In an alternate world where a pandemic targeted only men, now the male population in the entire nation is just 381 surviving males who are sheltered in The Farm. Women have to enter the show in order to get married to a man.

It is an absolute riot to watch, balanced in plot, comedy and emotional scenes. Did I mention that there is an entire episode which is basically Among Us?

The cast is led by Belle Kemisara and Blue Pongtiwat. There's familiar faces including Man Trisanu(Step by Step), Lily Nichapalak(The Gifted), Kun Kunchanuj(Last Twilight).

I just finished bingeing the show and I need another season already. The show deals with complex themes in a mature manner and felt like a social commentary without being too in the face.

I'm thinking again about the cannons in Kung Fu Panda 2 and how they represent trauma, more specifically Shen's trauma which he projects outward and how he harms others with it.. And also how these cannons represent Shen's entire mentality because all he knows is how to harm and conquer. Even down to something like happiness, he believes it must be taken, not something that he can just have. It's also why he takes his parents' invention (the fireworks) and turns it into a weapon (the cannons), taking something joyful and molding it into something destructive instead. The cannons represent his trauma, and by extension, Po's; Shen continues to force his trauma onto others while Po grows around his wounds (also visually represented when he forms the yin n yang around the cannonball) and learns to heal. The cannonballs going from red to gold is the perfect touch; the red representative of how Shen lashes out vs the gold representing Po's willingness to heal. Shen meets his demise because he destroys everything around him (his relationships, his family, his throne, and then on the boat, the ropes). Him being killed by the cannon falling is the most fitting ending he could've been given and the only way it could've ended in order to truly show how he and Po are narrative foils and how his response to his trauma and fears was his downfall.

if i was smart and elaborate i would breakdown the parallels between coil’s fate and taylor’s at the end of worm (c’mon now…the irony is there)

the beauty of taylor reasoning she’s the one who has to end coil, not even when lisa steps in to offer. and reminder, at this rate, taylor was coil’s best soldier. lisa was as much of a “pet” as dinah was. coil was ultimately taylor’s nemesis throughout worm, even if his end is halfway through the story and he isn’t the big bad. you can argue there’s so many moments when our saint of escalation reaches the point of no return, but i want to argue it’s coil. when taylor shoots coil, it’s the point of no return for her— there’s a life before that particular scene and after. taylor, who reasons and says, yes, we need to this thing because if no one else does, it’s gonna get worse. taylor takes it on herself, not lisa, not any undersider, to finish off coil. because if anyone is going to do what needs to be done, it’s taylor.

and in the end? we get taylor, who’s given up her humanity, who’s done something so unspeakable (because i love her but ward explores the trauma of gm to where its like, hey, what the fuck taylor) on her knees. we get taylor, who once held the gun to finish off an evil, at the mercy of someone else who also rationalizes their actions (and this is me being very very simple with that statement because fuck do i have thoughts about contessa). and taylor gets asked if she would do it again, and taylor looks at stars, and it’s so ironic how both coil and taylor have their stories end at the mercy of a gun to their head

This movie is a prime example of what I think is rare nowadays in media. Just the ability to tell a story and have it mean something.

I’m utterly destroyed. That movie was so beautiful in its entirety.

When your really bad at reading ppl and their a vv emotionless person in general on top of that and all you want to do is make them happy so you try and guess what their thinking but then they get mad at you for that so you stop trying to guess but then they also get mad at you for that but if you try and ask them to tell you what their feeling they say no which you can’t argue with bc you want to be respectful of their boundaries but that just leave you constantly stressing out if their mad at you and never feeling like enough for them

1- I do feel bad for Markus because he was just a guy who was there and got caught in the crossfire but he seemed really sweet??? Maybe season 3 was can have justice for Markus and he can find himself a supportive relationship (Nils mayhaps?)

Finally got around watching the owl house finale

Lena's still as Genji comes in, quiet but not silent, and Lena did not stop him from entirely. He had shared enough with Lena, Lena was content to share some of her own history with him where others would be denied.

She feels him stare at the surgical scars that surronded the mounting. It wasn't an easy surgery and it had marred and mottled the skin surronded the application. There were smaller scars too, left during fits of rage and upset of a younger woman trying so hard to be normal, to go back. But even she cannot reverse time like that.

"You can touch it if you'd like." The accelerator is ambiently warm. She feels naked like this, without the housing that protects it and gives her time-moving abilities. But there's a certain beauty to this simiplicity. Few see her like this, weak.

"Feel naked like this, without the harness." She's not much for words, but Genji felt like the person to share it with. "When I first go' it, I didn't wan' it. Tried to pull it off. But of course I couldn't."

Lena lets the converation lasp into a delicate silence.

I need some time to think on it, but I really do think that Peaky Blinders may be up there as a top three favorite show of all time. I have never in my life been so consistently enthralled by a show from start to finish before. I mean, just fucking enraptured. I am so glad that I got to binge it all at once though, so no regrets for not picking it up sooner.
