Okay so you already know I loved the thing you wrote but your tags?????? Yes please give us more granddad Sirius and James Sirius content??????????? I'm so ready for it.
i genuinely wrote out an entire answer for this in my mind and apparently never put it in actual words :) brb while i put on the dunce cap and hang my head in shame
anywaaaaaaay if ur still into granddad siri and james sirius (aka jem/jemmy/jim when he’s older) content may i interest u in some stupid lil ramblings:
- sirius’ title is papa. harry mixed up grandpa sirius and padfoot one time to say ‘grandpa padfoot’ and jemmy latched hard onto the ‘pa pa’ part of that. so papa he is, and all his grandkids call him that.
- harry and ginny were super young and super unprepared for our lil jimbo. so he spent a lot of time around sirius, lots of sleepovers and babysitting and hasty drop offs. this gave him an appreciation for hanging out with old people (not that sirius doesn’t dangle him upside down when he hears that term because ‘who’re you calling old, huh? you think i could swing u around like a fish if i was old?) because they have the best stories and the most patience and they put up with all his questions and antics and always spoil him.
- james sirius is sirius’ favorite grandchild. he tries to hide it, never treats anyone noticeably different, loves them all more than the universe itself but jemmy. that boy completely stole his heart the moment he opened his eyes and james—his jamie’s—eyes looked up at him. the others, when they realise what it means that their papa tears up sometimes when jem does something, learn to not say anything and hug him a bit tighter that day.
- of course, sirius knows this isn’t an exact copy of his dead best friend. jem is more somber, not as arrogant, doesn’t think he’s god’s gift to humanity. his temper is more cutting, aimed to hurt. sirius knows what that’s like and that’s another reason why those get along so well. james sirius gets angry at his family and goes straight to his papa for refuge. sirius is always there with warm hugs and kisses and cake and hot chocolate.
- ok another headcanon i have!! purebloods get music training and sirius learnt how to play the piano (and if harry had grown up with him, he would’ve learnt an instrument too and that’s always a sore point). he convinces harry to let jem get similar coaching so every weekend, granddad & grandson sit down together to learn how to play the piano. jemmy’s kind of terrible at it, but he wouldn’t trade this time for anything. as he grows up, this turns into gossip sessions where they bitch about everyone together. this is where jim asks for relationship advice and ‘how do you know they’re the one, papa?’ and sirius telling him about his jamie, and the kind of friendship that was so strong that death couldn’t sever it. sirius tells him that his name doesn’t have to define him, that it’s okay (and encouraged) to step beyond the boundaries of what you were assigned at birth. (because he knows a little something about family names and being the oldest and crippling pressure and struggling with your identity- who you should be vs who you are)
- harry tells his godfather that his oldest’s tendency for dramatisation comes from these sessions and ‘did you really need to describe my dad as ‘burning brighter than the sun’, siri? now i can’t take that little demon into muggle london because somehow his not-so-accidental magic has him lighting up like a goddamn christmas tree all the time’
- james sirius (now jim, because he’s grown and wants to be taken seriously and jemmy is a kids name except when his papa calls him that bc he has special privileges) is the one most conscious of the weight his name holds, the legacy he comes from. it makes him all that more driven to carve his own niche in the wixen world. but, at the same time, sirius can see the ghosts of his loved ones in this kid. the same mother hen protectiveness that jamie had, the mischievously sparkling hazel eyes, the bone deep devotion to his loved ones. it hurts but also, he wouldn’t trade it for anything.
*coughs* sorry miss imp this became much longer than i anticipated and i don’t think i realised how much i love papa sirius and little jemmy but uh. yeah. the floodgates hath opened and it took everything in me to close them right back up.
(the thing i wrote- crackish au where sirius delivers harry and james sirius, two decades apart)

collected tros thoughts
I assume everyone who still wants to avoid spoilers has the appropriate tags filtered...
Several parts of the movie, especially toward the beginning, are very much a jumble in terms of tone and pace especially. You can definitely tell the movie went through a bunch of different versions/scripts/directors AND that they were trying to please a lot of different contingents in the audience: Force-sensitive Finn, R/eylo, Bendemption, Bendeath, big trio presence, ending with Rey Skywalker. Say what you will about TLJ, but I do think it felt like one person’s singular and coherent vision. I do think TROS smoothed out toward the climax, where you have the two main conflicts (Rey vs. Palpatine and the Resistance vs. the FO fleet) connect in both setting and theme.
The plot of most of the movie was essentially finding a bunch of different heretofore unknown significant objects, which is kind of a terrible plot for such a climactic movie, honestly. Especially when those significant objects are just maps to other places! Infinity War had plots about collecting macguffins too, but A) they were powerful objects that were intrinsically connected to the main plot and B) they were set up to be important well in advance. (I am not saying IW was actually good, to be clear.) Some of the macguffins in TROS COULD have been actually significant, especially that Sith knife that posed an opportunity for Rey to be tempted by the Dark Side, but that didn’t happen.
In a bunch of ways this movie can be compared to ROTJ (it has several direct callbacks), and it comes up short in almost all of them. ROTJ had a sense of urgency, direction, and high stakes that TROS just lacks. The only “death” is the fakeout about Chewbacca, which was unnecessary and ultimately meaningless. It was supposed to be a moment for Rey to contemplate her potential for the Dark Side, but it was handled all wrong for that. For one thing, once Chewbacca is found to be alive, Rey grins, angst forgotten, and that’s the end of that, I guess. Who cares if there were other innocents aboard that transport she destroyed? Not Rey and not TROS!
Speaking of Rey and Dark Rey, I don’t think Rey Palpatine is an intrinsically bad idea, but after the first two movies it didn’t make sense, and the way they did it was really frustrating. Rey had plenty of angst and Dark Side temptation from being abandoned by her parents--making her parents heroic and her struggle with the Dark Side basically genetic really sucked as a writing choice. I hate that mechanistic approach to people being good and evil, it’s so lazy and reductive. I was reminded of when, in The Raven Cycle books, the driving desire of the main character Blue to leave Henrietta and see the world is eventually attributed to................ her dad being a tree spirit, because trees reach for the sky. OK. Maybe instead characters could be kind of like people with relatable human psychology?
Relatedly, Finn’s discovery of other FO defectors was a mixed bag. On the one hand, it’s cool that Finn wasn’t the only one. On the other, it’s never really explained why some defected and others didn’t, except the “feeling” of the Force. I was struck by how weirdly Calvinistic this was. I think a lot of people misunderstand and thus misuse the term “Calvinistic” (mostly to describe stories in which characters are essentially good or evil, which is definitely not a Calvinistic approach to character at all, and also to refer to predestination, which is related to Calvinism but doesn’t really encompass it fully)--but the way the Force was portrayed for Finn and other defectors was weirdly real-deal Calvinistic, minus the actual Christian elements. In a Calvinistic worldview, everyone is equally, hopelessly tainted by sin, but God in his infinite wisdom has elected some for salvation and others for damnation not according to their own characters but to play out a cosmic drama in which he ultimately wins in order to further his glory. So some defectors being chosen to be saved (and unnamed and innumerable other brainwashed child soldiers, I guess, not to be so touched) by the Force in order for the Light Side to win is just bizarre and even disturbing. Force sensitivity doesn’t really explain that. Also, as a side note, it seemed like at some point someone was going to address the fact that they were fighting a brainwashed child soldier army and then they just... didn’t.
I know a big portion of the Finn fandom was upset with TLJ but TROS was far worse and sidelined him way more. Who cares about Force sensitivity? Couldn’t they have done something with his actual character? And Rose, poor Rose....
I know that a big part of R/eylo fandom is upset (along with ALL the other factions of the fandom, lol) but honestly this movie was THE R/eyloest. More Force bond visions, her running him through and then saving him, that charming scene where Ben’s running to her and Palpatine all Han-like, the moment where she transfers one of the lightsabers to Ben (clearly meant to be delightful and it was!), when Palpatine drew a new life force from their bond and it was ~as strong as life itself~ or whatever he actually said, the kiss obviously, Ben bringing her back to life.... I can’t believe I’m going to have R/eylo feelings in 2020 but here we are!
I went in pretty spoiled, but even if I hadn’t I was fully expecting Ben to die, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It’s not that I’m not bored and frustrated by Redemption Equals Death, I just didn’t expect anything different.
I will say I was generally not emotionally affected at all by TROS--not sure how much that is related to having been spoiled, to the quality of the movie itself (though I did cry at the live-action Power Rangers a few years ago--twice!), or to having cried my eyes out at Little Women yesterday. (I’ve become a horrible movie-crier the last couple of years. I even cried during that ad where the kids are using a tablet to present a tribute to their dead grandma. It’s so bad it’s humiliating to see movies with other people.)
I was glad we got a callback to Ben and Han’s scene in TFA and that it was tender and full of forgiveness. Also that we did get Leia reaching out to Ben before passing.
The final scene on Tattoine was pretty bizarre. The choice to take the Skywalker name was weird and distasteful, and Ben should have appeared as a Force Ghost for sure.

Marvel 20 Questions
I wasn't tagged, but I saw this on @musette22‘s Tumblr and decided I wanted to play. Thanks!
1. Favorite solo film? It’s so hard to choose. It would be easier to list my top five. :-) But, I have to go with Thor: Ragnarok, because it is funny and heartwarming and I love it. Plus I have been a sucker for Thor since his first movie. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a really close second, though.
2. Favorite team-up film? The Avengers. It was so cool seeing all the characters we’d watched in the solo movies come together for the first time. Marvel really did the solo movies to team-up movies formula right--didn’t rush it like DC did. The payoff in that first Avengers movie was great. Plus a good villain, high stakes, and a plot that I didn’t have problems with. A good mix of humor to action. Love it. Also, I’m really partial to the AUs where the Avengers all live on their own floors in the tower, and that is the movie that sets that up (even if I’ll forever be sad that they did nothing with it).
3. Favorite female character? There are a lot of BAMF chicks in the MCU, but my absolute favorite is Peggy Carter. She is strong and gorgeous and knows her worth, even a time that is worse that today about allowing women to have that value. I liked her in the first Cap movie, but I loved her even more in the Agent Carter TV series. While I like the Peggy/Steve backstory, I like Peggy better on her own. Darcy Lewis is a really close second favorite--only second because, while I liked her in the Thor movies, it was fic that really fleshed out her character, while Peggy got all that character development on screen. But we’ll see how things go with Wandavision. Maybe Darcy will get the more developed character in cannon that she deserves. (I guess the Netflix shows no longer count for the MCU, huh? Because Jessica Jones was pretty awesome, too.)
4. Favorite male character? Oh my gosh. I love both Thor Odinson and Bucky Barnes SO MUCH--it’s nearly impossible to choose. However, I have to use the rule that I used for favorite female character, and give Thor the number one spot because his character’s awesomeness is fleshed out on screen. While I still think that his first movie could’ve used a bit more middle (more time than just one night on Earth to grow and change into someone who would give his life for others), I’ve loved watching Thor’s character grow and change over the years. He tried so hard to be a Gryffindor, but he’s really a Hufflepuff. While he would’ve been an all right king due to training, he doesn’t have the heart for it, and I think he finally realized that. He is so much more than muscles and a weird accent--he’s loving, supportive, and really smart; he forgives; he’s just an awesome guy. Bucky has that whole tragic redemption arc, which is great, but they really cheated his character out of development on screen after CA:tFA and CA:tWS. Like with Darcy, a lot of his development comes from fic and head cannons. I’m really hopeful for the Falcon & Winter Soldier TV series. Maybe now Bucky will finally get the character development he deserves!
5. Best canon ship? I’m not really tied to many of the cannon ships in the MCU. I liked Tony/Pepper a lot; probably because they got a lot of screen time, and Pepper is another favorite BAMF MCU lady. Scott/Hope is also pretty good. I would’ve said Thor/Jane, except then they broke up. Maybe they will resurge to the top of the list when we get Thor 4.
6. Best non-canon ship? I love so many non-cannon ships for the MCU! I like Stucky, Stony, WinterShock, WinterHawk (but only with the more comic-esque Clint who is deaf and a disaster; not boring family man movie Clint), WinterIron (but only in no power AUs without the Bucky killed Tony’s parents angle), ShieldShock, TaserTricks a bit... Basically any ship with either Bucky or Darcy in it would have a chance, and even though I don’t love cannon Steve all that much, I like a lot of ships with him in fanfic, too. Weirdly, I never read fic about Thor or Peggy--maybe because they are so fleshed out in cannon, I don’t need more from them.
7. Favorite actor? Man, another rough one. I love Chris Hemsworth and Sebastian Stan so much. I think I have to go with Sebastian on this one, though. Chris is great, hot, and I adore him, but Sebastian did so much with a character that had relatively little screen time overall. I mean, Bucky was in five movies, but in a lot of them he was there more for the action than the actual character development (which makes me sad! he deserves more!). But the fact that he took a smaller, supporting character and made him one of my favorites in the whole universe says a lot for Sebastian’s acting. Like, a lot of actors can make you love a character when they are the main character in multiple movies, but how many can do it from the sidelines? (**crossing my fingers for lots of good Bucky in the F&WS show!**)
8. Favorite actress? Gotta go with Hayley Atwell here. The way she played Peggy was masterful. I also really love Kat Dennings, though. Second only to Hayley.
9. Favorite director? Taika Waititi, hands down. He should do all MCU movies from here on out. Prior to him, it was Joss Whedon for his great work on the first Avengers, but Joss let me down with A:AoU.
10. What was the first MCU movie you ever watched? Iron Man. Aside from Spiderman: Homecoming and The Incredible Hulk, I watched all the MCU movies in theater in the order they came out. We are dedicated Marvel fans that way. :-)
11. Which MCU movie have you watched the most? Hmmm... I’m honestly not sure. I’ve never specifically counted viewings. I know the top contenders would be Thor: Ragnarok, Ant Man, The Avengers, Thor, Captain America: the First Avenger, and Iron Man. I have definitely watched every MCU movie except the Spiderman and Hulk solo films more than once, though.
12. Favorite super-suit? I think I’d have to go with the Iron Man suit. I mean, it’s by far the most useful, and it has Jarvis (or Friday) inside. And it lets you fly! That said, if we take it as most attractive suit, then I’d be torn between Steve’s navy and white suit (sans cowl) from the beginning of CA:tWS and Thor’s suit when it bared his arms (the long-sleeved version was weird looking).
13. Favorite weapon? Mjolnir, by far. Even though it creates some weird questions/plot issues, I love the idea of a weapon that only someone with a worthy heart can use. I think my favorite moment in End Game was when they paid out on that bit from AoU and Steve busted out fighting with his shield and Mjolnir. Steve and Thor fighting together with the hammer and the axe was fabulous. I do also like Cap’s shield, even though it’s a weird choice. I’m really looking forward to Thor 4, if the rumors are true and we’re going to get to see Jane use the hammer. That will be excellent!
14. Favorite origin story? Oh, another hard one! I am a sucker for a good redemption story arc, so I think Bucky/Winter Soldier edges in for the win here. Overcoming 70 years of brainwashing and mind wipes for his best friend, struggling to get back to human again, and then trying to make up for some of the wrongs from the past (which I hope is where we’re going in the F&WS show) is excellent. Though, Thor’s journey from spoiled brat to someone who is willing to sacrifice himself for others to king to someone who realizes that he isn’t the best king and is willing to hand the crown to someone else for the good of the people that he loves is a really good one, too. I also like tiny anger-ball Steve taking a risk to become a hero with a good heart. Didn’t necessarily agree with all his choices later, but did like the origin. Solid third.
15. Favorite villain? Definitely Loki. His arc in the first Thor movie is great. And knowing that in the first Avengers movie he was affected by the mind stone adds a great layer. Plus watching him continue to mature and grow until he finally was willing to be there for his brother in Ragnarok. That was a great arc, and the character toes that line of gray morality but redemption that is so compelling to watch. His death was the worst one to me in IW/EG--I really thought he was pulling some other con, and I’ll forever be sad they dropped that thread. I hope that his show is good, and I’ll give it a chance, but I’m still bummed that we’re going back to post-Avengers Loki and losing all that character development from Thor 2 and 3. :-(
16. Favorite fight sequence? Honestly, the action and fighting are probably my least favorite parts of these movies. I know, that’s atypical, lol. Like, they are the less interesting bits I have to put up with to get the character growth I want from my superheroes. Often, the action sequences go on too long. Shorter action sequences would allow them to both keep up momentum and put in more character development, but no one in charge asks me. :-P That said, I like the action sequences best when they show character development, and the best one for that is the highway fight in CA:tWS where Cap and co. fight the Winter Soldier for the first time. No one in the whole movie had challenged Steve that far, but the Winter Soldier truly put him in danger for the first time, and his friends, too. The Winter Soldier was menacing, and then paired with the Bucky reveal at the end. Best action sequence. Though I do also love the Revengers vs. Hela in Ragnarok when Thor finally gets his full lightening powers down and crashes into the battle. He is so OP now, but in an awesome way.
17. Favorite line from any of the films? I love that bit in the first Avengers movie when Thor snags Loki, Tony flies out after him, and Nat tells Steve not go because they are basically gods. I love Steve’s line of, “There’s only one God, Ma’am, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t dress like that.” That one cracks me up even now that I’ve watched it so many times.
18. Favorite scene from any of the films? Pretty much any scene with Darcy in it is a favorite. Her stuff in the first Thor movie is gold. I also like Bucky and Steve’s goodbye scene at the beginning of CA:tFA.
19. If you could pick an Infinity Stone to keep, which would you choose? Huh... I don’t know that I’d want any of them. I guess, if pressed, I’d choose the Space stone because I think it would let me teleport. The Time stone/time travel seems interesting, but I’d be afraid I’d mess up the timelines.
20. Which Disney Plus MCU series are you most looking forward to? Falcon & Winter Soldier, hands down. Though, when I heard Darcy would be a character, that jumped Wandavision up to second place.
I think that @virtual-insomnia would enjoy this. :-)

My Reaction to “Gotham” S3E21/E22
OH SNAP THIS IS AN 85 MINUTE FINALE?!?!?
Also, from this point on (from the S3 finale on), ALL of my Gotham reaction posts will be marked with the spoiler tags because while S4 has been over for about a month and a half now, I know some people on Tumblr have not been able to watch it yet.
As for the other reactions from S3, they are still works in progress at the moment because I am super busy at this moment.
On with da show!
S3E21
OH SNAP!  Everyone’s goin’ nuts!
How the heck are they gonna disinfect the whole town?!?
What?
“I’m [Jim] fine, Harvey.”  NO YOU’RE NOT
*Jim hands Harvey his gun*  There we go.
“Where’s Bruce?”  In some shit.  In some mighty shit.
Wait, there is an antidote [to the virus]?!?
Of freaking course Strange tries to make a run for it.
Oh that shot of Ed watching Gotham burn through the window is awesome
God, Barbara’s wearing that hideous striped dress again.
Ed is just completely stone-faced when Barbara starts running her hand down his face
“So where is this virus?  I [Fish] know there’s more.”  Oh God, please don’t.
*jams to the heavy guitar music that plays when Fish and her men leave with Strange*
“Killer... killer... you’re a killer.”  Oh I hate this
God, you could just see Jim just struggle to control himself with the virus...
How the heck is Alfred gonna snap Bruce out of this brainwash?
God, this whole interrogation scene between Bruce and Alfred is breaking my heart because you can just see Alfred look so heartbroken.
*Oswald reveals that he took the machine that Strange used to give him “therapy” in S2*  OH SNAP!
*Jim punches his way through the wall of ice with the virus*  Whoaa...
*is silent when Alfred tries telling Bruce some of his childhood memories in order to help Bruce snap out of it*
God, Sean Pertwee and David Mazouz are amazing in this scene... oh my God...
“I [Alfred] love you, Master Bruce.  I would do anything for you.  I would die for you.”  *yells in pain*
*Lucius knocks out Virus!Alvarez with a typewriter*  OH!  GO, LUCIUS!
FOUR FOR YOU!
*gasps when Lee pops up in Barbara’s club*
Oh snap, are we gonna have a Lee vs. Tabitha fight scene?
AN:  Nope.  Just Virus!Lee being Virus!Lee  :/
Bruce, where are you going?
So... what’s the antidote comprised of?
God, Fish, do not freaking drop it [the row of antidote vials]!
What the...
What.... who are these guys?
*Mr. Freeze blasts an assassin out of the air with his freeze gun*  OOOHHHHH!!!
Did Jim just freaking take down like five ninjas by himself?!?
*gasps when Jim stabs Fish*
AND SHE [Fish] DROPPED THEM [the vials of antidote]!  JIM, NOO!!
Oh my freaking God, they killed off Fish Mooney.
Jiiiiimmmm....
“... I [Hugo] just need one thing.”  Oh God.
FREAKING JERVIS!
I actually really like this Barbara and Ed team-up, even if it is temporary.
*Bruce finds the Yuyan building*  Wait, so Ra’s has been hanging out in Gotham this entire time?  Seriously?
“I’m [Alfred] gonna follow Bruce.”  God, this is such a bad idea...
*gasps*  The League of Assassins!
Wait, they were the ones that took out Fish’s goons!
OH MY GOOODDD IT’S THE LAZARUS PIT!  In all its glowy green glory!
HI ALEXANDER SIDDIG!
“I am Ra’s al Ghul.”  YEAH YOU ARE!
“But for all my [Ra’s] years, all my travels, there is one thing that I never found:  a true heir.”  Yep, it’s definitely him.  Here we go.
*gasps when the League drags Alfred into the room*
*Ra’s slaps Alfred across the face*  NO!
GOD AND HE’S [Ra’s] WEARING A CAPE TOO!
“Kill him.”  YOU BETTER NOT!
YOU BETTER NOT!
*clutches pillow in worry*
“And you’re [Bruce] gonna remember how much I [Alfred] love you.”  Oh my God, this is killing me!
Like I know Alfred isn’t gonna die because he’s in S4 but oh my Gooddd....
“And I scooped you [baby!Bruce] up in my arms, and I held you, and you opened your eyes and you looked at me.  And at that moment, I decided that I would do anything for you.”  Oh my God.... Alfred...
Bruce...
*utterly screams in horror into my pillow when Bruce stabs Alfred through the chest*
S3E22
OH MY GOD!!
*screams*
GOD I’M ACTUALLY GONNA CRY
This show better not make me cry during the middle of the night, I swear to God...
“[Bruce] Your strength only confirms what the prophecy has foretold:  an heir to serve as my [Ra’s] knight in the darkness.”  Oh my God..
I’m sorry, but what the hell?!?
Oh my God, use the Lazarus Pit to revive Alfred!
*Alfred comes back*  OH MY GOD YES!
[Incoming:  Lee]  Screw this noise
Wait, so do Jim and Lee still have the virus or has it worn off?
“And I want you [Jim] with me [Lee].  But I want the real you.”  Nope, they still have it.  Son of a...
“I [Jim] need to save Lee!”  Oh no.
So are Barbara and Tabitha is supremely on-again, off-again girlfriends at this point or what?
“Yeah, Penguin, Nygma, Tetch all in the same place for a high-stakes hostage swap.  What could possibly go wrong?!?”  Same sentiments here, Harvey!
“NYYYGGGMAAAAAAA!!!”  Oh snap.
*Oswald knocks out Ed*  OHHHH!
*Oswald steals Jim and Harvey’s cop car*  FREAKING OSWALD!
God, Bruuuuccee!
God, [Jim] do not listen to to Jervis...
*gasps when we see Jervis scream offscreen*
WHAT THE HECK DID JIM DO?!?
“[Gloating] was always one of your least attractive qualities, Oswald.”  Oh snap.
*Oswald puts on his bowler hat*  Oh there we go.
Oh my God, they’re [Tabitha and Butch] gonna freaking kill Barbara!
*Tabitha kisses Butch on the cheek*  Oh my gosh.
Bruuuuucceee.....
“Because you [Selina] don’t believe in in anyone or anything but yourself!”  Oh.
“What are you even doing here, Selina?  You don’t give a damn about Alfred, and you sure as hell don’t care about me [Bruce]!”  Yes she does!  You two are over the moon for each other!  Reconcile right now!
“I want you.”  Oh you better not.
*Jim and Lee kiss*  Oh my God...
“You want to know why I [Ed] could never love someone like you, Oswald?  Because you are a spoiled child who throws a tantrum any time he doesn’t get what he wants!  Especially when what he wants doesn’t want him back.”  Oooooohhh!!!
“[Ed] Your entire persona was based on a lie!”  Oh.  Snap.
Sunglasses.  Real non-conspicuous, you guys [Lee and Jim]...
C’mon, Harvey!
“[Jim] You’re the best cop I ever worked with.  The best friend I’ve ever had.”  Oh my gosh... Harvey...
*Jim finds two vials of the antidote on the back of his badge*  YESSSS!!!
*Jim gives Lee the antidote*  There we go!  Finally!
*Jim gives himself the antidote*  There... we go...
OH I AM SO GLAD THAT”S DONE WITH
*gasps when Barbara shoots Butch in the head*
“I [Bruce] don’t know what I [Alfred] would do without you...”  God, Bruce, you’re actually gonna make me cry...
Oh my God, we’re back at the dock.  Great.
Oswald, I’m actually really liking your outfit in this episode.
“Any last words [Oswald]?”  Sike?
*jaw drops when Ed’s gun is revealed to be empty*
*gasps*  Ivy!  And Mr. Freeze!
Oh my gosh this music here!
“You knew that I’d bring you here [to the dock].”  Because you’re too predictable!
“I [Oswald] may be driven by my emotions, but you [Ed] are driven by something much more predictable: a desperate, compulsive need to complete what you've started in exacting fashion.”  Oh.  Snap.
*gasps when Mr. Freeze freezes Ed*
“Barbara?”  Oh God, here we go...
“Yes.  I [Barbara] killed him [Butch].”  Crap.
*Barbara kisses Tabitha mid-fight*  What the....
*gasps when Tabitha electrocutes Barbara*
I’m sorry, what?!?!?
“I [Bruce] don’t know who I am, Alfred.  Who am I supposed to be?”  Batman.
God, Bruce is probably gonna go through some hardcore PTSD in the beginning of S4
*Selina eyes Tabitha’s whip*  Here we go!
“What are we gonna call it [Oswald’s new club]?”  “The Iceberg Lounge.”  THERE WE GO!
Where the heck did Lee go?  Out of town, hopefully.
*jaw drops when we see the Ed-sicle in the middle of the Iceberg Lounge*
*gasps*  Butch!
“That’s Butch Gilzean.”  “Really?  His chart lists his birth name as Cyrus Gold.”  WHAAAATTT?!?
SOLOMON GRUNDY!
Oh my gosh, and she’s [Lee] wearing the same outfit that she wore when she came back in the beginning of the season!
“I [Harvey] didn’t ask you [Jim] what time it was.  I asked if you wanted to get a drink.”  Sounds marvelous!
“Yoi know, I’d [Jim] actually like to get back to being a detective.  Do some some good old-fashioned police work.  The kind that doesn’t involve secret cults or blood viruses.”  Oh, wait til you get to Jeremiah, buddy... just you wait.
Whoa, wait, what is this?
*gasps when we hear a whooshing sound above the crime scene*
WE GOT FREAKING BATMAN IN THE MAKING!
Take it off, take it off, take it off, take it-
*Bruce takes off his ski mask*  YOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
OH MY GOD, LET’S GO!

Song Tag Double Whammy
So my dude @fujiquacki tagged me in some things and I’m gonna do em and add vague descriptions because it’s 3am and I love music. (sidenote this took me like 3 hours so now it's 6am whatever tho)
I'll do the tagging stuff now, I don’t think i have 10 mutuals who aren’t also tagged in fuji’s post but I’ll tag as many as i can way up here so you don't have to read like 1100ish words of me being gay for music if you don't want to lmao
@standarddivination, @thecockmeister, @samsucc, @marvelfangeek09, @tia-lewise, @pure-love-and-destruction, @thehavenabovereality, come check this out and do it if you feel like it lol
Part 1:
Rules: If you can, list the Top Ten songs you are listening to lately, and tag ten mutuals to do the same!
1) Get Got // Death Grips
(Brutal experimental industrial hip-hop that about police chases and death with really dark and intimidating synth)
2) Garden Shed // Tyler, The Creator
(The number one song about being in the closet ever, also some really trippy melodies and great vocals from both Tyler and Estelle, also I don't know what pedals they used to get the great guitar effect in the bridge but i fkn want them)
3) Under Your Thumb // Godley & Creme
(Fabulous synth and a haunting (haha) story about meeting the ghost of a suicidal woman on the train she threw herself in front of.)
4) Thou Shalt Always Kill // Dan Le Sac vs Scroobious Pip
(More great hip-hop, this time an inspiring message about how to think critically and not worship content creators)
5) Barracuda // Heart
(That classic flanger riff at the start is really ingrained in my mind recently and also Ann Wilson's voice is freaking great on this track wow)
6) Garbage Truck // Sex Bob-omb/Beck
(Scott Pilgrim is my all time fave and I got a new fuzz pedal that sounds so much like this I've been thinking of covering it, indie rock with heavy overdriven bass and simple but loveable vocals)
7) Now The Action Is On Fire // Biffy Clyro
(The kind of heavy alternative rock that’s the staple of Biffy's early albums, the driving guitar and interesting drum pattern contrasted with violins and soft vocals on this one keep me coming back to it despite it being fairly hefty at like 8 minutes long ish)
8) Just Keep Walking // INXS
(A great Australian mix of New Wave, Ska and a dash of poppy melody, this track has a sweet bassline and a catchy hook and I haven't been able to stop playing it since I bought the band's 1st LP last week)
9) Friend Zone // Yucky Duster
(Brooklyn quad Yucky Duster's intro to their self titled album is a fabulously blunt deconstruction of the way creepy guys think. Coupled with a great guitar riff that makes for a short but surprisingly replayable track here)
10) The Working Hour // Tears For Fears
(MMMMMmmmmmm that saxophone and also Roland Orzabal's voice is honey right here wow I love new wave and synthpop and damn I'm very gay for the 80s in general but jeez this song exemplifies it)
Part 2:
Rules: Write the first 10 songs that come up on shuffle, write your favorite lyrics, then tag 10 people.
Moonage Daydream // David Bowie Keep your electric eye on me babe Put your ray gun to my head Press your space face close to mine, love Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah! (This one always makes me think of like an awesome raypunk romance type scene I love it)
Irresistible // Fall Out Boy You ought to keep me concealed just like I was a weapon I didn't come for a fight but I will fight 'til the end This one might be a battle, might not turn out okay You know you look so Seattle but you feel so LA (I’ve never been to Seattle or LA but damn I guess I’m feeling what he’s saying here)
Here Comes The Hotstepper // Ini Kamoze Nah, na na na nah Na na na nah, na na nah, na na nah Na na na nah Here comes the hotstepper (murderer) I'm the lyrical gangster (murderer) Big up di crew in-a di area (murderer) Still love you like that (murderer) (A true classic, really, if you don’t naaa nananana along with this we aren’t friends)
Lullaby // The Cure Quietly he laughs and shaking his head Creeps closer now, closer to the foot of the bed And softer than shadow and quicker than flies His arms are all around me and his tongue in my eyes Be still be calm be quiet now my precious boy Don't struggle like that or I will only love you more For it's much too late to get away or turn on the light The spider-man is having you for dinner tonight (Robert Smith is creepy af when he wants to be and this is such a great depiction of depression and addiction in a lyrical form wow)
Letter From God To Man // Scroobious Pip vs Dan Le Sac So I apologize for any mistakes I made And when my words misconstrued But this apology's to Mother Nature Cause I created you (Weirdly not the only song about how we’re messing up earth but probably the wittier of the two)
505 // Arctic Monkeys But I crumble completely when you cry It seems like once again you've had to greet me with "Goodbye" I'm always just about to go and spoil a surprise Take my hands off of your eyes too soon (damn this breakdown is depressing but also a banger)
Waiting // Green Day I've been, waiting a long time For this, moment to come I'm destined, for anything at all (aimlessly drifting has always been my thing so yano)
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me" // Fall Out Boy And you're just the girl all the boys want to dance with And I'm just the boy who's had too many chances I'm sleeping on your folks' porch again, dreaming She said, she said, she said "Why don't you just drop dead?" (I feel like this pre-chorus haunted me back in my angsty emo days and it will probably actually haunt me for the rest of my life, but secretly i kinda love it)
Forest // System Of A Down Why can't you see that you are my child? Why don't you know that you are my mind? Tell everyone in the world that I'm you Take this promise to the end of you (A song about mother earth pleading with her offspring humanity to recognize what they’re doing to her and step out of the forest of their denial, equally ghostly and heavy this chorus is always hard hitting)
Shoplifters Of The World Unite // The Smiths Shoplifters of the world Unite and take over Shoplifters of the world Hand it over, hand it over, hand it over (Karl Marx’s “worker of the world, unite...” remixed by Morrissey to suit harsh realities in the dole lines of working class England)
Thanks for coming to my musical TEDx talk you guys
