I just feel connected to everybody. Some connections are made with wires. And some are made with blood. And some are made with bone. And some are made with wood. But they all matter. And they, even in this dark, dark cave, they make every day a smiley day.
something about how laudna was desecrated in her first death, how her body was violated for the purposes of the briarwoods’ twisted games, and how this time she’s surrounded by love, by grief, by imogen insisting with tears in her eyes that laudna’s body be treated with dignity
FCG being confused by Ashton, Known Orphan, once having had parents has a very vague "what do you mean teachers dont live at the school" vibe. like, sure, pal, but also, no.
Alright, I did end up making another comic.
Two things that get me: Orym of the Survivor Guilt Ashari being told Laudna can’t be saved because “we chose you” and Imogen insisting that Laudna, Sun Tree hanging victim, have her body be treated with respect upon death.
“You look back to your saintly, strong mother, the fear within you growing with the tension in the air, but she touches your shoulder and kisses your head.”
Someone pointed this out on Twitter. Gentle Repose is literally just touch, salt and copper pieces on the eyes. There is no kissing. There is no need for lips.

my worries as big as the moon
having no idea who or what or where I am
something good comes with the bad
a song’s never just sad
