Pre-Sales for Filmmaking
Good morning. I’ve enjoyed my return to wordpress and communicating here again.
In case you missed it, I created a post with specific information for film financing. I included 3 videos, all by Sky Moore, and summarized his main points. I learned a ton from summarizing the videos so I have decided to do it again today. Furthermore, the information he provides is practical. I’ve seen far too many…

i think more ace attorney fans should watch the live action film i think it is a very fun movie and even with some of its changes i still find it a good adaptation.. it introduces some fun stuff too like giving phoenix a white coat to contrast with edgeworths black one. also fun to notice when you watch that phoenix’s actors smile is very :3 shaped and i think that is so silly.

If fandoms have taught me anything, it's that "I love you." is one of the weakest confessions I have heard.
Not that there's anything wrong with it but in the middle of magical chaos and death defying events, I would like to hear something other than "ily babe"

I’ve never made a comic before but this joke has been occupying my brain since this video came out. Turns out no one else is in my brain lol so looks like I have to do everything around here myself. ID under cut!
[Image ID: A seven-panel primarily black-and-white comic featuring Athena Cykes filming a TikTok of Simon Blackquill. Simon is dressed in a plain white tee and black sweatpants. His hair is tied half-up in a bun. From our perspective, there is a clothing rack to his left.
Panel 1: Simon has a neutral expression and gestures to himself as he speaks, his right hand in his pocket. He says: “Hullo, I’m Simon. I’ve been told to show off my Japanese t-shirt collection.”
Panel 2: Simon holds up a dark grey shirt with Japanese lettering on it. He has a small but proud smile on his face. He says: “This one says ‘beef.’ A bit simple, but I find that quite humourous.”
Panel 3: Simon holds up a light grey shirt with a different Japanese phrase on it. He looks like he’s trying to hold back laughter and he’s pointing up with his left hand. He says: “Ah. This one is one of my best ones. It says ‘Danger: Asbestos.’ It was a good Ross find.”
Panel 4: Simon holds up a medium grey shirt with another different Japanese phrase on it. His side profile is shown as he ponders the shirt with his left hand on his chin. He says: “This one--wait, I don’t remember buying this one.” A little blurb with her face on it shows Athena cutting in, asking “What does it say?” Simon responds with “’Dragon,’ it looks like.”
Panel 5: Athena’s face moves to the top of the screen so that she can yell “DRAGON THESE NUTS ACROSS YOUR FACE!!” In large, red letters. Simon hasn’t changed pose.
Panel 6: Red lines showing shock appear next to Simon’s face. He wears a cartoon-ish expression with a wide eye while still in his pondering pose.
Panel 7: Simon recovers and summons “Taka.” in large red letters. Red light is coming out of his eyes, like he found his target. Taka is motion blurred in the foreground and Athena’s shocked face at the bottom yells “SIMON--” while also motion blurred. End ID.]

Extraordinary Attorney Woo & the negativity surrounding its representation
Not autistic but physically disabled and honestly I wish people had the negative energy they seem to direct to this show to shows that are actually harmful and have overall negative depictions of the minority populations that they're trying to portray. Not this show that's actually trying and by all accounts seems to handle the subject of autism with all the care that they currently can.
If you're upset that the actress playing the main character isn't autistic herself that's fair but you're not taking into account the social and economical background of where this show is made.
Going really personal here but I'm really tired of people simply dunking on the show because the actress who plays the main character may be neurotypical. As mentioned above I am physically disabled, I am also East Asian. My parents and I had emigrate to Canada so I could obtain an education. Many disabled people in Asia can't attain an education simply because there is no nationwide support system for disabled folks to do so many things like obtain an education.
So taking into account the environment which this show is made its simply too much to ask for an autistic actress to play the titular character. Does that suck? Yes it does! But you're not helping in any way whatsoever if you're simply dunking on the show for this reason. As shows like this one can act as vehicles for positive reform and change.
In fact South Korea itself has a history of enacting positive reform because a popular piece of media brought national attention to the issue. The events depicted in the 2011 film Silenced starring Gong Yoo which were based on real life events led to a national outcry and South Korea abolishing the statute of limitations for sex crimes against minors and disabled people. You can read more about it: here
