The anti style climb… crimps.

It’s been three months of climbing with tape on my right hand middle finger, and I’m finally freeeee!!! I have added in a more thorough finger warm up to my routine with help from a Tension block. I want to work more on my crimp strength and to not stray away from them in the gym.

this is non comic or OSP related, so sorry if i'm overstepping, but do you have any advice for someone that wants to move/exercise more but is utterly unmotivated?(not exercise for muscles, just movement for the sake of movement)

Honestly? Think of something physically demanding you want to be able to do. Stuff like hiking and/or climbing rough terrain, running free with the wind in your hair, swordfighting, stunt falls, sick metal gear combat rolls - anything that has ever made you sit up and think "I wish I could do that!" Once you reframe movement and exercise as a way to make your body capable of more fun things, it becomes a lot easier to stay motivated.

Fun fact I used to consume a lot of Land of the Lustrous stuff.

Anyways this is one of my many Land of the Lustrous OCs, Vivianite. Mohs hardness of 1.5, dark green/blue in colour, and very old. Due to the nature of his weak composition, Vivianite can't actually do much of anything, and has had to live under very specific conditions.

Vivianite wears a tight full body uniform to hold any chipped pieces in place, and is kept in a box stuffed with loose cloth to ensure minimal damage. If he comes into contact with light, he begins to oxidize and darken, so he's kept in a windowless room with curtains over the entrance.

That's all to say he's isolated and bored. He spends much of his time inactive, but he'll jump at the opportunity for conversation if there's someone around. Certain gems visit him to chat, get guidance, or give him the recent news. A task given to some gems is to clear his room of dust, and maybe bring him some books if he's up for it.

Vivian sees himself as an older sibling/friend to many of the other gems, and as such he's very keen on providing a listening ear and giving advice where possible to those who need it. He's essentially emotional support in a can.

Other notes/details:

not all gems know Vivian exists! He's hidden away so most gems wouldn't see him unless they were actively looking for him. A lot of the older ones know about him, but the younger ones don't

Rutile is endlessly tired of having to glue him back together so often due to his softness, which is part of why he has a tighter uniform to keep all his broken pieces in place

Vivian struggles with walking, he tends to be slow and stumbly

the tanks in Vivian's room are for jellyfish. Gems who are sent to clean his room have to switch out the jellyfish too. They're there to provide a faint light source so he doesn't go completely inactive

Vivian, despite living in a box in the dark, has a lot of technical knowledge about things as a result of millennia of going through the library collection. He' a living encyclopedia and can usually offer some answers if a gem has questions on a particular subject

his internal structure is basically a lot of shards stuck together like fibers, so he does minor repairs on himself by affixing strands of his hair into empty spots. He's had his fingers repaired and replaced this way often

In the few instances where Vivian has gone outside, he has an abnormally high amount of energy as a result of his inclusions being able to work at full capacity in the light

Just got this art commission from the amazing @haflacky, for my fic With His Bloodstained Hands.

In it, Izzy and Ed have a more intimate relationship pre-canon, and Izzy's role as someone who commits violence in Ed's name is much more explicit. He often gifts Ed with the severed body parts of men who insult or threaten him, even as he eschews traditional affection. So this time, when kraken!Ed wakes Izzy in the middle of the night, he doesn't cut off any of Izzy's appendages... he asks Izzy to do it for him. And Izzy does.

He'll do anything to reignite the fire within Edward... even if it means using himself as kindling.

"Gege sucks at writing" this, "we need to hunt Gege down" that- with all the anger towards a final arc where we have a villain who we've been TOLD FROM THE BEGINNING is extremely dangerous and capable of fucking up EVERYONE, and there being an actual struggle on the part of the heroes- I am genuinely hoping that Sukuna wins just so I can see these people melt down over it. Give me my villain wins Shonen, Gege. Show me the real meaning of a horror/action manga.

wano spoilers, ch. 1036-1042

i watched the ryuma one-shot before i got to the zoro vs king fight in wano, so only now i can appreciate the name of it even more! this connection between shimotsuki ryuma and zoro keeps getting better and better

plus the parallels of kaido and king, vs luffy and zoro are so insane! smth smth about saving a person (from navy/government) and they become so loyal to you and will want you to become the king of the pirates with their whole being, where your dream becomes their own in a way. different situations and people, but there's something soooo similar, it's very interesting! (one piece really doesn't have any captain and his right-hand man with just normal relationship aksjdskjd)

(and the luffy flashback!! even this one small panel of luffy from the mihawk fight and zoro promising to be stronger for him! to stand in future as the greatest swordsman beside king of the pirate!

it's so impactful! it's incredible how much it still gives zoro the strength after all that time. i will have to watch the anime of these parts, bc i read there's their first meeting scenes reanimated! can't wait to see that!)

zoro becoming king of hell after his fight with king and because of his enma sword?!! the sword that chooses its wielder and which wouldn't serve anyone weak, which recognizes what strength means to zoro and what his dreams/goals are?? incredible, brilliant, showstopping!

and then zoro seeing death itself?? and telling it not to kill him!

it rlly makes me wonder of these consequences of the drugs he took to become stronger. (which is another stuff i keep thinking about zoro and how he always thinks of himself as weak, not strong enough.. theres a lot to unpack here, but im so tired ;-;)

+ few chapters later, 1042, there was also one panel with luffy vs kaido that caught my attention, with luffy covering his mouth saying 'don't leave me yet, strength!' which is kind of unusual for him to say to himself something like that.

(which in combination of these two fights, where it could be assumed they're happening simultaneously, it's an interesting similarity - where neither zoro or luffy's body is listening to them much. one almost dead, the other losing strength...)

We are on a rope with the twinxcanon aus babyyy so to contribute to the pile what if just twin Shiki was inserted into canon satoru’s body?? God just imagine the fallout since she’s much less hinged than Satoru. Even better if she still has her meodp. People are gonna think prison realm drove Satoru straight into insanity

Ooh this. Is such a fun idea, anon. Is Prison Realm driving people insane canon-confirmed, or a fandom idea? I think I only recall 'one occupant at a time' so Prison Realm can't be used again until the prisoner is either released or commits suicide... but in the case of suicide, arguably it's because they were driven insane, right.

So people see a Gojo Satoru who's been driven insane, but no one really questions it because it makes sense, it's terrible and awful and horrifying, but it makes sense.

Shiki is just really confused and really upset that her brother is nowhere around. Suguru isn't around, either! And neither are Nanami or Haibara or Amanai!

Man, this world sucks.
