i’ll never shut up about the fact that peeta never stopped loving katniss when he was hijacked.
i’ll admit it’s a romantic notion that he fell in love with her twice, but he never fell out of love in the first place.
he was tortured and conditioned to see her as a threat, which is part of why when his instincts of fight or flight (fight in his case) were muted by the morphling in 13, all that he was left with was confusion.
because why would the girl that he loves—she who had been actively fighting against his wishes by intending to sacrifice herself for him in the quell—ever turn on him?
why does he remember her as a mutt, threatening his life, when he also remembers the softness of her skin, the sweet scent of her hair, the way her lips part ever so slightly when she sleeps in his arms?
why does he see this small, unassuming girl as a terrifying creature, when he also recalls when he’d wake up from a nightmare of losing her, only for an overwhelming sense of relief to wash over him when he realises she’s still pressed against his chest from the night before?
it obviously takes him time to sort through the traumatic memories he relates to katniss, especially when some of them are real (i.e. her dropping the tracker jacker nest, her drawing her bow on him when she panics and thinks he’s going to kill her when they withdraw the 2 victors amendment, her revealing her feelings weren’t what she’d portrayed them to be), but the memories are there nonetheless, along with the feelings.
thanks for coming to my ted talk.

The Green family dynamics are so interesting because like, Viserys is the father but due to his decay he seems more like the grandfather, whereas Otto is the Grandsire but seems to fill out the role of a father more, not only to his daughter but also her children, so he and his daughter are a mother/father unit but in some situations Alicent is treated like a sibling to her children (by Otto) and then you have the obvious Helaena/Aegon happening (siblings who are also husband/wife and mother/father to their children), but at the same time it seems like Aemond is the one trying to be the family's protector and attempting to step up as patriarch, with some of the scenes between him and Alicent giving off the vibes of equals rather than Mother and Son (like when they discuss Aemond finding Aegon) and his relationship with Aegon seeming like he's the big brother and not the other way around, in this essay I will-

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

in light of recent canon academic conversations, riz adaine gorgug study sessions have never been more real to me. gorgug helps riz + adaine get out of their own heads when they’re overworking themselves, riz + adaine help gorgug with alternative studying methods because he learns best through visuals + experience. fabian’s there occasionally when he has a particularly difficult assignment/test but he makes them all swear never to speak of it in order to protect his “image.” kristen has shown up exactly twice: once for advice on a group project that was two months overdue & once to just lay on the floor and relax for an hour before leaving. fig didn’t know the study sessions were happening until sophomore year & now keeps getting monthly bans because every time she shows up she ends up accidentally distracting riz + adaine. also, sometimes after/in the middle of really long study sessions riz adaine & gorgug go to basrar’s together to unwind but fabian kristen & fig Are Not Invited (they do still text to ask if anyone wants something brought back from basrar’s. they’re not heartless, after all).

Something about how quickly and firmly Keeley told Jamie this wasn't his fault when he first started apologizing, and how Jamie persisted and in being like no, it is my fault, I need to tell you this, I need to explain. How genuine and honest he was with her (the part about how he thought Keeley and Roy only started dating to mess with him or get back at him was so loaded) and how desperately Keeley launched her arms around him.
Basically, I think both of them really, really needed that hug. And you can tell they both care about each so freaking much.
