cain is like soooo funny bc how was he supposed to know that hitting your brother with a big ass rock kills him? everyone with a brother has had that urge but at least we have the privilege of knowing that he might die if we do that. nobody fucking told that poor guy what "dying" or "a severely fractured skull" even were. bruh just didnt know in my mind

supernatural movie reboot but its a ghostfacers mockumentary about their attempt to make a “serious film” about sam and dean winchester. opens on ed and harry going “CUT!” and the camera pans to a guy that looks kind of like jared padalecki pulling off a party city wig. turns out the finale was actually part of the ghostfacer’s retelling of supernatural. Sam Dean and Castiel spend the entire movie chasing after ed and harry trying to stop the thing being made. (its a huge commercial success and they screen it at the destiel wedding)

missy doesn’t understand that she’s in the wrong genre. she believes she’s in a darkly alluring gothic romance instead of an optimistic sci-fi show. in her genre, gifting your estranged ex/enemy/lover/best friend/twin flame an indestructible undead army to prove to him that your will to power is identical is the most romantic gesture imaginable. it’s victory via surrender, it’s control through abdication. all her scheming to “corrupt” him, to demonstrate that they’re the same deep down, that his sanctimonious morality is nothing but a method of keeping his own conscience clean, that’s the hannibal gene, the lestat gene (*obviously the dynamics aren’t 1-to-1 similar, but… close enough) and missy’s tragedy in death in heaven is in that, within the narrative format she’s trapped in, she can never succeed

I had died with all of my friends, and we were standing at the gate of heaven talking to God. And my best friend told God that she knew this was gonna happen but the rest of us wouldn’t listen to her warnings and God sighed and responded with, “You lesbians and your visions of the future.”

Danny is an immortal being, forever stuck in the form of a teenager. As such, he never really “grows up.” This leads to many shenanigans, one of which involves him faking his own death at the slightest inconvenience. Most of the time, people don’t really notice.
Batman suddenly showing up at his front door, his arms full of files filled with information from his “past lives” is the first thing in a long time that Danny can’t simply die to get out of.

sue me for this but xie lian is such an unreliable narrator. Not because his perspective is messy like wwx, or that his memory is a little bad, oh nooo. But because this guy lies to everyone so hard he lies in his own narrative. Book one he's like "yeah I know a whole bunch about fangxin randomly, I used to collect scraps in banyue haha" and book two he literally goes "oh yes lang qianqiu I stabbed your father in the fucking heart out of pure vengeance, actually I stabbed your entire family in the heart. Every last damn throat? Cut by me. You think you can fight me and win? Boy, I was one member away from bringing down your whole ass dynasty in a single night and that member is you, do you honestly think you're any match for me?"
...why. why so unhinged.
