📖
alright, apparently at any given moment I‘ve got four something variations of mer/sea creature infinity stones AUs so here goes one…
the tesseract is on Asgard, hidden in the vaults— except she’s never been a cube and instead appears in the form of a sea creature. she’s a bit of an amalgamation of a box fish & a dragon sea slug but also vaguely humanoid shaped like a mer would be. So in the vault, instead of on a pedestal like everything else, Space is a bit separated from the main trophy room. Her water tank is completely blocked off by (energy) reinforced glass.
Young Loki finds the water tank cause he’s sneaky and wants to see the vault (because he’s drawn to it). The glass is a bit fuzzy and harder to see through when the bright barrier flares, though sporadically it’s more clear. The water is somehow not murky, as it stays completely clean.
Loki is of course fascinated by the strange creature he sees on the other side, though (at first) the feeling is not mutual as Tess is wary of all asgardians (and isn’t familiar enough with them to realize Loki is a child).
The cage, I mean- tank, is pretty small and barren, so although its depth goes a bit deeper than the floor, there’s no hiding spaces or similar creature comforts. There’s no algae, and no obviously no sun.
This also means that even tho they’re as far away as they can be, and Tess far larger staying in front, it’s obvious that there is two creatures here.
They don’t even attempt to communicate anything back to loki for a long time.
The second here is Mind, and he has been here for a long time. This was originally just his cage, and he has no idea Tess was in another section of the vault. At first, Odin had considered not keeping Tess at all, because having two infinity creatures in one place seemed risky even for him. He realized it was too risky even dumping one of them in a random spot in the ocean, because that would allow them to heal and become too powerful.
Tess had no idea mind was there either, but once she realized what was happening she attempted to contact the others. The message is vague as this kind of communication isn’t her strong suit, it’s mostly emotions and pain, but enough so if any of the others were nearby, they would know where she was.
Mind attempts to contact her back, but now behind another barrier, Tess’ abilities aren’t strong enough in this aspect for it to reach her. Mind is already worried at the message, but the lack of response is panic inducing and he knows they can’t die and the alternative can only be something worse.
In his panic, he manages to destroy his cage and the barrier, but it hurts him more than it did the tank. it could be rebuilt, and it was, multiple times. Odin eventually realizes keeping Mind away isn’t worth the effort, and he’s only destroying his vessel to the point, losing more and more of the leaf shaped structures (scales I guess? but also not really) he was once covered in.
And Odin isn’t cruel you know, he needs them weak, but not on the brink of “death”.
So he puts Tess in Mind’s tank, and well, that fixes one problem.
[Put "📓" or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I'll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven't written but daydream about.]

Might I be so bold as to ask for more Viking Soap please? I loved your first writing of it :)
Sure! Like I said I think this is a slow burn like the knight!Ghost. There's no romance in this piece, but perhaps a sort of understanding, a key to a door that the reader might take it upon themselves to step through later.
As Soap said in the first piece, "courting later, business now."
“We camp here tonight,” Mactavish tells you after hours of walking. At some point he’d set you down to walk on your own two feet. When his scent had replaced the smoke and you’d stopped struggling against his hold you walked. Numb as you are, you’re sure if you couldn’t still see the fire burning in your mind’s eye your feet might hurt.
“Camp?” You stare blankly at him, at the thick forest around you. Hardly a place you’d call proper camping.
“Ay,” He hardly spares you a glance, unhooking the ax from his waist, “You need sleep, it’ll help.”
You can’t imagine how it would. Closing your eyes feels like it’ll bring a curse upon you, what good is sleep when you’ll wake up to the same bleak reality? You’ll find yourself with the same company when morning comes.
“I didn’t realize the coast was so far,” You change the subject for yourself.
“It’s not,” He bounces his ax in his hand, looking at the trees around you. You’re slowing him down, you realize. “Clear some space for a fire,” He looks at you finally, his eyes pitying. You understand why he wouldn’t want to look at you if that’s what he’s thinking. He doesn’t give you time to respond before stalking off into the forest.
Your mind reels with the potential for escape. He’s just left you, you could run, could find your way back to your home. What’s left of it. Maybe there were survivors. But he left you. Which makes you think he knows your best course of action is to stay. You’re smart enough to know what that means.
You have a decent clearing set up by the time he gets back. A shallow pit dug for the wood bundle in his arms. He nods in approval at the space, and sets the wood down on one side of the pit. He grabs a sturdy branch from the pile and drops to sit against a large tree with a grunt. You chew your thoughts before putting them into words. Watch his careful hands turn the wood over before setting the edge of his ax against the grain.
You settle yourself down across from him. You think it’s good to keep eyes on this man as long as you can. If you do sleep it won’t be deeply.
"You were a Mactavish,” you start, an olive branch, a similar plight, you hope.
"Still am,” He tells you without looking up.
“You’re a viking,” you point out. The two don’t fit exactly in your mind.
“Ay, and a Mactavish,” He sniffs, “one’s a job, one’s a name. You’ll get used to it.”
“Used to what? Being kidnapped?” You watch him smile down at his work. His laughter is evident even without the sound.
“Used to being employed,” He chuckles. You don’t find it funny. This “employment” has already cost you everything you ever held dear. Friends, family, a home, taken from you for nothing. You can’t even hope to exact your revenge on the man who stole you away from it. You have nothing but your grief, and the tears that you’ve been too numb to shed.
You keep your silence. Fumbling through the dark without a guide forward. What can you do but stay quiet. It’s what you’re supposed to do after all. Quiet, docile, kept for your wits and quick hands not your mouth.
If this man wants a healer he’ll have to wait for you to gather supplies, everything you had is gone. You close your eyes and see flames, see your family’s faces screaming out in agony. Sleep, how could you ever sleep again?
“Who were they?” You ask, the three words are harder to get out than anything you’ve ever said. Yet there are still more words you can’t say, the clarifiers that you don’t want to acknowledge. The ones that burned my family, you don’t say. You said they weren’t your men, then how do you know them? You don’t ask.
“Only know one group that burns healers,” Soap tells you, you scrub at the sand that stings your eyes, “calls them witches to justify it, but there’s no honor in killing those that can’t fight back.” There’s a bitterness in his voice that you haven’t heard before. You hug your earasaid around your shoulders. Your mother’s familiar scent surrounding you, it’s not the comfort you hoped it would be.
“You sound like you’re speaking from experience,” You pull your knees to your chest, watching Soap carve careful curls of wood into a stick. His eyes are hard on his work. You don’t expect this man to be open with you, to spill his heart to you. You don’t expect humanity from him.
“We survive,” He mumbles, “for the ones that didn’t.”
You feel his grief catch in your chest, and mix itself with your own. Unsaid words, unlived lives. You bury yourself in familiar cloth so he doesn’t see your tears. It’s silly to cry for someone else, when you have so many tears for yourself. It saves time, you suppose, to cry for many things at one time.
We survive, you tell yourself.

Bring Me Home Arc 2 Part 20: FINAL
So guess what I realized this morning. Today, November 13, 2023 is the one year anniversary of me posting my first DPxDC fic to tumblr. It was the original fill for this very fic. (Which you can find here.)
So I decided I just had to finish this arc and get it posted. This year has been amazing and so much fun. I've become a much better writer and joined a community that has brought me so much joy. I'm glad to be here and I'm glad so many of you like to read what I'm sharing.
I noticed I got a few new readers over the past week or so, so welcome to all of you! Hope you enjoy this early update!
In personal news, my nephew was born and he's adorable and I'll be meeting him tomorrow! (As soon as I'm done posting this, I'm off to make food for his mom.)
Story Summary: Tim and Danny are both neglected by parents who care more about their work than their families. They deal with this by spending too much time online and find each other playing MMORPGs. They keep up their friendship as Tim becomes Robin and Danny becomes Phantom and don't bother keeping secrets from each other.
Arc 1
Arc 2: Part 1, Previous
Word Count: 1.2k
-----
In the end, it ended up taking several hours for Danny, Sam, and Tucker to escape their families and converge on the park. In that time, Tim had called Bruce to let him know he’d be back in Gotham by tomorrow and finished most of his homework.
While he worked, Wulf and Bart were having an animated conversation in Esperanto.
Tim was pretty sure Wulf would be bringing Bart to the Ghost Zone for a tour sometime and started making plans to learn Esperanto himself and bribe Bart to get in on them.
Cassie was helping Conner sort through some of the music Sam had given him. Tim was jealous as he solved more banal trig questions. Why did school have to be so boring? He tapped his pencil on the paper in time to the beat of whatever music Conner had playing.
Tucker was the first to arrive. “Danny and Sam not here yet?” he asked as he plopped down next to Bart and Wulf.
“Nope. Haven’t heard from them, either,” said Tim. He opened his phone notifications again just to be sure, but there was nothing new.
Tucker shrugged and pulled out a stick of jerkey to munch on. “Not surprising. The Fentons will be all overprotective after the mayor was kidnapped by a ghost on live TV. And Sam’s parents are just as bad. Only they smother rather than check the weaponry.” He turned to greet Wulf in Esperanto.
An email came through on Tim’s phone and he groaned. “Our evening interview was canceled. No one wants to hear us try to defend Phantom anymore.”
Cassie cursed. “Course not. Bet the paper won’t publish our editorials either.”
Conner looked over, confused. “Won’t they? Clark works for the Daily Planet. They publish stuff like that all the time.”
Tim didn’t look up from his math as he answered, “That’s the difference between a big, Pulitzer winning publication and a small-town op-ed.”
Tucker sighed. “Well maybe someone will remember your interviews from this morning in a positive light.”
Bart rolled his eyes. “Come on, we can’t change it. So let’s move forward. Next step, make friends with more ghosts! Wulf says there’s a bunch of cool people in the Realms.”
“Realms?” asked Tim.
“It’s what he says the Ghost Zone is actually called. The Infinite Realms.”
“Huh. I’ll have to check JL databases, see if they have any information on them.”
Tucker asked something in Esperanto and Bart burst out laughing as Wulf looked on in confusion.
With Bart’s help, though, he rephrased until Wulf was able to reply. And then the three kept to Esperanto. Tim really had to find time to learn it.
Sam was the next to arrive. She grinned and sat down next to Conner. “How you liking the music?”
Conner grinned and showed her the sheets where he ranked the bands so far based on which songs he’d listened to. She then took over the speakers and searched for specific tracks to try and change his mind about some of the bands he liked the least.
Tim let his eyes close as his friends’ voices washed over him.
After some indeterminate time where he dozed between sleeping and awareness, a foot nudged his hip. Tim grumbled out what was supposed to be a, “What?” but was too mumbled to really be understood.
“Come on, Secrets. You can do better than that.”
Tim cracked an eye open to see Danny grinning down at him. He pushed himself up slightly and blinked heavily in the sunlight.
“Finally got away from your parents?” asked Tim.
Danny collapsed on the ground next to him. “Ugh, don’t remind me. They’re freaking out over everything that’s happened the last few days. Jazz and I are basically going to be on lock down until they feel confident the ghosts are gone.”
“Did you have to sneak out to get here?” asked Cassie.
Danny shook his head. “No, I told them I was going to find you guys to make sure you were all safe. You’re welcome to come back to ours tonight, by the way. Mom and Dad basically insisted on it.”
“What do you guys think?” asked Tim. “Spend one more night here at Danny’s and head out in the morning?”
Cassie sighed. “My mom’s already freaking out that I’ve been gone longer than planned. I should get back tonight.”
“I’ll stay,” offered Conner. “I’m your ride home, anyway.”
“Why don’t you come to my place, Conner,” offered Sam. “Your nails need a fresh coat after fighting today. And I need teach you about the different brands of makeup and what to look for in terms of cost, quality, and ethicality. Plus I can get you more music.”
Tim laughed when Conner looked to him. “Go for it. Have fun.”
Conner grinned. “Then yeah, let’s do it!”
Bart shrugged. “Wulf is going to go back to the Realms soon. I’ll head out after. Wally and Linda want me over for a family dinner tonight.”
“Well, looks like that’s it, then,” sighed Danny. “Been fun having other heroes around.”
Tim nudged his shoulder. “Join the Young Justice. You could join us and we'd help out whenever you wanted. Get you around people who actually appreciate what you do for them.”
But Danny was already shaking his head. “I have to stay here. And now Amity trusts heroes even less. I want to improve that, not make it worse.”
“Even if you don’t join,” declared Conner. “You’re not getting rid of us now.”
Bart nodded his agreement. “Yep. We’re gonna be stopping by all the time. You’re in the group chat.”
“Exactly,” agreed Tim. “And we’ll figure out ways to help you. Starting with how to minimize property damage. That seems to be the big thing people focus on. You can make shields, right? How big can you make them and how much power do they take?”
Danny smiled wryly. “Can’t say I’ve really tested it.”
Tim laughed. “Well, I know one thing we’re doing tonight. We’re going to go back to Nasty Burger—” Tim looked around at the whole group “—all of us. Then Cassie and Bart are going to go home. Danny and I, at least, are going to take a nap. Then we’re gonna test the current limits to Danny’s powers.”
Danny bumped their shoulders together. “You know, this is just like gaming with you all those years.”
“Yeah, well, it’s best to be thorough.”
“We’ve measured, like, his top speed and stuff,” said Tucker, pulling out a PDA. “Want to see what we’ve got so far?”
“Absolutely.” Tim took the device and looked through it. “You’ve a decent amount of information here. Maybe instead of taking a nap, I’ll help you organize it and come up with a testing plan.”
Conner flew over to him and pulled the PDA out of his hand. “Not after pulling an all-nighter you won’t. We’re going to get some food, then the two of you are going to sleep for at least four hours.”
“I’ll set Jazz on you, too,” threatened Sam. “Don’t think I won’t.”
Tim pouted as the device was given back to Tucker. And grumbled more when Conner picked him up and threw him over his shoulder.
“Come on, food time.”
“I am going to put kryptonite in your phone,” threatened Tim.
“Bingo!” shouted Cassie.
Danny laughed as he stood. “Does this mean I can join the next round?”
Tim scowled. “Traitors, all of you.”
-----
Next
And that's the end of this Arc! Arc 3 will pick up where the original fill did. (Only this time, Tim won't be the only DC character there to help Danny.)
I'd say something like I can't believe it's only been a year, but so much has happened to me in the last twelve months that it feels like a lifetime ago, to be honest. But it's been a good year and I'm glad this community has been part of it.
Please follow the subscription post if you want updates for when I start transferring this arc to AO3 or begin posting Arc 3.

Sun/Moon FNAF Fanfic Recommendation List
Fic list:
This is a list of DCA x reader fics. The maturity rating of each fic varies but none here are currently explicit.  Look at the tags and read at your own discretion.
(Disclaimer: This is subject to change. If a fic on here turns explicit and I haven’t caught it yet then just message me the title and chapter that it happens and I will move it to the spicy list. Thank you.)
(This will be updated in bulk as I find good fics. An update log can be found and followed under the “Violetstormm fic list updates” tag)
Most of these will be romance oriented but a few are platonic or familial. Okay onward to the fics types. A fic may fit into several categories and so will have the respective symbol of any additional that applies. You can click the title for a specific fic type or read more for the complete list:
+Pizzaplex Fics: You work at the pizzaplex in some way or another. You could be a daycare handler, janitor, mechanic, ect.
-Scrap Fics: Sun and Moon have been scraped for one reason or another or have just escaped the burning plex.  You find and possibly help them.
~Mer Fics: We got mermaids, sirens, leviathans, seamonsters and selkies. Are you the fish? Are they the fish? Doesn’t matter it goes on this list.
*Fantasy Fics: General fantasy, could be literally anything. Are you a vampire stuck traveling with some handsome vampire hunters? A princess who has befriended the jesters? How about a monsterhunter with a totally not a monster companion? This and more belong here.
`Misc list: DCA stories that don’t fit into any of the other categories.
+Pizzaplex Fics:
Twin Animatronics With Too Much Time on Their Hands by aug325 and CephalonGhost
 archiveofourown.org/works/37318843/chapters/93118390
Takes place after the three-star princess quest ending where Sun and Moon are the only intact animatronic left.
Fazbear Entertainment decides to capitalize on that and try to make money off the daycare again by making the dual animatronic into two. Clearly no problems arise from this because robots can’t suffer mental or emotional trauma, right?
you move to dayshift but aren't paid any more, go figure by tuzesdays
 archiveofourown.org/works/38834994/chapters/97110504
You never, never wanted to be on dayshift. All those children running around, being loud and messy and eugh... but that's what corporate scheduled you for, and they're the ones that write your checks, so. You weren't expecting to get along with the daycare attendant, but that doesn't mean you want to stay on dayshift just to hang out with them.
Too bad you can't back out now.
(In Their) Astral Orbit by Rinzydings
archiveofourown.org/works/46904530/chapters/118150936
The dreaded fire has come and burned the Pizzaplex to the ground. Waking up in a panic, Lyell races to the scene and braves the destruction in order to find the DCA. Recovering the weakened animatronic, they take the Daycare Attendant home and do everything they can to clean and get them repaired. The bond between human and robot deepens, and Lyell briefly questions where to possibly go from here.
But before we get to that, let's take a trip down memory lane and see how on earth it all came to this.
I Think I Smell A Rat by Eyndr
archiveofourown.org/works/45725968/chapters/115070719
Being a robotic repair rat who lives in the walls of the pizza-plex is a pretty great gig, all things considered! You fix the wires instead of chew them, and you get into tight spaces those silly humans can't reach and fix things up behind the scenes. You do your little tasks diligently, and all is well. That is, until one night when you realize all of your other repair rat friends have gone missing, and almost all of those animatronics outside the walls are acting strange... You aren't sure what it is that needs fixing, but by golly you'll fix it! You just might need a little help along the way...
He's a Little Confused but he's got the Spirit by Twi75
archiveofourown.org/works/48846175/chapters/123221785
All you wanted was to wake up, go to work, pay your bills, and sleep. Look's like someone is just a bit greedy now aren't they? Not to worry though, your friends at Fazbear Entertainment are more than happy to put you in your place with their state-of-the-art AI. Specifically the AI that's running the Daycare Attendant. Yeah, that one.
This is my first fic on the website, I am both ashamed and filled with pride. Going to try for weekly updates but absolutely no promises. Comments and critique are always welcome
Forever Friends by restinsodaroni
 archiveofourown.org/works/38650515/chapters/96625230
Being a security officer at the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex guarantees you to never have a dull day on the job. You learned that the hard way while working alongside the building's animatronic Daycare Attendants. Over four years Sun, Moon, and you have grown to be the closest of friends. But what happens when the three of you start to realize this friendship may be a little bit more than either of you anticipated. Go throughout your work days while you discover feelings for your robotic coworkers, as something dark festers below the Pizzaplex.

The theater animatronic at Fazbear's PizzaPlex has been on the fritz for years. Luckily you have been hired to do something about it! So in hopes of either getting the theater up and running again or at least getting rid of the problem for good, you are being hired as The Offical Superstar Theater Employee!
After Everything was Fixed (but you were still broken) by  bones_of_a_rabbit
 archiveofourown.org/works/46061014/chapters/115947073
The virus was gone. Everyone was fixed. You had been put back together. It's a time for a new beginning, to do things right this time, to wash away the past and paint a better future.
Their memories of the infection had- mercifully- been taken away from them.
Yours had not.
He doesn't understand why you try to avoid him. Even if you could tell him, you're not sure you would. You want to be his friend, but it's difficult; every time you see him, you remember the hundreds of times he killed you.

Security and Staff AU (Fancomic) by BunMuffin
 archiveofourown.org/works/45406129/chapters/114242980.

What could go wrong?
Solar Lunacy by BamSara
archiveofourown.org/works/37158622/chapters/92703043
Summary:
You weren't a technician, you weren't a security guard, you weren't a daycare assistant. You're just an employee. Staff. The ‘jack-of-all-trades’ employee with mediocre at best skills and specialty in none, tasked with doing miscellaneous jobs that robots couldn't do and human staff couldn't care to. The job is unpredictable, but it pays good and it's relatively easy.
Except for the part where all the animatronics are more sentient than you thought, and you're roped into a mystery surrounding the Daycare Attendants, who are bit too curious about you for your liking.
You don't think this was in your employee contact.
Man and/or Machine by Maycelium
 archiveofourown.org/works/38668620/chapters/96673755
You had been working a retail job longer than some of your peers had been alive, and you had seen it all. At one point or another, you had come face to face with the worst customer service interactions imaginable–from Karens with years-old expired coupons to teens who paid in pennies to armed robbery to Black Friday sales–and you had made the choice to come out the other side still smiling.
By comparison, working at Fazbear's was a breeze. $30 an hour PLUS insurance PLUS long AND short term benefits? If you hadn't read the terms and conditions carefully, you'd think you might have signed your soul away when you started working there, it seemed almost too good to be true.
Apparantly, there was a history surrounding the company that had made other prospective employees hesitant to apply, but you had done worse jobs for less, and the fact that your animatronic co-workers were a little "quirky" was honestly a bonus
All Around the Mulberry Bush by Chaussette_et_Chaussures
archiveofourown.org/works/38251879/chapters/95575312
The monkey chased the weasel
The monkey thought 'twas all in fun
POP! Goes the weasel.
The Fazbear corporation has always been surrounded by dark rumors, so was every other heavy hitter in the entertainment industry. Conspiracy theories and creepypastas abound. But when you took a job working as a repair technician, it slowly becomes more and more clear as to why you're the only one anymore. And in the dark crypt-like atmosphere of parts and services, you can't help but wonder if there isn't some grain of truth to everything you've heard.

  Golden Midnight by friendcharlie
archiveofourown.org/works/48365224/chapters/121985287
Recovering from severe depression and isolation, you're accepted into a position at the newly rebuilt and remodeled Mega Pizzaplex. You're expecting a tedious and boring customer service job, but after meeting your celestial-themed coworkers, it might be more than you bargained for.

It will take every single sign the universe can throw at you to realize that you are capable of being loved. Specifically, by an animatronic daycare attendant.

Lost and Found by SmolShampoo
 archiveofourown.org/works/38452975/chapters/96102439
Sundrop was abandoned after the pizza plex was shut down and relocated. He sat for years waiting for someone to come back.
(Aka I drew a very broken Sun and this was the outcome.)
  Like Clockwork by Gallexy_Cat
 archiveofourown.org/works/44545957/chapters/112048573
You were a YouTuber who explored abandoned theme parks, or sections of them, and for your 100k subscriber special... You decided to go to the infamous Fazbear Theme Park. For decades, the little kid section it used to have has been closed down due to certain rumors and allegations of a few accidents with the animatronics. Despite all the curiosity around it, so far no one has dared to break in.
Until you. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it hadn't killed you yet! So! Throwing caution to the wind, you broke in, not expecting much. A few weird hints here, some creepy animatronics there. Nothing new.
But then one of them starts talking, which you weren't quite prepared for...
*Stardust and Satellites by Flinxypie and thatmooncake
 archiveofourown.org/works/44417164/chapters/111717901?view_adult=true
You haven’t been quite the same ever since your short-lived stint as Freddy's handler at the esteemed Fazworld theme park ended abruptly with you in the back of an ambulance, but you're given a second chance when the Fazbear family welcomes you back with open arms in a new role that puts you face to face with just the thing you need in order to get back to normal.
Or at least, that’s what you’d thought. But there’s more than meets the eye at the old abandoned play park beyond the high wall. And the mascot (or, mascots) that once used to reside there perhaps aren’t quite as decommissioned as you’d been led to believe.
 Cold Front by Stormimur
archiveofourown.org/works/43212384/chapters/108609540
Everything is fine. Nothing is wrong. How could you want something more than this? The Superstar Daycare has everything an animatronic could ever want! Sun and Moon are fine, perfectly fine even! Everything is a-okay!
Until it wasn't.
In the wake of the biggest loss comprehensible to them, Sun and Moon must learn to navigate the world around them. And you? You're the poor, unfortunate victim who took on a job seven years ago.
Fighter's Sunset by SunKoi
 archiveofourown.org/works/45459931/chapters/114380167
Everyone knew about the great fire that took out the most successful business in the area. Now it's an abandoned, charred building with fencing all around it and signs to boot. Nobody ever bothers it. They leave it alone like it's some kind of monument, or a haunted place too scary for others to enter.
For you though— it's one of the best places to get materials from. After all, they made THE best animatronics around (or so you were told). Robots that almost seemed human were a far cry in your mind, but whatever they were made of couldn't be beaten in your opinion.
So, when you find an endoskeleton of one of their supposedly famous robots, you just HAD to take it back. If you couldn't fix it, you could always sell it for scraps.
After all, it wasn't like the thing was still alive anyways, right? What could possibly go wrong?

Sun and Moon never wanted anything more than the pizzaplex. They never needed anything more- They were built for this, you know. How could they want anything different when everything they know is right here? They're happy, make no mistake, things could not be better! Things are perfectly fine here in Supercare Daycare!
That is, until it wasn't.
In the wake of the biggest, most incomprehensible loss they've ever faced, Sun and Moon struggle to find purpose again in life. And you? You're the poor fuck who took a job seven years ago to pay for college that left enough of an impact on the pair that when your paths cross again, it's life changing for the both of you.

When you are ten years old, you find two creatures, bloodied and injured, trapped a net on the beach near your home. You save them, make friends with them, and return them to the sea, leaving you to wonder later if your friends with the Sun colored scales and fins that shone like the full Moon were real or imagined up by a childhood of loneliess.
Time passes. You hear stories of monsters, Sirens in the water, one that is a good omen if spotted, promising your safe voyage as long as you respect the rules of the ocean, and one that sinks ships and eats people for fun. Just folktales meant to scare children.
A decade later, they return the favor, though they don't plan on leaving you so easily this time.

You see a fish, but the fish isn’t really a fish, because he looks up at you with big yellow eyes, wide with fright. Large black pupils dart around frantically. He’s small, less than half your size, which surprises you. You know mers are supposed to be big sea monsters that sink boats or cause storms, but you don’t see a monster. You think of a baby while staring at his chubby round face, creased with fear, and his small tail.

In a political move against Alterra, the Mongolian States sent your ship out to build a new phazegate in the far reaches of the Ariadne Arm. You were equipped with everything you needed and then some. Now, the long five year journey was nearly over, and after a quick stop at planet 4546-B, you would begin construction within the very star system. But you did not expect everything to fall apart before your very eyes, at least, not this fast. And certainly not so violently.
Now trapped on an oceanic planet, you must figure out how to survive or die trying. As you continue and push through the various flora and fauna, you find that you are not as alone as you first thought.

Pulled from the sea 5 years ago, I was tied up, beaten, and sold to owner after owner, each deciding I was too dangerous to keep. Back then, I was strong, able to break bones and tear flesh with ease, singing to lure humans to their demise. It's what my kind was made to do, kill humans.
But no more. Kept in increasingly small tanks, barely fed, and unable to swim, I started to weaken.
Eventually, I was dumped here. It was some kind of oddities collection. My owner had other humans pay to look at his strange assortment of items he had gathered from around the world.
Then one day I encountered two strange humanoid creatures that resembled the Sun and the Moon and my life started to change for the better.

You're setting foot on another planet. It would be cool, if it weren't for the fact that it was because you were crash landing with the rest of the Aurora onto an uninhabited planet with about.. 99.999% ocean as its surface.
You boarded the Aurora to go on a vacation, but oh well, you're stranded. Might as well start exploring, scuba diving sounds good, does it not? Just when you thought you could drop all the stuff you learned in school. What are the odds?
Of course, the locals have their own thing to say about the new alien on their turf. It's almost hilarious how hostile they are.
But, as with everything. We have our exceptions, two, actually.
So, what will it be then? Perhaps your odds aren't too bad on a planet of supposedly hostile oceanic monsters.

You didn't MEAN to pull up a merchild from the sea. It just bit the bait meant for the fishes, that's all! But now here you are, playing and singing songs with the little tyke after they followed you home to the shore. Even the other one followed, though only after knocking you off your boat the first time. You’re pretty sure they were brothers or something since they stick reeeaal close to each other.
Cripes, these kids were cute. They seemed to adore you too, despite the second one being really cold in the beginning. That's okay though, it was fine. You loved them, you really did! But even so, you couldn’t help but worry about their parents. Fully grown sirens get SUPER protective of their children, but you’ve yet to see neither tail nor fin of mom and dad. Where were these kids’ parents? You weren’t stupid, they HAD to be nearby. No one had ever heard of a mer who just up and left their children alone like this, so where the heck were these kids’ guardians??
It's only when four arms cage you in and threaten to capsize your tiny boat that you realize, maybe you shouldn't have asked.

Too free-form, in your case, as you eventually find yourself wandering into a dangerous section of wooded mountains and soon become trapped and injured by a landslide. Thankfully, your savior comes in the form of two giant snake-men: nagas named Sun and Moon. They take you back to their cave where you must spend several months recovering before you can rejoin civilization again. The main problem? You have a terrible phobia of snakes. The secondary problem? They don't really know what humans need and, in Moon's case, don't like the idea of a human living with them.
But destiny appears to have a pretty sick sense of humor when these creatures you can't even look at suddenly start vying for your affection. And the very thing you fear finds a way into your heart.

Feral teen mom Harry Au
Harry sees a small, pale girl, delirious from hunger, who tries to take a bite out of his neck. Harry stuns her and manages to find blood (it doesn’t matter where it is from as long as it isn’t tainted) for her.
The girl tells him, after about a gallon of blood, that her name is Toga Himiko, but he can call her Himi. He made her not feel as hungry for the first time in so long. She tells him she loves him after he fixes her fangs, almost torn out by her supposed family.
Harry decides that he likes her, and the way she can get so passionate about support items and doesn’t even get mad when he flinches from touching them. She never tried to take a bite out of Teddy, even when she was starving, because ‘babies are too cute to eat’.
Later, they meet a twenty-something with burn scars running all over (like how Voldemort looked when Harry killed him for the first time). He is shaking biting back a yell as he dabs burn cream on himself, injured badly after a bad fight where someone tried to attack him in his sleep.
And maybe Harry almost failed out of potions, but Hermione had been generous enough to give him as many healing potions as she could, as well as a book about them and what can and can’t be used on muggles (she knew he would find someone who needed help, and she was going to make sure he could help them.)
Harry helps Dabi, who sees the broken family the trio made, with a crazy elf, a baby whose quirk is too strong, a girl who is always starving, and a boy who, like Shoto, was raised to be a soldier. Dabi agrees to join them as they go around, trying to find odd jobs that hire them.
They both know about magic, Toga from a vampire she met a while back who she had brushed off as a hunger fuelled hallucination, and Dabi from hearing his dad talk about it on the phone. They don’t know much more, but they accept Harry when they realize what he was. What Teddy was.
When Harry tells them about Eraserhead, they force him to go. Let one of them live, and thrive.
Harry promises to rescue his family when he can.
Harry promised himself he wasn’t going to open himself up again. Wasn’t going to give himself more people to lose but.
Himi smiled at him like he had hung the stars just for her. Dabi’s laugh is smoke rough and sends pleasant shivers down his back. Both of them had stepped in front of Harry and Teddy more than once while they went around looking for anyone and everyone who would hire them. Had stepped in so Harry didn’t have to reach for the writhing mass of power just under his skin and have to start running again. Both of them had stayed up waiting for Harry to come back from his patrols seemingly taking it in shifts so one of them was always there waiting for him, was always watching over Teddy and Kreature where they rested.
(They weren’t Ron and Hermione, but Harry didn’t want them to be. He wasn’t sure his broken pieces fit with theirs anymore. Didn’t think they would run with him if he had to move again. It ached to think. His oldest friends. His first friends.
But this was for Teddy so he would keep moving.)
They wormed their way into Harry’s shattered heart without him knowing until it seemed… normal to turn and see them there. To hear the echo of footsteps after his own as he ran. To know no matter what he and Teddy were not so alone.
And yet.
“I say take his offer.” Harry actually hissed at Dabi’s casual words, something that never failed to make the man laugh. He did now, seated on the fire escape of some building so the smoke of his cigarette wouldn’t hurt Teddy. (Harry had nearly made him eat one the first time he had lit up around his baby. He still glared at him now, watching the trail of smoke with narrowed eyes.) “Seriously, kid, you’re meant for more than this.”
Himi nodded jingling the keys she had stolen from someone earlier in front of Teddy much to his delighted giggles. “You should be a hero. I mean you’re already a hero, but the costume would look cute on you.”
Harry grumbled, low and dangerous in his chest. Neither of them flinched. They never flinched from him. “What happened to ‘Heroes are pigs?’”
Dabi’s laugh was full of smoke and snapping debris. “You happened.”
And how the hell was Harry supposed to respond to that? He didn’t instead saying: “Come with me.”
He knew the answer before he said the words. Knew that while they would follow them anywhere to follow him now would be… unwise. Knew but it still ached when Dabi leaned over the fire escape to raise an eyebrow at him.
“I’m dead, remember? If I show myself now…”
True. Very true. If Harry hadn’t promised Endeavor to Dabi he would have taken care of that issue already but as it was…
“I still have a warrant for my arrest.” Himi sighed, a frown dancing at the corner of her lips. “People won’t believe that I was… sick.”
They never believed no matter where they were. They hadn’t believed Harry when he was eleven and starving. They hadn’t believed Harry when he was seventeen and desperate to protect the only thing that mattered to him the only way he knew how, had been trained how. They wouldn’t believe Himi now.
The window opposite of Dabi shattered and Harry forced himself to take slow deep breaths. Control it. He could control it.
“Then I wont go.”
Himi’s eyes flicked to him immediately, narrowed with her fangs flashing in the grimy light of the streetlight at the mouth of the alley. “You will. For Teddy.”
Harry flashed his teeth back, not as sharp but just as deadly, then he sighed. He didn’t want to leave them. Didn’t want to stop running if they had to continue but…
His baby came first. He had to.
“I’ll come back for both of you.” He swore. “So don’t do anything fucking stupid in the meantime.”
“Fu!” Teddy jabbered, as bright and bubbly as always.
Dabi and Himi’s laughter filled the alley, roiling smoke and knife-sharp.
“We should say the same to you. You’re the king of stupid.” It was Dabi’s turn to get teeth flashed at him but he only laughed and flicked ash in Harry’s vague direction far too far away for it to do anything.
He will be back for them. He won’t accept any other option.

I am high on weed and NyQuil and yet am still awake because a bad cough and a fever and for some reason decided it was a good idea to read the AC Odyssey Novelization! Here are some random things that stuck out that I think you should know:
Kassandra’s hears Nikolaos’ lessons in her head throughout the book.
She also loves Phoibe so much but tries so hard to pretend she doesn’t because her mother told her that love is weakness when she was a kid.
Kassandra finds Ikaros as a hatchling taking shelter among the bones at the bottom of Mount Taygetos.
It’s mostly from Kassandra’s POV but there’s some other brief POVs too. The Cult POVs seem to exist pretty much make sure that the reader knows they’re like super fucking evil and Stentor’s few POVs are mostly to bitch about Kassandra.
In one of his less bitchy POVs it’s revealed that a Spartan soldier in Megaris tried to grab Kassandra and kiss her and she either full on broke or just badly bruised his jaw
Building off that sorta, the only person Kassandra even kisses is Alkibiades at the symposium, and mostly to get information.
Nikolaos’ fate is left ambiguous for a long time.
Someone mocks Barnabas’ storytelling in line to see the Oracle and Herodotos later sets the guards on him to provide a distraction so Kassandra can sneak back and talk with the Oracle more.
The Cultists are way less protective of their identities in Delphi and way more obvious with their plans to get rid of Deimos. Also, Kassandra kills a lot of them on accident.
Aspasia keeps Kassandra from drinking poisoned wine, courtesy of Hermippos, at the symposium and helps her escape Athens
Chrysis is killed by her own biological son, the priest Dolpos who helped Myrrine, in revenge for both taking his tongue and killing countless children over the years.
Kassandra and Brasidas’ super badass warehouse fight doesn’t happen. Instead they are discovered by the Monger and taken captive and rescued by two heterae prisoners after the Monger burns Kassandra’s legs with an iron poker.
Phoibe dies playing hide and seek with Kassandra as they escort Perikles to see the Parthenon one last time and Kassandra first realizes something is wrong because she can’t hear Phoibe’s giggles anymore 😭
The first time Kassandra cries after that night on Taygetos is when Phoibe dies.
Aspasia only fully decides to leave the cult after Perikles’ death.
Pausanias’ super secret cult nickname is the Red Eyed Lion and he is uncovered because of a wine stained map or letter or something and a ring seal of a lion and some other super circumstantial evidence.
When they return to Sparta, Barnabas and the crew somehow temporarily sink the Adrestia in a cove to keep from being spotted by Spartan scouts.
The Kos and Arkadia storylines don’t happen at all and the Olympics happen after Kassandra and Myrrine already got their house.
At one point, Kassandra refers to her new family as Myrrine, Barnabas, Herotodos, and Brasidas, which made my shipper heart happy. Then in that same paragraph she refers to Herodotos and Brasidas as something like proud uncles, so we’re pretending that doesn’t exist
Kassandra is imprisoned in Athens for months and like in the game, is “rescued” by Barnabas and Sokrates. Barnabas still has his shovel but Sokrates has a broom instead of a pitchfork.
Also, there’s a small subplot about the woman Barnabas has a fling with on Naxos and her husband who Herodotos met that visited Thera. He’s being tortured by the Cult when Kassandra is imprisoned in Athens and is brutally murdered when he refuses to tell them anything.
Kleon was 100% planing to kill Deimos at Amphipolis.
Brasidas basically dies telling Kassandra how happy he is to see her what the fuck???
A lot of the confrontation on Taygetos is the same as the good ending of the game, where Deimos tells Kassandra that he’s done terrible things. But he also tells her that he can’t change no matter how much he wants to while preparing to throw a knife at Myrrine so she kills him.
Nikolaos and Stentor watch Alexios’ funeral at a distance until Kassandra and Myrrine invite them to join them for dinner.
Kassandra doesn’t fight the Minotaur and Co. but is just given the staff by Pythagoras, who talks to her after his death through the pyramid.
Aspasia’s fate is somewhat left ambiguous in the end because Kassandra’s focused too much on the vision from the pyramid.
Overall, it read a little bit like a weird fanfic! I saw glimpses of the characters we love from the game but since the author cut out such big pieces of the plot and every side quest - which makes sense since it was a very short book - we didn’t get to see too much of them either. Except for Kassandra, who is a lot more no nonsense than I imagine her as. There’s no flirting or and very little joking, but I really liked her resourcefulness and unique fighting style. And her love for Phoibe and her family that shines like a beacon throughout the entire book, from the very beginner where her mother tells her it is unspartan to love. Of course, our lovely Kassandra is a lover and a fighter and that does not change no matter what ❤️
Hope this list helps some of my fellow lovely wonderful odyssey fic writers I love you all so much you beautiful souls 😘😘😘

Yoongi:
Updated 01/20/24
Tumblr media
Desolate - @angelicyoongie
you just wanted a cute little normal cat to keep you company. so you’re not really sure how you ended up with the grumpiest hybrid on earth that seems hellbent on making your life difficult.
Only Yesterday - @borathae
"Your life in a small countryside village was nothing of the extraordinary, you owned a quaint little teashop, enjoyed warm evenings in your garden and liked taking walks by the river. One day a handsome stranger moves in the abandoned cottage opposite side of the river and it is not long that he becomes a source of comfort in your life.”
Only for You - ^^
“Yoongi likes to pretend that he only lets you fuck him because you are the one who wanted it. You are hellbound on showing him that you have long seen past his lies.”
License to Steal - @broiunno
Min Yoongi is your new protection detail upon your return to your father’s side after being sent away during a bloody gang war. Now the dust has settled, you’ve been called back to your old controlled life, and leaving you an unwilling participant in your family’s plans. You don’t know what they are but you are no longer willing to be the obedient, protected daughter.
Highway to You - @btsmosphere
Yoongi never expected to see you again. Least of all with a gun in your hand, crashing an important deal in a whirlwind which proves how much has changed.
Call Me Naïve - @btsrunmylife
You and Yoongi have never exactly gotten along. Truthfully, this wouldn’t be such an issue if you didn’t work together. But there have been far too many times when his sarcastic comments have rubbed you the wrong way. His most recent shenanigan might just be the icing on the cake, especially because you know absolutely nothing about it until it’s too late. What’s worse is he’s gotten his friend involved, a friend you happen to get along with rather well — maybe too well. Yoongi’s intentions really weren’t to drive you away. His curiosity merely got the best of him. But now…he’s woven an intricate mess he can’t get out of. And he can’t help but wonder, will this be the thing that finally pushes you over the edge?
Fix You - @casuallyimagining
When you take in a stray cat, you have no idea he’s secretly a hybrid trying to escape his past. Can you help him heal?
Home - ^^
Sequel to Fix You
The Lonely Hearts Club - @cinnaminsvga
social media au where y/n and yoongi are mutuals but they’re constantly at each other’s throats for reasons unknown (aka emotional constipation)
From the Ashes - @fortunexkookie
Someone is sobbing ugly, wrecked sounds that shatter the silence in the room. You need them to stop; it’s distracting and you need to focus. You need to clean the ash from his skin. You need to comb the knots from his hair. You need to dress his beautiful body in something befitting the king you know he is… but the sobbing is too loud, and your vision is blurry. It takes Yoongi wiping your tears away for you to realize that the gasping cries echoing off the stone are coming from you.
Tip of the Iceberg - ^^
Oh, that Min boy? He’s a sweetheart, of course. Jimin said something about him getting into a new relationship with someone, but he hasn’t brought her by yet, so I can’t be sure. I just hope this one sticks around, he’s really so much more than he first seems to be. All those tattoos and whatnot, people tend not to notice that he’s really just so caring and gentle. You know he works at one of those stuffed animal stores in his free time? The ones with the dancing and the hearts and picking out your new best friend kind of theme. Ah, what a nice boy. I hope he has a good holiday. I’ll have to ask Jimin how it goes.
Asphodel - @hayjeon
hades!yoongi and persephone!reader.
Maybe I'm a Little Dangerous, Maybe Love is Too - @hollyhomburg

(Alternatively, you're Yoongi's manager and for the first time ever, you take a break away from him.)
Worshipers of the Stars - @jimlingss
The universe was created with four gods to rule and watch over it. But when you take the crown and become god of all gods, what the future holds is something you never wanted to know.
Inheritance - @jincherie
After your grandmother passed she left everything to you. Her house, her fortune, and apparently… her cat? The grumpy male hybrid you encounter at her house is anything but the tame housecat you’d expected to find. Fulfilling your grandmother’s last request to look after him becomes a lot harder when he seems to be avoiding you, and your dissatisfied relatives start stirring up trouble.

I may as well write up my other AU idea. I’ve been sitting on this one for a while; I knew the foundation but not the direction it should go. I think I have it now.
It’s a time travel AU, but I haven’t seen this specific angle: a young man named Izzy finds himself thrown 300 years into the past and, whether he likes it or not, on course to become the historical figure he grew up reading about as a child—the infamous Izzy Hands. Can he escape his fate?
The idea is Izzy is a young man in present time. He grew up reading about pirates. He knows all their tales. He loves pirates and stories of adventure at sea.
The golden age of piracy is slightly less appealing when a freak storm dumps you 300 years in the past, though.
Izzy struggles to survive. He has nothing. His family is gone. He’s no one. Well no, that’s not quite right. Because he knows full well there’s a historical figure with his name and he knows almost everything that will happen to him. Which means he must, under any circumstances, avoid it.
He finds work, is enlisted or press-ganged into the navy, deserts and has to turn to crime, and finds himself in the company of the one man he feared running into: Edward Teach. Well that’s fine, so long as Ed never becomes Blackbeard, so long as Izzy doesn’t become his first mate, so long as they don’t become friends and sail together, maybe Izzy can circumvent fate.
Except they do become friends, he does help Ed become Blackbeard, and by the time Ed makes him first mate, he decides he can’t escape his future because it’s already set in stone. Or rather, ink.
Knowing what his future holds, Izzy leans into it. He lets the story play out. He accepts that this is just the way it’s going to go and it’s kind of nice to not wonder.
But then Stede enters the picture. He knows about this, too. Knows there’s no fighting it and yet he suddenly isn’t ready. He doesn’t want to lose Ed. He doesn’t want to see them all die. Maybe he can save them all from their fate if he can just get rid of Stede. Maybe the historians got some things wrong. Maybe there’s some fuckery involved. Right?
But the more Izzy fights his fate, the more he ensures it.
Here’s where things change a bit. I had the idea pre-season 2, before I knew the alternate history the show would create, so I went by the real accounts. Which means as far as Izzy knew, Stede Bonnet never catches up. He never finds Ed. So when he does show up, it flips everything Izzy believed on its ear, and he has to accept that either things can change or the historical accounts were wrong. Which means there’s hope. He can save himself. He can save them. That’s his turning point.
The idea ended with him taking Stede and Ed aside and explaining everything to them and telling them how they all die, and they realize it all sounds an awful lot like a fuckery (Blackbeard’s headless body swimming laps around the ship? Come on!) so they proceed to fake their deaths. It’s endcapped by Lucius becoming “Captain Charles Johnson” the author of “A General History of Pirates” and revealing to us that he intentionally wrote the accounts to support the fuckery and this is the “fate written in stone” that Izzy grew up reading.
.
That’s changed now that I’ve seen season 2, so here’s where my idea goes now:
By the time Ed is waving a gun around threatening the crew, Izzy is tired. He wants it to be over. He tries to circumvent fate one last time and end things on his terms. But that doesn’t take either so fuck it, he’s living. And so does Ed because he can’t die yet either can he? They’re going to be dragged kicking and screaming to the end of their final chapters. So. Whatever fate has planned, Izzy will take the path ahead of him one step at a time without worrying about what comes next. His fate is sealed, but the little things can change. The people whose lives he never read about in books can be spared. He can choose to live with what time he has left in the way he wants to.
He keeps that mantra up until he’s facing down Prince Ricky. He gives his speech as his own eulogy because he knows it is. He doesn’t know quite how it’ll happen, but Izzy Hands vanishes from history after this day and is declared dead by an author writing under a pseudonym (true facts, there’s still debate over Captain Charles Johnson’s identity), so he knows this is the day he dies.
And it happens. But he’s all right with it because he always knew, and he prefers going out on his feet while fucking over the British Empire with his family around him. Beats some cold, damp London gutter, right?
I could leave it there, and that wouldn’t be a terrible end, at least no worse than the show, but as a treat to myself, that’s not where it ends.
Because there’s a storm brewing overhead, not a clear sky like just hours ago. Purple lightning, echoing thunder, the sky starting to let loose just as Izzy says his last words. It’s familiar. Izzy welcomes the rain like an old friend and remembers the first time he was caught in a storm at sea in a little sailboat while daydreaming about pirates.
Then he’s in the forest. Again. He knows what’s about to happen. He knows Ricky is about to turn, to draw, to fire. There’s hardly any time at all. He shifts his weight to the right. The bullet catches a little farther to the left. The pain feels different.
He reaches out for Ed right away. They limp to the ship together. He’s laid down in the spot where he died—will die—may die again. He doesn’t know if he says all the right words in the right order this time, but he tries. He still wants Ed to hear them.
The thunder of his heart is different in his ears and it’s distracting. Stede is there this time, pressing on the wound and cursing him out, telling him that he doesn’t get to go out this way (parallels to Stede’s dream anyone?). Izzy grins through the pain and calls him a twat.
It all slips away again.
.
The crew is gathered around a pile of earth. They’re quiet and solemn. Stede plants a marker made of drift wood.
“Did we really have to have a funeral for the fuckin’ figurehead?” an irritable voice calls.
“It’s the spirit of the thing,” Stede objects. “He deserves a proper burial. And the Revenge can’t be the Revenge anymore, not if we’re going to avoid the navy. A headless unicorn kind of stands out, don’t you think?”
“Oh good, you do have a basic grasp of being inconspicuous,” Izzy calls from the back of a small cart, laid up against some sacks of food that need to be taken to “The Royal James,” as the ship has been renamed. “Just hurry up before the tide goes out. Or did you plan on running the ship aground yet again?”
“That was one time!”
.
As an epilogue, we skip ahead five years where we find Lucius in London, selling freshly printed copies of “Captain Charles Johnson’s” new book, “a General History of Pirates” and reassuring a customer that it’s all true from first-hand accounts while sharing a knowing look with Pete from across the print shop.

Greetings…as the anon who first posed the possibility of Viserys escaping and finding Luke and Osferth, I raise myself one more member of the found family gang: Daeron. So stay with me: during the war Tessarion dies: either the canon way or for a more angsty direction there’s a major confrontation between Daeron and Aemond once Daeron learns what Aemond has done and surprise surprise Aemond can’t control Vhagar who utterly just tears Tessarion’s throat out. Daeron can’t handle being in Westeros even after a pardon and he decides to go into self exile across the sea where he meets Luke, Osferth, and Viserys. Maybe Daeron saves Osferth from some bullying or perhaps he helps Viserys out of a jam. Either way, neither party knows the others’ true story. I feel like this would be such a great au not just because Daeron being a great guy and helping Luke take care of Osferth would be sweet, but I think having them both speak of the death of their dragons using coded language would just bring them extremely close. Also? It would be a total comedy of errors because ever since Luke’s own isolation he’s had to learn what being a peasant is like from a very specific upbringing that a minuscule percentage of the world also experienced. Him finding Daeron and them both being like “this is the way it’s supposed to be, right?” to each other and then agreeing while everyone around them is like nope that’s not the way to clean boots. Or the two of them not realizing how they move the world is totally weird, but they can’t recognize that it’s weird because they see it as normal in each other. Just a couple of regular dudes who don’t know how to haggle falling in love. Only one day Daeron and Luke see the shadow of Vhagar across the clouds and both decide it would be safer for the other if they just left because both think Aemond is hunting them. Cue another comedic error in which they way they decide to leave the other is just by not coming back to their shared cottage at the same exact time: both think they are the abandoner and feel so much guilt…until they reunite. “I left you, don’t you hate me?” They say at the exact same time. Let’s give Luke a break and give him an easy man to love and be loved by
This is so sweet 🥹 turning such tragedy into a slightly angsty yet humor filled rom-com is beautiful. I love the idea of Daeron somehow finding his way into the city of Tyrosh and stumbling upon a small market filled with humble commoners just trying to make their living while their children play along the shore. Helping out one brown haired child out of many that’s being picked on by some others for reasons Daeron can’t understand until he actually gets a chance to see the little boys cheeks which are marked by dragon scale. And it’s right then and there that something just clicks that this is deeper than what it seems. One thing leads to another and the boy introduces himself as Osferth before dragging Daeron to the fish stands to meet his Muña and qȳbor, only to see the boy who bares a strong resemblance to the long dead boy in the portrait his half-sister has hung up in Dragonstone’s main hall standing right alongside his second presumed dead nephew. A family reunion for the ages!
Once we get past all the shock and confusion and fear and overprotectiveness, Daeron somehow manages to convince Luke that he comes in peace and by pure coincidence after leaving Westeros as Tesserion’s death was just too much to continue living there. Something that melts Luke’s heart immediately as losing Arrax has forever left a dent in his heart and the pain in his uncles eyes is far too real to be faked. Luckily for Daeron he’s a beta therefore welcomed in their little city within the city.
For some reason I can’t help but feel Luke and Daeron are much worse at being normal than Viserys is. Maybe’s it’s because they’re older but being able to successfully wash clothes and cook without burning pots is nearly impossible (Luke’s been there the longest and he can still barely boil water. Little Osferth has gotten used to the taste of extremely well done beef since weaning off the teat)
But now they’re there to validate each other’s fuck ups along the way. Daeron is skinning a chicken in the worst way possible and now all the good bits have been torn to shreds and the bird basically died for no reason at this point? Well he did a better job than Luke ever could. All the clothes Luke stitches are either way too tight or nothing aligns well leaving a short and long sleeved mess of a Jerkin? Well it’s wearable in Daeron’s opinion at least. Always there to validate the fact that they’re doing great when in fact they def aren’t. It comes to a point where the only person who’ll try Daeron’s bad cooking until he improves is Luke and Daeron will happily wear every piece of Frankenstein’d clothing Luke makes. And they for sure didn’t get ripped off for paying 5 sliver shillings when going out into the main city to buy a single pound of lamb.
Them reuniting even though they tried to run away for the others benefits but failing because they basically have the same mind? Omg this gives me butterflies.
It’s actually funny because Daeron and Luke’s dynamic is so sweet right off the jump whereas Lucemond need a good five to seven arcs of pure pain to get there LMAO.

Hey monkey king if mk gets kidnapped and tortured how will you find him and what will you do?
This is pretty much exactly what happens in my Demon King Red AU- MK misses his training session and Monkey King doesn’t hear from him for awhile.. usually when he’s missed a session or is late he will show up the next day all apologetic and flustered because he just forgot or something typical for his scatterbrained successor. When enough time goes by Monkey King decides he better go check on the kid, he may have gotten in over his head.
Turns out MK is missing, and the Demon Bull Family is in charge of the city again. DBK even has the staff again.. At first Monkey King thinks it’s not a big deal, he trusts MK and knows he’s tougher than he seems, so if he gives him enough time, he’ll show up again and set this right.. Monkey King is retired, after all, he’s not going to get his hands dirty anymore, especially not for his old friend the Demon Bull King.
Anyway, long story short, MK does not show up again. Red Son, who MK had a brief affair with, has apparently turned against the heroes to rejoin his family and nobody knows what he did with MK.
Monkey King finally decides he has to join the fight. He teams up with MK’s friends hoping to help them find MK, because he knows the kid is still alive. He has to be. For some reason, though, they can’t seem to locate him. Monkey King starts getting a little nervous.. MK’s friends are there for him in those moments, luckily, and they help him realize that they can’t keep waiting for MK to come back. Monkey King decides he needs to handle this himself. He confronts DBK and demands that he tell him where MK is and that his family stand down. Obviously that’s not going to work. DBK believes himself on the precipice of victory, he’s not going to let some ridiculous simian stand in his way.
Monkey King never wanted to fight his old friend. He certainly didn’t want to hurt him. That’s why he went the “sealed under a mountain” route last time; he hoped a bit of time away would help the bull and his family come around and realize that this whole “conquering the world” thing is rather silly. Unfortunately, this time Monkey King sees that his soft touch has led to people getting hurt. Not just people, his successor. His kid.
His kid is gone and it’s because he didn’t do what needed to be done the first time around. Just because he used to be friends with DBK he went too easy on him, tried to help him learn. He should have known by now that some demons just don’t learn. And now someone else has paid the price.
Monkey King fights back. For real. For the first time in as long as he can remember.
He kills the Demon Bull King. Then Princess Iron Fan.
Red Son escapes by the skin of his teeth, but that’s good. He’s going somewhere as he flees, and Monkey King takes his new friends and follows. The demon leads him to a hidden fortress and as they burst through the gates and batter down the front doors, that’s when he finally hears a voice he hasn’t heard in six months. He hears MK in the distance, but he’s screaming!
Monkey King rushes towards the sound of the voice and finds MK at Red Son’s feet, writhing in agony and clutching at his head where a familiar circlet is visible on his forehead… now it makes sense as to why MK couldn’t escape. He was being tortured, and by the same sort of device that kept Monkey King under control all those years ago.
He takes a swipe at Red Son, blasting him through the wall with his staff. He thinks to go after him and make absolutely sure he’s been finished off, but MK is still screaming. So he goes to him instead and snaps the circlet off his kid, just a cheap imitation of the original and easily broken. MK is sobbing and smiling and so glad to see all of them, so Monkey King completely forgets about Red Son.
…that is, until he shows up again a few months later. A bigger threat than ever before, and MK is in danger yet again because the Monkey King didn’t finish off a demon when he had the chance.

So I’ve been wanting to make this character ever since I saw @ennywashere Choco Cream Cookie and thought “Dark Choco having a dad arc would honestly be really interesting for his character”, so I decided to take my own stab at it and made Hazelnut Cookie, Dark Choco’s recently adopted daughter
I made her hazelnut because I heard hazelnuts go well with chocolate. But also because I remembered Nutella, and hearing back all those years to when I first saw those ads that they were made with hazelnuts, and I remembered it tasting a lot like chocolate, so I thought hazelnuts could be a chocolate substitute. Granted that wasn’t really true, it seems Nutella is made from both hazelnuts and chocolate, but after finding out hazelnuts and chocolate work well together, I decided to just stick with Hazelnut
Also side note, I was double checking whether or not there was already a Hazelnut Cookie, and while there wasn’t, I did find some ocs and one of them was supposed to be a love interest for Dark Choco. If the name has the same reasoning as here, that’s very clever, that
So I’ve been flip flopping about her age while making her. Originally, she was just going to be like a baby—my notes said she was no older than 2–but then later on, I realized that made Hazelnut less of a character and more like just a living prop, as she would have no real character. So I decided to age her up a bit, but she was still supposed to be very young, my top limit being “younger than Custard III”. When designing her here, I think I stayed closer to that upper limit, but I hadn’t really thought about how old she is, because I also want her to be a really little kid, that was kind of the point of her. It’s only now as of writing this that I think I’ve come up with a definitive age range for her, that being ~4 ish. I’m not entirely sure she looks that age here, as I feel like she looks too old, but if I draw her in the future, I’ll keep that in mind
Speaking of her design, I’m not too sure I’m happy with it. I wanted to design her after a hazelnut, since that’s what she’s made of, but did I go too far? And I’m not sure about her hair. Again, I was trying to design it like a hazelnut, specifically the inner cream colored part, but I couldn’t get it to look right. I think my current 2 is probably the one I’m most satisfied with (it’s actually my 3rd, but I didn’t have room for all 3, so I deleted my original 2nd in place of it. I dunno, maybe I’ll work on it. Should I lose the hood? I put it there to reference the shell of a hazelnut, but I’m not sure about it
So anyways, talking about her, so basically her story is that Dark Choco finds her in the forest one day all alone and scared (I haven’t actually worked out why or how she was there. It’s kind of a holdover from when she was a baby, where that didn’t need much explanation. A possible idea I had is that she was just baked in the Witch’s Oven and escaped, ending up there in the forest). After helping her out (maybe she was being attacked by beasts), he tries to help her find someone she knows who would be looking for her, like a family member or something. When he finds out she doesn’t really have anyone, he decides he can’t just leave her all alone out here and decides to take her with him, at least until they can find somewhere good for her to stay; they aren’t father and daughter yet. During their travels, Dark Choco starts teaching her things about the world she doesn’t understand yet, helping her with whatever’s confusing, and just generally being a caring figure towards her, as he can’t help but become emotionally attached to the little girl. And Hazelnut becomes very attached to Dark Choco. One day, when they’re passing through a town, they see a kid and their dad, and Hazelnut later asks Dark Choco what exactly a dad is. He gives what explanation he can: someone who takes care of you and protects you, teaches you about the world and how to live in it, someone who’s always there for you and loves you no matter what (during this explanation I feel like he might reflect on his own father and what his father was trying to do for him or what might have gone wrong, as he does explain to Hazelnut that not every dad is like this, but it’s what they’re supposed to do). After his explanation, Hazelnut thinks on it, and asks if she can call Dark Choco “dad” (or some form of that), since he basically already does all of that for her. He’s shocked by the question, but he says yes, she can call him that if she wants, and so then they (unofficially) become father and daughter
I’m not sure Hazelnut would be a “playable” character, in this hypothetical scenario where she or an adjacent character is somehow canon, but if she was, I’d probably put her in the Healing class, since from what I’ve been able to gather, hazelnuts have quite a few health benefits, and I wanted to incorporate that in some way
I think that’s all about Hazelnut, I hope you like her!

Let There Be Light - Thirty Six
Your head was pounding when you woke up and felt like it weighed like a ton of bricks. Your vision was blurred as you fluttered your eyes to focus them. A screeching sound radiated through your head and you immediately brought your hands up to cover your ears. The sound making it seem like your head was splitting. Nausea overcame you again - thanks to the migraine you had.
Konig’s tall frame entered in the room as he quietly shut the door behind him the best that he could. “Did I wake you Leibling?” He asks in his thick German accent. You hated him. You hated what he did to your family and you hated what he had done to you - destroy everything. Your stomach turned as he took slow steps towards you.
You laid there on a cot that was against the wall - one pillow and a thin grey blanket. Panic started to set in when you realized that you were no longer in your gear that you had on before. You had changed - better yet, someone had changed you. Konig took note of the expression on your face from the realization settling in, “Something the matter Leibling?” He asks you; the tone of his voice dangerous.
You swallowed hard as you tried to scoot back in the cot against the wall, hoping that you could become one with the cold stone that’s supported the room you were in. “Who changed me?” You ask out right. Your tone cold, but deep down you were scared. This man was a fucking monstrosity, and here you were again knowing your limitations.
Konig let out a small hum right before he answered you, “I did.” It was a simple answer, but an answer that made your stomach turn. Luckily, you didn’t wake up sore or felt like you had been touched or voilated - thankfully.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to take advantage of you,” he says. You close your eyes as a breath of relief escapes you, “Not while you’re asleep.” Your body stiffens at his words. Konig is now standing in front of your cot - bending down and hovering over your small frame. Both of his hands on either side of your face against the wall for his support. “I want to hear your screams Liebling. I want to feel you submit to me as I devour your body.”
You swallow hard and bring your piercing green eyes to his, “I will never submit to you. You’re just a coward behind that mask,” you say as you strike a nerve. You watch as his arms tense from your remark, but you couldn’t help yourself, you always had to let your mouth lead the way, “Or should I say, a fucking shirt.”
In one swift motion, Konig removed one of his hands from the wall and grabbed your throat - your head hitting the wall from the force. A small whimper escaped your lips, “Mmm, good,” he praises as he brings his mask closer to your face. “You sure do talk a lot for someone who can’t seem to say much when they are in situations like this.”
You let out a snort and snap a comeback the best you could, “Kind of hard to say something when you’re crushing my windpipe dumbass.” You were pressing your luck, but you wanted to push his buttons just to see how far you could push him. To see how much patience he had before he snapped. It could be a dangerous thing, but mind manipulation could also be the thing that saves your life.
Konig applied more pressure on your throat as your hands clung to his wrist to alleviate the pressure. Once again, that tight feeling in your head came back from lack of oxygen. “I think you enjoy this Leibling,” he taunts looking you in your eyes, “Maybe that’s why you try to get under my skin so I can punish you for it.” If it was Simon Riley, absolutely - not this fucker who gave the orders to execute your parents.
“Fuck you,” you manage to say out. You watch as his eyes change from lust to straight hunger.
“I plan on it Harley.” The way he said your name made chills form across your body. “Soon.” that one word, made you shudder. You had to find his weakness before he trapped you under him. Your mind was wandering back into that dark place that made you feel helpless, but you were fighting with everything in you to stay strong and remind yourself just who the fuck you were - and it was mentally exhausting.
A little red blinking light caught your attention out of the corner of your eye. You try to turn your head slightly, but Konig held you tightly in place against the wall. “Curious little one?” You hate his voice. You hated his touch and most of all, you hated him. Before you could come back with a smart ass comment, Konig beat you to it, “Now we can’t keep them waiting,” he taunts.
‘Keep them waiting’??
Konig removes you from the wall and slams your body back down onto the cot - his massive frame enveloping you. You remove your hands from his wrists and bring them to his neck to try and choke him. A small chuckle came from the giant man as he was able to grab both of your wrist in his hand and pin them above your head. His weight evenly distributed between the hand holding your wrists and the one around your throat.
“I wonder how upset your boyfriend will be once he sees how your body submits to me?” Konig asks you dangerously.
Your body stiffens at his question, but a sense of relief swept through you indicating that Ghost wasn’t dead.
“Which one was it again? Ghost or his friend they call Soap?” Konig let out a small laugh once he seen the expression on your face. “What? Didn’t think we knew?” He says as he brings his face close to yours, “We’ve been watching you all for a while,” he pauses, “Trying to find the perfect opportunity to get you.”
Your stomach turned at his words. You were right, it was all a set up. Nausea coarsed through you again as you try to remove yourself from Konigs grasp.
“I-I’m going to throw up,” you tell him lowly. Your body lunges forward as he removes his hands off you. You lean over the side of the cot and start dry heaving - trying to get whatever was in your stomach out. The migraine you still had didn’t help either, and you knew that was probably the culprit to your nausea.
You took deep breaths as you tried to regain some sort of composure. Whatever this shit that was upsetting your stomach and making you sick was getting old and annoying. You jump at the touch of Konigs big hand on your back. You felt disgusted. Every part of you want to shower and scrub the living hell out of your skin.
“Throwing up. No fever and no signs of an infection or cold,” Konig said out loud, but it came out more like a question. You laid there on your side, frozen and not wanting to move - his hand still on your back like a weight holding a piece of paper down. “Hmmm.” He grabs you by your shoulder and pulls you so you are on your back again staring at his green eyes.
He brings his fingers to the side of your neck - checking your pulse. You freeze not wanting to move, knowing this man could snap your neck at any given moment. He trails his fingers down your throat and stopping at your sternum between your breasts. Your breath hitched from his unknown movements and unknown intentions.
Konig grabs one of your breasts and your hands immeidalty fly to his face. He catches your hands and pins them above your head yet again. You try to wiggle out of his grasp, only realizing you were arching your back and giving him a better angle at touching you. He trails his hand down to your stomach and pushes lightly.
“Ow! Stop!,” you yell at him. Nausea hits you again as tight pressure hits your stomach.
Konig clicked his tongue before sitting up and removing both of his hands off you, “Tsk tsk tsk Leibling.” You lay there on high alert as Konig sits back on his knees between your legs, arms crossed. You look up at him with a confused look on your face, not knowing what in the fuck he meant and why his demeanor changed.
“What?” You ask him with a sharp tone. You couldn’t see his face, but seeing how his eyes were slightly squinted, you could tell he was smiling.
Konig uncrosses his arms as he positions himself over you again. This time, you don’t try to stop him - you just lay there. Your body and mind tired of fighting a losing battle. “You don’t know,” he says inches away from your face.
“Don’t know what?” You ask as you furrow your brows. You watch as his eyes go from yours, back to your stomach and then meeting your eyes again. You still lay there under him confused at the message he was trying to send. Your mind thought maybe you had something on your shirt or shit, did you start your period and it was coming through.
Period.
Your eyes start scanning everything around you fast while you tried to think of when you had your period last. Nothing. Nothing came to mind. You swallowed hard when the realization of the nausea and sickness and why it was hitting you at random.
Tears stung your eyes once again, but this time you didn’t know if it was from happiness or sorrow. You had too many emotions going through you at the moment. Your watery eyes drifted back to Konigs as your green eyes met his.
“Pl-please don’t hurt me,” you say to him in a faint whisper.
Konig chuckled before getting closer to your face, “Not while you’re with child Liebling,” he pauses. “But I promise I will make you feel good.”
You swallow hard as the tears ran down the side of your face and onto the cot you were laying on. Now you really had a reason to get the fuck out of here - you just had to play it smart. It wasn’t about you anymore, but about the tiny human you had growing inside you now.
You felt Konig get off you as you stared at the ceiling. You didn’t move, but you could hear him getting further away from you. The door screeched again as he opened it and you nearly jumped out of your skin when he slammed it shut. You were left in this quiet room, but your thoughts were too loud.
You placed your hand on your stomach and thought of the many ways you would escape this place, tell Ghost he was going to be a father and the names you both will pick out together.
Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can take their place.

CW: Carl gets shot
A few days after the disaster of the CDC, the group decided to abandon some of the cars. It's easier to keep you all together, and you don’t have to use as much gas. You ride in the RV with Adi and Gracie.
Jesse is upset at you again, so he elects not to ride in the RV. So there you sit watching Andrea fiddle with her gun while Shane instructs her. Everyone has been tense about the CDC situation. You could tell that some people in the group were upset with each other.
“How much longer do you think until we get there?” you ask Dale.
“I have no idea. The highway is blocked up pretty bad.” he tells you, “Oh jeez. Aw no. See, a way, though?”
Daryl nods at Dale and nods his head to follow him.
“Uh, maybe we should just go back; there's an interstate bypass.” Glenn suggests.
“We can’t spare the fuel.” Dale tells him.
“Jeez.” Glenn says, looking at all the abandoned cars.
Then the engine starts sputtering, and you realize that the radiator hose is shot yet again.
“God damn it. Not again.” you say.
“I said it. Didn’t I say it?” Dale starts complaining, “A thousand times. Dead in the water.”
You and everyone who was in the RV get out to examine the damage done by the trashed radiator hose.
“Problem, Dale?” Rick asks.
“Just a smal matter of being stuck in the middle of knowwhere with no hope of-” Dale then looks around, “Okay wait that was dumb.”
“If you can’t find a radiator hose here…” Shane says to Dale.
“There’s a whole bunch of stuff we can find.” Daryl says.
You walk over to where Jesse is. He is listening to the conversation from the car he was riding in with Rick's family and Carol and Sophia.
“Can you stay in the car with Gracie?” you ask him, “She is ready for a nap and I think it would be better if she was with someone.”
“Yeah, sure. Whatever.” he said to you.
You knew he was upset with you. That was no secret to anyone. Why he was upset with you nobody knew except for you and him. You passed Gracie over to him and he got back into the car with her to give her a nap.
“Adi, maybe you should stay with Jesse in the car until we get moving again” you tell her.
“No, I wanna help you find things. I can help.” she tells you, “I promise I will stay with you.”
“Okay, but you stay with me the entire time. Okay?”
“Okay.”
So you and Adi went to look for food, water, medicine, and supplies. You went through a few cars before you found a medicine bag. When you opened it you found general meds like Ibuprofen, Advil, Claritin, and Tylenol.
“Y/N look!” Adi says pointing at something in a suitcase she had opened.
When you walked over you found some clothes that would fit Adi and some toys.
“Good find Adi.” you tell her, smiling down.
“Thanks.” she says back with a smile.
You and her continue to go through cars together until you find something that you didn’t expect to ever see. You walk over to where Adi is looking though bags you click and hear a soft whirling. She turns around to see you pointing a camera at her. Not just a camera, but a polaroid.
“What was that?” she asks you.
“Look,” you tell her, as a picture comes out the top, “this is an old camera people used to use before digital or disposables.”
She grabs the picture and looks at it.
“But nothing is on it.” she tells you.
“Well it takes time to develop,” you tell her, “you see if you-”
You were cut off by Lori telling you and Adi to get down. That's when you see it. Dozens of walkers. You pull Adi down under a truck by where Sophia and Carl are hiding. You look over to where Carol is hiding with Lori and see her crying with Lori's hand covering her mouth.
You all stay like that for what feels like hours. Until you see that the herd of them is thinning out to where only one walker is going by at once, and after a while no more come around the vehicles. Then it is finally safe. You watch as Sophia goes to get out from under the truck. Then you see another walker grab at her. She successfully escapes that one but then runs into another when escaping from the other side.
She runs into the woods away from the walkers as they stumble to get her. Rick chases after her trying to protect her from the walkers.
“Lori. There’s two walkers after my baby.” Carol cries to Lori.
Lori shh’s her and comforts her. You don’t hesitate to run back to the car to check on Jesse and Gracie. You find that Jesse is alright and Gracie is still sleeping. Then you run back over to where the group is waiting for Rick to come back. After a while he does come back but not with Sophia.
“I found her. I thought that she may have come back on her own after I left her.” Rick tells you.
“You left my baby, alone?!” Carol yells at him.
“It was only for 10 or so minutes while I took down the walkers.” he tells her, “I will go back out to look for her.”
“I will come with you.” Daryl tells Rick, “I can track where she went if you show me where you left her.”
“Okay then we will go out right now and look,” he tells the group.
“I will go too.” Shane says.
“If he’s going, so am I.” Glenn tells Rick.
“So will I.” you tell them.
“I don’t think that's a good idea.” Rick tells you.
“Yeah I have to agree with Rick here.” Shane says, “It's safer for you to be here.”
You go over to Rick and whisper into his ear “Listen Carol is in no condition to be going out looking for Sophia. It would be better if I came instead of her and she will definitely want to go if I’m not.” Rick nods his head at your statement.
“Okay so me, Y/N, Shane, Glenn, and Daryl will all go out to look for Sophia.” he annonces to the group.
Just before you all leave to go back out Carol pulls you aside to give you a hug and tells you thank you. You and the group all walk back to where Rick says he left Sophia.
“Sure this is the spot?” Daryl asks.
“I left her right here.” he tells Daryl, “I drew the walkers way off in that direction up the creek.”
After Daryl found some of her tracks he concluded that she had in fact listened to what Rick said about keeping the sun on her left shoulder and had headed back to the highway.
“She was doing just fine until right here. All she had to do was keep going. She veered off that way.” Daryl tells you pointing at the foot prints Sophia had made.
“Why would she do that?” Glenn asks.
“Probably a walker or she heard what sounded like one.” you said to the group.
“I don’t see any footprints. Just hers.” Daryl said to you.
“So what do we do? All of us press on?” Shane asks.
“No,better if you and Glenn get back up to the highway.” Rick tells Shane, “People are gonna start panicking. Let them know we're on her trail doing everything we can. But most of all, keep everybody calm.”
“I'll keep 'em busy scavenging cars. Think up a few other chores. I'll keep 'em occupied. Come on.” Shane tells Rick, before ushering Glenn away from us.
Rick, Daryl, and you all continue on following Sophia's tracks until you find a walker. Rick distracts it while Daryl shoots an arrow at its head.
“Sophia!” Daryl shouts while Rick goes up to the walker. You follow Rick in investigating the walker.
“What are you looking for?” Daryl asks Rick.
“Skin under the fingernails. It fed recently. There’s flesh caught in it’s teeth.” Rick tells him.
“So what are we gonna do?” you ask.
“What kind of flesh is it?” Daryl asks you and Rick.
“Only one way to know for sure.” Rick says getting out a knife.
“Oh my god. You can’t be serious.” you say.
“Here, I'll do it.” Daryl tells Rick, “How many kills you skin and gut in your life? Anyway, mine is sharper.”
You and Rick look on while Daryl opens the body taking out the guts. What seems like more than normal Daryl says that he had a meal not too long ago. Daryl continues cutting and apparently finds what he is looking for.
“Here's the gut bag.” Daryl says as he plops down an organ.
“I got this.” Rick says.
You watch as he cuts open the so-called gut bag. Daryl pulls out chunks of fur and meat from it.
“This gross bastard had himself a woodchuck for lunch.” Daryl says after examining the remains.
“At least we know.”
“This woodchuck was not worth smelling this.” you tell them sniffing the air. You all stand up and walk away when you trip. You fall right into the cut open walker.
“Oh. What the fuck.” you exclamin trying to pick yourself up from the corpse.
“Shane found a bunch of water. You can wash up when we get back.” Rick tells you.
“Yeah, but my goddamn clothes are ruined.” you tell him looking at your now nasty and stained t-shirt.
“Find some clothes for you too.” Daryl says.
You all continue to follow Sophia's trail until it goes cold. Then Daryl tells you both that you should head back without him so he can continue to look.
“Daryl it's getting dark out we don’t have any lights it's pointless to be out past dark.” you tell him.
“We can’t just leave her out here all night.” he tells you.
“Daryl, as much as I don’t like leaving her out all night there is no point in continuing when it's dark.” Rick says agreeing with you.
“Fine,” he says angrily.
All three of you head back to the highway before it gets too dark. After a while of walking all of you are back at the highway. The group approaches the railing where you are walking up to the highway.
“You didn't find her?” Carol asks.
“Her trail went cold. We’ll pick it up at first light.” Rick tells her.
“Is that blood?” Carol asks, looking at you.
“We took down a walker.” Rick says.
“Walker? Oh my god.” Carol starts to hyperventilate.
“There was no sign it was anywhere near Sophia.” Rick says to her.
“How can you know that?” Andrea asks.
“Trust me. We found out the hard way.” you tell her.
“We can’t just leave her out there!” Carol yells.
That night you can hear Carol crying. You barely sleep as it is but hearing her all night makes you feel guilty. If you had stayed out in the woods for a few more minutes would you have been able to find her. If you had originally ran to find her with Rick you could have helped. It hurts.
“What about the guns?” Andrea asks the next morning while you are all preparing to go out again to find Sophia.
“We’ve been over this. Only Daryl, Rick, and I are carrying.” Shane tells her, “We can’t be firing off rounds every time a tree rustles.”
“It’s not the trees I'm worried about.” Andrea tells him.
“Y/N can I speak with you?” Jesse asks you quietly.
“Uh-” you see Rick telling people the plan, “Yeah make it quick.”
“I don’t want you to go.” He tells you bluntly.
“What? Why?” you ask him.
“You should stay here with Gracie and Adaline.” he tells you.
“Jesse I get the whole concern thing over me, okay?” you tell him, “but I’ve been out in harm's way more than you. I can handle myself.”
“It’s not that.” he says before trying to find the right words, “If you get hurt, or die, what am I supposed to do with the kids.”
“What do you mean? It's the exact same thing if you died.” you tell him, “You raise them and teach them.”
“Let me rephrase. What am I supposed to do with Adaline?” he asks.
“What do you mean? Why is she different from Gracie?” you ask.
“You know what, never mind.” he says after that.
“Wait, wait, wait, what do you mean?” you ask pissed off now.
“We can talk about it when you get back from running away from your problems.” he says to you before pushing past you.
You can see him walking back to where Gracie and Adi are still sleeping in the car. You focus your attention back on Rick. He is answering questions the others have about the search. One of the group is not paying attention and that would be Daryl. He is looking at you, you don’t doubt that he could probably hear the whole conversation. After you are handed a machete the group sets off. You try to focus on the search, but in the back of your head you keep thinking about what Jesse said.
All of you walk for a while until you find a tent. Daryl goes to check the tent and tells us that she isn’t in there until the group hears a church bell ringing.
“What direction?” Shane asks.
“I think that way. I’m pretty sure.” Rick tells him.
“Damn, it's hard to tell out here.” Shane says.
“If we heard them then maybe Sophia did too.” Carol says.
You all decided to run towards where Rick heard the bells coming from. There you find a church. It has no steeple which makes Shane think that this is the wrong church. All of you ran into the church to see if anyone was in there. All you find are some walkers. The group takes down all of them in a few minutes, which makes you think that you all are getting better at the whole fighting thing. Then you hear the bell again.
“It’s on a timer.” Daryl says.
“I’m gonna go back in for a bit.” Carol says to us.
“Okay.” you tell her.
You walk over to a bench that has a view of the whole cemetery. You look out amongst the graves. It's quiet, after moving so much these last few days it's weird but nice.
“Why were you and Jesse arguing?” Daryl asks from behind you.
“It’s… complicated.” you tell him.
“Trust me I know all about complicated relationships with brothers,” he says. You look over to him and he seems genuinely interested.
“Jesse and Grace were sent down here to stay with me. My parents were getting divorced and they didn’t want them to be in the middle of it. Jesse was not very happy about it.” you explain, “I moved down here for college because I saw the divorce from a mile away. While I was down here I got a job at a daycare. When this shit started I was there. Adi’s parents were late that day. I waited for a few hours with her until...” you pause, “I left right away with her and went back to my apartment. Then we left.”
“Why was Jesse upset about Adi though?” Daryl asks.
“In the beginning, he wanted to go back up North and try to find my parents but I couldn’t just take Adi. We were supposed to drop her off at the refugee center in Atlanta but the road got super jammed and nobody was moving. That's when I met Lori and Carol. After a week or so in camp Jesse wanted to leave again but I felt safer with the group than by ourselves.” you tell him.
“He wants to leave now?” He asks you.
“I don’t know. Probably. Teenage boys are hard to decipher.” you answer.
“Why don’t you now?” he asks. You look at him.
“I don’t want to be alone.”
The plan was simple enough. Rick and Shane went a little further for the night before heading back. The rest of you were supposed to go back to the highway. Then Carl said that he wanted to go. Then you told them that if they were all going that you wanted to go to. So you set off to find her for another hour or so.
“Dad, look.” Carl says pointing at a deer that was crossing in the sunlight. It was a gorgeous scene. Until it wasn’t. It happened so fast one second Carl was admiring the deer the next he was down on the forest floor.
You immediately go to help him. You take the flannel you were wearing and press it down on his wound. Rick falls down next to him.
“Rick, I need you to press down on this for me. Okay?” You ask him, he follows your instructions.
You put your head to his chest to hear his heartbeat. It doesn't sound good but he is still alive and breathing. Next thing that happens is you hear something big coming from the forest. He is apologizing profusely, but right now you are focused on keeping Carl alive.
“I can get help for him, there is someone who can help.” he tells you.
Rick picks him up and we all start running. Ultimately you and Rick run way faster than Shane and the other man can. Every so often Rick will get tired of carrying Carl and you help him get situated again before starting to run.
“How far? How far?” Rick shouts at him.
“Another half mile that way. Hershel. Talk to Hershel. He will help your boy.”
The closer and closer you get to the place the more you realize that you are on a farm. As you approach the house you see people coming out.
“Was he bit?” the older man asks.
“Shot. By your man.” Rick tells him.
“Otis?” A woman speaks up.
“We need help. Now.” you say urgently to the older man.
“Get him inside.” he tells you.
You help Rick get Carl inside the house. He lays him down on a bed and backs away. You take the rags from Hershel and press on Carl's abdomen.
“Keep applying pressure to the wound.” he tells you, “What's your names?”
Rick doesn’t say anything.
“Y/N and Rick.” you tell him.
“Okay well we are going to do everything we can. Okay?” He reassures you. “You can move now.”
“I was a nursing student.” you tell him, “I can help.”
“I think right now I would prefer to work with people I know.” he tells you.
“Yeah, right.” you say backing off of Carl slowly while one of the women replaces your hands with their own. You gently take Rick out of the room to see Shane.
“Is he alive?” the man asks who shot Carl.
“What the hell were you thinking? You ever hunt before today?” you ask him.
“Of course I’ve hunted before. I just-” you cut him off.
“Yes, he's alive. Lucky thing because the bullets are still inside.” you tell him. Before walking back inside.
Walking into the room where Carl was, you see both Hershel and the women looking at you with pity.
“Your son is extremely lucky he isn’t dead right now, but he is losing a lot of blood and is going to need more.” he tells you, “Can you or your husband donate to him?”
“Rick isn’t my husband and Carl isn’t mine. But I have type O blood so I am more than happy to donate.”
“Oh I am sorry. Come here.” he tells you, holding up the equipment you would assume for the transfusion. A few minutes later Carl wakes up screaming after Hershel tries to get one of the fragments of the bullet out.
“Stop! You're killing him!” Rick yells coming into the room.
“Rick, do you want him to live?” Hershel asks him.
Hershel tells Rick that he needs to put Carl under to get out the rest of the pieces. Shane and Otis leave to get the supplies while Maggie goes to get Lori.
About an hour later you see Lori coming up to the house. You are sitting on the porch drinking orange juice and eating a cookie. Rick is in Carl's room giving him another blood transfusion.
“How is he? Is he alive?” Lori asks you from a distance.
“He needs surgery, Lori. He’s been getting blood transfusions from me and Rick for the past hour.” you tell her.
“What are his chances?” she asks you.
“You need to ask Hershel that. Not me, I'm sorry.” you tell her.
“You have nothing to be sorry for sweety.” she tells you while walking into the house to see her son.
You sit back down on the porch and look up at the sky. It’s calm for a minute until you hear Lori crying. This brings you back to the reality of your world. It’s not calm anymore.

DCST x IT AU Ideas 🤡🎈
(I’m tired of having it living rent free in my head since… 2021?!)
Tumblr media
A-side (🎈🤡🦁🃏🧪 - if you know, you know)
🎈On a rainy day, Tsukasa lies to Mirai telling her that he’s sick so he doesn’t have to go outside to play with her. He soon ends up regretting it, as Mirai disappears leaving no trace behind.
Tumblr media
🎈A few months pass by and everyone seems to have forgotten about Mirai as another girl disappears. However, Tsukasa is persistent in his search.
🎈Senku is the new kid in town. He isn’t popular and he doesn’t care that much, but he still can’t help but get a crush on Gen when he’s nice to him and signs his yearbook on the last day of school.
🎈He ends up getting bullied by Hyoga, Homura and Mozu, and barely manages to escape before Hyoga manages to cut his finger off.
🎈That’s when he ends up meeting Tsukasa, who looking for Mirai with his friends Ukyo and Ryusui.
🎈They help him escape and go to the town’s farmacy to get supplies to aid Senku, but soon realize they have no money to pay for it (and in the meantime, IT ends up taking Mozu).
🎈That’s when they run into Gen, who distracts the pharmaceutist so they can steal all the stuff they need.
🎈Once they meet outside, and while Ukyo is trying to patch Senku up, Tsukasa invites Gen to join them the next day at the lake.
🎈The next time they see each other, Gen has cut his hair uneven and both Tsukasa and Senku comment on how it suits him.
🎈After they play by the lake, Gen gets home and finds a poem in his bag, which he wrongly assumes it’s from Tsukasa.
🎈More weird/creepy things start to happen, and Gen ends up calling them over to his house the following day to help him clean all the blood that covers his bathroom, which apparently only he can see.
🎈By then Senku notices that something is going on between Gen and Tsukasa, and decides to take a step back, missing the conversation they have where Gen quotes the poem and concludes that Tsukasa wasn’t the one who wrote it.
🎈By the end of the day, they realize that a lot of them had been having weird visions.
🎈They find Hyoga and his goons bullying Chrome and Kohaku, two kids from outside town, and decide to help them out.
🎈Once they’ve joined their group, Senku tells them about the pattern he discovered in the disappearances, which seem to happen every 27 years.
🎈Chrome tells them about how grandfather thinks town is cursed and they all discuss the different visions they had: Tsukasa sees Mirai, Chrome and Kohaku see a very sick Ruri, Ukyo hears things, and Ryusui has nightmares of drowning.
🎈Gen notes how they’re all related to their fears.
“What are you afraid of, Senku-chan?” He asks, noticing how he’s the only one that apparently hasn’t had a vision yet.
Senku stares at him for a moment before looking away and murmuring: “clowns”.
🎈After IT finally shows itself, Tsukasa decides to go after the creature in the hopes of finding Mirai and they all end up following him into an abandoned house.
🎈Ryusui ends up getting seriously injured and they only manage to escape because Kohaku stabs IT.
🎈While Ryusui is forced to stay away from them (because they “put in danger the heir of the Nanami family”), the rest of the group separates after fighting about going after IT again or not.
🎈Only Kohaku and Tsukasa are willing to fight.
🎈Gen realizes that the creature probably feeds on their fears and ends up getting kidnapped before he can tell the others.
🎈Tsukasa goes to check on Gen and finds his parents dead as well as a note from IT telling him that he has taken him. He gathers the others and they all agree to return to the abandoned house and get into the well where they believe IT hides.
🎈IT sends Hyoga after them, but he ends up getting defeated by Ukyo and Kohaku.
🎈Following what seems to be Mirai, Tsukasa ends up finding Gen floating in the air and promises to come back for him later.
🎈However, the others also find Gen, along with the other missing kids. They manage to get him down, but aren’t able to wake him up.
🎈It isn’t until Senku tries and quotes the poem that Gen comes back to his senses. They kiss, only to get interrupted by Kohaku reminding them that they still have a clown to find.
🎈They reunite with Tsukasa and beat IT.
🎈All the other kids stop floating and once they’re safe Tsukasa finally breaks down, having to accept he won’t be able to get Mirai back.
🎈Gen tells them about the vision he had while floating about the older versions of themselves going against IT once more and they swear to come back if IT ever returns.
Tumblr media
🎈Gen announces that he’s leaving the town to live with his uncle Stanley.
🎈Tsukasa kisses him goodbye.
[End of part 1]
B-side (🎈🤡🧪🃏🦏)
It’s either still Tsukasa who lost Mirai or Senku who lost Suika (I’m sorry), but the group leader is Senku instead of Tsukasa, and Sai is the one who makes the poem for Gen.

BFishTober - Prompt One: "It's not too late, let's go."
I'm posting this late as hell, but here. Oops.
Banana Fish - Eiji Okumura/Ash Lynx - TW: Blood
It’s 5:30 pm, and Ash isn’t at the airport. Eiji bites his lip and swallows heavily, doing whatever he can to try and bury the emotions rising in him. Some part of him had held out hope, trying to find excuses for why Ash might be late. Sing had texted him some time ago, letting him know that Ash had received the letter, so he knew. Ash really wasn’t coming.
Ibe slides a hand across his back, landing on his shoulder in some semblance of a hug.
“Eiji. We have to go and get checked in.” He has a sympathetic tone to his voice, with an expression to match.
Eiji’s lip starts trembling without his permission, and he masks the tear that slides down his cheek by pretending to scratch his eye. “Right.” He says, despite feeling like his world was crashing and burning around him. He stares into nothingness for a beat.
“Right.” He repeated.
Ibe sighs and squeezes his shoulder before letting go. Wordlessly, he takes a hold of Eiji’s luggage for him. Distantly, he wishes that he hadn't tried to help him. He felt like holding onto his suitcase was one of the only things keeping him grounded.
They start at a slow pace and head for their terminal. His feet are making what is probably an annoying noise as he drags them reluctantly.
Someone brushes against him as they join the queue, and he jolts so abruptly that it takes his breath. He whips his head to the side, hoping and praying that he would be met with a blonde-headed man.
Instead, he is met with a stranger who’s giving him a strange look. Eiji swallows against the lump in his throat and whispers a half-assed apology. The man doesn’t respond, and so he turns to stare at Ibe’s blurry back. He swipes quickly at his eyes.
They're at their terminal, and his heart is starting to pound so hard that he’s genuinely a little unsure if he’s having a heart attack or not.
“Eiji, do you have your ticket ready?” Ibe’s face fades back into focus, and Eiji nods wordlessly.
He reaches into his jacket pocket mindlessly and pulls the slightly crumpled paper out. They’re third in line now.
Shit. What is he doing? Did he really think that this was all going to work?
I mean, cmon. What was he meant to do? Go back to Japan and pretend everything was normal, that Ash never existed? There was nothing waiting for him in Japan. His family, sure, but beyond that there was nothing. He would never be able to forget his time in New York, and with no future waiting for him at home… Pole vaulting wasn’t an option anymore, and he’s not the college-type. His future was here. With Ash.
Ibe is handing his ticket over, and then he’s through. Eiji thinks he might be hyperventilating.
Damnit.
His feet slap against the linoleum tiles, and he’s aware that sprinting away from security right before going through is definitely suspicious as hell, but he has to do this.
He can’t board that plane, he can't go back to Japan. He wonders if Ibe has noticed his escape yet.
At some point he realizes that he doesn’t even have his suitcase, but he doesn’t stop to look for it. In fact, he only stops once he’s outside the airport and hailing a taxi. He’s… not really sure where he’s going.
Ash could quite literally be anywhere. Where does he even start looking?
He starts with the old apartment. A good twenty-minute drive later and he’s paying for the taxi. He thanks every god he can think of that the apartment staff remember his face, but even after being let in it’s no use. Ash wasn’t here with no clue as to where he was.
If he wasn’t at the apartment he was probably out on some job, which meant Eiji would never find him. At this rate he wonders if he should just wait in the apartment and see if he returns.
With no other plan, he takes a seat outside the apartment door and catches his breath for the first time in the past hour. He’s in the middle of counting his own breaths when he remembers he can call Sing. Sing was one of the last people that he knows for sure saw Ash. His phone is in his hand and ringing before he knows it.
“Eiji? The hell are you doing? Ibe is freaking the fuck out looking for you!” Sing manages to get his sentence out before Eiji, and he winces a bit.
“Uhm. Well, it’s a little complicated. Can you tell me where Ash is?”
There’s silence on the other line, and then cursing. Distantly, Eiji is a little impressed with how many curse words Sing strings together.
“Eiji we ain’t doin this again. You got to go back to Japan. Seriously.”
“Sing, if you can’t tell me where he is, tell me, but I’m not going anywhere without Ash. You should know me well enough by now to know I’m serious.” Eiji feels a little guilty for snapping like that, but he has to find him and Sing is only delaying the inevitable.
Honestly, why is anyone surprised it turned out like this? Ash and I are a package deal. Everyone knows that.
A hint of guilt pings in his mind.
I almost left him. I was gonna leave Ash.
Sing let's out a heavy sigh, “Last I saw ‘em he was off of 6th Avenu-”
Oh shit! Of course.
“The library! Of course he went there. Thank you, Sing!”
Eiji hangs up and is stumbling to the elevator before he can even get his phone back in his pocket.
The ride in the taxi felt like it lasted forever, but finally, finally he is getting out in front of the library.
It’s a familiar sight, and he has no doubt in his mind that Ash is in his regular seat.
The library looks the same as it always does, and across the reading room Eiji can already see him. His head is pillowed in his arms, with the sun beaming down to illuminate his blonde hair.
Eiji exhales deeply and makes his way over, and as he approaches he can see his own letter. A flush creeps its way onto his face and he tries to shove away the embarrassment. It’s good that he read the letter at all, he tells himself.
He pulls a chair over and pokes Ash’s cheek roughly. He knows there’s no point going gentle, this man sleeps like the dead.
He doesn’t wake up yet, so he pokes him again.
And again.
And again.
He’s shaking him now, roughly jostling him by his shoulder.
“Ash, wake up. It’s me, I… I came back. Did you finish the letter? We have a lot to talk about.”
No response.
Eiji feels something bubbling up in his chest, not quite fear but something close to it.
“Ash? I'm not going back to Japan. What…” Ash’s arms fall away. His shirt is sticky and wet with blood. Fresh.
Eiji sucks in a breath and flounders a bit, his hands starting to shake. He shoves his shoulder much rougher now, trying to get a response.
It doesn’t work, his eyes still shut tight to the world. Hesitantly, so hesitantly, Eiji presses two fingers to the side of Ash’s neck like he’s seen in movies. He holds his breath and presses harder than he may have needed to.
Distantly, faintly, he felt it. A barely there thrumming that rises to meet his fingers. He imagines that it’s reaching out for help, begging him to save him.
He gulps in air, feeling a piece of him come back to life, and reaches down to Ash’s shirt.
He’s not skilled enough to know what kind of wound this is, but it doesn’t take a genius to know that there’s too much blood. He applies pressure and sobs in relief at the slight wince on Ash’s face.
The way his fingers slide across his phone screen as he dials 911 makes him feel sick.
The lady on the other end instructs him on what to do, but all he can hear is the slight breathing coming from Ash’s body. All he can see is the way his eyelashes flutter if he presses too hard. All he can smell is the scent of metal and blood.
Eiji is distantly aware that people are noticing what’s happening around him, but it doesn't matter. Nobody does, except Ash. Ash, whose eyes are fluttering open to groggily stare at him. Eiji cracks a tearful grin at him in response, and rubs a blood-soaked thumb across his pale cheekbone. The paramedics are crowding around them now, trying to pull his hands away from the wound.
“It’s not too late, Ash. Let’s go, yeah?"

shoutout to gale for being so nice and enabling me anywhosits heres like a whole collection i have so far it’s not that fleshed out okay where was I. for every part of lore I get wrong you’re legally allowed to throw a pebble at me.
SO taking place in oliver’s timeline so I can play with the soulmates concept I guess. They also dont really have names so we’ll just use the place holders I’ve been using. whoopsie.
In Ni no Kuni, Oliver finds this lady (haven’t drawn her yet) who gives him a tip about this other fogged up area of the world and some ghost town civilization somewhere. They find this traveler at some point who’s actually from that civilization. He’s not too sure how long he’s been alive but he tells Oliver about it so he can better find it because for some reason this man can’t just tell him directions to it as much as he wants to.
There was a god made out of clay, molded by the people of the civilization. They make her based on what they want her to do. In this case, they wanted a guardian for their land and someone who can answer to their every need.
One day, there was disagreement among the people and suddenly they tore her into two. One side had more clay than the other, meaning their new god would have more power than the other. The one molded with more clay was to perform the duty to answer their needs no matter how immoral or self destructive. The other one with less clay was the new guardian to protect their land. These gods had no memory of who they once were as a whole.
Those who molded the guardian were worried she wouldn’t be powerful enough, and they kept her away from the other god because they thought he’d kill her. But in the end they recognized their kinship and treated each other like family. The traveler was a close friend of theirs.
People thought splitting the clay god was a good idea. But their mouths were too loose and the first half was enraged after hearing this. They thought humans were much too selfish for such kind and dutiful gods, they engulfed the land with mist and one day, the memories made in the land, of the land would be gone forever. Their stories, songs, legends, history—everything would be lost no matter which stones or whose hearts they were engraved in. It would be as if it hadn’t existed at all, like how they kept the secret they were once one loving individual that was torn into two because of greed.
Anyone who stays in the mist would also disappear when the first half expunges it all. The second half, a loving sister, roams the ghost town, still as its guardian, muttering poems and humming songs of its sad tale.
The traveler finishes his recount of this story, saying he had been able to escape the land before the mist engulfed it. He had returned multiple times just to figure out how to help his friends and his home, and when he finally figured out how, he realized he couldn’t do it. Not under Shadar’s watch, nor the white witch looming over them, prohibiting them from using magic.
He learned he could help one soul from this world by helping their soulmate in another. And while that was one of his many leads, he did the next best thing. Spreading his home’s history to as many people as possible. Although, he knew this was a futile task, seeing as no one could help at all.
Oliver asks him what he’ll do in the end. He says he’ll go back to his home and disappear along with the mist. Hopefully provide his friends some company when the time for expunction comes—if they even still remember him.
Oliver decides to help and ask the traveler what they look like, in an attempt to find their soulmates in his world, Ichi no Kuni.
Although when he and his friends get there, they’re a bit baffled their soulmates look fine. On the outside, at least.
OKAY yeah I dont really have names they’ll go by labels for a bit. The first half’s soulmate is a friendly mechanic with his own humble repairshop in Motorville. Somewhere inside it is reserved for a private investigator’s office? Firm? There’s two signs up front. They’re good friends with each other, as well as a young lady dressed in black who’s the mechanic’s little sister, just like their soulmates.
Somewhere by the repairshop is a little fortune telling booth with a lady inside that Oliver can't recall where he's met her... until Drippy tells him she might be the soulmate of that lady that gave them the tip on the lost civilization.
okay some commentary bcause i know better than to put THAT in tags <- hit the tag limit too many times.
sorry i just whipped up that hopefully nnk-ish clothes i am terrible at character design i hope it doesnt look like nazcaan clone WUGHH. i also like the idea of soulmates being stark contrasts but this guy is mega MESSED UP !!!!! i'll put their drama in some other post or. uh. spomething. also umm i had the nnk2 artbook open the whole time and referenced stuff from there sorry if they look like citizens. theyre little guys. sorry if i get drippy out of character it was funny in the moment
