the fact that they could just casually introduce the new places of the phouse or even film the videos there without really mentioning it, but noo, they decided to make A Thing out of it.
it makes me think of the role their living spaces have played in this parasocial (and sarapocial) relationship we have. because they've always been A Thing, that's nothing new.
their beds became part of their brand, they let the internet into every inch of their first london apartment during a time where they really gave their everything for youtube. then they took a step back, and set boundaries for themselves with the sets in the second (fake) london apartment.
it's understandable that they want to keep their (p)house for themselves and not let the whole world into this thing that's so intimately theirs. but, as they've mentioned before, at the same time they do want to show off what they've built and designed (pretty sure they talked about this on a stereo show or something). and they obviously know the curiosity is there on our part.
so when they share they do it deliberately and with purpose. and by making it such A Thing they're taking control in a way. because it's not us pointing out these things, they already make the jokes themselves, basically making fun of us but in the process still show us new corners of their house and let us in a little bit more.
it's like with 'they're touching', by pointing these things out themselves they take away some of the power we have over their experience but not any of the fun on our part. they acknowledge it and spin it in a way that works for them. at the same time it works for us because it's very transparent and they're not not doing that thing where they lie to us again (to quote them).
it's pretty neat this way I think.

Chapter 9
Billy ignored your attempt at trying to help him, though, it was true, it wasn’t entirely
He did kill Casey and Steve that night, but he didn’t do it alone, Stu was with him, he did just as much as he did. After the slaughtering was done, he made it clear to Stu that he needed an alibi, hence his short and brief sexual encounter with Sidney before he went to your house for ‘help.’
Billy hated how you were covering for him despite not knowing what was happening, you were smart, but stupid, stupid enough to believe him. You knew better than to do that. However, what he didn’t get was why Stu decided to go to your place, when he knew Billy was going to try and murder Sidney tonight.
He overheard other officers talking about another incident involving the ghost face that took place at your house, something about a heart in a box and a mask that was found… But how could Stu be this dense?
“Officer, I didn’t kill anybody.” Billy defended himself, not wanting to stay the night locked away, especially with his slip up at Sidney’s and Stu’s arrogance because the cops now know there’s two of them instead of one.
“This is bullshit.” You slammed your fist down, startling the taller-male. “He didn’t kill anyone…” Your ears started to flare red.
Officer Brinks drummed his fingers on his lap, “I’m sorry, are you his girlfriend or something? Why are you still here, interfering with my interrogation?”
Your heart skipped a beat at the mere mention of ‘girlfriend.’
“I-I’m not his girlfriend…” You stuttered, “You couldn’t tell by the way he was talking about Sidney? Sidney is his girlfriend…” You licked your lips, looking away, confidence coming back. “I’m just a really good friend who strongly believes he didn’t do it… I mean, the evidence is there. So, why would he try to kill his girlfriend?” You gave the officer a side-eye.
He coughs, clearing his throat, ignoring your comments.
“We’re gonna have to hold you, son, until we get those phone records.” Brinks explains, making Billy look down, upset. A small tear rolling down his cheek as he shakes his leg, nerves taking control of his body.
“This is crazy,” Billy murmurs, turning away, looking at Sidney through the glass pane. “You know that? I didn’t do it.” He finishes.
You step in front of the window, closing the blinds, shielding Billy from Sidney’s scared gaze. “Bil, look at me…” You mumble, taking your index finger and placing it under his chin, tilting his head upwards to look at you. “Can you two give us a moment…” You asked both Hank and Brinks, “Please?”
They nodded, understandingly, leaving the two of you alone.
“I know you didn’t do it and the police will find out soon enough that you didn’t do it, that you didn’t make those calls.” You reassured your friend, trying to cheer him up, “I’m sure it’s all just a big misunderstanding; you know, wrong place wrong time.” You smiled, and for a second, Billy’s eyes softened, his big-brown orbs looked at you with a glint of love and temptation; a hint of possessiveness lingering in them. If only you knew that it was him, that he was the Ghost Face, that these tears and sudden relations with Sidney was all a facade, nothing but lies, he wanted you and only you, he wanted this to be all done, but his revenge was far greater than any feelings he ever had, or was it?
“Billy, honestly, I know you better than any of them; better than Sidney, your father and the police…” You pucker your lips, a small giggle falling from them. “If it was you, I’d know, right? You’d call me to come help with the bodies.” You joked, “We’re a team. We always will be.” You ran your hand through his hair, playing with it, “I would do anything for you.” You blushed, still playing with his strands of brown.
Right then and there, he knew.
“Forgive me…” He whispers.
You were confused, but that quickly faded as his lips crashed into yours.
Your grip tightened in his hair out of surprise as he cups your face, kissing you with such force you’ve never seen him do with Sidney.
He knocked the chair over with his body, tumbling forward in the process. His lips never leave your now plump and swollen ones as you kiss back.
You stumbled into the window from Billy’s movement, a quiet thud emitting around the atmosphere.
He moved his hand from your chin, pressing you harder against the pane, the blinds moving ever-so-slightly, but not enough to reveal the heated session surfacing.
He roughly grabs your sides, making your gown shuffle upwards, his thumbs pressing into your skin, leaving dents. It was painful, but also very rewarding. There were sure to be bruises there tomorrow.
“B-Billy…” You moaned, feeling him press his knee against your cunt, a shrill of excitement bubbling inside the pit of your stomach
He continued to kiss you, his face pink with lust, his eyes undressing you, slowly devouring you whole.
“You have no idea how long I waited to do that…” He started breathlessly, letting go of you, but not completely as he fiddled with the hems of your nightgown.
‘God, why am I now just noticing what she’s wearing?’ He thought, biting the tip of his thumb, soaking in your beauty, his one hand never leaving its grasp on you.
You bit your lip, realization finally hitting you in the face like a bunch of bricks.
“Oh, god…” You whispered, “I-I… We can’t…” You mumbled, pushing away, “I have to go…”

titans kinks you say 👀 here's my personal headcanons - Dick: breeding, bondage, sadism/masochism, pegging, praise, marking, body worship, getting caught, and of course monsterfucking; Jason: praise, mutual masturbation, phone sex, orgasm delay, overstimulation, cumming untouched, marking, knife/blood play (only on him tho he won't risk it with his partner), and maybe a slight daddy kink? he seems like he'd be into his partner calling him daddy lmao (might send more with the other titans)
(2) back with more kinks! Gar I can see just going with whatever his partner wants to do lmao like maybe a size kink? but otherwise I think he's down for anything; Hank: definitely size kink for sure, public or outdoor or car sex, porn (watch it with his partner or making it), first time/corruption, spanking, lingerie, morning sex/maybe somnophilia; Donna: definitely bondage I can totally see her tying up her partner with her lasso, riding (her or her partner), sensory deprivation, and body worship
Nonnie I love you <3 OKAY TIME TO SIN Y'ALL this is long omg
Warning: a ton shit of kinks like gun kink and breeding for example, sex (obviously)
JASON TODD:
Tumblr media
Do I think Jason would be able to make you see stars? Yes, do I also think he'd make you laugh cuz he banged his head against the headboard? Of course. The duality of a man.
Sex with Jason is chill, it leaves you with this nice fuzzy feeling in your head.
-Switch: I don't think Jason would have a preference when it comes to which role he takes during sex, he doesn't care as long as he gets to get laid.
Sometimes he'll take the lead, sometimes you'll be the one in charge, or perhaps there wouldn't be any role at all!
However, I feel like Jason (s1 and s2 at least) would brag about him being all dominant and stuff.
Also, I feel like red hood!Jason would rather take a more dominant role to take out all the pent up frustration on you.
-Names: I know nonnie you said that he might have a daddy kink, but I have to disagree (at least with this version of Jason tho). However, I do think the red hood version might enjoy being called sir.
It gives him authority and dominance, it's a strong word that makes him fuzzy on the inside.
Kinks:
-Praise kink: he needs the validation so badly, Jason aches for it and if you tell him how good he's doing he might cry.
-Marking: There's no doubt that Jason is a little shit and would leave a hickey in a place that it's pretty much impossible to cover up. He loves the fact that, by doing this, he's letting the rest know you're taken.
-Gun kink: Jason loves playing with his guns, and the thought of you suckin the barrel of on his pistols, as if you were suking his dick surely gets him going.
He'll facefuck you with it, telling you that you gotta earn it if you want him to fuck you stupid
He's not stupid though, Jason would make sure to empty all of them and put the safety on.
-Mirros: I have no doubt that tmhe would love to fuck you in front of a mirror and force you to see how hot and slutty you look.
-Humilliation: Jason loves dirty talking, most of the time he uses it to praise the fuck out of you, but there are times that he's so mean and all he wants to do is degrade you. Aside from words, I feel like at some point he'll make you hump his boot.
Misc.
-Overstimulation
-Sex on his bike
-Mutual masturbation and phone sex (these two go hand in hand most of the time)
-Worshiping
-Maybe this might not be related to this version, but comics!Jason would have a size kink
HANK HALL
Tumblr media
Imma be honest here you guys, I don't think Hank would be really good at sex lol. Like he's not awful, Hank could probably give you a nice time, not a good time, but a nice kinda decent time.
As my lovely bestie @prettybitchfatwitch said "Hanks treats sex sex as if it's the gym" and well, I have to agree lol. I feel like with him you probably would have to fake an orgasm, anyway that's our little take. back to topic 💀
-Dom: He just gives those vibes, that's all. Maybe during his younger days he watched so much porn that know he has the need to be the one in control.
Names: I feel like at some point Hank would call himself daddy, does that mean he has a daddy kink? No, just like Jason, I feel like Hank would enjoy the power behind the name and how nice it feels to say it and hear you saying it.
Kinks:
Size kink: Hank would use his height and strength to his favor during sex, things like picking you up and fucking you or manhandling you would be his favorite things. Maybe he would brag about how strong and hung he is.
Anal: Hank strikes me as the guy who would be so into anal, I think he would love it.
Butt plugs so he can keep his cum inside of you, or perhaps he'd make you fuck yourself in one, or he'd make you keep it when you go out. Also I feel like he'd be into rimming aka eating ass.
Misc.
-for some reason I feel like he and Dawn would really into threesomes or they'd be swingers lol
Zero doubt that Dick is good, he'll make you see stars, end of discussion (I mean, have you seen what he had pulled off? He must've got game, passion, skills. Hello?)
DICK GRAYSON
Tumblr media
Switch leaning dom: Dick assess in both, but usually he prefers to be the one in control. Totally soft dom vibes, although he can get pretty mean sometimes.
It takes a while to convince him to sub, but he gives in and boy, Dick is a bratty sub. He'll take any chance to get on your nerves, making you mad it's his favorite thing.
However, he can shut up quickly and moan like a little bitch. His brattines it's just a little mask for the slut he hides inside.
Kinks:
Praise kink: this one goes both ways, he'll tell you how good your making him feel and call you things like "good girl" for example. Now, do the same to him and you'll make him explode.
Daddy kink: Dick loves the name and I think he might engage in the dynamic, nothing too wild, but he would make up some rules and pamper you. Perhaps he likes the control this gives him.
Breeding kink: Filling you up with his cum it's one of his favorite activities, it sends shivers down his spine whenever he gets to do it.
Dick loves watch his cum drip down your pussy, but he's also down to plug it, let's not talk about fucking his cum back into you.
This man is gross, he jus loves to fill you up.
BDSM: I mean, it's canon that he loves being tied up, also adding to that I do feel like he would low-key be into masochism.
Like, it might not be his biggest kink, but it's where the mean side of him comes out. However, he knows your limits and will not hesitate to stop if you tell him to or if he notices that something is off.
Adding to this idk why i feel like might enjoy a little bit of pet play? Like he won't engage with it, but would rather use it as a punishment if you really get to get on his nerves.
He'll be condescending with you, pretending to be nice when it really he's quite degrading. He'll put you on a collar and make you walk in all fours, dare to misbehave and he'll tug on it.
Misc.
-Cockwarming
-Spanking
-Oral (he's a godsend for oral, the guy's good)
CONNER KENT
Tumblr media
Just like Gar, Conner doesn't have much experience, but from what we've seen my boy it's passionate and pretty damn good lol
Sub: Conner is a sub, he just screams sub to me. If you wanna switch things up, then he might try be more dominant, but overall he prefers having you take control
Names: why do I feel like he'd melt if you call him baby boy?
Kinks:
Mommy kink: Yeah, I'm a believer of sub!Conner, to be fair he'd be a really sweet and obedient sub. He loves calling you mommy when you fuck him so good he's seeing starts.
Strength kink: Even though Conner is scared of potentially harming you with his strength, he loves the things he can do it it. Like fucking you mid air or manhandling you into a position.
Marking: He wants you to make him as yours.
sadly hickeys doesn't last long on him due his quick healing, but loves when you do it. Perhaps make him wear something of yours as a subtly way to let other knows he belongs to you.
Somnophilia: Conner doesn't need much sleep and sometkme he gets needy on the night, so getting to fuck you while you sleep it's his way to deal with the problem.
Misc.
-Mirror fucking
-getting spanked

Yo, I saw your post about orientalism in relation to the "hollywood middle-east" tiktok!
How can a rando and university dropout get into and learn more about? Any literature or other content to recommend?
Hi!! Wow, you have no idea how you just pressed a button. I'll unleash 5+ years on you. And I'll even add for you open-sourced works that you can access as much as I can!
1. Videos
I often find this is the best medium nowadays to learn anything! I'll share with you some of the best that deal with the topic in different frames
• This is a video of Edward Said talking about his book, Orientalism. Said is the Palestinian- American critic who first introduced the term Orientalism, and is the father of postcolonial studies as a critical literary theory. In this book, you’ll find an in-depth analysis of the concept and a deconstruction of western stereotypes. It’s very simple and he explains everything in a very easy manner.
• How Islam Saved Western Civilization. A more than brilliant lecture by Professor Roy Casagranda. This, in my opinion, is one of the best lectures that gives credit to this great civilization, and takes you on a journey to understand where did it all start from.
• What’s better than a well-researched, general overview Crash Course about Islam by John Green? This is not necessarily on orientalism but for people to know more about the fundamental basis of Islam and its pillars. I love the whole playlist that they have done about the religion, so definitely refer to it if you're looking to understand more about the historical background! Also, I can’t possibly mention this Crash Course series without mentioning ... ↓
• The Medieval Islamicate World. Arguably my favourite CC video of all times. Hank Green gives you a great thorough depiction of the Islamic civilization when it rose. He also discusses the scientific and literary advancements that happened in that age, which most people have no clue about! And honestly, just his excitement while explaining the astrolabe. These two truly enlightened so many people with the videos they've made. Thanks, @sizzlingsandwichperfection-blog
2. Documentaries
• This is an AMAZING documentary called Reel Bad Arabs: How Hollywood Villifies A People by the genius American media critic Jack Shaheen. He literally analysed more than 1000 movies and handpicked some to showcase the terribly false stereotypes in western depiction of Arab/Muslim cultures. It's the best way to go into the subject, because you'll find him analysing works you're familiar with like Aladdin and all sorts.
• Spain’s Islamic Legacy. I cannot let this opportunity go to waste since one of my main scopes is studying feminist Andalusian history. There are literal gems to be known about this period of time, when religious coexistence is documented to have actually existed. This documentary offers a needed break from eurocentric perspectives, a great bird-view of the Islamic civilization in Europe and its remaining legacy (that western history tries so hard to erase).
• When the Moors Ruled in Europe. This is one of the richest documentaries that covers most of the veiled history of Al-Andalus (Muslim Spain). Bettany Hughes discusses some of the prominent rulers, the brilliance of architecture in the Arab Muslim world, their originality and contributions to poetry and music, their innovative inventions and scientific development, and lastly, La Reconquista; the eventual fall and erasure of this grand civilization by western rulers.
3. Books
• Rethinking Orientalism by Reina Lewis. Lewis brilliantly breaks the prevailing stereotype of the “Harem”, yk, this stupid thought westerns projected about arab women being shut inside one room, not allowed to go anywhere from it, enslaved and without liberty, just left there for the sexual desires of the male figures, subjugated and silenced. It's a great read because it also takes the account of five different women living in the middle east.
• Nocturnal Poetics by Ferial Ghazoul. A great comparative text to understand the influence and outreach of The Thousand and One Nights. She applies a modern critical methodology to explore this classic literary masterpiece.
• The Question of Palestine by Edward Said. Since it's absolutely relevant, this is a great book if you're looking to understand more about the Palestinian situation and a great way to actually see the perspective of Palestinians themselves, not what we think they think.
• Arab-American Women's Writing and Performance by S.S. Sabry. One of my favourite feminist dealings with the idea of the orient and how western depictions demeaned arab women by objectifying them and degrading them to objects of sexual desire, like Scheherazade's characterization: how she was made into a sensual seducer, but not the literate, brilliantly smart woman of wisdom she was in the eastern retellings. The book also discusses the idea of identity and people who live on the hyphen (between two cultures), which is a very crucial aspect to understand arabs who are born/living in western countries.
• The Story of the Moors in Spain by Stanley Lane-Poole. This is a great book if you're trying to understand the influence of Islamic culture on Europe. It debunks this idea that Muslims are senseless, barbaric people who needed "civilizing" and instead showcases their brilliant civilization that was much advanced than any of Europe in the time Europe was labelled by the Dark Ages. (btw, did you know that arabic was the language of knowledge at that time? Because anyone who was looking to study advanced sciences, maths, philosophy, astronomy etc, had to know arabic because arabic-speaking countries were the center of knowledge and scientific advancements. Insane, right!)
• Convivencia and Medieval Spain. This is a collection of essays that delve further into the idea of “Convivencia”, which is what we call for religious coexistence. There's one essay in particular that's great called Were Women Part of Convivencia? which debunks all false western stereotypical images of women being less in Islamic belief. It also highlights how arab women have always been extremely cultured and literate. (They practiced medicine, studied their desired subjects, were writers of poetry and prose when women in Europe couldn't even keep their surnames when they married.)
4. Novels / Epistolaries
• Granada by Radwa Ashour. This is one of my favourite novels of all time, because Ashour brilliantly showcases Andalusian history and documents the injustices and massacres that happened to Muslims then. It covers the cultural erasure of Granada, and is also a story of human connection and beautiful family dynamics that utterly touches your soul.
• Dreams of Trespass by Fatema Mernissi. This is wonderful short read written in autobiographical form. It deconstructs the idea of the Harem in a postcolonial feminist lens of the French colonization of Morocco.
• Scheherazade Goes West by Mernissi. Mernissi brilliantly showcases the sexualisation of female figures by western depictions. It's very telling, really, and a very important reference to understand how the west often depicts middle-eastern women by boxing them into either the erotic, sensual beings or the oppressed, black-veiled beings. It helps you understand the actual real image of arab women out there (who are not just muslims btw; christian, jew, atheist, etc women do exist, and they do count).
• Letters of Lady Mary Wortley Montagu. This is a feminist travel epistolary of a British woman which covers the misconceptions that western people, (specifically male travelers) had recorded and transmitted about the religion, traditions and treatment of women in Constantinople, Turkey. It is also a very insightful sapphic text that explores her own engagement with women there, which debunks the idea that there are no queer people in the middle east.
---------------------
With all of these, you'll get an insight about the real arab / islamic world. Not the one of fanaticism and barbarity that is often mediated, but the actual one that is based on the fundamental essences of peace, love, and acceptance.

So, I never thought that I'd play Baldur's Gate 3, since turn-based RPGs are not my thing. But I was literally persuaded to play this game and I just have to share my impressions.
I did watch shorts and videos on YouTube, so I was aware of the world and characters before playing. That's why I decided to start Gale's origin
Tumblr media
and I think if I decide to replay the game, I will choose him again, since he is the best. Yes, I think he is. I love good characters, kind, sympathetic, a little ambitious, gentle and loyal. And Gale fits my taste standards perfectly. He kind of reminds me of a sweet Hank Anderson from Detroit: Become Human. Noble, kind, gentle and faithful.
And, the funniest thing is that I decided to romance Astarion. Playing as Gale.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But not because I like Astarion.
On the contrary (and now hear me out), the more I played, the more he annoyed me, and I didn’t understand why people were so crazy about him. I mean, if you want him to like you, you need to do morally questionable things. Not to mention he is absolutely not my type, I never liked characters like him. That is, Astarion is the embodiment of everything that disappoints me in characters.
And you can talk as much as you like about his life being difficult. Because this does not justify many of his actions.
However, the ship itself works surprisingly well. I mean, I really like Gale and I don't like Astarion, but their ship surprisingly works. And now in a ship Astarion seems much... likable?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically, they are a perfect complement to each other, which is exactly the type of relationship I love. They help each other, they do not “fix” each other, but complement each other. They heal each other. Their relationship is not abusive if both work on this relationship, and the love between them is that type of love that happens probably once in a century. And to be honest, I don't want to make Astarion an ascended vampire (I haven't finished the game yet), I'm sure Gale will find a way for him to walk in the sun without the ritual.
Well, now to the other characters. Karlach and Wyll
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
are just two incredible sunshines. I tried to build friendly relations with them, I didn’t choose flirt while answering their lines, but for some reason they still ended up offering me sex, and it was really awkward and painful to turn them down.
So I just started shipping them together because it's another type of relationship I enjoy. It’s a pity that their couple is not popular (is there such a pairing at all?). This is the perfect “enemies to lovers” ship and it’s a shame that they can’t, like in some games, flirt with each other if they don’t have any affair with the main character .
I have almost nothing to say about Shadowheart, I’m not particularly interested in her (my party consists mainly of Astarion, Karlach and Lae'zel), but I think she has enough fans.
Halsin… oh, he is a magnificent man, and I would have romanced him if not the reasons. But I want you to know that he is also an incredible sunshine too, kind soft teddy bear who I wanted to hug and never let go.
Tumblr media
And finally, HIM. Mysterious Guest. I knew this was an emperor, but I really liked the look I've created for him! I made him look like Hank Anderson, of course he didn’t look exactly like him, but nevertheless… I think he turned out very beautiful.
Tumblr media
Let me scream about this beaty for a while!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In general, apart from problems with the gameplay (it took me a long time to get used to it), the game is really nice. The only thing that, it seems to me, would be worth changing is the permissiveness of choices when you go through the origin of any of the main characters, as was done with the Dark Urge. I mean, Wyll, Karlach and Gail are sunshines, so I absolutely can't believe that they are capable of doing bad things. If you can't avoid bad deeds when playing as the Urge, why can't you make it so that good characters are unable to do bad deeds? Would you really believe that Gale, Wyll or Karlach would be capable of slaughtering the whole village of children? For example, I believe that Astarion most likely would not have saved Shadowheart in the first act; he behaves selfishly throughout the entire first act. But I don’t believe that Karlach, Wyll and Gale would be capable of leaving her caged.
So, yeah, that's it.

An overly passionate post about Hank Pym and Jan Van Dyne
I’d like to preface this by saying Hank Pym is my favorite Ant-man and that I don’t think he deserves all the hate and controversy he gets, however I’ve noticed a lot of his fans tend to villainize Jan Van Dyne for reasons that I think are personally sort of stupid. A lot of Hank’s fans try to defend him by painting Wasp as a creep who took advantage of him during a psychotic break/the time when he was in that fugue state as Yellowjacket by marrying him during that time- but that’s not how it went down! She married him out during that time out of fear of what he’d do to her (he tried to force harsh kisses on her and sexually harassed her etc) and out of genuine concern! Jan clearly loved Hank and would constantly try and build up his nonexistent self-esteem but didn’t know how- She would try and prop up his ego but kept accidentally feeding into Hank’s weird complexes instead. I will say that Jan flirted with other men a lot but that wasn’t her being unloyal so much as her natural personality- but when you cross that with her being more successful and younger than him and he took that as a sign she wasn’t loyal/thinking she only liked him out of pity or to make herself look better.
She wasn’t manipulating him for her own ends, she wanted to help and have a healthy relationship with him. Still, she didn’t know how to handle the situation properly- Hank needed a therapist, not a girlfriend who thought maybe if she complimented him enough, maybe if she propped him up enough they could be good together- she comes off as a person who had no prior experience with mental illness like this- no frame of reference, no idea what to do, and she didn’t seem to understand what was going on- so she accidentally enabled him and made things worse but she didn’t manipulate him. It’s pretty relatable- If you’ve ever had a mentally ill friend or whatever but had no prior knowledge of mental illness, you tend to mishandle things- you become insensitive/mean without meaning to, or you end up enabling bad behavior- it’s scary and Jan’s case she was in actual physical danger!
I’d also like to say that Hank while not at all stable had some lucidity when he hit Jan, and prior to him hitting Jan he was already displaying emotionally abusive behaviors (Destroying her costume, practically interrogating her) so no you can’t blame it his mental illness- he still had enough awareness of what he was doing (That being said who in there right mind let Hank rejoin the Avengers after he had a severe disassociative episode-I would have demanded he’d go to therapy or be institutionalized if he refused)
I do like Hank, he’s a complex/interesting character. He has an inferiority complex so deep he’s tried to kill himself, he’s made preemptive strikes to prove his worth to others, he gave himself health issues from becoming Giant-man and it’s again tied to his insecurities. Outside of his suicidal tendencies, he’s got anger management issues, suffers paranoid delusions, disassociates, etc. He’s also incredibly self-sacrificing and is a strong believer in second chances- redemption is what he wanted for himself- what he tries to convince others he can have- so he hopes he can give to others too. Also, he’s a badass mad scientist (Literally that’s what sold me on him as a character) but the point still stands he was a domestic abuser, he refused to get help for a long time until it reached a breaking point and his reputation both in-universe and out can’t ever make a full recovery- like I said he’s complicated, so you can’t just paint him as a wife-beater or say absolved of his misdeeds because of his insanity or someone else egging him on, Jan was a victim plain and simple even if you point out some of her enabling behaviors
But my ultimate hot take? EMH’s Hank and Jan are the most annoying couple- separately I loved them but whenever I saw Janet whine or Hank moan about the other all I could think was- “Please, the love of God just break up!”- I was like kid preteen btw and still found that drama annoying

Anon from before again: hell yeah! Given your blog name magneto's a given 😭 I have a scenario in mind, but anything's good!
Maybe the reader refused Erik in Cuba? She couldn't abandon Charles on the shore like that, he'd already lost Raven. Generally angst/unresolved tension when they meet again on the airplane in DoFP, could be juicy material
MY FIRST X READER EVER.
However, I'm not very experienced in this genre, so I hope it's close to what you wanted. Btw Reader is gender neutral, I didn't use pronouns so anyone can relate to them!
(sorry if I didn't write anything too explicit, I didn't feel very comfortable doing it :')
________________________________
What about us?
"I told you to stay back!" Erik shouted holding Charles close to him as you felt your heart tear into pieces.
The two most important people in your life. The people who had saved you and taken you in after a lifetime of thinking you were alone, had just betrayed each other right in front of you, throwing accusations and punches, until that damned bullet hit your friend.
You approached slowly and Erik looked at you furiously, before his gaze became softer and more vulnerable, after all, that look was reserved only for you.
“Charles, oh my God…” you knelt next to Erik without looking at him and placed a hand on Charles’ shoulder.
They were talking but you weren't listening, too busy thinking about what would happen next: What would happen to your dream? Mutants united as a family? What would have happened to you and Erik?
As soon as you thought about him, the man stood up from his place next to Charles and looked at you.
"Let's go." He said holding out a hand to you. Behind him, Raven, Sean, and Shaw's goons looked at you.
"Go? Go where?" You said taking Charles into your arms.
"Far from here, to a place where mutants can become stronger." You saw it in his gaze, a little prayer that begged you to follow him, a look that told you that if you didn't follow him, he couldn't do it alone.
"Erik, I can't." You had tears in your eyes as you looked at him. That stupid helmet cast a shadow over his eyes. You saw his gaze change before returning to being cold and detached. He withdrew his hand.
"You've made your choice." He said angrily. But you knew, only you could know how hurt he was.
All the nights spent with him came back to you: The first time you saw him, with his brown leather jacket and his black turtleneck, the first time he saw you cry alone, hidden from everyone, and without a word he was next to you, shoulder to shoulder.
You remembered the time you saw him use his powers to create a steel rose, and how that same evening, you found a steel rose on your bed. You remembered the first time he took your hand and whispered in your ear. You remembered the tone of his voice the first time he confessed that he loved you.
When you stopped thinking, he was gone, a small cloud of sulfur rose into the air and, as you held your friend close to you, you thought about how you were going to wake up without Erik wrapped around you.
Ten years later.
The atmosphere on the plane was tense to say the least. The clawed man looked out the window (Logan, the man's name was Logan, right?) while Charles and Erik played chess.
The years after Erik's disappearance had been tough. Charles couldn't go more than a few hours without the serum. Alex left with one last hug for a war he didn't know if he would return from. Hank did what he could, but you couldn't help but feel useless every time you saw him without his glasses and his hands clasped around his face when he thought no one was looking.
When Logan had helped you free Erik, telling you that it was the only way to save his future, you hadn't hesitated, but when you saw him in that gray suit on the ground, after Charles had punched him, you didn't know what to do.
Was he still in love with you?
You hadn't said a word to each other since, but you hadn't missed the look he'd given to your soaked body in that kitchen.
Suddenly, Charles stood up and went to the bathroom, locking himself inside.
You and Erik were alone, inches from each other.
"Was it... difficult?" He asked softly.
“Yes,” you wanted to answer him
“Yes, it was hard to wake up every day without you, yes, it was hard to accept the fact that you were gone. You always told me that I was the most important thing in your life, so why didn't you choose me instead of your cause?"
“It could have been worse.” You said instead. He looked at you and after a few seconds nodded.
"I missed you." He said reaching out and taking your hand in his, running his thumb over the back of it.
You didn't speak, you were afraid that just opening your mouth would bring you back into his arms.
"It was the hardest thing in my life, choosing between you and the brotherhood. I know you most likely hate me but... I haven't stopped thinking about you for a second. One of the only thing that kept me going in that little cell of sponge and plastic was knowing you were still out here." He ran his hand down your arm, your heart felt like it was about to explode. No, you couldn't fall back into it that easily, if he wanted your forgiveness, he would have to do more than that.
"We'll talk about it when this is all over." You said as the bathroom lock unlocked and Charles returned to his seat. Erik withdrew his hand.
As you soared above the American skies, you wondered what would become of you.

Where did Quantic Dream confirm Nines’ personality? The only thing I’ve seen is that they said that Nines’ name would have also been Connor.
Also, yes please on making that post about why reed900 is popular. I missed out on most of the fandom so I’d love to read that.
RK900's Canon Personality
I answered this in a different ask -- hadn't posted it before I received this one, lol -- but it was confirmed in Quantic Dream's 1st Twitch livestream. The same stream they confirmed that Niner's canon name is 'Connor.' It happened only moments apart.
For those of you who haven't seen it: he's canonically, "not likable, not sweet, but intimidating and scary" as well as "a bad guy."
Reasons Why Reed900 is Popular
This will be a long list...
Niner used to be a blank slate before QD told us what his personality was, so ppl could mold him into whatever they wanted.
Some ppl started shipping Reed900 after learning about Niner's canon personality as they realized he could be perfect for Gav.
Some ppl find it more interesting to 'redeem' characters than to write about goody-two-shoes, and canonically, both Gav/Niner are questionable morality-wise.
Some ppl are into 'enemies to lovers' and/or 'the evil power couple.'
In terms of backstories, Gav/Niner are (mostly) blank slates. All we really know about Gav's backstory is that he's "garnered the hatred of his coworkers," hates Hank, hates androids, recently got his scar (confirmed by Neil Newbon + the fact that the scar isn't white,) and doesn't sleep well (eye bags.) All we know about Niner's backstory is that he's the upgraded version of Con.
Happenstance.
Niner is Con's identical twin appearance-wise (aside from the eyes) and some ppl were intrigued by the conflict of Gav falling in love with someone sharing the face with someone he hates.
Some ppl wanted to explore the conflict where Gav had to learn how to think of androids as individuals when realizing how different Niner and Con are.
Some ppl wanted to ship Gav with Con, but Con was already widely shipped with someone else.
Some ppl wanted to ship Gav with Con, but knew it would never work... so they settled for a character who looked similar.
Technically relates to the point above, but Sixty wasn't 'unique enough' for a lot of ppl. Niner was. Both his eye color and outfit are different from Con's.
Some ppl wanted to explore Gav's character in a romantic setting and just picked Niner to do it with.
Both Neil (Gav's actor) and Bryan Dechart (Niner's actor) are very interactive with the fans whilst expressing they have nothing against the ship.
Both Neil and Bryan have essentially 'promoted' the ship by bringing attention to a popular Reed900 fan film.
Neil has interacted with the actors of said fan film on at least one Twitch stream by playing the game with them.
Some ppl started shipping them bc of said fan film.
Some ppl came across (and liked) fan works.
Some ppl think they're hot together.
Some ppl self-insert into Gav/Niner and essentially ship them with themselves (narcissistic, pathetic, and creepy AF.)
Some ppl wanted to 'punish' Gav for simply being mean to fan-favorite Con. They use Niner as an insult to injury sharing Con's face to abuse Gav -- mentally/physically/s*xually -- and put Gav in all kinds of humiliating/awful situations (sadists.)
Some ppl ship them for clout. At least one popular Reed900 3D artist has admitted they couldn't care less about canon Gav and the ship itself. They just care about exposure and how many likes/reblogs, etc. they get posting about the ship bc it's popular.
Those are the reasons I can think of rn.

Missing Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan extra hard tonight (this morning?) (it is two am.).
I know we got 12 whole seasons which is more than some can say for many good shows, but I need more.
I need Zack living life after his 13 month sentence. I need hank talking because god damn it he really was just sort of there huh like they could’ve just not made her pregnant and suddenly have a baby and it’d almost be the exact same just slightly more confusing.
I need more of my favorite autistic character because holy crap I didn’t get enough of one of if not the character I relate most to. And I need booth not really understanding her all the time but loving her so much that it doesn’t stop him from being her number one supporter and protector (and knowing full well she doesn’t need a protector).
I need cam and Arastoo being married and happy. I need Daisy caring for Lance Seeley Sweets and I need Angela and Hodgins’ new baby and I need everyone. Even just one more time.

And now my thoughts have fallen onto Hank. So many questions, where to begin? Who is he? Where did he come from? Why does he act so violently? Did he choose this path, or was it chosen for him?
All questions the Madness fandom has asked and, in many different ways, attempted to answer. Sad, angsty backstories of the loss of someone close, a rough upbringing or some kind of traumatic event.
And of course, we have the "canon" interpretation. The cold blooded murderer who has little to no regard for himself or others. No meaningful connections, no friends, loved ones, or goals to aspire to. Just a man who's really good at killing people.
And I will admit more often than not, I find myself using this interpretation for more Hank related or Hank-adjacent things, but that's not to say I haven't found myself exploring the deeper psyche of our dear protagonist, and wondering just what exactly makes him tick, so to speak.
There was a time I had actually subscribed to headcanons that made Hank more of a sympathetic character, someone to relate to and feel bad for, someone who cared for his friends and was simply bad at showing it. And while I do not challenge the validity of such headcanons, I find myself wanting to take a more...Ambiguous approach.
One of the more entertaining aspects of Madness Combat, at least to me, is the inherent ambiguity of many things. Project Nexus more or less confirmed a lot of the fandom's headcanons regarding several major characters, Hank being no exception. There have been a fair share of arguments regarding Hank's feelings to those who would otherwise be considered his friends and allies, namely Sanford and Deimos.
In a way, I enjoy how many people are discussing and debating just what Hank was thinking in the very moment he decided to betray the dynamic duo that we had just finished playing as for 1/3rd of the game, characters that we were able to easily establish an emotional connection to due to their bombastic personalities. Generally, the personalities of these two are largely uncontested across the greater fandom, but Hank's is always the topic of debate.
I enjoy this because well, it's kind of always been like this. Even in the earliest years of the fandom, there were arguments in forums and in newgrounds comments sections about whether or not Hank was the "good guy", and the debate rages on. It's endearing, much like Hank himself and the series he belongs to.
It reminds me of an idea I had, in regards to if I were in charge of a Madness Combat movie. Hank in particular is a character I would be eager to depict on the screen, to have the chance to depict his emotional ambiguity to an audience who had previously never experienced the character and his violent escapades.
I would intentionally create scenes that leave the viewer asking just how much of a consciousness Wimbleton truly has. A scene where he picks up a stuffed bear, battered and worn by years of neglect and exposure to the elements. He stops and stares at it for a moment, as if in some kind of somber reflection - before unceremoniously tearing the toy open to reveal a wad of bills inside, or some other useful item.
Was Wimbleton reflecting on a childhood lost, or perhaps the loss of innocence that now plagues his world? Or was he simply inspecting the toy in order to find the right place to tear it and extract his desired item?
I think if I were to depict the battle between Sanford, Deimos and Hank in the form of a film, I would have Hank fight in a specific way. Defensively, in order to introduce dual ideas. Does he fight defensively because he knows he's outnumbered, or does he not desire to maim and kill the duo as he does his usual victims?
Would he stab Sanford in the shoulder instead of the heart? A lucky miss, or perhaps a deliberate attack in order to avoid lethality? Is he truly fighting to kill, or does some deeper recess of his mind not desire to harm those he has fought alongside through the horrors of Project Nexus?
Would they notice it, would they see it that way, would Sanford and Deimos pick up on Hank's fighting style, or would the heat of the moment only allow them to view it as one thing: A desperate struggle for survival?

The reason I relate so much to Dale Gribble isn’t because he’s a hilarious little gremlin they keep around for comic relief.  There are a lot of hilarious gremlins out there.
I like that there is so much TRUTH in his character.  He isn’t a complete paranoid headcase character who doesn’t trust anyone ever no matter what.  He fiercely and intensely trusts the people he loves to the point that when that trust is broken he is broken.  He loves and trusts his wife and his friends so deeply that he simply cannot acknowledge it when they betray him.  Cognitively, this man is fully capable and KNOWS that his wife is having an affair that Joseph isn’t his, that his friends are lying to him about his wife.  But emotionally, he can’t handle that.  So he tucks it in the vault and does what he does best: He builds an elaborate conspiracy theory alternate reality that explains everything so he can continue living in a world where his wife and friends would never betray him.
And yeah, he can’t trust anyone else and lives and breathes conspiracy theories.  But he has good reasons to be untrusting!  He lives in a country which has committed many, many genocides against its own citizens from the gay genocide of the 80s to the Native American genocide from the 1600s to today, to slavery and Jim Crow.  He is NOT crazy to believe that his government is shady and evil because they ARE.  They really, truly are.  And Chuck Mangione really IS living in the Mega Lo Mart!
But he doesn’t let that make him a bad person too.  He doesn’t let the horrible world he lives in twist him into a monster.  Sure, he has some episodes - the rabies incident comes to mind - but on several occasions he uses his special interests and skills to help the people in his life.  He helps John Redcorn fight the government to get land from them.  He helps Hank (eventually) when he is misgendered at the DMV.  When they volunteer as firefighters, Dale switches Hank’s oxygen tank and his own so Hank gets the full one.  He transfers a swarm of fire ants onto his own body to save Bobby Hill.  He saves the entire Arlen Gun Club from a violent maniac with a clever ruse.  His knowledge of military equipment saves Bill from being court martialed when he helps return a stolen tank back to the military base!
Coward though he is by nature, he always changes his mind in the end and comes to his friends’ rescue.  He would do anything for his friends.  He goes against his very nature as a paranoid coward to help the people he loves time and time again.
Everywhere Dale goes is hostile to him.  Of course it is!  He is a neurodivergent little freak!  This man farms gerbils for meat and raises show turtles and has a special interest in conspiracy theories and guns.  He’s a weirdo.  Even in his social clubs he is engaged in constant power struggles.  The ONLY friends who stick by him, who he doesn’t have to be suspicious of are Hank, Boomhauer, and Bill.  He would be completely lonely and isolated if those three fucking messy ass dudes didn’t hang out with him.  The four of them are all deeply broken, and they need each other.  And despite the boys many many flaws, their friendship is beautiful.
