Have you witnessed discoursing about Orym in the past several months? Would you like to be more well-informed about the subject matter? Well, then, do I have a post for you! As a reference for myself and potentially for others:
A Comprehensive Write-Up Of Relevant Times And Contexts Where Orym Has Brought Up His Dead Family While The Group Discusses The Vanguard/Predathos--With Receipts
Disclaimer: these are all of the instances in which I was able to find independently through the Critical Role transcript search, not from rewatching everything. It is therefore possible there are some instances unaccounted for.
Episode 34. Post-resurrection after being killed by Otohan Thull, he brings up the fact that Otohan had a hand in killing his family to emphasize to Imogen how dangerous Otohan is and that she may potentially continue to be an issue for her specifically due to her apparent interest in Imogen (exalting her during the battle in the previous episode)
2. Episode 46. An early God Talk™️, prompted by Ludinus using (presumably) Feeblemind on Professor Kadija Sumal. He holds his opinion until the very end of the conversation, after entertaining Imogen's idea that "they make some good points" and listening to the group discuss if the gods are good or bad for several minutes.
"I don't need to debate it. I lost my husband and father to these people, I'm not on board. Some of the gods are terrifying, and some of them have put their thumbs on the scales for people for centuries, even in the last few decades. Who are they, who are we to decide who lives or dies, god or mortal or otherwise? I don't think they have any good points."
3. Episode 49. He brings them up combatively ("Well, Imogen, I wish. my family didn't have to die for their brighter tomorrow"), against Imogen's statement of, "What if it's not that bad? [...] What if what we're doing is just fighting change?" after she solely received a vision of a Utopia-like future from her mother. Imogen backs down quickly after his reproach and acknowledges that the vision was likely a part of cult brainwashing.
4. Episode 61. Orym pulls Prism aside, after she asks the party and Elder Abbadina if Predathos would cause a world-ending event, or if it would only be bad for some (the Elder did not know anything about Predathos at all), to say, "I don't think we know anything [...] The only thing I have to go on is the track record of the guys trying to bring Predathos out. And that track record is not very good." At further prompting from Prism about if he ever thought the Vanguard's ideas were right, he says, "Prism, I don't understand the gods. I don't know anything about the titans. I don't know an eidolon from eyeliner. [...] But I'm a widower, because of the people who want to bring this about. So it's hard for me to wrangle with the other side."
5. Episode 61, pt. 2. Orym listens to the party converse with Elder Abbadina for a little while longer before silently sneaking out "to go think about his dead father and his dead husband."
6. Episode 77. Another God Talk™️ with the whole party, prompted by FCG asking what everyone's motive was in going to the moon. For his reasoning, he says, "We don't know what's going to happen to any inch of this world if Predathos is unleashed. Yeah, this started with my husband and my father. It's so much bigger than that. If my life can secure the lives of everyone who comes after us, well spent."
7. Episode 92. After the death of another loved one to Otohan Thull, in response to Liliana's statement that temples might hunt down Ruidusborn in the theoretical event that Ludinus' plot is foiled, "Cold comfort for my family in the ground."
8. Episode 92, pt. 2. In response to a throwaway, thoughtless comment Ashton made that, "I hope [Liliana] is right. I really do. I hope her ends are fucking great because these means are just not forgivable." Orym has Chetney bring out Otohan's sword, jams one into the sand and declares, "This is the sword that killed my father and my husband. She is not right."

So, with all of the information in front of us, what conclusions can we draw from them? When asked by others to assess if the Vanguard has valid points, Orym repeatedly abstains from having an opinion. Whether or not the Vanguard has a reason to be upset is irrelevant to him--what is relevant is the loss of life they have incurred along the way. Orym takes no stance on the gods, he repeatedly states he doesn't understand them or know anything about them or harbor much of a connection to them. As far as he is concerned, his role in this is to oppose the violence being done to the people of Exandria. Why waste your time debating the merits of a cult's ideology when you know, in the end, you will have to fight against them to end the slaughter? To protect people?
And for what it's worth, in almost every instance, Ashton has effectively taken the same side as Orym. I have not included all of these moments, but they are easily located if you wanted to search up these moments on your own. The continual focus on de-legitimizing Orym's opinion seems strongly tied to the fact that he has a personal reason to hate the Vanguard. But facts being facts, Ashton hates them just the same--and he has no love of the gods, either. He hates the Vanguard based on their actions, same as Orym. In fact, Ashton and Laudna have both expressed outright dislike for the gods, and all other Bells Hells except for FCG expressed ambivalence. This is not about the gods. Not for Orym, not for the others who remain. This is about no more bodies on the pyre of Ludinus' machinations.

Human Buddy going through a break up with the Scavengers
SFW, Platonic, Slight Angst, Comfort from everyone, Human reader
Buddy had been in a relationship before they had left Earth and kept in contact through the internet when they met the Scavengers. The group had heard plenty of stories about this mysterious partner of Buddy’s.
It was almost adorable to hear them rave about their partner.
As a gift for Buddy’s birthday, the Scavengers decided to travel to Earth. Spend a couple days on the planet, let Buddy have a couple dates with their significant other, sight see, the whole works. Everything was going well on their way until Buddy received a text from their significant other.
A text saying they wanted to break things off and promptly blocked Buddy from any form of communication.
Buddy is devastated and now the Scavengers have heard the story too.
Krok
Krok is hugging Buddy as they are sobbing into his armor.
He doesn’t say much at first, he knows he needs Buddy to calm down before anything else can be done.
When he thinks that enough time has passed, he is ready to get Buddy better.
All Scavengers are on deck.
He tries to get Buddy distracted in some of their old hobbies.
When they are playing Shoot-Shoot-Bang-Bang, Krok lets Buddy take a free shot at him. He is worried about Buddy getting better and he is doing the best he can to help them through this hard time.

A bit awkward with the affection, but he is trying.
After a few days of Buddy being sad he’ll go on the internet to see what he can do about Buddy’s heartbreak.
A minor spark attack when he reads that humans can die of heart break.
His fleshy isn’t going to die on his watch.
Has Buddy in constant view and encourages them to seek out the team more.
While playing ‘Shoot-Shoot-Bang-Bang’ nothing changes much in their dynamic… except the few times he will let them have a chance to shoot him
Or maybe throw them at the opponent.
That one nearly gives Krok a spark attack.
Buddy was sitting on the table reading a data pad.
Spinister and Krok were drinking some enegex and talking about the latest hole Grimlock made.
Buddy twitches a bit before sneezing.
Spinister turns his neck so fast Krok is sure that he snapped it.
He jumps over the couch, snatches Buddy up, grabs a blanket and starts wrapping them up into a burrito.
“Spin—”--Buddy
“Shh! No talking.”—Spinister
Spinister starts walking to the med bay.
“Why are we heading to the med bay?”--Buddy
“Check if your organic spark is still online.”--Spinister
“Excuse me, but my what?!”—Buddy

Fulcrum
As much as Fulcrum hates organics, Buddy has grown on him quite a bit.
That being said, he still isn’t completely comfortable with touching.

He does have sympathy for Buddy and their heart break.
Probably tells Buddy minor insensitive things about their ex later.
While playing ‘Shoot-Shoot-Bang-Bang’ he’ll offer himself as a shield three times and three times only.

Misfire throws Buddy at Fulcrum.
Fulcrum screams and ducks, Krok swan dives and catches Buddy.

Krok looks at the suction cup stick on his forehelm.
Misfire walks over and grabs Buddy.
“HA! Eat it Krok!”--Misfire
Grimlock
While he can’t communicate too much, Grimlock does keep Buddy close while they are down.
Wants to squish whatever made Buddy this depressed.
He doesn’t want Buddy to feel sad.
He lets Buddy hide with him when things are a bit much.
While playing ‘Shoot-Shoot-Bang-Bang’ Grimlock offers himself as a shield, will growl at anyone who tries to get close to Buddy.
Misfire enters the room.
“Hey Grimmy! Have you seen Buddy around?”--Misfire
Grimlock looks at him before slowly moving his tail.
Buddy fast asleep at his side, snoring and twitching.
“Oh, I’ll come back in a bit. Sweet dreams you two.”--Misfire
Misfire closes the door.
Grimlock wraps his tail around them and continues to sleep to the sound of Buddy snoring.

Obikin au inspired by stardew valley where Anakin has inherited a farm and decided to take care of it and Obi-Wan is the town’s doctor.
This is: Farmer Anakin gets his health check-up.
Anakin tries to ignore it. He smiles, politely and then powerwalks away from the clinic. He tends to walk in front of it on his way to the shop where he buys his seeds or arranges to sell his product. Always parking his truck where the clinic is in his path. Always hoping to catch a glimpse of the hot doctor that lives and works in the house.
He had not expected Obi-Wan to acknowledge him with more than a polite smile, and that is he even saw him because even if the town is small, Obi-Wan does have people to attend, so Anakin can only see him when there are no patients and the weather is warm, sitting at his porch with a book, a newspaper or learning the newest medicine breakthroughs. Sometimes so focused on his readings that he doesn’t even notice Anakin walking past him – and those days are the best, because Anakin can gawk at him as much as he wants, slowing down his pace so he has a few more seconds of looking at the most handsome man Anakin has seen in his life.
On a normal day, even if Obi-Wan sees him, they don’t exchange more than a polite smile and greeting but today, today, Obi-Wan had said his name just as he was approaching the clinic, and Anakin is sure he blushed, so he is trying to hide it by walking away as fast as he can.
“Anakin!” Obi-Wan’s voice says again, and he sounds close, and he shouldn’t sound close, not when Anakin is walking away at the speed he is, unless Obi-Wan has gotten up from his place and-
A hand on Anakin’s arm stops him from going further, and when he turns around there Obi-Wan is, a bit out of breath, a quick smile on his lips as he says his name again - and Anakin thinks that he could fall in love from that alone – before he squeezes Anakin’s arm and lets it go.
“I’m sorry for stopping you like this when you obviously have things to do.” Obi-Wan says, as if Anakin had anything better to do than talk with him, as if the only reason Anakin didn’t stop, didn’t spend all his time trying to speak with the doctor, was because he is embarrassed about his crush and about acting like a fool in front of him (or at least that’s the reason since Obi-Wan had to drive him home after he had found him almost passed out in a field because he didn’t take enough water with him). “But I was thinking that you’ve been here for five months already,” of course Obi-Wan remembers exactly when Anakin arrived, as if he needed more reasons to fall for him, “and you have not really come to see me at the clinic, and because of what happened-“ Anakin tries not to die of mortification at the mention of the incident, “I think it would be good if you came for a check-up. When is the last time you went for one?”
“Uhhh…” Anakin says, eloquently, because he doesn’t know how to tell the concerned and perfect doctor that the last time he had talked to a doctor for something health related since he had his last paediatrician check-up was when Obi-Wan himself had lectured him about keeping hydrated and away from the sun in summer.
“Right” Obi-Wan says, because he must understand Anakin’s lack of an answer. “I regularly do check-ups for everyone in town, so whenever you feel ready for one, just come over and I will see you. We could even do it now if you are not in much of a rush?”
And then Obi-Wan smiles, and there’s a hopeful look in his eyes, and what is Anakin supposed to do? Say no?
“Sure”
“Are you up to date with your vaccines?” Obi-Wan asks, sitting at his desk, Anakin on sitting on the other side, answering all of Obi-Wan’s questions so the doctor can have a record of his medical history.
“As far as I know, yes.”
“Farms are dangerous places, you can get all kinds of infections. Your animals are also vaccinated?”
“Of course, they see the doctor more than I do.” Anakin tries to joke, but Obi-Wan purses his lips before a small smile appears on his face, “we are trying to fix that now, aren’t we?” Obi-Wan looks down over to the questionnaire on his hands, ticks something with his pen before he points to the next question. He looks up to Anakin before asking, “sexual partners in the last year?”
Anakin tries not to choke on his own breath, his heart accelerating on his chest. “No” he answers, and Obi-Wan looks mildly surprised, and oh coming out of his lips. And Anakin realises he had expected a number.
“Okay, I think that is everything for now.” The doctor mercily says, and Anakin lets out a sigh of relief. “You can sit on the stretcher now, I will check your vitals.”
Anakin obeys, and Obi-Wan puts a cuff around his arm and the metal part of his stethoscope under it. It goes too fast, Anakin focused on the way Obi-Wan’s arm flexes when he inflates the thing on his arm with the small ball, on the attentive look on his face as he listens to his pulse while looking at the numbers, on how close he is.
“Alright” Obi-Wan says all too soon. He takes everything off of Anakin and notes the numbers down on his clipboard. “I’d like to listen to your heart now.” He says, and stays seated in front of Anakin. None of them move for a few seconds, until Obi-Wan adds “I’d be easier if you took your shirt off.”
“Right”

“No, no, it’s alright.” Anakin rushes to take his shirt off, because Obi-Wan is being so nice to him, and he doesn’t want to make his job harder. He just had imagined that if he ever got the chance to be shirtless in front of Obi-Wan it would be in a very different context.
Anakin takes a sharp breath when the cold metal circle touches his skin, and Obi-Wan takes it away immediately.
“Sorry, it’s very cold.” He brings it up to his face and exhales on it before he puts it against his own arm while Anakin watches him mesmerized. “I should have warned you, I think it will be a bit better now.”
He puts it back against Anakin’s chest and it’s better now, and Anakin feels a bit out of his body because Obi-Wan is standing right next to him and he puts his other hand on Anakin’s naked back. The skin to skin contact makes Anakin straighten his back against the hand, and there is just no way Obi-Wan didn’t hear his heart jump.
“Your heart rate is a bit too fast.” Obi-Wan says, and Anakin is sure he will not set foot on the town, much less near the clinic, in the next few months. “Do hospitals make you nervous? It’s alright, we will be done before you know it.”
Anakin doesn’t deny it, because the other option is confessing that he doesn’t get nervous in hospitals, only around hot doctors that treat him with care and have the most beautiful blue eyes he has ever seen. Obi-Wan moves the metal thing around, and then puts it on his back and tells Anakin to take deep breaths. When he leans around to Anakin’s back, Obi-Wan’s chest touches Anakin’s shoulder and arm. It’s an innocent touch, it shouldn’t mean anything, but Anakin’s breath catches. He had never been so close to Obi-Wan – except the time he almost passed out, but Anakin doesn’t remember that very clearly – and it’s doing something to him. He can feel his body heat, he can smell him. All too soon, as Obi-Wan had promised, he is done and pulling away. Putting the stethoscope around his neck and telling Anakin he can put his shirt back on.
“You seem very healthy.” Obi-Wan says, and Anakin knew that but he will admit he liked the check-up, even if only to get Obi-Wan so close to him that he could smell his soap. “but please, come visit me if anything happens, doesn’t matter how silly you think it may be.”
“I will” Anakin promises.
“And I’d like it if you brought your vaccine record, I’d like to check for myself that everything is in order.”
“I will ask my mother to send it to me and I’ll bring it.” And then he will have an excuse to talk to the doctor again. Maybe worrying about his health is not that bad.
“That will be fantastic. Now I’m sure you had a lot of things to do that I kept you from.” Obi-Wan says while walking him to the door. That means Anakin has to go, and he is not very happy to, he finds.
“Thank you” he remembers to say before he leaves.
“There’s no problem, please, come visit me whenever you like.” Obi-Wan says with a smile before he closes the door.
Anakin stays there, staring at the door, before he turns to continue his way to the store. He puts his hands on his face and groans because he is a fool. A fool in love.

Sorry for taking a while to elaborate. I was gonna just explain in a reply but realized the way I explain things is always longer than it needs to be so I figured I respond in its own post. So anyways…

I: Nighteye’s unwillingness to admit when he’s wrong
So if you’ve followed me for a while, you already know I don’t like Nighteye that much. However, I’ll admit that overtime I realized that I really wasn’t supposed to like him.
He’s overly cynical and critical of Deku despite the fact that he’s just a teenager. A major part of his character is that once he had something in mind, he’d run with it. His word is law to him and it annoyed the shit out of me. But you can’t really blame him because that’s the nature of his quirk. As All Might said, his foresight has never been wrong.
Once he had set in his mind that All Might was going to die, and needed a successor to pass OFA to (despite it not being his decision) he found Mirio and just clung to him. He even admits to himself on his death bed that he only initially took in Mirio for the sake of convincing All Might to make him his successor.
Because of that, he refused to have faith in Deku as All Mights successor and it took him all the up to the day he died to see what All Mights saw in Deku. It was the first time someone had ever proven him wrong.
II: Deku’s unwillingness to just accept fate
Since chapter one, Deku has proved time and time again that he refuses to accept circumstances that he deems unfair no matter how unrealistic his success would be. For example:
-Saving Katsuki from the sludge villain. He had no way of defending himself yet he still ran to save him when no one else would, influencing All Mights actions. If Izuku hadn’t done anything, everyone probably just would’ve stood by idly while watching a middle schooler die.
-Saving Uraraka from the one pointers at the entrance exam. While Uraraka most likely wouldn’t have died cuz she had the means to save herself, Deku still forced himself to do something about it, regardless of being too scared to move just a moment before.
-Convincing Todoroki to take control of his own fate at the sports festival by using both his left and right side.
-Hunting down Iida before he could kill Stain and somehow beating him despite most pros failing to do so.
Saving Kota from Muscular, Katsuki from AFO, Eri from Chisaki, the list goes on. But all of that to say that despite odds being against him in all of these circumstances, he persevered out of pure stubbornness and his unwavering conviction to save as many people as he can.
So, when All Might explained to Deku that he was destined to die, the first thing Deku did was try to figure out how he can change that. Initially it sounds like grief ridden denial but it later takes on a new meaning.
(I find this entire conversation almost ironic. All Might accepts that his fate has already been decided and Deku rebuttals by saying that he’ll be by his side to change said fate. But, throughout the entire final arc, Deku hasn’t even spoken to All Might. He was by someone else’s side (figuratively) changing All Mights fate.)
III: The power of willpower and conviction
So, in the Hassaikai raid:
This is when we start to realize the true meaning of Nighteyes character. The entire point of his character is to be proven wrong (in my opinion).
He represents the expectation of typical shonen tropes and he actively tries to enforce those stereotypes ever since he’s introduced in the story with beliefs similar to “the strongest heroes successor should already slightly stronger than the average person with light hair and light eyes,” hence why he clung to Mirio so much. Mirio fits the “my power is a curse but I’m admirable because I worked really hard to control it” trope and while one can argue that Deku fits this trope too, I don’t think he does. Deku has never viewed OFA as cursed. He’s always considered it a blessing. Controlling OFA took less than a hundred chapters and he was never looked down upon for it.
Oh and don’t forget “the mentors untimely death to further character development for the mc.” If anything, Katsuki took over that one. (Can katsuki be considered a mentor, technically? Since Deku always looked up to him so much and learned from him more than he learned from anyone else? This is a genuine question, pls help)
Those are major ingredients for the shonen formula and, according to Nighteye, that’s fate. Things that are destined to happen in a shonen manga because that’s what always happens in a shonen manga.
By his and most shonen readers standards, Mirio, Katsuki, or Todoroki should’ve been the mc to declare your run of the mill shonen comic book. But they’re not. Fate was changed and stereotypes were pushed already by Deku’s mere existence. He’s fought his whole life against people who didn’t believe in him and Nighteye was no different.
He had to continue proving his haters wrong and being told that he can’t do something furthers his willpower to help people no matter the cost (not that that’s entirely healthy but, you know.)
People that know Deku have seen time and time again that he reaches his goals no matter how steep the hill might be. He never ceases to surprise people (I think Uraraka said something similar at some point but I can’t remember when) so the people around him that know him on the surface, have faith in him.
And according to Nighteye, that’s all they needed.
IV: Changing Fate
Nighteyes foresight changed because Deku and co. refused to lay down and accept fate so, they fought it instead. And won. Deku proved to Nighteye that All Mights fate could be changed.
Skipping ahead to the final war arc, All Might is fighting that villain that was destined to follow through on All Mights unspeakably gruesome death. He starts looking back on his life as he waits for it to happen. People watching the broadcast just accepted that he was about to die.
However…
Remember what was said about faith? Yeah Izuku holds a lot of that in Katsuki. As for a character, other than Izuku (and Dabi but this ain’t about him), with enough will and conviction to change his own fate in order to change his mentors? I can’t think of anyone else but Katsuki.
(The panel of Eraserhead at the press conference after Katsuki was kidnapped was supposed to go here but I ran out of space so I’ll just give the quote: “Any lapse in his behavior is my failing. Still… he behaved that way at the sports festival because he has such strong convictions and ideals… more than anyone, he pursues the title of top hero with everything he’s got. If the villains have mistaken that for a weakness… then their thought process is indeed superficial.”)
Thus, Nighteye’s foresight was changed.
Izuku proved that All Mights fate could be changed, and Katsuki was the one who changed it.
V: Conclusion
This post probably could’ve been a lot shorter and summed up in only a few paragraphs but, where’s the fun in that? I honestly really wanted to talk about it in depth because I find this part of the narrative so poetic and beautiful.
In the Hassaikai arc, everyone had to believe in Deku. In this arc, all Katsuki needed was for Deku to believe in him. Making Deku’s faith in Katsuki just as strong as everyone’s faith in him.
It just kinda reminds me how bnha is really just a parody of shonen manga, calling out really dumb tropes time and time again by referencing western superhero media that’s been pushing away these same tropes for decades now.
Anyways, I hope this is a good enough elaboration lmao. If I keep typing, this post will end up being too long.

🪨Venture (OW II) x (gn) reader headcanons⛏️
(Start of Romantic Relationship Pt. III Edition!)

(Finally on Pt. 3!!! It’s only been a couple of days since I first started this but I digress— Anyways a friend of mine, @goohts helped me figure out some ideas for this one, and I’m extremely thankful to her for it!)

(Pt. I) (Pt. II)
- To start things off, baking, everyone likes to bake right? Well uh, if you decide to bake with Sloane, you obviously have to handle the oven part… And the ingredient part.
- If you don’t, things may get… Messy, you see they don’t really know a whole lot about baking at first, so they’ll try to wing it and assume crap. Bites y’all in the ass if you don’t thwart it in time.
- Imagine having to stop them from dumping a whole cup (not even a measuring cup, a drinking cup) of baking soda into the mixture, trying to protest against this, claiming that, “It’s called baking soda— so, there should be a lot of it right?” No.
- Besides that, they’re a great helper nonetheless, quickly learning from their mistakes and even getting pretty good at it the more you guys do it.
- I can imagine them making a cake like the mud cake Max, from Max & Ruby, makes but with crushed up Oreos, gummy worms, rock candy, etc.
- Looks a little frumpy cause they’re just too excited to take the time to decorate it, tastes great nonetheless.
- Also, a serial batter licker, you have to stop them from doing it almost every single time you have to give them a spoon or a whisk.
- Don’t want them getting salmonella after all, though they probably think it’d be a thing they’d die honorably for, that or between your thighs but like—
- I think they’d consider baking as a personal bonding activity between the two of you, and even if you don’t know how to— That’s cool! They don’t know either! You can learn together!!
- They definitely devour everything you make for them, if you char it— They’re used to eating rough stuff anyways, and leave NOTHING on that plate, that goes for more than just baking.
- Prefers sugary things, if that wasn’t obvious already. Brings a little baggy of candy with them wherever they go, preferring gummies.
- If you ever made them gummies yourself? They're already planning where to propose to you in their the second you give them the bag and tell them they’re homemade.
- Anyways, outdoor dates again with this one, cave exploring. Oh they’d just love to do that with you, probably suggests such a date like that when you both are celebrating your 6th month anniversary together.
- To say they’re excited is an understatement, traversing underground, being in the presence of rock various and unique rock formations that took years upon years to be where they are today and see it with you?? Oh yeah they’re living the dream.
- They’re constantly fighting the urge to break away from the group and run around, see everything the cave has to offer. It’s like seeing a kid in a candy shop and be given unlimited access to it I swear.
- Excitement aside, they make a point to make sure you’re ok all through out the trip, giving you whatever you request. Just making sure you’re well hydrated or comforting you if you start feelings a bit cramped in there.
- Always makes sure you’re up for it beforehand, wanting you to have as much fun as they are.
- They take so many pictures in sections where it’s permitted, and a lot of them have you as the main focus or in the sidelines, naturally.
- That scrapbook I mentioned earlier is jammed full of so many photos, you have to get another one or two in like a year after getting the first one, can’t properly close by the time they’re finished with it.
- Again, they genuinely want your relationship to work, and they just want you to reciprocate. I mean, what is a serious relationship without that after all?

Okay so like,,,,I usually never make requests (I’m a lurker fr fr) but your writing Is god tier, so I gotta ask:
Could you do a fic for Hank/Beast? He’s my personal fave but I never see any content for him ever, like the fic scene for this man is a ghost town. he’s underrated as hell. My man is ripped, highly intelligent and respectful of the arts! Yet he doesn’t get any attention.

To be honest, I actually wasn't really sure about writing for Hank at first because I've never really had a connection to the character, but he grew on me!! Plus, I'm here to serve lolol we've been starved of fics as a Fandom for basically forever and it would be a disservice not to fill the Hank void out there! Hope it's okay that I only wrote Sfw headcannons, I have a separate req for NSFW for him so I decided to split it into two to save my sanity lol. Finals are gonna be hell for me.

Hank, despite what some would think, was most definitely a heartthrob, particularly in his college days!! I mean, a man who's confident, smart, respectful, and also an athlete? Who wouldn't swoon? He was 110% the guy that everyone wanted to take home to their parents.
And He's such a sweet, attentive lover too!! Acts of service almost definitely is a love language for him. He cooks for you, fixes the broken things that you didn't even realize were broken, even organizes your notes before a difficult exam.
He loves to surprise you with flowers, even if it isn't any special occasion, and if you ask, he'll help you preserve them as well!
He loves to kiss your forehead, temples, and hands. On top of that, he's very touchy. The two of you were most definitely seen as the parents of any friend group.
Things changed a little after he took the serum that mutated him further. His confidence had taken a blow, and he just didn't quite know how to approach you anymore.
It took a hot minute to reassure him that you didn't really care if he was blue, or furry, or beastly, he was still Hank Mccoy, wasn't he? He was the man you were in love with, and you certainly weren't going to stop now. Besides, you still thought he was handsome. With the kinds of books he's seen you read, you're a bit surprised that he didn't think you would find him attractive.
Things gradually got back to normal, but for a while, he didn't kiss you as often as he used to. Well, he didn't kiss you period. Even though he knew the incredible extent to which you loved him, the shape of his mouth had changed. Hell, he had fangs that he would rather die than mark you with.
You practically had to tie him down into a contract to get him to kiss you again. He was always one to experiment, why not treat this the same? If you kiss, and it goes well, you do it again. If it goes well a second time and a third, you have a pretty reliable test. Validity shouldn't matter when he knew that you loved him to bits already.
He felt like he was falling in love with you all over again, and yet he still hesitated. It wasn't until you had grabbed him by the collar to drag him into a kiss that he actually relaxed, and what do you know, it was a pretty reliable test after all. A predictive one too, with how often you continued to kiss him afterwards.
Domestic was the best way to describe your relationship with Hank.
You yawned as you made your way down to the lab, still in your pajamas and slippers. Just a few hours previously, after a shower and self-care routine, you had settled into bed with an eyebrow-raising book as you waited for your husband to come to bed. This was a normal routine for the two of you, you immersing yourself into a book to stay awake until Hank entered, kissed your temple sweetly, and began his own nightly routine. It was a set of events you were used to.
Today, however, you felt like you had done a lot more reading than usual. When you finally pulled yourself out of your book and checked the time, the clock by your bed read 11 pm. A rather late time for Hank to be out, but you already knew where he would be. The lower levels of the mansion were extra cold at night, and you find yourself rubbing some warmth into your arms as you approach the lab.
The doors open with a swish, the light of the lab having all been darkened exempt for the lamp on Hank’s desk. He’s so immersed in what he’s doing that he doesn’t even realize when you come in. You walk up behind his chair, running your hands through his hair softly when you reach him.
Hank isn’t surprised, sighing at the pleasant sensation as he tips his head back to encourage you. You giggle a little, leaning down to press a kiss to his head as you begin to massage his scalp.
“It’s late.” You say gently. Hank hums in response, eyes closed as he appreciates your touch.
“I’m sorry, my love. Seems I was a little entranced.” He says. You huff at him playfully.
“You say entranced, I say you’re overworking yourself. You’ve been working on this project all week. Don’t let it cut into your rest time.” Your scolding always sounded too nice, but he knows you mean it. Hank sighs again, this time sounding a little more tired, but he doesn't argue. He rolls around to face you, pulling you into a tired hug from his chair.
“Perhaps it is time I go to bed. What time is it, my dear?”
“Eleven.” Hank lets out a quiet chuckle at your quick reply, finally standing up. He doesn’t let go of you however, choosing to rest his head on your shoulder as he sways the two of you back and forth.
“You’re most certainly right, it is late. Much too late for a man to leave his lovely spouse waiting. Oh, whatever shall I do to make it up to you?.” His words come out as a purr, and you let out a curt laugh at him. You pull away a little, taking his large hands in your own as you lead him to the door. He smiles widely when you stop for a moment, remembering his glasses and placing them on his face before starting to drag him to bed.
“I’ll let you decide that, Love. As long as you make it to bed, that’s apology enough for me.”

In every fandom, there will always be those that are quick to use the word "misogyny", in this case, some fans calling Toranaga misogynic. Either they have not been really paying attention or do not understand what the word really mean. So allow me to explain.
"Toranaga killed Mariko".
Mariko had always wanted to die since her family was persecuted. Possibly wanting to reunite with her family. And she sure as heck is not going to die for Buntaro or even with him. So Toranaga offered a death that satisfy her, a death for the greater cause which will save thousands, while getting her revenge against Ishido, a trusted vassal of the late Taiko that wiped out her entire family.
She was given a choice which she could refused, but she accepted it. Because she's a Samurai. She accepted her fate and responsibility to save others instead of running away to save herself. (Buntaro look down on Ishido for running away to save himself in Korea). Toranaga never intended to sacrifice her but had to as a last resort when he failed to get the loyalty of the Christian lords.
Crimson Sky cannot take place as he cannot siege Osaka with the enemy behind him (Christian lords from Nagasaki) or he'll be sandwiched between them and Ishido. That's when he resorted to an attack from within, with the help of Mariko. She expose Ishido's true intentions and make a fool out of him by showing everyone that he is no man to hold the women hostage and to even kill a woman.
"Toranaga killed Fuji's family."
Fuji's husband is a Samurai and knows his place, so when spoke out of turn when he shouldn't, the mistake was his. He not only show Ishido that Toranaga could not control his own men but he also show contempt to Ishido who would use it as a pretext to wage war on Toranaga and his supporters, as he's been waiting for an excuse to wipe them all out in a war that will kill thousands.
And to ensure that the child will not grow up to avenge the father's punishment, causing another civil war, the child was ordered to be killed, along with the father. Two lives sacrificed to save thousands, something a Daimyo (Lord) was to supposed to do, protect his people from war, if it can be avoided, which is what Toranaga have been striving for, to end conflicts without a war.
But who is to say, Fuji would not want to avenge the death of her family too? So instead of having her killed, he gave another form of punishment, to be a consort for the barbarian, Anjin-san, for a period of time, after which she is allowed to live but as a nun. Historically, many Samurai were pardoned provided they became a monk, as temples have no political affiliation that would pose a threat.
So it is not something that is exclusive to women, but to men too, which is common in the feudal era, not just Japan, but all over the world. That's why the medieval period is called the "Dark Ages" because things were messed up, that's how feudal system works. The right thing to do may not be the moral thing to do.
"Toranaga is hungry for power."
Well, yes. I mean how else can you end the senseless civil wars that have been going on for years without taking control of the country to unify it? If you do not become Shogun, someone else will. Someone else worse than you. Yes, they're all evil but Toranaga is the lesser of all evil. He does what he can to avoid a war while others like Ishido is constantly looking for excuses to start a war.
The Dictator killed monks, nuns and children. The Taiko invaded Korea, killing many and lost. Toranaga went to war once and he won. That's when he realized the horrors of war and is determined to avoid it. What if it means sacrificing your vassal and his family to save the rest of your followers and the people you're supposed to protect? The Dictator and Taiko took control because of greed.
Toranaga takes control because he wants peace.
The Dictator takes power because of greed, that he sees everyone as a threat that he starts killing innocents and even disrespects his own vassal, Akechi, Mariko's father which cause him to betray the Dictator to stop his madness. The Taiko takes power because of glory, he wants to show others that a peasant like him can achieve greatness to invade Korea and China.
There is a difference between taking power for thrill and glory, and taking power to protect your people from more wars.

One last time
The bad batch s3 ep 15 spoilers
I am not okay.
Kids survived, some clones survived, tha batch survived What more could we ask for? Well i know Tech. I wanted Tech to return why couldn't he return. Why give us hope why? They convinced us cx2 is someone important and i believed he was tech. But no they just gave hope for nothing.
Ending caught me off guard. I thought someone was going to die i think everyone thought someone would ünd maybe even everyone dies. They survived all them i am glad by this its great.
I cried a lot. When they mentioned Tech i couldn't keep it together.
I am still sad. Ending was great we have everything we ever wanted except Tech.
Hemlock died, rampart died. Nala Se was good. Emerie helped the batch and now she and echo going to help clone underground(hopefully we will get a clone underground show with this artstyle). Everyone and everything is good again except tech i can't stop thinking the fact that they didn't bring hil back why???
If he doesn't have a hand to tremble, there is no trembling problem. They actually did that.
Echo is proud of Omega, hunter wrecker and crosshair knew right away zillo was omega's work.
I thought wrecker was going to die when he echo asked where Hunter and Crosshair are.
The hug omega gave Hunter and Crosshair, the scene where all the batch (except echo and tech of course) sitting in peace so beautiful.
Clone x troopers there are 4 of them. When i was watching i thought they might have been developed with special mutations like bad batch's. But this is not true probably one of those clone looked like a reg. They are all probably reg but how can they fight so good?
Btw I didn't think for even 1 second that the clones wouldn't help rescue their brothers. I like clones, their personality (and their voice ofc) is perfect.
I hope Crosshair knows tech wanted to save him(they must have told him right?). I wish Tech could've see crosshair's character development his story. I wish no could've knew he joined them. I wish... Tech was alive. They didn't bring him back but how could he be dea i still can't belive and now while writing this i am thinking why can't he still be alive maybe i am being so delusional but they didn't confirmed he is dead if there is no body then there is no death, right? Since the end of season 2 we assumed he was alive but they didn't do anything different in this episode than the whole season to prove he is dead. But we still believed he was alive why cant we still believe he is alive the show ended yes but maybe in the future they will make a clone underground show and maybe tech will return. He probably wouldn't return but i refuse to believe he is dead i will believe he is alive untul they prove he is dead but they probably wouldn't prove it. So in my mind tech will be alive and i don't care if i am being too delusional. 🤷🏻♀️
When i see older omega first i thought she became a liberater of ancient wonders but this ending made so much more sense. Omega left without saying goodbye to crosshair and wrecker. But Hunter and omega's conversation was beautiful. I think they made that place like a museum?
Crosshair and hunter together killed hemlock, they saved omega together, they believed omega, they believed eachother and themselves. That scene was perfect.
Everything went well, we got a better ending what i expected. But tech...
No matter how much we want some stories doesn't have a happy ending this is what i think about even though we have happy ending i will never forget how tech sacrificed himself for his family. in the end they didn't waste his sacrifice in s2 finale and they did what they were going to do before hemlock captured omega in s2. They lived a peaceful life in pabu they retired.
I keep coming back to the same thing, i know but i can't help it. Tech tech tech... Heroic tech.
I've written too many things too mixed up. But if you've read this far, thank you. And I'm so glad I can be a part of this adventure. I started by writing my thoughts about star wars on Tumblr. And here, theories, fanarts, headcanons, everything was beautiful. Thank you everyone for everything. I'm glad I was able to experience the adventures of Bad Batch with you. goodbye till the next adventure.

“okay so tell me again, why the fuck can anyone stand matt donovan?” your friend myra asked.
“um, no one can.” you laughed while putting away the cards to cards against humanity. it was game night for you and your friends plus the guy you’ve been talking to. your friends each brought their own little plus one to the game night this time making things more interesting.
“that's true!” your friend athena agreed. “okay are we gonna start truth or dare?”
you nodded and clapped excitedly. “yes yes! okay let’s start everyone get in a circle.” you said pulling the hand of rafael, your talking stage’s, hand.
“okay who wants to go first?” zoey asked sitting close to her friend nick.
“ill do the honors.” you spoke. “hmm, ryan truth or dare?” you asked. ryan is myra’s little hookup.
“uhh…ill do truth.” ryan said.
“hmm okay, what's your favorite thing about myra?” you ask eyeing myra mouthing a ‘you’re welcome’
“probably how she’s always in a good mood and she looks for the best in people,” he answers.
“awww ryyyy.” myra squeals giving him a kiss on the cheek.
“awww grosss but so cute.” zoey compliments. “okay i have one, y/n truth or dare?" she asks you.
"hmm, ill pick tru-" your answer gets interrupted by the ring of your house phone.
you go toward the phone picking it up slowly.
“hi! this is y/n speaking.” letting them know who picked up.
“i know who you are. y/n.” a weird voice spoke through the speaker. the voice sending chills down your spine.
“uh…okay…what did you need?” you questioned suspecting something was up immediately.
“what do i need hm?” the voice asked. “need you to open your front door.”
“is this some kind of prank call or joke? yeah well fuck off it’s not funny.” you immediately hung up. “fucking losers. prank callers.”
you rolled your eyes.
“they even used a voice changer how patheti-” the ring sounded again.
you were frustrated the phone calls were interrupting your game night so you picked up quickly so you could end it quickly.
“hello?!” you asked a little more aggressively.
“that was quite rude.” the same voice said.
“listen, you’re not funny. you’re actually very fucking annoying and ruining our night so go find someone else to fuck with.”
“aw baby it’s funnier with you.” they laughed. “hey y/n.” the way they said your name had you shivering.
“what the fuck do you want.” you asked.
“truth or dare.” they spoke.
you froze. how did they…
you immediately hung up.
your heart was pounding. that had to have been a coincidence right? there wasn’t any way they could’ve been on the line during that…or worse.
watching you?
knock knock
your head whipped toward the door.
“what the fuck?” you whispered to yourself.
“i got it.” ryan stood up walking toward the front door.
he disappeared in the hall and you heard the door open.
silence.
no voices, no chatter, laughter. nothing.
“r-ryan? who is it?” your voice choked. there was a pit in your stomach.
you heard the door slam closed causing you and the others to jump.
nothing for a few seconds before ryan fell.
a knife in his chest.
your eyes widened in fear. you were frozen unable to comprehend what you were looking at.
at first, you thought it had been a joke but the closer you got the more the smile you had on wiped from your face.
“o-oh my fucking god!” zoey screamed. “what the fuck what the fuck!”
“holy shit.” nick chokes fear seen on his face.
“no no no ryan!” myra screams in agony. “call 911 call 911!” she cries.
you quickly nodded turning back to the phone you had just walked away from but bumped into someone.
you stumbled back before making eye contact with a person with a ghost face-looking mask.
no words came from their mouth.
this time you didn’t freeze. all you did was run.
“run run run! come on!” you shouted causing the rest of the group to scatter and try to escape.
myra was still on the ground crying to ryan who had been gone for a while now.
you stopped, trying to pull myra with you. “myra come on please!” you cried.
she shook her head. “no i can’t leave him here!” she sobbed.
“myra! myra! come on we got-” before you could finish your sentence myra got grabbed by her hair and slammed so hard to the wall that when she fell down she was already gone. her head bleeding onto the hardwood floor.
“n-no!” you screamed in fear. you looked around to see if anyone else was around but all you were faced with were dead bodies. the rest of the group lying on the floor.
you then saw not one but two of the figures of what you saw earlier.
you were on the ground but tried to stand up. your legs so shaky all you could really do was scoot backward until you were met with the doorframe to the hall.
you shook your head pleading for them to spare you. “please please please don’t. don’t kill me, please. what do you want i’ll give you anything.”
you curled up, knees to your chest hiding afraid of what they would do to you.
silence on their end.
you didn’t want to look up afraid that would be the last thing you’d do.
“you’ll give us anything?” a deep voice said.
you lifted your head and made eye contact with a brunette with piercing blue eyes.
you were stunned not only because he was attractive but you’d think whatever did this wasn’t human.
“how much money i’ll…i’ll find a way. please just don’t kill me.” you cried.
the other took his mask off as well revealing blonde hair with the same piercing blue eyes.
“oh baby, we won’t kill you.” he stepped forward offering his hand.
the last thing you’d do was grab the hands of a killer.
“take my hand.” he said.
you shook your head starting to cry even more.
“i wasn't asking. wanna live or do you wanna die?” he demanded.
your lips were quivering as tears rushed down your cheeks.
reluctantly, you took his hand. he helped you up and led you to the couch to sit down.
“what’s your name pretty girl?” the brunette asked.
this was cruel. this was sick. they were asking you questions about yourself while your friends were lying around the room dead.
“what the fuck do you want from me?!” you screamed in their face.
the brunette was quick to grab you by your neck. “watch your tone, baby.”
you froze in fear silently gasping for air. not because he was choking you. no…he wasn’t even applying pressure it was because you were choking on your own sobs.
“what we want is to show you how sorry we are for killing your little friend group.” the blonde said placing his hand on your thigh. when you look down you notice splattered and dried blood on it.
“you’re fucking crazy. you’re crazy.” you repeated. “you need help.”
“then can you help us?” the brunette smiled. he treaded his knife down your other thigh.
you shook your head shutting your eyes quietly trying to control your cries.
“come on if you’re a good girl i promise we’ll make it worthwhile.” he winked kneeling down and nudging your right leg causing it to open up with the knife we was holding.
your heart raced faster and faster thinking about what he could mean by that.

One thing that amazes me about Dark is how it managed to portray Jonas and Martha as the darkest of villains (both committing mass murder by causing the Apocalypse, ordering several murders, kidnappings, lying and manipulating people) while at the same time portraying them as such selfless heroes.
Because when you think about it, Jonas and Martha are actually incredibly selfless and heroic. When they are told that they need to go to the origin world to save it and end the knot, and that by doing so, not only would they cease to exist but their entire worlds and the people they loved would also cease to exist, they both agree to sacrifice themselves immediately (Jonas agrees on the spot, and Martha only needs five seconds to compose herself and agree). And this moment is a very selfless moment for both of them.
I've seen so many people argue that Martha/Eva is selfish, that she only does the things she does so that her son and the people she loves would exist, and yet this moment at the end pretty much disproves this. She is faced with the choice of either continuing the loop of suffering to let her loved ones exist, or saving the original world, and she chooses to save the original world and end the time loop, knowing full well she and everyone she loved would cease to exist. This just goes to show that Eva's goal was never truly just about her family and loved ones, but about preserving life, and when she learns that there's a way to end the knot and preserve life in the origin world, she readily sacrifices herself.
This moment is also an incredibly selfless moment for Jonas as well. One could try to argue that Jonas ending his own existence was something he always wanted, so his sacrifice in the end isn't really all that selfless. But I don't think that's true for the Jonas at this point in time. This Jonas isn't suicidal yet. This is the Jonas that a year ago cried before Elisabeth hung him, because he didn't want to die. This is the Jonas who gave Martha a goodbye kiss when he thought he would cease to exist and was devastated as he walked away from her. Sure, Jonas at this point in time was already seeking a way to erase his own existence, but it wasn't because he wanted to die: it was because he believed that by erasing his own existence, he would save the people he loved (Michael, Martha and everyone else). And sacrificing himself to save the origin world doesn't give him anything he wanted: not only he didn't want to die, but he definitely didn't want to erase the existence of Martha, Mikkel and everyone else. But he still chooses to make this sacrifice, because he believes that it's the right thing to do. At the end, he is not relieved to fade out of existence: he and Martha are both clearly terribly sad and devastated about the sacrifice they've made.
Which is why I believe that both Adam and Eva were never truly selfish: Eva truly believed that she needed to keep the loop to preserve everyone's lives, and Adam truly believed that the only salvation for humanity would be to not exist. We can question their beliefs, of course, but I truly do think they were both selfless and idealistic about what they were doing. And they both moved mountains to do what they believed was right.
I also think it's incredibly fascinating to think about how such selfless heroes could go down such villainous paths all due to the time loop. They are both good people at their core, so really, if it weren't for the time loop, none of them would have ever been capable of committing the atrocities they committed. Jonas only starts to become Adam after trying to change things and realizing that things would always happen no matter what he tries, and after believing that he needed to ensure his own past in order to finally end things. Martha only agrees to follow Eva and gives up on fixing things (like she promised Jonas she would do) because she learns what will happen to the version of her who does try to change things (she will get murdered by Adam) and because she believes she needs to keep the loop to ensure everyone's lives. Jonas and Martha would never do all the things they do (murders, kidnappings, causing the apocalypse, lies and manipulations, traumatizing their younger selves) if it weren't for the time loop that pretty much forces them to do these things.
Which is why their stories are such amazing tragedies and why they're such complex characters. It's a story that shows how two selfless heroes who would willingly sacrifice themselves to save the world can still be forced by circumstances outside of their control to do such terrible things.

i feel like every now and then i have to say that i dont actually hate peepers i just almost every single time i talk about him i cannot bring myself to say i like him .Which i just did but no i didnt i didnt mean it
I dont know why i cant be nice he just makes me react in such a violent way its not even cuteness aggression or maybe it is and i dont know it and i dont really want to think about that. But anyways he really is one of my all-time fsvorite characters from anything ever to exist in the universe and i think his character overall is insanely good and incredibly well written and i think i just get mad because we were left on a cliffhanger and i Know hes supposed to have a character arc but i hate not knowing how it plays out and i Know it was going to be good because. Hes a really really really good character and his dynamic with everyone is r4ally good and i like it I love that hes worse than hater but he's stuck being the commander Him saying 'i should be the one in charge' always makes me crazy Hes stuck Hes stuck Hes stuck but then you also see hes happy being a commander for hater because he likes hater even if he gets mad at him a lot and feels like hater cant do anything and that hes just kind of stupid But he likes making hater proud of him because then he can be proud of himself. Uugghhhhhhbhhhhghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I also like that he has such an intense . idk. for wanting to be the best I know its his superiority/inferiority complex but like. Its really good. You see him thinking highly of himself but other times he feels bad about himself like hes not good enough. and he has bad anxiety sometimes I like that he constantly worries about wanting to do things himself His way He thinks hes the only one who can do things right, who can do things better and i love it i love it so much i love characters who are almost always so angry and they feel like theyre the only ones who knows what theyre doing the only one that has common sense Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. I guess I like him i really do hes such a good character he means so much to me. Die

okay but a thing i think about every time we have one of those few day periods where the weather is not fit for even a dog being outside is how the hell are homeless people surviving this. like i said in a previous post it's currently -40 degrees with the windchill and i honestly cannot imagine how someone who does not have a place to go inside and spend the night is supposed to not freeze to death. it makes me upset every time the temperature drops like this, i cannot imagine how many homeless people will be frozen to death in the next 24 hours if they somehow haven't already. the fact that there are hundreds of empty houses sitting there empty with totally functional heating while people are DYING from the cold on a street corner makes me SO FUCKING ANGRY while at the same time my heart is breaking in pieces for them. rest in peace to every poor person who will not make it through the weekend. i am so sorry.
