Y/n L/n announce to star in Disney Pixar's live action 'Brave' amid rumours of her new romance
Posted October. 1, 2023
Tumblr media
Just last night the fan-favourite actress for live action Merida, Y/n L/n, was confirmed. The only twenty-two year old actress has made big waves in the entertainment industry since her debut in the 2017 revival of Stephen king's 'It', playing Beverly Marsh. And has gone on to play a supporting part in Greta Gerwig's 'Little Women' and star in Ari Aster's 'Midsommar'. And as of late the actress is starring in Sofia Coppola's 'Priscilla' set to come out November. 3, 2023.
Disney's live action 'Brave' is set to come out Summer of 2024, a specific date has not yet been released. But fans are already anticipating the film, coming off of the success of live action 'The Little Mermaid'.
Y/n has been rumoured to play Merida earlier this year, rumours the actress had denied several times, after they died down. One rumour she just can't seem to get her fans to let go of though is her romance with New Jersey Devils rookie defensemen, Luke Hughes.
And we suppose the reason got that being, it was true.
L/n attended the Devil's preseason game sitting with the other wives and girlfriends of the team. Very reminiscent of friend of L/n's Taylor Swift attending the Kansas City Chiefs game just a couple days prior.
But in only a few days fans seemingly love this match, and we can't help but agree. And we wish this couple all the luck in the future.

This is quite old but I never got to post this when I finished decorating my sketchbook.
For context, I decorated a sketchbook that a friend from school gifted me when I first got into Professor Layton back in March of this year. I recorded the process of myself making the drawings and pasting the printed photos onto the sketchbook and everything, i keep forgetting to to edit the video, it’s still sitting in Capcut as we speak 😭
This sketchbook was PACKED to the brim of Layton doodles and drawing in it brought me out of my art block that was lingering on my mind for like I believe months. Though while the sketchbook didn’t have many pages, I was just having a wonderful time doobling characters from my new obsession. Every now and again, I look back at the drawings I made and the scrapbook pages I crafted and I’m like: “wow, this was the most fun I’ve ever experienced.” In all honesty, I’m pretty glad that I got into the Layton fandom, it’s so underrated and yet it’s such a joy to be in, even though I’ve only been in it for a few months at this point. It’s still so cool and very fun!
Anyway, sappy dialogue out the way, Layton is very goated fandom :) I still have A LOT to catch up on the Layton lore before NWOS comes out. I hope I’ll be caught up before then ehehehhe 🤭

Do you have any controversial Ghost band opinions?
Y'know what, let's talk about it:
Now the thing with Ghost is that it's all pretty much fanon. Like the lore and stuff, a lot of the stuff comes from fan opinions/headcanons that are more generally accepted. Like to put in a meme, it's this:
Tumblr media
So headcanons and stuff are never really wrong. Unless we get a chapter that comes out like and says for sure "this Papa dislikes this or likes that" everything is open to interpretation. And so you can also like or dislike any of those things. And even if it goes against canon, it doesn't mean it's not fun or okay to do. It's all fandom, it's all fun and we're using it for escapism anyway.
That being said, I think my most controversial thing, which i don't even know if this is controversial but:
Awkward!Copia > Shy!Copia for me personally
Confidently awkward Copia is so much more fun to me than shy rat man. Like he calls Nihil a dickhead to his face, he rides around on a tricycle on stage, he says obscene weird shit on stage without much care. He fingers the air on stage. That's the Copia I think is more canon to me.
I just love him as this awkward dude whose not shy, but will definitely say something a lil off because he just has no filter. Like maybe a little shy when dating, but he'd also pretty directly tell you he thinks you're gorgeous/wondderful/sweet/the-best-thing-that's-ever-happened-to-him. It's sweet, it's a little funny. He'd still have insecurities and stuff, like even the most confident person you know is going to be a little insecure in some areas, but I don't think feeling insecure would = shyness. Maybe sometimes feeling shy, but he's never been like a timid person in any of the chapters in my eyes. Like said earlier calls Nihil a dickhead to his face, and directly insults him a lot.
Like man can say stuff like this TikTok. That's Copia for me.
EDIT: Tumblr not letting me link so

Guys I made something 🙆🏻‍♀️
I was writing my rp with @oldmanwithashield where I play Ezra @lothal-cat-jedi and its a sabine x ezra rp focused on their reunion as adults, so I was listening to the playlist I made for these two back in november, and then a new idea appeared: I was listening to the famous song Bad Habits (I wish I knew you wanted me) and I simply couldn't get the need of seeing a video of those two with this song, so I gave in and decided to give editing a chance :")
Never did it before, just like a small kid doing edit with cute pictures, but this time I knew a little more how to operate the app on my cellphone. I used gifs, most of them created and posted by the sweetest @seleneisrising and @oldmanwithashield . I used one of the most famous editing app for cellphones, old and reliable CapCut (first time I used, but this app is popular and rising for quite sometime, and I can say it's very nice!)
There it goes, this is the video!! :)
I hope you guys enjoy, I didn't love it but also didn't hate the results, so yeah! There it is!!
This video is made only for fun, I don't intend on receiving any payment from it. Also, I don't own any of the pictures (they belong to Disney Star Wars company) neither the song! If any talented editor see this idea and want to remake it, feel free to do it (also, PLEASE, I'd love to see more edits of these two!!)
Have fun and enjoy sweet person on the other side of the screen!

10 things I've learned as an artist
(Resources below text)
Take a step back - I know we all get a lost in the sauce but if you look at the bigger picture, you can pick up on things that look strange or that you don't like.
You can criticize your art but don't hate it - I've said this before but hating your art is hating your progress. The only way to grow is by learning the things you liked/disliked about your older pieces.
Listening to music helps you more than you think - Every art teacher I've ever had always played music in their classroom. Classical, alt, rock, pop, etc. ever since I've noticed my art had more emotion tied to it and (imo) was sharper.
You're only able to draw anime? That's not a bad thing - Drawing anime can be very helpful when it comes to drawing human profiles and it can also help with proportions. No one can tell you how to make art. That's the whole point of it. It's subjective.
You can totally have multiple art styles - Of course you would hear this come from me. Having multiple art styles can help you find the one you like and it's fun to do. I usually take all the sketches I've done and take bits and pieces i like outta them.
Never be afraid to use a reference - Reference models/artist put their pictures on the internet for people like us! The their whole thing is to help young/inexperienced artist to get a grasp of anatomy, creases, and gestures. Never be scared to use one.
If you're working on the computer, give your eyes a break - This doesn't just go for artist, this goes for everyone. I know I'm gonna sound like a parent here but looking at a screen for hours really can make you tired. It can fuck up your melatonin production because of blue light from the screen.
Don't just give your eyes a break, give your hands a break, too. - For the love of fuck please don't spend 4 hours on a huge piece and not give yourself at least one (1) 30 minute break. Carpal tunnel and Arthritis are artist killers. Rest yourself.
Avoid burnout - (This goes for everyone too) Feeling burnt out can take you out for years if you let it get bad enough. I know your art is important to you but remember to keep an eye on your mental/physical health. Being well rested, having good nutrition, and going on a walk every so often can make you feel amazing.
Show your family and friends your art (if you're comfortable with it) - I like to show my mom and siblings my art sometimes. Even though my mom doesn't get it most of the time, she's always happy to give me pointers and compliments. My brother really likes my art and was super excited when I got confident enough to show him. He thinks the way I draw Kris (Deltarune) is incredibly gender and loves it when I send him my pieces.
Here are some apps and websites I use to help with my art:
Pureref - This is an app I use to keep an eye on references while drawing. You can set it to remain open even when in a different software. It's free but they accept donations.
Krita - This is the art program I use. It's reminiscent to Photoshop (something I'm familiar with) but it's completely free and you can get it through their website (Or Steam... if you wanna pay $15 for it).
Krita-Artist.org - Krita has a forum for their users to help other users and give news/updates. There's hundreds of resources, free brush packs, and tutorials on there to help you out.
CapCut - Video editor that's mostly used for Tiktoks but it's easy to use, free, and has it's own copyright detection system. I use this for animatics.
AdorkaStock - Reference photo website that allows you to choose poses from angles, objects, number for models, and positions. All the models are clothed, it won't jumpscare you. They all also have different body shapes so if you're worried about having to draw a chunky character with a slim model, you're all good on that front.

Hi! Hope it's all good, I wanted to ask you what software you use for your edits I've honestly no clue where to start but I've loads of little clips of yours saved :D
hiya!! im so sorry for the delayed answer, i swear tumblr doesnt give me notifs about my inbox im fuming. this is quite long so the answer and some editing tips are under the cut! please feel free to reach out if there's something that doesn't make sense or if you ever need any tips or help!
i personally use adobe after effect 2020 with some plugins! most people would probably use adobe premiere pro for compilations like the ones i do but im WAY WAY WAY more used to after effect due do making daily fancams/edits in the past (i do not recommend doing this btw- got burned out after doing it for about a year LMAO). so for example if you're interested in making edits like this or this i'd go for after effect but if you wanna make stuff like this or this, premiere pro is probably the way to go, even if i use AE for both 😭
adobe products are very expensive and you need quite the computer for it to run it without crashing all the time so if you dont have the resources or want to dedicate some time into researching turrenting + vpn and how to install it properly + the plugins on top of learning a pretty confusing (at first) program i'd recommend capcut! it's a free phone app and ive personally never used it, but ive had a lot of mutuals before use it and it looks great and pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it.
learning after affect is extremely frustrating i wont lie, but it's probably the best software if you want to do complicated stuff or simply just get smooth slow mo that you often use in edits! it's worth it in the end after you get the hang of it! there's a lot of youtube tutorials out there and i'd love to help with settings and keyframes if needed!
using AE can be a little bit of an overkill if you're only looking into trying editing to see if you think it's fun and worth the time it takes, so phone apps is honestly an amazing start to get into it. i just decided to go 120% out of nowhere due to getting a hyperfixiation on deciding to learn how to edit and doing it in a more "professional" way and potentially become an editor in the future -> which did not happen. or well. i did end up having a tiktok account with 45k followers when i posted a lot of my edits of shows that i liked but i was potentially thinking of becoming a yt editor or maybe work in media more. however im a burned out nurse student now LMAO
personal tips when it comes to editing;
i use while editing is to make a mindmap or simply just write down key elements you want in your edit to make it easier and prevents you from having to redo your edit (which is painful).
to make the edit "run more smoothly" make sure to fade the clip to be more dark at the end and start the next coming clip with a fade from dark to light. learning slow mo can be tricky in any app, but if possible i use the same thing with clips where it starts faster, is the slowest in the middle of the clip, and starts to get to normal speed at the end of the clip to make the transition over to another clip seem smoother and not like a raw cut.
this might be more of a editing style preference but i always add a slight zoom (either in or out depending on the transition) at every clip so that it's not as awkwardly still. i also always add a slight shake that you cant really see unless you focus on it for the same reason as the zoom. i found that even if the transitions are extremely simple or not even there at all, these small things make an edit look way more "professional" and less choppy.
next thing is "just" to learn what transitions you like after that and dont be afraid to mess with settings, even if you follow a tutorial. its all about finding your own editing style and what you like more!
i download youtube videos using loader.to but screen recording also works! i download mine to make the fps be correct to match when im slowing down a clip but that might be a bit overkill. youtube4kdownloader.com is a great website to cut clips from youtube videos to download too! just make sure to use adblockers when using the websites!
also: editing takes a lot of time and dont feel discouraged if it takes long to finish one! once you have more of an editing style it becomes more of a routine the more you edit!
these tips can be used on any editing app (with the slow mo being an exception in some apps) but then again, dont feel like you need any of it and just go ham on whatever ideas you have! id love to see any edit of yours :D

Help In Jimin Promotion | How to edit Positive Jimin content
Creating positive Jimin content
Want to make a jimin edit but don't know how?
In this post I will do my best to guide you through the basics of editing so you can promote jimin in a positive way.
Before you start to make your Jimin content, and ask yourself the following questions:
📍 What do I want people to think about Jimin after they watch the video? 📍 How do I want them to feel about Jimin after watching the video? 📍 What do I want to achieve with the video? 📍 What do I want people to do after watching the video?
Having these goals in mind will help give you a clear picture of what you want your content to achieve in the long run for the benefit of Jimin's image.
Remember: we want the content to highlight him in a positive light.
After you thought carefully and planned your intentions, let's start editing!
For Youtube Videos:
Editing softwares: I recommend Movavi and Filmora, both are free to use and are very beginner friendly.
For more advanced editors, Sony vegas pro is a great one.
Watch editing tutorials on youtube for the specific app/software you want to use, and edit as much as you can. You don't have to be the best editor out there to make good jimin content, just edit as much you can, the more editing you do, the better you'll get.
if you feel a little lost with what type of content you want to make, look at your favorite edits/videos, study those and use them as a guide for your edits. (make sure to put on your own unique spin on them).
Note: it's not always about having tons of effects in your videos, sure it looks cool but having too many effects can actually distract from the point you're trying make across to the viewer, so sometimes less is more.
Text to speech - if you're not sure you want to use your voice for videos, text to speech is the perfect alternative to make your videos more engaging without having to do that. There are plenty of free text to speech mobile apps out there, use the most simple ones for your videos.
If you're using a PC/windows, all you need to do is use OneNote, the app is usually already on your computer but if it's not, simply download it from the microsoft store. Write the text you want to use for your videos, and then have the app read it to you through clicking on immersive reader, record it with the windows free voice recorder, and there you have it!
All you need to do is transfer the recorded track to your editing software, match your video clips with voice recording and you're done! This video explains step by step how to do this:
youtube
Background music: For tiktok, you can add any music/sound you want in the background, but If your video is meant for youtube, make sure to use copyright free music.
For Tiktok/Youtube shorts:
There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to make tiktok edits, the more popular ones to tend be made with:
CapCut app
But you can make a tiktok edit with any software as long as you make the video 19:6 (vertical).
There's definitely a need for more informative tiktok videos with accurate facts on Jimin, so you can use the text to speech for those as well!
Editing is a fun and effective way of relaying information in a way that sticks in people's mind, which is what we need in order to counter the false narratives, change the narrative surrounding Jimin and introducing him to new people.
And most importantly:
Make sure your content shows Jimin for who is, free of any false narratives and tropes. Show people the qualities that make him the great person and one in a lifetime performer he is. Make them see what YOU see about Jimin.
We can't blame people for not knowing what we know about him, we need to show it to them.
Making content is the best way to do so. The same way that haters spread misinfo about him, is the same way we need to spread positive info about him. Make people see what made you a fan and inspire more and more people to show their love for Jimin openly.

This is a little retrospective on things I made in 2023
Fic and video edits (mostly the latter, not counting clip compilations). Because slow progress is progress and it's nice to look at it all together. Putting this under a readmore since it's going to be long.
Video edits:
January: Julian x Garak: I Wanna Be Yours (Star Trek: DS9) This was a very simple edit I made in like a day (most complex edits take me a very long time; I'm a slow editor). The song doesn't fit my headcanon for them very strongly but it was fun, I'm just gonna quote part of what what I said in the description on YT "I really enjoy moments in my edits/making edits that focus on where characters get to kind of exist in contexts/settings/we can spend some time as a viewer in the moment with them." March: A lot of these I was working on wellll before March, the two succession vids are based on S3 stuff. Kendall Roy: Elijah (Succession) (mind the content warnings on this one) I actually think this is one of the best edits I've ever made and I'm quite proud of it overall. I would have liked to have done a better job of balancing the audio of Kendall's dialogue but otherwise I'm really pleased with it. Julian x Garak: Stay Soft (Star Trek: DS9) First finished more-complex garashir edit! I'm overall pretty happy with it. ✨🪩 pain 🪩 ✨ Roman Roy: The Metronome (Succession) (mind the content warnings) Quite happy with this one as well. I think a big reason that I tend to like my Succession edits so much (I think they're probably my best work) is just how good the cinematography of the show is and how much I vibe with it. April: Julian x Garak: Plans (Star Trek: DS9) (mind the cws) Bloc Party <3 Quoting how I described it in the tumblr post "I’ve got like a lot of thoughts about it but it’s broadly about like… violence and sacrifice and what people are capable of, ways people misunderstand Julian, and Garak and Julian’s friendship." I missed a frame of a following shot at one point, alas, but this was a fun very-dense with dialogue and lyrics one. June:
Tom x Shiv: Heat Lightning (Succession) More Mitski! (I have two other DS9 Mitski WIPs also) Like the quote above where I mention characters existing in contexts and settings, this really feels like a peak of me doing that for me, it's mostly them sitting/lying down/standing quietly and not being happy. Also did some juxtaposition against shots without people in it. Quite pleased with it.
August: Shax fancam (Good Omens) I did this in Final cut and Oh the effort into making those transitions happen. Here's the version on tiktok but I uh... the captions did not turn out well but they are synced to the audio. Aziraphale x Crowley: De Selby (1) (Good Omens) I made this one quite quickly as well, in under 2 days I think. Overall pretty happy with it except for the fact that I had a lot of trouble with the audio levels and I think re: overall structure of the edit that it lost some of its oomph towards the end, but I don't really know what I would have done differently with the latter. Some of the transitions in this were fairly complex and I'm mostly happy with them. The YouTube version unfortunately is pretty... artifact-y? November: I got Capcut sometime in the fall. Everything from here on out that I've posted this year has been made in that. Still vastly prefer Final Cut if I don't need fancy transitions, but harddrives and needing to update things etc. I'm also not putting anything else on YouTube until I finish my brightness edits. These two juxtaposition-y popular tiktok sound edits. (1) (2) (Star Trek: DS9) Quark bottom edit (18+) (Star Trek: DS9) - Very pleased with this. December: All of these were made pretty quickly (by my standards). a garashir edit to "Atlantis" by Seafret (Star Trek: DS9) Mostly made this out of wanting to finish something and the cuts feel a bit too fast for me but hey the act of creation! a short murder-y Garak phonk edit to BRODYAGA FUNK by Eternxlkz Mostly pleased with this. Still getting the hang of various transition things. a garashir edit to Placebo's "Running up that Hill" the text animation is kind of a mess (even on the version without the lyrics the captions are too big—I'm still figuring out caption size stuff re: what to choose) which is a shame, but I do like some of the clip timings (though some others don't quite work for me and I would have liked the cuts to have been a bit smoother in some places) and also hey made and finished something
Fic
Tuscany and New York (Succession) - [fic abandoned/not to be completed] Started this one and then chose not to finish it. However, one thing I was really enthused by was seeing part of an argument I wrote have a big parallel with what ended up in a scene on the actual show in S4. Felt very affirming re: my understanding of the characters.
with hope in your hands (Star Trek: DS9 [WIP] This is a fic I started as part of ectogeo's Garashir Wedding Registry. It's kind of a (mostly) Julian POV of the events in the continuity where ASIT/The Nexus/The Calling happened but it's also a reflection on some of Julian's closer relationships and where things related to marriage/possibilities of marriage came up within some of that. I'm currently almost done with chapter 4. 1: (Star Trek: DS9)
I think my lack of titles here and this standalone fic's place within a series probably has affected how likely folks are to read it but it's a short fic that is mostly Garak on the Defiant after it leaves Cardassia in Second Skin. Initially put most of this on tumblr but then properly put it on ao3.
2/3 ficlets for the rare pare ficlet game hellostuffedtiger made: Garak/Sloan, Julian/Picard

Hello! Hope you're having a great day, I'm going to share some information about myself here. Well, actually, I'm placing all that I feel comfortable sharing, right here.
Carrd, Pronouns.page
This Tumblr Blog:
I will post:
Drawings (I’m not an artist though)
Videos (Mainly shitposts)
IRLs (Pictures or videos, rarely)
Vents (Light ones, no heavy vents)
Reblogs (Seldomly, to avoid cluttering)
Blog Tags:
#dripping rambles - Unimportant rambles.
#dripis updates - Updates, usually some changes.
#drip dumps - Works and creations.
#dripirl - IRL stuffs, off-fandom. (I will tag them with #IRL for a more broad block)
Use Conditions of my Works:
All of my work are completely free to use! No permission or credit needed. However, please re-credit credited people within the post. However, you may not use them for hate or NSFW content. You can remove my watermark if you want to. Though you can simply request a watermark-free version from me. I'm happy to provide one.
Direct reposts to other sites are also fine, just add the source. Reposts as in directly posting the entire or portion of a work on another social media platform with no creative elements added. Permission also not needed, only credit.
About Me: (All that ‘Didn't Ask’ things)
General Info:
I'm a 16-year-old Asian. Birthday on 27th Sep. In school. Currently in Hong Kong, GMT+8.
I was born in mainland China, but was put in an international kindergarten, so my better language is actually English. I can still communicate in Chinese, but my fluency is mediocre.
Studies:
Pursuing medical or psychiatric studies. Absolutely love biology and chemistry. Currently studying for IGCSEs. Will do IBDP for sixth form, much less time in the future ;).
Taking CS50x. Self and informal study in multi-media arts, fuelled purely by my almost nonexistent passion.
Current academic subjects (IGCSE)
First Language English (0500)
Chinese as a Second Language (0523)
Mathematics (0580)
Biology (0610)
Chemistry (0620)
Physics (0625)
Economics (0455)
Fun fact: This Tumblr blog, although mainly a hobby, is sort of a preparation to be filled in my IB CAS.
Random Info:
I'm a massive introvert and have extreme social anxiety :). I'm trying to open up by using social medias. I’m open to little chats and I can help with anything related to editing.
I’m on the aro/ace spectrum. However, I’m not heavily invested into the LGBTQ community. I would prefer to avoid such topics. I do not know much about these.
I mainly use LumaFusion for editing, all of the newer “animations” are done in LumaFusion. Some older videos are made using InShot, which is similar to CapCut. I also have some experience with DaVinci Resolve, but still a novice.
Do Not Interacts:
I guess I should add these? So basically…
Pro-shippers
NSFW Posters
Pedophiles
Zoophiles
LGBTQ phobic
Meh, bad manners or dark humour are completely fine for me. You can be a boor to me, or even send death threats to me, I most likely wouldn’t care, except being worried about your mental wellbeing. But just don’t be an asshole to people around me, that’s taking things too far.

i actually have not stopped thinkin bout your bb!edit like,,,, its so good and scratches my brain right
how long have you been doin edits for? do have any tips for someone, who hypothetically, wants to start doin edits too? what programs do you use? how did you do the cool animated bits?
im so sorry for all the qustions 😭😭 i just think youre very talented and inspirational and i hope you have a good day ^_^
hi firstly oh my gosh you're literally so sweet i am gently shaking you i love you so much /p. secondly, i apologize for the long answer! (it's all under the cut. this got away from me. i'm so sorry apparently i have a lot to say.) (also you're so good about the questions i would constantly be asking one of my professors questions during class to the point where she said i didn't have to go "i have a question" every time i approached her)
i've been editing since 2016! around march/april, i think? loved it so much i went into film & video production in college as a major so i could do editing for a living. (i have done more motion graphics for my classmates than i have done edits outside of class assignments, BUT!)
the program i use is after effects - i started learning it when covid first hit the united states because i had nothing better to do with my time (other than music theory but i failed that bc my professor focused more on the history aspects than the actual theory soooo) and my ipad kept giving me the "no more storage" whenever i tried to use videostar lmao. (vs has, apparently, gotten a LOT of good updates, so if you're looking to start editing and have an ios system, i'd look into it! only downside is you have to pay for some of the cool stuff).
also the program i use for masking (i think i explain this later dwdw) is superimpose. i've been using it since 2014 and it's SO nice bc i can use my fingers to erase backgrounds & stuff instead of hoping i can get it to work correctly in ae or photoshop (photoshop my DETESTED i'll use it but i'll complain the entire time).
for people who want to start editing: tutorials on how your program works and how to do specific transitions are gonna be your best friend when you're first figuring things out! i forced a friend to literally walk me through how after effects worked when i was first figuring it out, and when i had swapped to videostar back in 2017/2018(?) i had watched a Lot of tutorials. that and played around a lot and figured things out on my own - which is also always a good way to start!! it's also totally valid to look at other people's edits for inspiration - most editors don't really care, as long as you don't flat-out remake their edit (some people don't like that!). i have a style insp folder on instagram where i save edits that i like so if i need transition ideas or i'm doing a different style, i can look there for inspiration. at the end of the day, as long as you're having fun with it that's all that matters!
also, starting simple is always okay!! my edits for a year were just me slapping gifs & video segments together on a timeline in cute cut pro bc imovie didn't load them lol & it'd crash every time i breathed. ++ it never hurts to ask people for feedback/constructive(!!!) criticism/etc! (also not to sound like everyone else but practice? good. it's so good. if i showed my 14/15y/o self some of the edits i can make now they would've passed out on the spot bc i was still trying to figure out transitions back then. programs can also sometimes make a difference in edits, but usually it's not super noticeable until you start getting to the Complicated Shit.)
a lot of popular programs i've seen are ones like video star (ios only), alight motion (android only), after effects (i recommend 🏴‍☠️ing it tbh, i only use it legally bc i had to use adobe programs for school), capcut, and i think some people still use sony vegas pro & maybe cute cut pro (i've heard it may have actually gotten better since i last used it in 2018)? i have no idea. programs also depend on whatever device you're using to edit on! since i've been using my laptop, i'm able to use after effects (it's computer-only), but when i used my phone/ipad to edit i used ccp & vs.
for the animation - it's a lot of cutting up the image and masking! more complex animations, like the one i had of leo walking down that red 'hallway' have several different layers that have been masked. (i removed the background & filled in the spot where leo originally was in two different apps - superimpose (taking leo out) & photoshop (filling in the bg)) in after effects, the way i've done this was mask out the specific thing i wanted to move (like an eye) and then put that mask on what i've called a "base" (not animated), and then stick a solid behind the base to match the color of the object. (some of my layers are not named appropriately; base 2 is the left arm & the four "SIX_[...]" layers are the mask/bandana tails)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
an example of this would be for any of the eye blink animations i did! this (above) is the same shot, with and without the eye - since it's masked out and i have the background solid behind it, it doesn't look too unnatural/have a black outline/mass where his eye should be.
Tumblr media
what it looks like without the solid layer behind it ^ (the red lines are from the null layers - ignore that)
this is what my timeline looks like if it's a more simplistic animation - the only five things being animated here are leo & raph's eyes. (there's only this many layers bc it's two characters in one shot & i was also animating their pupils - typically, an eye-blink animation is about 4-6 layers for me (solid, base, mask, & null to animate with, 6 if i'm animating both eyes & 4 if just one))
Tumblr media
in after effects, there's this really cool tool called the puppet pin that one of my friends (lovingly) yelled at me for not knowing about - which. yeah fair she wasn't wrong it's SUPER useful in animating, provided you chop up your image first. if you don't it's a mess.
(separated by layer vs i should've really put the mask tails & leo's head on separate layers and didn't bc that was the 2nd to last animation i had to do and i was losing my mind bc i wanted to be done with the edit lmao)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the way people animate depends all on their style (there's two common ways to do blinking animation - having the anchor point at the bottom of the eye, or the middle of it) and the program they use. it's been a while, but i could probably tell you how to do some basic animations on videostar still even though i've been doing them in after effects for about 2-3years now. ALSO the best way to have an animation be noticeable is to over-exaggerate it/make them Big - which, yes, can mean 'breaking bones' and having the limbs be a little wonky at the start. (if you want it to be realistic though go Just to the point where it looks uncomfortable lmao)
uhm. again i am so sorry that this is so long i THINK this is everything? if not: my inbox/dms are always open if you ever want to ask more questions, wanna follow up on something, etc etc!! (also if you ever start editing please send me your edits!!! i'd love to see them <3)
#this got away from me im SO sorry (just put this in google docs out of curiosity. 1255 words. i am so sorry for the essay.)#uhm. ANYWAY YES like i said if you have any other questions feel free to reach out!!! i am always alway willing to help people out#with stuff like this!!! i can talk your ear off though if this wasn't enough proof of that /j#if nothing makes sense it's bc i'm responding to this at like. 5am my time. so. my bad if there's typos i'm so sorry#like i think i saw this ask at 4:40ish am and i'm still making sure i've got everything covered and its like 5:32am LMAO#me when i dont sleep bc i have no routine now#ask box pals#art creds in the screenshots to trubblegumm !! <- tagging to be safe#still in shock at the amount of positive feedback im getting from my bb!leo edit like oh my god you guys are incredible ilysm /p#sorry i discovered in the middle of typing out my tags that you can edit them now after you've hit enter where am i.#also this is offtopic so its down here but i am Not complaining about doing more motion graphics than actual editing.#a bitch has won two awards for their motion graphics at festivals and i've been doing them for a YEAR#(laughs in the first time i ever did a real one i won a student award. idk how. but i DID and i won the pro category this year <3)#it would be nice tho to do more editing for short films tho :( had a professor tell me i was good at it.#i should rly start using my camera and shoot my own stuff and edit it huh. maybe i will eventually i have a few ideas.#anyway. i need to stop rambling abt my experience as a film student and go to bed i apparently need to be up in the morning but idk WHEN

What they are and how to create one
Hello everyone💕
Lately, I have been researching the subconscious mind, how it is affected by subliminal messages and how the repetition of words or images in our mind can imprint it and translate into real life experiences.
During this research of mine I came across the concept of mind movies and I learned how useful they can be to reprogram your mind and make manifesting fun and easy.
WHAT IS A MIND MOVIE AND WHY YOU SHOULD USE ONE
A mind movie is a video containing many pictures or short videos that represent a concept or a situation witch you would like to saturate your mind with and written affirmations, while the background audio can be music or a subliminal.
If you are someone who manifests through affirming or visualizing I would highly suggest trying a mind movie as it combines both methods and makes the process a lot more enjoyable. At the end of the day, I believe that manifestation shouldn't feel like a chore, and you should make the process as fun as possible.
How does a Mind Movie Work
A mind movie can target both your conscious and subconscious mind, in order to fully saturate the latter.
- Your conscious mind is immediately reached by everything that you can consciously hear and see (pictures, written affirmations, music). By seeing pictures of your desire right in front of you and hearing music that reminds you of it, you will have the sensation of living in your desired reality already
-Your subconscious mind is immediately reached by the subliminal affirmations, which you won't consciously hear, and over a longer period of time watching, and so through repetition, it will identify the pictures and videos as something that actually happened and that is actually part of your reality.
With a little discipline, your reality will look exactly like your mind movie.
How to Make a Mind Movie
If you are now interested in using a mind movie here is how you can create a super personalized one for yourself, using your phone only.
First of all, you will need an app that allows you to create and edit videos (if you don't know what to use i would suggest capcut).
Once you have an app you will need to download:
-pictures and/or short videos that represent your desire (ex. if you are trying to manifest money i would suggest picture of dollar bills and expencive items). remember that pinterest is your best friend
-a subliminal audio with affirmations about your desire. you can download one from youtube or record your own
-(optional) music that makes you feel powerful or reminds you of your desire
After you downloaded all the material you can put everything together in your editing app. I would suggest to set your pictures to show on screen for about 0.5 seconds each, but you can totally set it however you want. If you want, you can also add written affirmations on top of the pictures/videos. There are no rules when it comes to the length of your mind movie, so do whatever you please.
How to Make a Mind Movie
The usage of a mind movie is pretty straightforward: all you really need to do to make it work is watch it whenever you feel like saturating your mind.
But I do have some suggestion to make your mind movie work better and faster.
-watch it as much as you can: depending on how much it lasts, you should be watching at least 10 minutes of your mind movie everyday
-watch it whenever you feel like you are spiraling or doubting: remind yourself what your true life looks like
-stay in the wish fulfilled throughout the day: you are not watching your mind movie to obtain that life, but because that is your life already.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS ALWAYS REMEMBER TO KNOW YOU HAVE WHAT YOU WANT ALREADY, YOU ARE NOT DOING THIS TO OBTAIN SOMETHING BUT TO REMIND YOURSELF THAT ITS HERE IN YOUR LIFE AND THAT YOU CAN EXPERIENCE LOVE, LUXURY AND BEAUTY WHENEVER YOU WANT
I hope this post was interesting and helpful

Video
Soooo.. I’ve been busy. Hunt Down the Freeman.. Now made with LPS! But it’s just the first cutscene rn, I’m planning to do more while I’m at my dad’s. Lot’s o fun!
Had to re-edit the entire thing cuz it turned out wondershare filmora(the editing program I was using) has one of THE MOST ANNOYING watermarks, but the project files for filmora are not compatible with ANY other program so I had to remake the entire thing in Capcut so it wouldn’t have a watermark! I made the title cards with HitFilm express though-
I nabbed all the audio for the cutscenes from this video right here: https://youtu.be/jEWiJHM01Tk using https://ytmp3.cc/ba0a5/ Hope you find some enjoyment in this little project I have taken up cuz I really enjoy it!

ik you just changed your theme and i’ve been looking to set up my writing blog for a while now but the struggle is real🥲 ik it doesn’t have to be picture perfect or anything but i just wanna have fun with it and make it look how i like it but i struggle bc i don’t understand code at all and there’s no easy tutorials anywhere😭 i just model it how i see others doing there’s, like banners and fonts and color themes and stuff. sksnisiegebshznsbxnxn *huff*🥲
you know? I get that 100%. it is pretty frustrating especially when you have the tendency to subconsciously compare yourself to what other blogs are doing.
but sweetheart, the thing is? you won’t have fun looking at what others are doing. its gonna suck the life outta you and trust me, i know from experience.
if it gives you any sort of comfort, i don’t know how to code either and i have no desire to learn.
i get all my dividers, pics and inspo from moodboards on tumblr and pinterest. there’s sooo much you can do with capcut and picsart. thats what I use when i really want to get crafty with a theme.
my cyber clickbait theme and my netflix theme were the most complex i’ve done and I did everything on picsart, capcut and a weird retro site that gives you the ability to make gifs.
colored dividers? i don’t have the time. i get them from tumblr or pinterest.
banners? i don’t personally use them BUT, capcut.. i promise you.. go to capcut or picsart. you can most definitely make something cute
