for the clout, I hate the quality, he is my oc, Benett, since this is a Voltron ¿? au I decided to make him galra, half galra? I'll explain below the cut, better not open it if u just want to see the drawing lol.
so originally he was a human, almost like Shiro, kind of a mix between Shiro and Keith, why? cause he went on a mission to the space as Shiro did, he got captured and instead of adding him a robotic part of the body, he got galra blood added to him, giving the ability to turn human and galra whenever he decides to. The experiment was very but very painful though, after that he managed to escape the ship on one of the galra missions, the ship had a malfunction allowing him to escape a ship. That's when he was found by the blade of Marmora, staying there until now.

Ok now Imma toot my horn here and say that I am absolutely proud of this character. I challenged myself to design a VLD OC on the spot without much of a plan, or much time to think about him. Just grab the pen and GO. No thought, no concept. Just GO HAM [and bonus points if I gave him an adequate backstory.]
I made him from scratch in under an hour with no real idea [sketch/lines/color and all], and about 4 references for Galra characteristics. I also thought up a vague backstory for him while drawing and this was the ultimate result.
I love this character with all my heart. He is incredibly dear to me bc a lot of passion went into making this [late to the party but I watched VLD last summer, so I was in the thick of my kick at the time]. I have not created a fandom oc in the longest time, so I was nervous, but by the end of it I adored how he turned out. He’s gotten a more fleshed out backstory since I made him as well as a boyfriend. [Even a polyamory AU which you can see a little bit about in his TH uwu]
That’s really about it for now. I don’t wanna ramble, and it is pretty late at the time of writing this so I shall let you all go qwq

my second contribution to the binary stars zine.
sadly the fic, WHICH IS RLY GOOD, never got posted [long story, not mine to tell ;u;] but this was a telepath!keith/blind!shiro AU. basically keith is a captured BoM, and is sent to the arena in chains to be executed by a beast, but then a blind galra is thrown in to the arena was well, with a weapon. keith is able to convince him they can work together and using his telepathic link, shiro is able to defeat the beast.
afterward, they are thrown together more often in the arena and over time keith learns shiro is actually a human who has been experimented on and altered heavily. he also ends up teaching him about galra culture and how to navigate some of the wierd shit galra go thru [since shiro is experiencing a lot of galra instincts lol].
meanwhile the BoM are working on freeing keith, but keith will not leave without shiro :')
so in this scene, we have keith tracing coordinates on shiro's back, in hopes that he will be able to use them to escape. i do hope viper posts this fic one day but if not, just know it was rly good and liek the perfect slowburn.

so as i keep saying this was a rly good fic. i had like 5 diff scenes i rly wanted to draw but i realized i was NOT going to be able to fit any of them into only 3 pages lol… that didn't stop me from TRYING more than once tho…
attempt #1, 3 pics:
this scene is them bathing [PLATONICALLY] after a round in the arena. keith is lamenting about shiro geting hurt due to keith's reckless fighitng style leaking into shiro thru the mind meld, and thinks about how shiro still moves like he has his human body too, which shiro picks up on thanks to the mind link [which is something of a habit at this point lol]. shiro is angsting about the fact he actually dosen't know the extent of what has been done to him thanks to the injury that blinded him, and after asking to see how he looked as a human, keith ends up reassuring him that he's still a cutie lol.
the page with the dialogue only is when i realized there was no way i was fitting that scene into 3 pages lol.
attempt #2:
this scene is basically near the start to the fic. keith is brought in to the arena and chained to a pylon. he hears a bunch of rly loud monster noises and pounding at the door across the arena and is like, wow i am actually fucked 8D then shiro is brought in and thrown to the ground, along with a weapon. keith watches him try to feel around for the weapon and realizes he's blind, then calls out to him. shiro immediately goes into attack mode but keith is able to convince him that they can be allies, and briefly explains he's a telepath before melding their minds so that shiro can see through his eyes, and after a bit of clumsiness they are able to beat the beast this way :D
my designs for the boys. i have unclothed versions too that show off all their markings and scars but i feel like that would get the post flagged so these will have to do lol. i did post them on twitter tho, if you wanna bother looking there. also yes, this design is rly similar to the other contribution i did for this zine, which is because i rly like the idea of keith having these specific markings LOL. this is p much my official go to glara!keith design.

I'M JUST GONNA SAY IT CAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT! I NEED TALL GALRA KEITH!
Everyone keeps making this man's height the same as before and I just really want someone to draw him tall or something like that! I know that he's technically only half-galra so he technically isn't supposed to even look glara, but the dude's eyes turned into glara eyes during that one time and I just really want Keith to be randomly freakishly tall! Allura became tall when she impersonated a galra guy and she was taller than Shiro, SHIRO!!!! Bro is taller than all of them and Allura made him look like Pidge's height compared to Lance! I just needed to rant about this because I would be so freakn' happy if it happened!
On a side note, I got back into the Voltron fandom and redraw my OC from middle school and I am not sparring her little butt from all that new tramua I'm dumping on her, just let me know if you guys want to see her, her name is Naomi btw

When Keith found out he was half glara he freaked internally.
He thought everyone would hate him because of it, I mean shrio was caught by them, alluras family was killed by them.
Keith was already known as 'a loner' everyone thought he wanted to be alone, I mean he sometimes want to be alone but he doesn't always want to be alone. He tried his best to be a better friend,a better brother and teammate.
When training one day Keith has gotten a concussion, lance had knocked him off of his feet and he hit the floor a little to hard.
"keif!" Shrio called out running towards his little brother, keif laid on the ground looking daze
"keif can you hear me?" Shrio asked a little more calmly but he was panicking, the whole team including allura and coran (I frogot how to spell his name) gathered around Keith with looks of worry
Keif started giggling and that sent shrio in a spiral of panic
"what are you laughing at buddy?" Lance asked trying to figure out what was wrong, he felt guilty.
"you all hate me..." Keif answered giggling at the end
What..?
"keif.." pidge whispered in surprise, she tried to suppress tears but they came down anyway
"keif.. we don't hate you" shrio said, he kept glancing at coran worrying for a single saying that he could move keif
"but I'm -gGlara.." keif slurred, his eyelids were dangerleully close to closing
"that doesn't matter keif! Your our friend, your my brother we would never hate you" shrio said as he let his own tears fall
"let's bring him to the infermaity". Coran spoke up letting shrio know that it was safe to move keif
"I'm gonna move you now ok?" Shrio said letting keif know that he would soon be lifted up off of the ground
Shrio picked keif up bridal style and brang him to the medbay (we're gonna call it that since I dont know how to spell)
"we can't put him in a healing pod, your suppose to have a stable mind but lied has none of that right now" coran said
"so we're gonna have to take care of him the old fashion way?" Shrio asked, he already knew the answer though
",yep" coran resided twisting his mustache
"I'll go make soup!" Hunk said as he hugged out of the room.
Keif shivered, his amour was fine and now he just left in a short sleeve bodysuit
"here" lance handed keif his sweatshirt, taking notice of how cold keif was
Shiro helped his brother in the sweatshirt, he then picked kief up again and brang him to his room.
Let's just say keif was very confused why he was wearing lances sweatshirt

Okay, I have just realized that Kiribaku is actually pretty similar to Klance and maybe thats why I love Kiribaku so much? It’s a trauma response LOL. I find they similar because, they both met in some kind of school (even if Keith didn’t acknowledge Lance) Keith and Bakugou are both the angry “fuck off” type Keith is just a bit more loner then Bakugou is, They both experience traumas, Keith’s parents left/died and he found out he is blood related to glaras (their enemies in the show) and Bakugou was kiddnapped, suffocated, and chained up. Kirishima and Lance are both the happy go lucky guys and smile and make jokes all the time, they both have self esteem issues, but instead of being “rivals” Kirishima and Bakugou are best friends and I think thats why I like it because I always wanted Lance and Keith to be close friends and yea they were getting closer but then Keith left for a bit. BUT STILL. When I’m reading Kiribaku fanfics they seem so familiar BECAUSE IVE READ A KLANCE BOOK WITH THE SAME PLOT. AND IT MAKES SENSE OMG. please someone see this and understand.

Idk I think her being frustrated and angry and even a little scared makes sense in their very specific situation, considering that nearly her entire race was wiped out? And not like, a super long time ago her like she lived through the active loss and grieving of her family and people I don’t think it’s comparable to people who have generational trauma at the hands of yt ppl that, while is still difficult to handle, isn’t necessarily from their own lived experiences? And also not while living with the glara and beside them while being oppressed by them but still generally having rights? Her only frame of reference is terrible violent trauma from her direct experience that I think could have been explored better as the terrible trauma that that was and not framing it as the weird reverse racism thing they went with… idk. It’s been forever since I watched it but I think that’s generally what I thought at the time? Like it’s a bit more complicated. It definitely should have been more toned down in most areas and the potential bond and friendship that could have been born out of canon kallura could have been so good BECAUSE of it y’know? Like… healing… growing…  frustration… . Anger.. blame.. bonding and then once again trust, but stronger! like there’s layers!! Also I’m very pro girls being angry and acting out….. idk… sorry
once again… it’s been awhile I have Not rewatched I’m not that strong
ok ok yeah. yeah i see what you're saying. the whole reverse racism storyline bothered me a lot too like. you could tell those were white writers (insult). i just think she's smart and logically she would know keith didnt really. do anything. obviously she'd feel her feelings about it but. you know i dont think pretending he didnt exist was The Move. i too am For angry women but i do not like how they handled that conflict very much. do not like it very much at all.
but anyway she said sorry and she's my babygirl <3

Voltron Season 1 Finale into Season 2 Episode 1 Quote Rant:
Recap: Team meets Alteans a few days prior. Allura self sacrificed for Shiro-(It's questionable if they both could have escaped if she'd just threw him over her shoulder and ran the small distance between the half melted door and the escape pod.) Team then decided to rescue her. After they do the paladins face Zarkon and Haggar head on and wind up severely injured and disorganized on the way out.
Paladins: *Are scattered and thrown through a dark magic void after saving her*
Allura: THEN LIONS ARE GONE!
But it would also make sense where Allura's logic is at. She has only known them for a few days therefore her sentiment is set more on her father, his Voltron legacy, and vengeance. Her sentiment seems more detached like Keith's was on risking Voltron for someone they barely knew. (Not only that she was pretty dreadful those first few days after waking and demanding the paladins fight the Glara 🤣)

Hello I need help please!
I’ve been digging through fic finders to find this one specific fic for a while and have had no luck. Fortunately I saw a post of yours from 2017 where you mentioned reading a lot of fics where Lance is captured by glara, which is the niche I’m looking for.
This is what I remeber from the fic:
During a mission, something happens and there’s an explosion that Lance is caught in, ultimately leaving a scar on his back. The galea then capture him.
Lance is placed in a cell where he goes through torture and experiments, namely regarding his quintessence. Eventually the team rescues him. I do not remember much about this part.
Once at the castle, the team is trying to prep him for a healing pod, but he still had on the paladin armor under garments, which weren’t comparable with the pods. However, everything had been healing and scabbing over the clothes, so it was going to be miserable to take off. Shiro and Keith stat with Lance while the rest of the team is in the hallway. Kieth holds onto Lance as shiro has to rip off the clothes.
A while later Allura figures out that the Galra had messed with Lances quintessence and they had to fix it. They set up in blues hangar and essentially removed all of lances quintessence and supplemented it with the blue lions afterwards. He was very close to dying for a while and pidge was upset.
I don’t remember much after that, but I do remember that I loved the righting and the author addresses the trauma very well, delivering lots of gut punching scenes.
I would love to read this fic again if you’re able to find it. Thank you so much for your time, hope you are well and your platonic cuddles puddles are plentiful.
I'm so sorry, I have no idea what this fic is. Maybe search for a Voltron fic finder tumblr and ask there, or maybe one of my followers will know. I haven't read Voltron fics for a long time.
