Breaking Bot
(read more for some rambling about mega man fully charged)
Mega Man Fully Charged has been on my mind again lately, which made me realize that there's literally a robot named Chemistryman who worked as a chemistry teacher. Not using him as a Walter White stand-in would be a criminal offense.
I'll have to admit I started getting back into Fully Charged again after seeing some asshole on twitter complain about the character design for the hundredth time. I just can't stand that kind of negativity. I swear to god, Fully Charged is like the Sonic Boom of the Mega Man franchise. Personally, I really enjoy the FC designs. I've probably said this before, but I feel like the redesigns give some of the more forgettable robot masters way more character. Like, do I care for Classic Drillman from Mega Man 4? I mean, yeah, I do, but I wouldn't care as much if it wasn't for his Fully Charged incarnation.
I also really enjoy most of the original robot masters. I already talked plenty about Blastowoman and why I love her so much, but I want to talk about the others this time.
Take for example Chemistryman. Comparisons to Walter White out of the way, I feel like his character was a really fun idea. God knows I had teachers who put me to sleep back in the day. For me, it wasn't chemistry though, it was my economics teacher. I always compared her to a story teller at a Christmas market who would read children stories out of her big fairy tale book. Only that in reality, it was stuff like the minimization/maximization principle. Most of my notes for that class were incomprehensible chicken scratch, because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. In the end, I slept through like half her classes, lol. But I gotta say that I still always got a B or higher in the end. Somehow. I thank god every day that I never have to step foot in a school again.
I really wish Chemistryman got a little more time to shine though. Two episodes is just way too little. I would gladly take three more episodes with him over those gross Gutsman episodes. I know I love talking about wasted potential with this show, but I wish there was an episode that focused on Chemistryman outside of the school setting. I get that his whole character is "boring, bitter teacher", but I'd really like to see what he gets up to when he's not trying to force children to listen to his chemistry lectures. Like having Aki try to talk him into going into retirement for good. And then he tries to find hobbies for him so that he doesn't bore himself to death. I can see him getting into building model ships or something like that, lol.
Now that I'm already writing up a storm again, I might as well talk about some other headcanons I have about the FC bots. Since Woodman was in sleep mode for 30 years after the war ended (I don't know where I got that number from. I rewatched his debut episode, but the exact number doesn't appear anywhere. Oh well, let's just pretend this is canon, even if it isn't.) we got kind of a Shadow the Hedgehog type situation on our hands. All of his friends and family got to live their lives in this new, peaceful world of harmony between robots and humans, while Woodman spent 30 years powered down in a bush or something. Completely forgotten about. Like, why didn't they go look for him after the war ended? I don't think Aki and Suna wandered that far into the forest for their school assignment. If you really think about Woodmans back story for a moment, you realize how fucked up it actually is.
Now my explanation for this goes into heavy heavy headcanon territory. When Suna calls the principal about Woodman, he warns her that Woodman is dangerous and to get away from him immediately. Now why would he say that? The principal also calls him "ruthless" in that same explanation. What I think happened back then was that Woodman actually planned to assassinate the human armies leader. (Possibly Sgt. Night?) The leader of the robots caught wind of his plan and put him into sleep mode himself, since he and Dr. Light were on the brink of finding a way to end the war peacefully. In my mind, this leader is the FC version of Swordman. Don't ask me why, he was just the first guy I thought of. And then it just stuck.
I know this makes Woodmans back story even more fucked up, but I just love putting my favorite blorbos through hardship. Don't even ask me about my headcanons for Drillman. They'd actually put me in prison.
Now all this culminates after Woodman is reactivated by Suna and Aki. Finding himself alienated from all his former friends and comrades (Maybe the other Mega Man 2 robot masters?), what was he supposed to do? He couldn't spend the rest of his life isolated (and homeless) in the forest, could he? And this is where season 2 could have delivered. But I'm done whining about that. If Capcom doesn't deliver, I gotta write my own season 2. Simple as that.
Anyway, getting back to Chemistryman, since he's pretty old, I imagine that he was already working as a teacher when Woodman was still around. Maybe he even was his teacher at some point.
And since I love having my favorite characters interact, I also thought of a scenario where Drillman wanders into the forest out of frustration over his miserable life, only to meet Woodman by coincidence. In the end, Woodman helps him work through his daddy issues and his body dysmorphia, while Drillman helps Woodman reintegrate and manage this (for him) completely new world of peace.
Another great headcanon of mine is that Chemistryman is actually Acidmans father. Just because I think it would be funny. And as Fully Charged has confirmed: robots in that universe do indeed have parents. (Flashback to the time I drew Dr. Light beating the shit out of Drillman's father)
Speaking of Drillman.... For being one of my favorite Mega Man characters of all time, I haven't drawn him nearly enough. That will probably be my next project.
This might also be a great time to tell you that I've never watched Breaking Bad before, lol. Everything I know about it comes from RTGame's Stardew Valley playthrough and the RTVS Half Life parody.
Sorry for all the yapping. But if I don't talk about robots at least once a day, I might die. This is a serious condition.

"He goes. You stay."
The choice offered leaves you breathless. The tone in his voice shifts, commanding complete control over you. It grips your heart and keeps a tight hold on it. Despite knowing your situation, he makes it seem like you have options to consider.
But you're the hero of this game, aren't you? He already knows your answer.
Your gaze drops to your other half. The little cat who is clinging onto your leg for his dear life. His body shakes, and trembles as he looks up at you with pleading eyes.
"Please..." Grim whimpers. "You don't hafta do it!"
As far as you're aware, Idia hasn't put him through any dangerous tests. Grim was kept to simple ones and allowed rest in between. He was even fed premium tuna. But tests were still tests and the small feline could only be put through so much. Especially when he was kept in a room with little to no access to the outside world. All he had were the employees bringing him food or taking him to another room.
Even if he could sleep and eat all the tuna he wants, what would it mean if he was trapped here?
You lift your gaze to meet with darkened yellow eyes. You try to find something, a hint of emotion in them, but there is none.
"And he'll be free?"
"As long as he doesn't lash out again." Idia answers before sighing. "Look, I don't have all day. I've got an event I need to get to, so an answer now would be nice."
You swallow and clench your fists. You keep your eyes on him, firm and steady despite the shattering of your heart.
"What happened to you...?"
The question catches him off guard. He flinches, eyes flicker elsewhere and he returns to normal, if only for a second. But he recovers so quickly it's like you didn't even lay a finger on his HP bar.
"It's just the family business."
You keep your lips in a thin line, careful not to expose your feelings. You bend down to pick up Grim. Prying his claws from your flesh stings, but the pain in your chest feels worse. You hold him against your chest, patting his back as you give him some form of comfort.
"Ace and Deuce will take care of you," you whisper.
"What?! No way! You're the only hench human I need!" Grim cries. His paws reach out to you, claws digging into your shirt and ripping the seams. "Don't stay here with this weirdo! I-I promise I'll study more! And-And not drool on ya when I sleep!" Tears prick at his eyes, desperation clear as day. "You gotta leave with me!"
You let out a weak laugh, one that pains you.
"It won't be forever." You glance at Idia. "Will it?"
"Course not." He answers. "But it will if you take your sweet time."
"I'll do it."
Idia flashes you a wide grin. That's all he needed to hear.
Checkmate.
He snaps his fingers and guards approach you. They apprehend the cat stuck to you. Grim claws at them. He barely leaves a mark on their gear. Instinctively, he takes in a breath to use his signature fire magic on them. But nothing but air comes out. All he can do is pathetically call out your name with the promise of rescuing you.
You shut your eyes and force yourself to stay put. It takes everything in you not to turn around and chase after his voice as it disappears down the hall.
Once silence overtakes you, your eyes open. You meet with Idia, who is now standing before you. His looming height isn't something you're used to. He's always been hunched over, trying to hide from the world. Braving against it isn't what he does. Perhaps it's because he isn't. This is his home after all.
"I kinda wish you hadn't agreed," he mutters. "We finally get to have a cute cat here and now he's gone."
"Then why offer me the exchange?" You prod. "You need to keep an eye on him for testing, don't you?"
"We've found everything we could on him. Any more tests would just produce the same results. He's not going to level up from this." A pause as he meets your gaze for a brief moment. "But we don't know a thing about you. You're an abnormality here and not in the 'isekai protagonist' kinda way. Guess it does count although instead of getting an upgrade you were nerfed."
"What do you mean?"
The question escapes you, but a part of you already knows what he's getting at. It's obvious with the way you pull a hand to your chest and the sharp breath you take. Something swirls in the pit of your stomach, something you know shouldn't.
"A magicless human is already a major downgrade, but one able to accumulate blot is even worse. It's like whoever sent you here put you on nightmare difficulty and capped you at level one."
Hearing it aloud sounds worse than you imagined and confirms your fears. It makes you recall the moment you realized your condition.
A fight amongst the first years broke out. Magic was cast for far too long. Someone like yourself was forced to keep to the sidelines. And that's when you began to feel...disgusting, for a lack of better words.
While others were preoccupied, something began to stab at your chest. Your body felt heavy, and there was a thick feeling in your throat. Coughing and gagging, you had to escape the scene. While you feared seeing red in your hand, instead you saw black.
"I'm guessing you're already aware of it, aren't you?" Idia asks yet you don't dare confirm it. "Maybe it's due to surviving multiple Overblots, but that doesn't make sense. You shouldn't be affected by the excess magic being produced. It could be your body adjusting to this world, but even those without magic don't have a problem here. Another thought would be your connection with Grim."
The last hypothesis makes your heart stop. You didn't want to be the reason for his imprisonment here, not again. Just when he was granted freedom you would be the one to tie him back down.
"For now, we can study you and see when and how this happens. You may have been isekai'd but you don't really seem to be the protagonist of this world."
You remain silent. And when you finally lift your gaze, you see a different person. This isn't the scared gamer who you would spend your days with. The one who you could make obscure references with and he'd get it. Your dear friend who you could escape reality with.
All you can see is the acting director of STYX, Idia Shroud.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I think A Thrill Divine, Down My Spine, specifically since it's a no-Voldemort AU friends-to-lovers situation.

Alright i can't decide so y'all are fixin to do it for me
I have several things i wanna work on but i cant pick one to do so ive been doin none of em
Options are
Redoing the Httyd Timeline and Ages post i made a while ago. Its all mostly accurate and the things not explicitly stated in canon i still stand by, but i found a couple other things to add in, and overall its a lil messy cause its from when first started making longer posts, so it could just do with an overhaul to clear it up a bit
Im trying to go through and make a Full AU list, with Name and a summary of what its about, so i can actually talk about em here, as well as sorting all other AUs out properly. These were all talked mostly via the Discord Server, so its literally sorting through whats gotta be hundreds of thousands of messages from over the course of >1 year. Which its great because ive deeply enjoyed talking to everyone ( Shout out to the Discord Buddies, Love yall, you're the Best🫶🫶) but my god, i should have kept on top of it lol.
This one i don't know if anyone else even really is interested in, but y'all are getting it eventually regardless, because ya know you can't stop me from making posts here, no matter how much yall may want to sometimes (Toothfull my beloved <3). Anyway the gist of this one is, idk if its just me, but a lotta times when i hear ages in a book, i understand it, but it doesn't really connect. So i like to go and find other characters and people that are the same age, especially in like movie or shows, where i can look at people that are the same age and go "Holy Shit, they're just babies" or such as the like as that if they're older (Mostly in Alvins case, that man is not as old as a lot of yall probably think he is, or maybe you don't, who am i to say what you do or do not think)
Number 4 is essentially the same thing as number 3 but height related instead. I just like making visual comparisons for a lot of these things, cause it helps put things into perspective, as well as its nice for like drawing and stuff.
This ones just Goofy. I have several sillier ships that ive had over the years, some that just fall into crack ship territory. Some of them i do actually think would be cute/sweet, others are just for the sake of going "Could you fuckin imagine". So im making a poll, much like this one, with a brief explanation, and then yall get to vote on em. I dont know if itll be for the Worst, The best, Which One is y'all's favorite, i dunno, but its gonna be something.
And then the last one i can think of is, i really don't know how to explain it, but it's talking about how, in my opinion, the Vikings view of hiccup is being accurately portrayed? Like, that's a really bad summary, but i can't think of how to explain it better so, this is kind of a vague, mystery option

okay i was very busy (read: distracted) today so i'm posting this late but LET'S GOOOO
let's start out with some psychic damage targeting me personally 👍 my heart hurts so much already
thinking about how both young vash and nai relate to food... they have opposite needs, but it must be an isolating experience for both of them. nai is different from vash and rem, vash is different from nai and other plants... they're both in between humans and plants without really belonging to either.
nai specifically, though... he doesn't seem happy that rem made him food, but it might be equally isolating if he was the only one who didn't get served food... so it's awkward either way. rem did the best she could.
what if i died right now
the geranium on the table... is it... i wonder... if rem put it there for tesla...

i don't know what it is but something about the footprints is getting to me, man. the way that nai's go on ahead of vash...

brad is the one who noticed vash... even though he acted pretty hostile to him for a while after... he's the one who saved him... i wonder if that's some of the reason for his hostility? like if vash did turn out to be dangerous brad would have been the one responsible... idk

here!! the EoM broadcast right at the start of episode 5!! what does it mean...
why would scientists call themselves Sinners, as like a formal(?) group name(??) is it because they know they're playing god by studying plants? i wonder about the radio program, too. here it could simply be referring to humanity as a whole, but then why the capital S? conrad is the one who ties this all together... the "team leader," huh...

much to think about. lying about nai being dead yes but. not the only thing he's keeping from them. "just one" more independent?
brad is so mean sometimes, lol... tbh i think they really nailed his personality. his role in the story and his relationship with vash are both very different than in the manga but he's still recognizably brad, and i think that's cool. it shows orange really understands the core of his character.
it's probably natural that this is the first question she asks, but it's also kind of mean... not on purpose ofc, but it probably hurts a lot for him to be asked that, especially now...
also vash isn't eating again. his unhealthy relationship with food... not eating as a form of self-harm... when we got reminded just at the beginning of this episode that it's something he needs to do. i remember reading a meta post a while back about his relationship with food but idk if i have it in me to try and find it right now...
once again glad i can watch this in hd so i can notice that vash covers his ears when luida says this hahahahahaha (<- in pain)
we see the one on the left the most so we need to look at the other family photos for a second. they're so cute what the heck... rem's big smile in the bottom right one... and i see both vash and nai are right-handed... *jots that down*
wasn't there a theory post about vash's number tally on the walls. i don't remember what it said.
she asked "who did this" so she knew it wasn't something like a computer error. Did She Know.

this is such a blink-and-you-miss-it, but brad shielding vash from this guy is really sweet. because as we've seen the other residents of the ship haven't exactly been nice to vash. brad's been mean too but he's just... a tsundere, really.
sorry this post lacks substance, there is probably a lot more to say but my brain just isn't working at full capacity and i need to go to bed
mwah mwah mwah mwah mwah. up until now the only clear, non-obstructed shots of nai's face were from when he was a little kid. he's still young here, and the shot itself is pretty dark, but here he is... the boy...

"Darby," Jack says, while typing out a quick reply of don't fuck up your back again, we're gonna have to buy stock in IcyHot. "He thinks he's gonna get jumped again. I should probably go back to the tunnels, make sure nothing happens."
"Uh huh," Hook replies, absently. He's scrolling through Instagram. "When's the last time you did that for me?"
"You don't need it," Jack points out.
Hook looks up, unimpressed, and rolls his eyes. "LFI literally fucking knocked me out last week. You didn't even notice."
"Okay, but Lucha is probably gonna go after Darby," Jack says. "I have to be there for that, y'know? And also I noticed!"
"You noticed when I texted you about it."
"No, I knew it before then."
Hook sighs. "I had to text you, literally, hey LFI just fucking punched me in the head, do you have any ibuprofen and you ignored me for an hour."
"That wasn't my fault, Christian was taunting Darby backstage. You know how obnoxious he is. I was busy."
"Nothing even happened. Christian didn't want to damage his Gucci turtleneck."
Jack shakes his head. "But something could have. Jeez, Hook."
The expression Hook levels him with is very, very unimpressed now. Jack stares back at him, a battle of wills, until finally he says, "Don't look at me like that."
"Jack."
"Whatever you're going to say, it's not a thing."
"I invited you to New York last week and you said, and I quote, 'haha I'm busy all week'."
"I was busy all week, I was in Atlan—"
"I tried to get you to come out to dinner with me and a remarkably good-looking group of single women, and you said, 'No, Hook, I don't feel like Thai food'."
"Okay, well I didn't."
"We were going for Mexican."
Jack groans. "I had other plans!"
"I know you did," Hook says, waving his phone. "I know, because you always have other plans. I try to get you to do a Starbucks run, and you'd rather have shitty gas station coffee en route to the local skate park. I asked you if you wanted to be super impulsive and go to London for a few days, and you told me you had to check with someone else first, and then, by the way, you never got back to me. I asked if you were going to Caleb the med staffer's wedding, and you told you that you already have a plus one, which wasn't even what I fucking asked."
"Hook, okay, so I've been maybe a little bit distant, but I'm not—"
"Jack," Hook says, with the sort of infinite patience that Jack knows he'll pay for later, "when is the last time you went on a date?"
Jack stares at him. Stares, and stares, and stares, and then says, "No."
"Yes," Hook replies, eyebrows hiked.
"That's not..."
Hook spreads his hands wide, his left hand still holding his phone.
"No, Hook, I'm not..." Jack trails off. Stops. His stomach drops low as his veins turn to ice. "Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm... oh my god, I think I'm in love with Darby."
"No shit," Hook snorts. "Congrats on being the last one to find out."
"Holy shit." Jack can't breathe. "Do you... do you think everyone knows?"
"Yes," Hook says.
Jack's vision blurs a little at the sides. "Do you think Darby knows?"
"Yes," Hook repeats.
"OH MY GOD," Jack says, quite reasonably and measured. "WHAT DO I DO."
"He's just waiting for you to make a move, dude," Hook says, and goes back to scrolling on his phone as though Jack's life has not just fundamentally imploded. "So... you should probably do that. Like, maybe immediately. Mostly so you can stop lying to yourself and being so annoying about it."
"WHAT," Jack replies, a picture of serenity.
"Just, like, I dunno, find a closet or something? Or the rafters? Somewhere where I don't have to see you shove your tongue down his throat. As a courtesy. To my delicate eyeballs."
He then ignores Jack's ten consecutive panic attacks, which, honestly, is really just the worst.

Luffy is from Dawn island in East Blue. (...you know, like where the sun rises.)
At the very beginning, Luffy told the fish store owner he had become even happier after eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi. (Although it might be because he now has a rubber body.)
His first ship's name is "Going Merry", which alluded to Joyboy.
His current ship's name is "Thousand Sunny", which alluded to the Sun God Nika.
The flower representing Luffy is the Sun Flower (revealed in SBS).

In Loguetown, Sanji asked Zoro if he believed in God, when lightning freed Luffy from execution lunette. (Funny commentary looking back.)
The Loguetown incident is also the reason Bartolomeo started idolizing Straw hats and the beginning of Luffy-senpai cult. (Should it be Luffy-senpai religion, since Luffy is kind of a God now?)
Nami and his crews can hit Luffy without haki. That is either because Luffy unconsciously allow them to or the Nika fruit just like gags. lol

Does Shank know? Shank was in East Blue for a year after stealing the fruit, what was he doing there? Was he trying to find Ace in Dawn? (since in One Piece: Stampede, Roger said next person to find One Piece would be his son.) Why did he not kept the fruit lock up? Did Nika fruit choose Luffy?

So I usually don't share my opinions due to my worry that people's lack of media literacy will misconstrue my words, but with some of the behavior I'm seeing I felt tempted. This is not to invalidate anyone, and what I'm about to say is entirely just my thought process. If you disagree that's fine, I'm not posting this to start an argument.
Anyway, was I super mega-bummed about Buddie karaoke being cut? Of course! Is it kinda messed up that the karaoke was a big part of the promo and now we won't get to see it? Definitely, yeah I was really upset. But after thinking about it for a little bit? It's not that big of a deal and I get it. I mean I am advocating for them to, like, release some extra little bits of the karaoke moment after the episode is released or at least tell us what the song was cuz Oliver and Ryan seemed to have a good time doing it and Oliver was so nervous about singing lol. But they made it clear that this season was a very "build as we go" situation and I believe they genuinely thought they were gonna be able to include more but that it just ended up not working out that way. I don't think they meant to shipbait us or anything either, I think they focused on Buddie in the promo cuz the main event was the madney wedding and chim being missing so they didn't wanna reveal anything about that particular plot, so they focused on the bachelor party instead. I know being teased about something and hyping it up repeatedly just to have it cut completely the day before is terrible, but with the workflow they're doing right now I feel like we shouldn't have been as surprised that they ended up, like, miscalculating a bit and having to cut more than they anticipated. And I'm sure they also prioritized the Madney content more than the bachelor party (which is good cuz this episode is about them) so those clips had to go. I feel like it was just an unfortunate series of events and not intentional on anyone's part. I've decided to give them some grace because making a TV show is hard, let alone doing it all so close to the release of each episode. I AM begging for the name of the song they sang at least!! Oliver was terrified to sing so he deserves that much lol. (BTW people saying "he got DRUNK for that scene how could you!" If you're joking then that's whatever but if you mean it seriously, I would like to say that he seemed more tipsy than anything, Oliver didn't say he had to be completely wasted to do it. He said they drank a little to loosen inhibitions but I don't think they'd get DRUNK. Lol Oliver has a hard time keeping an American accent sober, you think he'd be able to do any better genuinely tipsy?)
So TLDR: I don't think ABC meant to make us feel tricked, I just think their "lay the tracks while the trains still moving" method messed up a little. I also don't think they were intentionally shipbaiting us because with Madney being the focus of the next episode, they wouldn't wanna spoil or tease anything regarding their storyline, so they mainly focused on the more lighthearted Buddie bachelor party shenanigans, and they just overestimated how much they'd be able to fit in, and Madney should be the main focus anyway as this is not The Buddie Episode. If they continue to do stuff like this (tease and hype up scenes in promo that end up being cut, whether its ship baiting or not) then I will have more of a bone to pick
Also also, not to make it all about Buddie but as an endgame Buddie truther, I would really like to make a good impression to encourage them to make the moves to make Buddie canon. Like vent on your social media as much as you'd like but don't comment on official ABC posts saying they're like traitors or smth WE GOTTA BE PROFESSIONALS GUYS, this show isnt just about Buddie!! We need to find a balance between expressing our love for Buddie so they see our passion for it but not so much to the point it becomes insane, you know? And I say that with THE utmost love.

machia and yoichi, you say 👀 could you tell us more about this ship, please? i smell a lot of fun here - they both were close to afo, had some emotional attachment to him, experienced extreme violation of their body autonomy because of it, however they had very... well. rough start. but any romantic relationships between them would be based on something more than constant manipulations, lying and lust, i bet
My thoughts are more half-shaped vibes than coherent sentences but I'll do my best. I see two main sets of options for this ship
1- where they do indeed have a very rough start lol. Machia is one of the few trusted with the Vault's location and purpose and brings food when AfO is too busy elsewhere, and sometimes they talk- neither of them think very highly of the other, but I think actual conversation could break out after Yoichi asks where his brother is when it's been longer than usual since he visited, and Machia picks at the concern in his voice, to Yoichi's protests. Yoichi would also ask his name and not get it, but two days later realize Machia never refers to him by name either. "I'm Yoichi, by the way." And Machia never heard his name out of AfO's lips before (never heard AfO's name either, though, surely he doesn't need it, to serve his lord...) but something's gotta shift then, even if it isn't much. Perhaps it is something different, to hold down someone for force feeding when you know their name. (Something different when he shot an angry look at you first, for telling AfO about the hunger strike, even though you aren't the one who got him locked down here and he was skinny enough before-). Also I don't think Yoichi is actively trying to seduce his guard to escape (which is also something fun but anyway less so here) BUT he does have this urge in him. This "I can fix him" urge, or maybe this "I can save him" urge is a better way to put it. Also, Machia had to have seen a lot of quirk exchanges, thefts, and rewards in his time guarding AfO. He's also not that dumb. I don't think it'd be too much of a stretch for him to begin to pick up on the different reaction to someone without a power getting one, someone with a power getting another one that merges, and someone with a power getting another one that overwhelms them. So after Yoichi has a power forced onto him, I think Machia might be one of the ones who realizes what happened first- even if he's in denial, thinks it could be an unusual reaction because Yoichi's body was weaker than expected, surely AfO would know if he has a quirk and they merged together- but after reporting the reaction to AfO, who suddenly can't take it back out of Yoichi, well... clearly AfO isn't perfect. I don't know if it would go fully romantic before Yoichi's rescue from the vault but I think it could be heading that direction. And, Machia would feel guilty enough for Yoichi being taken from the vault even though he was guarding AfO at the time as ordered, more so if Yoichi dies soon after. Guilty and grieving enough to submit to AfO giving him more powers, even as it hurts while they're still merging, he'll survive it, get stronger, never notice how much of his mind AfO clawed back under his control, how little he thinks of Yoichi years later.
2- the second option is that they actually had a rough end. This is one where Machia was Yoichi's friend first, and AfO suffered a bad case of "can't let him have his own toys". Perhaps Yoichi started out as a villain, or closer to it, and recruited Machia in. Perhaps they were friends when younger. Either way, AfO slowly gets in between them, charismatic and manipulative. Maybe seems a more capable villain than Yoichi, who gives Machia powers while Yoichi keeps losing the forest for the trees, trying to ensure each lower member of the group is in the right spot, helped in return, something Machia had appreciated when it benefited him early on, found good, but now finds irritating, as AfO clearly does. Or perhaps Yoichi was always too sweet, and AfO poked and prodded about how he needed more protection, about how only he had the power to do more, speaking of things Yoichi couldn't understand but they, the metas, could. And then it's easy to join, and easy to be betrayed when Yoichi tries to leave. After all, if he'd turn on his own beloved family, who was there before you were, of course he'd turn on you too eventually, and maybe you were more of a project to him than a partner- memories easily rewritten, when pretty green eyes are glaring at your fiercely as if you're the traitor, when you never left, carrying him down to the vault (gently, as ordered, even though you know Yoichi could handle more than his brother's protective instincts want to admit.) And then he doesn't even say anything to you again, never- not in the vault, not after, not when he's dead.

[ Eli Moskowitz ] Unlikely Soulmates i
Very into cobra kai rn, so I thought of this idea lol
You and your friend sat on the bed in your dorm. Eli Moskowitz; that was the name you’d woken up to, tattooed on your wrist. For a second you’d freaked out, had you gotten somebody’s name tattooed on your wrist last night? Then your best friend reminded you that it might just be the name of your soulmate. It was very likely that Eli Moskowitz was her soulmate and it was his 18th birthday yesterday.
“So, do you know him?” Sasha asked, breaking the silence. The two of you had been sitting on your bed, contemplating what to do next for the past 30 minutes. “No, of course I don’t,” You replied rolling your eyes, “I would’ve called him by now if I did,” you said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
She just shrugged, “It was worth a try,” pulling out her phone, she started rapidly typing. You leaned in closer, “What’re you doing?” you asked, curiously looking at the screen. “He probably has a social media, I’m checking if I can find it,” she replied off-handedly, completely focused on her phone.
“So, your soulmate's older than you, sexy,” Brent cooed, looking at her suggestively, you just rolled your eyes in reply, “He’s older by a few months, chill.” “Still sexy.”
The bell rang loudly, making all three of you look up, “Time for first period, looks like the search for your soulmate will have to wait,” He said, standing up. You both quickly followed after him, grabbing your respective bags as well.
[Y/N] [Y/L/N], Eli couldn’t get his mind off of you. He had no idea who you were, and somehow you’d managed to occupy his mind for the past 4 hours. He watched the tattoo on his wrist, willing it to change, give him some hint of who you were, anything would be great at this point.
Eli had spent the entire morning asking around about you, but it was no use, clearly you didn’t go to West Valley High. Miguel watched his friend the entire morning. “Give up, dude, she doesn’t go here, we gotta find out about her another way.” Eli tried to argue that they just needed to try harder, but he was interrupted by Johnny.
“Any problem, boys?” It was clear from his tone that he didn’t really care about what the problem was, he just wanted them to listen and participate in the lesson. “No, sensei,” they both replied in unison, straightening their backs. Johnny nodded, “Alright pair up,” he shouted, “Hawk, miss Robinson, you're both in charge,” Eli cracked his knuckles, this was going to be a fun lesson.
You and Sasha were walking down the street near the strip mall. It wasn’t a place you visited often, firstly because it was pretty far from the school and secondly because it was generally known as a bad neighbourhood. But when Brent offhandedly mentioned a new lounge that had opened up, your curiosity got the best of you and you decided to check it out.
You dragged an unwilling Sasha behind you, “Oh, come on, it’ll be fun,” you whined, “Sweaty teenagers, bad music, the smell of blunts and alcohol?” Sasha said, “Sounds so fun,” she added sarcastically. You and Sahsha were always the opposites attract kinda duo, if you wanted to go out to a party at the boys dorms, then she wanted to stay in and finish a book. At the start of 2nd year you’d gotten used to it, and both of you had learned to balance it. You still had your ups and downs though, and this was one of ‘em.
You both sat down at the bar, you quickly ordered two virgin mojitos as Sasha tells you about what happened in the latest chapter of her book, “And then he carries her all the way to the ship, even though he has a limp, and tells her that he would always come for her and–” your best friend is interrupted by a loud crash.
The sound came from the table next to them, there were two groups standing in front of each other. A boy with a red mohawk had punched a guy in a football jersey, which had caused him to fall down. Another boy shouted at him, asking what his problem was.
Clearly, mohawk guy had walked up to them and started causing a ruckus. He replied, but it was too loud for her to hear him. A waitress walked up to them, most likely to ask them to quiet down. But it was too late, a fight had already broken out.
Somewhere in the process the waitress had gotten shoved to the ground. You quickly got up to help her. You pulled her up, and she thanked you, as you ask her if she’s okay, you nearly get hit by the boy with the mohawk. “What the hell, do you have nothing better to do?!” You shouted. If there was a kind of person you hated it was the kind that started fights out of nowhere causing innocent people to get hurt.
“No one asked you to stand in the middle of a fight, princess,” He spat, glaring at her. “Who do you think you’re calling a princess,” you ask, matching his glare. He smirked, “I don’t see anyone else here dressed like they’re ready to be crowned queen,” You rolled your eyes, what an asshole, before you could reply Brent pulled you away. Where the hell did he come from? “Come on, just leave it be,” he said, looking between you and the red-head, “Yeah, princess, listen to you little knight in shining armour,” Oh you wanted to punch that smirk off of his face so badly.
“What the hell were you thinking?” Brent exclaimed once you were outside. “Going to the lounge without me is one thing, but starting a problem with Hawk?” He said angrily. “Who’s Hawk?” You ask confused, what kind of a name was that? “Hawk is the guy you were having that shouting match with, he’s also the ringleader of one of the biggest gangs in the valley.”
“There are gangs in the valley?” Sasha asked, speaking up, “Ever since those karate dojos opened up they’ve been fighting each other,” He explained, “They’re constantly at each other throats, and you,” He said turning to you, “You just placed yourself in the middle of one of those fights.” Well shit.
You were laying in bed, the clock showed that it was 2 AM, but you hadn’t managed to sleep a wink.
“Hey, [Y/N], I think I know who your soulmate is,” Sasha speaks up out of nowhere. You come out from under your blankets, “What, who is it?” You ask, suddenly all wishes of sleep are gone. “He’s European.” Your friend replies, matter-of-factly, “What?” “I mean think about it,” Sasha said, sitting up, “His last name is Moskowitz, that’s obviously a slavic last name,” her voice went up an octave, showing she was very proud of her theory, “So he’s probably European.”
You flopped back onto your bed, your day just kept getting worse and worse. “Great… Just great.” ''What’s wrong?” Sasha asked, walking over to your side of the room, “Nothing, I’m just having the worst day,” You replied massaging your temples. “How so?” She asks, getting under the covers next to you.
“Well, firstly, the new choreography teacher hates me, then I make enemies with the guy who’s apparently one of the biggest gang leaders in The Valley, and now I find out my soulmate lives on the other side of the world.”
Sasha sighed, pulling you into a hug, “Well, maybe tomorrow, will be a better day,” You sighed as well, “Let’s hope so…”
Johnny had been watching Eli all morning, “What’s wrong, Hawk, you got a problem,” He finally asks, arms crossed, one eyebrow raised. Immediately he straightens up, “No, sensei.” Miguel laughs, causing the boy to glare at him, “He’s worried about his soulmate, sensei,” Johnny grinned, “That’s right, you got your soulmate tattoo yesterday, how’s the search going?” “Horrible, we’ve asked around everywhere, no one knows a [Y/N] [Y/L/N].”
Aisha laughed, “You mean, [Y/N] [Y/L/N], the pianist?” All three turned towards her, “The what now?” Miguel asks, “[Y/N] is a pianist, she’s pretty famous regionally,” she shrugs, pulling out her phone to show them your instagram. All three lean in to get a better look at you picture.
“That’s her?!”

Yeah, not looking positive re: tedbecca here, so I’ll wait till 3.08 to either resurrect my shipper-self or bury it.
This episode was more about the team - with added Nate & Keeley’s storylines - so I get there wasn’t really any room for tedbecca stuff. They didn’t even focus that much on Ted. But now the team is kinda working like a well-oiled machine again... I think they’ll be able to return to the main ships & their individual journeys to find their way [back] to each other.

What a surprise that today’s the new episode dropped today! I loved it so much that I listen to it twice. The first during work because I couldn’t wait until class time where I need to listen to something while doing my art project in class, the second time... during class while doing my art project.
The ‘mysterious planet’ earth is the Indus valley of the intergalactic world.
Cool Clementine to offer that to the crew but the episode perfectly articulate my thoughts on why trying to fix past mistakes, even if you had the power to do so, is bad idea. Even if She could wave her hand and give them what they wish for, The characters went through some character developments that fundamentally changed them, why would you exchange all that to go back to their statue quo? The crew develop a bond that's deeper than friends, they are now a family (aww~).
Leif's got it all figured out, I gotta give him props for that. I bet even if his past was rewritten and everything was perfect, he'd still be unhappy. Who would wanna miss out on a kickass journey sailing among the stars as a space pirate, finding tech lightyears ahead of Earth's, and meeting the amazing Bert Bert? And of course, meeting some of the coolest people in a time traveling, dimension hopping Diner. They may be from earth but the likelihood of crossing each other’s paths, becoming friends with something in common is not even slim, it’s none.
I wanna hug Gloria. Hopefully I’ll never know the pain to lose parents that way, though when the time comes when I have to say good bye to them, I see how soul crushing grieving look like and that isn’t a gradual linear process. I dread that day.
Effie is a really wise lady. Had someone like her been in my life, I’m 100% sure I wouldn’t turn out to be an atheist. Or at least be a deist. Amusing that in her lil sermon, she was hoping they stayed and let out a sigh of relief when they told her that they weren’t going to take the deal.
Although Ava is all about the science and logic when it comes to persuading Caspar to stay, he's totally justified in feeling annoyed that she's not taking him as a person into account. Deep down, she cares about him a lot and likes his company even though they bicker a lot, even if she can’t or doesn’t realize it yet. It's a significant change in her attitude compared to the last episode of season 2 when she did not understand what’s Caspar's purpose being in the diner but now running around the landscape looking for him, wants him to stay. It’s not like the whole science discoveries and whatnots is gonna end if he hop off the ship.
Loved that Leif, Caspar, Ava and Effie were excited to commit crimes. Lol, Effie’s mischievous behavior. “Wellll, while the cat’s awaaaaay.....”
BTS wolves are back! J-Hope-wolf is adorable for trying to communicate to Caspar that he wanted rabbit stew. Good thing that Gloria is there to feed the baby.
I love Caspar naming weird things random words. I vote for shopzies 1+
Agreed what Gloria said about respecting ancient lost civilization places and not judging harshly. That’s my thoughts on Mesoamerican's culture. Gruesome yeah, but to them, They thought of their action as noble if you consider the context.

I hope i wrote this articulate enough and make sense. Especially between Caspar and Ava paragraph.
Pretty sure I’ll listen to it again a few times until the next episode.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
None of my fics have angsty endings! I’ll do all the angst in the story itself, I’ll make them cry and be angry and break up and whatever but there’s gotta be a happy ending.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
When all the endings are happy, it’s kind of hard to compare, but probably a new life grows. It was the last part of ITBASM so its ending had to some up years of me writing and years of their fictional lives and put them all in a fantastic place.
Do you write crossovers?
I wrote a couple Midsomer Murders x 6 Underground fics.
Have you received hate on a fic?
I’ve gotten some rude anons. I didn’t realize until I was almost done posting ITBASM (the original story) that I didn’t have asks open on here. I imagine I would’ve gotten a lot of hate about one chapter if I had. Back when I was first posting fanfic (like, almost twenty years ago) I found out that people in some private group were making fun of a fic that I’d posted. that was great.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I certainly do. For the longest time, just m/m, and that’s all I’ve ever posted. But for my original novel I’m working on now, it’s my first m/f and it is an experience lol I find it more awkward to write at times but it’s fun too. I’ve had to get used to writing wet a lot. And clit. And cunt. A whole new world!
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of!
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Also not that I know of.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No. I find it hard to comprehend writing as a team event.
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I genuinely don’t think I could ever pick. There are so many I’ve read over the years. Some I will never touch again, some I will probably still be reading on my death bed lol. Favourite ever??? No way.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I wrote a 6 Underground fic with Four and Seven that had a couple parts. I intended it to have another, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.
Same with the Midsomer Murders x 6 Underground fic (I guess I gave up on Four lol), I still have the exact scene that I want to write in my mind, I picture it, but I doubt it will ever go anywhere. Unless I just write that one scene.
What are your writing strengths?
I love writing dialogue so I hope it’s a strength. Also, way too much research and detail and background stuff that will never make it onto the page, it’s just for me.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Overwriting, and flat description, A couple years ago I took a writing course and I submitted the first chapter of a fic I had written (one name changed lol), and they really hated it and it was really demoralizing. They said it read more like a screenplay instead of a book because there was no emotion, no thought, it was just “he did this and this and this.” I’ve tried improving since then, I hope I have.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I have done it! to varying levels of success. I wish I knew Egyptian Arabic so I could have included it more in ITBASM. I only ever include small bits in other languages, and I don’t bother to translate. I assume based on context people can figure it out or check for themselves.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Friends, in the fifth grade. it was handwritten in a notebook, which is possibly still somewhere in my parents’ house, but not with me.
What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
I would still like to finish one of my Gran Turismo fics but I don’t know if that will happen.
What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
ITBASM as a whole. I know that by the end I was pretty much doing it for me and a handful of other people and I don’t know if it’s as good as it could’ve been but I felt really proud of it and what I did manage to accomplish. It felt more mine than other fics I’ve written.

That might be a tie between Rewrite the Stars and Dig Two Graves, my take on Forsaken. That one ends on a real low note because it's designed to feed right into the next story
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I'm swiftly realizing how few of my fics have endings that can truly be described as happy. I think I'd have to pic your feet find purchase in shifting sands
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really, thankfully. I did get a rather mean-spirited comment on my oldest story (not any of my current fandoms) but it didn't bother me much because I'd written the story while I was in high school and didn't get the comment until years later

Nope, you won't find sex in any of my stories lmao. I'm both ace and aro and I find writing even just plain romance difficult

I May have written stuff in the past for a fandom that shall not be named. Currently, though. the only real crossover is an MCYT/Destiny crossover that @baronetcoins and I worked on

There's a DSMP Rise of the Guardians AU sitting in my google drive that I'd love to finish but idk if it's going to happen

Oh it's gotta be dialogue. To the point where I sometimes feel like I write too much of it lol. I can have characters just talking to each other for multiple pages
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Description, I'd say. Mostly because I don't think I take enough time to sit in the scenery of the piece and want to get straight to the action
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
It all comes down to doing your research. But also don't take it the wrong way if people fluent in the language correct you on things

Why must you dredge up the past. Superwholock. The answer is Superwholock. Happy now?

Requiem for the Departed, hands down. It gave me the opportunity to write a complex plot featuring multiple characters/POVs while also exploring aspects of the Destiny universe that don't necessarily show up much in the game
