The sequel to this: ASOIAF clothing styles!

The Westerlands and The Reach def have similar styles bc they’re so close to each other and have similar climates. Like with their hair, they love showing off their wealth and opulence, so gowns are made from the finest fabrics and are heavily detailed with embroidery, puffed sleeves, and short bodices

The North is so big that what a person wears definitely influenced by location (near the wall, near the vale, or near the riverlands) but in general, there are a lot of high necked, tight fitting gowns for practicality. Made of thick, heavy fabrics but with wide sleeves and lots of embroidery to make it look pretty!

Dorne is full of colors to offset the beige of the desert. They use a lot of long, loose, airy fabrics so that they can have detailed and intricate outfits but still be covered from the sun and not be overheated. Location determines how covered up they are because of the heat. Detailing is VERY big, especially golden embroidery and lining.

I think in the Stormlands, clothing is more durable than anything else, no wispy fabrics here.They’re fairly similar to the north, with thick and sturdy fabrics, high collars, and long sleeves to keep out the constant rain. However I think they love metal accessories and jewelry on their gowns, and put it everywhere

And the Riverlands have a much more “casual” silhouette than the Reach or the Vale, with a drop waist or a loose dress than only gives you figure when you wear a belt. Low necklines and long sleeves I think, because the weather is not freezing but not Dornish either. I think a lot of soft fabrics too, for those who can afford velvet and such

Inspiration from Chinese, Korean, (slight) Indian, (heavily) Russian, and French clothing!!

The writing on the shawl is from a written language I made! It’s basically a protection citation of their religion.

From (your) right to left, the races are Amph, Reprin (Perpin), and Hididi (Nid). The models aren’t accurate to body proportion or anatomy… since the Nidden peoples are inspired by spiders and have three pairs of arms.

Something I've noticed with some dried lavender I have access to is that it only really releases a strong smell when it is crushed, otherwise, the scent is quite subdued.

So anyway I think it'd be cool if by using an alchemic glove whose palm is lined with golden sigils and runes a character could crush various ingredients together in their hand to create aerosolised potion effects.

I've been slowly designing tiny ref sheets for various kinds of clothing in Cephorim's nations, and while working on the one for Mourim I realized I needed to modify the design of Trance's first ever outfit to match what I had now. So I finally got around to that and ended up just redrawing his first finished picture that was for the app for my first ever RP group XD

Could be cool to have boots that incorporate some kind of metal or stone that sparks when experiencing abrasion so that when a character slides their shoes against the floor in a certain way they can cast a shower of sparks.

Fanned Feather Gown pt1

This ist obviously still a work in progress but I already fell in love with it. But and this Is A Big but:

I will never use pre manufactured eyelet borders again. Atleast not until I have found a sturdy brand.

After trying on the Dress 2 Times to Check it's planned day to day use, the top eyelets already came apart due to the faux leather being of absolute poor quality. Only barely able to hold onto the eyelets by itself but Putting pressure on it via lacing? Forget about It. So I probably have to Take apart the front lacing and create my own eyelet borders as I did before. (I thought I could Safe some time in the sewing process but in the end it only added more.)

Nevertheless, I really really like this Pattern and I will probably create more variations of it. But learning from my mistake and Not relying on premade lacing, and resorting to make my own. Or I just go for Buttons/zippers/hooks etc. I will make plenty of versions to test Out what works best for me.

okay there is a bit of a story behind this one:

i'm very very interested in alien cultures, and i really wished they'd written more about traditional altean culture. I wanted to design some kind of dress for Allura but came up with nothing, so i took a bunch of aspects (example being the sleeve type, or neckline, etc.) and put them in a wheel spinner. what allura is wearing here is what the results were. I tried making it look formal, but it just ended up looking kinda childish lol which i love the idea of young allura, but that's not really what i was going for?? idk lmk your thoughts

i was looking on pinterest after that for a dress that i could draw her in instead, but i found this beautiful like. idk what i could even call it, but it instantly gave the perfect allura vibes. there was a lot of useless detail put into that drawing (there is the leo and aquarius constellations (leo for coran bc i feel like he would be and aquarius bc i saw someone say allura would be born on valentines day and i just fell in love with that idea sfygdugh)

and lastly for coran, i wasn't planning to draw him but apparently nothing went to plan with this drawing. so. anyway, i found this really cool looking cloak thing that reminds me of those old mailmen cloaks (i think??) and i thought "what if i made coran wear this" and so i did.

there is also detail there with the circular pin on his cloak, it means A in altean and i'm pretty sure its similar symbol to the galran/altean alliance which is pretty cool if i remembered it right lol and underneath that the very *very* small writing literally just is coran's name. i dont know.

and lastly for anyone wondering, that altean down the bottom is literally just 'altean sketches' lmfao

(shh im allowed to be nerdy for a minute okay)
