Something I've noticed with some dried lavender I have access to is that it only really releases a strong smell when it is crushed, otherwise, the scent is quite subdued.
So anyway I think it'd be cool if by using an alchemic glove whose palm is lined with golden sigils and runes a character could crush various ingredients together in their hand to create aerosolised potion effects.

A character discarding their armour in order to boost their speed is almost definitely a thing.
However, I think that it'd be cool to have a set of armour that is specifically designed to be able to purge its heavier metal parts, letting the person wearing it gain a quick burst of speed in the midst of battle

Hi Peter, would you be able to make me a custom armour bunny suit? I'd love one for my bunny
I'm not an armourer, so making something like a bunny brigandine or lapine lamellar is well beyond my skill set.
Others, however...
There's also this 3D print job...
Smaller creatures can be armoured too...

Made armour designs for every kingdom in luminous fragments! Aka me and my friend's fantasy oc universe
Some notes under the cut to clear some confusion you may have while reading these
-A dead crystal is a power crystal that has no energy left in them, it was already used in something else. These crystals don't glow up naturally anymore but when places near a shapeshifter (Manticores, phoenixes, minotaurs or sea serpents + Oddalia due to being a chimera experiment) they will light back up due to reacting to the energy in those creature's bodies.
-The ocean kingdom has two royal guards because one of them is set to protecting the main land (internal royal guard) while the other is set to protect the boarders of the kingdom (external royal guard).
-Sea serpents don't get armour because in their serpent form they have highly resistant scales around their whole body that serve as armour. It's not like the monarchy would bother giving them proper armor anyway.
-Shore iron is a special kind of iron that only forms in caves that are in the Shore kingdom territory. They're naturally golden in color and react the best to power crystal energy out lf any metal.
-There is no set species for guard members in the Shore, Mountain and Desert kingdoms. While the Desert and Mountain are mostly made up of certain species, nothing stops others from entering the guard, there definitely are a few unique members on them.

Chimera Armour Suit 2
Fantasy armour doesn’t have to be practical, it just has to look “awesome”. This organically inspired armour suit was an idea for Ranzen of the Chicimecs but I scrapped it because it felt too “sword and sorcery” for this more realistic tale. Nonetheless, I think they’re aesthetically pleasing as pieces of standalone art.
The Chimera armour suit is a suit of biological armour formed from the DNA of many different animals, including dinosaurs. The Chimera armour gives the wearer the powers of these creatures but drains the wearer’s health, changes their hair and eye colour, and eventually takes over their mind. It is a superpower to be used with caution!

How about you have gloves with metal rings on the back that are 'charged' in a certain way that allows objects with that same type of 'charge' to rebound towards the hand after being thrown.
See originally I was thinking about just having this be with small palm sized discs that rebound and ricochet off a bunch of objects and surfaces and people before it eventually bounces back into the throwers hand but then I thought "oh you could probably use this with other weapons too."

Would be cool to have an arm gauntlet or bracer that's able to project out an energy-barrier-shield-thing that can defend its user from physical and magical attacks.
But to counterbalance the whole not weighing as much as a full shield and also being able to deploy instantaneously in the middle of a situation, maybe it could only be projected up for a minute of time before needing 5 minutes to recharge.
