In the beginning of your relationship, Ness was pretty shy about showing physical affection. He's always loved and craved it, but it took him a few months until he managed to initiate touching you in any way. And even now, Ness still gets slightly flustered every time he reaches out to hold your hand. And he gets even more flustered whenever he asks for cuddles. Speaking of cuddling, Ness loves being the little spoon. He doesn't mind being the big spoon if you ask him to, but when the decision is up to him he always chooses to be the little spoon. Nothing makes him feel more at peace than being kept safely in your arms. Bonus if you're giving him forehead kisses every now and then and running your fingers through his hair. He can feel his heart melting every single time you do that. Even though he still gets so easily flustered, Ness has gotten a lot more touchy than he used to be in the first months of the relationship. He looks for your touch whenever he can. Something always feels off when you're sitting next to each other and he doesn't have his arm wrapped around your waist.

Ness loves to take you out on dates in his hometown. Everywhere you go together he tells you stories from his childhood and you can see his inner child sparkling whenever you pass one of his favourite places. And no matter how often you go there, Ness always has new stories to tell. He still lives there, but something about showing you around and telling you stories from his childhood makes everything so much more special. Sometimes Ness just goes on and on over something that may seem so minor to others, but you can see how much joy it brings him to tell you about it. It may be a little memory from years ago, but it's a piece of him he wants to share with you.

But for special occasions like anniversaries, Ness always plans a special date. His favourite is going to the petting zoo! Seeing you surrounded by all kinds of animals makes his heart melt in a matter of seconds.

Nayuta didn't know what to really think of you at first. To her, you were just another kid in her class, nothing too special. She respected you as her classmate and that was about it for a while, until she saw you drawing some cute dogs in your notebook during class. She sat next to you, wide eyes watching with curiosity and interest, as your hand moved across the paper.

She complimented your talent and you thanked her with a smile, telling her that dogs were your favourite animal. She warmed up to you pretty fast after that and eventually asked you to join her on walking her dogs. Denji was a little confused, when he saw her eagerly getting ready and seemingly in a much lighter mood than usual. "What are you so happy about?" "Wouldn't you like to know?" She sasses with a huff, but at the sight of you happily greeting her and Denji for the walk, the older boy quickly realised what was happening.

He couldn't help but smile, glad to see Nayuta finally having a good friend, as he waved you both a small goodbye. He also hoped you'd be a good influence on her. She really needed someone to show her how to be normal human kid and surely you could help her with that. You began visiting Nayuta alot, always playing together with her dogs and talking to Denji, who you considered pretty cool, despite Nayuta finding him annoying sometimes.

Nayuta eventually begins calling you her bestfriend too, just like you did with her. You two knew everything about eachother and never had any secrets... except for the one single thing that Nayuta kept from you. She wasn't the one to care much about what other people really thought of her. But things were different with you. And her being a devil could possibly ruin the friendship with you that she loved so much.

It takes her months of friendship to finally feel safe and confident enough to tell you and when she does, she's surprised at how casual you are with it. You don't judge her for it, nor seem to care all too much either. Nayuta is Nayuta to you, devil or not. She's surprised by your acceptance, but figured she shouldn't have expected anything else either.

You're her best friend after all.

Last movie / TV show: skip to loafer! i was screaming with muwi the entire time bc the story was so sweet and healing and everyone is so sympathetic and cute and we kept being like AAAAAAAAAA I LOVE WOMEN FRIENDSHIPS SO MUCHHHHHH

Spicy/savoury/sweet: sweet! if i could choose a combo, i like savoury-sweet. i like spice but only if i like the flavour! i'm not keen on the actual pain sensation of spice!!

(i promise this one has proper context bc i usually like pacifist mcs just bc i like politics and connection seeking to be based on a foundation of empathy and kindness. but this one was just so stupid and just a way to establish how good the mc was to the point that i couldn't get immersed in the story bc it was that nonsensical and i wanted to die)

i'm typically fine w mary sues / jane(?) FLs and i even tend to be biased for them just bc there's a lot of misogyny about the subject matter, so i normally don't bat an eye unless it's a writing choice i find unsuitable / doesn't fulfill the potential it could've achieved with an interesting plot.

(btw the context is that the first screenie which this rant also applies to was when some guy caught the baddies and the FL is like "No let's reward them for trying to kill us. they're just misunderstood!! i bet if we try really hard we can all get along!!")

but! i only really like it when it actually does something useful, like thematically or symbolically. like tohru's innate goodness for furuba inline with the sohma's family curse and mitsumi's unending positivity and earnestness that helps the people around her heal from emotional wounds. not that they're mary sues in any way, but since people understand mary sues as "female protagonists who can do no wrong and will be liked no matter what" (even thought their psychology and personality is just genuinely likeable), i think it makes my point clear. there's a way to write a character who is Good and Kind without cheapening them to a naivete that at best, makes the mc pitiable, or worst, is treated like the mc's totally unique worldview of "lets be nice to people and never hurt anyone ever :)" is the end all be all of the story and the solution to the plot. kindness and empathy is a coiled spring that projects you forward, a motivator. it's how you guide your hand and where it goes, not that the hand is never raised. i don't agree that cowardice towards change and the potential promise of conflict is any kind of wisdom >:T plus it kinda puts the shame to the idea of kindness as a legitimate basis for political strategy, and that leads to some set up for a lot of zero sum games i don't care for in this specific story. there is a good story where each character is trying to one up each other politically, psychologically, at all times, but this is not that story and so the tone feels very off kilter.

but yeah!! sometimes a character is just OP and the story is not even having fun with it (aka its not satire or irony), which makes me think they want to take it seriously. and my serious thoughts was that it sucked.

(i just realised this also applies to the first screenie LMFAO it just loops back huh!!)

not gonna comment about the others bc i think they speak for themselves <33 but also the first one of these three is fucked up in the sense that i dont even get where they're going w the story. its a revenge story and the FL uses the ML from childhood to achieve her revenge, but then suddenly when he's an adult she has Feelings for Him and now im like.... okay....? belief no longer suspended. beliefs are like those garter straps that snapped. my socks are like my beliefs. fallen to my feet. they are no longer suspended.

sorry that got off track </33 i enjoy looking into why i dont like things, im in this stage of life where i realise i actually have specific ass tastes!! i always have, but i just realised it very recently a few years back fjskfjskjf

i think i’m a v honest person, and i suppose i don’t mind saying what’s on my mind if i’m close to u. but to others, i filter what i say, and i tend to “people please” by saying what might be favourable to them. i’m really introverted and shy lol, it takes me a while to warm up to someone, but when i do, i’m pretty extroverted and loud :,) i think i’m also realistic, and i can sometimes be pessimistic, but i’m trying to be more hopeful about the future lately hehe. i feel like i’m also often trying to take care of my friends, and it’s like i’m the mother of the group ;-; and i would say that i’m quite empathetic, so a lot of the times, my friends do come to me for advice or just to hear some comforting words. i’m an infj :) and i’m a cancer ! i go by she/her !!

i like to write, read, and draw sometimes (not v good at it but it’s a calming activity imo). i also like to watch kdramas and anime <3 they’re probably one of my favourite things in the world !! and i like to cook (baking not so much idk why)—it’s also kinda therapeutic. i also love shopping, but specifically shopping for my things (idk how to feel ab grocery shopping :/)

ideal dates would probably have to be like art galleries, cafe dates, a picnic date w like painting activities hehe, a spontaneous trip out in the city, or a stay-at-home date where we just do wtv and enjoy each other’s company <33

okay this actually was so easy for me to settle on, i literally read your personality info and the first person who came to mind was isagi. i weighed out all the other options, but no one else really clicked in my head other than him. i think about this man like so often; and knowing so much about him, there's no doubt that you two would be so compatible!

one thing that really stood out to me amidst all of isagi's personality traits, is his perceptiveness. obviously he's extremely good at reading the field, but his true talent is reading people. while you're very introverted and tend to keep to yourself at first, he'd be able to figure out a way to make you feel comfortable around him upon the first introduction. he wouldn't be alarmed by your shyness, but rather intrigued and he'd want to understand you better; in fact, he'd make it a challenge for himself to do so. immediately, he'd be able to notice the difference between you telling the truth and you trying to 'people please'— but no matter which one is occurring, he wouldn't call you out on it. he'd trust that you're saying and doing whatever you feel comfortable with, and respect that. he'd also enjoy your outgoingness once you finally open up to him, and his favorite thing in the world would be whenever he's able to make you laugh. isagi loves a girl who laughs a lot whilst showing a beautiful smile; and he'd wish he had a photographic memory just to revisit that look on your face when he's struggling on the field, in need of some comfort.

i don't necessarily think you two are total opposites, but there are definitely some things that you differ on; one being his optimism vs. your pessimism. isagi is someone who lives on adrenaline and keeping his head in the clouds. he believes that everything will work out for him so long as he continues to practice and find a new solution; however, he needs someone who can keep him grounded. if he spends too much time in the clouds, his feet will never come back to earth. with your realist perspective, you can tell him when he needs to focus or lock in on a goal— whilst also making sure that he isn't getting too ahead of himself. the reverse is also true. he uses his extreme optimism and drive to encourage you to take those chances that you normally wouldn't with your realism holding you back. he wants you to fly in the cloud with him, and looks forward to that safe landing he knows you'll bring. you keep him from flying away. he makes sure you're not stuck to the ground forever.

even though he's an optimist, isagi is so hard on himself. he beats himself up after every game even if he's the one who scored the winning goal. to him, there's nothing more important than improving; which is why your advice is so valuable. if anything, you'd surely be his rock in the midst of the chaos of his football career. he'd rely on you when he's feeling down and go to you whenever he needs some words of encouragement. with those words, he'd close his eyes and try to recall them— recite them— before he has a game (it's his good luck charm) and feel so much stronger. your the person he looks up to most. it's not noel noa. it's you. he hangs onto your every word, his attention is undivided, because he knows that you only want the best for him. your advice is selfless, and yes, maybe he is selfish for asking for it so often, but can you blame him? you're the shining sun when he's rained off the field and the sweeping waves when he visits the beach. your physical and emotional beauty astonish him.

on his off days, isagi loves to go for walks, read manga, or simply stay at home with you. surely, he'd be the one to hand you your sneakers and tell you that there's a new cafe open downtown that he wants to try— knowing full well that you've been looking forward to it for weeks. when the two of you are walking through the city, he's bound to take a few pictures with fans; and while you're holding up the phone telling them to say 'cheese', isagi smiles after, telling the strangers: "isn't my girlfriend so cute?" he's such a character. if you choose to spend the day at home, baking and such, he tries his best to help out in the kitchen. though, it never really works out as planned. isagi has his certain skills, baking not being one of them (i.e. soccer being the only one) which causes your sweets to be a little lopsided. however, his company isn't a burden as he makes you giggle and smile with his quips and encouragements as you try a new recipe. isagi loves spending time with you when he can, and he makes sure to make the most of it.

your boyfriend is someone who thinks on his feet, pre-planning has never really been his thing, which is why it was no surprise when he laced up your sneakers and led you to the train station with no prior warning. the two of you are nearly there, just a few blocks away since you somehow got off the train two stops too early, when a pair of middle school (?) girls stop you in your tracks. "excuse me, do you mind if we get a photo with you isagi?" to which he gladly accepts.

naturally, you offer to take the photo, being used to your boyfriend's adoring fans and tell the girls to smile big. it's so adorable the way his face lights up whenever he's able to share his passion for football with someone new. you love that beaming look on his face and are so grateful that you get to look at that grin every day of your life.

"the girl taking the photo..." isagi begins to say to the fans, worrying you that he's about to make some joke that you won't find funny. "she's my girlfriend." aw.

they both nod at his words, commenting on how pretty they think you are, before he continues to speak.

"isn't she gorgeous?"

he always knows how to make you blush. damn him.

"you're a flirt, yoichi." you shake your head, giggling softly as you hand the phone back to the girls. "i can't take you anywhere, can i?"

he reaches out, lovingly clasping his large hand over yours and kisses your temple. it's a very public display of romance, but he made sure to cover your face while doing so, knowing that you tend to get a little embarrassed by those sort of things. "i'm the luckiest man in the world." his voice is so caring, so loving. "i'm going to tell everyone i'm yours whenever i get the chance."

SO. song recs, huh.. i've already answered another que about pf (mostly) album (bcs ithink it's really better to listen to pf in albums, not some specific songs) recs like a week ago,

on a second thought tho, here are a few more that are worth listening to that i didn't add for god knows what reason:

(This is to imagine What happened to bendys mom bc I talked ab it in a reblog and now I want to go into further detail bc one of my posts has disapeared and idk what happened to it🔥🔥🐺)

So during the archon war bendys family used the studio (where the machine is) to take refuge, when the ppl who built it found them they were chased out like rabid animals (the fam escaped hell) and ran to the field bendy woke up in (the studio is located under it) the family stayed there and tried to make a home there for like years or smth, during that time bendys mom (let's call her Ballerina ) had 2 older kids, one girl and one boy, more time passed and the boy was taken back to hell after running away, years later when Ballerina was oreggo w bendy brinda was found and taken to hell, then the house was torn apart and the cup Bros parents were sent to kill them, bendys dad was first to die, getting killed by cannikin and a dish named Maggy, bendys mom had already given birth to bendy and bendy was in the trees somewhere, Demitasse was ab to kill lher when Cannikin found baby bendy, Demi decided to spare her in exchange for Ballerina to work for her (idk where the proposal came from) and spare her son bendy, Ballerina obviously agreed, and she was also allowed to take care of him for awhile, during those months Demi slowly took off chunks of her face, left arm and left leg, replacing it was dish runed prosthetics (similar to mickeys leg but only dish runes) once those months were over Ballerina was forced to abandon bendy in that field and Demi escorted her to the dishes home (Canni died during those months in the labyrinth) and ever since then Ballerina is VERY slowly being turned into an actual doll for Demis very sick humor, believing that if you cant kill a demon, make them suffer being alive

protocol rain. happy first esports anime. unsure if this will last the season but for now there's a core of smth in there that keeps me watching. also the op/ed are gorgeous rly where they put their priorities lol bc the main show does look like ass

100 girlfriends/hyakkano. the harem parody i didn't know i needed. the setup is so genuinely stupid but it fires thru jokes at such a rapid pace you barely have time to remember the ones that don't land as well. THE ANIMATION IS SO BEAUTIFUL. also inch rested to see if they can get to 100 girlfriends polycule without becoming boring (komi san i am looking at u......)

apothecary diaries. everything i hoped it would be <33 some say the mysteries are too easy but since im not big on detective stuff im actually happy with the pacing (compared to raven of the inner palace which could drag a lil imo) it just looks soooo good maomao is so fun her cat emotes... <3 ((also ngl. there's elifauve angle to the main duo which i am. delighted abt ww))

ragna crimson. do the character designs look like a b-tier anime from the early 2000s? yeah. does it slap all the fucking way? YEAH. ragna and leo are extremely whatever but crimson (damiacore!!) and angel dragon are SO DOPE. aots no doubt <3 (<- biased i cannot be trusted) it just scratches an itch that hasn't been scratched since the isekai game inspy fantasy scourge took over. bar is on the ground etc

shangri-la frontier. heel turn but. scratches the video game fantasy world itch and it's just stupid enough to be annoying. no isekai bullshit. fight animation that's exactly what made sao fun but without the harem bs that made sao.... sao. (i know there's more girls coming i just hope we stick to fun beat em up with it.)

sousou no frieren. ANIME OF THE DECADE. absolutely no question about it this is the best thing i've ever seen every second of animation is jaw-droppingly beautiful all the characters and the fkcin story the cycles the grief the humanity behind it all. i cry every single ep ;-; i am too enamored by it to even be annoyed abt the german names of everything and everyone. it's awkward but as someone who also gave all their first ocs telling japanese names I'LL LET IT SLIDE <3

spy x family s2. excited to get to boat arc. exactly what you know ur gonna get from it and i love getting more sxf. it's fun!!!!

undead unluck. it has the kill la kill energy (idiocy) we have no choice but to stan. took me actually till ep 2 to clock it was made by shaft guys and now i cannot unsee it anymore. all the chars and gimmicks are stupid and fun and it perfectly fills the niche left empty by zom100 being in production hell. ive watched anime for long enough that i can ignore the sexual comedy bits but it is becoming stale (in which it falls short of what klk was able to pull off. god i miss klk) lol

AAA <333 GOD I COULD TALK FOR AGES ABOUT HOW GOOD OF A CHOICE IT WAS TO. HAVE BOTH VANDER AND HUCK INTRODUCED TOGETHER.

Vander is humungalogongus, Huck is Tiny, putting them together just emphasizes both of those qualities in such a delightful way aaa <33

GOD AND THE MUG. THE MUG WAS SUCH A SMALL GOOD CHOICE.

Vanders hand wraps around that tankard like it owe's him money smmnmdsnd whereas Huck would probably need to use two hands to do the same.

I just. It's such a great use of contrasting character designs!!

AND THE TWO SITTING TOGETHER !!! LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFUL CONTRAST!!!

Like sure Vander is big, but next to Huck,, he is BIG big. Absolute giant, I love how it helps boost those Protective Vibes he's meant to have!!! <333

AND THE SAME THING WORKS PRESTO-REVERSO FOR HUCK. He looks so insanely small compared to him, and joint with how he curls into himself, all of it just makes him look so. fragile.

It's such a fantastic way of getting across the Vibes of the characters in a nonverbal way. giving the animators my bank info as we speak.

they didn't need to make him. Literally Shudder In Fear but they DID and I LOVE them for that. It's not even smth most ppl are gonna see, it's like 3 frames at most, but they DID.

I brought this up somewhere else but. Big Eyes + Small Pupils That Can't Sit Still adds so much more,, stress and tension to everything he does. I'm sorry the design details have me by the throat what can I say.

THEY GIVE HIM SO MANY. BEHAVIORS. The drumming of his fingers is my favorite - it pops up three times that I've noticed.

The bar, before Vander hands him his drink.

The table, when he's getting upset about the deal going south.

The counter of the Apothecary's dispensary in ep.6

ITS SUCH. A MINUTE DETAIL BUT IT ADDS SO MUCH PERSONALITY.

Like even outside of his tinger-tapping - the way his eyes can't sit still, his very jittery uneven movements, his eyebrows are almost always Bunched Up in that worried expression, that nervous laugh like UGHHHH <333

His lanky frame and frantic gestures have entranced me

There's so many good details post-timeskip I gotta talk about MSNDSM

I. GRMGKRKGR. The way they re-introduce Huck makes my brain start bounding off my skull

First he's fully covered by the cloak, he looks relatively normal

then he falls backwards, revealing that he's completely emaciated, far past his previous thinness.

THEN we get the close-up shot to show the tumor, giving us a glimpse into just how damaging shimmer has been on his body - his hood even falls off to give us a full look.

I JUST. GOD. The escalation. Those small moments of Tension-Release are scattered all throughout Arcane and they all give me such massive brainworms.

LIKE EVEN FOR PPL WHO MIGHT NOT REMEMBER HIM,, ITS JUST SUCH A GOOD WAY OF REVEALING THOSE DETAILS.

and for the people who DO remember him it adds that little layer of,,,, Youch

AND THAT ANGLE. GOD. It really feels like we're looking down at him from the barrel of Cait's gun. The cinematography in this show is always so pretty.

(this is also the moment where we can see the escalation of his habits!!)

His eyes are more jumpy, his hands are more expressive, that nervous laugh he has is escalated to the point that it. sounding like he's gonna burst into tears. ('I- I owed her old man my life. Probably more.. than that - I guess' ..... Bill Lobley did such an amazing job w/ his voice aaa)

My absolute favorite detail they added was post-timeskip Huck's,, self-soothing behaviors?

He holds his own hand, he leans against his arm - at one point he tries to rub his forehead before flinching back, forgetting his tumor is there AAAA </33333

It's so clear he isn't accustomed to contact, which makes Cait's hug feel so much more cathartic </3

HE JUST <33333. They really emphasize how vulnerable he is. His constant fear and his desperation to not be afraid is such a key part of his character.

Like he says himself that one of the main reasons he turned to shimmer was to finally, finally make other people the ones who are afraid I JUST. AAA. I FUCKING LOVE THIS GUY YALL IDK WHAT TO SAY.

If there's any last thing to say it's just. The crew did such a good job adding all that depth. Huck gets 5 mins total on-screen and they still took the time to flesh him out.

2. Do they believe in horoscopes?

I have to say no. Montana does think memes about zodiac signs are funny and will make some herself, but when it comes to actually believing them- hard pass. She doesn't belive in destiny or any kind of that stuff, saying "you will find love in the next moon phase" or smth along the lines is something she can laugh abt, but never take serious.

14. Who's their best friend? Their worst enemy?

Best friend: Justin. The two were bffs back when they were kids, and after coming back to jorvik they reconnected basically instantly. That said, things are awkward after the whole DC thing and Pandoria, but they still care about each other A LOT. (Someone help me figure out what kind of relationship i want for those two i can’t decide)

Worst enemy: I’ very tempted to say herself but tbh it’s probably Darko. She can handle the dark riders to some extend and it would be way too easy to just throw Mr. Sands off the Oil Platform. Darko on the other hand is unpredictable for her. She doesn’t believe he would just die that easily in Pandoria, that guy managed to get a hold of monsterfied Mr. Anwir, almost caused her to fall into the portal back on the Oil Platform and killed Elizabeth. She has tried to kill him, but has yet to succeed at actually doing so.

9. Where are they from originally?

Actually Jorvik! I talked a bit about her family tree in my previous ask, if anyone's curious.

20. What do they do when meeting new people?

Generally, she stars out nice and polite, but does not want to shake hands or touch them in any sort. After that, it depends on the person. If it's someone who is nice and polite she will be softer, friendlier and at least pretend to try and hold back her sassy remarks and cursing. If the person is an ass, unfriendly or simply a bs person she will not hold back. Ask Mr. Kembell or James for that. That said, she does keep some sort of distance for the first few times she meets people. She just needs to warm up a little, okay?

15. Are they a magic user? How did they find out?

Big yes. If you believe the druids, she might be the reincarnation of Aideen. Montana just thinks she got the powers randomly.

Discovering she had magic was a bit of a little disaster. She and Onyx (her soul horse) had gone on a trail ride when they found a pandoric rift along with a hand full of panda rays and a shadow seeker. Naturally, Mo kinda freaked out and full on started panicking when the shadow seeker stared following her. Onyx freaked out as well and threw her off, just so she could land right in front of the shadow. Not knowing what to do she held up her hands, and suddenly there was pink light coming from them?? The shadow seeker dissipated and Montana was left sitting confused on the ground, panda rays floating around her, a rift to another dimension a few meters away and Onyx slowly walking back to her after the seeker had disappeared.

Not that fun of an experience if you ask her.

33. What's their favorite movie or book?

There isn't anything specific for movies, but anything in the Psycho/ Psycho-Thriller Horror genre is worth watching (much to Justin's dismay). If she had to pick one it'll probably be "The Cabin in the Woods" tho. Also, every now and then she likes to watch Marvel movies for a change of pace. As for books, she doesn't read that many novels but does own a good batch of manga. (no, her favorite book is definitely not “Just Between Us” by J.H. Trumble nor is her favorite anime “AnoHana" no matter what Justin told you)

ik you've seen me ramble abt twewy all the time but I also love pokémon, kirby, legend of zelda, detroit become human and golden sun !!! my brother has also been playing Hades lately and tho the playstyle isn't my thing bc I get stressed easily IT'S AN AMAZING GAME AND I LOVE IT

BORROWER HEADCANONS

im bored, I should be writing but here's some of my favorite borrower headcanons instead (ask your headcanons or ask for more of mine or clarification!! I love this stuff!!)

borrower "culture" isn't really a thing. If you found two borrowers from separate places and asked them what holidays they celebrate or if they have a hierarchy, they'd most likely give you completely different answers (that means the rest of the list is basically only true for some borrowers in my head)

borrowers don't track time like humans. Ofc they still have like morning and evening and so on, but they don't have hours or minutes or years in the way we use them.

Adding to the last bit, borrowers don't do birthdays. Since they don't really have numbered days, at most they remember whether they were born in early or late (insert season here). Age is counted by seasons and being an older borrower usually means being respected far more.

borrowers don't really do gender. it's really not a big deal when you're fighting for your food and life constantly. Pronouns are just things they borrow from humans, they're not really attached to them.

skirts and dresses are impeding to most borrower things so wearing them is either luxurious and shows that a borrower doesn't need to work or lazy. Again gender isn't really a thing so they can be worn by anyone as long as they don't need to be constantly alert.

hair length is usually a personal decision. Long hair is warm and can be tied up easily, but can get caught in things and does take maintenance. Not as much maintenance as human hair would at that length, but still some. (borrowers can usually brush the tangles out of their hair with just their fingers.) Short hair is a lot more permanently out of the way but often needs to be cut fairly regularly to stay at that length.

hair color can affect what length borrowers choose to keep their hair at. Black haired borrowers might keep long hair and even put it semi down so they're harder to see in the darkness. Red or blonde haired borrowers might have to keep it short because it could easily get them spotted.

borrowers that live/work alone tend to be more cutthroat than colonies of borrowers. They can't rely on much and if you are hindering their work they will cut you loose so fast.

on the other hand, colonies tend to be more strict about rules and such. The rules vary greatly, but they tend to stick to them and not forgive even small transgressions. Basically if you're a rule breaker you're gonna get yeeted.

if a lone borrower is crazy, it's kinda just like eh, they're alone so long it makes sense for them to be like that. Often if they aren't like actually just randomly biting people, they can still be decent ally's.

if a colony is crazy, you're fucked. That is a borrower cult, my guy. They have already completely convinced themselves and each other that they are the sane ones, there's no way to get through to them. Plus they tend to have the numbers to do really bad things, for instance: sacrifices.

some borrowers do have religion!! It can be anything from whatever religion the humans had put through a game of telephone or something humans would consider to be a lot like witchcraft!

Borrowers often get their names from 1. human names (usually misheard or misspelled) 2. something precious to the parents, like how some humans are named after gems 3. just a random word that someone heard and decided would make a good name, or 4. another borrower.

moving house is just as dangerous if a borrower moves into somewhere with borrowers already as if it's an empty place. The best scenario would probably be a group of borrowers too small to be considered a colony that don't mind sharing or a recently evacuated home. (you would have to consider why they left, though.)

borrowers sit wherever they goddamn please. on the floor? yep. on the edge of a table next to a drop that would definitely kill them? yeah, sure. on top of a borrower sized table? it's comfy! wherever they happen to be standing and find out they're going to be there a while? just plopped down on the spot. They are also incredibly fast at getting up, so there's no worry about being stuck sitting when something happens.

beds aren't really a thing for borrowers either. They have to be able to sleep wherever they are so they don't get tired and make stupid mistakes. The closest thing to a human concept of a bed would probably be a few comfortable scraps of fabric in a bit of a messy nest. Easy to move and rearrange. Some borrowers just sleep on the ground or cuddle with other borrowers.

Candy is as precious as gems. Unfortunately, just about as useful as them, too, but sweet things are hardly ever left out or abandoned.

The main overarching rule for borrowers is don't get caught and if you do, don't reveal the rest of the borrowers to humans. Different rules spawn from this like don't speak to humans or don't go out during the day or whatever, but those are the ones all borrowers basically would get as a kid.

Borrowers are kind of desensitized to violence and death. All their lives they are constantly thinking about it possibly happening, and depending on where they live, may have seen many others bite the dust. It's just a part of being a borrower.

Borrowers have INCREDIBLY dark humor. They'll absolutely be joking about how their best friend got severely injured the moment they're safe. Maybe even before depending on the borrower.

Some borrowers are more animalistic than others. It's a trait that's sort of passed down like what eye color you have. Some borrowers have cat-like eyes that adjust to the dark well but are mid sighted and color blind. Some borrowers can purr or chirp. Some are more capable of eating raw meat or random stuff they find on the ground. Some have tails for balance or animal ears.

Many borrowers have weird special talents that seemingly come out of nowhere. One may be able to jump stupidly high while the other can smell everything and discern what is going on in the next room.

borrowers get overstimulated SO EASILY. loud? no thanks. lots of movement that they try to automatically track all at once? eugh. bright colors that hurt their eyes and distract them? bad.

crows and borrowers often have symbiotic relationships. Borrowers share a little food and time/conversation and the crow distracts the human or gives them a ride or protects them from other animals. they are friends <3

Most borrowers don't have any other name than their first unless they live in a place with a LOT of other borrowers and need to distinguish where they're from.

TLDR; I never stop thinking about borrowers. I am a borrower nerd. I will keep on talking about this forever.

izzy ive a pokemon update: i found toxtricity,, both amped and lowkey form and i was like aRGHhH im trying so hard to evolve this toxel i have but hey no harm in catching these toxtricity now anyways--- only there was harm done and i had to flee the battle before i got sent off to some random pokecenter/shop/tm thing 🤡 (im the type that cbf using revives unless i need to HAHA)

but also!! im having so much fun just exploring paldea and seeing pokemon old and new (but especially the old!! when i saw phanpy,,, when i saw luvdisc,,,, oh my hecks) but also it means i get distracted w exploring and i dont do much levelling up or battles at all, which lead to stumps when pokemon i wanna catch are too high level or smth :(

i haven’t really played much pokemon in a bit but the last thing i was doing was searching for gible (shocker), i need to go back and play more tbh. i totally get what you mean about being underleveled tho bc of getting distracted, i honestly haven’t been up to level bc i’m so busy exploring LOL i only have two gym badges but i have three titan badges and one star badge so hey, progress! 😤

also yessss norn9 was my obsession way back when! i loved it so much but i the game was only on ps vita and i never had that, so i stuck to watching the anime (which was fantastic). now tho it’s supposed to be coming out in march (and the sequel will be some time in 2023) so i’m sooooo happy i can finally play that game 😭😭😭😭
