my original plan for this post was to collect EVERY image of knives i liked from volume 7, but there are Too Many. so this post is the equivalent of me opening my wallet and a bunch of pictures of my son folding out of it.
he's such an adorable kid!! i sure hope nothing horrifically traumatic happened to him and his little brother in between any of these scenes :)

last semester i wasn’t doing well in a very important class i needed to pass in order to graduate so i was working my ass off writing essays and shit and every time i started slacking i would bring up this image and i’d say “ah fuck you’re right vash i really need to keep working” and then i’d write for another two hours and i actually managed to pass and graduate and i honestly don’t know if i would’ve been able to without this picture. thank you vash

look okay i get the whole #justiceformilly thing i like her a lot can't say she's my fave but i like her
HOWEVER she just wouldn't fit into stampede like episode 3 and knives just...merced a whole town including a kid that meryl was like...personally responsible for losing hold of and we already know wolfwood's deal and i won't be surprised for roberto to get killed soon tbh (i haven't personally seen the latest ep yet so that's on me if i'm getting things wrong!!) that's gonna kickstart meryl's journey and also make them a nice trio and like milly is so....sweet and innocent and goofy sometimes (a lot of times) and that fit with trigun og in a way that doesn't with stampede, so yeah, i'd love like...a cameo or for her to show up at the end, but honestly i wish the people who come into every episode like 'WHERE'S MILLY BLUH BLUH' would just shut up and read the tone of the stupid western anime talking about how milly not being there is ruining the entire thing jfc it's like asking why ed isn't at the final showdown between spike and vicious see you space corgi...
also the peeps talking about how vash's bullets wouldn't be enough to hurt someone have???? you???? met????????????? him?????????????

something i wish i'd see more in trigun fanarts is people having vash speak their native/non-english languages completely unprompted, ive seen folks have him speak french, which he canonically knows, but i really do believe he's a polyglot. mostly because of that one time in the desert when he saw the samurai and wanted to greet him in japanese but struggled to remember how to even say hello.
my headcanon is that rem had them learn as many languages as possible but with the big fall and so many people dying, which i think is what led english to became No man's land main (or even only?) language, means that vash (and knives!) both got horribly out of practice and are various sort of rusty in every others languages.
what im saying if there's any pun or joke you've been dying to write but just doesn't work in english vash (and knives!!) are right there!
