Idk for sure if it's an observation of lalaloopsy as a whole but in the entirety of the series there are only 8 boys so...are men like an endangered species in the lalaloopsy world ?

Because Lalaloopsy is a doll line primarily marketed towards girls, it’s a common sight to see only a few boys alongside dozens of girls.

But Lalaloopsy Girls presents a strange scenario with the lack of boys on campus.

If we were to judge based on the title, there was no intention to make older versions of the boy characters either.

Because Lalaloopsy Girls never continued, all we have left is to assume either the boys are attending a separate academy, or (at worst case) are seen as the inferior gender and are left home. 😭

Also among the Littles we only got one boy (Matey), so one can only imagine when the Littles grow older he’d be the only boy in their generation!

I think it also applies to We’re Lalaloopsy as well, even with the confirmation of outside towns and all there’s only two boys living in Town Square.

Personally, I think Lalaloopsy Girls has the worst implications about gender since it is meant to be the “older years” for the main Lalaloopsy. No official word of what becomes of Patch, Forest, Ace, even the boys who never appeared in the cartoons.

However there is worse. The spin-offs of different casts (Oopsies, Ponies, and Pet Pals) consist entirely of girls. Don’t even think about questioning gender inequality for boys, because the boys don’t exist!

Lalaloopsies as Adults/Redesigns

-Pillow is chubby! She also has bags under her eyes because she works at night

-Mittens lost vision in one of her eyes due to a snowbroading accident, so she wears a white eye patch over her eye

-She also has afro puffs

-Spot has dreads and tyes them in a ponytail most of the time.

-Bea wears a lot of formal/dark academia clothes. Lots of blazers, collared shirts, things like that.

-Peanut wears a lot more clown/ringmaster attire and a red nose

-Pickle always has her hair in a bun, since she works a lot

-Dot mostly wears her hair in an afro puff, and it's wrapped with a red scarf

-Rather than rag dolls, they're more like ball jointed dolls

-Forest has tan skin and freckles!

-Swirly has an afro puff in her hair

-Misty wears her hair out, tied up in a bow. It's naturally curly. She also wears a black magician styled outfit

-Marie's hair is in two braids. Also she's Japanese.

-Cloudy is black but she's light-skinned

-Rosy has a bunch of Band-Aids and bandages wrapped around her due to ya know different things. She also wears a lot of yami kawaii/menhera/medicalcore type fashion when she's not working.

Who doesn’t love some polyamorous Lalaloopsies??

Btw I ship them in the order they’re shown here. Suzette x Jewel x Ace x Forest. I ship Jewel and Ace, I ship Ace and Forest, and I ship Jewel and Suzette. I don’t ship Forest with Suzette or Jewel and I don’t ship Suzette with Ace or Forest.

I thought Suzette was already *extremely* stereotypically French in the Welcome To Lalaprep movie, but then I watched clips of her in the normal series and she’s even worse in that one lmao. But I love her for it and I think it’s hilarious.

Also I know the lineart doesn’t look as clean as usual, that’s cuz it’s not supposed to. I usually draw a very rough, stick-man like sketch of the characters poses, then draw a more detailed sketch over that, and then do lineart. But this time I didn’t do that bc I knew it would take me even longer than it was already gonna take (7 hours) so I just drew the stickman sketch and then a more detailed sketch that I cleaned up a *tiny* bit to look more like lineart. But it still doesn’t look as clean as my usual lineart so yea.

So a while ago, I told @wacky-hatter about my RoyalWood AU that's basically sleeping beauty, but involves Prince Handsome sleeping for a few hundred years before waking up in present day Lalaloopsy Land.
