Solstice is almost here :> Been meaning to do a Loki solstice piece between doing Warhead pages and the only time I managed to find was before and after I was sick with the flu for a week.

I feel like Loki would be a great storyteller. He'd bounce around the fire being theatrical and shape shifting into the characters in the story to give it life. He's making everyone laugh and feel safe. 🥺💚🫶

Hail Loki, God of Mischief, Spirit of the Hearth and Home, Protector of the Young and the Outcast.

Thank you for coming crashing into my life. For being an enigmatic trickster who laughs as I rage about your latest trick. For protecting me from that which wishes me fear and harm. For taking words used against me to encourage me to be myself as I am. For bringing smiles and laughter whenever you appear. For giving me the acceptance that no one else would give.

The other day, in a server I'm in, someone described Loki's methods as "I'm going to break your bone again so that it heals right this time", and I've just been thinking about that a lot.

on the list of many things Loki has taught me so far:

"some of the hardest hurdles are the ones we have to go through; to bloom into something more. It's harsh like the freezing winters but i will be the raging fire to welcome you into safe arms" — loki

Nine Lokean Virtues:

1. Truth: Be real. Be true to yourself and allow others follow their own truth.

2. Humor: Learn to find the humor in things, especially yourself.

3. Humility: If you need to tie your balls to a goat to accomplish your goals, suck it up buttercup.

4. Cunning: Try to think outside the box. Don't make a mess so big that you can't figure your way out of it.

5. Transformation: Don't be afraid of change, because that's how we grow. Don't be afraid of self-examination and listen to constructive criticism.

6. Creativity: Create awesome stuff. Try new things out. If you don't like it, blow it up and try again.

7. Accountability: You are the only one in charge of your own destiny, your own life, and your own actions.

8. Empathy: Try to see things from more than one perspective. Shape-shift into someone else's shoes before you pass judgement.

9. Experimentation: A mistake is only a mistake if you do it twice. Until then, everything is an experiment.

Y'all, Thor is so great. If you need just a solid buddy, he's your guy. We just shot the shit for a while tonight, and it was just lovely. He really gives a shit about us, about humanity. (I mean, protecting us is kinda his Thing™️, after all.) Having spent a little more time with him, I see why he and Loki share so many stories with one another. Neither of them is dumb or weak, but their respective strength and cunning pair really nicely when you wanna get up to some shit. Even if your partner in crime has a slightly different agenda than your own. Add Odin into the mix and you've truly got a sitcom on your hands. Earlier this week I was talking with Thor and Loki together, and Odin just showed up like, "Who the fuck was gonna tell me y'all were hanging out?" What a kooky fucking bunch. I love these dorks. 10/10, would hang out again. ❤️

Loki understands rage about injustices. They understand the grief that comes, too. They understand that the Chaos that comes before the healing hurts. They know. They understand.

They will sit with you while you grieve. They will hold you while you heal.
