I don't like doing this... and I was really seriously debating on whether or not I should do this ( and I really hope this time it's the last I ever have to) but

This blog has been running for quite sometime in tumblr, about a month if my memory is right. However, this blog had very.... very weird takes

Notably anti Brodian one. But then, I checked something in the AITA blog and found.. this

This blog, whose first post is a submit to the account about shipping regarding Alear and the Fell twins of the Xenologue. And then

This blog reblogged it. Except they aren't claiming to be a side account as you can clearly tell. Now, I don't like accusing someone, however I find it very strange that scrolling both blog, not only do they have the same way to express themselves and typing quirck but both blog's first post was an entry to that AITA blog.

Do you see what I mean by "same way of typing" ? Well, that's not all. After searching, I realize that the blog they reblogged "femalealeartruther" used to be active as well

For people already aware, I already pointed out that this person was the same as chaotic flower and timerra lover, two blog that became infamous for championing the idea that F!Alear is the "true canon one" and on hating M!Alear. Evidence as follow :

I really dislike saying that but after checking the blog of aleardivine dragonmonarch, I realized they answered in the same way as THIS blog to ask they receive

The same way they answered to a blog reblogging them and this time with the femalealeartruther account

And again. Those blog all have deactivated.

As I explained I have several reason to believe that not only is femalealeartruther the same person as aleardivinedragonmonarch, but also that they are the same person as timeralover and thus with chaoticflower.

Yes, the same blog who in the right order :

claimmed you were bing racist if you didn't like Timerra's singing

claimmed that Timerra and Fogado aren't popular because people are racist

Hate constantly on Brodia and try to villify it by any means and hate Alcryst in particular

Was being rude towards fanfic authors

Insist on shipping Alcryst with F!Alear even though they hate him

Call anyone who prefer M!Alear over F!Alear sexist

Admitted to have stolen an idea of fanfic for an Alearcryst fic that was shared on Discord and trying to make belive it was their idea first

Have apparently lied on their age multiple times

The thing is that each time they claimmed to be a different person who had nothing to with the person who deleted their account... despite the obvious

Each time they come back with a new obsession and a new way to stir out drama and this time, it's because they dont like the fact that they dislike seeing Alear being shipped with Nel or Rafal and won't block or mute the ship instead they tried to prove that this ship is "problematic" (which imo when you do that it's not a good look for you at all ngl it come across as controlling and mean spirited)

Also, I should say it right away but chaotic flower has apparently displayed such behaviour in other fandom such as genshin and twisted wonderland

I could be wrong but again I find it very strange that several account that hates Brodia, claim F!Alear is the canon one, hates M!Alear ship Alearcryst, insist that the Fell twins are Alear's sibling because of an headcanon and express themselves in the very same manner and keep intereacting with the AITA blog with it always being their FIRST post and regularly hosting polls to test which of F!Alear or M!Alear people prefer would all be run by completely different people.

Also.. again, searching, I realized that a lot of the reblogs that were taking side of OP were having the exact same type quirk and scrolling through their blog there is none to little content which are limited to intereaction with the AITA blog and rebloging from the same blog as aleardivinedragonmonarch and weird captions such as never mentionning which is their main account and all

The last one I am SURE I saw the account femalealeartruther at SOME point reply with the exact same arguments.

If somehow they are different person, then this must be one heck of a coincidence

What does Op says ? They are denying it

However I am clearly not the only one who noticed it

(so yeah they kept spamming the inbox of the blog with Alear related ask and F!Alear in particular)

(all of this because of ship I just can't-)

Keep in mind that those are just several thing I noticed and I am kinda worried to see that this person keeps comming back with a new identity pretending to be a different person and well, cause drama.

Also, OP if you read this. Again, I must reiterate. You are welcome in this fandom as long as you STOP doing this sheet right here. That's just baffling that each time you make a blog and then deactivate it all to come back with a new obsession. And each time you pretend to be someone else. Why can't you just run a blog without trying to spark the flame of discourse ? The block button exist, the mute button exist. It's up to you to curate your own online experience and if you are indeed a minor as you claimed several time you were yet keep insisting on having this behaviour, then maybe it's a sign that you are not mature enough to be on social media. Especially since you speak as F!Alear as if she was a real person and not just a fictional being. I am sure that if you properly apologized and admitted your mistake instead of having several blog running to pretend to be another person just to prove that you are right people would actually forgive you.

As for other especially Alear, Alcryst and the Fell twins fans, I am advicing you to block this person and avoid any intereaction with them. This isn't an invitation to harass this person, if anything just block them.

i think a gentle reminder perhaps all of us need sometimes is that, though we have around here a very free culture about conversational tagging, and tumblr as a social ecosystem treats tags like muttering under your breath or a little aside...

unless they're deactivated or have deleted the original post, the person who made the post you're reblogging is still very likely to see your tags. so will the person you reblogged from directly.

commentary tagging may indeed be much like muttering under your breath, but take into consideration that you are muttering in a crowded room not all that far away from the person you've decided to comment on.

they can probably still hear you. the people around you hear you. and any of those may choose to ignore it or even just uncomfortably look away if your muttering edges into faux pas territory, others may find it very rude or even insulting and not simply pretend they didn't hear you.

you may reblog a post "muttering" about how you think the person who made it made a cringey stupid joke and you don't know why people are laughing. but in this analogy you are all in the same room at the same party and you run the risk that the person who told the joke hears you and turns to ask "hey what the fuck."

you might be fine with that and intentionally open to being confrontational, you may be one of those people who thinks "brutal honesty" is a valid form of connecting with others, but if you would be embarrassed or wince and feel guilty if op turned to you and said "hey. what the fuck. that was really unkind" maybe think twice about what you want to say and how you want to say it, and where you want to chance being heard.

it's not an outlandish expectation that we treat one another with kindness and respect, strangers and all.

@ironwoodprotectionsquad recently started to think about ironwood and the thing I realized is ironwood is having a whole mental crisis in late 7 to 8 ironwood was clearly traumatized from v3 fall of becone you can clearly tell in v7 he's stressed out the man is going through it and to add on his semblance

As stupid as I think his semblance is it only made things worse yet the only person who made somewhat of an attempt to reach to ironwood was Oscar I don't think anyone else tried to do so even v7 everyone just kinda Left ironwood hanging leaving him to deal with all of his issues by themselves everyone is always something isn't right and no one really tries to help him

Then there's his semblance which was only revealed in the commentary for volume 8 his semblance is never once dropped in the show itself which begs the question is anyone even aware of ironwood semblance how come no one pointed that ironwood semblance is the root problem and actually attempt to fix it him just throw him in a cell

Crow treats ironwood like the devil and blames him for clover even though clover got himself killed and tryian was the one who killed him Winter and the ace ops none of them try to talk to ironwood

How come none of them came up with the solution of hey let's break his aura to deactivate his semblance or put on something that can dampen semblances

( not sure if ironwood semblance is a manual activated semblance or a passive one where it's constantly active)

Everyone treats ironwood like a villain and not a man who's clearly going through it and needs some help

synopsis ; al-haitham teaches you (or tries to) a sumeran dance for an upcoming festival <3

! fluff and slightly suggestive <33 a lot of kisses. and he's a little tease. yeah. that's pretty much it. !

this was inspired by an art @kazu-sun sent, though the op sadly deactivated / deleted their account, hence why i will not add it here.

“are you sure you want to put up with me and my non-existent dance skills?”

al-haitham only laughed, not even bothering to reply as he pulled you in close to his body. your eyes widened in surprise when you were oh, so close to his face, almost even kissing him with how sudden he pulled you into his arms.

“i have to handle the idiots at the akademiya on the daily – you’re not an issue, darling”, he mumbled before he planted a soft kiss on your nose. “besides, you’re not just someone i ‘put up with’. you are my pretty girlfriend and you have to learn some of these dances for the upcoming festival. nilou can be a pain in the ass about these.”

“she’s still a better dance teacher than you, i’d say”, you scoffed. “how sure can i be that you are as good?”

al-haitham raised his eyebrow as a ‘really now?’ before he let go of you and you both entered the hall he had asked nilou to give him access to. “let me first show you how the entire dance looks like as a whole when only i do it, then i will teach you step by step how to do it with me, yes?” he said, taking off his jacket and having him only in a tanktop and sweatpants.

it was rather rare to see your lover in anything but his formal attire – he always explained it that his sword is easier to take out in it, as well as the fact that it’s important for him to keep his appearances up. though whenever it happened, you got distracted by how good he looked in those regular type of clothing – especially when he was wearing a tanktop that made his body look even better.

“eyes up here, darling”, he chuckled, noticing how you were lost in your thoughts. “you can have me later tonight once we’re done with you here.” that shit-eating smirk he had on his lips when he said that was pissing you off; he knew exactly what effect it had on you.

“shut up”, you grumbled, this time paying attention to him when he started playing the music to which you two would be dancing in a couple of days during the festival.

you couldn’t help but stare at him in awe when he elegantly moved his body to the sound– how were you going to learn that so quickly?!

“don’t worry, sweetheart, i will teach you. i work for the akademiya, remember? i can teach others easily and well”, al-haitham reassured your worries once he was done showing you the dance, sweetly leaning down a little to kiss your forehead. “plus, i will give you a pretty reward if you do good for me.”

ah, there it was again.

he then finally took your hand, positioning your body perfectly against his as he showed you the first few steps. you groaned in frustration when you just couldn’t get it right when you tried it. “hey, hey, listen to me. it’s okay, sweetheart. we have all the time you need. i have all the time you need. i will give you all the time you need to learn. if it gives you any consolation, nilou almost kicked me out in frustration when she was teaching me this one”, he laughed lightly.

that did make you smile a little, looking at him and putting your arms around his neck when you pulled him down for a short kiss – which ended up not being so short nor innocent. it ended up as a long, passionate kiss, neither you nor al-haitham were showing any signs of stopping with it.

you were softly tracing his toned arms, up to his chest and then slowly down to his abs, feeling him grin against your lips. “you little minx”, he teased. “guess our dance teaching session is already over, huh? how about … we go home?”

you nodded excitedly and pulled him out of the dancing hall, unable to wait any longer, especially not until later tonight. on the way home, he sometimes would pull you back into his arms again and kissing you for a short moment, whispering a little 'i love you' against your cheek with a sly smile on his lips and pulling you– shy and with burning cheeks– towards his place.

I'm not saying adults insisting they only need to read YA books and watch children's cartoons is leading to this culture wide phobia of sex which in turn is becoming a useful vector for the increasing spread of fascism except that is exactly what I'm saying.

Im not that anon but want to expand on their thought, if they're saying what I think they are.

I thought of this more when seeing an old post of someone saying their English teacher should have let them write a report on Divergent instead making them read 1984. Someone commented supporting the OP, saying that they never read Divergent, but 1984 is problematic. Iirc, the commenter referred to Winston (I think that's the protag in 1984; sorry I haven't reread it in years) as a creep. I can't remember is this specific commenter called Winston a misogynist, but that's a common complaint I hear when people say they don't like 1984.

The screenshot of that post also had other screenshots, including the twt posts of YA authors saying that the classics were problematic. It's a sentiment I keep seeing around book twt before I deactivated my account but still on booktube as well, and it's always booktubers who also read and rant about Colleen Hoover, because they know her name gets clicks. Or booktubers that do those videos titled "I read [old/popular/controversial] series so you don't have to".

Sorry, sliding off topic a bit. Going back to what anon said, YA books tend to be more sanitized. They're supposed to be written for a 15-19 audience, so sex and gore aren't supposed to be explicit. There are YA books with sex scenes. 2 I read recently have sex scenes, but they aren't explicit. One uses mostly poetic language and infers to what's happening, and the other essentially fades to black after they get into bed, as they're touching and then picks up the next morning. (One of these YA books had a big controversy on booktube a few years ago for being problematic, though. Gee, wonder why /s)

But for the most part, often for people who enjoy urban fantasy or romances but not steamy scenes, they may go for YA, since it's usually more "PG". Unfortunately, some people get it in their head that this makes YA inherently "better", that adult books that are being more explicit are only doing it to get more sales, when YA tbh has a tighter hold on it marketing-wise.

Okay, I'm not published (yet), but I've been studying it when I need to take a break from writing to see what course is best for me and what I want to write. YA is becoming oversaturated in the market, so it's not as big a "money making genre" for debut authors as it might have been once (and I'd argue that even in the past when YA was smaller, you still had to be lucky, known, or connected to get that 6-figure check for a debut YA novel). YA is more likely to get scrutinized, considering its supposed to he for a younger audience, so a YA author wanting to push boundaries is going to receive more push-back than an adult lit author.

Now pushback happens in adult lit, too, like Ava Reid saying her editor or publisher (I forget who) told her that Juniper&Thorn might be too dark. (I've read it. Yes, it's dark, but bad reviews I saw for the book blew it way out of proportion. If you (gen) like lyrical/poetic narration and gothic horror, I highly suggest it).

But it feels like there's more of a push to keep YA books "clean". You can find some outliers, but like the YA I mentioned above, those outliers in YA that push boundaries can get wrapped in controversy and called problematic.

And for whatever reason, some people on booktube say this is a good thing and say "think of the children!"

They will say censorship is bad but then advocate for sanitized YA to be read instead of classics, because the classics are "bad" and "teach bad things" and "should be left in the past". They advocate for censorship without realizing they are advocating for censorship. It's exhausting, and as someone who wants to be published and does enjoy a lot of YA, it makes me feel discouraged. I don't think I'm "pushing boundaries" at all in my writing or saying anything new, but I'm very sure it's not sanitized enough for most publishers, especially if I wanted to try for one of the beg houses in the US.

Tl;dr One of the major problems in this anti-intellectualism is capitalism.

Glad to give my thoughts. Like I said, I’m very petty and most of this stuff probably isn’t as big a deal to most people. Anyway I’m bad at being brief so I added a readmore. Here are my personal rules:

1: Don’t add anything to the body of a post unless you have something that you really feel will add some degree of value, meaning, humor, context, or at least something to people further down the reblog chain.

This is the most important rule. Adding something to a post makes it longer, it makes it so everyone who reblogs it in the chain after you has to see it. If you have nothing to add but “wow” or “holy shit” you are lengthening the post for no reason. Those reactions can easily go in the tags.

This is also the reason I think gimmick blogs are so annoying. It’s one thing for a “heritage post” blog to reblog things related to its respective gimmick. Simply reblogging them puts that thing on their blog, so anyone looking at it or following them because they want to see “heritage posts” will see it. But they go a step further and add “X heritage post” for no real reason other than to brand the post as theirs.

When I see a post that I like that has useless additions that take up space while adding nothing I get mildly annoyed and go to the reblog of the person who reblogged it before they did just to trim the useless comments off. But if that person deactivated then I can’t trim the comment. Tumblr lets you trim to the original post without any of the additions regardless of if op is deactivated or not with the little X on the reblog menu, but only to the original post. It’s better than nothing though

This whole point is, to me, a bit of tumblr etiquette that makes it so you don’t have to see unrelated comments from someone you don’t follow just because they thought to add a pointless comment way up the chain. This definitely is petty, but if you remember how the old tumblr formatting worked, this was extremely important because each addition took up even more screen space with the line to the next persons url and squished the original post into smaller and smaller spaces. So that’s probably why I feel so strongly about it even though it doesn’t matter as much anymore.

2: The tags are mostly your free space to say what you want, BUT try and respect that OP will likely see them.

A LOT of communication done on this website is done through talking in the tags. That’s not what they were originally meant for but that doesn’t matter anymore. People will likely be looking in their notes to see tags by their mutuals.

The original poster can and will see every tag on a post, unless they delete the post or mute notifications. Mute notifications seems like it doesn’t work, but that’s because it only mutes future notifications on the post, the tags in your notes before muting will still be there regardless

This is to say that in most situations, if the op is someone like me who uses their notes to communicate with their mutuals and others in their communities, your irrelevant tags might also be there and annoy them. So use courtesy when tagging. Thankfully tumblr cuts off tags after a certain point on the notes page but still keep it in mind. I go overboard writing mini essays in the tags all the time, and while I do think that is a little annoying I do it anyway so I can’t blame people.

3: Keep blorbo tagging to a minimum if you can help it.

This is probably my most controversial stance, but blorbo tagging can be really annoying in certain circumstances.

The biggest offender to me are tagging make characters on posts about women. I don’t care that you think he’s your babygirl or whatever, I find this extremely annoying. I get it, sometimes a post fits your character really closely but the gender is wrong, but usually it doesn’t and they’re just doing this on any post even slightly related to a single aspect of a male character they care about. Often because most tumblr fandom people couldn’t be bothered to care about female characters if that was the only way to escape a saw trap alive.

There are other blorbo tag type things that annoy me, and again I’m a petty bitch, so take it with a grain of salt. But to me this one is a little personal (for lack of a better word). One of my first big posts on this blog was about wizard girls leaning in to kiss and having the brims of their hats get in the way. I didn’t mind the blorbo tagging about men that much, but they got less and less related to the post that it was annoying. The last straw before I deleted the post (back when I didn’t realize mute notifications actually worked. It might not have at the time) was a tag about their male blorbos leaning in to kiss and their belt buckles got in the way???

Idk I just find blorbo tagging in general mildly annoying and only do it when the post is an extremely perfect fit for on the characters I care about. I often block people for blorbo tagging about characters from things I dislike, I’m petty and the block button is fun for me to press, so I do that often. :)

4: NOT EVERY POST IS ABOUT YOU!!!

If you see a post that isn’t about you or your demographics or gender or whatever, you really don’t need to make it about you. That will very likely annoy op, especially because no one would have anything against you if you went and wrote your own post inspired by whatever the post in question said.

Not every post about lesbians needs to be made about gay men. Not every post about trans women needs to be made about trans men. Not every post about women needs to be made about men. And probably most important:

Not every post needs to be made about white people!

I know you might be thinking how writing something in the tags about your experience as a white person relating to what op is talking about, but I promise you they don’t want to hear it from us. They almost certainly are seeing tags from other white people because for some reason we can’t seem to see someone posting about issues of racism without having either the “I’m sorry for being white” or “white devils advocate” voices appear in our heads, just ignore it. Bite your tongue and reblog or move on for the love of god stop pestering the op.

Obviously the lesbian, trans women, and women ones are the ones I see in my notes that are annoying. But I can’t pretend I haven’t seen other white people say some really unnecessary shit in the tags / haven’t seen posts by nonwhite people who are clearly annoyed about how we always make everything about us.

Remember, you can always write your own post!

5: OP didn’t “turn off replies”

This feels like something that wouldn’t happen that often, but multiple times when I’ve made even mildly controversial takes about like video games or whatever, people will either add in a reblog or send me an ask complaining that I “turned off replies because I was afraid of hearing them disagree” usually followed by them calling me a coward. It’s very simple, I have reply settings so that people I follow and people who have followed me for at least like a week can reply, that’s it. I don’t have replies from everyone on because most people outside of those categories I don’t care about their opinions and they are annoying. If you can’t reply, that’s probably why. And if they actually did turn off replies, that’s because they don’t want replies, especially from people like the ones I just described.

6: I actually don’t have a problem with spam reblogging

This might seem backwards given my other stances on things taking up unnecessary space like useless comments, but I really don’t mind spam reblogs. I frequently do it when I see art I really like or when there’s a post that really resonates with me. Yes, it is annoying! No, I probably won’t stop. I do it so I can’t judge other people who do too. I am trying to keep it to like 5 times at most though, any more is just overkill.

7: OP is a stranger, not your friend

This one applies basically everywhere on the internet, but unless the person who made the post is someone who is like a mutual or someone that’s you’ve interacted with a lot before, they’re probably a stranger. Don’t try to be “playfully rude” or overly familiar. It’s annoying and weird and you will get blocked.

8: If you’re sending an anonymous ask, remember that OP is not going to take you in good faith most of the time

A lot of anon asks aren’t meant to be malicious, but a lot of others are. Bait, hate mail, insults, you name it, there’s a very good reason people like me assume every anon is sent in bad faith for some purpose. If you are going to send an anon ask, try to make it clear that you genuinely just want to ask a question and that you aren’t trying to trick op into saying something you can use to write a callout post against her or whatever.

You did that in this very ask thing and that’s why I’m writing out this long post instead of deleting it or letting it rot in the inbox.

9: Prev Tags etiquette / “Peer Reviewed” Tags

The usage of “prev tags” is controversial, a lot of people have different opinions on it. But with all the changes they made last year that made it harder to see the tags of the person before the person who’s reblog you are viewing, I think prev tags etiquette has changed.

My personal rules for prev tags are to copy the tags into my own tags, and then follow them up with a tag that says “<- prev tags”. Unfortunately tumblr tags convert dashes into spaces for some reason so it ends up looking like “< prev tags”. I’m stubborn and don’t want to like use an emoji arrow though. Anyway, tumblr mobile conveniently allows you to copy the tags of the person you are reblogging from surprisingly easily which I appreciate.

Unlike previous tags, which stay in the tags and don’t turn into an addition to the post, “peer reviewed” tags as they are sometimes called do get added to the post permanently for the remaining blog chain.

The unfortunate truth about this website is that some people have bad opinions on what qualifies as being meaningful enough to be cemented as an addition to the post via “peer review”. As such, the phrase “how could you leave this in the tags 🤣” has essentially become another “you sir have won the internet 🤣”

The shitty part about that is sometimes there are good and meaningful additions in the tags that are worth being added to the post as a whole. But you can add someone’s tags to a post without saying “how could you leave this in the tags”. Anyway this one is more subjective and hard to define so I hope I got my point across at least somewhat.

Anyway, there are probably a few other rules I personally follow that I’m not thinking about right now, but just follow general internet etiquette and try to keep in mind that op is a person who will likely read whatever you type, that covers most things tbh! An important part of navigating Tumblr is learning when someone on a post has deactivated willingly, or forcefully by staff (sometimes called 'termed', 'nuked', or 'killed')

Everyone has probably seen the telltale signs of a deactivated blog before: the icon being replaced with the generic anonymous image, the follow button not showing up next to the url, clicking the URL will get a grey "deactivated" to show up next to it for a brief moment rather than taking you to the blog, this is constant between the two "types" of deactivation

If someone goes through the steps to delete their blog themselves, the url will update to include a '-deactivated' followed by the date of their deactivation. So if I were to deactivate today (March 13th, 2023) my url would appear as 'foxgirltail-deactivated20230313' on posts I've made/commented on

However, if staff terminates a blog, the url doesn't update and will remain the same forever

Some additional notes:

If someone is the op of a post and has comments further down, and willingly deactivates, sometimes only the original post will show the '-deactivated' url, where the additional comments will be the unmodified url

Some people have been using this updated url trick to appear as though they've deactivated, even when they haven't. These blogs will still have the follow button and clicking the url will still redirect you to their blog, so you can still tell whether a blog is active or not that way

As far as I can tell, this distinction only started showing up in the last few years (post 2020), so you might not be able to apply this to ancient posts

I'm pretty sure deactivated urls update so that the url goes back into the pool, so someone else can pick it up if they want, and staff terminated urls intentionally don't go back into the pool (to prevent the person from remaking with the same url, if not for additional reasons)

#now im wondering what happens if someone makes a blog and deletes it. and then makes another blog with the same url and deletes THAT #during the same day #will both blogs show the same deactivated date or will there be issues because even deactivated urls have to be unique

one of my favorite things about the kids in the hall tumblr fandom is how sometimes people will bring back posts from deactivated blogs or blogs that haven't posted since 2015 and we'll still be sharing them around like they're brand new. like this is a phenomenon that feels very unique to tumblr as a website (posts have a much longer "shelf life" than other social media websites, with most social media you are conditioned to only interact with posts made within the last week at the most, but tumblr just generally circulates older posts much longer without any pressure to make them time sensitive) and unique to kids in the hall as a fandom (media that's existed since the late 1980s/early 1990s so we're for the most part quoting the same sketches and enjoying the same behind the scenes photos as someone would a decade ago, but unlike a larger fandom based on a pre-internet piece of media the amount of content is so sparse that older content won't get buried under newer posts)

idk i just always find it very cool when i see a reblog where the OP was a KITH blog that was mostly active from 2011-2014 and if i have an hour to kill i end up just scrolling through the entire blog and reblogging anything that is still of interest a decade later. i often wonder where these people are at now, if they're still posting about KITH on other sites, if they even remember being a KITH blogger back in the day. even tho the KITH tumblr community is small these types of blogs make it feel bigger somehow, as though i'm finding another friend who shares a similar interest who's currently away, but that's okay i'll leave a couple replies about reboot thoughts and the buddy cole documentary for when they get back, and in the mean time their contributions to fandom get to be enjoyed by this entire new generation of fans

I don't understand why you and your followers can't write "I read a take that said this" instead of posting the actual screenshot, which triggers a witch hunt for the OP to send hate for that specific shot you posted. If you post the takes with the handles attached, hate will be sent even more easily to the OP. If you read the OP's name and then choose at your discretion what to post... how do you manage it? Do you decide how many times the same person can be the target? What are the criteria?

I read under another post that people are happy to be blocked by so called Aziraphale haters. But, if someone wants to be blocked and never see their takes again, why do they specifically go after the “haters” to send screenshots to you and hate to the OP? Why don't you block them and instead wait for them to block you? I ask this with sincere curiosity. I assume that you are in good faith and don't want the fandom to be reduced to a small group of people. I don't write meta or analysis, so I'm not worried about being the target of anything. But a user I’ve been followed since season 2 who posted a lot of interesting metas (a bunch of them supporting Aziraphale and talking about his trauma) deactivated their blog for receiving a lot of hate after simply saying that maybe (not even definitely) Aziraphale screwed up in the end. It seems to me that the tones are a bit overheated. And posting the screenshots, even if you are in good faith, helps to keep the discourse going, in my opinion. I don't know, you have to do what you think is best, of course.

I have written about this in previous posts. LSS people are too scared to reply to the original takes, and it is reassuring to people who felt hurt by the takes to see the specific takes that are triggering to them get called out. I get a message to that effect, thanking me, at least once a day.

We have never done that, we have never considered doing that, we never suggested doing that, and we are never going to do that. They will ALWAYS be anonymous.

About 80% of the takes that are submitted to us are submitted with the handles cropped out. We're instituting a policy for at least awhile of having the handles included when they are submitted to us so we can avoid it sharing too many posts by any one person (still a super weird coincidence that that ever happened - though I think it's relevant to point out here that by far the most obvious explanation for how that happened is that, since that person apparently has a ton of followers - so the reason so many people submit their takes to us is BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE SEE THEM! - Occam's Razor). But we will always crop out the handles before posting. I (Mod X) have even cropped out non-default background colors to help with that. We take this seriously.

When the names are included I make a point of not posting too many by one person. I actually have thrown out a ton of that person's takes when people have submitted them to us with the handle attached, because I wanted to keep things in balance. And I have SIGNIFICANTLY toned down the commentary attached to many of the bad takes people have submitted to me.

This is exactly how it unfolded, as it happens. The person who, it transpires, we posted a lot of takes from (but NOT the majority of the takes we've posted - it turns out that, as far as we can tell, we posted more from them than any other one individual, but we are certain that the majority of the takes we posted were still from other people) blocked the blog about ten minutes after it was created - because they said "depression doesn't exist" and we replied with a link to an article on MayoClinic saying that depression *does* exist (it's another term for Major Depressive Disorder. But I digress). Seriously, THAT was what they blocked us for. They didn't even reply.

And we have NEVER encouraged people to harass OP's. Omitting handles was supposed to prevent that. It should have prevented that.
