I think, after their partnership in chain of gold, it would have been cool to see grace and lucie as parabatai. I think grace understood lucie and her power in a way no one else did. I really don't like she and cordelia being parabatai, I don't think it makes sense or that the relationship was well built. Even if not parabatai, I would have liked to see grace and lucie as friends.

See, I don't really mind Cordelia and Lucie as parabatai, but I do agree that the way the conflicts in their relationship were handled and solved weren't ideal, but that's a problem with the whole book, to be fair.

Now... Lucie and Grace as parabatai? That would be such a banger duo 👀 Making an AU in my head as we speak /hj

I liked their dynamic in CoI too, but unfortunately I figured it could only last so long because of the situation with James. I can't fault Lucy for siding with hee brother on this, he got terribly hurt by Grace, no matter the reasons.

If we didn't have that as an obstacle, I think they would have a very interesting friendship! They're not at all alike, but isn't that what makes it fun? Lucy, ever the optimist, to the point of being naive, and Grace, who has seen the hardships of the world and approaches it with harsh realism. They could help each other see things in different ways and grow, while keeping true to their core still.

I'm also laughing a bit imagining them as parabatai in a fight. Picture this: these two girls, short and dainty looking, completely destroying a group of demons on their own because they are vicious in a fight. You wouldn't expect that from the writer and the scientist. But they make quick work of the demons and then look at each other in silence for five seconds flat, ichor all over their clothes and hair, and suddenly you see them smile at each other.

I just... I'm having a moment here.

My friend, under no influence, dictated the true history of DJ Khaled to me.

Khaled who is immortal, trained with monks for hundreds of years in Nepal They lived for a long time but not forever Khaled knows all sorts of martial arts, he hung out with Gengis Khan, Once DJ Khaled took an axe to the back and they thought he was dead so they were going to bury him but he dove into his belly Kahn wanted to gain his power but Khaled wouldn't give it, Khan imprisoned him and killed him every day trying to learn his power but Khaled escapes after learning their tactics. Without a proper leader they are never able to surpass the great wall of china and ultimately lose the war cut to 1000 years later Bieber was mad cuz dj khaled and flo rida had a show the same night Biebers body guard jokes that they should kill Khaled haha but bieber wants to for real next morning body guard finds his gun is missing, turns out his gun is missing, Bieber goes to flo ridas house kicks in the door and kills flo rida really cool dj khaled hides in the kitchen and shoots khaled in the head twice but before he dies khaled dives into his own belly he comes after Bieber who is now out of bullets but Bieber escapes cuz khaled is fat Bieber now has to tell people about khaled but any time he tries khaled shows up and prevents him In Khaled's minds eye he can see anyone who knows he is immortal, it's not just a symbolic mark, upon knowing the fact a person receives a physical mark which all immortals can see and Khaled then seeks you out to kill you Khaled wrestled under the name The Great Khaled. Khaled fought with the Turks in the Napoleonic wars. After the Battle Of Waterloo afterwards Khaled was the one who said they should exile and not kill Napoleon Khaled does not gain or lose weight, he has had the same mass for millennia. King Arthur's search for the Holy Grail was actually for Khaled, Khaled IS the Holy Grail and Khaled joined Arthur on the quest, knowing full well that HE was the grail. Dj khaled was created in Atlantis and they put the embodiment of the city into him, their fortune tellers knew that the city was going down and wanted him to carry on their legacy Khaled had a thing against poop, that's why he overthrew the poo dynasty. that's also why he won't go down on people, he was going down on emperor poo ping's daughter, he pulled down her panties and she had a poo pussy. He was upset and began collaborating with Genghis Khan to overthrow the poo dynasty. Poo ping stabbed Khaled in the heart and Khaled decapitated Ping. Thinking he was dead Khan was going to ceremonially bury Khaled at the site but he dove into his own belly and regenerated. That's how Khan found out Khaled is immortal. Steevie Nix gave Khaled a handjob, it was her last. They were talking about future games when they were writing it. Khaled asked for another HJ, he asked repeatedly to her annoyance. The green oval (1) shows up and tells them how to fix it and Khaled goes berserk, the fight that ensues is what causes Atlantis to sink at a faster rate. paula deen is made of entirely of butter, she can be thing she wishes, she wishes paula deen The video game dynasty warriors was supposed to be about the poo dynasty but khaled wouldn't allow it. they were like halfway done and he showed up and said no, you're not allowed. The game then became about the three kingdoms there was a 4th kingdom that was the poo dynasty. (1) The Green Oval is another character created by this same friend

yes. it's a rackam scene -- when isn't it about rackam with me -- but there's also a lot of really good scenes in the main story of granblue that are SO GOOD. Top main story moments have been the scene where the main cast gets to unlock a special power through the magic of friendship (/hj) and Oh Fuck We Lost Rackam and He's Evil Now?

granblue has an INCREDIBLE ost, both for the original mobile game and GBVS, the fighting game - there's lots of really good songs, but I personally love What Makes the Sky Blue from the Promise soundtrack! (link)

I would argue that granblue has TOO many fun facts, but my personal favorites are:

granblue fantasy being the gacha game to first implement a pity system for their gacha AND set the standard for all gacha games to have a pity system because someone spent like,,, $5,000 USD on it

A member of the staff at cygames had to suck a dick for a character to get a 5 star uncap (unsure if true, but its SO funny)

Appreciation post for the eggpire and more during the red banquet cause I'm not seeing enough love for how well they organized and delivered and because I'm so proud of cc!Bad for how far the Bloodvines arc has gone ♥ (this stuff is from Bad's vod btw)

Also something to cheer people up a bit in case the lore got u hard like it got me cause I'm still not okay bestie <3

The starting soon screen being an animation (with glitches to show another frame!!) plus the jazzy electro-swing soundtrack underneath. Just such a good intro, I felt like I was actually in the waiting line for an event, just awesome.

(hi, it’s me again pretending as if i didn’t go on an unannounced hiatus).

yes, i’m back...for now. i’m not sure for how long. as i’m too busy these days, but i wanted to specifically make this post because it’s been bothering me for a while now. someone mentioned this in the woosan tag as well, but it’s...

non-atiny’s(and some anti-shipping atiny) who constantly feel the need to expose woosan as some cleverly put together ship that was carefully manufactured by the company. i’ve seen so many titles on youtube and posts on twitter saying how:

“woosan is obvious fanservice” and “woosan; a prime example of queerbating in kpop”

i’ve never seen a ship be so criticized for being ‘out there’ and ‘in your face’. i’ve made a post on fanservice before but this post will mainly be focused on why i think it’s completely unfair, dishonest, homophobic, and antagonistic to view their relationship as manufactured and fake. and before you go, ‘i’m sure they’re good friends but all that other stuff is clearly done by the company.’ and don’t get me wrong, bc kq is very much aware of the ships and do try to profit off of fanservice...like every other company. but the clearest indicator of this not being MOSTLY all fanservice is something i’ve mentioned many times before.

1. the rest of the ships in ateez not being anywhere near the intimacy and skinship as woosan.

2. body language.

3. the members THEMSELVES explaining their dynamics.

4. kq not FORCING ships.

ever since predebut and debut there’s ALWAYS been three main ships in ateez. seongjoong, yungi, and ofc woosan.

as you could see, woosan was definitely thee most popular ship. however, i do believe their popularity grew over time because during the early era i’m sure seongjoong dominated, even on fanfic sites they dominate the amount of fanfics written about them. however, woosan’s clear comfort and intimacy with each other made them more popular among atiny’s and even non atiny’s they even had some taekookers saying their ship was realer and that’s saying something xD.

something people really, no i mean REALLY need to understand is...doing fanservice does not invalidate an entire relationship.

there are plenty of celeb couples who enjoy publicly dating and showing affection.

then comes the argument of well, “if they were real they wouldn’t be so obvious about it.”

this statement bothers me because, people who believe that showing too much skinship is fanservice but then they’ll turn around and say at the same time it’s just culture???

it’s fair to see them doing their fake love dance routine and going THAT’S FANSERVICE. but looking at those moments and going ‘nah, their entire friendship gotta be fanservice.’ is delusional to me, as u like to call us shippers.

even if you do not ship them romantically, it’s odd to me that people see two same-sex idols expressing comfortability, intimacy and skinship together and feel like if they’re too open about it or if it looks too gay then it’s....fake? even tho fans love to say it’s just apart of their culture. but if it gets too gay, then it’s fanservice.

i can’t. xD

just because they’re completely comfortable with being intimate doesn’t mean they’re being forced to act that way...it literally just means they ARE that way.

i constantly put emphasis on being comfortable with skinship and intimacy bc, to me that’s just not something the company can force. body language is a reaction from your true emotions and your inner most thoughts. IT IS THE FOUNDATION TO FIGURING OUT WHAT A PERSON TRULY FEELS INSIDE AS THEIR EMOTIONS WILL ALWAYS TRANSLATE THROUGH THEIR BODY. if u are uncomfortable it will be revealed through body language. and i know a ton of seongjoong shippers are gonna hate me for this, but they are a prime example of this. trust me i’m not here to start a ship war, i am purely just using them as an example of discomfort in body language.

body language is something a company cannot control.

seongjoong show definite signs of being uncomfortable with intimacy, heck shippers use that one moment seonghwa expressed sadness bc hj hugged the other members and not him as a shipping moment lol. but even when they do hug it looks uncomfortable. my guess is bc hj is not good at expressing his feelings and isn’t a touchy person. and even tho seonghwa is comfortable with skinship, it’s understandable that it can become uncomfortable for him bc of the things i mentioned before as well as the power dynamics and age difference between them.

and here i am going to be stoned bc, i have more to say about seongjoong(don’t kill me).

bc something the company also can’t control is what OR who the members hang out with OUTSIDE of group activities. so that’s why i’m also mentioning that i also don’t think seongjoong is as close as shippers think they are as...seonghwa mostly hangs out with woosan. and it is almost always mentioned how often woosan hang out together off camera. even early on. woosan hung out so much that it literally came to a point where yeosang felt like his bestfriend was taken from him.

can we mention again how happy that makes san? and let’s not forget the moment woo said seonghwa was into him, but san was like. ‘you’re into me tho’ and they BOTH tried to gloss over that.

lol. people love to say how much san’s whipped for woo, but woo’s probably even more whipped.

we can even talk about a more recent moment. the ateez debate about mint chocolate. dunno what’s with these kpop idols debating about mint choco ‘cause bts did it too. lol. anyway, they ended up talking about the group dynamics. and how woosan again are always together.

i-i’m sorry, but does moment remind y’all of a past moment? LMFAO. seonghwa’s feeling yeosang’s pain.

seonghwa’s just like woosan says they’re tired of each other but can’t detach themselves. and here’s more evidence that the company isn’t forcing them. for those who thinks kq has some masterplan when it comes to promoting ships.

when they talk about their dynamics, jongho says he feels left out but hj exposes him and says, ‘we’ve tried to pair him with someone but he(jongho) just doesn’t do it’

so this just solidifies my statement from earlier, if the members don’t wanna promote a ship. they ain’t gonna do it. we got one or two vlives from twoho and das it. lmfao. don’t get me wrong. i’m sure jongho get along well with yunho as well as the other members, but promoting any of the other ships in ateez like woosan isn’t gonna work well. ‘cause the rest of the members don’t have the same dynamics. woosan are comfortable with skinship and being intimate with each other and the other members just are not.

another piece of evidence is the members tired reaction whenever woosan is mentioned. lmfao.

this was so dramatic omg. but the members reactions are very telling of woosan’s relationship off screen. if woosan was just fanservice i do not believe the members would react the way they do, maybe share some knowing glances at each other like. ‘pfft, they think woosan’s real’ but their reactions are always big or very indicative of something bigger happening behind the scenes. lol.

i’m not gonna go into too much details, bc the members reactions to woosan are an entirely different post(i got so many posts to make. xD).

Lastly Wooyoung’s Tatto. I know right? He’s very committed to fanservice guys.

Amicus ad Aras is something that woosan made to signify their friendship, and the fact woo got a tattoo on his body of it means a lot. not to mention woo himself taking initiative to find something that represented their relationship.

i feel like i need to reiterate that the meaning of this tattoo was to define his relationship to san specifically so it applies to san specifically. woo has many MANY friends AS WELL as bestfriends yet he got a tattoo that can only be truly applied to san and no one else.

u can continue saying theyy’re just good friends doing fanservice, but it’s obv that woo has many good friends. so the next question u gotta answer is what separates san from the others.

Lizzie was incredible- a fact that Jimmy thought was utterly undeniable. She was strong, clever, and kind- and Jimmy admired her for it, loved her for it.

She was fiercely protective of him, and her teasing never strayed into the realm of cruel- and Jimmy wished he knew how to tell her how much he appreciated it, appreciated her.

There was no shared blood between them. They were both waterfolk- that much was true. But Lizzie was of the sea- powerful and mighty, whose fingertips could guide and summon waves taller than her castle. Jimmy was of the swamp, and half human at that. The waters of his swamp did not bend to his will, and he could still drown near as easy as any normal human.

It kept him up at night sometimes, the differences between them, and how he could ever think himself worthy of her company, of her love, of her.

And it was because of that that he denied every time "sister" nearly fell from his lips.

When Joel had told him that him and Lizzie were getting married-and Jimmy's first thought was that his best friend was marrying his sister, and how happy he was for them.

It kept him silent when Lizzie had laughed so hard she cried after one of his (admittedly stupid) jokes and told him just how awful he was- and Jimmy had quite nearly said it was his job as her brother to be awful.

It was stupid, he thought- to think that she could ever feel the same, could ever love him back in that way. And it would be even stupider to risk the amazing friendship they already had just to tell her and probably make her uncomfortable. He would never call her sister, not when it risked hurting her.

Soniaki headcanons!

-Sonia likes drawing in her free time, and Chiaki likes writing. They both have ocs and everything and make content for each other all the time.

-Pretty soon after they start living together, they decide to have Gundham help them find a pet. Their first pet is a cat named Hades, and they both love him.

-After Hades, they rarely go without having a pet. Usually cats, but Gundham probably matches animals with people based on vibe alone. There’s a few dogs and some Deva Descendents and they both love them all so much.

-I feel like… They’d adopt One Kid. Just one of em. In my heart I think they’d be good moms. That kid would have so many options of skills to pursue and almost all of them will have support from at least one parent.

-I think maybe Sonia needs glasses but doesn’t usually wear them because she feels they clash with her Princess Regal Vibe. Chiaki thinks they’re very cute though so she wears them around the house.

-Sonia’s wardrobe for a long time I think was Very Formal and Presentational, so she just LOVES borrowing Chiaki’s more comfy and casual sweaters and hoodies and stuff. Chiaki gets her some of her own, but Chiaki’s are just so much warmer :).

-In a similar vein, Chiaki isn’t Big Into fancy stuff. She has maybe one dress she wears to every formal event ever, but as soon as they start dating, Sonia spoils her rotten.

-Among Sonia’s many other skills, I feel like she probably can sew a bit. Catch her embroidering little cats or sewing little ears on half of Chiaki’s thing because sometimes your girlfriend is a catgirl and you love her for it.

-Sonia’s primary love language is actually physical affection, but gift giving is definitely a big one too. The second just is more obvious because it’s very easy for her. Helping Chiaki put on a dress she bought for her, or doing her hair after Chiaki used some new shampoo she got, or just cuddling together in brand new fuzzy pjs is some of the most tender shit she can do.

-Chiaki’s primary love language is quality time, but physical affection is also one. She‘s more lowkey about it than Sonia, but only because she feels a lot about smaller gestures. Her ideal date is her playing a game and Sonia reading while laying on her lap, or them watching a movie and leaning on each other, or just laying in silence holding hands and talking about nothing.

-Sonia always makes time for Chiaki. And though Chiaki isn’t as fuckin LOADED as Sonia, Chiaki loves getting things that remind her of Sonia.

-ALSO catch them trying to Date in Digital Chiaki Au and both of em just being. Lowkey a little sad because even though they can spend time together, they can’t hold each other and Sonia feels like she can’t do anything for Chiaki. Cue Chiaki doing literally everything she can to turn this Au into Robot Chiaki. Even if it’s not the same, she wants Sonia to feel good about who they are together. She wants her to know how much she really does for her. Then they kiss and it’s wonderful.

-Chiaki canonically has trouble with romance, but Sonia very clearly has very few issues with it, so I don’t imagine the SECRET pining stage goes on too long. I think Sonia approached Chiaki about it fairly soon after she starts developing Feelings, but Chiaki doesn’t really know how to handle it, so they go a while as Technically Just Friends until Chiaki can get her own feelings sorted out

-Also pre-relationship catch Gundham ”admitting you are as powerful as me and shaking my hand is stage 5 in a friendship” Tanaka listening to Sonia lowkey gush about Chiaki like, “Wow. Are you getting married?“ And Hajime “my boyfriend has literally not shut up about how in love he is with me since we met“ Hinata hearing Chiaki mention Sonia a few times like, ”…omg Chiaki you’re gay also??/hj”

mmmmhmm these two would definitely be the best cat moms,,, they would spoil hades SILLY. sonia would get him a giant cat castle, he'd have the softest cat bed (but in true cat fashion, the bed would go unused in favor of a cardboard box), she'd get him toys galore, they'd both like to dress him occasionally with a cute bowtie or smth, and they'd both give him lots of kisses and cuddlesssssaksjdasfd

i dunno if ppl on here make dsmp!ocs for themselves outside art but here’s my long list of headcannons?? idk what to call this, but assume all names have c! before it ofc :]

,, this is kinda messy & probably has a lot of plot holes but i just needed a space to write out all my thoughts LOL

character origin :

previous life was the l’mantree :D

allegedly planted by schlatt, we will never know who’s my canonical parent(s)

reborn as a dryad after niki burns the l’mantree

i think being a dryad would fit especially since they’re typically nymphs of oak trees :]

appearance :

my character’s mc skin has long light brown hair & is seen wearing a flower crown with petals that are around the color of a pale violet and navy blue

clothing would consist of black shoes & a long light grey sweater that falls down to the legs and covers most of the hands which adorned with 2 black stripes on the upper arms

lore / history :

since my past life was the l’mantree, i would’ve known the ins and outs of the history when l’manburg was still standing, up until niki burned the tree

after witnessing everything, i’d hold a grudge on niki (+ allies?) and loyal to wilbur since he’s the whole person that made a meaning of the land of l’manburg

however i’d still be on edge w any side because i could sympathize with everyone to some extent after seeing some sort of distress from everyone at some point

i think seeing both sides of the spectrum when l’manburg/manburg still stood could change my perspective of some other characters

but at the same time, not everything was completely centered in l’manburg so i wouldn’t know the whole story of everyone’s character

i’m currently writing this just after tommy has left the prison & mostly everyone is treating him differently, so i’d try to befriend him by not showing that i dont care about his past & trauma but also not being fully faithful about our friendship ahaha,,,

he seems like the type that needs someone to see through his past history but tommy would definitely disapprove of my character visiting dream at the prison (i would do it anyway :))

vowing my current life to wilbur, i would help dream escape to revive wilbur & follow along with their plans of chaos

i don’t fully support dream but he is the only way to wilbur, making me comply with dream’s decisions

“growing up” in my past life and witnessing endless conflict, it is the only thing i know and understand; chaos

but i think during the process of helping dream & wilbur i’d keep my connection with them secret, being the person to obtain all the inside information they need

i could see myself as a type of equilibrium like ranboo but in a bad way, i don’t know how to explain it

but i would try befriending ranboo since he seems like he is involved in many things and would know a lot, despite his short term memory

unfortunately i’m not sure how much his character actually knows since i haven’t been able to watch his pov that much but i’m sure there’s a lot in his memory book...

to blend in as a normal person within the rest of the characters, i’d surround myself with connor a lot

not only because he needs more lore, connor is one of the “normal” citizens of the smp so i believe being with him doesn’t bring as much attention to myself, unlike people that’s related to the egg and their noticeable features after associating themselves with the egg

he is currently only on bad terms with techno which is rly good when comparing that to other characters and their relationships with other people

connor could probably sense my real intentions eventually & tell everyone else that i’m not who i say i am but if that’s my flaw & my downfall is caused by connor, so be it! sorry dream & wilbur

i feel like for being a young dryad, i’d still fool around with dream/wilbur & help give tommy an small “advantage” to defeating the two ?

like yes i’m supposed to be on your side but where’s the fun if tommy can’t do anything to begin with?

i honestly don’t know if wilbur was revived he’d actually be his vassal but let’s assume that happens, but either way i’m with wilbur on his decisions

but ya dream seems like the type to punish me for helping tommy and send me to the afterlife to learn & become smarter like wilbur had done or smth

in the end, i just want to give tommy bits and pieces that tease him from ending all the wars and problems he has been faced with

like here’s some info about dream and wilbur but it won’t be no where close to enough

but who knows, ghostbur said ‘villains are just heroes that aren’t convinced yet’ & maybe tommy could eventually grow on me & change my ways,,

maybe me fooling around & teasing tommy with answers he’s been searching for is a way to mask that i want to be a good person

ok but imagine after knowing so much about dream/wilbur, the revive book, & the afterlife & then i switch sides,,,

surely if tommy can’t put and end to them, dream would make sure i’m gone for good instead

but also if me & connor are in good terms & he’s canonically a necromancer & can bring ppl back to life,,,,

personality :

to all besides dream & wilbur, i’d try to act passive and friendly on the outside to get on everyone’s good side

however under the mask i am more mischievous & strive to cause more problems for everyone on the server from the inside out

in a way, i’ve taken up some of dream’s manipulative personality but still very understanding

i’d like to think of my character as a good listener,, trying to do less talking than others so i do not open up about my true self and intentions

i’ve seen rumors about schlatt & mexican dream also being revived along with wilbur & i feel like i’d have some soft spot for schlatt & pick up a few things from his own character, not sure what though

schlatt planted l’mantree theory, dad!schlatt au part 2 !! /j

because of my character’s closed off and quiet personality, i feel like i’d be pretty analytical

i would know how to slip between the cracks with some characters & notice the smallest things to make them question themselves

maybe my character is good at holding their composure, and not that susceptible to being “emotional” in a way so it’s easier to face people

like i understand when a situation is sad, etc but i can’t show emotion towards how i feel about it (i don’t know if that makes sense but ya!)

i wanna try to elaborate more,, like imagine my character before tommy visits the prison, i would be unfazed from when i found out he died to the point he’s released and we find out he’s been revived

everything is a constant blur hehe

i just can’t fully process everything i guess? i dunno if that’s helpful but yeah!

in the end though, my moral compass has been very tainted; despite wanting to show my loyalty, it can be slightly easy to sway me, making me internally feel guilty to other people

but me trying to get on everyone’s good side to impress wilbur/dream to seem useful to them would ruin me before i would even realize that i’m another “pawn”

we know damn well dream is faking it till he “makes it” but yk,,

but i’d be stuck in this kind of dilemma of not knowing what thoughts are my own or just something trickled down from wilbur or dream

there’s like maybe something that clicks in my head like “maybe i wanna think for myself for once” or smth

like who am i really?

powers , bonuses , etc :

since dryads can technically manipulate plants in some ways, theoretically i could control the blood vines to some extent ???

i’m pretty sure dryads can communicate with plants so i could understand what the blood vines are saying as well

i guess similar to ranboo like how he can’t really be around water without some type of amour or something, it would make sense for me to primarily reside in a type a forest or be near one ?? who knows

seems a bit morbid in a way because of the whole history but if i can somehow easily get rid of the blood vines without it affecting me (if there is still some there) i think it would be kinda pretty to build a tree base in the middle of the l’manburg crator (iskall tease)

like it can show a sign of some rebirth, not the same government repeated once again but a new era in general

you know how you see like destruction years after it the disaster or smth happened and it gets all overgrown with plants and stuff? ya that’s what i’m going for in my head (mumbo jumbo s7 tease)

i honestly dunno how to incorporate the fact dryads can turn shapeshift into trees when trying to escape something but i read something that if a dryad stays in a tree form for too long they’ll forget who they are and stay stuck as a tree?? which like woah that’s cool & some material but at the same time what—

i feel like my character would be really into history, like they would have questions about what happened to lmanburg after the last war? what was life like before wilbur? what was the whole history about the antarctic empire? i dunno but reading a bunch of books from a library seems really interesting

oh but in theory, me and tubbo are loosely related if you wanna count schlatt as my “dad” because he supposedly planted the lmantree ???

i mean could make sense but it seems like a stretch

also if my character ever got close to schlatt, i’m not sure if this is canon, but i swear one time he mentioned how the whole dsmp sever is just a game/server in a game & he’s the only one that knows that ??? but like imagine if i found that out canonically,,,,,

How about Logan?

Buckle up, friends, this one got a little long. (Thank you @impossiblysporadiccreation for the ask! Always happy for an excuse to talk about Logan, lol.)

+ FIRST IMPRESSION: Gosh, it’s been so long since I started watching the series; I honestly don’t remember my first impression? Probably something to the tune of “This man is very smart and he wears a necktie; good for him.”

+ IMPRESSION NOW: The one John Mulaney gif that’s just “I’ll keep all my emotions right here, and then one day, I’ll die.”

If you keep up with my blog, it’s probably no shock that Logan is my favorite character in Sanders Sides. I relate to his difficulty with feelings, as well as his high expectations for himself and his fear of not being taken seriously. I love how flawed and human he is as a character; I love the glimpses of vulnerability underneath all the self-assured confidence and (sometimes) arrogance about his own abilities.

tl;dr I love Logan very much, both for his strengths and his flaws, and I’m very excited to see him grow as a character in future episodes. (I have a meta piece that discusses this in more depth if anyone is interested; I wrote it a while ago but I’m still proud of it.)

+ FAVORITE MOMENT: Too many to choose from, but I’ll always love his “That! Is! Why! I! Say! It!” in Dealing with Intrusive Thoughts; he sounds so vindicated and I’m so proud of him.

In the angst category, I’m a sucker for the look of absolute horror on his face after he lashes out at Roman in Learning New Things About Ourselves. It’s one of the few times in the show where we’ve seen him genuinely frightened, and he’s frightened of himself, and I’m not okay.

+ IDEA FOR A STORY: *stares at my mountain of in-progress Google Docs* Okay, so I may need you to be a bit more specific...? /hj

*reaches into the stack and pulls one out at random* Can I interest you in uhhhhhhh a canonverse fic where Janus and Remus invite Logan and Patton over after the events of Putting Others First, but everyone has wildly different motives for being there? Patton wants to prove he can be nice to the “dark sides” (particularly Remus), Logan wants to clear the figurative air and get Thomas’s mental health back on track, Remus just wants chaos, and Janus... well, he’s got an ethically dubious strategy for getting everyone’s issues out in the open. Step One? A friendly icebreaker, with a not-quite-so-friendly twist:

“Janus made his own snakey truth serum!” Remus exclaimed, grin stretching (very literally and very uncomfortably) from ear to ear.

“Thank you, Remus. I definitely wasn’t building toward my own dramatic reveal, so I appreciate you blurting it out with your usual lack of self-restraint.”

“You’re welcome!”

“Actually, ‘truth serum,’ at least as it is commonly represented in fictional media, does not exist,” Logan said. “While there are psychoactive drugs which can lower inhibitions and interfere with cognitive functions, none of them have been demonstrated to consistently produce accurate and honest responses in an interrogation setting.”

“That may be true,” Janus said, “but fortunately for us, we are not constrained by silly little things like scientific accuracy, as evidenced by the fact that Logan is unkillable, I’m part snake, and Remus has a moustache even though Thomas has never in his life been able to successfully grow facial hair.”

“Oh, this?” Remus tugged at the tip of his moustache. “I actually super-glued this to my face when Thomas was in middle school. It’s made of my own —”

“Regardlessss,” Janus hissed, “here in the world of Thomas’s Hollywood-inundated imagination, the synthesis of a so-called ‘truth serum’ is hardly beyond my abilities. So can we stop debating the plausibility of my very elegantly styled plot device, and —”

Abruptly, Remus snatched the fancy cup out of Janus’s hand. “Jan’s right! Enough chit-chat; it’s time for some enhanced interrogation techniques in the name of...” He giggled, high-pitched and screechy in a way that made Patton’s skin crawl. “...friendship.”

+ UNPOPULAR OPINION: Hot take, Logan’s biggest obstacle right now isn’t that the others don’t listen to him, or that they don’t take him seriously; it’s that he’s staked his sense of self on being The One Who Has The Answers and Never Makes Mistakes.

Logan needs people to take him seriously, yes, but he also needs to know that he can be taken seriously without always needing to be serious. He needs to be listened to, but he also needs to know that he’s still loved and valued even when he’s not fixing problems and providing crucial information. Just like Roman, Logan needs the security of unconditional positive regard, so he doesn’t feel like he always has to perform to a certain standard in order to earn appreciation and respect.

(Disclaimer, all of this is my personal opinion, and certainly not the only valid interpretation! This is just my take based on what we’ve seen of his character throughout the series.)

+ FAVORITE RELATIONSHIP: I don’t think I have a favorite, per se, so I’m just gonna do a list of the main Logan ships/dynamics and what I enjoy about them.

Logince: The sheer romance of enemies to lovers. Two incredibly intelligent, passionate people who know exactly how to tear each other apart, but ultimately come to a place where they choose to be gentle, because they understand each other’s fears and insecurities on a fundamental level.

Logicality: Lifelong best friend energy. Like, the epitome of an old married couple, but in a platonic way. (I’m not opposed to shipping them, by any means, but platonic Logicality is my figurative bread and butter.)

Analogical: Introverts who are just? Really comfortable with each other? Not necessarily a super emotive relationship, but it doesn’t have to be, because the cornerstone of their friendship is an unspoken bedrock of trust.

Loceit: Rivals to friends to (maybe?) lovers. Long, heated arguments about philosophy; there’s a lot of posturing and taunting but privately they both love having someone smart enough to debate them in an area of shared interest. Everything about their dynamic screams “my esteemed rival” and I love it.

Intrulogical: Mad science power couple. Enough said.

+ FAVORITE HEADCANON: With regard to memory, Logan seems to be responsible for Thomas’s factual recall, while Patton (as we see in Moving On) handles emotional connections to memories. I like the idea that Logan doesn’t experience those same emotional associations when looking back on the past, which is part of why the whole concept of nostalgia is so foreign to him, and why he struggles with identifying and naming his feelings.

So, uh. It's 3 am and I have come after reading the rest of Anomaly in one sitting. So ideas are not ordered at all

I am tearing uppp ;-; idk where to begin,, just everything was so right aaaa

I really liked Mako's character development and the relationships with other characters :)) Kurama was obvious, but it didn't make it worse in any way, I am very soft for the two. Yusuke is another obvious, but by far my favourite platonic dynamic, more so at the last chapters (I will get onto those in another paragraph) they tease the hell of each other, share hardships and are there for each other in happy moments too,, I really really loved their interactions! As for Hiei, not too much of mushy things (obviously, but I really liked how low-key was their friendship(? acquaintance (?? they are in the middle of the two words, enough to have Hiei on character). The one I didn't expect was the Kuwabara-Makoto friendship? Like, I read how they were awkward in Shiori's wedding (queen) but I feel it was really natural, like when you are at the beginning of a friendship and still don't know how to make conversation,, and the next chapters only enforced that :)) it made me very happy somehow!

As for the girls, I have a lot of things to say! They were so funny in the DT arc and you captured their character so well during and after it, I felt it was impossible for Makoto to stay away completely. I feel that if they were real they would be the type of people who just suck others into their orbit without being overbearing, and they made such a nice mix! Of course with their differences and not too close (like Fumi and Mako, for example!) but just enough to feel good while reading their interactions ♡

About Fumi's decision to swore off men, you go girl it's best choice lmao and for Chizuru, damn jealous

The last two chapters were too much for my poor heart, it was beating like crazy while I was laughing. Chapter 25 is such a Mess™ (plot-like I mean, poor Mako can't have a rest) and it was in tune with the anime/manga Mess™ also accidental marriage proposal + accidental confession? Sign me up. The chapter I enjoyed the most by far and that is saying a lot because there isn't a single chapter I haven't enjoyed. But that sweet scene between Mako and Kurama when he appears in chapter 26 and the proposal to go to Makai together? That made me mush and melt in my bed. Repeatedly. I have not simped so hard for a pairing like them.

Honorable mentions: 1. Mako being petty as hell is my new religion and I shall follow through. The fox plushy. I will never forget. Also, reminding your half-boyfriend he stood you up/making puns about stolen things AND nagging him because he cannot end a fight without needing a hospital? True gf material/j

2. The part when mako went to Kyoto again & the encounter with the fox demon and the will-o-wisp is one of my favorite scenes too. I don't know why, it just is.

3. I live for Doraemon crumbs. I love the cat.

I don't think I have anymore to say for now JAJAJA if I remember anything I will come back, but for now I will go cry into my bed because there isn't more Mako&Kurama-- /hj

I woke up in the middle of the night, saw this at 4 AM and proceeded to fall unconscious again.

Writing Kurama’s relationship with Mako was fun because there’s this person in a very similar situation to him but with a ridiculous age gap and a totally different outlook on life, and I like that what sparked the whole thing was that both thought that the other was really fucking weird and they wanted to know more. I seriously didn’t know how the thing was going to pan out. I feel like Anomaly wrote itself and the characters held the wheel the whole time. As I said, same applies to Yusuke. I thought Mako would dismiss him as an idiot and he’d avoid her because of her personality, but Yusuke’s such an open person and Mako’s so unused to not being judged that they just. Clicked. (This is canon btw: after Anomaly, Yusuke’s roping Mako into helping with his Spirit Detective-lite cases in exchange for ramen. He did it at first when he was stumped and Kurama wasn’t available, but now he does it whenever he feels like it because he relishes in knowing he has the power to summon her from the mountains. She complains all the time but goes anyway.) I was a little sad that in the end Hiei didn’t show up much in the fic because he didn’t cross paths with Mako many times. I think they have this sort of distant respect for one another and they’re like, this is not the first nor second person I would go to for help, but if shit hits the fan the other’s going to be there and that’s what matters. Hiei’s opinion of Makoto hinged on Kurama’s (“I respect this guy and he seems to respect her”) and Yukina’s (“they get along”) own impression of her. Yes to the observation about her and Kuwabara! They’re still learning how to talk to each other. But they’re trying! Look at them fumbling their way through a social situation!

Makoto was a fool for even thinking she could escape the grasp of the other girls. She’s one of them now, whether she likes it or not, and I like how clear that was when she was all worried about Yusuke possibly dying again and asked Atsuko for a hug, and Atsuko just jumped at the opportunity. This is her kid too. She didn’t know what to do with the first kid, much less a second, but she’s going to take her anyway.

Fumi/Shizuru is the true power couple of the fic and it happens in the background because otherwise they’d take over the story.

I was so unsure about those extra chapters. I’m always afraid to touch Anomaly because I think I finished it the best way possible and I’m terrified of messing it up by adding more to it. I wish I had the drive right now to work on the sequel(s) and other extra chapters I had in mind, but for now and as long I’m lost in the Grand Line, I’m satisfied that you find it satisfying. <3

1. Hey, Kurama’s a little shit, so if he can dish it, he can take it. This is a balanced relationship.

2. I loved writing that part! Everything is told from Makoto’s perspective, but this was purely her part of the story, not Yusuke’s, and it shows in the general feel of the chapter. I don’t know how to say it, but it’s very Mako? She has a way to look at creepy and make it feel natural instead of scary.

3. Look. Mako picks up on other people’s thoughts and feelings, not hers. This cat loves her so much that little Mako got a vision from him before they met, that's why she knew where to find him. He trips her all the time but that's because he's a tsundere. Can’t let her go soft.

(The longer she knew him, the less she knew how to tell him that, so her crush remained embarrassingly large and embarrassingly impotent.

She... she was working on it.)

But the point was, being sort-of friends with Adrien throughout the whole of lycée was interesting because she got to see the slow progress of Adrien gaining confidence.

When he'd first started coming to school, he was shy.

Very shy.

It hadn't been something she'd realized at the time, but looking back, he'd faded into the background unless he was called out. He never spoke out against anyone without being extremely pressed, and even then only Chloé was able to push his buttons that bad. The only person he'd initiated contact with was Nino.

It had emphasized how polite he was, how selflessly kind he was, but it also kept him at an arm's length from just about everyone. Marinette's picture of him was pieced through the lens of her crush, the little moments where he was kind and understanding and gentle, and through the copious number of modelling ads that moved from her favorite magazines to her walls.

He played piano and basketball, he fenced, he volunteered at animal shelters, and... that was all she knew. For the whole first year of lycée she was able to recite his schedule off the top of her head at any given moment, but she hadn't known how he felt about any of them.

It was funny to think about now, but she'd spent all her time learning everything she could about him... and in the end, knew absolutely nothing about him.

Thankfully, that started to change by the end of seconde year, and she was pretty sure she had Nino to thank for it. It was Nino being his usual self, complete with careful care and omnipresent Friendship, that had slowly brought Adrien out of his shell.

Marinette hadn't noticed the start of the change, still too busy worshipping the pictures on her walls to see it happening. But sometimes he would stop and talk to her when he hadn't before, or stand close enough to Alya to get tugged into her strike range for physical affection, or speak up in a class discussion with a quiet joke instead of his normal attentive seriousness.

Their second year, in première, did more for him. In première he had friends.

This also took Marinette a while to notice, but he could sometimes be seen brushing Juleka's hair in the halls during their shared free period, or spending at least an hour in the library with Max every week nerding out over video games, or being fairly tight texting buddies with Alya.

Première was also the year that Marinette learned how to string together a complete, coherent sentence in front of him. That was the year they had their first real two-sided dialogue involving a mutual exchange of information --- and her first real, true glimpse at who Adrien was under all that polite shyness.

He was sweet. He was kind. He was enthusiastic and dorky and had a sense of humor that she was almost contractually obligated to roll her eyes at.

That was about the point where Marinette's crush went from 'mildly obsessive' to 'actually debilitating.'

It was made even more debilitating by the fact that Adrien truly, honestly seemed to enjoy her company.

She would walk into the classroom where her friends were having a debate, and catching sight of her was all it would take to turn Adrien's frown upside down. He laughed at all her jokes, even the terrible ones. He hugged her after his fencing tournaments and called her after school to talk about the most random, stupid things that came to mind, like he was just looking for an excuse to talk to her.

Eventually she knew enough about him to fill a textbook, and every new thing she learned just made her crush harder to bear.

Sure, she could string together a sentence in front of him now, but at what cost?

(This was made even worse by the fact that première was also the year that Chat had toned down his showing off.

She'd already been having trouble ignoring the tiny little crush she'd developed on her cute, loyal partner, only to discover that said crush got several times bigger and harder to ignore when his outrageous flirting was replaced by open, crystal-clear, heart-on-his-sleeve honesty.

It was a lot easier to brush off a casual, winking, "Ah, the sparks between us must have shorted the elevator out," than it was to brush off a dazed, awed, "You're the most amazing person I've ever met."

All of this meant that Marinette was caught between a crush that was getting more casually affectionate all the time, and a suitor that was getting decidedly less casual --- and yet no less respectful or trustworthy --- all the time.

Long story short, Marinette spent much of her première year screaming into her pillow.)

And then came year three: Terminale.

And during terminale, Adrien somehow, somewhere, learned how to flirt.

Marinette wanted a refund.

Oh, it had started subtle enough: little innuendo-laced comments that he didn't go out of his way to avoid, innocent touches when they talked, watching her out of the corners of his eyes and not looking away when she caught him. Little things that managed to imply that he wouldn't really mind if she wanted to kiss him.

Given that Marinette had very much wanted to kiss him for a good two and a half years by that point, it was just enough of a not-invitation to make her go out of her mind.

He doesn't mean it, became her daily mantra. He doesn't mean it, he doesn't mean it, he doesn't mean it, he doesn't mean it, he doesn't mean it, he doesn't mean it, he doesn't---

(Chat, on the other hand, definitely did mean it, and had no problem with making that perfectly clear at any given opportunity --- without ever actually pushing her boundaries.

You see what Marinette's problem was here, right?)

And then, as Marinette spectacularly failed to reject him, it. Got. Worse.

Kisses on the back of her hand, jokes about dating, jokes about kissing --- Adrien wouldn't make the jokes himself, but the little smirk on his face when someone implied that they were doing things was just as bad, if not much, much worse.

There was more innocent touching, more slightly-less-innocent touching (arms under her thighs on the few occasions when he picked her up, hugs that lasted a little too long, hands idly rested on her waist when she stood next to him...), and a general lack of shame about touching her all around.

Marinette, frustrated beyond belief (in many more ways than one), hadn't been sure if she was in heaven or in hell.

Then, somehow, it got worse.

Because, you know, of course it did.

Now Adrien stretched if he caught her staring, always with an unbearably cocky little grin that she wanted to smack off, kiss off, and sit on by turns. Marinette discovered first-hand that no, Adrien actually making the dirty jokes was infinitely, infinitely worse than simply not denying them. He kissed her cheek and complimented her appearance and smiled at her when he thought she wasn't looking --- only to smile wider when he found she was looking back.

Hell. It was definitely hell that she was in.

(And all of this was chased by deep midnight conversations with Chat; by races across rooftops that ended in slow-dancing on the top of the Eiffel Tower to the sound of their own humming; by Chat actually swooning into her arms when she kissed his cheek; by Chat dropping hints about his civilian identity, practically begging her to figure it out once she'd implied that she wouldn't mind knowing; by Chat kissing her knuckles while his eyes offered a promise he didn't have to voice...

Marinette was in trouble.

Marinette was in major trouble.)

The final straw came somewhere around finals season, when everyone was preparing for their baccalauréats.

She and Adrien were studying together with Nino and Alya in the library study rooms, as friends do --- and Marinette, exhausted right past the point of being able to focus, was starting to derail every question they tackled.

Alya, hoping to threaten Marinette back into focusing on the material, pulled the straw out of her smuggled latte and waved it in Marinette's face. "I swear, if you take us off course one more time..."

Then one her feints swung a little wide, and Marinette found herself thwacked across the cheek with a whipped-cream-laden straw.

"Hey!"

"Oh, whoops," Alya laughed, incorrigible, looking over the study-material-covered table for napkins. "You gotta dodge, girl!"

"I didn't think you'd actually hit me!" Marinette whined, hand only hovering by her cheek because a life spent in a bakery meant that she was practically hardwired to never touch her face when food was involved.

Across the table, Adrien looked pointedly up at the ceiling, incidentally doing nothing to hide his grin.

"Oh you hush," Marinette grumbled, folding her hands on the table and submitting to her fate of whipped cream showcase.

Adrien looked down from the ceiling, expression softening the moment he laid his eyes on her, just as it always did lately.

Marinette, just as she always did lately, felt her heart stammer to a stop, cheeks heating at a furious pace.

(She really wanted that refund.)

The corner of his mouth quirked kindly, and Marinette watched it in blank fascination.

He'd always been unbearably pretty, but there was a saying about how a soul could make a body beautiful, and Marinette was of the firm opinion that Adrien's could've made any body beautiful.

That was the thought floating around in her head when Adrien leaned out of his seat and reached across the table, and it distracted her so much that she didn't realize what he was going to do until he was already in the process of doing it.

Fingers on her cheek, Adrien dragged them through the sugary mess --- warm, rough fencing callouses on her sensitive skin and a soft smile on his face.

Marinette couldn't do anything but stare and burn.

He withdrew his hand, studying the cream on his fingers for a moment before opening his mouth and---

Marinette's hand shot out entirely of its own accord and wrapped around his wrist, halting it halfway across the table.

In that moment, Marinette was absolutely sure that he was about to lick his fingers clean, and that if he did, it would be the one thing she couldn't survive.

It wouldn't be a big thing, it wouldn't be the worst thing --- heck, it wouldn't even be a notable thing in the long run of truly mind-blowing things he'd said and done to her over the past year --- but she was tired. She was unfocused. She was distracted and frustrated and just last night Chat had dropped yet another hint as to who he was, and...

And Marinette was starting to suspect.

And if her suspicions were correct, then she really wouldn't be able to take that.

She just wouldn't.

So, of course, her solution to the issue was to drag Adrien's hand back over and lick his fingers clean herself.

Logic.

She got as far as tasting the salt of his skin beneath the sweet, creamy flavour before she realized that she'd made a very big mistake.

Mouth watering, she glanced up to find all traces of Adrien's smile gone, wiped clean by naked shock.

She considered for a second, and then gave his fingers a gentle, experimental suck.

Adrien's pupils visibly dilated, his jaw going slack.

If he asked, she planned to protest that his fingers were already there, and what else was she supposed to do with things in her mouth, really?

He didn't ask.

Marinette, emboldened, swirled her tongue around the digits in a motion just this side of too-suggestive to be excused as an attempt to get all of the cream, heat tingling low in the pit of her stomach.

(She'd had fantasies, okay?)

A low, pressurized noise escaped Adrien, slightly more than a wheeze but distinctly less than a groan, and it took all of Marinette's reservations and threw them bodily from the nearest tenth-story window.

She let her eyes slide shut and went after every trace of whipped cream with a vengeance.

(A sweet, seductive, suggestive vengeance, but a vengeance all the same.)

(Fantasies. She'd had them.)

When she opened her eyes back up, she found Adrien staring at her, flushed from hairline to collar with still more of the blush peeking out from the sleeves of his t-shirt. She was pretty sure he'd stopped breathing altogether. The moment their eyes met, his mouth shut with a click, his adam's apple bobbing with an audible gulp.

Marinette, in a show of spectacular self-control, did not attempt to clamber over the table.

Rather, in a show of a spectacular lack of self-control, she pulled his hand out of her mouth with a combined purr and suck, smirking as soon as his fingers were free.

Impulse had her licking her lips, hunger settling low in her belly at the taste of salt and glee spiking in her veins as he tracked the motion. Impulse also had her smirking a little wider as she purred, "Thanks for the treat, mon minou."

If it wasn't him, it would just be a pet name. If it was him, she'd know.)

His entire face went lust-slack, lips numbly forming, Ladybu---

"Um. Do we need to leave the room?"

Marinette and Adrien leapt about a foot in the air as one.

(It was him, it was him, it was h i m---)

Alya and Nino were also acting as one, staring hard and quirking their eyebrows in eerie sync.

"Uhh," said Marinette.

(---it was him, it was him, it was him---)

Adrien wrenched his hand out her grip, yelping, "Nope! Nope, we're--- we're f-fine---... We... We're... Um."

"I mean," said Alya, eyebrow game still going strong, "if you need us to leave so you can clear out that UST, it might help."

(It was him.)

"Nnn..." Adrien started.

"Well, I mean," said Marinette, cutting him off and glancing at him pointedly, because never let it be said that she hesitated once she knew what she wanted.

She didn't think she'd ever seen Adrien shut up so fast.

Alya looked from Marinette to Adrien and then to Nino, who raised his eyebrows back at her, then pushed herself up.

Marinette blinked. She hadn't expected to be listened to.

"Well then," Alya said over the scrape of Nino's chair as he followed her. "I'm getting another latte. Let us know when you can focus on test prep again."

"Um," said Adrien.

"Right," said Marinette.

They left.

To her credit, she waited until the door had clicked shut behind them before actually climbing over the table.

(It took her a while to get around to it, occupied as she was by Adrien's eager mouth and eager hands, but somewhere in the middle of all of it she managed to accuse, "You found me. When?"

"It's been a year, slowpoke."

"Oh my god, Chat."

He just laughed --- laughed and laughed and laughed until she captured his mouth and proved how very potent her crush could be, and let him prove to her just how much confidence he'd gained.

She was still in major trouble, but she couldn't say she wanted that refund anymore.)
