Author's Comments: I just think that this is canon. Also I feel like I don't have to say this but just in case Reader is not Yuu. They teach at NRC. I think this turned out pretty well even though it was first time writing for a staff member? I don't think I'll do this often since I literally don't know how to write anyone except for Crowley so if there are any Crowley likers out there let me know LMAO I might write more of him idk yet.

It was no secret to you and the other faculty at Night Raven College that Crowley had a bit of a bird brain. He liked to spoil you in his own special way, with shiny rocks and pretty feathers and seashells presented to you with lovesick eyes. That man would do anything for your approval, and while it was endearing, it did get obnoxious sometimes.
Like, for example, when he slammed open your classroom doors with a rock in hand, setting it on your desk where you had been organizing papers. There were always little flecks of dirt that fell off onto the pristine white papers, but you sucked it up as he gloated. Or when you’d be in the middle of a lecture and he’d bust down your classroom doors again, holding a shimmering multicolored feather that he picked up off the ground somewhere. Your students would try to hide their laughter, and some, their exasperation, when he acted like you were the only person in the room. All he ever wanted was praise, and maybe a smooch if you were feeling generous (but you always refused the latter in front of the students. They did not need to see that, and the gall of Crowley to even ask was beyond you.)
It had left you flustered and reeling too many times to count, the little shoebox in the bottom drawer of your desk slowly growing full with his gifts.
And speak of the devil, he was here again.
The telltale fast paced footsteps outside your classroom had you rolling your eyes as you set down your pen. A loud thump at the door made you try to hold back laughter—that lovable idiot had run into the door again.
The door flung open with a strong gust of air, and standing there was Headmage Crowley in the flesh.
“Beloved!” he yelled enthusiastically, making a beeline for your desk.
“Yes, dear?” you looked up at him, an amused grin on your face.
“Here.” he beamed, placing a dented bottle cap on your desk.
Despite the grime, you had to give him credit. It was pretty shiny, and the design over the metal featured mostly your favorite color. It wasn’t hard to see why he’d picked it up for you.
“What do you want in return for it?” you shook your head, picking up the bottle cap and twirling it over your fingers.
“Nothing, of course! It's a gift out of my infinite kindness!” he gloated.
“That’s what you always say. Now come on, what would you like?” you stood up, walking around your desk to face him.
“...A kiss?” he chuckled, pointing at his lips excitedly.
“Of course.” you laughed, setting the bottle cap down on your desk.
Crowley was practically vibrating on the spot from how excited he was, the goofy grin on his face making your heart squeeze. He never failed to be absolutely adorable whenever you offered up affection—it made you wonder if the esteemed headmage of Night Raven College was secretly touch starved. Gently, you placed your hands on his shoulders and pressed your lips against his. Crowley’s hand found its way to the back of your head, the claws scratching against the skin tenderly. He really made for the best head massager sometimes.
You pulled away but he chased you, stumbling over his feet before he finally let you go. You were flustered once again as he smiled, seemingly satisfied with the state he’d left you in.
“Thank you, my dear.” Crowley cupped your face, kissing your forehead for good measure, “Would you mind if I made myself at home here for a while?”
“Of course not. I was grading papers though, so I won’t be able to pay you my full attention.” you hummed, turning away from him.
“That’s fine! I can help! After all, I am very kind. Oh, I’m so benevolent!” he beamed, radiating smugness.
“Naturally. Thank you, dearest.” you sat down to begin your work once again, the bottlecap glinting cheerfully in the candlelight of your classroom.

Day 3: Canon
Amidst the chaos and drama that perpetually surrounded the contestants in the latest season of Total Drama World Tour, an unexpected and heartwarming moment was about to unfold.
Noah, renowned for his sharp wit and relentless cynicism, possessed an entirely unanticipated facet to his personality. When sleep overcame him, he unwittingly became "the cuddler," an endearing nickname bestowed upon him by his fellow competitors. Noah had a tendency to snuggle up to anyone or anything within arm's reach, a quirk that had provided much amusement during the competition.
In an unusual twist of fate, Alejandro, the suave and manipulative contestant, found himself seated next to Noah during a long flight. Alejandro was accustomed to female contestants vying for his attention, using proximity to him as a strategic move in the game. However, what he was about to experience was a very different kind of attention.
As the plane soared through the skies, the hum of the engines and the rhythmic turbulence began to lull Noah into a slumber. His eyelids grew heavy, and he yielded to the temptation to close them. Gradually, he let his head fall onto Alejandro's shoulder, his gentle snores blending with the plane's ambient noise.
Alejandro, who had initially been composed and aloof, felt an unexpected warmth envelop him. He cast a sideways glance at Noah, who had now encircled his arm around Alejandro's, gently holding it in a vulnerable and innocent embrace. It was a side of Noah that no one had witnessed before—a side devoid of sarcasm and cynicism.
Ordinarily, Alejandro would have seized upon this situation, attempting to manipulate it to his advantage in the game. Yet, on this occasion, he found himself uncharacteristically flustered. His heart quickened, and he couldn't resist stealing furtive glances at Noah's peaceful countenance. Alejandro observed the rise and fall of Noah's chest with each breath and found himself intrigued by the person behind the cynical facade.
As time passed, Alejandro's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Should he awaken Noah and end this unexpectedly intimate moment? Or should he allow it to persist, secretly relishing the unforeseen connection that had blossomed between them?
As Alejandro grappled with his flustered state, the situation took an entertaining turn. Owen, the lovable prankster, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease Alejandro.
Owen, with a mischievous grin, noticed Alejandro and Noah in their unique predicament. He gave Alejandro a sly thumbs-up and began making exaggerated kissing noises, setting off peals of laughter from his equally eccentric partner, Izzy.
Alejandro's glare intensified, and he shot Owen an irritated look. However, he bit his lip, determined not to awaken Noah. He couldn't afford to let the other contestants see him rattled or off his game.
Izzy, blissfully unaware of Alejandro's inner turmoil, joined in Owen's playful antics, mimicking kissing noises and adding to the laughter that had now spread throughout the plane. The entire cabin seemed to be reveling in this unexpected spectacle.
As the laughter and teasing continued, Alejandro couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief.
Summoning his courage, Alejandro attempted to reciprocate Noah's gesture, feeling his heart racing in his chest. The tension in the air was palpable as he raised his trembling arm, intending to place it around Noah and create a more comfortable sleeping position for him.
Just as Alejandro's arm was on the verge of making contact, Noah began to stir. His eyelids fluttered open, and he slowly sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Alejandro froze in place, his arm suspended awkwardly in mid-air. His cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he fervently hoped that Noah had not noticed his intentions.
Luck, however, did not favor Alejandro on this occasion. Noah, now fully awake, stretched and yawned, deciding to head to the bathroom, completely unaware of the close call he had narrowly avoided.
Alejandro remained seated, his mouth slightly ajar, his arm still trembling in the air. He couldn't believe how close he had come to revealing his vulnerability, and he was left in a state of confusion regarding his own emotions.
Meanwhile, Owen and Izzy, thoroughly amused by the situation, couldn't contain their laughter. They exchanged gleeful glances and shared hearty chuckles at Alejandro's expense. Alejandro, feeling flustered and frustrated, couldn't help but berate them in Spanish, expressing his irritation.
Amid the laughter and commotion, Noah, who was in the bathroom, splashed cold water on his face to wake himself up fully. The distant sounds of yelling and laughter reached his ears, and he couldn't help but wonder what had transpired in his absence.

Okay I wanna preface: Not every post is gonna be this detailed, I didn't even intend to go on this long with just one episode but I lost track of time. Some posts I'll be short & sweet. Some I'll be long winded to a comical degree. Depends on my feeling.
I think I'll just keep it to one paragraph per episode, & only pull out the long rambles when I finish a season. I think that'll work. Yeah.
Okay so I have no idea who any of these people are because I literally just started but one of these guys is a lizard. I'm a huge sucker for lizard people in anything ever so I immediately like this fucker. He's a lizard, that is all I need. He's just instantly cool because lizards are fucking rad as hell dude.
So Cat-Ra speaks, that first fucking line of hers.
The fucking "Hey Adora"
The first fucking thing I said to myself, out loud, was the immediate reaction I had to that line: "Oh so they're gay."
I don't know if it's like canon or not but one of the things I know about this show is people ship them a lot. I have no idea if that's actually like a canon thing in the show or not but I've seen a lot of fanart of them so I know people at the very least WANT them to kiss or hold hands or get married & buy a house in the suburbs & raise like 5 kids & watch Shrek on VHS & talk about doing their taxes or whatever idk.
That being an actual thing in the show itself? Uh I guess I'll see what happens so who the fuck knows man. Maybe they just explode idk.
But like....dude. DUDE. The fucking way Cat-Ra said it was just....
SO fucking extra like that immediately felt fruity to me. I'm already getting that vibe from her. On top of that, the way her & Adora continue to interact in the episode also give off a very distinct vibe, a rather, ahem, 'fruity' vibe. I think I'm already getting the idea of why this ship is popular. I do believe I see the vision.
Also, quick tangent, I LOVE the way the animators animated Cat-Ra like an actual cat. Her hair getting puffed up when she's agitated, her ears moving to reflect her mood. Her eyes dilating like how cat eyes actually do. THEY EVEN ALSO MADE HER PURR LIKE AN ACTUAL CAT, LIKE SHE AUDIBLY CAN BE HEARD PURRING. THAT'S SUCH AN ADORABLE DETAIL & IT MAKES HER IMMEDIATLEY ENDEARING AS FUCK.
Also I guess it makes sense Cat-Ra would be into women, yeah?
Because it makes sense that CAT-Ra would be interested in PUSSY.

Now moving on, let me talk about this BITCH.
One. Compared to the original Shadow Weaver, they sure did make her a way more intimidating villain.

Hi so I immediately love you?? Like instantly my favorite character just from the design alone. Glimmer is so real honestly.
I also like Bow, like, Bow is just so fucking cool & nice? He's such a real one, I wanna be best friends with him & hang out he's just so lovable like he's just awesome. I love this man immediately. He deserves all the good in the world actually.
Also holy shit the contrast between Bow in the original show vs this reboot design.
It's funny, the original design WAY more gay than the new one.
The new one that a lot of people (and by people I mean homophobic douchenozzles.) complained about, the design for Bow in this supposedly 'woke tumblr sjw cartoon' has a design that is far less homoerotic in it's design & feel.
The original Bow just outright looks like a fucking gay pornstar.
He's got the trademark 'Gay Porno Mustache™' & everything.
Okay so there's a magic sword or something, etc.
They mentioned Eternia.
Okay so, one of the reasons the original she-ra was lame as fuck compared to He-Man? No Skeletor.
Hordak & literally all the villains in the original show suck ass.
They fucking suck. Hordak is just Skeletor but boring & shitty.
Why the FUCK did they not take the oppurtunity to replace Hordak with Skeletor? You don't even need to add He-Man, I'm fine with that.
But You could have just taken She-Ra & added a better villain because Skeletor fucking rules. He calls people boobs. That's fucking awesome & cool. WHERE IS HE? WHERE THE FUCK IS SKELETOR?
LOOK SHOW. HORDAK WAS FUCKING LAME AS FUCK.
SO IF THIS REBOOT IS GOING TO CONVINCE ME THAT HORDAK IS IN ANY WAY A LEGITIMATELY COOL VILLAIN, THEN THEY BETTER FUCKING PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS BECAUSE IT'S GONNA TAKE A LOT TO CONVINCE ME THAT THEY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF JUST USING SKELETOR INSTEAD. LIKE, YOU BETTER FUCKING IMPRESS ME BECAUSE OTHERWISE, THE LACK OF SKELETOR IS GONNA BE A HUGE FLAW THAT YOU CANNOT OVERLOOK.
I mean, so far they managed to make me actually LIKE Cat-Ra, & the original Cat-Ra fucking sucks. Shadow Weaver sucked & so far at least this reboot Shadow Weaver is actually intimidating. But man, you better fuckin' impress me show, because the lack of Skeletor is felt deep within my soul.

Okay I see why everyone said this show is gay now.
Anyways I didn't mean to ramble on this long about the show in just one episode, I promise this is gonna be a rare occurrence. I think from now on, I'll keep it shortened to just one paragraph per post. I'll only pull out these long posts when I finish a season or something.

My top 10 fic picks from 2022
(all updated or completed in 2022, in no particular order)
This was the year of devouring content from new favorite authors. Special shoutout to @outdean and @urne-buriall . Right Where you Left Me and spirit of the west are on track to becoming new fandom classics, methinks.
1. Right Where You Left Me by outdean (@outdean), 93,581 words, E, destiel, canonverse
Cas comes back from the empty 10 years after his death, only to find Dean married (to a man! gasp!). Heartache ensues, but not without a heartwarming end. Warning for (spoilers!) infidelity and emotional abuse from a spouse. Last year's serial fic of Tumblr was Cheapest Room in the House, and this year's was no less beautiful and engaging. What I especially loved about this fic was the sense of community and excitement it spurred in the fandom. It was so fun logging into tumblr after every update for collective squee and memes. What's also particularly praiseworthy about this story is outdean's sense of character. Not only are Dean and Cas authentic and oh-so tangible, but so are the other cast of characters: Jack is especially endearing, but also convincingly adult and complicated. And Dean's husband, although delicious to hate, is also a little difficult to hate, too. At its heart, RWYLM is an unerringly human tale, zits and all.
2. spirit of the west by teen_dean (@urne-buriall), 140,680 words, M, destiel, AU
Beautifully atmospheric, at times brutal, at times gentle - this 1990's horsegirl!Dean fic is one for the ages. Dean is 18 and lonely on his father's horse farm - that is until his childhood friend, Cas, returns to town, and they quickly fall into the kind of intimacy that's titillating, tantalizing, and terrifying all at once. TW for strong themes of domestic abuse and PTSD, also homophobia and animal death. The prose is charming and lyrical. The characters are lively and full. It's the kind of writing that's so detailed and visual, you feel like a participant in the story, not just a spectator. Despite the darkness and fear in Dean's life, with Cas by his side (and a host of other lovable characters), he grows to accept love from others and for himself. This is more than a coming-of-age novel. It's also a story about hope: in the face of cruelty, there will also be unfailing kindness.
3. so much smoke in the hall of mirrors by AreYouReady (@autisticandroids), 6,232 words, E, pre-destiel/one-sided destiel, canonverse
Dark. Dark. Dark. But also disturbing and alluring in the best possible ways. It's season 6, and Cas is lured steadily further from the light by Crowley and the pressures of the Angelic civil war. To blow off some steam, he creates a Dean sex-doll out of living flesh. Warnings are well-listed in the tags, but include non-con voyeurism, dehumanization, and torture. Although the premise is bleak, this fic is a fascinating and believable dive into Cas's characterization pre-godhood powertrip. Well worth the read if you don't mind a little moral ambiguity with your morning wheaties.
4. Dateverse by aeli_kindara (@gravelghosts), 47,057 words, 3 works, E, destiel, canonverse
After the Mrs. Butters business, Dean asks Cas on a date. Warnings for typical Dean bad headspace, but there's plenty of fluff to soothe our (and Dean's) ills. aeli_kindara is an author whose careful writing perfectly suits Dean's caution as he pursues Cas and navigates a relationship within their emotional pitfalls and chaotic surroundings. What I especially admire about her writing is her use of motifs: photographs in the first story, memories in the second, and sunsets in the last. The third installment is waylaid by the events of the final few episodes of the series, but the fic seamlessly blends canon and fresh events into a believable and satisfying happy ending. Also, Dean goes to therapy! What's not to love?
5. where black stars rise by teen_dean, (@urne-buriall), 27,770 words, T, destiel, canonverse
This case fic carves through the grand, sweeping mysteries of the universe like the Sidewinder Canyon through the desert. No specific warnings other than that very distinct, unnerving state of mind you enter while driving alone at night, darkness and pin-prick stars above you, and it feels like you're nothing but an infinitesimal speck of dust on the cusp of eternity.... Anyway, this fic follows Dean and Cas on the trail of several missing persons on a canyon trail in Arizona, unobtrusive until time and space, itself, unravels at the seams. Teen_dean plays with words and the cosmos like Play-Doh, molding an ethereal, enthralling story that rocketed up to one of my favorite fics of all time.
6. iconography by foccacciabread (couldn’t find a tumblr), 3,578 words, G, Mary and Dean centric, canonverse
A simple enough premise: Mary finds old photographs of herself on Facebook. Cue family heartache, the punishment of lost time, and navigating old wounds. How to be a son when your mother isn't who you thought she was? How to be a mother when your child is dead but somehow still alive, but so, so changed? No warnings, but heavy angst.
7. Dont Stop, Make It Pop by dumbassnatural (@dumbassnatural), 34,661 words, WIP, T, destiel, canonverse
Cas accidentally becomes a tik tok sensation, and Jack uses his technological and business savvy to make his dad a star. Both parts sweet and earnest, this story starts with a silly premise and takes it to surprisingly heartwarming places. No warnings other than the fact this is a WIP that hasn’t been updated since January, but it does leave off in a place that isn’t hard to extrapolate what might comes next.
8. in present tenses by focacciabread, 31,463 words, E, destiel, canonverse
After getting Cas back from the Empty, Dean decides the smartest move to guarantee Cas doesn’t ever leave him again is to just start sleeping with him. It’s what Cas wants, right? And it won’t do any further psychic damage to Dean, right? Right? Surely it will not have any negative effects whatsoever on their relationship. Warnings for bad Dean headspace throughout. There are a couple fics with this premise floating about, but I was especially drawn to focacciabread’s evocative writing and convincing Dean internal monologue. We love a messy boy.
9. AITA for disapproving of my brother's high sex drive? by birdsofthesoul (couldn’t find a tumblr) and PlaidIsTheBestPattern (@cacophony-of-notions), 3,907 words, T, implied destiel, canonverse
This one also made its rounds on Tumblr, so you’ve probably already read it, but it’s an absolutely delightful, only partially serious take in Dean and Sam’s Reddit Rivalry and that particular brand of moralizing found in online spaces. It does what all the best “crack taken seriously” fics do, which is gives us an amusing premise but never deviates from the voices of these characters we know so well. Very mild warning for homophobia. Also be sure to read the rest of the AITA series.
10. peace came upon me (and it leave me weak) by outdean (@outdean), 73,773 words, E, destiel, canonverse
After Cas gets taken to the empty, Dean gets sober. Cas comes back a year later. Problems ensue. This one deals seriously and carefully with addiction and alcoholism, especially heavy mistakes done under the influence. Dean has a lot of growing to do and a lot to atone for, and he isn’t let off the hook easy. Cas has his own journey as he learns to forgive Dean for passed mistakes and navigate a future life with the man he’s in love with. It’s not an easy path, and it’s not an easy story to read, but it’s well worth it. Outdean navigates serious issues with finesse and delicacy that’s wonderful to observe.
Honorable mention:
Pater by TaraxcumWine, (couldn’t find a tumblr), 184,366 words, E, destiel, AU
I recced this as a WIP last year, but it finished posting early in 2022. I didn’t want it to take up a spot again, but I can't help but mention it. It’s a thoughtful, intricate, and beautiful look in Dean and Cas’s relationship from their first meeting to present day. It deals with heavy themes of child abuse, past non-con, mental health issues, homophobia, etc. so tread carefully. This is especially recommended for those who liked spirit of the west or my own silver linings series, as it deals with similar themes. It’s very well worth the read despite the hefty length.

I love the contrast between the two things that my mind has really latched onto from season 2 of "Back to the Rock," because on the one hand... Episode 5, "I'm Pogey!", was just so meaningful to me. I love Wembley, he's been my favorite fraggle since the days of the original and the rebooted take on him still holds that title, and as someone who is fluid in his own gender presentation it was very heartwarming seeing Wembley, a character I often call "such a mood," be a big part of the episode handling this topic. And then on top of the more implied and vague stuff (which, let me be clear, is not a complaint, it was all handled perfectly imo) you have Pogey, the first Henson Studio character I'm aware of to be canonically, explicitly they/them non-binary. I already found them so endearing last season, and the reason they are proud of their name and love to share it really, deeply resonated with me.
...And then on the other hand, it seems every season I'm just destined to be surprised by my interest in a new fraggle (or similar!) character with a connection to Mokey and voiced by a guest star. I didn't find Pryce quite as lovable as Lyle, but I still really like him. (Gee, my favorite modern character is Louie Duck and I like the green character doing a capitalist hustle, who woulda thought?) But the other thing with Pryce is the questions he raises! He comes from a different community of fraggles where "this for that" is the norm, and I just want to know more about that!
Shoutout to my bonus obsessions of the season, Ma Gorg getting the character glow-up I always longed to see her have in the original show, and of course, the affection between Gobo and Wembley being shown even more and in even sweeter ways. I really didn't think things could get gayer between them after Night of the Lights, but nah, Back to the Right seems determined to spoil the small (but currently feasting) group of fans shipping them. Love it.
And just in general, this season was great. It felt both even more entertaining and even more important in the messages it looks to teach youngsters (and hopefully adults too) than the first, which already did so much in both regards.

Day 19: My Heart Beats 'Till Overdrive @arcvmonth
I really like Yugo. He has such a likable and fun personality that it makes him really endearing and fun to watch. It's funny to think back to Yuto's flashback where he first encountered Yugo. A lot of fans thought that he'd be a more serious character, but then he gets mad at a pole for being in his way and yelled at people to stop being unconscious after he defeats them in a duel. It's just kind of funny how he turned into more of a lovable goofball kind of character instead. He has some good running gags with his name and mixing up Rin with Yuzu and Serena. Even the latter does a good job in showing how much he really misses Rin too. While he doesn't get to interact with a lot of the cast for most of the series, I really liked his relationship with Yuzu. They had solid chemistry and felt like fast friends. Yugo crying when he thought that Yuzu was dead was really touching and showed how much he cared about her too. Yugo had some pretty solid and memorable duels throughout the series too. His match against Sawatari was just fun and having Yuya and Yugo sync up together for the first time was really cool too. His duel against Serena was great and allowed her to understand Yuya's ideals more after enjoying a duel that she still ultimately lost. His duel against Rin was emotional and quite surprising too.
Of course, his rivalry and interactions with Yuri led to some really great and funny moments. Yugo can be hotheaded and has a bit of a one track mind, to the point where he doesn't really factor in anything or anyone else around him. Choosing to fight Yuri at Academia instead of going to look for Rin with Ed made sense with his personality in mind. This is the same person who was so caught up in fighting Yuto that he didn't really register that Yuya was there until well after the fact, completely abandoned the Friendship Cup once he saw Yuri and didn't really attempt to help Serena once he got a chance to face Yuri as well. After all of his attempts to get Yuri back for kidnapping Rin, Yugo wouldn't want to let him go again. He was too focused on defeating his opponent to where that became more of a priority, even over saving Rin himself, which does sound a lot like Zarc in a sense. It was still sad to see Yugo lose to Yuri, but there was really no other way their duel could have ended. They had already hyped up Yuri a lot and they definitely wanted Yuya vs. Yuri to happen.
While I think that Yuya and Yugo could have clicked well with each other, I think it was a smart move to keep them separated until the last stretch of the series. I don't think that their dragons fighting each other in the third opening theme necessarily meant that they originally planned for them to duel. We've had misleading openings/endings in the franchise before and the second Arc V opening had that LDS missile too. Given that the Dragon Boys duel each other most of the time they come across each other and the defeated one is absorbed, I don't think it would have worked out well for them. If they had dueled in the Friendship Cup, then regardless of who would have won, they would have become 75% Zarc. Yuya already had a difficult time being 50% Zarc for most of the series. I think Zarc being so close to reviving would have made things extremely worse for everyone. I think that their personalities could have bounced nicely off of each other and their shared friendship with Yuzu could have been a way for them to bond as well, but I don't think that would have mattered given that whoever lost their duel would have been absorbed by the other. Yuya and Yuto were eventually able to connect with each other, but losing to Yugo still led to Yuto merging with Yuya too. While I wouldn't consider Duel Links canon to the anime for a few reasons, it is nice to see being able to interact in that game.

Alastor and Vaggie (one was instant and the other slowly grew on me and now i legit can't choose)
Alastor is a trickster with standards, he punches up, confronts bullies, but honestly he's just so cute i automatically forgive him any crimes. Bonus points for helping me realize being affectionate with friends doesn't ruin your bad boy persona, it shows you're secure in it. Don't redeem him it's demon cruelty!
Vaggie is a tragic reformed soldier who desperately tries to repent for her war crimes; the juxtaposition of regular tough attitude and complete guard dropping for Charlie endeared me to her a lot. 'Whatever it takes' came up and i was like oooowww~
Also this scene before the final battle where she tells other hotel residents to save themselves cause "We.. I can't protect you anymore". She CARES
The funny thing is that Vaggie and Alastor share that strong preference to only socialize with women (me too! i feel so seen!) but CAN'T STAND each other

It's a crime it wasn't given more episodes; it's so tightly packed that even if i have some issues with pacing and priorities, i can't imagine HOW it can be rearranged without loosing important elements that are there already. I also firmly believe that fast story is better than less story so i'm against "just cut stuff out" approach

— The reason you end up in Heaven or Hell is that deep inside you're sure you deserve to go to Heaven or Hell (stole this idea from tumblr). That's how Adam ended up where he did. And sir Pentious unlocked a new mechanic cause he was exposed to the idea of redemption by Charlie (my 5 cents)
— There're more former exorcists in Hell besides Vaggie, and Carmilla saw them
— Rosie will teach Charlie how she made Cannibal town that nice of a place
— Alastor killed the most cruel and ruthless overlords, that's why the more decent ones, like Zestial / Carmilla / Rosie accepted him into the club (fandom commonplace)
— Alastor didn't kill Husk but kept his soul cause Husk wasn't that bad of a person in his overlord days and Alastor actually likes having him around
— Alastor doesn't own Nifty's soul
— Nifty is actually crazy powerful, she just wasn't properly motivated to unleash it on anyone yet

Charlie did her best in Masquerade and as an untrained group therapist at the Hotel, cut the girl some slack, she does learn from mistakes

Rewatching One Piece after all this time is interesting because there are enough moments where your like "God Luffy your are such an endearable idiot" but then other moments where the endearable idiot has these small moments of shocking creativity that actually, like, make an interesting amount of sense?
Like rewatching the Laboon episode where they're all trying to avoid hitting Laboon as they're coming down reverse mountain but their rudders broken so they're struggling to turn. And Luffy, lovable idiot luffy, somehow has a moment where he remembers roughly how the laws of momentum work and fires the front canon in order to give enough backward force to slow the ship down and its just...
Like i mean that'd likely never work irl but in fiction land? Thats pretty damn clever. LIke damn.

What made you ship it?
Honestly, it was an old fic by @amaronith that had literally like, one mention of HarryFlash, but that's all I needed. Ama is one of my most trusted Spidey writers, and while it wasn't for years more than I would start shipping them in earnest, she kind of planted the seed.
Hilariously, similar to my thoughts on Parksborn, it was an early issue of ASM that made me really love the idea of them - Flash throwing himself (stupidly) at Kraven to try and protect Harry is just so funny and endearing. I love him. He's DUMB.
(Amazing Spider-Man #47, Lee & Romita... you guys have no idea how much I want to own this issue.)
I think also though I'm really intrigued by the idea of HarryFlash because Harry is soooooo different from literally everyone else I ship Flash with. BUT. The more and more I read, the more I'm just like "well I guess Harry is just the exception because he's just that special and amazing and lovable".
What are your favorite things about the ship?
I'm not gonna lie - there's a lot of hints throughout the text about Harry having had a crush on Flash in early college and maybe even high school. And I think it's adorable.
(Amazing Spider-Man (2015) #13.. thanks, @hellomystraightlacedfriend ! Hilariously, this is both a Parksborn and a HarryFlash moment. I really couldn't lose with this stupid joke.)
There's also THIS silly moment from Untold Tales #4 which is like... Harry. Mr. Osborn. How would YOU be able recognize at a glance a football star from another school. Boy you are not that into sports. Are you on Flash's MySpace. Are you?
Anyways I know that's a stretch but I just think it would be funny.

Overall I just think they're really cute and they have so much history, and such a long, long, LONG friendship. And Flash clearly adores Harry. There's nothing Flash wouldn't do for him.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I don't think this ship is popular enough for any of my opinions to be unpopular. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't understand where this ship is even coming from, because it's not hardly hinted at in almost any adaptation. But like all my ships, I would never want to see HarryFlash exist in a vacuum. I still would want all their other canon relationships to have happened, particularly for Harry, because his family is really important to me. Similar to how I feel about Parksborn, the journey of their relationship is critical in my eyes.
I also have not one but two Flash/Venom Symbiote/Harry WIPs right now so.. like.. LOL. I'm pretty sure that's not popular at all. Fortunately, I don't care that much what people think about my ships.
"Why Harry?"
There was no malice or exasperation in the symbiote's question; just genuine curiosity. It rarely, if ever, objected to Flash's choice of partners, and certainly had access to the full array of his memories about them. But sometimes it did seek clarification, and Flash was happy to provide.
"What do you mean?" he asked aloud as he carefully dusted a shelf. On it sat a small, nondescript box, a Spider-Man lapel pin, and a couple framed photos. "Why did I ask Harry out on a date?"
"He is… very different from your usual choice of partners."
"So are you, pal."

I'm convinced that Rick is literally inherently like some sort of deranged spoiled overly sensitive person to the point of borderline dysfunctionality, and because of this extreme sensitivity, he quite literally needed a person with a certain type of personality like Diane to keep him grounded- and without her, he's like an erratic array of nothing but incredibly sensitive emotional neurons and crippled with loneliness and erratic emotion and barely able to keep himself grounded.
After seeing Rick theoretically be an incredibly cocky independent badass it's so endearing (in a really pathetic way) to imagine him being the lazy one in the relationship, which seems to be what was suggested with what he had with Diane. He said he worked with FEDS right before he met Diane but when she dies he is just playing around in his garage and when she comes out and asks him what he's doing he's saying that he might be "giving up on the whole science thing", and now that we know that was Diane smart enough that she was studying her Masters in something science related, she probably had a really good job and was ranking in bank, which probably means that they could switch off every now and then in terms of who was bringing in the money.
Right before Diane was dead, it seemed like Rick was taking a time off from helping other people out with his own intelligence to basically... play around in the garage, while Diane was probably off doing a just as equally important job as much as Rick had before to support the two of them while he explored himself. She probably loved him enough that she allowed him to simply have the time to experiment and to explore his intelligence just for the sake of it. It might be part of the reason why by the time she died, he was aware about how much he was capable of: or at the very least was far more aware of it then he was when he was just working with FEDS and helping fairly averagely intelligent people out.
I know that it's not necessarily real, but I think that it's interesting that Diane had a little pout on her features and told Rick that he didn't deserve her, and considering that it was basically confirmed by the writers that it was as canon as much as it ever could be anyway for a dead character, and that Morty has Rick's brain downloaded with this past, I'm going to assume that it's pretty much all true to fact with what their marriage was like.
Rick to the present day has already been a complete ass in his relationship with Morty-in a really, really pathetic toxic way. It's almost incredibly endearing how drunk and complacent he is; as long as it was with a partner that knows how to deal with it rather than a confused helpless 14-year-old boy. Might have ended up being the same long-term even if he had been with Diane-not because he doesn't love her, but it just seems to be inherent in his "edgy melodramatic drooly hypersensitive princess, spoiled kid in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory" personality that he has going on, which we've seen a lot this season ❤️ (I know he's been depressed but regardless, he's pretty much always been that way). Like Morty has said himself, he's like a spoiled 8-year-old kid. But it's endearing to imagine a independent, smart, but oddly sweet woman like Diane keeping him down from falling too much into that part of himself and keeping him together.
Granted, the only reason why it's so lovable when it comes to Rick is because you know how actually competent he is if it was an actual problem how lazy he is, and ultimately in the ways that count he actually does have a good graceful heart (like with the way that he's constantly cutting Jerry slack); but I get major pillow princess vibes from him and from Diane. He's such a spoiled little wreck ❤️
When he whacked his toe while running around with Summer earlier in the season and then jumped up and down and scream "my ankle", he gave off such spoiled little boy vibes. He definitely needs a good self-respecting strong sense of self woman like Diane to remind him how about being at least someone respectable with that natural little spoiled pillow princess personality he has.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Jokes aside, I do like Kise a lot. He is also spectacularly annoying. But also in a way that is sort of endearing to me, because it reminds me of my sister a lot... It's this specific way of communicating where the person leaves the responsibility of interpreting how serious they are, to the other person, because nearly everything they say is delivered with this "I might be joking or I might be serious" kind of demeanor. That drives me nuts. That's like a special kind of poison to an autistic person, especially since I tend to default to seriousness. So, watching Kise has me sighing and rolling my eyes a lot.
Also the way eeeverything just haaaas to be a show. Reminds me so much of my sister too. Like, can you people even enter a room in a normal way sometimes? Yes, alright, you're funny in the right time and place, but. People will love you even if you're not constantly performing. I daresay they will love you more. I guess this is also special kind of taxing for me, because it's just unnecessary sensory information I have to process and my tolerance is limited so it's not nice when someone overwhelms me with things that are not necessary, and I have to sort out the relevant information from the mess. I get that this makes communication more stimulating for some people but for me it actively prevents me from communicating well, so, it's an unfortunate clash of needs.
I may not be doing a very good job at convincing you I like Kise right now, but I do. He's genuinely heartwarming and I think his character arc speaks for itself. Also when you see a pattern in a character that reminds you of someone you love deeply, those annoying things somehow turn into positives, because the person who they remind you of is lovable to you with all of their annoying quirks? So, in a sense you love that character because they're annoying and not despite of it? You actually end up enjoying being annoyed by them? Does that make sense?
Kise is also sympathetic to me because I grew up right next to so many popular people, seeing how their life is far from the glory jealous people always thought it was, so while I love to troll Kise in my fics, because he's just so trollable I can't resist, I also want to give room for his insecurities and further growth. I also like to write him, because I think there are many things Kuroko can learn from him if he stops resisting it. I personally understand why Kise's way of expressing himself slows down that process with someone like Kuroko but I would really like to see them improve their communication beyond what canon did. I would like to see Kuroko ask and accept direct help from Kise in some things and I would also like to see Kise resist the urge to turn it into a personal show. I think they could have a lot more fun together if both got a little bit more over themselves.
I have really fun plans for Kise in my stories, actually I'm just about to write him in a much bigger role than I have until now, so that's gonna be interesting, and I think it will overall highlight the best aspects of his character and his growth.

Idk if I'm super late to this or if I missed a response, but I'd like to hear your thoughts about Roberto Crinkletop being Robert Crumplebottom. I'm not sure how I feel about it and would be happy hearing somebody else's opinion
You are not late on this nor did you miss a post from me about Roberto, but oh boy do I have thoughts! LOTS of them! I forgot about EA's atrocious little video until this ask remined me. Thank you!
I considered making a whole lore post on Agnes and I still might - but this whole thing with Roberto has re-contextualized her lore in the most inconsistent way, in my opinion. It has also discouraged me from wanting to talk about her. No surprise there though - they have fumbled the ball with lore in TS4 time and time again, and I think I am apart of a minority that just doesn't want them to address it any more. Even the slight mention of the Landgraabs in their most recent livestream made my skin crawl in the worst way. I just wish the Sims team would just stop pandering to a fanbase they do not care about in order to seem like they're putting thought into these families when they make them (spoiler: it's clear they don't put that much thought into them, if any at all. I truly believe they used to care, but that has been lost to time and that's why the games just aren't the same as they used to be. Trying to fuck with preexisting families, like the Goths for example, is only ruining what made them good in the first place... but I digress.)
Basically though, I'll sum it up now by saying that it seemed to be canon that the death and/or disappearance of Agnes' husband is what made her turn sour and callous (grief is what made her the person she is today, grief and loss made her hate romance). But then that wretched video drops and they decide to portray young Agnes as this mean, naggy wife that her poor husband (eye roll...) had to escape from? It even feels like they're insinuating that she was actually abusive because he says coming to Chestnut Ridge and becoming a nectar maker literally saved his life. Like holy shit! Just seems really fucking dumb to me if we're being honest!
It's just lazy writing, and it doesn't make sense with what we know of Agnes from TS2/TS3. In the original games it felt like she was a nuisance and a miserable old woman who we're supposed to feel bad for. In TS2 her actions aren't explained, but we know she is adverse to romance. In TS3 we see her in a whole new light, and it's pretty devastating how the loss clearly impacted her (that half unfinished nursery lives in my mind rent free). It was implied that they loved each other, in my opinion, but it seems like the Sims team will never miss an opportunity to villainize a female premade. I'm serious - it's actually getting concerning how the negative traits or actions of the male characters in this game are always twisted to be endearing, understandable, or momentarily misguided. But the women? Oh no, they're insufferable nags, abusers whose husbands need to leave them, women who never really loved their spouses at all, they're evil, they're mean, they're distant, they are bad wives and mothers, they are money-hungry, they are killers, and that's the whole of their marketing.
Poor uwu baby boys, save them from the mean ladies!! And if they cheat on the mean ladies, the ladies deserved it! If they are a serial cheater who will go as far as to leave their fiance at the aisle, that's okay because they're just a lovable himbo! If their wives go missing and they date a woman much younger than them, that's okay - she's actually the money hungry one! Yes he is lazy and does not have any ambition or drive, but his wife is so mean for being tired of their life being stagnant - she is the problem! She is a money hungry evil woman and he is just her husband who has no idea! He's rich and literally lives with her but uhhhh he's so nice that the estranged son (who looks just like him) isn't even his!
Ugh. Give me a break sims team. I'm tired!

would you all care to share the ships that micah / the older starwakers have in their canon universe? 👀
Oh gosh, okay lmfao most certainly! There are several more ships that we thought of than the provided list, but it's to avoid ✨ spoilers ✨, so some of our characters can't be mentioned yet. Above read are the most prominent ships while under it are just ships that are not as developed / often explored or thought of:
Micah / Adoniram ( @fatefire ) : The most obvious ship of the ANHA universe while it is canon. They were childhood best friends when Micah was adopted into the Everlove family. Micah always had a crush on Adoniram, but because they would often came to think that the feelings isn't mutual ( which, to be honest, we can't blame them when Adoniram hasn't ever been the most expressive and opening individual ), Micah ended up getting into nine other relationships across high school years to early twenties ( most being abusive / toxic, unfortunately ) before Micah finally confessed their feelings to Adoniram who could share the same. He just never knew how to do what Micah could do so easily as he never thought he would be as lovable enough to gain any interest in having a relationship with. He is one of the reasons why Micah adores outer space so much. They worked as private detectives together, and Adoniram originally wanted to be an astronaut along with Micah. Adoniram also vanished to the fire a suspected Metaeidos was responsible of in April before he and Micah finally reunited in the near-mid of June. It's hard to describe their relationship, honestly. Adoniram is the darkness to Micah's light, the sea to their sky, to put it that way. They're the kind of couple where one will squint at them and go, " how are they even together? " A lot of mysteries exist with them as a pair.
Micah / Warlock ( @goreuroboros ) : The second most obvious ship and surprisingly, after everything they've gone through together, they're not dating. Warlock is an expelled Break Beyond Force Saint who was suspected of a massacre involving the twenty three Generation XI Saints ( but it was actually the Infernal Infinity who was responsible by making a deal with a Special Order Metaeidos ). Micah was handed a special case from the Break Beyond Force to investigate the murders that Warlock was responsible of, but they learnt that Warlock was killing anyone who would try to exorcise their manifested Metaeidos that was introjected after Warlock's best friend / almost lover as they were attempting to protect it. Even after Micah tried to have Warlock composed while assuring they won't exorcise their Metaeidos, Warlock was extremely harsh and brutal to Micah, but over time, they became a lot more closer and Warlock has been trying to be more gentle and considerate to Micah who have always been to them. Of course, Micah ended up developing a huge crush on them, but they're trying to convince themself that they can be only best friends out of fear Warlock would reject them. But they're extremely endearing together. Star and wolf motifs clashing together. Sunshine and grumpy cloud trope. Sun and moon coded. What's not to love about them together?
Micah / Grace / Pax ( @oncehaunted & @oncehunted ) : We sadly haven't got the energy to write and explore Micah's Hierokoinonia partners alone and with Micah as often as we wish, but we do think about them together a lot. While Micah is the Hunter of their Hierotrinity, Grace and Pax were partnered with them as the Hero and Healer, going by St. Sweet and St. Steel, respectively, when the Generation XII Saints were established. Grace and Pax are equally chaotic and Micah is often the one to try and hold them together, but Micah does love them both so much dearly. Grace is a phantom who have lost her humanity and Pax is an android who have gained his humanity. Micah is someone in between who doesn't truly know if they have ever been a human to begin with. Within their interactions altogether, there is a lot aspects involving self-identifying and self-discovery that are explored, along with them trying to understand each other despite their respective features that can make them challenging to interact with. It's beautiful though that in the end, they would accept one another as they encourage each other to grow and become better. Grace and Pax did end up dating together, which is very lovely. it's nice to get to explore the ideas of Micah being part of their relationship as well as ot3 ships are always fun and delightful! But regardless, Micah holds endless love and care for Grace and Pax who loves them just as much in their own special ways that Micah can cherish deeply.
Micah / Strange ( @detstrange ) : Strange doesn't do relationships in general because xe doesn't like the idea of being tied down to people with these ship labels and whatnot, but the chemistry that Strange and Micah shares is highly fun and interesting! Both of them love to solve mysteries, so they have great times bonding over them as being detectives. Micah and Strange are very silly together, and Micah adores Strange's eccentric chaos as Strange adores their endless love for everyone and everything and everywhere despite the never ending horrors in the universe.
Micah / Byte ( @mordcode ) : St. Byte is one of Micah's closest friends from the Break Beyond Force. Byte is a constant chaotic troublemaker who Micah can get along quite well as they always find delight in xyr boldness and mischief. Byte and Micah also love to bite each other as it's both of their secret love language in general and for each other. They have always been extremely supportive and encouraging to each other, and it's always endearing to know how much faith Micah has in Byte who gets underestimated and doubted on so easily. They just love each other so much.
Micah / Antiphisto ( @alldarkling ) : Micah is the loving light to Antiphisto's despising darkness. This pair is just so wonderful and fascinating as it explores a lot about what it means to love and be loved even when the world is forever cruel and unforgiving. Antiphisto's despair and lack of faith in humanity are terrifyingly powerful, but so are Micah's hope and full faith in humanity, so it's always very interesting to see how their attitudes and mindsets clash each other while creating a lot of deep exchanges to think over. Antiphisto would never admit this, but it can at least admire their bravery in loving endlessly and entirely despite it all.

So my thoughts were this: both brothers are notoriously discriminatory. They want girls with intelligence that is “worth their time” or something like that. But Sirius has a problem - the girls that fit his criteria often want nothing to do with him bc he was an ass in school. So he’s left with the giggling groups that drool over him. I can see Regulus being mildly more successful though- because he probably sticks with Slytherins + pureblood Ravenclaws and he’s not quite as -well, (1)
(2) him not being Sirius suddenly works to his advantage. He would be able to socialize with the girls that are “his type” more than Sirius could.
Yes, definitely discriminatory. I think they are both picky when it comes to partners. Re: Sirius check out this meta by @mrs-stubby-boardman about why Sirius isn't a playboy (he is canonically shown to not be all that bothered by girls). I don't know that they necessarily have a specific criteria in mind for a partner (well, Regulus definitely does, he has it hand-written in a tidy checklist somewhere, Sirius is probably going by vibes), but they are turned off by far more people than they are intrigued by.
I do think Sirius had widespread appeal, though. Is he a pretentious dick? Chet Ubetcha. Is he a pretentious dick in a charismatic and irritatingly appealing way? Unfortunately. I think it would be relatively easy for him to win over someone who is "up to par" on various criteria (intelligence, maturity, whatnot).
What I think is likely to be Sirius' problem is that that would be quite boring. Wooing a girl when you have girls falling over themselves for you is not challenging, it's not stimulating, it's not fun. I think Sirius is a man who would be fond of the chase. I personally don't see Sirius as someone who is all that interested in a romance, either, so there's that.
I think Regulus would struggle with his interactions with the opposite sex quite significantly. My m.o. is to write him as bi in almost any and every fic, but he ends up with men more often than women and I have a lot I could say about why, but it boils down to him a) thinking women are fundamentally different from men and b) not knowing how to interact with people who are fundamentally different from him.
Also, lbr, who could live up to the expectations of womanhood set by his beloved mother? Not a soul, anon, not a single human woman. Not in Regulus' opinion, anyway.
I do think Regulus is also more likely to alienate people with his general comportment than Sirius. Sirius is a playful and lovable, if moderately alarming, asshole. Regulus is a straight up douchebag. Not in an endearing way, either (to most people--I obviously live for it). He is probably voted "most punchable face" 7 years straight at Hogwarts. I think there's a subset of the population who are attracted to him, but for the most part, folks are put off by him.
Regulus is so exacting with his standards for a partner and so reluctant to engage in intimacy that I think on some level it suits him just fine that people aren't drawn to him. Some part of him longs to be as popular and easily charming as Sirius, but what would he do with that popularity if he had it? Just turn people down left and right. Sure, I guess it would be fun for a bit, but it would probably get annoying after a while.
Also, since you mentioned the interplay of looks and girls, I want to note: I think this is something that would bother Regulus. He is attractive, he knows he is attractive, and I think that makes the fact that he is not more desired by his peers sting a bit. Because that shows that his personality is so objectionable that people aren't interested despite his good looks. And that's not a fun feeling.

Sierra!!! Thank you for the ask ❤ It was so much fun to think about and I wrote more about my own considerations while playing rather than from their character perspective maybe but still it was a lot of fun!! It got long so I'll put it under a readmore sdjdsj
Taylor + Alistair
Okay so when I first played DAO the friend who recommended it to me was obsessed with Alistair so I was like 80% sure Id romance him on her recommendation. But then Leliana barged in and I was like wow pretty girl so then I was sure Id romance her. But then Zevran happened. Listen. He swept Taylor off her feet as much as he swept me. Taylor probably would fit just as good if not better with someone else but,, how can I resist.
SO specifically Alistair: I think Taylor was subconsciously still very wary of humans. The timing wasn’t the best, with a human man ruining her entire familys life just before a human man ripped her away from said family and putting her in a position with the mostly human grey wardens. Yes Alistair is half elven and very kind and they became friends instantly and that’s why Taylor didn’t have a nervous breakdown at Ostagar, but trauma is trauma and I don’t think Taylor could help not fully opening up to Alistair at first, even if she didn’t realize it. And I also think Taylor doesn’t consider herself an option for affection? No actually, that’s not true, she does know that she’s lovable etc but it doesn’t immediately occur to her that she’s lovable in the romantic sense. She also worked hard as a teen to not be considered an option. Someone having a crush or potential interest is so foreign to her, someone would have to be very blunt about it for it to click.
Instead, she and Alistair in my canon are very very close but more in the best friend sibling-y sense.
However, while it isn’t in my canon, I do think Taylor and Alistair could have been adorable together. Their personalities complement each other pretty well and they’d be even more grossly mushy if they were together romantically. It would definitely also change my outcome of DAO; Alistair would have absolutely not become king, and Kieran would have two moms and a dad. Thank you.
Evanna + Isabela
Again, truly an option I considered in DA2. Lets go over my considerations real quick. The same friend that loved Alistair a lot also loved Fenris a lot, so instead of being sure Id romance him (like I thought with Alistair), now I was sure I wasn’t going to. Idk why. I love Fenris truly. My personal fav candidate was Anders cause I love him and that’s Taylors son, you know. But he was so annoying in da2 god bles he reminded me of one of my irl friends so much and me and my irl friend have a very good gay-bi alliance going on so that’s what I did with Evanna and Anders but then in reverse. It doesn’t have to make sense it makes sense in my head, and so Evanna was officially a lesbian. Merrill is absolutely endearing and the best and I think she understands more than anyone how Evanna struggles with relating to people.
That being said, Isabela and Evanna would be amazing together, but would also wreck Kirkwall even more than it already is wrecked. They would be unstoppable. They are the true mean bi and meaner lesbian couple that is met with awe anywhere they go. However, Evanna would not push Isabela to not be afraid of being loved anymore. Evanna isn’t that socially gifted and she wouldn’t say the right things at the right time and I just don’t think that would be right for a romantic relationship with Isabela. Evanna cares about Isabela, obviously, but I don’t think she’s got enough empathy to understand what she’s going through.
Rasha + Sera
Ok so for Rasha, her being a vashoth already limited some options. The same friend who really likes Alistair and Fenris obviously also likes Cullen (Im joking. But she does.) and I wouldn’t consider him an option for Rasha even if she was an option for him. I knew in advance but was really sad that Cass wasn’t an option. Rash was being friendly galpalls (read: flirting) with Josie when the chargers mission happened and then Rasha could be a bit nicer to Bull and the rest is history.
For Sera.. I don’t think she and Rasha would really match? Rasha likes and even trusts Sera (which is a huge deal for her) but I don’t think she trusts her enough to let her pull her out of her shell. Like, Rasha takes things very seriously in the inquisition and goes along with the pranks etc. cause Sera is right and things shouldn’t be serious all the time, but Rasha is very good at compartmentalizing that. I also think that Sera would get too nervous about Rasha being as paranoid as she is. Although I do agree they’d be very cute together, I don’t think they’d match.

Show Log: Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu Pt 1
My thoughts and opinions during my first watch through of Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu because I'm a poor boy from a poor family and trans so I was robbed of most "male children entertainment". My first thoughts as I've found I am now fully invested in the show. Featuring what I learned in my human development class. Mostly my son, Lloyd in this one because it's not fair and I'm upsetti spaghetti.
Season 2 episode 5:
• the ninjas are idiots, your honor, what's new you ask? As far as I've watched nothing, they're idiots, albeit lovable ones don't get me wrong, but they do not know the fundamental rule for raising children and neither does Master Wu.
• play is a child's work and in order for a child to progress and develop normally and happily there needs to be a balance and Lloyd has not been given that balance with his training. In short, they're fucking up a perfectly good kid. They're gonna fuck up his development and he's going to develop a complex or a mental disorder of sorts and it's gonna be traced back to you in therapy later. <3
• I know Lloyd is the Green Ninja meaning one day he will be so strong he'll save all of Ninjago from his evil dad. It's his destiny. Blah blah blah. Shut up, sit down and look that 8-10 year old boy in the eyes. He's just a kid. He's already dealing with his abandonment issues from world's best father/s (more on him at the end in season one observations) and trying to figure out who he is.
• Honestly that alone ensures he's gonna struggle for quite some time and ensure he needs therapy because canonically, Lord Garmadon left Lloyd at a young age, showed up, and then left again so Lloyds attachment style is an anxious/avoidant type because hey parents the way you do or don't care for your kids will follow them for the rest of their lives. If I were to take a swing at it I'd assume it's more of an Anxious-avoidant attachment style going by how Lloyd handles rejection/being left alone, accepting it with little protest and how he treats the others upon return, slight aggression/irritation before acceptance and interaction. He also attempted to make it known that he didn't want to be left alone but often ended up that way anyways.
• This is why he needs more stability and for people to attempt to build stable fucking attachments with him before he's too old to seek that himself and has years of unpacking himself to "undo" heal the damage caused to whatever extent they can.
• Oh wait, it's already too late because the color coded idiots fucked around, found out, and Lloyd being Lloyd trying to be good and helpful got tangled in and now he went from being 8-10 to mid-teen years based on appearance.
• Note: My boy Jay actively was against this. He didn't want to rob Lloyd of his childhood, at least physically, he at least wanted Lloyd to be raised normally. But Lloyd and his ever developing hero compels (I believe it's closer to a Martyr complex due to destructive nature of his sacrifice) couldn't let them worm around it so he sacrificed his youth and childhood.
• He sacrificed his childhood, literally and figuratively, for the sake of his essentially adoptive family's safety and no one even thanked him? Guys. *exasperated* Guys, he's going to be so fucked up. He's going to need years of counseling.
• Also if my boy loses his whimsy and playful nature because of this I'm going to riot and I mean it. Lloyd has the potential for a happier healthier childhood than he'd previously had and threw it away so if he's forever changed, which let's face it he probably is, imma be so mad.
Season 1-Season 2 ep 4: additionals
• Jay is a mechanic son who is kinda bad at making his shit to work first try is endearing and the fact he was so mean to his parents the first time pisses me off because they're the sweetest.
• Jay is just like me frfr bc I too look at my partner with heart eyes at all time and if yours doesn't find one who does. Also he ignores problems until last minute but don't stare at that one for too long.
• Jay's type is women who can kick his ass but won't because they're sweethearts and like his goofy ass.
• Or alternatively Nya's type is goofy goobers who have false confidence and appreciate her strengths/skills
• Nya outdoing her brother in everything is everything to me. Also she's super fucking smart she built an entire samurai suit and most of the tech/vehicles for the team and they work damn near flawlessly every time. Genius strong and pretty.
• Cole being the son of a musical theatre kid and promptly choosing an art that is not upon first glance anything like musical theatre is the most son of a musical theatre kid thing to ever exist.
• Him then using dance moves in his fighting is fundamentally hilarious and I love him for that. He can also sing and as the groups "emo", which he totally is because hes the quiet brooding one, that's so fucking funny. It's even funnier that he's like that because he lost a competition when he was 7 because of a failed dance move.
• Kai, Nya's brother, Kai looks out for Nya which is sweet and he supports her 110% they balance each other really well. I want them to interact more.
• He's also smarter than he lets on because he was first to realize Lloyd was the green Ninja. I also love how he's developed from obsessive and selfish to be more selfless and responsible.
• Zane's backstory almost made me cry. He's a ninjabot made to protect those who can't protect themselves but was raised by the scientist who created him like a sonm it's just so sweet and wholesome. I'm pretty sure it anything else happens to him I'll lose it because I love him.
• also before Zane knew he was a robot he was still my favorite because he's so powerful and wholesome in general as a character his heart is in the right place and I love him simply put.
• Lord Garmadon, I hate you. You set your boy you clearly love in some sense up for failure the moment he was born with your abandonment and frankly your wish washy personality is screwing up a perfectly good kid. You tell him you're proud of him and then tell him to quit because he'll never be good enough? Dude screw you. I hope you and your snake bus fall into a different dimension of no escape. <3
• Also he destroyed the snake that bit him so now he's just being evil for the sake of evil knowing perfectly well that he's putting his own son through the horrors.
