I love my job so much it's the best job I ever had but the unique thing abt teaching elementary kids is that elementary kids are evil in a way that makes you love them and hate being around them

Anyways if anyone has any recommendations on how to make 7 and 8 year olds listen other than just going apeshit and jumping out the window I'd love to hear it

First day of First Grade (open rp)

Hikari felt super excited. It was her first day in Taiyou-sensei’s first grade class. She loved kindergarten, but now that she’s bigger, she’s going to the big kid classes. And she heard that Taiyou-sensei had the best first grade class ever.

He was so nice and fun and never got mad unless he needed to.

His classroom was so bright and colorful and full of all sorts of stuff to help the kids learn. She was excited to learn all kinds of new things, from math to reading and art and music.

But she was the most excited about feeding the class pet. A black and white ferret named Kuroshiro.

She climbed onto the bus to meet with her kindergarten friends, who were now her first grade friends.

“This is gonna be the bestest yeaw evew!” She cheered.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Mom and I went to Gus's class Valentine's Day party this afternoon. He didn't know I was coming, so he was stoked. He has a lot of spastic energy these days and visiting his class served as a welcome reminder to me that pretty much all first-graders have that kind of energy.

I left a little before the party was over to go handle some work things. On my way out of the school building, Mr. Windsor the librarian said, "So how does it feel to have a genius for a kid?" I smiled, and then he said, "No really, he's amazing." I was quite proud and couldn't wait to tell Mom when they got home. (I didn't tell Gus because we're already dealing with quite the ego. I don't know where he gets that part of his personality.) (Yes, I do. It's me.)

MY FIRST (formal kinda??) OFFERING TO LOKI YAYAYAYA

I offered Hi-Chew candies (strawberry, mango and green apple), a bead work I did for him that says “lokiii” three I’s because I couldn’t decide what color the beads should be and I honestly thought he’d find it funny because I do. I offered a paper in the bag with the candy that had “hail loki” written on it in rune. Also a gold ribbon that I got from German class while making Schultüte which is rite of passage for 1st graders in Germany and a intended color scheme of red, green, black and gold because those are their favorite colors (someone who works closely with him mentioned that in a video),but also incorporated other colors like orange and pink. Orange because of his red hair and pink because I again I couldn’t decide on a bead color and because I just liked it. I also just now realize that one of the I’s is blue, I added that because it found its way to my pile of beads I was working with. A fox trinket tray that I love. And finally a squishy that lays on top of the bag and a cute little pumpkin tin. After I made it I realized it looks kinda like the Schultüte I made before in class and said “now we both have Schultüte”. I didn’t really know what to say so all I said was confirming it was theirs and what I said before. So yeah :D and while making it I was talking out loud with the intention of talking to him, just me rambling about what I was doing and other unrelated stuff. I guess like Schultüte this is my first step into my relationship with him and deity work. I am a Lokean first grader :) any ideas on my next offering? I wanna do candles but mom says no fire so..

im remembering something in art class like in first grade where we had to draw our friend so i drew my best friend but I said that it looked so ugly because i was and still am shit at drawing and everyone on the group table we had said "thats extremely rude y'know!" and i was saying my art was ugly not my friend and i think she forgot about it hopefully

My first grade teacher who was horrible and mean to every student passed away on Saturday and my mom just told me and I don't know how to respond because I don't want to seem mean. Like she made me cry in front of my entire class and I still remember how mean she was and I'm 25. Am I supposed to respond with that I'm sorry she's dead?
