she sighs. she knows why she's thinking of these things. she's had a meeting with a few of the lords of narbarad and look what she's gotten herself into now. all she wants is to avoid thinking of it for a while. shams closes the last shred of distance between them, stepping further into zain's space, her fingers hesitating before reaching out to hide her face between the crook of his neck. the princess hopes he doesn't notice, but she almost pouts. she moves her fingers to gently trace a few lines across his back and she notices her heartbeat steadying again. “ i'm tired, zain. these lords sure do give me such a headache sometimes. ”
she stays still, not moving just yet, enjoying the little moment before she steps back, moving her hands to hold his. “ let's go make something to eat. i want to go away from here, just with you. ” her head tilts, eyes unmoving from his as the same smile from the start begins to come back.

im so sick of her baiting the gaylors and then writing shit like this that she KNOWS swifties will use to hurt gaylors. and the worst part is she phrases it in a way where she still has plausible deniability. she constantly does things that encourage us to speculate and on her relationships and then whines about it when people do it!!! like fucking liking lesbian p*rn and all the kaylor posts on kissgate. i cant keep on accepting this and accepting that the repercussions will bring me so much hate. If she keeps on doing this i will have to unstan or at the very least delete my gaylor accounts bc if she is pretending to be a closeted queer person for her career/pr/streams it is genuinely insane and very problematic. I had so many hetlors in my fighting w me and calling me slurs during lavendergate and now i have to deal with this shit again? i already know that one line will bring me and other gaylors so much hate and hurt, it is becoming unacceptable for her to continue doing this. and on top of that it makes me feel insane and delusional for thinking ive found some queer subtext in her music. like i imagined it all. especially after saying "gay pride makes me, me". i dont know how much longer i can actually handle her saying shes an ally, and "planting the seeds of allyship", and then stabbing gaylors (a very large majority of whom are queer) in the back. if she want to hide her sexuality, there are much better ways of doing that than whatever bait and switch she keeps on doing. if she is queer, by no means am i asking her to come out but the very least she can do is stop putting us in danger.

I’m so glad someone else has the same opinions about Disventure camp rn, I want to like it and be invested SO badly bc its insanely impressive for what it is, but they just.. keep fucking up all the characters so badly. They introduce interesting ideas or dynamics that are immediately dropped, and some of the characterization makes no sense to me (that is NOT Tom and Ellie wtf !!), and ofc they have to keep ruining every single romantic relationship for some reason?? I don’t really care about any of them outside of maybe 2, but the fact that they keep doing it just pisses me off. Jaiden was a rocky road until the LAST episode of s2, Connor and Riya seems to be over for good, Huntessally and especially just Hunter and Ally was a huge mess, Tomjake is. Tomjake. Trevek has a weird love triangle plot, and they’re clearly going to ruin Gabellie next bc Ellie is almost cartoonishly evil this season. (Not counting Will and Ashley or Kai and Maggy bc they have like 1 minute of screen time)
And the other relationships aren’t safe either!! Fiore and Alec barely got focus and now she’s gone, Miriam only talked to Tom like one time and didn’t talk much with Jake either, they seemed to forget about Gabby and Tom being friends until like episode 5, Ally and Connor never interacted, etc. Tom and Aiden are rlly the only friendship that’s getting a lot of focus, and I have mixed feelings on them bc they’re fun together but I wanted to see Aiden on his own a bit after Lake and James were eliminated. Now he’s just Tom’s friend instead. Same with Tess having at least half of her screen time being about Hunter and Ally even though she’s only talked to both of them once each outside of episode 1. These characters could be so interesting if you stopped sticking them to other people!!
I know we’re only like a third ish of the way through the season so I feel a bit bad for ranting so much, but seeing how it turned out previously I have doubts that they can turn it around. Which sucks bc when it’s good it’s GOOD!! I loved episode 6!! But they keep making such annoying choices for all of the characters that it’s hard to stay interested. At this point I’m rlly only invested in seeing Gretts arc and how the villain alliance will turn out. Sorry for yapping so much I had a lot to say LMAO

For blue lock, what are your thoughts on Kaiser and Ness as characters? I'm honestly really curious about Ness and if he'll unlock his own Ego through the threat of being replaced by Isagi. Or how Kaiser and Isagi's rivalry will continue. I don't know if you've seen the spoilers for the latest chapter btw but if so, what are your thoughts on Isagi's new skill?
ahhh this took forever to get to i apologize, i am so so behind on asks rn. i talk about this in this post, but i wanna expand on it because immediately after publishing that i had More Thoughts LOL. under the cut bc they're,,,,, long. spoilers up through chp 218 below!!!
i'm ALSO really curious to see if ness will unlock his own ego....maybe it's through the threat of isagi replacing him, as you said. but i'm also kinda hopeful that it comes through the realization that, like, he can play with people other than kaiser; he can create those chemical reactions with other people and he can play just as well with other people and he's his own player who has his own important role on the pitch other than supporting kaiser specifically.
bastard münchen is really interesting because it's a team built around one player (vs the other teams we see who seem to have more specific team-based and collaborative play styes, esp ubers), and that role is shifting from kaiser to isagi. so i'm curious to see ness connecting with people other than kaiser; i think it would be reaaaaallly fun if he made something really big happen with isagi and he found some more allyship with him, yk what i mean? i think ness has SO much potential as a player and him unlocking an ego that doesn't revolve around making kaiser better would be so cool for his character. at the same time, i also am super unsure what that would look like, though.
this is kinda where i think that parallels to reonagi come in, like i talked about in the other post. they're obviously not exactly the same and there's not really a one:one match up, and there are also just a lot of plain key differences, but i think some of the core traits of their dynamic are really similar.
at the beginning of the story, nagi really relies on reo to make soccer something interesting/fun to play--he's overall arc is realizing that he can grow stronger without reo's support and that, in growing stronger, he can find the joy in playing and he can discover why it's worth it at all.
meanwhile, reo is super attached to nagi as the "treasure" he was able to befriend and help lead into the world of soccer. i don't see this necessarily as an insane possessiveness, moreso as someone who is holding on so tightly to the first genuine connection he's made by himself; his first ally in soccer, the first thing that made it possible for him to play. it's not really "he's my thing to own and i don't want to let go of the things that are mine, even if they want to leave" and more "he's the one that made it all possible; that formed who i have the potential to be; and i don't know how to let go of that."
ness specifically feels similar to reo's arc: he is deeply attached to kaiser and he bases his self-worth and understanding of himself and the game around the way kaiser views him and the game. when kaiser begins to shift interest over to isagi's play, ness doesn't know what to do with that--how do you play the game when the person who shaped the way you play suddenly stops looking in your direction?
anyways nice segue eury let's talk about kaiser.
i think kaiser's rivalry with isagi is kind of fascinating, this in particular because he's the first person (iirc) to really actually seek isagi out as the one to beat. everyone else who has viewed him as a rival has to come to view him that way; kaiser starts out viewing him that way. kaiser actively looking at isagi to see what he can do from the very start is really different from rin, who didn't at all take him seriously until the very end, and everyone on team z, who didn't listen to him until he truly proved himself on the field. bachira believes in him from the start, but it's not as a rival, it's as an ally--he passes to isagi, he doesn't tag him as the highest ranked person to beat.
i'm really interested to see, too, how ness responds to isagi and kaiser's rivalry as it rises in intensity.
this ask was sent, like, a month ago, so yes i have read that chapter lol. but looking at the development of his skill is really cool imo. also i like that niko just kinda. figured it out. he just kind learned how to do it and isagi was just 😲😲😲 about it, yk? i looooooove niko. that's what i've got on that.

Props to Battler for finally trying to understand her, but reminding the person who gave up on everything due to not seeing room for understanding that you do, in fact, not understand her is a choice Battler.
Bernkastel and Lambda are not really wrong here, per se. This game, while having Sayo with differing main motivations than other times, does in fact provide a lot of hints. But also promising to understand someone and then being like "we will give you training wheels" by a third party does seem pretty bad.
Again though, she literally does in fact do that despite the framing as if she's just saying this to mock Battler.
Yeah, this is the best way to describe it, the murderer and the rules are the same but the *motivations* behind it are a bit messed up, still I think showing you someone else's interpretation of Sayo's trauma does help in getting a full picture of her...
The contrast between episode 4 ending with Battler going about how he's gonna kill her she's evil die etc to a guilt-ridden Battler trying really hard to understand her is quite interesting.... one big push made him give up on understanding her and another big push put his mind into understanding her. To be fair, the ending of EP4 was a huge degradation of his character. He was gradually being pushed into this direction, otherwise.
I am sure one person who realized they were never in the same room with Battler before this had a heart attack during this scene.

Natsuhi is about the only person in the world who would be legitimately weeping at Kinzo dying, it's kind of insane how much of a tryhard she is at keeping her Kinzo headcannons in order to not hate him. It's kind of funny Nanjo says like 3 times Kinzo held no regrets.... seems at first he is just saying that but it is quite true.
Narsuhi's magic doesn't stop at Kinzo, either, she has a whole writing of Krauss and this strong, silently brooding man destroyed by his father's death deep down when he is in fact thinking about how tf to not lose his dad's wealth rn.

Natsuhi is a lot smarter and more competent than Krauss but Natsuhi feels emmasculated and ridiculed by this so he would rather trust a man scamming him than the woman he married. Natsuhi, despite being constantly discarded and lied to and treated as lesser writes headcanons where she is her husband's only ally and he really appreciates her help and respects her secretly even if he fucks up. He will still lie to her about the gold for a couple extra years after she saves his ass here btw.
god man this scene hits so differently now. I was Natsuhi during an abusive relationship during the time crypto and scams were becoming popular. I was the person begging someone to not use the last of their money on moon tourism and getting mistreated in result.
A very heartbreaking thing in both this scene and the one where Rosa reveals her thoughts about her husband leaving her is that Natsuhi and Rosa decide they are both fundamentally at fault for the errors of the men in their lives. They struggle with men being the ones at fault because they were always taught women were the issue.
Even after revealing to Natsuhi they might lose the literal place where she lives, he refuses to give all the information to her, fuck you Krauss.
Natsuhi is letting him off as something he couldn't have predicted but he literally could. He knew Kinzo was dying. Man is old.
Natsuhi I think it's more productive if you take these thoughts of self-blame and put them into murdering Krauss.
"Had become" as opposed to choosing to.... can't bury your true thoughts that deep I guess. Also stop demonizing yourself, does are completely fair thoughts not dark at all!

I don't remember if it was Beatrice or who that said Natsuhi had no propensity for magic but they were so very wrong. Natsuhi is the Witch of Rebirth, a witch who can change someone's soul into whatever form she desires (in her head).
Natsuhi can't admit that Kinzo and Krauss are bad husbands because that would make her a bad wife.... Kinzo can, though.
Again, Natsuhi is very attuned to magic.... I might be delusional but I think Sayo and Natsuhi could have gotten along, if things were different.
It's interesting how fantasy Kinzo has said this for both Natsuhi and Kyrie. I don't think Kyrie is as desperate to be acknowledged for her efforts as Natsuhi is, but, it does show a certain discomfort about how the men in their lives control them, I think.
I can't help at magic being used this shamelessly, lol. Genji probably went to consult with Sayo right away about this lol. Kumasawa and Nanjo probably feel conflicted enough about Kinzo to just take the money without much guilt.
This scene shows us Kanon and Shannon were told I guess, Natsuhi doesn't really like them so I guess she just felt obligated to do that, though. With them being one winged servants and all.
It is kind of sad that it sees that Kinzo's wife only really exists in Natsuhi's world.... because she can relate to her. And with all the info we have, relating to her isn't exactly a sign of happiness.
.....well. You sure did know her when Beatrice was young but not vice versa I guess.

You can tell killing Beatrice has made Battler do his homework, too. He's come a long way between episodes.
Battler is kind of smugly going "Heh, your easy mystery gave me answers" and it's like.... yes. That's what she is trying to do in fact Battler! It's really obvious in reply that it's really just Bern, not Lambda, that fucking hates Beato.
Lambda's not really wrong here, even if she's coming more from the angle that "anything fictional is a waste of time", which is wrong obviously.
....And the one pointing out this way of fighting is hurting Beato is Lambdadelta, again. It's really obvious she is partial to Beatrice, in her own way.
"Kumasawa, you really are quite an actress. All that panic in the corridor made it seem like Father really was there."
Again, this is an answer arc. Where else has Kumasawa shown weird, overreacting terror?

ok so i am home from my vacation and i have only had time to watch bdubs' SL pov and hlf of cleo's rn. regardless wanted to ramble my thoughts on this session and fair warning it isnt gonna be super positive (the short: didnt really like it) so yeah.
reminder though i absolutely Love these people. i love how they play and theyre great and im watching first and foremost bc i like seeing them have fun. my issues lie in the series' mechanics, how it plays, the technical function, management etc.
the thing about watching one pov is i feel like it can also spell out other issues but i will get to that later
obviously the big thing. the "infection" task. listen.... the concept of a boogeyman infection by itself is cool! i like that! but.... not here?????? out of all series.
there is no regen, and this fact is conflicting to me because i feel like the boogey should be struggling against those theyre trying to infect, and minecraft's regen would be that struggle, like it has been for every past boogey chasing their targets.
you have to kill everyone not red? not red???? so like 90% of the server? insane.
this was an EASY TASK........... this pisses me more on what this season's rules have been implied to be. suddenly, they arent really making sense. i will go into this deeper.
this just doesnt seem like the right place to plant this task. it is hugely impactful and feels like it is happening for no reason. if they were going on like 10+ episodes and grian was formally like "well, secret keeper wants this wrapped up so lets see what task hes gonna give all of us!" and then boom, this is it. then cool. make up a proper excuse like wrapping up the season.
it was too much of a shocker, unprepared for, and with how intense it is by needing to kill everyone left it feeling very unfair to the people i was watching. Bdubs had just died previously and now lost all his hearts in one session because of the force of another task. as did many others. if there was to even be any slight alteration to more "fairness" it could have been "the one you killed is now boogey. hand them the book and make them kill someone by themself. you are no longer infected. you cannot kill the person who killed you." or something idk. every part of the server going after one person is way too much.
regarding rules and whatnot, i was already kind of annoyed by this previous session too. there are two tasks now that have me going "how tf is this "easy"?" Bdubs' task of chicken causing damage-- an amount that had to go as high as anyone could stand it-- seems way too harsh as an easy task. there were a few tasks where health could be lost, but none of it was deliberate "lose as much as possible". losing the same amount of health as another player (like grian and joel) is not the same as telling the player they basically need to lose as much as possible compared to someone else in order to win the challenge. grian and etho's hard tasks took a lot of damage (to others mostly lol) but it was a destructive hard task. bdubs' with the dragon was as well.
but gem's task especially... i mean, holy crap. that is a red life's task, or a hard task at most! even if i liked the whole thing i think id still be on the page of saying that is not an "easy" task. a red life getting this task would have been interesting too because it would put a ton of risk on them to survive and get it done. and sure, theyd get some allies in the infected but theyd still be a target in the fights. that would have been tense for them!
cancelling out all of the others' tasks when they were infected made sense but it totally changed the direction of people's videos. it forced them to be different to everyone. suddenly the first quarter or half of the video is just void and pointless. when the tasks basically direct their entire motive and how they act towards everyone, forcing them into big choices they cannot change, i think its bad. social tasks that pass off as kind normal are funny (etho's weeping angel, get scar to talk abt star wars, compliment ppl when they take damage etc), or outward and confusing but not character controlling ones (kill the dragon, connect your base to others, etc). ones that direct a player so strongly shouldnt ruin their interactions with everyone else either (playing tag-- took up a lot of time but players were "neutral" to everyone and carried on as normal).
some people were saying this task could be to speed up the series. im not really sure abt that. regardless i am sure they thought this would just be an interesting thing to do and thats why they did it. (i have seen martyn on here sometimes talking vaguely abt tasks being random and whatnot and no offense to him but it doesnt sound like at all he does have all the information to knowing this. i mean, why would he? hes a player. the admins are doing things he has no clue about. hes not even firmly stating anything. hes just saying what he knows, which i dont think is at all everything the admins are doing in front of them).
i have seen this series play with many balance issues through its lifetime and i think this season esp shows a lot of that again. grian stated around one season how theres no play testing really. the admins might run some stuff i guess but theyre not testing much. and thats very obvious when limlife had that issue of deaths not showing in chat (and hey look, it happened again!) or boogey kills in LL and LimLife (along with normal kills in Lim) not being detected by means that were not direct (mechanically this just happens, you cant fix it. but they did not prepare to deal with this at all and it was chaotic to watch in Limlife and caused a lot of confusion on who got time).
i have repeating some of these things about SL already so i dont want to drone on again. i have been kinda neutral to SL because many eps were fine, i didnt love every task (personally didnt like etho getting so many "out of character" ones, like please give this man a break he is so socially awkward its hard to watch). but this session and last session have me not enjoying the task concept.
from the start i just wished this season was about not being able to regen hearts and thats it. i need something simple, dude. its getting convoluted. and its obvious with the amount of hall monitoring and the amount of talk the cc have in these videos telling hall monitors to stop, to explain successes or failures, etc etc. they should have to do that. limlife already had some ppl getting picky about who got time or not but this is even more subjective and confusing!! im sure theyre still having fun and i like seeing them having fun here but as a viewer im just seeing a concept that has too much going on, stuff that doesnt have a simple yes or no answer sometimes and i dont think thats good for a series like this, one that started out so incredibly simple and straight forward.

Okay Ren False Martyn. Time to pull up my False joins Dogwarts AU from June 2021. They were non-existent back then but y'know how Trafficblr makes connections from seemingly nothing? Yeah.
False is known as the Queen of Hearts. Ren is the Red King and Martyn is the Hand. Clearly there's some red theme royalty thing going on here. Also everyone's brainwaves were somehow aligned and we all thought False would ally with Ren if she was in Third Life- wow I wonder why we all thought that [False and Ren do-not-separatism]. So yay Dogwarts AU and we (Renchanting fans) got really annoying by putting trio stuff in her tag when she was otherwise canonically unrelated 😭 (probably the only time we spammed the tag). Ren and his two sword wielding sassy green blonds. They are so funny.
And then July 2021 hit and we got the three of them in a MCC team, Purple15, and the trio FINALLY existed yippee. But mere months later, MCC17 hit, which was the infamous fanon divorce arc bc that was the first time False and Ren didn't team together in MCC (when they were both in) and Ren was with Martyn so we had so many distracted boyfriend memes and I wrote an entire divorce crackfic which is my anonymous masterpiece.
Then we got Mint Maids with Joel in MCC19 (December) which was also really fun. And then fast forward to this wack ass stream which I can't even start to wrap my head around.
By the way there's also the Space Opera AU ❤️💚💙 which is about the three of them as main characters (yippeeee) and it has its own extensive lore but I don't have the energy to explain it rn. But it has shipping and the three of them go crazy and spopera False and Martyn tear each other to shreds it's brilliant.
Sorry that I'm not wording very well my brain juices have been DRAINED by the stream. yes i cried over merlin s2ep9 and i will admit it bc i need to talk abt it to express just how much it was bc im so emotionally traumatized that there are only two things that will make me cry literally only two in very extreme amount but this shit right here did it for me anyway
i saw somebody a while ago say smth abt merlin definitely actually wanting to leave a few times freya being one of them bc hes been so repressed that just being allowed to be himself without hiding anything makes him fall in love with a girl in two days so much that hes gonna abandon his destiny and his friends to go live with her and be who he is, they are the ‘holy shit for the love of jesus christ our lord and savior get me the fuck out of here’ to each others ‘literally please im so lonely im surrounded by ppl but they all would want me dead if they knew’ and that is just beautiful it is a whole new level of crazy to someones crazy it is going insane to someones going insane and that is magnificent
also the part where she recognizes him while shes a beast tormenting the town that she runs away they need to save each other so bad that it can fuck up some old roach’s curse
AND THEN thats right im not done AND FUCKING THEN at the lake when merlins holding her and shes all like “oh u save me i am loved now i die good ehe” then she dies like that its so heartbreaking bc its like yeah she got saved bc she got to die with that but what abt him she just fucking left him like that to keep livin la vida loca (bad) with all the shit he almost managed to run away from
AND THEN (last one) when merlins doing stuff for arthur and he walks in and sits next to him to see whats up (literally beautiful that a prince would sit his royal ass on that floor next to his servant to make sure hes ok) and he has no idea abt freya so he treats it like a normal ass situation so merlin kinda acts different then falls into normal rhythm
(new paragraph it woulda been too long i have so much to say abt this) i was thinking abt how merlin handles certain situations bc like how is he not literally imploded rn then i realized the way id handle that shit is sit and think abt it but he doesnt do that, hes actually rly rly smart he just goes thru too much shit to actively and consistently be smart so he does like he did in this one and falls into a routine so that he doesnt think he just goes and keeps livin la vida loca and doesnt even worry abt it cuz hes not thinking abt it bc thats how he copes is not thinking abt it cuz hes smart
so i think arthur unconsciously knows this which is why he just comes in and fucks with merlin a lil bit then lists off the things to do so merlin definitely feels better bc it helps him not think but at the end when hes like deciding a facial expression hes thinking then and hes thinking “shit man im never getting out of here i gotta fuckin live like this goddamn that sucks ass” bc he knows its gonna be years till uther dies and years after that till arthur accepts magic and all that time he has to keep hunting his own kind and being an ally in the war literally against what he is and keep being praised for it (reference to s2ep8) and doesnt have a choice bc as hes recently learned fate will not let him run away with a girl and give up his destiny so he can live a good healthy life

my Melanie Martinez phase was insane like really she only resonated to me bc of my trauma and me being in a relationship with my groomer. She is someone I absolutely can not listen to anymore, the music is too painful and cringey now and she’s just a joke of a person to me. Allie X’s early music was like me breaking away from that relationship and growing resentful and angry towards it but still staying (listen to her song bitch) but now like. As for my opinions on Thia rn, I don't like him as much as Flat & Jack. I'm sure after whatever's cooking in the background is revealed, as well as when Thia's character arc is finished, I can properly weigh my opinions on him but I know the in-narrative story of "replacing" Flat with him already makes me emo, so it REALLY gets under my skin when people treat it as a meta thing too.
It's kind of ironic because in a lot of ways Thia is very much an intense Flat fan (much like myself) so I know Thia'd probably be nodding along with me ROFL. Which that part I don't really mind.
But if there's one thing I had to sort of criticize about Thia's character it's that they don't really have a lot of loyalty towards Flat & his ideals...as in, they don't EMBRACE it. While I do think actions speak louder than words (and is something that is really core in Flat's themes), I also feel like...for a character who cares so deeply about Flat, you'd think the idea of wanting to harm his friends to forget about Flat wouldn't have...even been on the table?!?*
And I get it, characters don't need to be "good" all the time, but it's not really something that resonates with me...
(*And as a little addendum, one can make a pretty solid argument that the El Melloi School should have tried to have made allies with Flat right away. Why this has not been brought up kind of drives me insane. So like instead of Thia being like "OH SHOULD I KILL THEM TO RID MY FEELINGS OF FLAT???" could have been "These people who call him his 'friends' could have prevented him from dying, but DIDN'T"...but it's obviously something Narita doesn't want to explore. In fact, I think this is something he wants the readers to overlook).

Being Todo, he’s immediately drawn to your height and muscles, quickly asking you what your type is. For you, he could be easy to warm up to since both of you can share a braincell.
Todo is almost like a puppy when it comes to you so it’ll be hard to find yourself alone. He’ll stick by your side as often as he can and is thirsty for attention. Todo wouldn’t mind if you have trouble choosing the right words since he’s more of a ‘showing through action’ guy than a ‘showing through words’ guy. He’s very loud in his romantic gestures in which he would bring you obnoxiously hug gifts and yell at the top of his lungs how much he loves you. But, if he sees you’re feeling down, he’d use his words to see what the problem is and reassure that you are, in fact, enough and that you’re valuable.

He would be very encouraging and supportive of your life as an athlete, and he’d definitely be someone who would prepare water bottles and meals for you. He also does his research on how best to support your weightlifting career since he believes in supporting you in the right way. He really loves being with you and telling you how amazing you are, and he could relate to having high standards to reach so he makes sure to tell you that you’re perfect the way you are. He also gets flustered when you do things for him, even though a lot of people tend to help him with things.
