I don't wanna just wax poetic or whatever and I very rarely actually post about something, but there's something about FRIDA and FCG that really did relieve an itch I've had when it comes to fiction and romance that I really struggle to properly articulate.
It's like, these aoermatons weren't made to love. Protect, yes. Care, yes. They were made to serve a purpose. But love? And they were made so, so long ago. And for some reason, these two were reawoken after eons of being offline. They're independently taken in, repaired, and cared for. They both had to discover that they are still dangerous weapons who could lose control and hurt people, and they fear this. They develop their own set of emotions and their own concepts of good and bad, they outgrow their programming. But despite the friends made along the way, no one can understand the loneliness of being a machine who lived and deactivated, who is brought back after centuries only to be the seemingly last one of their kind. And to one day find each other, find another who could understand. At such a dark moment, there is light in a stranger who feels so familiar. And someone with these same complex emotions and experiences and someone who knows what it means to be a living weapon in a world long past your time. To gain sentience and sapience now that their roles as automatons is done and they can just be themselves. So it makes perfect sense that they connected immediately.
And what is this, such a new and strong emotion? Love that only two ancient beings could feel in artificial bodies, in souls not given, but evolved. The gentle awkwardness of a first love, but with the timelessness of machines. It's soft and so sincere and it is that way in faces incapable of smiling. Faces incapable of emoting. But its so gentle and full of affection. I dont know. It's just beautiful. It speaks to me in a way I can't really understand.
What does it mean to love?

Callowmoore, LoveLetters, and the Coramar-Seelie’s have all taken over any part of sane thought I have. I don’t know if they have something in common but the just itch my brain and I want all my blorbos to be happy.
I feel like a child taking their dolls and making them kiss.

So many things happened in this episode and I can't deal with Loveletters being split up aaaaaaaa... so instead here's a scene from earlier in the episode where true loves kiss prevented FCG from going murder-mode, exactly as the fanfics predicted.

FCG and FRIDA | Heart by Sleeping at Last | A LoveLetters Edit
Having Aabria and Christian as guests on Critical Role has been the thing I didnt know I needed. FCG and FRIDA were also something I didnt know I needed. I’ve loved seeing this story unfold and I can’t wait until next time.
