Dc x dp idea 100
John likes to trick beings to getting himself a good deal and screwing the entities over. So he does this with the new ghost king.
He somehow worded the deal to keep the king in his home realm. You know to keep Danny in the infinite realm unable to attack the earthly realm.
This backfires. And backfires hard. Danny’s home realm is still the earthly one. All John did was not let him back into the realm.
Danny is thrilled. And living his best life. No more council meetings, the paperwork is stuck in the keep, the Observants can’t force him to do kingly duties and above all else. He is passing all of his classes. Scheduled fights with his rogues help as well.
John. Well he’s not having a good time. The Observants are screaming at him, the new king is stuck in earth who knows what he is up to, and he’s had visits from all of Danny’s ghost guardians to yell at him.
John has to break the deal.
Danny doesn’t want to.
When Danny eventually agrees to discuss it. He shows up with a ghost lawyer, sam, and Jazz all in order to secure Danny a good deal. Maybe tucker as well.
Danny wants at least rated M and movie tickets for him and his friends for life, and of course Martian manhunters autograph.
Jazz wants him to get a guarantee that they would leave him alone.
Sam wants them to guarantee ghost protection and end the Giw.

Random bit, but does anyone else wonder if ghosts from the ghost zone react to humans similarly to how humans react to ghosts? Like sometimes I just want to write Danny in human form around Frostbite in a manner that’s kind of from Frostbite’s prospective, and describe Danny’s human form in a way that connects to the living world or at least partially does. Let me just show you what I mean.
It was odd for Frostbite, seeing the Great One’s human form for the first time. True, he literally asked for it during the checkup, and he’s met Sam and Tucker before, but something about this was different. Perhaps it was the simple fact that Frostbite had only seen him in ghost form until that point, maybe it had something to do with him being a halfa. Who was to say when there was so, so little information on Halfas?
Hair the color of freshly fallen snow, much like the fur of Frostbite and his people, now turned as dark as a shadow. Perhaps even darker, just like Sam’s. Unlike Sam, however, Danny’s eyes had a different color. A shade of green that both practically and often literally glowed just like the ectoplasm all ghosts were made of had been replaced by a light blue. Looking at them reminded the chief of ice, and he was sure that any glare from them would feel like ice piercing a ghost’s very core. His skin was a little darker now, but Danny still appeared a little paler than Sam.
Looking at Danny now was like looking at a glimpse of a world where everything was different. Frostbite knew that the two realms were obviously different, but it felt more... perhaps “dangerous” was a good word, or “mysterious”. The thumping of his heart was picked up on more easily by the machines used to read his core vibrations, and the thermometer rose gradually until it reached 94 degrees. That temperature was extremely dangerous for a ghost with an ice core, as the average temperature for one was between 10 to 0 degrees. And yet Danny Phantom’s recorded body temperatures were always between 32 and 40, which was by itself alarming enough. Now it was all the way at 94?!
“Young Phantom, are you alright?! The thermometer says that your body temperature is 94 degrees!” Frostbite exclaimed.
Danny nodded and smile a little, his new ghost teeth, which Sam and Tucker called fangs despite them being rather small, were visible for a short while.”That’s actually close to the average healthy temperature for a human, which is 97 to 99 degrees, but I guess being half ghost lowered it a bit? It’s when the body temperature reaches 100 or higher that we should worry.” He said.
“...I need to update your record.” Frostbite said after a moment’s silence. Once the checkup was over, perhaps he could ask the Great One to bring some medical books on humans to better understand the living, and dead, paradox that was Halfas.
“My what now?” Danny asked.

fluff!!! little mentions to bakugou's past as a bully :/ but he's now very much in love with you <3
Tumblr media
the best way to let bakugou katsuki know that you’re mad at him is by refusing to hold his hand.
handholding is one of bakugou’s all time favourite affections. although subtle, it’s grounding. he likes to know that you’re safe by holding you close to him, and he has the chance to pull you away from danger the moment it happens. also, to know that you trust him to keep you safe is another bonus.
he is destruction’s incarnate and it is from his hands that danger is initiated: hands that have threatened and bullied many- good and bad alike.
hands that have also pushed you into a corner when you were younger for defending a vulnerable midoriya from any more harm.
hands that have sparked explosions in your face during many school festivals as he sparked threats to match.
hands that gradually, but surely, learnt how to chase after you longingly.
after months- years of maturing and apologising for his stupidity, bakugou thinks he is the luckiest man in the world to be able to hold you with the same hands that sparked fear during his youth. he thinks he is the luckiest man in the world because you have trusted him to protect your heart in his very hands. similarly, you openly cherish his with your two palms and despite how it bleeds with love for you, you have never once let it break.
he also thinks he is unfortunate that you’re not compassionate enough to be against torturing him when he fucks up.
and the best way to show that you still have not forgiven him is by revoking his hand holding privileges.
bakugou hates it when there’s tension between you two and despises it even more when you have to pretend like nothing is wrong when in fact, everything is wrong. you’re mad at him for some shit he said last night and now you don’t want to hold his hand, let alone look at him, and he wants to crumble.
instead of finding a chance to talk, you both had to hang out with sero, kaminari, kirishima and mina as part of your obligatory monthly meetup and it was very obvious that something was off between you and bakugou.
when a merciless gust of wind hits, bakugou sees this as his moment to react. as goosebumps emerge on your exposed skin and you audibly shiver from the cold, it earns you a fair share of concerned looks.
“you okay, y/n?” kirishima asks and you nod, shrugging up your shoulders as a futile attempt to shield yourself from the frostbite. from the corner of your eye, your boyfriend is already shrugging off his jacket, keeping his sassy muttering to a minimum.
“just cold, thanks for asking,” you murmur, extending your palm to anyone in the group, “can someone hold my hand?”
bakugo immediately reaches for you, grumbling an ‘i’ll hold your hand’ but you retract from him with a dirty glare before he could even touch you. his jaw drops and his crimson eyes become windows to how betrayed he’s feeling, and even more so when you utter the next words:
“can someone else hold my hand?”
“but i’m your boyfriend?” he all but screams, earning a few snickers from your friends. they knew this dance all too well, sero and denki hissing ‘roasted’ at the blond.
mina’s the only one brave enough to challenge bakugou, “i’ll hold your hand, y/n!”
she’s almost successful too if it weren’t for small explosions stopping just in front of her face as bakugou glares at her with the ugliest (affectionately) expression you have ever seen. no one can resist laughing when he yells out a ‘touch y/n and you die, racoon eyes!’ before snatching your hand into his; his grip far too tight for you to even try and wrestle out of it.
“yeah, laugh all you want extras! at least i get to hold y/n’s hand, dipshits!”
“y/n’s got two hands though, can i hold your other one?” denki asks, feigning ignorance to the daggers bakugou was sending him and before you could giggle out a ‘sure!’, bakugou is lunging forward and shielding you from the electric blond.
“none of you are worthy, go away morons!”
your stomach is cramping at this point, your throat is begging for you to stop laughing, and your cheeks are so very sore that it hurts. your laughter has been mixed with the rest of the groups- with the exception of bakugou who is pouting with irritation laced deeply in his expression, but so long as he gets to see you smiling at him rather than frowning, he doesn’t really mind.
“whatever, laugh all you want,” he mutters before stuffing your hands into his pockets, where he can keep them warm. the remainder of the squad continues forward, knowing to leave you two alone.
his thumb is soothingly rubbing circles on the back of your hand as he shares his warmth with you. when bakugou katsuki meets your eyes, all the tension from last night dwindles away as he visibly relaxes, relieved that you’re at least allowing him to hold your hand again.
“we are okay, right?” he asks tentatively.
you shrug playfully, “i mean, i don’t really have any other choice than to say yes, do i?”
his next comment is quick, passive, but heavy in its meaning, “you do.”
you soften at his vulnerability, squeezing his hand before reassuring him that “we’re okay, katsuki, and we will be for a long time.”

Halloween night 1985
Of all the people you had to have a crush on, why did it have to be your annoying, oblivious dork of a best friend? You knew you needed to get over it, and even if there ever was a chance of being with him, you feared you’d lose him. You weren’t what Eddie wanted in a girl, and you knew that. You were surprised he kept you around now with how much you nagged at him. It’s not like it was all the time, but someone had to look out for that boy, especially if he wasn’t going to do it for himself.
Eddie interrupted your plans for a Halloween movie night, which you had planned out for a month, costumes included. If anyone were to look at you together, they would assume you were a couple; most people did. You were dressed as Jack and Wendy Torrance from the shinning. He even let you put makeup on him to give him the frostbite effect. So when he suddenly announced he had to go to Tina’s party to deal, you were annoyed. You tried not to nag, even though you hated the sound of your voice at this point. Plus, he promised it would only be an hour tops, and then you could get takeout with some of his earnings so that you couldn’t complain, especially when he looked at you with those eyes. You could never say no.
You weren’t the biggest fan of drugs or him dealing them; you knew he was better than that life. But you understood how hard things were on him and his uncle, so as long as it wasn’t forever, it wasn’t really bad drugs, you let it be. You never liked to be around when he dealt, though. Something about watching it made you feel weird. You could never explain why. Eddie was kind, though, and he never did anything in front of you. He didn’t even smoke weed, especially after that one time when he got super paranoid and scared you. You weren’t part of that life. You didn’t do drugs, you didn’t drink, and you didn’t party. It’s not that you were boring. It was just never you. Hey, maybe you were boring, but at least you didn't need drugs to enjoy yourself. You liked to be in control.
You are currently leaning against the countertop in the kitchen, sticking out like a sore thumb with a Coke in your hand. You look at the clock, he’s 30 minutes late. You were trying to turn a new leaf, so you were trying to be understanding, even if his time-wasting was cutting into your Halloween plans. You couldn’t take your eyes off the clock, not like there were other things to watch at this party: teenagers making out, getting too drunk or being sick. The clock seemed more appealing. When it hit the 2-hour mark, you started worrying, so you looked for him. What you didn’t expect to find was him in the garden with a blunt in his hand and his other hand on a blonde’s thigh.
The voice in your head telling you not to nag was now becoming quieter with how annoyed you were. He ditched you, and he was smoking, which showed he had no intention of continuing your plans. He just wanted to get high and laid. “Eddie!” you said loud and stern enough for him to hear you, but too high he was in his bubble with his girl for the night. “Edward Munson!” you said louder; he only ever hears that name when in trouble, so subconsciously, he straightened his back and tried to hide the blunt, failing miserably. He turned around to face you, he waved “Hi darling”. You glared at him. “Are you high, darling?” a mocking tone coming from your voice, using his usual pet name for you against him.
He pitched his fingers together “a little”. Eddie always thought you looked cute when you were mad; he usually tried to get you a little angry so he could see that face. Usually, though, he could hide his smile and keep a straight face since he was sober. But now, when he tried to keep a straight face, he couldn’t; even more irritating for you, he couldn't stop giggling, making the girl to his right giggle, too. “If you wanted to go party instead, you should have told me; you didn’t need to lie”. If Eddie were sober, he would see how hurt you were, but in his mind, this was a joke, “you don’t have to stay. You can go home and watch the films. Tell me what happens”. You freeze; this is why you hated High Eddie; he never realised how hurtful he came across. How selfish he became. And when he finally sobers up enough to realise you must forgive him because he ‘wasn’t in his right mind’. It’s a frustrating cycle, which is why he stopped smoking in front of you. Except for now, apparently. That’s probably why he ditched you so that you wouldn’t find out.
Hurtful words were on your tongue, but you were in your right mind, so you could never say them. You knew you wouldn’t mean them. You were just hurt, so you stormed off straight out the front door, but when you made it to the front porch, it was like you were stuck in glue. You couldn’t leave whether he was being a dick or not. He was still your best friend, and you need to ensure he was safe. He shouldn’t drive high, and knowing him, he would try. So you waited. You couldn’t go back into the hell hole that was Tina’s Halloween party, so you waited on a porch swing. The air was bitter tonight, so you were glad your costume provided a jumper, not that it looked like a costume anymore without a partner to go with it.
Your eyes were drifting shut with how tired and bored you were, that was until you heard a huge slam come from beside you, making you flinch. You weren’t the only one having a terrible time at this party; Steve was having an even worse one. “You got cigarettes?”. He didn’t look at you, so you didn’t realise he was talking to you. That was until you felt his glare burning into you. You knew that look wasn’t meant for you, but it still made you feel uncomfortable. Maybe it was due to the shots you could tell he had taken from the blue tint to his lips, or perhaps he had gotten into a fight. But this look wasn’t meant for you, but it didn't make it any less scary when you were in his firing line. “Huh?”. With the way he spoke to you next, you could have sworn you had done something to hurt his feelings. “Are you deaf I said do you have any smokes?” he spoke slowly like you were a dumb child. He tutted at you and turned away from you “bullshit”. He kept repeating like a madman.
Jesus, was he that addicted to nicotine, you thought. Even if he did make you feel a little uncomfortable, especially since you knew he was a jock, and even though they didn’t necessarily pick on you because, in their words, “you were a girl,” they bullied your friends so you knew how bad they could be. But even for a jock, this was dramatic “fucking hell, I’m sorry, I don’t have any” you said a little sarcastically. He stopped his repetition and looked over his shoulder at you. “What?” He said with anger still laced in his voice, like you did anything to deserve his rage. You didn’t know why you were wasting your breath on him, but Eddie had pissed you off, and you needed to get the annoyance out somehow. “Are you deaf? I said I’m sorry, I don’t have any”.
He thought he knew girls well, but after tonight, he wasn’t sure, and he didn’t want to figure out what was wrong with you either. He couldn’t be bothered by the grief. “Fuck off”. You couldn’t tell if his words were in reaction to what you said or if he meant it. That was until he repeated it, and you saw the look on his face, and the tears in his eyes that he didn’t realise were there. You didn’t know what was happening with him, but it was not your place to sort it. You were making it worse.
So you went back into the party, to look for two people, firstly Tommy Hagan everyone knew he was Harrington’s best friend, so even if you didn’t like Tommy you couldn’t leave someone when they were like that. It would only make you as bad as them. You found him around the beer pong table. You lightly tapped his shoulder as you couldn’t deal with another boy's wrath tonight. He turned around, looking you up and down, smirking. “What are you supposed to be a virgin?” You rolled your eyes. You knew you could think of a comeback and put him in his place, but now wasn’t the time; you needed to get him outside, and you didn’t want to announce that his friend, the king of Hawkin High, was crying on the lawn in front of everyone. You weren't cruel. “Can you just come outside with me?” The room erupted into “oh”, as if you were suggesting something sexual. “Wait, was I right about the virgin thing? Is the freak not giving you any? Do you want a real man instead?” He said, getting closer to you. He smelt of beer and body odour, but you let him closer so you could whisper in his ear. “Your boy is outside, and something’s happened. I’d go and sort it if I was you”. He looked at you confused and nodded. He walked out, but not before smacking you on the ass. “I’ll see you later, darling?”. God, he was the most enormous prick. You couldn’t hold your tongue anymore. “Is that with your girlfriend or alone?”.
Eddie came sauntering alone into the room after hearing your voice, “I hope you’re not starting fights”, he said, putting his arm around your shoulder out of comfort. You ignored his question, not wanting to get into it now. “You ready to go?” You looked at him and weakly smiled. Eddie couldn’t tell, though he was still high as a kite, just in the mellow stage, so all he could see was you smiling. You took the keys out of his pocket and led him to the van. On your way out, you walked past Tommy and Steve on the porch swing. Steve’s leg bounced. “She said we were bullshit”, he kept repeating; you were glad Eddie wasn’t sober enough to hear it. Otherwise, he would definitely use it against him. Everything about his mood towards you started to make sense. He and Nancy had clearly broken up. So you gave him a smile and a nod of acknowledgement as you left, which he only glared at. You didn't mind, though you were just glad he wasn’t alone, even if that meant being with Tommy.
You drove Eddie home, struggling to get his dead weight onto the bed and to get his shoes off. You were about to leave for your car outside when Eddie's hand grabbed for yours. “Stay”. This used to be one of the only things you liked about him being high, the cuddles and needing attention. However, right now, this was probably the worst thing for your heart when you were trying to get over him, but when you looked at his face, how could you say no if that made him happy, even if it would end up hurting you.

Part 4 Part 6
Tumblr media
Walking into the base this morning you found yourself feeling all giddy and joyful. Smiling the entire morning without even realizing it. Making admiral Simpson look at you with an extremely confused look, and you just simply ignored him.
You hadn't felt like this in such a long time and you knew exactly who was making you feel this way. A certain browned eyed mustache hunk of a man named Bradley Bradshaw that's who.
Ever since last night he was all you could think about up until the morning. You were probably just going to get your heart broken all over again, but right now you didn't care. Bradley had kissed you and you felt your cheeks heating up every time you thought about it.
You had always imagined what it would be like to kiss him, and you never thought in your wildest dreams that you would ever get that chance. You were starting to feel like the luckiest girl in the entire world.
As you made your way into the training room everyone was already seated. Stopping at the doorway everyone turned around to look at you. Bradley smiled at you to which you returned but it faded when you made direct eye contact with Hangman who had a toothpick in his mouth twirling it around with his tongue.
Hangman had a pretty good idea that there was something going on with you and Bradley or that something already happened. He was determined to find out and was going to use it to his advantage in any way it took.
He was the type of guy that would use people to get what he wanted. Walk all over them and stomp them into the ground if he had to. There wasn't any way he was going to let anyone get in the way of him being the pilot to lead this mission.
Walking down the aisle you could feel eyes on your backside. Placing your things on the desk as you gathered your things to prepare for what Maverick was wanting to teach today. There was small chatter amongst the other pilots, but there was two pilots who were staring at you.
"Good morning Frostbite." Hangman greeted giving you a wink and out of the corner of your eye you saw Bradley glare at him.
"Lieutenant Seresin." You responded back not even bothering to call him by his call sign.
"How are you darling?" He asked you the pet name irritated you unlike whenever Bradley would call you that.
He knew exactly what he was doing when he was talking to you. Simply trying to get a rise out of Bradley hoping he would show his anger so he could use it as ammunition. He had an agenda right now and you didn't like it.
"I was doing just fine until you started talking." You shot back at him making him and others laugh that you didn't put up with his crap.
"Let me take you on a date." His words almost had you choking on your spit and it came out more of as a demand rather than a question.
"No." Immediately answering while Bradley was smiling at you for being able to stand up for yourself like that, but hangman wasn't taking no for an answer.
"Oh come on darling." He pushed knowing exactly who he was trying to piss off. "I know you have a thing for pilots."
This caught everyone's attention even more hearing him say that. Bradley looked nervous thinking Hangman was about to uncover this secret you didn't want anyone to know about. Both of you waiting until the moment he revealed what he had suspicions about.
You weren't going to let Hangman talk to you like that. He was trying to act like he had this power over you, and you would be quick to remind him you were in charge on whether he could fly this mission or not.
"Good pilots." Now you were becoming a little defensive but you had to be careful since Hangman was already suspicious. "Not asshole pilots who think they're better then everybody else."
Grinning so widely he showed off his pearly white teeth. He was about to say something else when Maverick and some of the other admirals walked in. Turning your attention back to the older men who were now standing by you.
"Good morning aviators." Maverick greeted everyone his eyes focusing on Bradley giving him a small smile to which he surprisingly returned.
Now that Bradley and you were starting to make emends and becoming friends again it was time for him and Maverick to do the same. It probably wouldn't be as simple since both of them were stubborn as all get out.
"Today we're going to show you what this missions all about." Pointing to the large computers screens behind him that turned on. "We'll be reviewing the path you'll have to fly and we've created the same path here that we'll have you practice on."
Watching as the screen changed showing a small jet flying the course they would have to fly. It seemed a little more intense than what you were prepared for. Quickly looking over to Bradley who caught your eye giving you a small smile letting you know it was going to be okay.
"What we expect you to do may seem damn near impossible." Maverick continued to speak everyone focusing their attention back on him. "Phase one of this mission will be a low level ingress attacking in two plane teams.
"You'll be flying along this narrow canyon to your target where radar guided surface to air missiles will be defending the area."
"Which is why they were designed to protect the sky and not the area below." He informed everyone keeping his back towards the pilots.
"That's because the enemy knows nobody is crazy enough to try and fly that low." Bradley spoke up your eyes focusing on him as Maverick turned to look at him also.
"Which is exactly what we're going to train you to do." Bradley looked away as Maverick maintained eye contact and Hangman watched the whole thing with a sly smile.
"Your altitude will be 100 feet maximum." That had some pilots looking at each other like that was impossible. "If you exceed this altitude radar will spot you and you're dead."
Watching as the jet on the screen get shot down and you found yourself wincing at the image. All you could picture was yourself and Bradley being the one shot down. Bradley briefly looked over at you to make sure you were okay. Straightening yourself up you gave him a slight nod.
"Your airspeed will be 660 knots minimum and your time to target will be two and a half minutes."
"That's because fifth generation fighters wait at an air base nearby."Pointing towards the screen again to show off their jets and they looked intimidating and deadly.
"In a head to head with these planes in your F-18s and you're dead." Unaware that Maverick glanced at you when he turned around to face the looks of frightened pilots.
"Which is why you need to get in there hit your target and get out." Watching as Bradley looked over at Hangman who was just smirking. "Before these planes even have a chance of catching you."
It worried you that Bradley would even be attempting this kind of mission in the first place. To hear it spoken out loud raised your greatest fears. Before your failed mission you would have scoffed and joked how easy all this sounded, but now it absolutely petrified you.
"So for todays lesson we're gonna be taking it easy on you." He had this look on his face like he knew this was already going to be a challenge. "Maximum altitude will be 300 feet and time to target 3 minutes."
You could have almost laughed at some of their reactions like how in the hell is that going easier. He knew he had to get them to face reality that their lives were on the line, and this wasn't going to be easy. Someone may not come back from this mission, and that somebody may be Bradley.
"Lieutenant Kazansky will be keeping notes of who has the best time and can achieve these goals." Everyone looked to you as you stood there with a stoic look. "She'll report back to me with your scores."
"She'll also be giving you tips and telling you what exactly it is that you're doing wrong." Hearing that kind of felt like a pat on the shoulder, and you're not gonna lie it made your head a little bigger.
Maverick gave you a confident nod to not be worried of freaked out. Nobody could tell what your mind and body were thinking on the outside, but on the inside you were the complete opposite of calm and collected.
Telling yourself to remain strong not wanting to scare the other pilots away. Since part of you wondered if this was something they could even achieve. Doubting for just a small tiny bit that they wouldn't be able to pull this off.
"Good luck." He looked at everyone with a hopeful reassuring smile.
"I want Phoenix, Bob and Coyote up first." He instructed and they stood up putting on brave faces.
Watching as they walked out and the other pilots stood awaiting to be called next. Gravitating towards Bradley as you stood closer to him just wanting to run up to him, but the look on Hangman's face prevented you from doing so.
Lingering around the desk and acting like you were doing something waiting for everyone to leave while Bradley acted like he was slowly walking out of the room. Of course as soon as the last person was out which was Hangman Bradley turned to face you with a dopey smile.
"Are you okay?" He asked once he stood in front of you pointing towards the screen. "I mean like with what's going on."
"Yeah no I'm fine." Shrugging your shoulders trying to act nonchalant. "It was just a little intense to hear out loud ya know?"
"Is that why you didn't want to lead this mission?" He couldn't help but ask and honestly you weren't mad he even asked.
"There's a couple reasons I didn't want to lead." Your voice softer than you expected and he knew exactly what you meant.
"You knew it was going to be tough." It wasn't a question and he knew just what you were thinking and telling yourself.
"I just can't lead another failed mission." Shaking your head as you looked away from him.
"Are you ever going to tell me what happened?" He genuinely wanted to know and hear about what you had faced although the thought of hearing what happened to you broke his heart.
"Soon." Was all you said as you gave him a pathetic attempt of a smile and he knew it was hard for you. "Are you worried about this mission?"
"Nah I'm not too worried about it." Looking over at him with an are you serious look which made him laugh. "I'm not besides I doubt he'll even pick me."
"Why he wouldn't he pick you?"
"A man who pulls my papers for whatever reason is most likely to not pick that said person to fly a dangerous mission." His tone was condescending and matter of factly.
"You're an amazing pilot Bradley of course he'll pick you." As much as you hated saying that out loud it was true he was a good pilot and cared about his fellow pilots. "Especially since I'm the note keeper."
"Are you now?" Quirking an eyebrow at you as he stood directly in front of you crossing your arms over your chest.
"Yeah so watch how you talk to me." Pointing a finger at his chest as you tried to act tough.
"I'll be on my best behavior I promise." Putting his hands up in mock surrender making you giggle at his silly side that you loved.
"I'd hate to kick your ass in the sky again." You joked making his mouth open and eyes go wide trying to hide his smile.
"Wow you gotta do me like that sweetheart." He acted like he was hurt but his hands grabbed your sides and pulled your body closer to his making you gasp. "That wasn't very nice of you."
His voice lowered as you placed your hands on his chest when you saw he was leaning forward. Just when you thought you two were going to kiss what sounded like boots echoed down the hall to the room you two were at.
Pulling apart from each other so fast to see Hangman's cocky grin enter in the room. Standing there looking at the two of you like he just interrupted something personal and intimate. Waiting for him to say something smart or annoying or ask a stupid question.
"You're up next Rooster." He nudged his head to the side as he kept his focus solely on him and not you. "With Fanboy and Payback."
"Phoenix, Bob and Coyote just got in the air they want to get you geared up and go over some things" Thanking your lucky stars they didn't start yet so you could observe them and have notes for everybody.
The last thing you wanted was to get so distracted you mess something up, and they dismiss you from this mission. That would be embarrassing and an absolute shame to your family name. Not wanting to disappoint your father, Maverick or Bradley.
Sighing with relief that at least he wasn't going to be doing the first course with Hangman. Bradley nodded as he left your side giving you a reassuring smile, and slowed his steps as him and Hangman came face to face before both of them took off down the hall.
Letting out a loud exhale as you gathered your things to watch the other pilots and take your notes of everything. This was the part you really didn't want to do since you hated judging someone else on their flying capabilities.
While you were taking notes of everybody and marking down what they did wrong or things they need to work on you were oblivious to a certain someone in the back watching you. His eyes kept glancing over at you especially when Bradley got in the air.
Once everyone was done Maverick looked over your notes, and called all the pilots back to the training room. He looked disappointed and frustrated, and everyone had their heads bowed in shame of course except Hangman.
Bradley was the only one to get his target and get out of there, but he was about a minute late. You knew Maverick would be watching as well so you couldn't lie. You knew he was going to lecture every single person in that room even Bradley.
Asking everyone why they were dead and looking at your notes to see what they were doing wrong. All of them beating themselves up about it for failing even when it was just the first attempt. They all hated failing even if it was just practice that's what any pilots feels when flying.
"Why are you dead?" He asked Bradley who just stared at him. "You're team leader up there so why are you and your team dead?"
"Sir he's the only one who made it to the target." Phoenix jumped in to defend him which you were kind of thankful for.
"Yeah a minute late." Maverick fired back not taking any excuses. "He gave the enemy time to shoot him down and he is dead."
"You don't know that." Bradley fought back not putting up with the lecture. "You can't know that."
Hearing Maverick say out loud that Bradley was dead had your insides churning. It was this horrible feeling that took over your whole body and this thick blanket of darkness consumed your body. Hopefully nobody was paying attention to you and couldn't see it on your face.
"Jesus you're not flying fast enough." Hangman piped up from his seat leaning his hand back as he groaned. "You don't have a second to waste up there."
"We made it to the target." Bradley chose to ignore Hangman as he continued to stare down Maverick.
"And enemy aircraft had time to intercept you on your way out." Maverick was beginning to get angry at Bradley now thinking he wasn't taking this seriously.
"Then it's a dog fight." Maybe Bradley wasn't taking any of this seriously or how dangerous this mission was.
"Not against fifth generation fighters." He scoffed at him in disbelief.
"We would still have a chance." Bradley just couldn't seem to be wrong and had to be right.
"In an F-18." Maverick started to argue Hangman looking between both men amused.
"It's not the plane sir." Bradley cut him off and you knew exactly where he was going with this and you hated hearing them talking like this to each other. "It's the pilot."
"Exactly."
Maverick realized as soon as those words left his mouth what Bradley was really trying to say. Both of them staring at each other silently exchanging words nobody else could hear. The room was so quiet you could drop a feather and hear it.
You couldn't help but wonder if that's how Bradley felt with your failed mission and losing your wingman. If that was somehow your fault not being there for him to get him out of their alive. You were the team leader up there and you are responsible for every life up there.
It felt like a slap to your face to hear that coming from his mouth. Your bottom lip trembling as you fought hard to not cry in front of everyone. Bradley looked at your reaction and he knew exactly what he just said also said to you.
His face softened wishing he could take it back but it was too late, and it was raise too many eyebrows. Watching as his Adam's apple bobbed when he gulped turning his gaze away from you back to Maverick.
"There's more than one way to fly this mission." He kept arguing wanting to prove to Maverick he could do this.
"You really don't get it do you." Hangman spoke up again making you shut your eyes wanting this to all be over. "A pilot who flies like Maverick or Frostbite here, or they don't come back."
Glancing towards Phoenix and Bob silently telling them they were the latter. They both scoffed and shook their heads not wanting to see into his web.
"Now look I don't mean to criticize your just conservative that's all." Hangman was setting the trap and you just hoped Bradley didn't fall for it.
"Lieutenant." Maverick started to interrupt but neither of them were having it.
"We're going into a combat mission nobody has ever seen." He looked back to Bradley who refused to make eye contact with him. "Not even Maverick or Frostbite here."
"There's no time to be thinking about the past." Glancing at Maverick and then back at Bradley who was now glaring over at him.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He knew exactly what he meant but he just dared him to say something so he could find any excuse to hit him.
"Rooster." Maverick warned him knowing exactly what he was thinking cause he thought it too.
"I can't be the only one who knows that Maverick here flew with his old man." Soon as those words left his mouth you don't know who was more angry Bradley or Maverick.
The tension in the room was so thick you could literally cut it with a knife. This wasn't looking good and you could see it ending with Bradley punching Hangman or attempting to. He was holding himself back as you watched him squeeze the life out of his arm rests.
"Lieutenant that's enough."Maverick tried controlling the situation when he knew where this was headed.
"Or that Maverick was flying when his old man-" Next thing you know Bradley went flying out of his seat directly towards Hangman.
"Hey hey that's enough." Maverick shouted as he stood between the two men.
"You son of a bitch." Bradley screamed throwing his hand towards him.
His face was red and the veins in his neck were now protruding out. Phoenix and Bob held him back as much as they could. Hangman stood there with a smirk on his face knowing what he did.
The men standing in front of Hangman looked for nervous about Bradley possibly hitting them. Standing by the desk just wanting to comfort Bradley and tell him it'll be okay, but you knew that wouldn't be a good idea.
It hurt you to see him like this and that he let Hangman unwind him like that. If there wasn't anybody else in this room Bradley probably would have kicked his ass, and Hangman would have put up a fight.
"I'm cool I'm cool." Putting his hands up as he chuckled was stepping up to Bradley who was still being held back.
You figured the two of them would dish it out on their own time, but you never expected Hangman to pull something like this. This was not at all how you expected this day to go, and quite frankly it was tiring. You've always hated listening especially watching people fighting.
The two of them staring each other down Bradley eyes wide like a vicious animal who was caged and ready to be let out. Looking the man up and down before he turned his head in your direction Bradley following his line of sight.
"Oh I haven't forgotten about you." Everyone's eyes on you now as you stood there like a deer caught in the headlights. "How can we listen to someone like you?"
"Jake leave her out of this." Both Maverick and Bradley warned him although you didn't know exactly what he was going to say. "Leave her alone."
Surely he didn't know about your failed mission since only a couple knew about it. Maybe he was going to bring up something else, surely he wouldn't do that to you.
Everyone was looking from him to you with confused looks on their faces. All of them wondering what he could possibly have to say right now. It was something you really wanted to forget about, and it didn't look like that was the case.
"How can we trust someone who let her wingman die." An audible gasp left your lips as you felt a tear run down your cheek. "And two of her fellow pilots severely injured."
"Jake that's enough." Hearing Bradley's distinct voice bellowing to Hangman as a warning watching as he struggled against arms that were gripping him.
"Lieutenant Seresin leave now." Maverick commanded him as he looked to you and then the blonde. "That's an order."
"You know he's not cut out for this mission." Turning his attention back to Bradley who finally left your trembling figure standing alone. "You and her know I'm right."
Looking at you briefly as you scrunched your face up watching as he walked away but not before getting right in Bradley's face tempting him one more time. Thankfully he resisted and you could see he was calming down.
"You're all dismissed." Maverick said and everyone scurried out of there glancing at both you and Bradley.
Once everyone was out of the room you let out a loud exhale that you didn't even know you were holding. A rack of sobs took over you as you clutched your chest in pain and Bradley wasted no time in running over to you holding you in his arms brushing your hand with his hand.
"Shh I got you Y/N." He whispered in your ear as you kissed your head while you cried into his chest. "I've got you darling it's okay."

a/n — kind of loving anything boyfriend!gyu these days, expect more. yippee.
💽 ( SONG_REC. ) “LAST TRAIN AT 25 O'CLOCK” — LAMP
Tumblr media
beomgyu, who loves to cuddle up to you on a particularly cold night, burying his face in your chest as he begs asks you to play with his hair. beomgyu, who watches the expression on your face as you watch your fav show on your laptop, often forgetting about him (absolutely freezing to death) as you reach over towards the bag of snacks towards your side. and he mumbles all grumpy, complaining he's “this close to frostbite,” pausing the show by himself so he could earn a reaction, already glaring at you when you look down to reason with him.
and beomgyu, who trots over to you in the kitchen with a mischievous smile as the snowy rain pitter patters against the windowpane, watching attentively while he laces his fingers around your tummy, allowing you to pull him around the kitchen as you cook. and sometimes, he'd sneak a handful of flour while you're too busy paying attention to the stove— blowing a cloud onto your face and clutching his stomach as he falls to the ground, laughing as a pair of unimpressed eyes on a white, blank face stare back. and he returns with a wet towel, wiping your face and cooing at how cute you look, always so easy to annoy.
and snowy nights where he refuses to leave the house, cuddling up into a human burrito in one of those blankets that look like flatbread— grounded on his spot on the couch as you pull and tug his legs, fully clothed in warm clothes. and sometimes, he sends a kick to your grip around his ankles, making you fall flat on your behind with the weight of your layers. and he giggles at you and your lost face, before realizing he's supposedly giving you the silent treatment, and goes back to focusing on the television. and you stand to your feet, unzipping your jacket(s) and lean over from behind the couch, wrapping your arms around him. and you start peppering him with kisses, mumbling in between how you wish you could spend chrismas eve with him outside, running your fingers through his hair and letting your nose brush against his as you lean in for another kiss. and you'd get the boy dizzy— lips curling into a hazy smile as he nods, standing to his feet to get a jacket and a beanie, hearts circling around his head like a birds do around a cartoon character.
and you'd wake up a snowy morning to beomgyu lazily pressing a peck to your forehead, eyebrows furrowed as he whispered something about running an errand. and you just shrugged, glancing over to the clock blinking 4AM as you turned over and fell back asleep. and then waking up hours later to texts from beomgyu — a picture of an obnoxious penis drawn on the neighbors car in the snow, and a grumpy text that ended with a period, stating breakfast would be late because of the traffic he's stuck in.
and beomgyu's loud voice echoing in the house as he played games on his computer, the fresh scent of cookie dough wafting around his room as he stuffed his face with the gingerbread cookies you were baking. and him wearing a small christmas hat, the white pom-pom drooping over the side of his head as he screamed “VICTORY!!!!!” and standing to his feet to wiggle a small dance— stopping mid dance to see you, standing by the doorframe with a camera and a cookie in your hand.
and you tricking beomgyu— knowing a game he wanted for the longest time and purposely packing socks into a box the perfect size of his gift, so it appeared as if you got him what he wanted. and you pulled out a video camera as he tore open the wrapping paper, the expression on his face dropping as he pulled out a pair of socks with ramen designs on them, asking him eagerly, “WHAT DO YOU THINK?” and you'd stifle your giggles as you'd record him trying to give you a happy face, masking his disappointment with fake enthusiasm, “its— it's the perfect size.....” and you'd tell him to look behind the couch, following him as he'd glance behind and see a console he was trying to save for months, holding his gift while his jaw went slack, “WHERE DID YOU GET THIS!?”
and beomgyu squeezing you through a huge crowd so you'd be able to see the countdown to new years— his hands gripping yours tightly as he shot you back smiles and whispered jokes only you could hear, his warm breath and stupid humor making you crack up and receive looks from people around, but it's not like the both of you cared about that besides each other.
and watching the fireworks with beomgyu— him whispering that's, “exactly what my farts look like,” and watching you with heart shaped pupils, laughing at his childish jokes, slapping his arm in attempts to shut him up and clutching your stomach. and maybe grabbing ice cream afterwards, him wiping his ice cream off his nose after every lick and offering you one— and pushing it to your face as you came closer for a taste, making your entire mouth wet from the ice cream. and he'd laugh and click photos of you while you stood with a poker face, glancing to the cashier pressing their lips together as they stifled a chuckle.
and beomgyu, who'd take pictures of the two of you in matching hello kitty pajamas and making you his profile picture on every platform. just beomgyu, who secretly loves to watch your features relax as you drift off to sleep while you hide your face in his neck. the snow was drizzling and blurry blobs of fairy lights blinked outside the window, as his fingers rubbed the skin on your hips— tuning out the boring christmas specials to focus on you, falling asleep in his arms.

Hi there! Regarding the tag game; I'd like to hear about the 'Danny is Jason's Parole Officer' WIP, please!
Ah yeah that is a silly one it starts like this:
Walker looked down at the disgusting pink skinned felon. Glistening red flowed down from the split eyebrow and over the swollen shut right eye, down the cheek to drip onto the ground; blood, corrosive life liquid. Like every time since he first laid eyes on the law breaker he was repulsed by this one’s stubborn choice to wear a meat suit. Every moment he refused to show his true form was another year laid on his sentence.
The unhurt left eye glared at him and his teeth were bared in a snarl like an animal. Walker did not doubt that if his officers didn’t keep a firm grip on him that he would attack Walker himself. It wouldn’t be the first time. He doubted anyone on staff could claim to not have felt this particular felon’s punches and kicks. Walker could still feel a soreness in his jaw from this latest escape, but unlike the felon he wasn’t wearing a disgusting meat suit so his damage didn’t show.
“Take him to his cell.” Walker waved them away. It had taken much too long to recapture the abomination this time. He’d managed to free Vortex during the latest riot and the chaos that had wrought had made them lose the immediate trail.
Both Vortex and Walker’s newest core-ache had escaped much further than was good.
The accursed half-breed had of course been delighted when he brought Vortex back, full of digs about Walker’s ability to do his job. Walker’s threats to put him in a cell where he belonged was just met with a laugh and challenge. One he hadn’t been able to take up since he needed the special cell for the escaped convict who started this mess.
But now he was recaptured and Walker could finally go to the council meeting.
Oo o oO
Walker finished delivering his report, it was most dissatisfying to look at the numbers. While they had managed to recapture all but a few spirits, some they had lost track of - Walker might have to petition Skulker to bring them back, he did not look forward to that. Break outs had risen exponentially since he first arrested the abomination. The situation was untenable, but it was not in his nature to give up.
The esteemed council members Frostbite of the Far Frozen and Pandora of the Acropolis looked at him in concern. It was Frostbite who ended up speaking.
“Perhaps, if this inmate troubles you so, it is a matter for the Great One.”
“That delinquent should be imprisoned right alongside him. I do not need his help,” Walker snarled
Both Frostbite and Pandora sent him displeased disappointed looks at that and Walker had to look away.
“What I meant, was that you could put this prisoner in the Great One’s custody and it would be his responsibility to make sure he doesn’t cause trouble.”
Walker huffed and stood up. “I will consider it.”
A few hours later Walker was frozen at the edge of his haunt to see his prison, his lair, once more in chaos.
Something cracked inside him.
Fine.
The abomination would be the half-breed’s problem.
So this is the beginning of the fic, what follows is Danny helping Jason home to the living realm and then as a joke claiming he's Jason's parole officer - a joke that might be taken a bit too far for the paranoid batfamily...

The Reach
HEHEHHHEHHEEH 🗣️🗣️
for finish your fics friday I'm putting this under the cut since there are minor spoilers for Chapter 4 of the alpha build of Shepherds of Haven. It's a lot more than five sentences, yet not even everything I wrote yesterday and today! Kyrahlise has crush on Blade in this one, but that won't stop her from doing or saying what she wants.
The slight nod she got in response was more than she was expecting. Unlike the faint frown when Blade glanced at the open window. “The angle of the sun cast a glare on the window, which means I can’t see the colors of the mountains accurately. Kyrahlise wasn’t going to apologize for opening the window. Not when the chances of the sun being out again were rather slim. At least she’d been able to block in the shapes of the mountains when she was on the roof. So the change in angle wasn’t too much of a hindrance. “It’s well below freezing.” A different glare than before was levied at her. “I’m not going to get frostbite or die because of the window being open. And in case you forgot, I’ve managed to escape either of those fates for the past 16 years. Despite having no one hovering over me to fuss about it.” She thought the corner of his mouth twitched slightly. “You are still quite stubborn.” He’d said much the same when she told him to stop beating himself up about not being with her in the caves. A slow smirk spread across Kyrahlise’s face. “You'll just have to get used to it, Blade, because that won't change."
Set after the main events of Chapter 4, Kyrah is just trying to paint the mountains on the one day the sun finally shows it's face. Of course Blade did his mother hen thing about her sitting on the roof while drawing. She comes down to mollify him, but she isn't going to give up finishing her painting while the light is just right, lol! In my mind it's Chapters 3 and 4 where she starts to get rather confused by his behavior towards her. Between her confusion and how protective Blade gets, she starts to get frustrated with him. This won't be the only time she low-key tells him off for it. I have this headcanon that he actually likes the fact she will stand up to him and disagree with him. (Though I don't know how much of a headcanon it is, because I think there is a lot of textual evidence for it.) To me, he sees it as a sign she isn't afraid of him, and trusts and respects him enough to be honest.

Just a quick ask as Spotify hit me with a song that would be perfect to write to:
An IceMav child after a breakup? Maybe with protective team after said EX approaches her at the Hard Deck?
Said song was Princesses Don't Cry btw
A/N: YES! Sorry it took me time to get to! You know how I've been with writing lately. Ice Had been sick in this but he is better now and can talk, I want protective father dialogue!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You walked into The Hard Deck, taking out your headphones. You had sat in your car, just trying to get up the strength to face everyone after your break up. You were the daughter of Admiral Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky and Captain Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell, you had to be strong for them and for your own reputation, you were Lt. Y/n 'Frostbite' Mitchell, one of the coldest and most collected pilots out there with a dangerous streak. You couldn't be found falling apart over someone, especially not a pilot who flunked out of Top Gun.
You pulled on one of your famous 'ice cold' masks and looked around, finding your little family in their usual corner. You saw both of your fathers watching Rooster and Bob play a game of pool, not far off Phoenix and Hangman were playing darts while Fanboy, Coyote, and Payback watched them.
You made your way to them, placing kisses on your dads cheeks as you came up from behind. "Hi dad, papa" you murmured softly, "Hey sweetheart, glad you decided to join us" Pete told you. You just squeezed both their hands, the team knew about your break up with James, he had cheated on you and said some hurtful things when you had caught them.
You went to Phoenix and Hangman, happily accepting their hugs and started to banter, your face softening and you smiled for the first time in days. You took the dart and laughed as Hangman and Phoenix both covered your eyes, you threw the dart and Coyote whooped, “Bullseye Frostbite! How do you do it?” he asked. When they pulled their hands away, you mockingly bowed “I’m just that good” you shrugged while laughing. “Okay, let’s put it to the test. Close your eyes we’ll spin you and then you have to throw!” Jake laughed, you chuckled and let them, they covered your eyes just in case. “I’m facing it, right? I don’t want to hit a poor civilian by accident!” you chuckled, “You’re good Frosty” Natasha promised. You tossed it and everyone groaned, “Impossible! Literally impossible” Fanboy said. You looked and saw another bullseye, “Yes! I have officially beat Hangman! You weren’t able to do that!” you laughed. What you didn’t know was everyone was keeping an eye on you, they were all relieved to see you so happy compared to how you were when you were before.
Just as you were about to go to Bob and Rooster, someone cut in front of you and made you bump into them, they grabbed your shoulders to steady you. You looked up to see James and your face grew cold, “What do you want?” you huffed. He smirked, “Thought you would be happy to see me. Word is, you have been sad since I left you” he grinned, flashing you the smile you used to love but now it made your insides crawl with disgust.
Before you could open your mouth, Rooster was pushing you behind him and so was Hangman, both standing taller then him. Both your fathers came over and everyone else surrounded you, protecting you from him. “What do you want James?” Iceman asked, glaring at the former sailor. James had separated from the Navy a month ago so he no longer officially held rank. “Getting a protection unit Mitchell, really? Can’t handle me on your own? Pathetic.” He spit, going to walk away when both Maverick and Hangman grabbed him, “What did you just say to my daughter? Are you really prepared to try to belittle her surrounded by people who are superior officers then what you could have ever been?” He asked, Hangman taking over with “Because if you are, I will happily bring you outside and show you why you could never truly cut it in the Navy” he said, itching for a fight with the guy who made his best friend cry. James ran out of the bar with his tail tucked between his legs.
After they made sure he left the property, everyone turned to make sure you were okay. Both your fathers holding onto you, “You okay pumpkin?” Iceman whispered in your ear, “Fine papa, just surprised” you admitted softly. Maverick tilted his head, “Why?” he asked you. “Because I wasn’t expecting everyone to protect me that way dad. It’s nice that we have this big of a family, just like I always begged you and Papa for as a kid” you grinned. You laughed as the other pilots pulled you in for a big group hug, squeezing you tightly. You had a protective family that you wouldn’t change for the world.

Fandom (dpxdc) Thought 2.5:
Context: Halfa!Jason Todd, ghosts communicate through emotions, liminals can do it to a lesser extent
Jason unknowingly keeps trying to push emotions to his family, not realizing he’s trying to communicate. With his family’s awkward outward reactions combined with the lack of response to his core, he feels isolated. Even thought it’s an accident on both ends, it has an effect on him.
To make it a bit worse, the batfam is liminal with all the death in the family and Lazarus exposure. They accidentally reject the emotional conversation from Jason’s core, so neither party knows why Jason is so on edge, but they don’t push for answers.
Danny (bad reveal, good reveal, literally Just Vibing in Gotham—whatever works) hears Damian’s core humming or trying to trill/chirp, and of course he has to help the sick liminal/baby-halfa core. With a LOT of bonding, Danny gets Damian to drink some healthy ectoplasm, and he feels a lot better. He even brings Jason over, knowing the connection to the Pit was stronger in his older brother and wanting to extend an olive branch after the… everything.
Once Jason starts feeling better and Frostbite is brought into the conversation, Damian realizes he can’t hide this from Bruce forever. And, with how many people in his family—hell, his contact list—had been exposed to the Lazarus pit, or gotten caught up in time shenanigans, or had been killed, it was best everyone knew. With Danny’s only request being “say I’m a meta instead of a ghost,” Damian goes to his father’s study.
(Forgive the ooc/awkwardness I don’t normally write fanfic lmao)
Damian entered Bruce’s study. “Father. I have something to inform you of. We have made a terrible mistake with Jason.”
Bruce’s train of thought pauses at hearing his youngest call Jason “Jason” instead of “Todd.” He looks up from his WE paperwork. “What is it, chum? Is he okay? Are you okay?”
“We are both well, Father. It is…” He grimaced and visibly tensed. “You have to promise to not be angry with me.”
Bruce raised an eyebrow at hearing his youngest say such a “childish” phrase. “I will do my best. I’ll at least let you finish talking first.”
He knew this was the right thing to say when Damian relaxed slightly. Therapy was a wonder.
“Um…”
Oh. Oh no. Damian Al-Ghul-Wayne was not one for uncertainty—especially not in a conversation he started.
“Go on, lad, I’m listening,” Bruce said in as gentle a tone as he could (without getting too patronizing for his proud little Robin).
“I met a meta of a ghostly nature. He assessed that there was Lazarus Water in my body, and when he replaced it—“
“He what.”
“You said you’d let me finish.”
Bruce pulled out a notepad, jotting down bullet points to return to.
[Pit in Damian?? REPLACED?? Unknown ghost meta]
“Once he replaced it with the healthy alternative, I found…” He swallowed. “I found that I could more easily accept and show love. My time in the League played a part, of course. However, the Lazarus Pit had an effect on me as well, latching onto my desire to be worthy of a place here. I essentially have a rudimentary organ that runs on and communicates via emotion. Jason does as well, and his is stronger than mine. We have unknowingly been rejecting this more emotional form of communication, making him feel unaccepted and misunderstood.”
[emotional organ??? Accidental rejection? Possible to learn emotion communication?]
Damian shifted his weight under his father’s intense and worried Interrogation Glare™️. “Now that we know the problem, and are attempting to rectify it, we feel much better. Due to everyone around us being exposed to death, the Pit, or time travel, Jason, the meta, and myself thought it best if everyone was made aware. Our meta friend has a doctor who has specialized in this organ and the culture surrounding it for decades. He can apparently better help us manage our health alongside a regular physician.”
[meta doctor. Contact… everyone]
Bruce set his pen down and didn’t move for a few moments. “Are you finished?”
Damian nodded. “Are you angry?”
Bruce let out a long breath, closing his eyes. “I can never tell. Fear and rage feel a lot alike when it comes to protecting my family and my city. You’ve gone against a lot of my training, which displeases me, but I still love you, and I always will. We’ll see what your punishment is when I get more details. I don’t want to punish you for good outcomes, but the methods are important, especially in our work and at your age—“
“You can stop now, Father. I understand now what Drake means when he says he doesn’t know how to respond to the sincerity therapy has given you. I’ll gather the family for a debrief.”
Bruce opened his eyes to see his youngest wincing a little at the emotional vulnerability, but something else caught his attention.
His son’s green eyes faded to blue.

Heya Halfa!
I'm watch Hercules for the first time in a while and something about it made me think about your WonderBat dcdp fic, and gave me an idea to share with you for a fic with Diana being Danny's bio mom, could be WonderBat or not, idk, I'm still very much on a Danny/Jason kick so if it's not WonderBat that's open.
But essentially Danny was adopted by the Fenton's and maybe a checkup with Frostbite has Danny realizing there's more to his powers than being a halfa, but he doesn't know what exactly? So, I'm thinking he just tells the Fentons he wants to find his bio parents, not being out as Phantom, but Idk, and i trust your thoughts.
Basically, just Hercules as inspiration, not trying to stick to its plot, tho doing Dead on Main and Jason as Meg ajfjkshda it would be quite funny
Idk, just had to share this with you, hope it brings you some of the joy the thought brought me!!
Tumblr media
Also have a pic of my roomie's bunny
GOSH I love Disney's Hercules! Hades is an entire mood, and I love him for it. Definitely one of my fave villains ever. But now that you mention the idea...
If we did base it off on bloodlines, where Danny is taken as a child (and like Hercules was taken from his parents in the movie), then we could always make this a Super-Wonder... Wonder-Super? Superman and Wonder Woman ship, but their relationship was very brief. This was before he and Lois had gotten together and got married. And they do canonically date sometimes, and even had a child together in at least one universe, so it wouldn't be super weird.
So basically, Danny grows up a quasi-god (quarter-god? Ugh, that's confusing-) and half-Kryptonian. Except due to his life style and exposure to ectoplasm, his Kryptonian powers don't kick in like a normal half-Kryptonians would. But he does have a measure of super hearing- which gets diagnosed as another symptom of his ADHD later. And he does have freeze-breath! Which is why people aren't super surprised if they catch some cold mist coming out of his mouth when he becomes a halfa, they're pretty sure he's just always been like that?
But for one reason or another, Danny leaves Amity Park for an extended amount of time. Oh! His family takes a vacation to a beach, somewhere nice and sunny. And then Danny gets irritated about something, or maybe there's just a fly bothering him and he glares at it from a distance only to shoot red laser eyes at it and promptly freaks the fuck out. His ectoplasm has never been red before!
He runs off to Frostbite and the Far Frozen as soon as he can, begging for the yeti to help him because there must be something wrong with him! Frostbite is awfully confused at first, and then he asks Danny if he showed any other habits or behaviors before he'd become a halfa. And so Danny explains how he could hear things most people couldn't, but he'd been diagnosed as neurodivergent, and that wasn't exactly uncommon, and then he explained how technology always worked a little funny around him even before his accident and that's why his parents never thought anything was off when their inventions were wonky around him now (he doesn't realize he has lightning manipulation from his bio!mom's side, thus accidentally zapping devices every once in a while), and a handful of other things and it all culminates into this:
Frostbite is pretty sure Danny has never been fully human.
Which would thus lead Danny onto a journey of self-discovery and self-fulfillment and oh yeah, there's a ghost Minotaur that wants to rip his head off his body and they've got a hostage to go along with them. In Danny's opinion, Red Hood makes for a very poor hostage, but he's not about to tell them that either.
I could probably go on eventually, but I adore this idea, so thank you very much for sharing it! :D <3<3<3

Maverick had just finished thanking Penny for the drink she placed in front of him when someone slid onto the stool next to him. As he took a sip of his beer, he sighed, “Frostbite.”
His goddaughter stared daggers at him as you asked harshly, “What the hell are you doing here, Mav?”
“I’m not here for trouble. I’m just here to have a drink and catch up with an old friend.” He waved his beer in Penny’s direction.
But you continued to glare at him. “You need to go. Now. Rooster’s going to be here any minute.”
“And? He is free to come in here same as me.”
You sighed loudly and Maverick could see you were trying not to lose your temper. “Listen, I have done everything I can over the years to help smooth things over between you two. I keep you updated on the big stuff going on in his life, I send you pictures, hell, I even invited you to our wedding behind his back. But he doesn’t want to see you and he’s for sure not ready to forgive you.”
“Well, I don’t know what to tell you because he’s going to have to find a way to deal with it.” He paused for a beat before adding, “I’m your new instructor.”
You swore under your breath. “You can’t be serious! This? This is how you think you can make things better? By forcing him to see you every day? To make him call you ‘sir’ and be required to listen to your every order? He’s just going to resent you more.”
“I know you think I’m here for him, but I’m really not. I didn’t even know either of you were recruits until I showed up.” Maverick sighed. “Your dad asked me to be here. Well, more like he ordered me to be here.”
You rolled your eyes. “Of course he did. Why doesn’t it surprise me that your reappearance has something to do with the Admiral? Well, he could have at least given me some kind of heads up.”
Maverick chuckled as he thought back to his text from Ice just moments ago. “Would you have still come? Would either one of you really have defied orders by not showing up?” You didn’t say anything, but that was enough of an answer. “Rooster’s going to find out I’m here tomorrow. Might as well rip that band-aid off now.”
Some of the frustration and anger slipped from your face as your tone took on a more desperate edge. “Please, Mav. I haven’t seen my husband in almost six months. I don’t want the first night we are back together to be spoiled by him getting angry at you. I know this situation sucks, I really do, but I am begging you, don’t let him see you tonight. Just for tonight.”
Maverick took a deep breath. “Okay. I’ll make sure he doesn’t see me tonight. But first thing tomorrow morning there’ll be no hiding it.”
You wrapped your arms around Maverick’s neck. “That’s all I’m asking for! Thank you!” You placed a soft kiss on his cheek. “And it’s great to see you. I’ve missed you.”
“Missed you too, kiddo.”
You rested your head against his shoulder, your arms still around his neck. “And I am trying, I really am. But he’s still so hurt over what you did. I don’t know why you did it, but I know you and you would’ve only pulled his papers if you had a good reason. But Rooster….. I don’t think he’s ever going to see it that way. Not until you tell him the truth.”
Maverick nodded. “I know. And I appreciate everything you’ve done to try and keep me in your lives over the years. If it wasn’t for you and your dad….” He ran his thumb over the ring on your left hand.
“I’m glad you came that day. Even if Rooster was mad, even if it was only for a minute. It wouldn’t have been the same without you.”
“My two godchildren were getting married. Did you honestly think I would miss that for the world?” Maverick chuckled softly before sighing. “One day this will all be worked out. I promise.”
“I hope so.” You stood up and slipped your hand from his. “But for now, just remember. If something happens while we’re all here, at the end of the day, I’m his wingman for life and I’ll always have his back.”
“Noted.” You started to walk away but Maverick called after you. “Frostbite!” You turned back to face him. “I’ll see you bright and early for training tomorrow.”
Sarcastically, you clicked your heels to attention and gave him a two-fingered salute. “Sir, yes, sir.” Then the two-finger salute became a one-finger salute as you grinned and walked back to the other trainees.
Maverick shook his head as he took another sip of his beer. In some ways, you were just like your father was at that age, and that thought made him smile as he remembered the early days of his friendship with Iceman. Back when they were on equal footing and Maverick didn’t always need him to save his career.
Suddenly, his phone buzzed, stirring him from his thoughts. Looking down, he sighed. Speak of the devil.
Considering the strongly-worded text I just received from my daughter, I’m guessing she knows?
What did you expect? I know why you didn’t warn me, but you could have at least warned her.
I didn’t want her to worry before she had to know. And it wouldn’t have changed anything. They both would have still come.
He was just about to respond when he heard your voice scream, “Rooster!”
Maverick’s head shot up as he saw you dart across the room and throw yourself into your husband’s open arms, your legs wrapping around his waist as he lifted you up and held you tightly. He watched for a moment as Rooster ran his hand over your hair and murmured something to you before pulling you into a passionate kiss.
Maverick smiled softly to himself. It felt incredible to actually see the two of you together standing before him. You had been sending him the occasional picture or update for years, but it didn’t compare to witnessing your love and happiness in person. He had known when he pulled Rooster’s application to the Naval academy all those years ago that it would damage their relationship. But he had hoped that one-day Rooster would forgive him. Yet, so far, there was very little progress on that front. And to make matters worse, losing Rooster had also meant essentially losing you. From the moment you were born, you and Rooster had been attached at the hip. And when you had been forced to choose between your godfather and your (at the time) best friend, it didn’t surprise Maverick who you had sided with.
He had missed out on so much of both of your lives because of his action, and in the end, it had been for nothing. Rooster had still managed to get into the academy and become a pilot after all. But now, his career was set back years and Maverick had lost two of the most important people in his life. However, it had been the last wish of a dying friend and Maverick could never regret his choice because of that.
But as he stared at the two of you still locked in your embrace, he wondered how much more he would have to miss and (thinking about the upcoming mission) if there really would be time to make things right.

I request for scorpion vs sub zero! (From mortal kombat obv)
Oooo~ A classic! I decided to do Sub Zero pre Noob Saibot transformation for this :).
Yandere! Scorpion vs Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) Concept
Pairing: Romantic - Rivalry
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Rivalry, Violence, Blood mention, Murder, Kidnapping, Burning, Frostbite mention, Possessive behavior, Manipulation.
Tumblr media
- These two, especially if we're walking about the older Sub-Zero, are already ruthless without sharing the same attachment to someone.
- They never got along in the first place and just want each other dead.
- In fact, Scorpion died once by him so of course he wants revenge.
- It definitely worsens when they both fall for you.
- What's worse than one ruthless ninja pursuing you?
- Two ruthless ninjas that would kill the other just to have you.
- Sub-Zero would use his ice to cage you at some points.
- While Scorpion prefers to cage you in a ring of fire.
- They'd both abuse their skills to keep you for themselves.
- They'd even use them to counter the other and ruin their plans for having you.
- It's hard to say who's the best to be with as they're both quite violent.
- Scorpion would probably be overprotective and possessive in a way due to him assuming Sub-Zero killed his whole clan and you're all he cares about now.
- Sub-Zero would just be possessive and may even treat you as a pretty pet for him to look at.
- They both care for you and adore you, it's just both ninjas feel they can't have the other near you.
- They'd do everything to eliminate the other.
- You may even be dragged into their rivalry due to one of them getting tired of the other and kidnapping you.
- They may treat you similarly, though.
- Once one of them has you they'd dress you up in a similar fashion to them.
- For Scorpion your clothes resemble fire.
- For Sub-Zero your clothes have a pattern of ice.
- To them it's kind of a sign of showing the other they claim you as their soon-to-be spouse.
- Expect blood all the time.
- It's Mortal Kombat, if they got into a fight and somehow didn't kill each other, they definitely will need medical attention.
- They only grow closer to you if you give them such attention.
- Scorpion would be one to burn you as a way to mark you in case Sub-Zero takes you.
- Sub-Zero may give you frostbite to do the same thing.
- They're both not the most affectionate people due to their backgrounds.
- But they'd do whatever they could to keep you if they're in love with you.
- If you preferred one of them over the other, than the one you like more is in for trouble.
- The idea of you liking one of them more than the other drives them insane.
- Leading you to see one of them covered in the other's blood, glaring at you.
- They'd both be manipulative yet they are also very forceful.
- Intimidation is something they rely on often.
- Overall, both of them falling for you is a blood bath.
- In the end, there will be only one victor to claim you.
- One of ice, or one of fire.

THE PREPARATION FOR THE BANQUET
was going on at full speed, everyone made sure that every single thing was perfect and who did this everyone contain? The fatui... the people who take up most of Snezhnaya's population and also the only people who actually have love and respect for their dear archon because unlike them... the normal citizens couldn't care less about the Tsaritsa.
Their feeling for their archon was the same as what their archon felt for them. Even little kids who looked up to her were shut down by their parents. "The Tsaritsa's banquet is going to be so huge!!" One of the kids exclaimed and jumped with excitement. "What all things do you think they will have? Will we have a nice time?!" One of the other kids asked only to be faced with the harsh reality by his older sibling who glared at the palace from a distance "We by no means can even step foot there unless you become one of their agents and get ready to give up on your life for her. You will never even see her face so kill that excitement of yours. It's useless."
The other two kids showed their sadness and glanced one last time at the palace before turning around and bumping into someone with a larger frame than them. "AH- Sorry!" They apologized and looked at the person they bumped into unknowingly and the person's attire was enough for them to step back and look at each other with fear.
The oldest of the three stepped forward while the other two hid behind him and peeked from the sides. "They- They didn't bump into you on purpose! Don't harm them! Lady Harbinger."
"Yes! We are sorry!" The other two joined in.
The harbinger standing in front of them extended her arm making the boy shut his eyes in fear and wait for what came next but to his surprise her hand rested on his head, gently ruffling his hair which made him warm up and let go of whatever fear he had. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at her smiling at him warmly. "You don't need to be scared. I won't harm you."
"Are... you new?" One of the younger ones asked and she nodded "Yes! My name's Y/N."
The younger kids slowly stepped forward but the older one was still skeptical about Y/N because her behaviour wasn't matching his perspective of the harbingers. "Why... are you on this side of the nation?" He asked and she looked around herself and wondered. It was the side that was still underdeveloped and nothing from that region would benefit the fatui unless they were looking for some bait that could be killed off without remorse.
The fatui's activity was comparatively less on that side so it was majorly unnoticed by everyone. No one cared for the people living there and since it was useless in the eyes of the Tsaritsa... she never batted an eye at them.
"I just wanted to see what life was like here at Roshi."
"So, have you seen it now?"
"Well, yeah I have... It's pretty dreadful. I could never imagine living here. So, you have my respect for living a life with such struggles."
The kids were confused at her words. They didn't sense any fear from her but it was obvious that she was mocking them. "Isn't that because of you?" The older kid asked and glared at her. "You guys don't find this place beneficial so you ignore it and refuse to do anything for the betterment of the citizens living here. Many people die of starvation and we don't even have proper doctors here. The ones in the capital charge the amount that we can't pay even if we work our whole lives. You are the one causing struggles and yet we are not exempted from the taxes. Why are we paying taxes when we aren't even getting any benefits?! You are just ripping us off of our money and then you have the audacity to say that you have 'respect' for us living a life with struggles?!"
"Alex..." The younger ones mumbled and held his hand in an attempt to calm him down.
Y/N squatted down to meet his eye level "So your name is Alex... I have to say, you are quite daring."
Alex gulped with fear as the sight of blood splatter from his memory entered his mind. "What was her name again..." Y/N mumbled. "Anna." She said and Alex's eyes widened at the familiar name. Many scenes entered his mind as he trembled with fear. The memory of Anna dying in front of him haunted him.
"Anna was killed by a harbinger right?"
"S- stop! don't remind me of that time!! JUST GO AWAY!!"
"Do you remember the face of the harbinger that killed her?" She asked and held his hand while looking straight into his eyes.
"Why- why are you asking me? I don't want to remember! Anna died for nothing!! She just saw the harbinger killing a man... and she was killed because she witnessed it! It wasn't her fault!"
"Oh yeah? but I didn't ask you for the details... I just asked you what the harbinger looked like." Y/N reminded which left Alex speechless because even he didn't know why he gave her the answer to something she didn't ask. Y/N sighed and stood upright "The Tsaritsa's banquet... You want to attend it right?" She asked while looking at the little ones and they slowly nodded. "I will make sure you attend it." She said and walked away.
Was awakening a kid's trauma a nice thing to do? Morally, no, that was the worst thing someone could have done to a child and Y/N was well aware of it but did it bother her? Absolutely not. Not even the slightest.
She walked through the streets of Roshi with the citizens peeking at her from their doors and windows as she kept her eyes straight ahead at the palace far away in the distance. Her attention stayed undiverted until she heard the sound of an eagle. She stopped on her path and looked at the sky, where she spotted a majestic eagle soaring above. Its wings spread wide, casting a shadow on the ground below. Y/N's gaze followed the eagle's flight, and a faint smile curved her lips.
As the eagle descended gracefully, it landed on Y/N's outstretched arm. She stroked its feathers gently, a sense of connection between them. "It's time," she whispered softly to the eagle as if sharing a secret. With a swift motion, she took out the letter from its leg and raised her arm, as the eagle took flight once again.
---
The harbingers were once again present in their meeting area. All out of the region activities were put on halt until the Tsaritsa's birthday banquet but Y/N put forward the letter she had received.
She gently slid the letter on the table in front of Pierro who took it in his hands and read the contents of the letter. Taking in all the information before looking at Y/N as he raised an eyebrow. "So, you need to go to Fontaine?" He asked and Y/N gave him a nod "That's right. It's the court's notice. Someone filed a case against House of the Hearth. I'm pretty sure it was Baruch but that doesn't matter right now. This was inevitable. House of the Hearth... is basically the fatui agent factory. We have been accused of exploiting the orphans."
"Fatui agent factory, my foot!" Arlecchino screeched. "Only the capable children are given ranks amongst the fatui and on their own free will."
Y/N looked at Arlecchino and smiled as a question slipped out "And... what about the non-capable ones?"
"Well Well, since it's a matter of importance. You should get going then." Pulcinella stated. "I would also like Arlecchino to accompany me. While we are there, I might as well complete the rest of the process of documentation with her. And... I also plan on taking the hydro gnosis."
Pantalone chuckled "Can you bring it before the banquet starts?"
"Mr Ninth, don't worry, I'll give the Tsaritsa a present like never before~"

The Last Velaryon
Tag list @rise-my-angel @cdragons
Chezney and I followed Robb's heel's quickly through the winter castle. All our belongings were being brought in by some of their guards and the rooms being prepared by the maids. But none of that matters to me. The ends of my dress had begun being covered in thick mud. "So where are we going now, Robb?"
He glanced over his shoulder causing his curls to bounce as he walked ahead of us. "It's just a little further, my ladies. Don't you worry I won't keep you out long to catch frostbite."
"It's colder than I anticipated it to be, Haelesa." Chezney shivered under her one layer winter fur causing me to pause in my step and drape mine over her shoulders to which she protested. "You'll catch a cold for sure."
Shaking my head I kept walking forward. For most of the remaining trip I didn't notice the cold too bad until we stopped moving and ended up underneath a large red tree in the middle of a winter garden area. "She's right, Lady Haelesa. I would never hear the end of it if you froze to death on my watch." Robb came over sliding his light colored fur cloak off his shoulders.
"Robb, that's not necessary. You'll surely freeze too." I attempted to turn down his offer.
But the Stark boy was raised to be honorable and kind by his parents. He placed the cloak over my shoulders and it almost fell off since it was bigger on me than him. He moved his hands down, tying the laces so it stayed on. "I was born in the North, remember. I'll last longer without a cloak than you and your friend would have."
"Well thank you. So what is this place?" I lifted my head up slightly eyeing the tall red tree in front of the three of us.
He lifted his blue eyes upwards the tree. "This is the Godswoods of Winterfell. My parents were married underneath this tree and someday I shall be too. I thought I should show you since they probably don't have one like it in the south."
"I must say I've seen more of the North than the place I shall call home for the rest of my life." I sadly admit to him.
He apologized. "I'm sorry."
"Not you're doing. It is the fault of my new golden husband." Shrugging my shoulders.
He made a face at me. "You're the girl from the foreign fish house by Dragonstone. My father mentioned it once but I didn't think I would be meeting you during the king's ride here."
"Yes well, my father had legitimate son's. The one he has is only concerned with bedding girls instead of helping the family name. So it all hangs on my head." I explained to him.
Robb eyed me silently for a moment. He wasn't sure what had come over him but he knew he couldn't keep it to himself. "You don't want the marriage to the Kingslayer do you?"
"I told her he might be nice once she gets to know him." Chezney remains the hopeful one.
Turning my head slightly back and forth the wind managed to catch some of the baby hairs that couldn't fit into my braid. "I've heard some good and some bad. Rarely any good ones come from an arranged marriage in this life."
"My mother claims that hers ended well. Five Stark children and an honorable husband." He pointed it out to me.
Nodding my head I kept on. "Indeed it appears so. I dream of the day but it is not my only dream in life."
"An arranged marriage is not my dream either.  But I was raised to be lord of Winterfell. I must do the duty of my house." He declared dropping his brown gaze onto me. "What is your dream, Haelesa?"
Throwing my arms away from my sides I raised them in the air feeling a rush of excitement at somebody finally asking me after all these years. "What I want is to see the world. I've lived my whole life in a castle surrounded by water. After the Targaryen reign ended my house fell into the shadows. I assumed I would die in that castle until my father declared I was to wed Jaime Lannister."
"But we are seeing the world, D." Chezney attempted to say.
Sending her a glare I wasn't finished. "Until we're shipped off to Casterly Rock surrounded by the ocean once more. Forgive me, Robb but what I want is something I shall never have."
"I understand, my lady." He replied softly. "You want love and adventure. Same as I."
I chuckled lightly at the eldest Stark boy. "Aren't we a pair."
Chezney turned her attention away from our conversation hearing the galloping of hooves coming our direction. Robb and I soon noticed it and turned our heads over our shoulders seeing a Stark knight. "My lord, my ladies. Lady Stark sent me to retrieve you for the feast tonight."
"Thank you, ser. We were just on our way back." Robb nodded at one of his father's men.
Chezney and I watched the knight remain there where she spoke up. "Was there something else, ser?"
"Ser Jaime wishes to see his betrothed before the feast tonight. I was informed to escort you to him." The knight said.
Tugging the cloak closer around me I huffed following Robb back on foot. Chezney was behind us and the knight followed from behind even though I didn't feel afraid in these woods. "And so it begins." Getting back to the castle I didn't bother with changing out of my muddy clothes if he wished to see me it would be like this. The Stark knight led me through some hallways until we reached the chambers we had been given by Lord Eddard for our time being here.
The Stark knight held open the door and I shooed him away where he shut the door before my betrothed ever uttered a word. "I was wondering if you were ever coming back or had you and your lady in waiting scampered off to the woods with that boy."
"The boy's name is Robb. Now what is it you wished to see me for?" I questioned him.
Jaime smirked, taking a step towards me. "Ah already on a first name basis are you. Tell me are you more intrigued by such danger of getting caught. Because I can gladly help you with your desire before the wedding in a few weeks."
"Hah. I have no desire to share your bed." I scoffed.
He shook his head. "But you'll have to at some point."
"Not by my choice." I sniped, closing Robb's cloak tightly around me. "If you called me here just to make flirty remarks I must be ready for the feast."
"I have something for you actually. If you're interested." Spinning on my heels I headed towards the door until he spoke up. He went over to a crate drawing out something long wrapped in a cloth sheet. He unwrapped it revealing a shiny new blade.
Tilting my head to the side I slowly moved away from the door admiring the newly forage sword that he had placed on the edge of the bed. "Did you have it made for me?"
"I did my best to get the balance right. If it's too heavy I can have the blacksmith change it." He said back to me.
Slowly wrapping my fingers around the handle I took a hold of it with both hands. Swinging it lightly around I could feel much better balance than the one I held at Kings Landing. "This is much better but I don't understand. Why do this for me?"
"It's very unlikely we will fall in love with this arrangement. So I thought I'd do something to make you happy. I saw that we are both in our true element when we were sword fighting. It's yours, Haelesa." Jaime explained resting his right hand on his hip.
Laying the sword down on the bed I sent him a tiny smile. "Thank you, Jaime."
"You're welcome. Now you best get ready for tonight. We can practice before we leave here in a few days." He says while I put the sword back in its holder and headed for the door.
Opening the door I halted in my tracks seeing his sister standing there where I quickly gave her my best curtsy. "Your grace."
"Little Velaryon." She greets me with a stern look walking past me and into her brother's chambers. Once the door was shut behind the young Velaryon Cersei changed her entire demeanor towards her brother. "What exactly do you hope to gain with her?"
Jaime sat down on the bed confused. "What are you talking about?"
"You know what I am talking about. I have spies everywhere in the city. They told me about you sword fighting with her and her lady in waiting. Now you present her with her own sword. Father won't be happy with that."
He rolled his eyes. "Father has rarely ever been happy with anything we've done in our lives."
"Probably because you and our monster of a brother never did what he wanted. Like jumping off the side of the Rock when we were children." She grumbled to him.
Jaime rolled his eyes. "There was nothing wrong with what I did until you told him about it. Now is there something you want to tell me or did you just come to snoop on me?"
"I came to warn you of her. She won't love you. She's a child and she will never have what we have." Cersei stepped closer to him, throwing her bright red dress around as she went.
Jaime dropped his hands in his lap. "Don't tell me you're jealous of the Velaryon girl. She doesn't want this marriage. The only thing I can do is make it look like this can work between us. If I make it clear that I am with you both our heads will be on spikes."
"You let me worry about my drunk husband. And remember that father doesn't care if you make her slightly happy or not." The queen of the seven kingdoms eyed her brother.
He got to his feet snagging her wrist and bringing her to his embrace. "Lannisters don't act like fools. It's the family name that lives on. Nothing else matters."
"So give her a child and then be done with her. That's the plan." She nodded to him in agreement sepering from him and leaving him to prepare for the feast herself.
I wasn't familiar with the rules of many feasts where the royal family was present. Thankfully I wasn't the one hosting such an event. I simply had to represent my house to the best of my ability. Chezney and I made our way down the cold stone stairs that led into the large dining hall. "I can't believe we're here together, Hael."
The feast
"It's not that exciting." I told her where she huffed and I knew I needed to change my attitude about this. "I'm sorry, Chez. This just doesn't feel like me. All the formalities, gowns and accessories. I don't care for it all."
She squeezed my arm that was looped through hers. "Yeah. I suppose you'd rather be running through the woods like a wilding."
"I wouldn't say that - oh I'm sorry." I accidentally bumped into a young girl with dark brown hair and a messy dress. Tilting my head to the side I recognize her as the youngest Stark daughter. "You're Arya aren't you?"
She spun around on her feet. "You're the Velaryon girl. Come sit with me." She takes hold of my hand and drags me to her seat with Chezney trailing behind us and pulling up a chair for herself.
"So how boring are these things normally?" Chezney asked the young girl.
Arya sticks her tongue out. "Extremely. I don't like them. But I can't stand that either. I'm Arya, what's your name?"
"I'm Haelesa and this is Chezney." Following her gaze I saw that her older sister Sansa was gossiping with her friends. She kept aweing the blonde haired prince who was looking in her direction. I couldn't blame her for not liking it. Yes he was cute and had the title of Prince but that wasn't important if he was a brute. "I see that. I never had any sisters to relate to."
"She was stuck with me. I think I do a rather good job." Chezney throws an arm over my shoulder.
Arya smiled, grabbing her fork and getting some cake on the end of it. "Watch this, it'll be funny."
"Arya!" Sansa gasped shapely when the cake from the fork smashed on her cheek. Some of it fell and got on her dress which caused laughter to fill the hall. Covering my mouth with my hands I couldn't contain the laughter that fell from my lips. Chezney nearly fell backwards off her chair.
At that time Lady Stark sent her eldest son a look sending him over to the three of us. Robb began coming in our direction where I warned the girl. "Run Arya."
"Come on. Get some more." Chezney attempted to help her get some more cake on her fork to do it a second time.
Scrambling to my feet I moved around in the blue dress I wore hoping to block him from his sister. "Haelesa, what are you doing?" He chuckled moving but I got in front of him at every step.
"Keeping you from her, what does it look like?" I teased him with a grin.
Robb made a move but I jumped in front of him yet again. He kept his hands at a distance where if he had he could easily beat me here. He was much faster and stronger after all. "My mother wants me to put her to bed before she embarrasses us more tonight."
"Sorry Robb. But it's three against one." I chuckled seeing his eyes shift from me to my best friend and his sister then back to me. "What's the problem, Stark. Afraid to fight a girl?"
He answered my question. "I was raised not too."
"It's all in good fun." I responded.
Chezney nudged Arya who bent her spoon back and launched cake in his face. He ran toward her and he almost grabbed her until I jumped on his back and we went tumbling to the cold floor. "Haelesa!" He called out my name in a fit of laughter.
"Ha we beat you." Chezney teased him with Arya proudly at her side.
Robb rubbed the back of his head while I brushed the dirt off my dress. "Yes you did. Now off to bed you." He forced himself to his feet pushing his sister towards the hallway.
"At least you're not a sore loser, Stark." My best friend sticks her tongue out.
I pushed myself up to stand on my own feet not bothering with fixing my messy hair. I felt my chest rising up and down knowing I was enjoying myself at this moment. "Uh, I need some air." I told the pair sensing that someone was watching me. I was right to assume so because Jaime was leaning up against the wall watching the whole moment between us. I didn't feel comfortable being myself with him watching me.
"I'll come with you." Robb offered me his arm since I wasn't familiar with the grounds and it was nightfall now so it was easy for me to get lost.
Chezney waved bye to us. "See you later." She saw Robb and I walk away from the feast yet she wasn't the only one watching in the room.
Unknown to the young pair King Robert and his friend Lord Eddard were the ones watching them. "Ned, there's something we should talk about."
"Of course." He agreed to his friend leaving the feast.

Guess I'm More Powerful Now?
Written for Dannymay 2023 Day 8 Prompt: Electric Core Au Fandom: Danny Phantom Characters: Danny, Sam, Tucker, Frostbite Words: 763 Summary: Danny has been having electric pulse going through his body recently. . .now he has to go to Frostbite to figure out what's wrong
Tumblr media
Danny was in burning pain. There was no other way to describe what he was feeling. It felt like his insides were burning from the inside. A foreign feeling thanks to his Ice Core.
Not only was he in pain, but he was shocked every time he touched a piece of metal. It wasn’t a standard static electricity shock but a shock that was built up and looking at his hand he could see the burn marks left after he closed the door to his house.
Walking down the street Danny felt eyes on him as he shook his body, trying to get the currents out. With luck maybe this was a normal thing and not some ghostly thing. Knowing he was going to be proved wrong he still asked the ancients.
“Danny? You good dude?” Tucker asked as his best friend slid into the booth at the Nastay Burger, hissing as his hand touched the metal table.
“I’m fine. Just keep getting shocked every time I touch the table,” he grumbled, laying his head on the table, ignoring the visible electricity that shot through him. This was definitely getting old.
“Maybe you should go talk to Frostbite,” Sam brought up, taking a bite of her Veggie Burger, and pushing the extra fries towards Danny.
“I’m really hoping this isn't a ghost thing,” Danny groaned, grabbing a few fries to stuff into his face hole.
“Well normal people are not violently shocked every time they touch metal,” Sam rolled her eyes.
“I identify as being normal,” Danny declared, putting a fist in the air, his head still not leaving the table.
“You can’t identify as being normal. You’re like the coolest guy we know,” Tucker stated.
“Are you saying my identity isn’t valid,” Danny moved his head to glare at his friends, a playful smile on his face.
“Your made-up identity of normal is not valid,” Sam assured him.
“Damn,” Danny groaned.
“So Frostbitw?” Tucker asked.
“Fine I’ll go to Frostbite,” Danny blurted as he got out of the booth, groaning and making his friends annoyed, but they still followed him to the back of the restaurant.
“I’ll be back soon. . .hopefully,” Danny started to make a portal, a power he is very happy that he gained.
“Don’t worry dude we got you covered,” Tucker assured as Danny jumped in the portal, making his way to the far frozen.
“Great one! How wonderful to see you!” Frostbite greeted.
“Hey, Frostbite. Got a bit of a problem. Got a place we can talk?” Danny asked, trying to avoid the oncoming twitches.
“This way,” Frostbite led him through the village as they reached the medic hut. “What seems to be the problem?”
“I have this feeling of burning constantly. It’s like it’s fighting my ice core. I get badly zapped every time I touch metal. What is wrong with me?” Danny asked, trying to avoid touching the metal table.
“Sounds like a secondary core,” Frostbite shrugged.
“I can’t have two cores!” Danny panicked.
“Calm down Great One. Multiple cores are given to those who show a tremendous amount of power. Now since it sounds like an electric core it will be fighting your ice core. We do have ways to fix this. We can train you to use your ice core, or if you would rather we can temporary remove it.”
“Remove it?”
“Temporarily. We do not offer this for those with one core as that is what helps a ghost form. Those who have secondary cores can have it removed and destroyed, but it will be formed again. This is not a permanent solution,” Frostbite warned.
“Train me,” Danny groaned, already knowing what he was in for.
It took Danny going back to the Far Frozen every day for two weeks straight before he finally got the electric core down to stop hurting his ice core. It felt nice to no longer be in constant pain. Not only did the pain stop, but he was also no longer being zapped. He was also informed as to why he ended up with an electric core of all things.
Turns out it was his death. When you grow powerful and gain a secondary core life likes to make fun of you and give you how you died as a core. Danny didn’t find it funny.
He still had a lot to learn on how to use his core and he still had to go to the Far Frozen at least once a week, but for being in constant pain and now breathing better he’ll take it.
