The atmosphere was gloomy and tense, it almost affected Lumine as well. But her eyes lit up recalling what Todoroki said.
“Wait, what is the bill you just mentioned?”
“It's a new commodity tax bill currently being drafted by the Kanjou Commission. The bill exempts taxes on goods that are in short supply on Watatsumi Island. Once the bill is introduced, we'll be able to buy commodities that we need from regular marketplaces…” Gorou explained.
Then everything clicked. Heizou chuckled and shook his head. "Oh, I see. Man alive… These all make sense now.” He settled his gaze back to you and your eyes made contact with him. Just one look at him and you can feel the dread eating you up whatever that might come out of his lips.
“Alright, in exchange to keep everything here a secret, I’ll stay here a little bit longer.”
“YOU WHAT?!” Hearing you scream at the top of your lungs and standing up surprised everyone.
Oh that shit-eating smirk is back again. The vein on your forehead was noticeable and Lumine calmed you down by pulling you back.
“Oh you heard me. I’m staying here and I’ll be able to see you more, Miss [Name].”
Your heart sank as you realized the implications of Heizou's words. He was willing to stay on Watatsumi Island, watching and wandering the coast area. You’d see him all day while you work and just the thought of it is enough to make you gag in disgust you’ll see this man.
The relief you felt about the bill that could potentially help the island was overshadowed by the fear of having a Tenryou Commissioner in your midst, ruining your peaceful life.
“Oh, come on, Miss Shrine Maiden. What’s with that look? Surely you must have noticed that, aside from being a detective, I am also an ordinary tourist who likes to enjoy good scenery?”
The annoying nickname was back again. You couldn't hide the disdain in your eyes as Heizou's smirk grew wider. Your heart sank further as you realized that the detective's prolonged stay on Watatsumi Island would indeed be a constant source of unease for you.
It wasn't just his involvement in the smuggling investigation that bothered you; it was his nosiness that annoys you the most that there's a possibility he'll take confidential information about the island and use it against you leading to another war.
Gorou and Todoroki, however, seemed unfazed by Heizou's decision to stay longer. The general saw it as an opportunity to further strengthen the island's ties with the Tenryou Commission.
"I'm glad to hear you'll be staying a little longer, Detective Heizou," Gorou said, a hint of gratitude in his tone and Todoroki nodded in agreement.
You forced a smile, not wanting to cause further tension. Deep down, you knew that they were right – accepting Heizou's presence was necessary to buy time until the new bill could be passed. Still, it didn't change the fact that you dreaded the days ahead, knowing that you'd have to endure his watchful gaze while trying to go about your daily work.
Heizou's eyes locked with yours again, and you could sense the amusement in his gaze. "Oh, come on now, Miss Shrine Maiden. I promise I won't be a bother," he said teasingly.
You gritted your teeth, suppressing the urge to retort. There was nothing you could do but play along and hope that the situation would resolve itself once the new bill was in effect.
Until then, you'd have to be on guard and keep Lady Sangonomiya close and safe, all while enduring the presence of a suspicious and nosy Tenryou Commissioner on Watatsumi Island.

Heyyy
Okay what about heizou and reader fake dating so he can solve a case.
Would you write a fic about that or rather not?
thank you for the ask and im sorry im so bad at responding on time :((
but sure! why not :D i would write it as headcanons..
Tumblr media
heizou x reader fake dating hcs:
so he knows you are connected to the case ever since he has recieved it. of course?? you are the significant other (were) the significant other of the person that left you just after marrying you. was it your riches? maybe yes… he took your end of the riches, accused you of not being faithful and left. now is lavishly enjoying everything. while only ur best friend knew ur not wrong, she came in and went to the genius detective hei.
he taps his chin and mumbles, “so why hasnt she done anything?” ur friend sighed and explained how depressed and cheated you truly felt at that. how someone can be that vile and greedy to love u one moment and leave u be for the next, clamping down ur riches???
“but not doin anything is only making it worse, people would only think she is quiet because she is guilty,” heizou spoke, landing his fist on his palm. “alright, let’s see… time to go meet yn,”
he lands on ur door along with your best friend, “hello! then names shikanoin heizou! i’m a detective in the tenryou commission, and i’m here to hel-” he grinned, before being interrupted by you. “no need, i don’t care,”
before u could slam the door at his face, he put his feet between; getting inside with your best friend. “listen, it’s a mere case of character assassination, and you are from one of the respectable families in inazuma; if not for urself, take into account ur parents and ur family status. you deserve to get all ur riches back. and your respect! the only way that can happen is if you step up,”
you look at him, tears brimming up in your eyes as you rolled your eyes. “why? i don’t even give a shit about it anymore… he was after my money and he pretty much got it! i don’t care anymore-” your soft whines turned into slight hiccup and sniffles. yes your family reputation has had quite a blow, yes you feel like shit, yes whatever he says is right—
“leave it to me, i’ll handle everything, i’m not the best detective in all of inazuma for nothing,” he assured you with a grin, his personality was refreshing and soft. made you smile back, after what seemed like ages.
eventually heizou came up with a full blown plan of you and him fake dating, you accepting that yes you have been mischaractered but that’s only because your ex cheated you in the first place. here comes your family dignity and your family status in position. no one would believe a random nobody and of course would lean towards you. having contacts with the tenryou, kanjou and yashiro commission; things might sail smooth, really smooth!
reluctantly, and slightly hesitantly, you agreed and the first sight was you and him walking together hand in hand, then it changed into you spending time together with him, eventually turning into you and him hanging out together almost everyday for about a month. information spread like wild fire, people asked you and your guards, anywhere they can get information about yn and her personal life, and with the carefully crafted web that heizou built; things were getting easier and easier.
sometimes you and him would talk for hours, how different your opinions were about things, how he felt about the crime and how the criminals should think twice about committing a crime when it’s about shikanoin heizou’s reputation. if you were to be so bold, you have also fallen asleep in his presence, feeling light headed and safe. he was completely different than what you were used to..
no, yn, it’s just a case! it’s just for a case! despite explaining that to urself everyday, you could find him cooking ur favorite food, bringing you ur favorite scandalous books from yae publications; books that shouldn’t be with a dignified lady. (smut books)! :3
you were happy that you opened up to him so much, that there was someone with the knowledge of the world, and yet someone like a breath of fresh air.. you needed it in your life, you needed it oh so bad.
finally when your ex husband, now divorced, got to know about everything and recieved a formal petition from the tri-commission to respectfully apologize and also submit the riches and the money back! he came daunting to you, raging with defeat.
that’s the first time you saw heizou’s anemo vision in action. “oh- one punch and he’s out,” he chuckled, “great! i don’t like fighting anyway,” heizou launched towards you, bowing gently. “thank you, yn. with this we complete our mission; but with this, i must say i got someone very- very important to me. i hope i can keep that bond between us alive for years to come,”
you stopped him and maybe, this was the first time you were truly being the scandalous lady you were portrayed to be, because you kissed him with all you’ve got, not an ounce of care about what it will result to, not an ounce of fuck given towards reputation, he was ur sunshine and you were sick of the clouds,”
heizou kissed you back, a blush dusted over both of your cheeks as he leaned back, mumbling gently, “guess… the bond between us is stronger than i thought, maybe forever,” with that, he kissed you again, this time as fervently as his vision, and even if he took your breath away, you were happy that you accepted the case with shikanoin heizou ;)
ps: word vomit alert 🚨 also feel free to send genshin impact asks/thirsts/talk to me abt anything and everything xx i’m bored :3

going to the beach with the genshin boys! pt 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
included characters: Heizou, Itto, Ayato, Albedo rating: sfw warnings: alcohol mention in Ayato’s, gn reader
Heizou:
okay let’s be real, he’s the metal detector at the beach kind of guy. He collects a bag full of little rings, bracelets, charms, etc and he’s, of course, looking for something specific. He may be here to solve a decades old murder/disappearance on the beach and he’s convinced he’s going to do it with a metal detector.
Maybe you think he’s crazy! and then he digs up an old bullet casing and he’s like, well, well, well. The pieces are all falling together.
He might not put it all together at the beach, but he got what he’s here for, and now- there’s a bunch of greasy, horrible for your arteries fried food just a short walk away and he’s starving.
He likes to people watch while you guys eat at the boardwalk. He has a lot of observations he can make about the various characters you see. Someone is obviously cheating, there’s a tan line on his finger but no ring. Someone else is about to propose, she keeps patting her pocket and glancing back at the disguised best friend photographer. He catches a bunch of small details you wouldn’t even think to look for.
You guys run into a small time magician on the pier who tries some silly, not very inventive tricks on you to get you to buy his handbook on sleight of hand. Heizou ends up unraveling his tricks and revealing to the crowd how exactly they all work.
He would have let the guy go if he wasn’t also picking pockets with each sales pitch. Heizou, of course, reveals his crimes and the crowd goes from awestruck to pissed. You guys hang around long enough to confirm justice has been served, and then its on to a shady character messing the ferris wheel...
It might not be the beach day you envisioned, but it’s par the course with him. At least you get a bunch of random jewelry to play with at the end of day (if he’s not deadset on hunting down the owners and returning them.... expect that to be your next date).
Itto:
bury him up to his waist in sand and give him a fake mermaid tail or something. That’s what he’s here for. If Childe was the dig a big hole in the sand guy, Itto is the dig a BIGGER hole in the sand guy but then also nearly get buried by it. He’ll be coughing up sand and salt water for a bit.
He see’s some kid with a faux hawk swimming and he’s like THERE’S A SHARK IN THE WATER! and freaks everyone out including the shark kid. He tries to convince you it was a funny prank and that his frantic fleeing and tripping over sand to get away from the shark was part of it. Of course he didn’t ACTUALLY think that kid in floaties was a shark, haha...
You play with one of those big inflatable beach balls until he tries to headbutt it, pops it with his horns, and then he’s standing there with the beach ball deflating over his face.
Challenges anyone he can to a popsicle eating competition, loser has to pay for all the popsicles. He wins the first time, then loses the next and is like woah woah woah, I ate double the popsicles you ate, they definitely carry over from the last match- oh? they don’t? Hey, babe, do you have like, uh, $30 bucks? (He promises he’ll win next time)
Voted most likely to get stung by a jellyfish and believe the myth that you have to pee on it to heal it. Please tell him that’s not the truth and you’ll just take him to urgent care or something so he stops panicking about the venom eventually paralyzing him.
Is a total baby about the jellyfish sting and the sunburn he has because “REAL men don’t need sunscreen, I’ll just reflect the sun rays with my pecs” (enjoy putting aloe vera on a huge himbo who whines every time you have to touch him because it huuuuurts)
Ayato:
He’s really REALLY not a public beach guy. He’ll take you to a private beach or a resort/beach house with an infinity pool just for the two of you.
Lounge poolside/beach side with a fancy cocktail that has a little umbrella in it. He might offer to make you a drink, and then stare at you very expectantly when you taste it. He’s done something weird to the drink, not like unhealthy/drugged weird, but maybe it’s 90% lemon juice or he put an olive into your pina colada. The game here is that you know it’s going to be gross, but you have to control your reaction and take a little sip of it and be like “wow, great job, dear <3 you should really try it :) you did such a good job!”
He will have to taste test it because he’s well mannered, and you did insist, and now he has to pretend it doesn’t taste like pure citric acid melting his tongue. He pretends it’s drinkable, then laments how he didn’t write down the recipe so you’ll never be able to taste it again.
“Then we shouldn’t get so attached to it. You should throw it away before we grow to love it too much!” and he does! and you’ve won this round. Next time, it’ll be a glass full of vodka with a salted rim. You won’t win that one.
You guys can go swimming, hang out on fancy inflatable floats, etc. You can challenge him to do an underwater handstand, which he finds endearing that you’d want to do that, and he definitely can. He lets his hair down, so to speak, and does some more of the silly stuff with you. Like he WILL play mermaids if you ask politely, and he will jump off the diving board with you and try to do poses for pictures. He will deny it if you mention in a professional setting, but Ayaka and Thoma will know and they’ll thank you for getting him to unwind.
He likes to take a sunset stroll down the beach and thanks you for giving him such a relaxing day. Tomorrow, he’ll have to go back to all work all day Ayato, but he’ll remember today as an escape from his busy life.
Albedo:
yes, he IS a painting the sunset type of guy. He’ll bring sketch or paint supplies, find a place to set up, and will Art his Little Heart Out. He likes to sketch you, especially if you’re doing something you think is mundane. Something like making a little sandcastle, rolling a crab onto it’s front so it can get away, showing him a pretty seashell, etc. He thinks the normal, unassuming moments are when he loves you most. He wants to remember them forever.
He has a lot to say about the makeup of the beach and it’s inhabitants. He’s wistful about the lives of the shells you find, how old they are, how far they travelled to end up here, etc. He’s interested in the marine life in the area, and if you’re on a beach that has like any signs that tell you about the ecosystem, he IS sitting there and reading the entire thing.
He ends up having to draw some portraits for kids who see him painting and start being super excited about getting their own picture down. Normally, he’d say no, but they’re so young and polite he can’t help himself.
He’s also interested in using natural ingredients to make paint, so you guys can collect some of the various materials and plants you can find and he’ll try to make paint out of it! So what if the finished landscape smells like seaweed?
He likes making sandcastles with you, so you might end up having a little sandcastle city. When the tide comes in and starts washing it away and you’re a little sad about it, he just comments that everything decays eventually. At least it existed as long as it did and will be mourned by the two of you.
Not a very exciting or energetic day, but he’s very willing to return. As long as next time you grab something to eat a little sooner than you did because he nearly passes out on the way home. He got too into all of the activities, he forgot to eat and the harsh sun certainly didn’t help. He needs a day to recover.

slightly massive hallway crush—
Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: romantic fluff
relationships: heizou x shy!reader
synopsis: you have a small hallway crush on this attractive boy you see around the hallways, and you screw up the first opportunity you get to talk to him
cw: reader says a curse word
Tumblr media
a mix of voices swarmed your ears as you dragged your feet along the hallways of your university. it was friday, and by archons, were you ready for the weekend. your professors had no mercy, assigning project after project, each new assignment adding another weight to your drooping shoulders. you mumbled softly to yourself as you recounted all the work you had to get done this weekend.
a loud voice yanked you out of your stupor, and you looked up to see a bright girl with coral colored hair yelling and gesturing wildly with one hand as she grasped a thick book with the other. yanfei. everyone knew her, she majored in law, and was one of the best students the university was ever blessed with. behind her stood her friends, whos faces contained amused smiles as they watched their unofficial leader chew out some poor freshman.
you searched for that one person though, as if your eyes were attracted to him like a magnet. thoughts raced around your head whispering things about his appearance, reminding you of his wine colored hair and smirk that permanently adorned his lips—and then you saw him.
you didn’t know his name, all you knew was that he was yanfei’s friend, was also in the law major, and was the most attractive man you’ve ever seen. your brain subconsciously always sought him out in the hallways, your eyes tracing his features as if he was a sculpture.
as yanfei argued passionately with some poor kid who looked like he was about to run away, you unabashedly stared at the man, your heart fluttering in tune to his blinks. one blink, a beat. another blink, another beat and then—
your heart sped up. your heartbeat reached such high levels your watch started beeping, alerting you to the fact that your heart rate was, in fact, reaching worrying levels.
he had winked at you. green eyes had shifted from yanfei’s form to yours, the smirk on his lips increasing ever so slightly as he closed one eye to wink at you. and just as quickly as it had happened, he looked away, striding over to the argument to give his own two cents on the topic.
nobody had noticed, a small part of your brain reassured you, but was quickly lost in your brain screaming to you, one half torn in between asking you if you are hallucinating, the other half analyzing every part of that wink, from the moment his eyes met yours to the moment where he looked away.
is this what true chaos is?
“alright move along everyone,” a silkily smooth voice slid across the hallways as everyone’s head shifted to look at the voice’s owner. professor lisa flashed her signature smile at the students as she glided her way across the crowd, making her way to her next class.
“yanfei please refrain from verbally murdering that poor young man, not only are you clogging up the hallways you’re also clogging up the poor boy’s ability to think. come on everyone, we all wouldn’t want to be late to class now would we?”
another saccharine sweet smile followed the command disguised as a question, and you slowly shuffled along the hallways as it gradually started moving again, everyone’s attention off the debate and now on where they needed to go.
a soft thump sounded as you sat down on the bench in class, your brain processing what had happened in the hallway.
you didn’t know his name. he always wandered the hallways, a smirk always gracing his lips. never without people, you admired the way he was able to flawlessly hold a conversation with anyone, about anything.
more often then naught, you’ve wished for an opportunity to talk to him, to be the subject of those twinkling green eyes and that smooth melodious voice. you thought he was merely interesting.
okay yes, you had a hallway crush on this man. a slightly massive one.
you let out a soft sigh at your desk, eyes darting to the large clock that hung over the table to check the time.
“why, hello there.”
your head whipped around so fast, breath catching slightly as you met the eyes of the person who had been consuming your thoughts.
“i’m heizou, may i have the pleasure of knowing your name, cutie?”
you thought you were malfunctioning. you wouldn’t be surprised if steam was coming off your cheeks with the way they were burning at his close proximity.
“i think i’m in the wrong class”, you managed to squeak out, before gathering your things and rushing out.
only after did you realize that heizou had asked you a question, and like a stupid, stupid fool you didn’t answer him.
maybe you should move to some random corner of the earth.
———
your embarrassment stuck to you like a piece of gum on a shoe as the hours crawled by, slowly shifting into tomorrow. the next day, you seriously considered hopping onto a flight to go ANYWHERE, as long as you didn’t have to face him again.
a small part of your brain reminded you that you had a name to the face now.
heizou.
just thinking his name had your heart doing flips, a giddiness rising in you which was promptly stomped down as you remembered you’d have to face him today again. great.
a short time later you were already in front of your class; you had rushed through the school to get to your class as early as possible in hopes you wouldn’t see him today. you mentally congratulated yourself and turned to walk into class.
an expletive left your lips as heizou stood before you, his signature smirk blending into a smile as he greeted you.
“hello there,,, well i’m not sure what i should call you. we never finished that conversation did we?” he cheekily smiled at you, noting the blush that dusted your cheeks.
you opened your mouth to tell him your name, but he beat you to it, your name leaving his lips.
“that is your name isn’t it?”
your heart stuttered out a yes, and then your lips did. your eyes caught his and he smiled at you, making you melt even more.
“it’s nice meeting you. i appreciate being able to put a name to the face to the cutie i always see everywhere in this place.”
you were dying, you thought, as you watched his hand reach out, an invitation to an acquaintance. a strong firm hand grasped yours as you reached out timidly, accepting the silent request.
“you don’t talk much do you? that’s okay, i talk a ton. hey, what do you think about hanging out at the library later? whenever your classes end. if you’d like to of course.”
you blankly stared at him until your last brain cell pushed the words that seemed to be stuck in your throat.
“yes! i’d really like that”, you admitted, your voice starting out loudly and then slowly shifting back to your normal volume.
“great!” his ever present smile inched a little larger, “how’s this afternoon, around 3 sound to you?”
you agreed and he nodded with a sense of finality.
“well then, i’ll see you then cutie. it was a pleasure to meet you.” he winked at you, sending your heart into a spasm, and then he was gone, leaving you wondering if he saw your little goodbye wave.
you couldn’t wait till today afternoon.

"don't you feel bored?"
you looked to your boyfriend on your right, heizou, with a smile on your face. "well, i do feel bored sometimes. but you always visit me everyday so why would i get bored?"
he breathe out a laugh at your answer and leans towards your hospital bed. "when will you come out of the hospital?" he asked with a frown on his face.
you put your hand on your chin, thinking quietly to yourself. "hmm..i don't know. one day, maybe?"
"if you never got out of the hospital, how am i supposed to propose to you properly?"
"why don't you just propose to me right now?"
"no way! you said you want me to take you to a fancy dinner for that, remember?" you snort out a laugh. three months ago, you've been diagnosed with a rare disease. heizou was supposed to propose to you the day you got diagnosed, but it seems like god has other plans.
there was a silence between the two of you. you shift your attention to the cat plushy that's sitting on your lap. the one that heizou bought you a year ago. you smile to yourself as you remembered how he gave it to you. disheveled hair, flowers in hand, and the plushy in another.
oh, how you want to rewind time.
"heizou..." he looks up at you.
"yes, my dear?"
before continuing your sentence, your smile softened hearing him calling you 'my dear'. "will you wait for me?"
a warm smile made it to his face. "of course i will. i will always wait for you."
.
.
.
it's raining. his suit wet because of the rain. disheveled hair, flowers in hand, and a ring in another. he kneeled down and whispered, "hello, my dear. it's raining today. it seems like the world is also sad that you're gone."
he puts the flowers on top of your grave and pull out his hand to show the ring.
"here, the ring that you requested." he puts one on his hand and the other beside the flowers. "you spesifically said that you want this one, right?"
he smiled to himself remembering how excited you are when he brings you to the jewelry store. "i know that you want me to take you to a fancy dinner." his smile faltered.
"i know that.." he puts a hand to his face to wipe of his tears. "i was nervous. i was just making excuses. i'm sorry for proposing so late."
oh, how he wants to rewind time.

"welcome, to the ouran host club!"
ft. lumine, aether, xiao, kazuha, heizou, venti, scaramouche + faruzan
cw : lumine and aether are not related in this au (no romance like in original manga obv), slight canon divergence of travelers, implied xiaother?? idk
Tumblr media
✦ synopsis : An alternate universe where the Anemo boys are a part of a host club. The Ouran Host Club is where the school's handsomest boys, with too much time on their hands, entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands. However, a rubbish-looking student with unkempt blonde hair stumbles into this elegant playground, and both their worlds are turned upside down.
>> 🍁 kazuha's musings : alas, here is the beginning of a fun little au I've been thinking of for the past few months. so very sorry for the random lack of fics, i needed some time to get back into the swing of things... but! i am very excited to see where this au takes me, i hope you'll like it <3 i have sm stuff to talk about lol i hope you can bare with me while a scramble to organize things
Tumblr media
✦ The Natural Type: Lumine
A lower-middle class student that’s attending the prestigious Ouran Academy as an honour student, and after breaking the Host Club’s vase is forced to pay off her debt by becoming their “errand boy”—but it seems that everyone at the school assumes Lumine is a boy and a pretty one at that. Say, wouldn’t it be easier to pay off that debt by becoming a host?
Lumine is introverted and closed off in nature, yet she has an affinity for helping others. Her home life is much more humble compared to the other host club members, the only person accompanying her being her step-sister Paimon and Lumine's father. The members like to tease her about her lack of understanding of 'rich people culture', especially food. Her care and kindness always seem to shine through, and maybe with the help of the host club, she can learn to become the brightest star in the night sky.
✦ The Princely Type: Aether
The leader and founder of the infamous Ouran Host Club! He’s sickly rich, and his foreign background and, um, “charming” personality is what makes him so alluring to the guests. He is Very energetic and is often caught up in his own fantastical ideas he enjoys pestering Xiao about, he’s the reason why the club can seem so strange at times (or all the time, to be honest). Aether seldom discusses his home life, his family situation is less than joyful—as such, he finds refuge in the host club and wholeheartedly thinks of them as not only close friends but family.
He’s exceptionally selfless, and although he can be clouded by his rich background he means nothing but good intent—and Lumine (+ the other hosts) finds herself having to pull him back to reality at times. He’s a radiant star, bursting into view like the sun. It can be bothersome at times, your eyes will hurt if you look at it for too long, but the bright warmth it brings is all the more nostalgic and comforting.
✦ The Strong and Silent Type: Xiao
The Co-Founder of the host club, he handles the costs and merchandise, acting as the ‘reasonable one’ compared to Aether’s bursts of outlandish ideas. He’s been lonesome up until his last year of middle school, where he met Aether and agreed to help him set up the host club—but the only preface was that Aether had to recruit the rest of the members on his own, Xiao’s not one to socialize after all… He knew what he signed up for when he founded the host club, but his stand-offish attitude and desire to protect others are why he's very popular among guests, mysteries are all the more exciting! Hosting is not at all his strong suit, but the softened look in his eyes when Aether decides to butt in is VERY interesting to visitors.
✦ The Cool Type: Kaedehara Kazuha
Originates from an ancient clan that has declined in recent years, but still holds social power and respect in modern-day Japan. His hands wield a blade with swift precision and a pen that writes gentle poetic words on the page. Kazuha doesn't pride himself on his family name but still holds a respect for his ancestors as he has sworn to protect another fellow member of the host club (since their respective clans had been bonded by marriage). He can be pretty aloof when it comes to planning club activities, Kazuha prefers to go with the wind and is willing to hear out Aether on almost all his grand ideas for events. He's very charismatic, charming any lady with a gentle smile and the kiss of a hand.
✦ The Devilish Type: Shikanoin Heizou
He comes from a famous martial arts family and has referred to himself as Ouran's specialized 'detective' since middle school. He has a rather unique personality, which could get on some people's nerves, but Heizou's top priorities are to have fun in the host club and sleuth out any troublemakers lurking in the shadows! Not many people know this, but he was a part of the newspaper club before deciding to join the host club, and after a few less-than-pleasant events he inevitably left.
He doesn't enjoy discussing it, though, simply shooting his guests a playful smirk and leaving them with a vague response. Heizou's always been like this, and guests wouldn't recognize the other side of himself he's learned to show to his fellow club members. Outside of his host club activities, he annoys Lumine by dragging her into his sudden little pranks, and it doesn't help that they share most of their classes. His reasonings aren't at all profound, there's no problem in having a little fun while also working on a brewing case.
✦ The Cute Type: Venti
A self-proclaimed bard that enjoys serenading fair maidens and indulging himself with a tall glass filled with red wine… which is what he wishes he could say, he can't actually drink alcohol until he's twenty-one, so instead, the club provides him with a variety of fruity beverages as compensation. Anyways! He's awfully lighthearted and carefree, seemingly not worrying about what song he'll sing for his future guests (which Kazuha tends to help him with). Although Venti seems like the youngest out of the group, he's actually a third year in high school!
Even though Kazuha had traditionally sworn to protect Venti, Kazuha is the younger one. Venti insists that their clan relations shouldn't stiffen their relationship. As far as anyone else knows, they're just two friends who joined the host club for fun! Venti is rather childish at face value, but he's much more perceiving than he likes to lead on, perhaps one of the reasons he joined was just to be pampered in praises and affection by the guests… Venti is always carrying around a large plush toy resembling a tanuki with a peculiar leaf on its head, and it's an unspoken rule to never mess with "Muji".
✦ The Naughty Type: Scaramouche
The son of Japan's prime minister, he carries a cold glare and silver tongue wherever he wanders. He had absolutely zero interest in meddling with a frivolous host club, yet after the breakage of… a few prized glass sculptures from the host club, Scaramouche is in the same predicament Lumine was in. She tries to show him some encouraging comfort, but his response is far more bitter. It's hard to pinpoint on just why Scaramouche decided to stay, he prefers to act high and mighty and refer to his club members as simply 'lesser value', but it's clear there's a more emotional reason to this. (When asked about this, he just said they have high-quality tea leaves.)
Both Lumine and Heizou subconsciously appointed themselves to teach Scaramouche the ropes of being a good host, and it's almost comical having Scaramouche blatantly insult guests while the pair try to cut him off and lessen the sting of his crude remarks. It's hard to believe why he had to go through this much trouble to pay off a debt he could easily have someone else settle, and the main reason would be the relationship with his mother, but… that's a story for another time.
✦ The Manager: Faruzan
Lastly, we have the Ouran host club's self-appointed manager! She prides herself on her intelligence and higher grade (even though Venti is the same age as her) and enjoys guiding the members on developing their 'characters' to be more appealing to guests. Since she's the only female member outside of Lumine, Faruzan strongly believes she's much more qualified for what girls like. Speaking of the pair, Faruzan often refers to Lumine as the actual 'leader' of the host club, as she has no trouble charming and conversing with guests compared to the other members' over-the-top antics.
Aether acts a bit hurt over this, but that doesn't diminish the respect the boys have for Madame Faruzan and vise-versa! As to how she was appointed to the manager role, she was acquainted with Lumine beforehand and acted as her study mentor. As such, she discovered Lumine's relations with the host club and was so shocked by the state that she took it upon herself to 'help' them. How is madame Faruzan so well-versed in romance, you may ask? An absurd amount of free time and mentally taxing studies can lead to you picking up rather strange young adult novels, let's say…

The Great Detective
Heizou takes you out on a date because you're leaving for a long and perilous journey basically.
genderneutral!reader, who is not traveler
The wind dances around you and Heizou as you two sit near the maples in Ritou. Scarlet leaves are torn from their branches but sway to a gentle stop at your feet. You glance at the detective beside you before deciding to speak.
“I’m going on a long and perilous journey tomorrow,” you casually state. It’s early in the morning after a case was just concluded, so there aren’t too many people around. Your words therefore bounce around the harbour before reaching Heizou’s ears.
His eyes widen in shock when the words register. You probably should’ve let him know sooner but with a major case occupying your thoughts, it just slipped out of your thoughts. He offered to let you stay with him during your stay in Inazuma and the two of you had become close work partners and roommates, so you really do regret not informing him sooner. Alas, it can’t be helped.
The silence draws out for far too long. You watch his brows scrunch together in confusion, maybe anger. Maybe even disappointment. He gazes at you for a moment longer.
“In that case, let’s spend this last day enjoying ourselves before you leave,” his voice is devoid of negative inflections. He plasters an amicable smile on his face before standing up and brushing himself off. His hand is offered to you to help you up, and you grasp it as you help yourself out of the little corner you two were in. It’s warm and comfortable within your palm. Reluctantly, you slip your hand out of his.
“Alright, where do you want to take me?” you inquire with a cheery smile on your face. Heizou’s eyes drift away from you, no doubt thinking up a grand plan. In less than half a minute, he snaps those magic fingers that indicate the conclusion of his thinking.
“For breakfast, we’ll go to some of the food stalls in Ritou to sample some food. Then before lunch, we can walk around because I heard there were some temporary puzzle rooms installed nearby by some Fontaine inventor. Then for lunch, we’ll head up to the city food stalls. Afterwards we can take a walk. The evening is a mystery,” Heizou winks at you and grins. His smile falters for a bit. “Won’t you need to pack today?”
“I’ll pick up some stuff while I’m there,” you shrug the question away. “You’ll have me for the whole day.”
“Alright,” Heizou offers you his hand. You take it, once again savouring the warmth of his grasp. “I don’t want you to get lost.”
He lets out a small laugh and you do too. The two of you relish in the crisp morning air of Ritou, eating your fill and sharing different foods from stalls. A short while later, the puzzle rooms are found and entered.
The room is triple locked from the inside, and the Fontaine inventor simply gives the two of you a cheery wave before assuring you they still have the outside key if need be. Heizou pulls you inside with flushed cheeks and a sparkle in his eye.
“Two of my favourite things in the world before me,” Heizou glances at you. His hand is still locked with yours, fingers entangled together. You pull him slightly more towards you, leaning towards his ear to mimic his flirtatious attitude.
“One of my favourite things stands before me also,” you draw away from him, victoriously noting the flush on his face from your proximity. “Let’s get out of here.”
Heizou nods, surveying the surroundings. The flush on his cheeks is still present, and you smile before looking around yourself. There are three locks, so three different mysteries to search for. One lock is a key lock, one needs a numeric pattern inputted, and the other has patterned rings. Warm lamps illuminate the rooms in a yellow glow. The soft light bounces off the bookshelves and the table present, as well as other miscellaneous children’s toys strewn around the room. There is a notebook, pen and a jug of water and two glasses present on the table for visitors.
“We’ll get out faster if we look for clues independently,” Heizou sighs. “That means, I need to let go of you.”
“You can have my hand back after we’re out,” you suggest.
“Now I have something to work for,” Heizou slips his hand out of yours and examines the bookshelf.
“I’ll start with the bookshelf 1 and you look at bookshelf 2. We’ll cross examine the clues after, then the tables and objects scattered. We’re looking for a key and patterns,” you tell Heizou, who nods back in confirmation.
Upon further inspection, the books on the shelf are all light novel volumes, of varying genres. You pull out the first volume, and it’s a novel of a superhero based on the cover. Skimming through the pages, and they’re all blank. The next novel, as well. You make a wild guess and assume the rest will be blank as well, but it doesn’t hurt to check for clues. You look through the other two dozen novels, and they’re all blank. No hidden compartments on the actual shelf either, and you can’t move the furniture to check either as the owner specified before the two of you went in.
“All blank?” you call across the room. Heizou nods back, but he also holds up a key.
“There was a secret compartment in my shelf. I’ll attempt to open the first lock,” Heizou tells you. He walks over to the door and tries to turn the key but it remains shut. You gaze around the room for anything else that the key could open, before spotting a music box nestled behind a teddy bear.
“Try the music box,” you stride over to the music box and scoop it up, before handing it to Heizou. The key fits and the box springs open, revealing a small dancer within, but when examined closely, nothing else except some white fur. You glance over at the teddy bear, but the fur is a maroon.
“The stuffing,” Heizou realises. You agree, nothing else in the room could be the source of that fur, as the only remaining miscellaneous toys within the room are temari balls and different game boards. Luckily, the bear has a concealed zipper, so there is no need to brutally slash it open. The key is found nestled safely within the stuffing, and when Heizou uses it on the lock, a satisfying click is heard.
The two of you let out a small cheer before looking around again. You look at the water and notebook and then at Heizou, who nods. A classic. Heizou pours some of the water into the glass before pouring a bit onto the notebook, which reveals a four-digit string of numbers. You quickly input the information into the second lock, which opens successfully.
“Done and dusted,” you grin at Heizou. “The next lock is about to get busted as well.”
The next ten minutes pass fruitlessly. The two of you don’t find further clues.
“We forgot to cross-examine the shelves,” you cover your face with a hand before moving to the bookshelf Heizou was working on.
“Man alive, we did. What if we missed something and we were too preoccupied with the key to notice?” Heizou exclaims before swiftly moving to examine the other bookshelf.
A minute or so in, and in the fifth novel you flip through, you absentmindedly stop skimming through and carefully observe the blank pages. There’s a slight discoloration, and when you reach towards the patch of shadow, there’s an indented three shapes.
“Heizou!” you call out his name, going over to him with the book. “There’s a number here.”
You open up the book further to see the embossed shapes within. It’s done near the margin, so easy to miss.
Heizou shakes his head with a smile on his face. “I can’t believe I missed that.”
You walk over to the lock, but it requires four symbols and the book only has three. You shake your head at Heizou, and the two of you examine the bookshelves further before concluding that nothing else was found.
“Nothing,” you groan with frustration. “Only that pattern.”
“There’s something that we need to do with that,” Heizou’s eyes drift to a corner, no doubt thinking. Meanwhile, your train of thought finally arrives somewhere. Why were all the novels on the shelves blank? To shift focus away from the actual contents, and observe what? The actual novels? Light novels. Light. You’ve got it. You mimic Heizou’s snap to get his attention.
“Light novels,” you blurt out. “We haven’t examined the lamps at all.”
Heizou’s eyes widen. “You’re right. Some of these wall lamps should have some sort of ring to indicate a pattern needing to be inputted.”
The two of you split up to examine the wall lamps. You see one that has subtle rings on the attachment to the wall, and you gesture over Heizou. After he comes over, you slide the rings in place and the rest of the lights go dark except that one. The wall lamp’s bulb points to the wall and you hear lenses snap into place. The wall shows the four symbols, as projected by the lens over the bulb, and you let out a small cheer.
“Go input the symbols,” you tell Heizou with a huge smile on your face. Laughter bubbles up in you when you hear that jubilatory click of the third and final lock before the two of you get out.
“We did it!” Heizou retakes your hand joyously. “That was excellent deduction on your part. It would’ve taken me significantly longer to work out the abstracts of the puzzle.”
The Fontaine inventor receives their pay for use of the room and expresses their surprise at the speed at which the two of you got out.
“Normally, they take a lot longer,” they explain with a smile on their face. “You guys set a new record.”
You only smile at Heizou who smiles back. After the two of you exit the rooms, Heizou spins to you with an inquisitorial look.
“Do I get a prize for being a great detective?” Heizou looks at you earnestly. You decide to humour him.
“What kind of prize would you like?” you tease. “O great detective?
“More affection from you,” Heizou requests. “Like a hug or…”
“Or this?” you lean in and kiss his cheek. Instantly, his cheeks flare up a dark pink.
“Or that,” he says breathily. “You are going on a journey soon, after all.”
You lean in and kiss his other cheek. “Another for luck.”
His face is now almost completely tinged with a vibrant scarlet.
“I am extremely lucky,” Heizou says, slightly shakily. “I don’t even believe in luck.”
“Let’s eat,” you wink at him, turning his flirtatious nature back on him.
The two of you spend lunch once again sharing food from the stalls and trying out different delicacies, this time significantly closer than before. It leaves a warm feeling in your stomach and it’s relaxing listening to Heizou’s anecdotes. Before long, it’s evening in Inazuma and you’ve already spent some time traversing from the city to the beaches along the length of Inazuma’s coastline.
The two of you are soon at an island you’ve never visited before. It’s warm, and filled with vibrant ribbons and stalls selling festival gifts and decorations. The cool twilight sky contrasts the warm orange lights set up around the island. Myriads of hues greet your eyes as you look around. Souvenirs and gorgeous masks are set up nearby.
Smoky air and sweet desserts perfume the air, the scents coalescing into the divine smell of summer. Sakura petals dot the skies and the ground, adding another layer to all the scents. Heizou hangs on to your arm, pressing himself into your side as he points out all the hidden aspects of the decorations.
“This is Amakane Island,” he whispers into your ear. It’s now your turn to feel your face heat up by his proximity. He doesn’t move much further away from you after he speaks. Instead, his body has almost melted into yours as he leads you up the slope of the island, away from the bustling of people lower down.
A secluded grotto presents itself on the very top of the slope. A blanket has been laid down on the emerald grass, and carefully set upon it are different types of delicacies from your travels. Rosy pink lights cast illumination onto the blanket below, and subsequently you and Heizou, who’s pulled you down with him onto the blanket.
“How did you enjoy your day?” Heizou asks you softly. His gaze is turned towards you as the two of you lounge against each other.
“It was lovely,” you admit. “You sure know how to make me happy.”
“It’s not over yet,” Heizou informs you. “Look at the sky.”
Quizzically, you turn to look at the dark canvas of the sky. Pops of fireworks begin blossoming into the frame. A kaleidoscope of colours paints itself onto the midnight blue, dazzling you and showering you both in magnificent, vibrant hues of light.
“This is wonderful,” you move even closer towards Heizou. He’s warm, and breathing rapidly, you note. Your eyes are still affixed to the bright lights, however. “How did you organise all of this?”
“Some things are better left as a mystery- ” Heizou replies, resting his head on your shoulder. “-my dear partner.”
“I could kiss you right now,” you glance towards Heizou with a small smile on your face.
“Do it,” Heizou challenges; you pull him in using his collar and enjoy his widened eyes before your lips meet. He tastes sweet, just like the strawberries he was eating before. One of your hands is in his hair, the other on his neck. As you tug on his hair to lean his head back slightly, he lets out a breathy groan. You relish in the sound, deepening the kiss and pulling on his hair slightly to hear more of that noise.
When the two of you finally break apart, you smirk at his flushed face; it’s almost completely red.
“I didn’t know you were into that,” you tease him, leaning in towards his ear. Your voice is a playful whisper, and you observe his shivers as the sound reaches him.
“More,” Heizou pleads. His voice is strangled, and it only widens your smile. You oblige, pulling his waist towards you and leaving scorching kisses under his jaw, making sure to leave marks. You unbutton his shirt slightly to give yourself more space, trailing your lips over his skin towards his collarbone, before marking it up.
All throughout this you’re arching his back by gently tugging on his hair, and he’s enjoying every second of it, judging by the groans he’s letting out. You pull back a few seconds later to admire your handiwork. Heizou’s neck and jaw blossom with light pink marks, soon to become darker kisses. His face retains that gorgeous crimson flush on the cheeks, and his mouth is slightly ajar. His pupils are completely dilated and you adore that expression he’s wearing.
“Want to go home?” you ask him ever so softly. “We can continue at your apartment.”
You’ve never seen him move so fast to get ready, and it almost makes you laugh. Just kidding, you do giggle at the way he adjusts his hair and packs up the food and blanket.
When the two of you get back, he’s barely set the belongings down before he turns to you to make your move. Your earlier smirk returns as you slowly make your way towards him, before you caress his waist and press him into the wall.
Your lower body holds him steady against the wall so you move one hand back into his hair. His legs wrap around your waist and his hands hook behind your neck. Oh he’s really enjoying this, you note, before your lips once again meet. Heizou’s groans are muffled by your lips, his noises lost in you. You can’t keep your smile off your face for long as he keeps pressing his body closer towards you.
As his lips draw back to catch air, you start kissing the other side of his jaw. Small kisses at first, then you decide to mark up the other side as well. You suck on the skin, and all throughout it Heizou’s trying to keep his mouth shut. Out of embarrassment, maybe?
“I like hearing you,” your hand moves from his hair to his cheek, and you cup it as you tell him. You place your thumb on his lower lip and he opens his mouth again, and you savour his groans as you keep kissing his jawline.
“I really like you,” Heizou’s confession is punctured by breathy noises as you continue kissing him.
“Oh yeah? I really like you too,” you take a moment to look at him to admit it. He looks divine; his lips are swollen, his hair is messy and out, and his neck is starting to bloom with dark purple kisses.
You’re really enjoying this as well.
By the time the two of you are tired, his upper chest is covered with assorted marks, and your neck has a few as well. He offers to share a bed with you, strictly sleeping of course, and you accept after getting ready for sleep.
“Goodnight,” he whispers, and you repeat it before falling soundly asleep.
The next morning, you wake up to Heizou slumbering in your embrace. Your legs are tangled with his and his hand is holding yours. Your arms are wrapped around him and his back is facing you. He’s extremely comfortable, you admit to yourself.
“Rise and shine, sleepy,” you press a small kiss to the nape of his neck, brushing away his hair from his face.
“Morning,” he replies groggily. “That was the best night I’ve had in a while.”
“That’s good to hear,” you start to move around to get up but Heizou pulls you back down.
“Stay with me for a bit longer before you leave,” he pleads, and who are you to say no?
You lie back down, draping yourself over him, and it’s comfortable. Quiet. Enjoyable. You really do adore him, you realise, as you know you don’t want to be away from him for long.
Some time passes with him talking about an upcoming case and soon, it’s time to leave. You get ready and hoist on your shoes and jacket, and grab a basket.
“Where are you going? I’ll send you letters daily,” Heizou asks you as he helps you get organised.
“What do you mean?” your face is completely quizzical.
“Aren’t you going on that long and perilous journey?” Heizou’s expression looks as if he thinks you’ve lost your marbles.
“To the market? Have you ever been in that dangerous morning rush for food?” It seems like your casual demeanour about your journey has finally made sense to Heizou as his mouth gapes open slightly.
“It’s also my turn to get groceries,” you add on helpfully.
“I knew that,” Heizou says, all abashed.
“Great detective, my ass,” you tease him. “It was a lovely date you took me on yesterday though.”
“Yes, it was,” Heizou replies, shaking his head with a smile. “Can you get me some chicken?”
“Of course,” you kiss his cheek and step out of the apartment. “I’ll get you anything you want.”
bro really got turned on from making out 💀
