“What do you mean we have to have another group member?” is what Chan had asked the management that morning, hours before he came to see a certain person. “I don't know why you claim it's that difficult for you to find someone else '' is what he heard in return. angry at the fact that the company was so cool about adding a new member into the group, he went to find solace somewhere where he knew he'd always be welcome.

Thea opened the door after hearing the soft ringtone of her doorbell. Although she was not that alarmed to find someone outside, she was surprised to see him. “chris? What are you doing here at the crack of dawn?? it's like 3am.. why are you still awake and about?” she asked him as she moved a little to let the man enter her apartment. “I could ask you the same thing, Isa… why are you still awake?” chuckling, Chan replies to her and drops off his bag and laptop on the girl's coffee table and plops down on her couch. “you know what? good question and I won't be answering that” she answers and heads to grab him some water.

the man watches her, anxious. with her back turned to him, she mumbles “you look nervous. what's the matter?” embarrassed that he got caught, he sheepishly rubs his hands on the back of his neck and chuckles “of course you know when I'm feeling nervous “. giving him the water and sitting across from him, she nods, urging him to spill whatever that was bugging him.

“You know how we just.. uhm.. we're just an eight member group now?” she nods. “The company wants us to find a new member…” he confesses. she looks surprised for a second but recomposes herself. “I mean I'm not totally surprised.. it's jyp entertainment, what do you expect?” she chuckles but stops when she realizes he's not chuckling with her. “So what have you planned now?” she asks him, leaning close with her elbows on her knees.

“I came to ask you a favor…” he drags out and she immediately knows. She knows what he wants to ask her and she shakes her head and stands up. “christopher….” he stands up with her, almost pleading. “Isa please.. you're the best match for us.. you fit in perfectly with us… please Isa.. please…” he says almost begging her to join them. she shakes her head. “I can't just come and join somewhere i'm not wanted chris. the boys didn't want me in the group, you didn't want me in the group in the beginning.. and now that you want a replacement, you come here asking me to do it.. and I can't i’m sorry…” she tells him.

He aggressively shakes his head “Isa I never wanted to leave you behind. I promise… those happened because of how the company wanted it to happen. I swear I didn't want to leave you behind.” “But you didn't even fight for me christopher!” she shouts at him "i did!! I did fight for you Bella I promise! I did whatever I could'' she hears him say as she sits down on the couch. He kneels down next to her slowly and takes her hands into his. “we need you Isa.. please.. think about it.. I'm not asking you to give me the answer today or tomorrow… think about it for me.. please?” he whispers to her and gets up to get his things to leave. she sighs and gets up to bid him bye. as soon as she closes the door, she lets out a deep sigh she was holding on.

She shakes her head and heads to bed after seeing the time on her nightstand and realizing how late it was. The next morning is no different than her usual routine. except the fact that she woke up to three missed calls from the company. she dials back after she finishes getting ready for the day. “Hello?” she asks. “Thea! How are you? it's been so long!” she hears jyp, the man himself reply back. After catching up for a few minutes, he got straight to the point. “I assume Chan had told you what was going on?” she sighed for the first time that morning before answering. “Yeah.. he did” she heard a small chuckle on the other line “do you wanna discuss it over call or do you want it to be a face to face conversation? I’m fine with either yejin-ah” he told her.

Agreeing that it was best to talk in person about this, she left for the company after ending the call with him. It took her about thirty minutes in traffic for her to reach and when she got there, she greeted everyone as usual before she made her way to the door that said ‘park jinyoung- CCO/Founder’ and then she knocked and waited for it to open. Once it did, it revealed the man himself. “Thea! come in, come in! Make yourself comfortable. Should I call for Chan or shall we talk first before we call him?” he asked her as she sat on the chair next to her. “We’ll talk first if that’s okay with you.” he nodded and he took a seat in his chair across from her. “So, what do you say?” he asks her. She takes a few seconds to answer him.

And when she finally does, her answer surprises him. “I’ll do it.” he looks up at her in surprise so she repeats her words. “I’ll do it. I’ll join the group.” he smiles at her and nods. “That’s good. Are you sure? I assume Chan spoke to you just yesterday. I was gonna ask you if you needed some time to think but you answered so soon.” he asks her. She nods back and replies “I thought about it all night. I won't give you an exact explanation on why I said yes but please do know that this is not an impulsive decision and that I've thought about it very thoroughly.” she tells him very firmly.

He looks happy with her response and smiles at her. “Very well. I don't doubt you for it because I know you. I know that you won't do anything without going over it a million times. Now, since we as a company troubled you with this, I'll give you the power to choose something important. As you are aware, your trainee contract is expiring soon and the fact that you need a new one to debut, i’ll let you decide how long you want that to be. The boys are all signed for the usual period of seven years but since it’s been about a year since they debuted, now it's on for six more years. It’s your choice on the duration of your contract” he says.

Thea nods relieved of that choice she has. She thinks for a few minutes and does the math in her head. After about ten minutes, she opens her mouth to reply. “I need to have two contracts, am I correct? One for myself as an artist and one as a group member.” She asks him to confirm the facts one more time before giving him an answer. “Yes. That is how things work.” he tells her as he anticipates her answer. “I’ll sign the same as the boys for the group contract. But for the individual one, I'll sign for three years for now. I’ll renew if needed after that.” she answers him confidently as she looks at him. He nods understandingly. “Very well. I’ll tell the manager of the group to give you the contracts for you to sign later in the afternoon. For now I'll inform the board about the changes and you can go train with them for their upcoming comeback. We can discuss if you want to join in for this comeback or the next later” he says to her and leads her outside his room.

Thanking him, she makes her way through the hallways and soon enough she finds herself outside of a particular door. Even before she can knock, the door opens and she’s face to face with the man who visited her last night. “Bella? W-what are you doing here?” he asks her, rubbing his eyes to see clearly. She looks at him and crosses her arms across her chest. “Did you pull an all-nighter?” she asks him, narrowing her eyes. He rubs his nape in embarrassment and chuckles. “I didn't! I slept!” she looks at him as if asking him if he was seriously lying to her. He finally chuckled and accepted that he did not sleep and hence cued the scolding from her.

Even though he was the older one, she was always the one who nagged him a lot. He did find it endearing so he never complained. After explaining the whole situation to her future leader, he hugged and thanked her for doing such a thing for him. And when she got home after all the meetings with the board and with the members and discussing all the matters involving her debut, it was already eleven in the night. Exhausted from the day, she plopped down on her bed after her night routine and thought of the next day’s schedule. She had to pack her stuff to move into the stray kids dorm.

It was very weird for her to call herself a member of stray kids now. It felt surreal for her. It was only yesterday she was a trainee, now she’s an official member of the said band. She knew that if the news went public in a few days, the majority of the response would be negative and she was ready to accept that. The hate comments are not new to her but it does not hurt less every time but she’s grown used to it than before. She's a lot braver than she used to be and she’s ready to face anything for her dream.

It's only a few months after debuting, she realizes that she’s finally found the people that she can call her home and she has finally found the thing she’s been yearning for.

* ´ 𓈀 WICTHERED : EVERLAST … a nine-membered fictional boy group under melody media, created by the mid 2018 survival show, EVERLASTING. the group officially debuted on november 20th, 2018 but originally debuted in JULY of that year.

after their ORIGINAL debut, they were met with a small amount of success, just barely being able to gain enough traction to allow MELODY MEDIA to continue promoting them, instead of the idea of completely scrapping the group and making a new lineup based off of the other trainees on the show. this never happened, however, as their DEBUT song was removed from all platforms and became inaccessible to the public before their now widely recognized debut with the single ‘SUPERHUMAN’ was released in november of that same year.

EVERLAST are known for their unique sound and are often referred to as the boy group who ‘make the noisiest music ever’ and ‘can barely produce two beats’. despite their controversial reputation, EVERLAST have now become a household name in the music industry despite releasing a failed debut and a few singles that only attracted crickets.

Rin's brother has always been the biggest constant in her life, the first time that she was away from him was when she moved to Korea to be an idol. He is the calm to her chaos, her voice of reason ever since she was young always making sure she didn't take any rash decisions.

Rin's parents adopted him on a family trip to china when Rin was barely a year old after doing some medical tests and such it was found that Longyu was two years old which made him a year older to Rin. Longyu has always been a calm person preferring to stay quietly at home and read books and talk with his mom rather than go out but he'd often go and hangout with Rin's friends to 'chaperone' and make sure she stays safe. He is a very collected and level-headed person with Rin being the only one who can actually test his limits.

XueXue is a princess to put it simply she is very much spoilt and she adores it. She has her own closet and picks her own accesories of the day!!!

Spiky is an African Pygmy hedgehog.

Spiky was found on the roadside under heavy rain one time when Rin's dad was on his way home from work so he picked the little hedgehog up and decided to care for him.

Spiky is a solitary animal preferring to spend time in hos cage or walk alone in the garden although he loves bath time and has shown to get extremely excited during that time playing around in the water even accepting pets and cuddles

Xun is a pekingese dog which is a breed native to china

Xun along with his mother and siblings was rescued by Rin's father from a breeder. Xun's mother sadly passed away from the extensive stress of the breeding corporation. Rin's father decided to adopt Xun after all of his siblings had been adopted by various people.

Xun has a constant case of the zoomies always running around and wanting to play and have fun, constantly barking to draw attention. running up and down the stairs even occasionally tripping people or breaking artifacts. But it's all okay cause he's a cutie.

Rin tells people that they were named after coco chanel and celine dion but really coco was named after chocolate and cece was named after cece from shake it up...

coco and cece are two chinchillas. Rin adopted them in the year 2013 from a friend who was moving to Australia since they're illegal in Australia.

coco is the one with darker fur while cece has lighter fur

personality wise the two differ greatly coco is pretty playful and loves interacting with the other pets or people who come and go into the house where as cece has a specific list who are allowed to touch her.

Thirio is a leopard gecko

Thirio was adopted from a pet shelter only sometime after coco and cece were adopted since he was the closest Longyu could get to a real life dinosaur.

very much unlike the meaning of his name Thirio is a very silly guy and loves to make funny faces. The only beastly thing he does is eat the way he eats.

Naryun feels the spinning of her head before she hears the ringing in her ears.

The disorientation throws her for a loop as her conscious screams at her to get up. To do something. She figures something is all wrong when her body can’t seem to understand what her nerves are trying to say. They scream and scream at her legs to push themselves up from her spot; all crumpled on the hard, unforgiving ground. They cry and cry at her neck to swivel itself in a direction— any direction possible; it refuses.

Slowly, she begins to make sense of the chilled grass beneath her, starting to thaw from the heat she feels is escaping her at such a speed she thought was just an exaggeration the true crime stories used to describe the hopeless helplessness she feels at the very moment.

Her fingers dig into the ground, feeling the dirt blend into the carefully manicured prettiness of her nails. It’s an ugly contrast that barely manages to shock her as her eyes peel themselves open. Even if it had shocked her, she wasn’t sure her brain would have been able to process the emotion.

The stabbing tingle of her fingers pulls her hazy attention away from the ground and to the metal on her tongue. The tang of her blood trickles down her chin so slowly it nearly itches. Her eyes can barely bring themselves to fully adjust to the scene in front of her with all of the lights blinding her vision and that god-awful ringing in her ears.

The ringing was supposed to be the worst part.

The inability to process anything besides the dirt underneath her frigid body was supposed to be the worst part.

Instead, the worst part was that she couldn’t bring herself to want to fix it. As if the warming grass beneath her had consumed every fiber of her will, Naryun had no interest in fixing the disorientation or the frigidity. And she definitely had no interest in stopping the ringing that spun her mind and made her nerves scream in an endless loop that made her feel absolutely mad with suffering.

A scream finds a way to escape the confines of her hoarse throat. Slipping through the reddened glow of her whitened teeth and out of her body with such force it rips her voice away from her. The second scream comes as a lower groan and the third is lower still. It is the strength of her whispers that finally tear her will from her. The lights and the ringing begin to still before she can attempt to make sense of them. Stillness—and her sister comfort—embrace Naryun into a void that welcomes her so gently that she doesn’t even miss the ringing in her ears.

It must be hours later when Naryun is finally coaxed out of stillness and back into awareness. Her body shivers from the cold and her nose flares as it takes in the sterility of the hospital air. The mattress beneath her is just as cold as the grass she had last felt the ringing. The ringing itself is gone, though she now longs for its return instead of the screaming she can’t quite register from outside of the hospital room door. The inability to register the words thrown amid argument cannot hide the voices the words belong to— even in her state of slow consciousness.

With a groan, she reaches for the button she’s sure is not too far from her side. The buzz of the alert is fuzzy and barely recognized as she attempts to block out the insults spinning around her head. A young nurse rushes over to the newly alert idol, slowly taking in the sight of her hands covering her ears with her eyes gently adjusting to the fluorescent LED lights hanging overhead.

“Miss—”

“Please tell the divas with the dyed hair to shut the fuck up.”

She throws in a gentle smile to soften the harshness of her words, hoping the poor nurse wouldn’t take her irritation to heart. With a shallow bow, the blue-scrubbed woman carefully exits the room, Naryun almost laughs to herself when she sees Melanie’s head whip around. Her brown eyes make contact with Naryun’s darker ones, drawing a clear path from her place between the three bodies flanking both of her sides. Her shoulder nudges Heri’s whose features twist in concern before following Narae’s eyes to the group’s soft-spoken vocalist.

“Can you tell everyone that you’re perfectly fine?” Melanie’s words are as brash as expected. Naryun catches Karin’s labored exhale as she presses against her tanned temples.

“What- what are you talking about?” Naryun shallowly chokes out, coughing hoarsely before Will raises a bottle of water to her lips. It is at that moment that Naryun realizes her right hand is bandaged up, thumb set in its place, a stark contrast drawn between the forced restraints keeping her in place and the impatient pacing Melanie charts in front of Naryun’s hospital bed.

“Karin and I think that it would be best if you—and the rest of the group take a break from any public activities-” Will, the parent company’s PR representative is cut off by a bright-eyed Australian accent.

Melanie cuts into his words, inserting her thoughts into the conversation.

“Which is overkill because you’re fine, right?”

There’s a hidden force beneath Melanie’s words, one that Naryun is sure only she and Heri pick up on between the five people occupying the sterile room. Naryun’s eyebrows furrow as the boom of Melanie’s voice pounds against her temples. She’s much louder than Will is, more forceful, much less gentle.

“Melanie,” Karin speaks up with a warning. Her gentle stiffness contradicts Will’s all-around gentleness.

If she had even the slightest clue what Melanie was so worked up about Naryun might have even found the tension a bit humorous. But with Narae’s controlled anxiety and Heri’s flat-out anxiety, Naryun can’t help but find herself bothered by Melanie’s bluntness.

“I- I don’t..” She draws out, eyes closing as she grows frustrated with her brain which can’t seem to remember why she has a headache or why she’s in a garish white gown. Narae releases a controlled breath through her nose, taking a step towards Naryun the others in the room wouldn’t dare to.

“You were in an accident, bear.”

Bear. Her words are so gentle and so direct that it takes Naryun a moment to piece everything back together. Her twin sister’s hands softly tug at Naryun’s chestnut hair, eyes communicating much more than those nearly harmless five words.

“Car?” She whispers, unable to tear her eyes away from her sister’s. With a nod so quaint the other three miss it completely, Narae’s eyes lock onto Melanie’s figure, signaling all her sister needed to know at the moment.

Naryun swallows slowly bringing Will to draw closer, offering another needed sip of water. He begins to speak once more as he watches her drink from the bottle in his hand.

“We want to give you as much time as you need. I’ve spoken to the others, their priority is your recovery. Nothing happens without your word, Naryun.”

His calming tone does nothing to ease Naryun’s gradually quickening heart. Nothing could calm her heart when Melanie’s eyes blaze with a fierceness Naryun is much too familiar with.

Karin is the next to step forward. Motherly hands reach to envelop Naryun’s damaged ones in her own. “Take some time, go back home. We’ll circle back in a few months, okay?”

Naryun nods, incredulous as she takes in the two executives’ words while simultaneously trying to decipher Melanie’s stony expression as she leans against the frame of the door. A few moments of silence allow Naryun the clarity to finally voice her thoughts.

“What’s wrong with you?” Her two groupmates seem shocked by her lack of filter. The most conscious member pulled into a state of bluntness. A state that perfectly aligns with the bruising injuries that decorate her skin.

Melanie’s raised eyebrows illustrate her perplexion, releasing a much gentler, “Me?”, in response to Naryun’s frankness. Receiving a nod in confirmation, she sighs with her head hanging in what a stranger would view as shame. Naryun knows better than to believe the act so she waits in silence, eyes unbudging from Melanie’s figure.

She parts her lips to answer before quickly closing them. She repeats the action once more before finally pushing herself up to pace closer to the pale vocalist.

“Sunny-”

“Melanie, don’t fuck with me right now.”

Their eyes lock in a stare. Heri shifts uncomfortably in her spot. Karin’s hand reaches to massage her temples once more.

Melanie’s jaw clenches. “Naryun,” She tests out to begin. “You- I’ve been working really hard on my album, you know that better than anyone.” The switch in her word choice tells Naryun exactly where she was going.

Still, a little part of her wants to give her the benefit of the doubt, nodding twice to give her the okay to continue.

“If I wait on this, I risk missing my window-”

“Your window?” Narae scoffs. Will sighs. Karin remains silent.

Ignoring her completely Melanie continues. “A December release date. It’s perfect, you know that right?”

Naryun can’t help but blink up at the older girl. The silence in the room is thick, nearly strangling Melanie whose eyes have yet to let go of the fierceness Naryun despised. She struggles to find the words as her head continues to pound, louder than before, in response to the plea Melanie presents her with. Instead of responding, her head turns to face Heri whose eyes are fixated on the ground. Her bangs cover her face as she all but fades into the distant background of the tense conversation.

“Heri,” Naryun speaks up, grasping the attention of the younger girl.

“What do you think?”

Naryun feels her heartbreak at the vulnerability in Heri’s eyes. Her head shakes in a desperate plea to remain without a voice. This time it is Melanie who scoffs. Will sighs again. And Karin’s eyes roll so subtly that Naryun knows she’s hit a vein.

“I’m asking you what you think, Heri.” A little more forceful this time, Heri’s eyes close in discomfort as if wishing reality—or herself— to disappear.

She whispers lowly, “I can’t.”

Naryun’s eyes blaze as she whips her head towards Melanie. The blonde meets her eyes in challenge, a smirk reaching her own as her arms fold one over another.

“Heri.” Narae is the one to speak up this time. Melanie keeps staring at Naryun.

“It’s not fair!” She finally exclaims, cracking under the pressure of the three older idols. Her eyes continue to shy away from any eye contact, fixed to the floor as she hugs herself in self-comfort. Naryun holds her gaze on Melanie, urging the youngest girl to continue, “What’s not fair, Heri?”

Heri hesitates this time, chewing at her lip as it quivers in discomfort. Tears threaten to break at the surface before she finally finds the strength to look up from her found comfort on the floor. It’s at that moment that Melanie breaks the contest between Naryun and herself. Faux gentleness floods her eyes as the twins look on incredulously. Not yet understanding what was soon to occur, Narae turns to face Naryun whose jaw is set in a low anger.

“What’s not fair, Heri?” Melanie’s voice, echoing Naryun’s words, oozed with honeyed care. Her eyes warm with a comfort that only Heri can see. It’s that same comfort that finally draws the words out of Heri’s mouth.

“It’s not fair to Melanie.”

Karin and Will are shocked into silence as Narae struggles to contain her amazement. Naryun, who already knew what the girl’s next words would be, doesn’t react. Her breathing is even for the first time since she woke up, and her eyes stare straight ahead, through Karin and Will who struggle to believe Heri’s words.

Narae is the first to speak up.

“Is this a joke to you?”

Her voice cuts through the silence, aimed at Heri who refuses to look up at her, eyes back to their comfort spot on the floor.

“You cannot be serious.” Narae scoffs, turning to leave the room. Her footsteps are heavy as her cloud of disappointment follows her through the door of the hospital room.

“Melanie can have her album then. Since Heri thinks it’s unfair… Melanie can have her album. That’s fine.” Naryun’s words are curt, delivered with a level of restraint that manages to astonish even Melanie. Sensing the protests fighting to tumble from Will’s lips, Naryun eyes him with an air of decisiveness.

Karin, ever the businesswoman, clears her throat and turns to face Melanie.

“I’ll see that everything is finalized. I’m looking forward to hearing it.” Her lips purse in obvious disappointment as she carefully eyes Heri whose bowed head causes her hair to fall over her face once again. With a shake of her head, she exits the room.

Will, who says nothing, follows behind her, his phone pressed to his ear with seasoned speed.

Melanie reaches for Naryun’s hand, holding it so warmly that Naryun almost begins to understand Heri’s cowardice.

“I’ll be thinking about you the whole time. Thank you, hun.”

Her accent creeps into her pronunciation in a way that Naryun finds ironic considering her false sincerity. She glides out of the room with an ease that leaves Naryun numb with anger.

Heri turns to leave the room without a word of comfort. Head hanging low as she drags her feet across the gray vinyl flooring, following Melanie so predictably it finally draws a scoff out of Naryun. Stopping in her tracks, Heri looks up at the hospitalized vocalist. Naryun watches in distaste as a tear falls from Heri’s eyes leaving a wet path along her sunken cheeks.

“Do me a favor?” Heri speaks up cautiously.

Naryun doesn’t respond.

“Please don’t tell the others what I said.”

The edge of Naryun’s mouth twitches in response. Her nose flares as she tries, and fails, to contain herself.

“Do me a favor?” Naryun echoes her words.

She takes a deep breath as the pounding in her head finally clears and her voice returns to its full strength. A rush of will surges through her as she pushes herself up to her full height. Their eyes meet for the first time that day before Heri breaks the hold, another tear falling from her eyes.

“Let me know what her dick tastes like when she finally fucks you.”

Heri doesn’t respond.

more commonly referred to as ideal, is a fictional entertainment company based in seoul, south korea that's been around since 2006. created by producer nam cheongsik originally for his wife &. former idol corinne nam, the label was dedicated to helping corinne re-establish herself in the music industry after her sudden disappearance from the now infamous &. defunct girl group girls to the front, or girl front for short. though after a few observations of the current algorithm and demand of interest towards other companies, plans were changed. using their combined expertise of working with idol groups, the married couple decided to create their own.

what was an idea thrown out on a whim soon became the origin story for a legacy that's recognized worldwide. their small yet close-knit roster of artists makes them stand-out amongst the rest; ideal music focuses on reaching the highest potential for each of their artists individually and as a whole rather than debuting idols back to back. this formula has helped mass a nearly 100% rate of success for when they do debut new acts, the anticipation for what they put out next aiding into the immediate support given.

over the years, ideal music has gained a reputation for the company's tight-knit dynamic &. overall freedom given to their artists. whilst this seems like a positive, observers of the label noticed that not every act is given the same treatment as others. speculations of favoritism and nepotism have plagued ideal for a few years but nothing was ever confirmed nor denied. though in recent time, more and more inside sources have come out exposing the cult-like environment for their cover-ups and weird internal affairs.

disregarding the flaws slowly beginning to seep through the cracks their facade, ideal music is still named among other influential and successful entertainment companies worldwide. most of their household names have worked with dozens of other idols in the industry, easily cementing themselves among other high profile producers, lyricists, composers, and choreographers. because of this, many onlookers call this the ideal effect as their acts are often deemed the "ideal standard" thanks to their longevity and impact within the industry.

taking inspiration from the video vixen era of western music, VITAL IMAGE began as a modeling agency solely created to house the pretty faces that appeared in the earlier ideal music videos. staffed with both female and male models, the subsidiary was often reached out to by other companies for extras in their own productions. this sparked an era for VITAL as between 2009 - 2013, a lot of the love interests or backgrounds in music videos were utilized from here. in 2014, the sub-label was hit with a wave of models who wanted to branch off into either music or acting. it was here when VITAL decided to expand into housing actors as well - a cheap move that one article described the change to be in an attempt to keep their models signed entirely under them. since 2014, a lot of famous faces in both industries have been born and still continue to influence thousands of people each day. a few idols have also been birthed from VITAL with some even branching out the entertainment mold altogether.

LET'S EXPLORE NEW SCENES, abbreviated as L.E.N.S, is the production house under ideal music created back in september of 2012. the subsidiary label acted no different from other labels as they catered to make idol-specific mini series and variety content that was aired on networks like KBS, JTBC, and MNET. later down the line, L.E.N.S migrated into theatrical performances and documentaries following the surge of them with competing companies. after going into a partnership with neflix and hulu, the production house began creating their own movies and dramas that starred their signed talent from VITAL and IDEAL. this has led to many debates online about the "star-quality" these people actually possess with many accusing L.E.N.S of using "dolls" - a term basically meaning that their actors were just good to look at but held no real personality. despite the critiques, a lot of the productions created by the sub-label have done pretty well in the media, so it's safe to assume that at least someone likes their acting.

THE RISE OF TEENSTAR : TWINSTAR’S GIRL GROUP SUPERNOVA

ALTHOUGH ANNOUNCED TO THE WORLD IN 2018, TEENSTAR had been in the works for years prior. hwayeon and hwayoung had always been interested in the music industry, watching the rise and fall of idol groups since the humble beginnings of their own company. avid fans of GIRL’S GENERATION and BROWN EYED GIRLS, it wasn’t long until they expressed their wishes to their aging father—who was never one to disappoint his daughters.

auditions were held in secret in 2015 as the agency performed as usual, being able to coast under the cover of their models and actors’ fame. the goal was to search far and wide for four girls who fit the twins’ standards—from vocal abilities to performance and presence to even their personalities. the trainees all underwent strenuous singing and dancing exams, all to see who would tap out and who would push on for the chance at stardom. and by the time 2016 rolled around, they had their polished four ready.

debuting with a bang, TEENSTAR hit the idol scene with their hit debut song ‘달라달라 (DALLA DALLA)’. unashamed and loud, members HYEWON, CHAERI, LOUA, and JANELLE were introduced to the world in loud colors and an expressive anthem celebrating their differences and being proud of them. despite the debut’s commercial success, the song received mixed reviews from critics and new listeners. due to their growing popularity, it wasn’t long until TEENSTAR accumulated something akin to a diehard fanbase that gained a split reputation for either being some of the nicest people to rabid fans who would not stand any shred of negativity towards the girls.

it seemed that TEENSTAR had it down to a science when it came to their discography, each song amassing millions of streams by both their dedicated fans and strongest haters. from pop ear worm FANCY YOU to the vocal-led rnb hit WOWOW, you were tuned in to whatever the girls brought out whether you liked it or not.

the group disbanded not too long after the devastating loss of members CHAERI and LOUA, leaving a gaping hole in the hearts of fans and the company alike. after three years of silence, an album of unreleased tracks would be released on the anniversary of their deaths to celebrate the talented lives they had lost in that horrible crash. to this day, fans still block off the street where TWINSTAR is located in memoriam three times a year: on LOUA’s birthday, CHAERI’s birthday, and the anniversary.

┈─ 𖧷 MURDER, SHE WROTE PT. ONE ﹕ NAIYANA CHANTARANGSU. genre, angst. ( the ghost of someone you thought you knew lingers not. ) tw, murder ( and death, in the same vein ), self preservation in the form of being agreeable, reemergence of ghosts from the past. featuring, naiyana, jiho, and ████.

as a job well done ( or so she supposes ), she’s issued time off. the fans are told their beloved naisu is taking creative leave to come up with something even more dazzling that the last album and her near cult following eats the news up as if starved. her instagram post—a monochromatic picture of yesterday’s sunset—details a bit of a more personal side to her leave and thousands of comments are left in her wake wishing her well. the comments telling her to eat well! almost make her smile. almost.

jiho has missed four of her scheduled visits. four is an even number. divided in half, and then half once again. jiho never did things in halves. if she said she was coming, then she was going to be there. and with every day that ticked by without the older woman busting the door to her apartment down, she grew restless.

this was good, though. was it not? it proved that even jiho herself was not exempt from making mistakes. she, too, deviated from routine, but even that alone was not enough to make her feel better. jiho would have let her know that she would have rescheduled her visit. jiho made it a point to prove that she would still oversee that she wasn’t straying from her duties no matter how many miles stretched between them.

the message went unsaid. she was still a doll, even with the small liberties she had. but it was far better than being cooped up in that giant playhouse where everyone smiled even in the face of tragedy.

nahee. all searches of a jeong nahee lead to dead ends and brick walls, the world wide web scrubbed clean of any indication that the jeongs even had a daughter to begin with. but naiyana saw her. she had learned her name in the faint tally marks around door frames masked by paint and stray articles of clothing she knew couldn't have belonged to her. and then the scratched out name in corners on the floors and walls. nahee. she existed and that was proof but it wasn’t much. and the house helps never did like to gossip around her.

against all reason telling her not to, she packs a suitcase and returns to the place she could have called home, once upon a time. she’s torn between the burden of knowing and wishing she was oblivious.

the ride isn’t far. jiho did always like to say she was just a stone’s throw away from the bustling city of seoul, and the thirty minute commute to gangnam-gu humbles her. she tightens trembling hands around the handle of her suitcase and hails a taxi. the driver gives her a onceover that completely unravels her but doesn’t speak. she gives him the address and sinks into the seats as he pulls onto the road.

would she be mad if she visited? it’s not like she had anywhere else to go—she couldn’t be. jiho loved her, in a twisted way. she knew that. they’d sit and catch up like they always did. like mother and some semblance of a daughter.

she’s thrust out of her thoughts when the car makes an abrupt stop, lurching her body forward with a stunted gasp. naiyana grips the seat belt with wide eyes as her heartbeat accelerates.

“is something the matter?” her voice comes out small and frail. “what ha—”

she’s interrupted by the sudden movement in her peripheral, but when she turns to see what she’d missed, she’s only greeted with rows of elevated modern houses. the driver’s door slams open, making her jump, and before she can register what the hell is even happening, she finds herself being bodily hauled out of the car along with her suitcase.

naiyana can’t even speak. all the while, the driver’s actions become more and more frantic, all but throwing her handbag at her before hurrying back to his car. the only thing she catches before he backs up and out of view is a jumbled mess of words, just barely.

bad omen, bad energy. bad omen, bad spirits.

naiyana smooths her hair and clothes down with shaking hands. jiho hated wrinkles.

her hair is plastered to her face when she finally makes it to the front door. she hadn’t anticipated the possibility that it could have rained but when did it not? memories of cold fingertips and red cherries tended to resurface when it rained.

her heart lodges in her throat at the idea of dripping water onto the indoor carpet, but no one rushes to greet her when she pushes the front door open. the foyer is dimly lit, and the overhead chandelier in the parlor isn’t on. natural light streams through the open windows in angular strips that run jaggedly across the floor.

naiyana leans against the closed door and releases a breath. not a soul seems to be in the house at the moment, but that was fine. jiho had always talked about cutting staff for the smallest of reasons. maybe she’d finally reached her breaking point.

toeing her shoes off, she sheds her jacket and hangs it on a nearby hook to dry off, pattering in the direction of the kitchen. maybe she’d make something small and surprise her? she had been honing in her cooking skills to impress the miss. maybe something with rice, or—

something clatters against the marble flooring, sounding further inside the house. naiyana freezes in reaching for a pot, slowly standing up to her full height to listen with rapt attention for another sound. her heartbeat thrums against her ribcage once again. fear. she doesn’t dare announce herself. she’d watched more than enough television to know how poorly that went.

instead, she moves to arm herself with the very same pan she’d just been reaching before, but rethinks her decisions and reaches for a knife instead. the cameras outside of the house had seen her coming inside. she could argue self defense if she did end up killing an intruder.

would you truly be able to kill someone if it really came down to it? she had no idea. but if jiho was in the house with an intruder, she could be in danger. the guilt would weigh on her even more than if she killed someone with her bare hands.

slowly, she inches out of the kitchen and down the hall, her grip tight on the knife. fear heightens tenfold when she hears a hissed curse followed by frantic steps once she nears the staircase leading to the upper floor, swallowing nervously before she makes her ascent. slowly.

the cursing stops when she reaches the top step. as she walks down the hall, most of the rooms are closed with no noticeable shadows moving behind them. had jiho fired all of her staff? surely she would have kept some. jiho was not the kind of woman who did trivial things like cook by herself, especially growing old with age. the lack of human presence only served to scare naiyana even more, and she nearly drops the knife when she turns around.

the door to her room is wide open.

visibly trembling—from fear or the cold, she didn’t know—she inches her way towards her old room. the more she nears, the more she can hear slight scuffling, labored breathing. disorganization in a house that ran on routine. it prickles at her skin.

the first thing she sees when she reaches the entrance is dark red. stained against the pretty pink of her carpet in droplets that balloon into hurried smears. bloodied fingertips swipe against the white floors, the walls, her pristine sheets.

jiho’s body lies a few feet away from her. her eyes are unfocused, her tweed blazer-and-skirt set drenched in crimson. her heels are missing. her hair frames her face in a frenzied manner. she’s every bit the mess she prided herself not being.

she drops the knife in shock.

the clatter makes the hunched figure in the room startle, drawing her attention as it crawls out into the center of the room.

the bleak lighting frames onyx colored hair.

“naiyana.” her body stumbles backwards in a mixture of disbelief and despair, a strangled sound the only thing her throat can muster. she doesn’t know what to say. what could she say?

“nai?” a tear slips down her cheek, hot against her cold skin. bile rises in her throat when she feels gentle fingertips brush the surface of her skin, dizzy in knowing red is left behind.

“you killed her.” she manages to say, and the figure only smiles. there’s so much blood. “you killed her—”

“for you.” she hum softly. naiyana smells rain and cherries when her lips brush just shy of her skin. her stomach turns. “for you, because i love you.”

the girl smiles. “she won’t be able to separate us anymore.”

naiyana blinks and she’s fifteen again, begging, pleading for mercy. the last she’d seen of her, she’d given her a smile like naiyana’s life hadn’t crumbled to pieces in front of her.

she’d done everything correctly. she got good grades, was on top of her class, and her teachers liked her. she’d gone by the book. she was supposed to be happy something like this had happened. she was never happy when jiho was around, fear palpable enough to taste.

so why was she still frozen? her mother—notyourmothernotyourmother—dead a few feet away from her, her killer a face she thought had been dead, too?

“you still love me, right?” the girl pouts, her eyes searching her fear-stricken face with ease. “every day i missed you. every day i went over how this moment would go..”

jiho’s body twitches behind her. she suddenly feels very, very faint.

“you still love me, don’t you, nai? don’t you?”

focusing back at the girl—killer—before her, naiyana musters up a smile she hopes is convincing. she is not the girl you once felt love for. she is not the girl you once felt love for.

“of course i love you, aera.”

Rin met Ivy in the dance room of JYP, It was late night and because of some system error they had both booked the dance room for the same time so they ended up bumping into eachother as they tried to open the door at the same time. Coincidentally there was another evaluations team who was practicing there and quite frankly the team looked like a mess so these two decided to be gracious and let the team use the practice room with no other available option they went ahead and grabbed a late night snack together and thus ended up becoming fast friends.

Their hangouts mainly consist of dressing up real fancy to take pictured and then going to some nearby convenience store eating snacks and gossiping. Rin's has always been a huge fan of seventeen especially Rosalie and she thought that getting to work with woozi on an I.O.I song was the peak of her fan experience but obviously not. Rosalie heard about Rin after fans left comments under her lives about she has to meet Rin because they're both females in big boy groups and they both lived in France for long periods of time. Rosalie did a bit digging into it and found multiple clips of Rin gushing about her and decided to be a good senior so she had Woozi arrange a meetup in jyp under the pretense of talking something about lyrics and went to surprise Rin, and that is how the two became friends.

These two don't meet all that often since both of their groups are extremely busy all the time so they tend to make do with text conversations and phone calls. Rin went up to her and just started talking to her as if they were old friends to not make her awkward, they exchanged numbers and decided to stay in touch even after pfw so that's how the friendship started.

Their pics clicked by fans at pfw went viral with many shocked to see the two interacting due to their contrasting energies but Rin's overly energetic behaviour causes Chaewon to get out of here shell a bit more whereas Chaewon helps Rin stop and just enjoy occaisionally.
