I've gotta go to the dentist again tomorrow. I got two fillings done on Thursday but they feel really rough and it's hurting my tongue (plus my brain doesn't stop noticing something like that so I'm constantly aware of it and it's exhausting), so I've got to get that fixed.
this time I have to drive myself, so I can't take any Lorazepam. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a quick visit anyway, at least this kind of thing has never taken long in the past, so. it should be fine, I know that. but I feel so shitty anyway. it's like the anxiety/fear is there right below the surface but it can't quite come out (probably thanks to the anxiety meds) so I just feel off all day. it sucks (though I much prefer this over the actual anxiety, that completely ruined the days leading up to anything like this).

Left my house today to run to Sam’s and Best Buy for work stuff for next Monday. As I live on a main road that connects to an interstate, travel was easy. Main road was wet with a few patches of slush. Interstate was dry, though that didn’t stop dummies from causing a wreck I passed on my way home.
I can’t wait for a warm up. My garage door opener always decides to become spastic during sub-freezing temps. I push the button, it raises up 3.5 feet, then decides to go back down. I interrupt the downward motion and it raises another 11 inches and tries to close again. We play this game until it gives up and finally just opens all the way. I move my car out, then play the game all over again in reverse. 🙄
Tomorrow at 8 I get my molar crowned. Just in time, before the next batch of weather shows itself.

When it comes to something like a table, or a tube of toothpaste, or other simple everyday things where differences between each one are largely aesthetic/don't functionally change anything, I tend to default to the easy option of "grab the first one that works and call it good".
My mother, serial worrier and chronic overthinker that she is, has always been perplexed by this notion, as she sends me 50 near-identical Craigslist furniture ads after I already told her the first one is fine

Here's a fun fact: anytime I don't like something instead of 'not good' I say 'not tasty'
Anyways the nurse at the hospital thought I ate a bandage

Grogu likes Din’s mustache.
So I’m hella excited over the third season coming I just pray we get some more of Din’s feelings about his past, so I finally drew this little thing I’ve been thinking about for a while ;v;
I firmly believe wearing a helmet for your whole life is no reason to not style yourself like you want, so let Din have a mustache if he wants™!, but also I like to think he looks at himself on the mirror and can’t help but think of his dad :’) so he keeps the mustache.
Also pls let Din adopt Grogu and show him his face when they’re alone!!!!

There was an attempt at making fried zucchini. It didn't turn out very well because I'm not very good at cooking.
However, I think putting some ricotta and marinara on top saved it.

Prompt 279
Now Danny didn’t mean to make a Bootube channel. He’d meant to send that sleep deprived ramble to Tucker, but he had clicked on the wrong app and yeah. Apparently people enjoy his space rambles- or it could have been the ghost blob-cats that had decided to flop onto him. (Honestly he wasn’t surprised they would start to mimic the shapes of things in their surroundings)
Tucker? Found it hilarious, as did Sam and Val and… um, okay this has become their shared channel now, nice. Though there are some strange comments on some of the videos. Really, what do they mean green sky and crazy tech???

i want casual, everyday autism in shows. i want autistic characters who need sensory symmetry, who casually mimic anyone's touch on one side of their bodies on the other (or who have friends who do it for them). i want a friend with flashcards or signals for when their friend loses speech. i want people on video calls and body doubling when they do jobs. i want people having conversations without eye contact. i want excited stimming. i want to see someone getting really excited about the tiniest thing thats related to a safefood or a special interest. i want casual, everyday autism.
(edit: october 22, 11:04am - "nonverbal" -> "nonspeaking") (edit: october 24, 9:44pm - "nonspeaking" -> "loses speech")
