Jealousy // Ona Batlle

Ona never had any problems with her jealousy, she hardly felt jealous but that was before she met you, before she fell in love with you. Before you became her girl.

Ever since the spaniard asked you out her jealousy got worse. Not in the kind of way where it would cause arguments but she became more and more aware of how many people thought you were amazing. However, she never had to worry because in Manchester, England in general, the people weren‘t as touchy as in her home country.

In her home country she had to deal with all the touchiness since Barcelona signed Ona and you, breaking the internet.

Both of you were happy. Ona was happy to be back home and you were just happy to play for Barça. You settled well, making friends easily, knowing many already. Ona sticked with her people, Aitana and co while you spent most of your time with Frido and CGH, players not from Spain. You got along with everyone though and in no time they became your new family.

The team and a few other people were at Patri’s as they celebrated her birthday.

"You‘re not gonna wear this" Ona stated as she checked you out shamelessly, you looked absolutely breathtaking.

"Why not? Do you not like it?" you asked, completely oblivious to the fact that Ona wanted to rip your clothes off. She walked up behind you, placing her hands on your hips as she whispered in your ear "you look so hot." A shiver running down your spine while she attached her lips to your neck. "No," you said as you stepped away from her "we‘re going to Patri‘s." The spaniard whined, pulling you back in, "por favor, amor. I won‘t be able to keep my eyes off of you." You pressed a quick kiss to her lips before you left the bedroom, the defender trailing behind you, her eyes fixed on your bum.

The charmer she is, she opened the car door for you, admiring you. You always looked beautiful but this outfit did things to her. "Thank you, baby" you said, her cheeks flushing red, still getting all shy when you called her that. With a few quick steps, she walked around the car, taking a seat. Instantly, her hand found yours, resting in your lap as she drove to Patri.

"Hola" Patri yelled, opening the door. You gave her a bear hug while wishing her a happy birthday.

Patris home was full of people, the only ones you knew your team mates. "Finally decided to show up, huh?" Mapi grinned as she handed you and your girlfriend a drink. "Well, this one took ages to get ready" Ona replied laughing whilst you glared at her. "definitely worth it. You look hot"

"María?" Ingrid smacked her head as she heard her girlfriends words, Onas arm protectively going around your waist. "Well fair enough" the norse admitted as she looked at you. "See! No need to smack me" Mapi grumbled, rubbing her head. Ingrid and you looked at each other before laughing, Ona pressing her lips against your temple.

The night was spent with dancing, drinking, talking and laughing.

The non-Barça players turned out to be really nice (at least the ones you have spoken with) but Ona made sure they knew you belonged to her, some of them looking at you too long for her liking. "They seem nice" you said to your girlfriend as you had a moment alone "yeah" her gaze wandered around, stopping at one spesific person "but not him. He almost drooled at the sight of you!" you giggled slightly at the glare she gave him, "no mi amor, it‘s not funny. I‘m the only one allowed to drool" peppering kisses all over your face, the defender made a statement. You‘re hers and hers only. "Go mingle with Aitana, baby. Do want another drink, too?"

"I‘d love to," she replied, "suprise me" answering your unspoken question which drink she wanted to have.

You entered Patris kitchen, a familiar place for you, with so many team activities you had at her place. She loved to host movie nights in her home.

Though you weren‘t the only one in the kitchen, a girl standing at the counter pouring herself a drink. She wasn’t one of your team mates nor one of the people you had talked to. "Hi," you greeted, trying to be friendly. She turned around, "Oh hello…beautiful lady" her eyes wandered all over your body, lip biting as she took a step forward. "What‘s your name?" Forcing a smile, you answered, you didn't want to be rude yet the situation made you uncomfortable. "Pretty name for a pretty girl"

"Thanks?" you took a step back, wanting to put some distance between you but apparently she didn't get the hint because she took a few steps towards you again. "I‘m about to head home, care to join me?" the girl smirked.

"No"

"Why not?"

"Because-"

"Because she‘s taken!" Ona stepped in the room, a sigh of relief leaving your mouth. The spaniard was clenching her jaw, her arms looping around your waist. "You‘re not going home with my woman." The stranger watched as Ona pressed her lips to your neck, sucking on your sweet spot, making her point clear. Your head fell on her shoulder, smiling at the ceiling. The defender glared at the girl, still continuing to kiss along your neck. Soon enough Patri’s friend marched out the kitchen. "Mierda! What the fuck is wrong with her?" your girlfriend grumbled angrily, "I‘m the only one who takes to you home!" Ona was beyond angry. How dare anyone ask you to take you home?! She was walking up an down the kitchen, thinking about what she‘ll do if that girl ever dared to look at you again. "You know what? I‘m gonna beat her up"

"Hey, hey, wait" your arms wrapped around her middle, stopping her from storming out of the kitchen. Her eyes softened as they looked in yours, slowly calming down. When you were sure you could let go of her waist, your gently hooked your fingers under her chin, "you‘re so hot when you‘re jealous." The way she looked at you made you fall in love with her all over again, "you think so?" she asked, giggling, back in a good mood (thanks to you just being you) as she brushed her nose against yours, smiling lovingly.

"Yeah"

She chased after your lips, feeling the need to have them pressed on her own. Her hands trailed along your curves before they found a stop on your bum, she squeezed it, making you gasp in to her mouth as she took the opportunity to slip her tongue in your mouth.

"Oi! You can make out later! Let‘s get drunk" the birthday girl yelled, pulling you in to the main area.

The next time Ona was jealous was when a waitress started flirting with you.

"Amor?" The spaniard shouted as she walked in your shared apartment "where are you?"

"Upstairs"

"Can you come down for a moment?"

You made your way downstairs, wearing Onas hoodie and ManUtd shorts. "Hi baby" you greeted, walking over to her "hola, mi amor," she pressed a kiss to your lips "I got you these" she showed you the boquet of your favorite flowers which were hidden behind her back.

"Thank you!" you accepted them as she handed them to you, inhaling their smell. The spaniard smiled fondly at you, loving how happy you were. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! They‘re beautiful. I have to put them in a vase!" Speed walking, you searched for a vase. Ona wasn‘t finished spoiling you though, "Mi amor, put your shoes on. I‘m taking you out." You stopped in your tracks to look at her, smiling widely "What did I do to deserve this?" you asked confused but not much suprised. The defender always treated you like a royalty and was smitten for you. "I‘m just so in love with you" she replied, lovestruck smile on her face as her eyes looked at you with heart eyes.

"Let me change first then. I can‘t go looking like this"

Ona furrowed her brows, why would you want to change? She liked seeing you in her clothes.

"Why? I love when you wear my hoodies"

"I‘m wearing United shorts?"

"Point taken"

You rushed in your bedroom, changing in some different shorts before you put on your shoes, ready to go.

The drive to the restaurant was spent with singing Adele songs. You connected your phone to the car and then the first Adele song started playing. Ona loved the passion you had whenever Adele was playing, it didn‘t matter If it was in the car, the changing room or elsewhere, you would sing your heart out.

Entering the restaurant you looked around. It was cozy, you‘ve never been here before. Ona spotted it one day as she was nearby, she was sure you‘d like it. "This place is so cute!" you said, your voice full of excitement. "Not as cute as you" the defender replied, enjoying your happiness. The two of you sat down at a table near a corner, wanting to have some privacy. The place wasn‘t big but there were a few people. "Hi, here are the menus." the waitress handed each of you a menu, her hand brushing over your arm while doing so. You didn't realize her action but your girlfriend did. "Do you already know what you want to drink or should I come again?"

"Come back again" Ona replied with a strict face as the waiter checked you out. "Sure" she didn‘t spare her a glance but looked at you, winking, walking away. "shall we have a glass of wine, baby?" you smiled at her "anything you want, amor"

As you looked through the menu what you wanted to eat, you decided to try someting new.

When the waitress came back a few minutes later Onas posture stiffened, "Hey, again, what does your heart desire?" she asked, her eyes not leaving your figure. "A glass of red wine and this please" you didn‘t know how to pronounce the dish so you pointed with your finger at the name of it on the menu. She leaned in, her body quite close to yours to look at it. The spaniards jaw was clenching as she stared daggers in to her head "I want Gambas al Ajillo, please" your girls tone wasn‘t happy nor friendly yet she said please to not come out rude. The waitress gave Ona a judgy look before turning back to you "Do you want anything else, cutie pie?" you looked at Ona helpless as the pet name was refered to you. "N-no"

you didn‘t look at the server again, feeling uncomfortable that she was flirting with you. You were cleary having a date with your girlfriend. However, the waitress thought your stuttering was from her flirting and she had a chance with you. She walked to the bar which was connected to the kitchen, swaying her hips more than necessary. "We‘re literally having a date and she dares to flirt with you?" The spaniard grumbled, hating the idea that someone would steal you from her. You could see that she wasn‘t enjoying herself and you would bet that wouldn‘t change if you stay here. "Let‘s go somewhere else" you suggested. "What? No? We just ordered our food"

"Baby, i can see the wrinkle between your brows and your clenching jaw, let‘s go. I‘m sure we‘ll find something else"

"Are you sure?" she asked, shyly. Her persona took a 180 degree turn as she was caught in her jealousy.

"Yes, let me just tell them and we can go"

You grabbed your purse, walking over to the waitress again, Ona observing the situation. As the girl saw you coming towards her, she straightened her outfit and ran her fingers through her hair "lo siento, my girlfriend isn‘t feeling well. We‘ll go." You didn‘t wait for a reaction, you just turned around, walking back to your lover who was glaring at your server. You pressed a kiss to her cheek, slinging your arm around her waist. In return the spaniard laid her arm around your shoulders, pressing a possesive kiss to your head before exiting the restaurant.

It was clear to say you wouldn‘t come back here again.

Ona couldn’t stop looking at you, you looked so stunning.

The team just won the league and decided to celebrate in a club. Music was playing, everyone was enjoying themselves.

Her hands were wrapped around your hips as you danced with her or more like in to her. Your bum was grinding in her front, driving her crazy. Her knees were trembling, her heart race at a none-healthy one. "Corazón" she groaned in your ear. Oh the things she wanted to do to you. Her breath hitched as you slid your hand behind her head so her chin would settle on your shoulder. Dazed, you smiled as you felt Ona tilting her head, her lips attached to your neck.

"Woah, you‘ve got some sexy moves" a drunk stranger slurred as his arms went to grab you. Before you even could register what happened Ona was already in front of you, one hand pushing you behind her as the other was on the strangers chest, keeping him away. "Lesbians ahhh, sorry, just want to fuck your girl straight" he grinned, the smell of alcohol coming out of his mouth. Your girlfriend wanted to throw up right then and there, a) because he dared to touch what‘s hers, b) because of his smell and c) because he thought he‘s it. She was furios, fuck you straight? Hell no. Who does he think he is? She didn‘t know what came over her but with one quick motion her fist collided with his face. It got the attention from your team mates, Mapi and Bronze running over to you. "You okay?" the english woman asked as the spaniard stood in front of your girlfriend. He was so drunk that he couldn‘t even raise his own fist as Mapi shoved him away. Lucy by her side as the stranger tried to turn around.

Your girl grabbed your wrist, pulling you out of the club. "Mierda!"

You took her hand in yours, pressing a kiss to the back of it "why do you have to be so beautiful?" she whispered, leaning her body against yours as she walked you to the nearest wall. "You looked so hot punching that weirdo" you whispered as you rested your forehead against hers. "Yeah?" she smiled, licking her lips. Your eyes darted around her face before landing on one of your favorite parts of her face "you‘re always hot when you‘re jealous"

"I‘m not jealous"

You rolled your eyes jokingly, "So you wouldn‘t mind If I go back inside and dance with someone who offers me a drink?"

"Don’t" her arms around you tighten, her tone stern.

Grinning, you asked, "Why not?"

"Jealous doesn’t even describe the things I feel sometimes," she answered, lowering her head to your neck "you‘re mine" she said as pressed some kisses along your neck, ever so gently.

Ona was glaring at you or rather the girl next to you. A newbie.

New people always wanted to be around you but who could blame them? You welcomed them with open arms and helped them settle in, yourself knowing how it was to be the new one. The spaniard loved you for that, she loved how you shared your kindness yet what she didn’t like was that the girl was touching you, her hands wandering across your bizeps.

"Jealous much?" Aitana asked her friend, chuckling at the growl written across her face. "She isn‘t wearing her ring" the defender grumbled, annoyed that you had to take her ring off due to playing football. "Don‘t you think the hickies you left all over her neck isn’t a sign?" Ona smiled bright at the thought how she made them. That girl was head over heels for you, clearly smitten. "you really love her, don‘t you?" Aitana asked, she had never seen her best friend like this. Every time you would step in to the room the defenders eyes would light up, Ona was happy, something she deserved to be.

"Sí, ella será mi esposa algún día"

While the two spaniards talked to each other, you were interacting with the newbie. You talked about her former club until you felt arms snuggle around your waist, you knew it was. Of course you knew, you could tell by the gentle touch, the perfume and the lips that pressed against your temple. "Hey, I‘m Ona," the spaniard introduced herself.

"H-hi" the girl whispered in disbelief. She had told you earlier that she admired the defender, the way she played and it was an honor to play in the same team as her. "her girlfriend" Ona ended her statement.

The newbie got big eyes, cheeks blushing as she muttered an apology before walking away. "Was that necessary, baby?" you asked as you turned around in her grasp. "You’re not wearing your ring I had to make sure she knows you‘re off the market"

You giggled, pecking her cheek "everybody knows i‘m yours, your insta is basically a fan page for me and your marks-"

"are a friendly reminder that you have a loving, caring-"

"possesive"

She shushed you with her index finger on your mouth, "and proud girlfriend at home" a laugh escaped your throat, the spaniard grinning, your laughter was her favorite sound in the world.

"I love you, my jealous girl" you purred against her lips, her fingers pinching your side "loving, caring and proud girl" she corrected you while she playfully glared at you, her forehead resting against your own. "Say it" her demand fell to deaf ears as you shook your head, looking away. "My girl, say it" she turned your head so she could look at you (her favorite view) before pushing her lips onto yours, pecking them repeatedly, "Say," peck, "it" peck.

"I love you.." expectantly, she looked at you, waiting to hear the words, "my loving, caring and proud girl" satisfied with your wording she gave you a proper kiss. "I love you, too"

You slipped out of her hold and started running, "still a jealous girl!" you shouted.

The spaniard chased after you but there was no denying, she was your jealous girl.

The set up for the church paradox.

Cas, post fall, fever dream, almost dying locked in that cabin bedroom, the unnamed goddess calling him in spirit yet somehow physically into that Church.

Dean, post infection, fever dream, almost dying locked in that cabin bedroom, Cas accidentally calling him in spirit yet somehow physically into that Church.

All of time and space converging. Dean is the impossible, he was never supposed to be in this universe, Cas accidentally binding them together with those sigils, allowing Cas to connect with Dean in the first place, and also making Dean invisible to Lucifer while he’s physically in that cabin, which he technically is, thus allowing him to shield Lia and thus her able to get him into that church where he and Cas manage to do something and erase the kids' (and both of their) minds.

There is so much meat there, and every time you re-read there is more. There is so much cool foreshadowing with ALL the players involved, and I literally put together another thread in that during EVERY read-through.

Someone once asked me my thoughts on what we know happened in the church and it got to 19 pages in google before I had to cut it off pending another re-read of book 4.

When did you first start reading it?

It’s hard to remember just because the last three years are a fuzzy mess, but I’m pretty sure I started reading it late 2021/early 2022. I am a fast reader so I demolished it VERY fast.

When did you first realize how hooked you where with DtA? Was it from moment one? Was there a specific scene?

After Cas and Dean started properly working together in book 1 I was pretty on board, but once they told Chuck and started their trips into Kansas City, that was when it really settled in and I knew I was about to read the entire thing.

If there could be a in-depth prequel written for any of the characters, who's past would you be the most interested in exploring?

Joe or Teresa. Honestly though I’d really like to see the case Dean worked down by the border.

If you had to, what would you ranking be of the books?

This is a slim AF margin too, because they’re all so good. But I think it’d be 3,1,4,2 So “A Thousand Lights in Space” “Map of the World” “Game of God” “It’s the Stars That Lie” But it's real neck and neck for the last three.

How many times have you read it all the way through?

Books one and two I have read cover to cover 6 or 7 times, three I probably read a couple more. Book four I’ve actually only read completely cover to cover once, but I have read a lot of it out of order a couple more times. I’m trying to get my fics to a bit more of a stable point so I can re-read it again in case I go off the rails hyper-fixation on it again. I’ll probably read it twice in a row when I read it this next time.

Did reading DtA help inspire your own The End fic?

No, it hindered it greatly. The world building in DtA is very contrary to the plot I have for my endverse fic, and it took a while for my brain to reset and be like “Nope, this is what I’m doing, put that out of your mind.” If I hadn’t read DtA, you’d already have my Endverse fic, because I started writing it before reading that, and had to stop work for straight up like a year.

What of the many burning questions currently unanswered do you want answered first?

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED INSIDE THE DAMN CHURCH!?!?!?

What's the most interesting non-SPN related fact that DtA taught you?

Graphene and everything about it.

If normal SPN team free will read/watch/found out about the DtA what do you think their reactions would be?

I think none of them would have any idea what to do with it. Cas would therefore not have much outward expression, Sam would be incredibly awkward and only a little insulted he isn’t in it, and Dean would be 10/10 defensive AF.

What's a scene/interaction that still scratches the brain itch?

The Winchester Hou- Cas accidentally calling Dean when he’s using Allison as a conduit for the kids in Ichabod, and subsequently their interactions after Cas figures out what happened.

Close seconds are Cas and Dean’s interaction after Dean gets bit in the courtyard, Cas searching Kansas City with his mind after Dean touched The Ick™.

And yes actually the retelling of Nate’s interactions with The Winchester House.

Have you read The Forever King spin-off series? If so, what are your thoughts?

I have not read it yet, I must at some point. I know I’ll like it.

Part1

No matter how hard Y/n tried, only a few days later she found herself in the middle of things. Although she usually wanted to wear a hoodie and keep herself hidden, it wasn't easy as both YasuKiyo faction and Todoroki faction recognized her.

Even though Todoroki and Tsuji&Shiba chose to remain silent, y/n knew that Yasushi wouldn't sit still.And she was right...

She wanted to have a quiet day, but when 2 people she knew were from YasuKiyo faction blocked her way, she knocked one down with a hard kick without even waiting to listen to what they were gonna say.The other ran to her in anger, she punched him in the stomach and face, pushed him away and shouted.

"Tell your boss I'm not interested.And if they keep messing with me, I won't sit still like this any longer."

When the young girl shook her hands and wanted to put her hood back on, she heard a small applause. When she quickly turned to the direction of the voice, she looked at the person who was applauding her in surprise.

The famous king of Oya was looking at her with a smile on his face, as if he had just found out a new toy.

“Murayama-san…” Y/n whispered in surprise, Murayama smiled and gestured towards the stairs.

"Shall we go to the roof?"

Y/n didn't say anything.She did not know Murayama's intentions.She had some idea of his character, but wasn't sure if he would hurt her. But she knew very well how strong he was. So she thought it would be foolish to protest, so she put on her hoodie and followed him.

Everyone stared at them in the hallways they passed as Y/n quietly followed Murayama to the roof. Oya was strange enough to have a girl, and that girl was with Murayama ?

Murayama was watching the new freshmen's leadership race with interest.He was excited by the fact that there were many strong freshmen after Todoroki. And as this race started, he was as excited as he was surprised by the fact that there was a girl in Oya right after.

He didn't like it when he learned that she was hiding as much as possible and that some factions were targeting her. He wanted to get to know her better and find out her purpose. He also wanted her to appear with him.No one should dare to touch the person next to him.

Once they got to the roof, y/n slowly unbuttoned her hood and looked seriously at Murayama and around. The view from above was quite pleasant.She smiled:

"Nice view"

Murayama laughed and shook his head.

"I hope you don't think I invited you here to show the view"

Murayama smiled as Y/n nodded seriously.

"Y/n-chan, right?" Y/n nodded. "It is quite interesting that there is a female student in Oya. It is very interesting not because it is not possible, but because no one has asked for it until now."

Y/n was seriously trying to figure out why she was summoned here.

"I was worried when I heard that there was a female student coming here. I was curious about her purpose. At first I thought she was an attention-seeking young girl, she wanted to play with boys. But when I saw that she was not interested in anyone and could fight, I gave up on that idea."

Y/n was listening to her Senpai with a very serious expression. She could not predict the outcome of this conversation.

"I thought you'd challenge the boys and enter the leadership race after seeing you can fight, but on the contrary, you don't care about it at all. Tell me, y/n-chan... why are you in Oya?"

Y/n was torn between answering or not.It didn't make much sense for her to say that her real reason was to follow the boy she loved to the most notorious school in the area.

"I don't have a reason, I just wanted to come. Senpai, I'll graduate without getting in trouble and getting involved in that shitty race."

Murayama smiled and took a few steps closer to the young girl. Y/n did not back down or was frightened. Murayama realized that this young girl was quite daring.

"I don't think you can live here if you don't pick a side right now."

Y/n smiled

"I can protect myself, don't worry"

Murayama shook his head and again looked down from the roof at the view.

“Everyone who comes here has a purpose, y/n-chan. A purpose other than being a student… I also came here to be king. Todoroki and others too. And they fight for it, some succeed. Some fight alongside the strong, some are becoming the man. But you're not interested in power or being the king... Because you're here for someone, right?"

Y/n looked at Murayama, who turned to him with his last words, in horror. She knew he was strong and crazy, but he was also smart.How had he predicted this?

"You don't have to answer... It's also a good reason to care for someone and be with them." Murayama took a deep breath and smiled.

"This place is not for you y/n-chan. Sometimes reasons are not enough, also ambition is needed. And you are not ambitious.You will melt away in these boys' war..."

Y/n knew Murayama was right. She was angry with Tsukasa, but this was different.She had to show them that she was determined.

Y/n closed her eyes for a few seconds and opened them again and smiled.

"What if I prove to you that I can stay here, Murayama-san? Then will you let me stay?"

Murayama approached the young girl.He stopped right in front of her and smiled.He took a few steps towards the door without saying a word and called without turning his back at the door.

"Don't make them feel like you are weak.And… don't forget to come to me if things get too bad for you to handle."

Murayama quietly left the roof and y/n stared after him for a few seconds.She thought about what he had said and sighed deeply.She wasn't gonna give up, she was gonna keep fighting...

After thinking for a while on the roof, Y/n went down the stairs again and proceeded to one of the empty classrooms where she always hangs out, ignoring the people around her. When she turned the corner, she stopped her steps with the person in front of her and lifted her head.

Nakagoshi... she knew him.She knew that he was in this school and that he respected Tsukasa and wanted to follow him. But Tsukasa's refusal to enter this race changed everything. Nakagoshi thought he was afraid and said that he would beat Todoroki himself.

Everyone in Hope Hill knew her as Y/n was close with Fujio and Tsukasa.Yasushi and Kiyoshi in particular enjoyed dealing with her because of their past with Fujio and Tsukasa.

But Nakagoshi didn't see y/n as an enemy.On the contrary, he wanted her to be with him, so he finally wanted to talk to her.

"Y/n-chan, I have no intention of fighting. I just want to talk."

Y/n listened, never taking her serious gaze off the young boy's face.

"Oya is a dangerous place. And you're not on Tsukasa-san's side...If you don't join a faction when the leadership race is this fierce-"

Y/n sighed and approached the young boy with a bored expression.

"Naka-kun...I'm not interested in any faction as long as someone isn't fighting me or hurting me."

With Y/n's stern attitude, Nakagoshi excitedly replied

"Being alone will make you a target.Doesn't YasuKiyo already attack you every day because of Fujio-san?"

When Y/n remained silent, Nakagoshi spoke confidently.

"I can protect you y/n-chan."

Although Y/n was surprised at first, she smiled and adjusted her hoodie.She patted Nakagoshi's shoulder and started walking without saying a word.

As Y/n was leaving, Tsukasa came out from behind the wall where he was listening to them and came face to face with Nakagoshi. He didn't know his purpose but wanted him to stay away from y/n.

"Senpai...You don't stand up to Todoroki, so there's no one to protect y/n-chan. They're going to hurt her because you're a coward."

Tsukasa shook his head at what Nakagoshi said angrily.

"Y/n can protect herself. So you... stay away from her. Her not taking a side is the only thing keeping her safe."

Nakagoshi laughed and shook his head.

“Even I can be stronger than you in my current state. You disappointed me, your friends, and y/n-chan, senpai.”

Tsukasa was offended by the young boy's innuendo, but he didn't want to show it.

"I don't care about this race. I don't think Todoroki sees her as a threat. Instead of worrying about her, worry about yourself... and for the last time. Stay away from Y/n."

Tsukasa quietly left after his words and didnt wait for him to say anything. And Nakagoshi's men followed him silently as he left too...

Y/n didn't look away when she walked into one of the classes she always hangs out.When she lifted her head, she was taken aback by the sight she saw. Todoroki was sitting on one of the desks. When he saw her enter the classroom, he turned his gaze to the young girl. Thinking that she was in danger, Y/n quickly turned around and wanted to exit the door, but Tsuji and Shibaman closed the door and didn't let her leave.

Y/n tried to push both of them but couldn't.She looked at the two who were blocking her way. Both were quite tall and she knew they were both strong.Tsuji and Shiba were not like the losers Yasushi sent, she couldn't beat them both. Moreover, Todoroki was also in this room, even if she defeated the duo, she knew that Todoroki was the strongest of Oya.

"Get out of my way!"

Todoroki spoke when the young girl said it harshly

"We won't hurt you, just want to talk."

Y/n sighed at Todoroki's words and cast her stern gaze away from the two of them.She turned around and smiled

"Why is everyone saying the same thing today?"

When Todoroki pointed to the bench in front of him, y/n pulled up the chair and sat down.She put her arms on the back of the chair and looked at Todoroki.

"What do you want to talk about? And when will your Bodyguards let me out?"

Tsuji and Shiba rolled their eyes at the young girl at the same time, while Todoroki smiled at her confident demeanor. He knew she wasn't afraid, and even if she was, she would never show it. But he wondered about her connection to Murayama.

"They're not my bodyguards. I can protect myself."

Y/n smiled and nodded

"I know, I heard you are pretty strong."

"What did you talk about with Murayama? Now that he's interested-"

"What makes you think I'm going to answer that question?"

She knew that Todoroki didn't care if anyone joined him or not. He was just jealous of Murayama's position.So the only thing he wanted to talk about was Murayama.

Todoroki smiled and looked the young girl in the eyes

"I really wonder why you're here. At first I thought you were an attention-whore teenage girl."

Y/n frowned as Todoroki continued.

"You didn't come here to hunt men. You don't compete for leadership either. You don't join anyone, but you don't fight anyone either. If you're not here for power or fame, what's your point y/n-chan?"

Y/n could tell from his eyes that he was making fun of her and despising her. Todoroki was very confident. This was not an unfounded trust. He was as smart as he was strong. But she didn't like him. He was selfish.

"You're here for someone, right?"

Y/n was trying not to change her facial expression with the question she heard.She shouldn't have given herself up.

"Nakagoshi? I haven't heard of him attacking you."

Seeing that there was no change in Y/n's reactions, Todoroki continued.

"I don't think it's Yasushi or Kiyoshi either. I also don't understand the hostility they have towards you yet."

Tsuji, who was listening to the conversation at the time, replied

"They used to fight with us too, but Fujio always protected you. That's why you're an easy target now, right?"

Hearing Fujio's name, she smiled.She missed him.

"Fujio? Tsukasa's friend you were talking about?"

Todoroki asked in surprise when Shiba nodded his head at Todoroki's question.

"Fujio isn't here. Why haven't I seen you together, even though I thought you were here for Tsukasa? Shouldn't you be with him?

Tsuji and Shiba looked at her in surprise when Y/n slammed her hand on the desk in front of her, but Todoroki was not surprised. He already had his answer.

"That's enough. This conversation is over. I don't care about your assumptions and guesses. I'm not a threat to you, you should take care of Yasushi and Kiyoshi instead of me."

Todoroki smiled and stood up from the bench. But just then, Yasushi's voice came from the speaker. He was calling out to Tsuji and Shibaman. When Y/n turned his head and looked at the two of them, he saw that they were quite angry. Todoroki was also listening to the conversation seriously. Soon after, when one of Nakagoshi's men shrieked in pain, the trio left the room and y/n followed them.

After Tsuji and Shiba knocked out Yasushi's men, the two left the room and the five of them faced each other. But even more surprising, Todoroki calmly stood in front of Yasushi and said he could take the lead if he wanted to. And left without doing anything.

After Todoroki left, y/n came out from behind the door watching them and showed herself. Yasushi grinned when he saw her and watched the young girl approach him.Yasushi thought she had finally come to fight, but y/n had something else on her mind.

"Congratulations, leader."

After what Y/n said with a suggestive grin, and with a slight bow, Yasushi knew that she was teasing him. Y/n left without saying anything, and Yasushi didn't do anything about it.It wasn't the right time to mess with y/n.

When Y/n heard that Tsukasa had left the school after the events, she was very angry. She knew that the boy she had known and loved for years was not coward and weak. Fujio's departure had literally devastated him, and she understood that he didn't want to get involved in these fights. But she didn't understand how he was pretending to be defeated without even a fight.

She was quite tired from what was going on at school.She had stopped by the market before going home and was walking down the dark street towards the apartment. She had a favorite music in her earphones and thousand thoughts in her mind.

She was no more than 100 meters from the apartment, she didn't notice the person following her because of the music playing in her headphones, and she couldn't even react when someone suddenly grabbed her and threw her against the wall.

When y/n entered the garden gate, Todoroki realized that something was wrong when he saw the young girl trying to leave without looking around and trying to hide her face.So when he called out to and stopped her, y/n cursed her bad luck and stopped.

As the trio approached the young girl, Todoroki noticed the scar on her forehead and frowned.

"What happened to your face? Who did that?"

Y/n rolled her eyes

"A little fight and it is none of your business."

Y/n was obviously lying.This was very different from a fight scar. Tsuji approached and looked at the young girl's face

"Do you remember who you were fighting with?" Y/n was stunned by the question, while Tsuji smiled, "Someone attacked you last night, right?"

Todoroki was waiting for the young girl to answer. Y/n couldn't understand how they knew.

"Kiyoshi... someone stabbed him with a knife yesterday. His wound isn't bad, but this is serious."

Y/n was also surprised by what Shiba said.Someone approached from behind and slammed her to the wall, and after she hit her head, there was a small fight. She knew the person just wanted to intimidate him, but she couldn't see the face of her attacker.She thought they were from Yasushi's faction, but her mind changed.

"Did you see who they were? I heard they were wearing masks."

Y/n shook her head

"No, they attacked from behind. Their faces were also masked. It was just two people."

Todoroki shook his head

"Let's take a walk, y/n-chan, let's go out to the backyard and we'll talk about this."

Y/n looked around, there was no chance of getting rid of these three. She grinned and replied.

"I don't have an umbrella, as you can see the rain has getting faster Todoroki-san"

Shibaman smiled and said, pointing at the umbrella in his hand.

"I'll share this with you, y/n-chan, don't worry. You're pretty small, it'll be enough for both of us."

Y/n rolled her eyes at what Shiba had said and the trio started walking to the backyard area. After talking about what had happened for a while, they saw the YasuKiyo duo at the end of the stairs.

"I guess you've been pretty busy after being a leader. What happened?"

When Todoroki asked Kiyoshi, Yasushi snapped and immediately looked behind Todoroki at the girl next to Shiba.

"I guess you chose your side y/n-chan. Also what happened to your face? Didn't your friends protect you?"

Y/n smiled at the boy who was grinning and answered.

"I'm not picking a side, Yasushi-kun. I don't need anyone's protection either. I'll continue to be a lone wolf."

While Yasushi and y/n were bickering with each other, Nakagoshi stared at the scar on the young girl's face for a while.The attackers of Kiyoshi were Todoroki and the others, he couldn't understand why y/n was with them.

While he was thinking about this, y/n was back in school with Todoroki and the duo. Tsuji spoke while looking at the young girl.

“There is no evidence of Kiyoshi's stabbing, but I'm sure Nakagoshi had it done. They must have attacked Y/n-chan too."

Y/n looked at him confused.

"Me? Why would Nakagoshi have his men attack me? I am no threat to him. He also even told me to join him."

Todoroki calmly replied

"Maybe that's why."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"He may have just wanted to intimidate. He's the best choice for you to join. Besides… maybe you did something that pissed him off."

Y/n thought for a while. It didn't make sense. But could he really have done such a thing just for her to get scared?

When Y/n learned that Tsukasa had not come to school again, she left the school to look for him and found that he was sitting alone by a river near his home.She sat a few steps behind him on the stairs, and as soon as she sat down, Tsukasa noticed someone came and turned around.

Y/n looked at him for a while with a serious expression and smiled.

"I heard you're leaving Oya."

Tsukasa slowly nodded and swallowed.He knew he wouldn't be happy at the end of this conversation.

"It's not the place for me. It's better for everyone that way."

Y/n laughed and nodded

"You're going to give up like this? You're going to let them win?"

"Y/n... I'm not who you thin-"

Tsukasa spoke, trying to remain calm. He didn't want to fight with y/n

"How many years have we known each other Tsukasa ? 4 ? 5 ? Quite a long time... I can't understand that you admitting defeat without even fighting... You're strong, i mean quite strong. But even I can beat you now as the person you are."

Tsukasa chose to remain silent. Y/n wanted to fight him, yell at each other, but when she didn't get the reaction she wanted, she got angry and stood up.

"They beat up your friends.Those boys were trusting on you.... what a shame... It's so sad to see the boy I love turn into a coward... I thought you were just a coward when it comes to me..."

The young girl slowly walked away and returned to the school. Tsukasa was left alone with his thoughts and conscience.

Y/n was back at school after a while. She was sitting on the stairs in the backyard and thinking. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned her head and saw Nakagoshi coming. She stood up slowly and looked at him.

"What happened to your face? I told you I could protect you."

Remembering what Tsuji had said, y/n laughed and shook her head.Nakagoshi stared at her in shock as she suddenly punched the young boy in the face.

"You had stabbed Kiyoshi and your men attacked me. And now you're saying that without shame?"

With Y/n's shouting, Nakagoshi stared at her with wide eyes.

"I didn't do anything like that. I have nothing to do with this. What the hell are you talking about? I would never hurt you."

Y/n was a little surprised at the seriousness in his voice but didn't want to believe it.

"They broke one of your men's fingers. And you wanted revenge. You probably wanted to scare me too-"

"Bullshit. I never fight dirty. Besides, I'd never hurt you y/n."

Y/n frowned and smiled

"Why should I believe you?"

"Because I like you!"

Nakagoshi lowered his voice as the young girl looked up in shock.

"I've liked you for a long time. Why would I hurt someone I love? Do you realize how worried I was when I saw your scar?"

"I..."

"Seriously, I really like you. That's why I want you by my side. I don't want you to get hurt y/n..."

Y/n was silent for a while.She didn't think he was lying.It was the first time she had seen him like this.

"I... I'm sorry. But I can't..."

Nakagoshi nodded and smiled

"You love him, don't you? You came for him."

Y/n smiled bitterly and didn't say anything. She walked up the stairs to the school again. There was no need to lie...

Tsukasa came back to school that day and spoke to Murayama. Then he ran to the roof with what Nakagoshi said and saw Yasushi had beaten his friends so bad.he was going to fight that day, but Jamuo stopped him...

He wanted to think about what to do for a while. Murayama's words were swirling around in his head.So he got on the bus and went to Fujio.

They fought for a while, literally rolling in the mud. The fight didnt have a winner but Tsukasa was able to gather his mind a little.

After a while, they were walking on the road towards home. Fujio was quite surprised when Tsukasa talked a little about what had happened.

"Oya huh? I never expected her to go to a school like Oya. Is she safe?"

Tsukasa hesitated a little and nodded his head.

"I hear she's been getting into fights, but she doesn't seem to be in trouble."

Fujio shook his head and thought for a while. He smiled at Tsukasa.

"How are you? I mean you didnt talk for a long time. But I know she came to Oya for you."

Tsukasa smiled bitterly

"I'd say she made my mind up, but she's still mad at me-"

"And you? Don't you really have feelings for her?"

Fujio asked, knowing that his friend had been lying for years.

"I love her."

Even though Fujio knew the correct answer, he didn't expect Tsukasa to confess.Tsukasa smiled as Fujio looked at him in surprise.

"I was afraid of losing her. I was afraid that someone would hurt her or that things wouldn't go on as they were in the beginning. For years she neither confessed nor I could say anything. But she is not living a unrequited love.But I guess.... I guess it's too late now "

Fujio laughed and punched his friend hard on the shoulder.

"For you, she still goes Oya for you... I don't think anything is too late. Talk to her properly, you've both been broken enough."

When Tsukasa came to school the next day, he looked quite confident.He searched for y/n at school for a while, and when he couldn't find it, he looked for places she might be. He even asked Tsuji and Shiba. When he realized she wasn't at school, he thought of the steps by the river where she had been sitting a few days ago, and he quickly walked out of school.

When he got to the river side, he saw someone watching the flowing water where he was sitting a few days ago. He slowly descended the steps and stood next to the young girl. Y/n spoke without taking her eyes off the water.

"Have a sit"

Tsukasa sat next to her and silently waited for her to say something.Y/n handed him half of the chocolate in her hand.

"Here you go, you used to love these one"

Tsukasa smiled and took the chocolate.She still cared enough for him to even remember his favorite chocolate. He took a deep breath and looked at the girl who wasn't looking at him.

"Can we talk a bit?" Y/n slowly turned to him and nodded

"You were right."

The young girl turned her gaze back to the water and Tsukasa continued to speak.

"I was scared. But not of them. I wasn't afraid to fight. Because I had already admitted in my head that I was already defeated. You were right about that. Thank you."

Y/n nodded slightly and turned to him.

"Then what were you afraid of? I mean... what are you trying to say you're afraid of?"

Tsukasa looked into the eyes of the young girl

"You."

"Huh?"

"You said i knew everything but said nothing to you. I admit it, I'm a coward. I admit that I was wrong. But I was afraid that things would get worse later. I was afraid that nothing would ever be the same again. I was afraid of upsetting each other, afraid of hurting you... "

Y/n averted her gaze, started watching the water again

"I'm wrong, I admit it. I'm sorry y/n, you didn't deserve this... But you're wrong about one thing. Your feelings aren't unrequited... I... I like you too."

Y/n turned to him with wide eyes. She was shocked, sad, angry...Tsukasa couldn't decide which one.

"Will you give me a chance? To fix everything?"

Y/n closed her eyes and couldn't say anything. As a tear fell from her eye, Tsukasa extended his hand and gently wiped the tear from the young girl's face.

He caressed her cheek lightly and he withdrew his hand, thinking he had done something wrong.

"I'm sorry… I went too far..."

Y/n opened her eyes and took a deep breath. She wiped her eyes and smiled.

"If you want me to forgive you, I have one condition."

Y/n smiled as Tsukasa looked at her in surprise.

"We're going to show all those bastards who we are, okay?"

Tsukasa chuckled and nodded, smiling. Y/n smiled and took the chocolate she had just handed him and popped it into her mouth.

Tsukasa laughed at this and then smiled.He missed being like this with her. So fucking much...

Ok so this image the official Scream twitter posted of the shrine has been eating my brain for days now.

WHO THE FUCK IS THIS GHOSTFACE? Just look at all the shit in this shrine! This isn’t just a Stab fanboy, because there’s stuff like the fax machine from Scream 3 and what looks like Richie’s shirt. This isn’t just a Billy/Stu fanboy because Mrs Loomis’s jacket’s in there, what looks like Kenny’s cap is in there, and again Richie’s jacket. But they also have crazy shit like Billy’s blood stained shirt, the robes Stu wore during the party, Tatum’s outfit, a recreation of Steve in the chair complete with the jacket, what looks like SKETCHES Stu or Billy made planning what they wanted to do to Casey, what looks like someone sketching portraits of Sidney Tatum Stu and Billy in the case next to tatum’s outfit, what looks like the CAMERA Gale used to film what went down in the house, there’s a gun next to Mrs Loomis’s jacket that looks just like the one she used, and what I think is most important, the ACTUAL GHOSTFACE COSTUME USED THAT NIGHT. Well, one of them at least, since most likely Billy did also get up at one point to help Stu out, meaning two ghosties were running around at once that night. It’s the only one behind protective glass, and you can see the blood stain on the right shoulder from where Sidney wore it (she was stabbed there and bleeding). If it’s the only one being that well cared for, it has to be the real deal. SO WHO THE FUCK WAS ABLE TO GET THEIR HANDS ON ALL THIS SHIT? Even if most of it is just recreations, HOW DID THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO CREATE? Why such obscure shit like Kenny’s hat? You don’t just recreate sketches when you don’t know someone did them in the first place. So who the fuck could get their hands on Stu/Billy’s art??

They made it clear at the end of Scream 2022 that they weren’t going to share the names or motives of the latest killers to try and break the cycle, so this is someone who KNOWS about Richie. There is a very small number of people in the know about what happened, so it’s someone we KNOW (theoretially). BUT, also someone who’s been religiously following ALL the ghostface murders since the beginning. AND it’s someone targeting Gale and Sam spesifically, NOT SIDNEY.

So, first obvious answer. Is this Stu? Honestly, I really don’t think so. Stu was never this obsessive, his end goal from the start was always just to have fun indulging in his dark desires, and because he loved Billy so much all he had to do was ask. Without a Billy, why would he be doing this? Especially to Billy’s daughter. Even if you want to go the route of he lived and is still full of that old hate, why would he be attacking Billy's daughter when presumably his motives would still be avenging Billy? At the end of the day, if Stu were to still be holding a grudge after all these years, his target would still be SIDNEY. Not Randy’s niece and nephew. Sure, Gale wrote the books that lead to the movies, which slammed the hell out of him, but his end goal has always been Sidney. Plus, the Ghostface we see in the trailers is someone who’s been training for this. They’re fast, agile, strong, they’re trying to be the ultimate killing machine. Even if we say that goofy ass Stu has been training all this time, he’s still at bare minimum, 44 years old. Sure, there’s some fit as fuck people in that age range out being commandos, but someone we know as a gangly stick tripping over his own feet? That and why would he collect stuff from the Stabs and murders not related to him? The Stab 3 case is the most prominant thing in that picture, and why would he track down and keep RICHIE's jacket? I love Stu to death, but it really doesn’t make sense that this is him as the killer.

A semi interesting theory, it’s Leslie Macher. She’s been there since day 1, she’d have some knowledge about Richie since her son was killed in the events of all that, and it’d make sense she’d have a grudge moreso focused on Gale since her books would have ruined her family. It’s implied her partner left her and she had to raise her son alone, if she kept the name Macher for any period of time she would have been hounded by people about what her brother did, given the way Stu seems genuinly upset about his parents finding out what he did it sounds like they were good people who’s lives would have been DESTROYED by what happened. If someone has a grudge against Gale, it’s Leslie. But she was Stu’s OLDER sister. All of the above about Stu’s age not matching the hardcore fitness killer we see apply to her moreso. Sure, she’d have the most direct access to things like Stu’s robes, sketches, the camera planted in her house, but how would she get her hands on all of the stuff not related to her brother. They don’t just let people walk into the police station and take evidence they’re not using anymore. It could be someone on behalf of Leslie, like how Mrs Loomis had her pet Mickey to run around and do the hard work while she cleaned up the mess, but that’s something we’ll just have to keep in mind until the movie comes out.

Another theory I’ve seen go around alot, it’s Sam’s new boyfriend Danny. Ok, kinda makes sense. Danny, like DBD Ghostface Danny, and the name of the irl killer than inspired Scream Danny. That has to be deliberate, or at least known by the film makers. But come on, are they really going to have “Ooo is it the boyfriend?!” for the 4th damn time. Plus with this focus on the history of the killings, why would the killer be just some random guy we met like 20 minutes ago? Unless Danny IS the little pawn mentioned in the above bit, but again are they really going to do the killer boyfriend song and dance *again*.

There's a neat theory it's Gale given this shrine is in New York, where she's lived the entire time, and she would have the means to get her hands on all this stuff since she’s the reporter who covered all these cases. But really guys come on, after all these years of getting shot and stabbed by these people, and getting the love of her live killed by one, is she really going to turn around now and go "You know, maybe they had a point". Plus, to go back to why I think it’s not Stu, Gale is even OLDER and has a far more messed up body. She's been shot in the gut at least 3 times now. There’s no way she’s our hardcore commando Ghostface. PLUS plus, the starting phone call of the movie is HER being attacked, so why would she stage that when no one would see it but us the audience?

So to round it all back. The killer is someone who knows and worships the history of those behind the ghostface masks. Given the ancient looking mask on display, they might even HAVE the original ghostface mask (or at least one of them, Billy and Stu used like 4 in that first film). They’re someone who could get their hands on things probably SIDNEY didn’t even know exsisted, like the sketches. This isn't just a Stab fan boy, this isn't just a Billy/Stu fanboy, AND it's someone who knows about what happened in the last movie even though they never made the names and motivations of the killers public.

WHO THE FUCK IS THIS GHOSTFACE???

This post will be fun to go back to in a month after the release of the movie lol.

I know this might be a bit off-topic from your usual content, but there's something about Cassian's relationship with Mor that really irks me...and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

His actions, like pulling away from Nesta's hand in ACOWAR, left me feeling frustrated and sympathetic towards Nesta. And then there's that whole thing in Wings and Embers where he's all secretive about Nesta with Mor and doesn't wanna tell her about Nesta, which gave off major mixed signals?? I mean, describing Mor as something between a lover and a friend, while also being like family? That was so confusing, how can she be all three to him? it just felt so ... inappropriate and I felt so bad for Nesta bc obviously she deserves someone who has only eyes for her.

But then in SF he says all romantic feelings turned into familial bonds after the incident so what was that about then in WaE and pulling his hand away in ACOWAR?

Also in WaE it sounded like he primarily slept with Mor out of jealouy but in SF it does seem like he did had romantic feelings towards her ? :/ ...

And when he thought in SF about how hauntingly beautiful Mor is and how it takes his breath away and that she is lovely and perfect .... it just drove me mad tbh because this sounded very romantic coded to me which made me feel so bad for Nesta.

I love this ask, Anon, and how detailed and specific it is. It is a question after my own heart! My response is long so it's after the break.

Thank you for saying you love my love for Nesta - that means the world to me. What I especially like about your ask is, it is about canon Nesta, who is the Nesta I most treasure, and by extension about canon Nessian. I sometimes feel like a lone voice in the drafty moors of Tumblr with my deep and abiding love for canon Nessian, so the fact that this ask lets me talk about them in canon makes me happy!

I have given this a lot of thought since receiving your question, and I'm not sure how satisfying parts of my answer will be, so my apologies in advance for the fact that I am not actually going to offer an explanation for how and why all the details you listed can co-exist in a single, utterly comprehensive whole for the Cassian-Mor relationship when Cass is unquestioningly Nesta's by the end of ACOSF.

Instead, here's why the lack of things utterly lining up for these three doesn't bother me in the long run, and only slightly bothered me during the pre-ACOSF / post-ACOFAS era.

It is clear to me as a reader that SJM pivoted in a significant way between ACOMAF and ACOWAR when it comes to Mor.

I came across a post recently that explains exactly my thoughts on this. The post focuses on the current ship war but the evidence in it describes how during ACOMAF it was clear Moriel (Mor and Azriel) was likely to be endgame, but then SJM shifted Mor's arc to where she was more attracted to women, which meant needing to retcon a lot (and unfortunately a lot of Mor's charm and nuance was collateral damage that I am still hoping SJM repairs).

I think Cassian in ACOMAF needs to be read in the context of a planned future love triangle of sorts between Azriel-Mor-Cassian, into which I do think SJM planned to throw Nesta as a big bomb that beautifully blows up Cass's corner of the triangle. But the parts in "Wings and Embers" where Cass says to the reader he is worried about what Mor will think about his fixation on this human woman, I think were meant to preserve some kind of angsty triangle for the next book, which SJM (thankfully) jettisoned. I hate love triangles so I honestly would not have been a fan if that had been where SJM landed.

Now, in ACOWAR and ACOFAS, I think the Mor stuff with Cassian gets a bit more confusing, so I agree with you there. Cassian doesn't know for sure Nesta is his mate until she screams for him during the Battle of Hybern at the end of ACOWAR, so the stuff before that - e.g., him removing his hand from hers - I read in a few ways. I think being buffer to Mor with Azriel all those years messed with his head a lot, and in a way, Mor finally coming to terms with her sexuality is a really solid catalyst for her beginning to distance herself from the triangle dynamic she was a part of for 500 years, which I think was more healthy for everyone involved.

But remember, Nesta is still proud and surly in ACOWAR, not in any inherently bad way but in a way that probably didn't signal to Cassian she was particularly interested in him, even as he was drawn to her like a magnet and couldn't keep away because part of him loves her claws so much. Cass rightly protects his own heart when he has the foresight to do so in ACOWAR and ACOFAS. I always knew they would work their shit out eventually, but during the messy process of doing so I don't begrudge him a little distance when Nesta, in her trauma response to what was happening to her and around her, sometimes lashed out at the strongest individual in her vicinity who she knew could take it like a boulder weathers the storm - that person was always Cassian for her.

When I first read ACOSF, I absolutely assumed going in that Mor was going to be catty about Nessian finally starting to get together. When she wasn't, it was jarring to me. But once I finished my first reading of ACOSF, I came to a striking conclusion about Mor, ACOSF, and SJM:

The story SJM needed to tell in ACOSF would not have been aided or forwarded by Mor intervening in the Nessian dynamic in a catty way, or being a foil to anything about Nesta in that story's arc.

In other words, SJM could have written a version of Nesta and Cassian's book that included Mor challenging Nesta's right to be with Cassian, but that was unequivocally NOT the book SJM wanted or needed to write (hopefully my double negative landed correctly here, lol).

So, SJM pivoted, and sent Mor to Vallahan, so SJM could write the story she needed to write. As a writerly choice, I adore everything about it - Nesta didn't need to be fighting with another woman over rights to her mate, she needed women friendships that were pure and gloriously blank slates upon which and with whom to write and tell her and their collective story - so SJM introduced Emerie and Gwyn. SJM even brought in Mor later to teach Nesta the waltzes, and their brief exchange in which Nesta called her Morrigan and Mor invited her to call her Mor, and Nesta accepted the invitation to do so, is another breathtakingly vulnerable moment for Nesta that fills my heart right up. To this end, the promise that Mor will begin to train with the Valkyries in the next book has me so excited.

Now, there are two lines in ACOSF I still want to comment on (then I'll reign in this very long post, lol). First, I agree that Cassian's observation in his pov of how breathtakingly beautiful Mor is at the cafe toward the start of the book can come off romantic coded, though for him at this point I don't think it is. But whether it is or not, we need to remember he and Nesta still have a whole book's worth of stuff to work through with their romantic relationship.

I suspect SJM included that moment in part to set up some stakes for the Nessian arc - that, although Cassian hasn't had sex since he met Nesta, he is still a man who is drawn to admiring a beautiful woman inside and out. If Nesta had already won his exclusive attention in this regard before any of their arc began in that book, what would be the point of the book? (By the end, I do think Cassian only has eyes for Nesta, and it is absolutely because they claim each other - I don't think in the long run he would have been able to settle for less, and nor should he have.)

And, since Nessian aren't in a relationship at that point in the cafe at the beginning of the book, I'm not mad at him for admiring Mor's beauty per say. I think if Nesta invited it then, he would admire hers a lot more, and with a much more deep seated attraction. ACOSF is about them both letting their inner barriers down to allow the other to love them, so that kind of attraction still needs to be earned between them at that point in their story. His observation about Mor's beauty is in a different category entirely from where Cassian eventually lands with Nesta, so there is nothing threatening about it for me.

The other line that feels weird to me most times I read it, is when Mor baldly tells Nesta early in ACOSF that she would have sent Nesta to live in the Court of Nightmares. The only explanation I have for this moment and exchange is that for SJM it was more in service of Nesta's arc, and less about making sense coming from Mor. What I mean here is, at that moment Nesta feels wretched and all things terrible about herself, and it's a feature of that kind of disordered thinking that others around you either seem to echo what you're thinking about yourself, or sometimes do echo it in reality, if through a trauma response you've hurt those around you (*she says from personal experience*), or if through their own trauma response those around you respond in kind (as I think may have been happening with Mor in this scene).

Do I love that Mor says something so cruel to Nesta in that moment early in Nesta's healing journey? No, I do not. Do I see why it helps to heavily charge these early scenes for Nesta as she truly hits rock bottom regarding her feelings about herself? Yes, I do.

Which leads me to how I'll conclude this. I hope SJM intentionally develops Mor's story so she isn't just a device in the story arcs of others. For better or worse, some kind of reckoning between her and Az needs to happen, likely in the next book, for either to truly move on. But I hope Mor gets the attention a character like her deserves in future books.

I am A-OK with her mostly-absence from ACOSF because I don't think she would have been a productive part of Nesta's healing arc, and at the end of the day that is the heart and soul of ACOSF for me - Nesta healing.

The reason ACOSF-Nessian has my whole heart is because, it's so clear to me the ways Cassian supports Nesta's healing and is the catalyst for a lot of her growth into a person who loves herself and sees herself as worthy and deserving of love and happiness.

If he was a bit of a hot mess in the period between first meeting Nesta and getting to finally be with her as accepted mates, I don't begrudge him that.

Why A Growing-Back-Together Short Story Would Make Sense For Collins to Write.

I think sometimes fandoms are (rightly so) hesistant to ask for more content. At times though I feel we forget to think about WHY do we want another story, that sequel or spinoff, to see if or not it should be made.

For the most part, the agreement I see is continued stories in a franchise NEED to have a reason behind them outside of just making more. The story needs to, at least, have an excuse other than fans request to be made. If the story has something to say, expanding upon themes in the previous installments and talking about some of it's own while also staying faithful to the OG story it works out great. Bonus, fans really enjoy it when it doesn't feel like a cash grab!

Now. I have not see the new Ballad film (YET!) but I have, in fact, read the book. Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes certeinly does the previously mentioned job of haveing a reason to be written. There is a clear message and story Collins wanted to dig into, expanding upon several of her previous themes and she did it VERY well. While also adding the theme of Nature Vs. Nuture and a few other unique themes I won't go into to. But all this to say, Ballad does it's job as a prequel and is a GOOD thing to be written.

Now. Why does this make me think a story set in the Growing Back Together phase with Katniss and Peeta and Haymitch is next? Well it's that idea of themes.

The Hunger Games is heavy on themes, it has a few majior ones, and touches on a lot of smaller ones. For the sake of this, I think we all can agree some of the biggest, most important themes in the orignal series is Propagada and the corruptive power and control of the Capitol and it's terrible effects, what role vengence plays in war or spesficially rebellion, and hope (and yes, love) being powerful and spesifically a healing force.

The BIG themes in Ballad are those first two. Young Snow is sees the beginning of controling the narrative of the Games, we see how this idea of making it fun and a show is formed and how he is the first one to use that. Though seeing the Capitol in it's early days, we see some of that idea of this cycle of war. How the Capitol feels justifyed with the Games while the war and what they suffered during it is fresh in their minds still. So. Two big themes expanded upon. Check.

That leaves hope, and it's healing force.

Ballad doesn't completely NOT talk about hope, but it is certeinly not a main focus nor is it really expanded on. So this theme is just sort of. Living in the orignal series. And it COULD just stay that way. Or, one of the most hopeful and healing parts of the story (Katniss and Peeta coming together, having their life together despite the Capitols efforts) could also be expanded on.

We could see the way hope begins and continues to help them through the worst days, how they pull one another up. How the love they have spur them on to choose to make and form a relationship based solely on truth and trust. The making of them coming back to life seperatly and together. All the healing that is mentioned but not expanded on in a single story. Focusing in on that theme of healing and hope.

We see Katniss broken at the end of the story, and are told she does put back her peices enough to have a really happy, peaceful life if not a perfect or scar free one without bad days. A story bridgeing that? I can see that being so uplifting. Seeing an example of someone coming to life and talking back freedom and joy after it's been stolen based on the beleif that it can and will be better. Yea. I think that could be very powerful.

Cause Katniss and Peeta ARE the heart of hope and healing in this series. To me, continueing some more of these themes in a new story almost would HAVE to include them in some way.

Now, notice I did mention a SHORT story. That has to do with my one and only hiccup in this defense of a GBT Short Story from Collins and it is the fact the ending was left vauge intentonally. And for a very good reason. It is just better, as a rule, to not neck down and spell out every little detail of ones endgame to allow fans their own space for freedom. However I do think a short story wouldn't wreak that to awefully and would leave fans with the ability to think about the ending their own way still. At least, it would do no more damage than Ballad did. As long as it is a shorter story that is done carefully.

Whew. That was a LOT, and I apologize for the text wall. So, what do you all think? Am I just making excuses for more Everlark canon bites, or is this point I am making holding water for you all? Let me know if you like!

Probably the paranoid and the broken, I won’t get too much into spoilers but the paranoid has patters that resemble a human nervous system (because hearts lungs livor nerves) I can’t really say much about him without spoiling a lot but he has a mask in half of his face which looks similar to the nightmare

Mans the broken will look similar to a biblically accurate angel way earlier (thrones and seraphim if you want spesific) I just like when people make the broken super angelic since he is paired with the tower princess, another thing I wanted to note is how the broken is the tallest (I’ve seen him be the shortest before but I wanted him to be able be seen by the tower princess easier in my og voice designs and I wanted to keep that in the swap au)

Probably the cheated too cus I make his design based off of a common male cuckoo which the stripes on its belly kind of look like blades to reference the razor having blades inside of her

Honestly I’m excited for everyone if someone asks I’ll probably describe every bird that each monster is based off of and why

There are a lot more Thames survived. They might be a small family, but many, those greedy for power, want them. It's because they are a family blessed by Gods. Each one of them have abilities that it said to be powerful, some even say that the powers are omniscience and/or omnipotence.

Each member have different ability, some might similar but never the same. In one generation, only one may have certain types of power. Only when they die, others member might be born with that certain power. There are never more than one member have same spesific power in a same generation.

Cale never know his family from his mother side. But, he know one person. It's his distant cousin who work as a maid in his house. No one but him and his mother know that they are related. Thames might be known to have red hair (an AU where someone born with red hair is most likely have Thames blood run in them), but there are cases when they don't. But all of them have same eyes color. Mixed blood Thames are likely to not awaken their power, it's very rare to happens.

Thames' abilities can be used by other people. How? There are two methods. The first method is by consuming the blood of the Thames who has the power you want. But it's only work temporarly depends on the abilities and the amount of blood consumed. The second method is by transplanting a Thames' heart into your body. But this method is very risky because Thames is not your ordinary human.

Cale power has things to do with time. That's why he is able to regressed and transmigrated and it's not a one time thing.

While his cousin's power has something to do with multiverse, where she can jump from one world into another. But only world similar to her birth world. Which mean other version of it. Usually, in one world can't exist two same soul, but with her power it's possible.

And it's possible for her to got all the information of the world she is in (how? Idk, she just do)

She can't jump to other world different than hers unless there is someone tied with her in that world. Meaning she can't jump into any earth or other world not tcf other version but she can jump into earth 1 since Heniroksoo is there.

But, since earth is added into her list because of Heniroksoo, she can jump into another earth but with many limitation such as she can only stay for few days at most

So, team 1 know that KRS (Heniroksoo) doesn't have any blood relative but one day, there is one girl who suddenly appear in their daily life and seems so close with their team leader.

What if, before the current LCF, there are many similar worlds where GoD and Nellan Barrow attempted to help?

They made many guide books from different perspective and picked different helps that started in many different points but it never work out. With the help of Cale's cousin, they attempt to safe the worlds many times

Until it's a succeed in the current LCF with the guide book, The Birth of a Hero, and the help, Kim Rok Soo

Remember that Cale's ability has to do with time? Yes, yes, Cale already regressed amd transmigrated into other bodies many time but he never remember any of it. He only has fragments of those memories he brushed off as dreams and so fast to forget.

Oh! The cousin jump world with only her soul and not her body. The body is being keep safe in one of those worlds and only Cale who know the location. He doesn't know know, but if he truly attempt to find it then he will surely find it somehow

Imagine, Cale who already done with the war and hunter bullshit can't get his slacker life because this damn cults popped out of nowhere and try to kidnapped him multiple times asking where is a body of someone is being keep as if he know it, wtf?!

After many attempts, they finally realized that Cale is not Cale and they need to find out where his original world is so they can bother Heniroksoo (they face this type of situation multiple times already)

You coaxed gently— and pecked his furrowed brow.

You needed to climb on the chair beside to do so— sometimes you hated his height because you were very short compared to him.

He suddenly cleared his throat— a small blush— then straightened the letter he was reading.

"Y/N. . ."

Even year into your courting— Mae found your affections— a little overwhelming. Elves barely involved themselves in physical affection.

But this is who you were— he couldn't ask you suddenly change yourself.

But in all honestly— as overwhelming as they were— they destressed him.

Mae didn't how react to them— and other than that it was rather easier to grow accustomed to it.

At first you were unsure— and left your hands unmoving on your lap— so your lover took the liberty of taking your small hands in considerably larger hands.

You loved comparing the sizes on your hands— your tiny hands easily slide into his palms, and he was easily maybe to close his fingers around them— and hold and shelter them tenderly.

You lovingly caressing his soft but large rough looking hands— oh how many times has these hands wielded a sword and went through battle.

But despite that— he was still able hold you with a tender care.

"Melda. . . I understand humans are different to —but that does not mean your affections are ill to me. They comfort me— they really do— I just. . .— I do not know what to do in return. . ."

He sighed— Mae watched your trace patterns smoothing on his hands and tried to follow.

"You know how much they— and you mean to me. . ."

He whispered— and smiled when you kissed his knuckles.

"You don't have to give me anything in return, Mae— I just hope you know that you're loved by me."

In all honesty— you knew you wouldn't reach eternity with your beloved elf— so you wanted to give him as much love as possible before you passed.

You knew the horror the oath brought him— you hoped you could shed a little light on his life through your care.

The lost his father and one of his twin brothers already and he had to leave behind a beloved and kind and courageous mother— his pain was great.

He spoke of Valinor to you— but as time passed it grew rarer and rarer— it was almost a distant memory— faded.

He repeated the phrase you used from your language— and you laughed.

"What?"

He frowned— but his smile didn't drop.

His firey blue eyes gleamed at the sound of your laughter.

He laughed.

"Then what's my princess?"

"Am not a princess. . ."

You laughed.

Mae crouched and placed his head on your forehead.

"But you're mine. . . my little light. . ."

"Always. . ."

You promised— even though the both of you knew it was not to be— but right now it didn't matter.

The moments you had mattered— the moments you shared and took him away from the oath— gave him peace, hope and somewhere to grief.

That's why he couldn't ask for someone better. . .
