anti-anakin people say that anakin got off really easy in the narrative by becoming a Force Ghost and should've stood trial or something, but i honestly cannot think of a worse punishment for a dude who wants to die and be free of his pain and suffering than to sit in eternity with people he wasn't particularly fond of and full knowledge of every horrible thing he did so he can watch his family burn to fix the mistakes he made in his lifetime.

yeah but the absolute gut punch of leia realizing that luke was enough to save and redeem their father and save countless lives, but she wasn’t. and then the twist of the metaphorical knife of knowing that anakin never even knew that she existed. knowing that luke got to be loved / appreciated / known by at least one of their parents as he was, and she’ll never get that.

Oh, god, I really didn't expect to be so ecstatic about seeing Hayden in Kenobi series. I was stupidly smiling throughout that friendly fight scene and now I can't wait for him to appear in Ashoka. Be it wholesome or angsty I crave me some force ghost shenanigans.

Darth vader in comics is wild because he's evil but like. While palpatine and tarkin and other empire high ranking officials were being like I shall genocide countless cultures and races and subjugate planets with force and imprison a shitload of people to fuel the empire's military expansion. The Republic is gone and an authoritarian dictatorship will take its place
And then Vader is like I'm going to build a SITH PALACE in a lava planet I'm going to CURSE my underling so he has to fight for eternity as a half physical, half ghost state. I'm going to podrace into a SANDSTORM, I'm going to inadvertently save a civilization by battling a MASSIVE shark monster while riding a epic black horse creature, I'm going to battle palpatine à la a kaiju battle, both mind controlling a beast to fight in our stead. Meanwhile also sobbing over padme whenever given the chance,

I think a lot about how Luke was really Anakin's son when he was younger. Isolated on Tatooine, offbeat and unhappy, isolated. He had that wild spirit craving to run until he couldn't run anymore, staring into the suns and letting them burn his eyes because he was so lacking a thrill. He was building his life on sands he could only wish were shifting, trapped with people he loved but bitterly resented. And then how he matured into Padme when he was able to step into himself. Calm and kind and experiencing the world with vision realistic, but also eternally optimistic. He was finally at peace, with the ghost of Padme holding onto his shoulder, as he reconciled with his father, as he shook hands with a galaxy that had dealt him an extraordinarily terrible life.
THEN when I think about how Leia was pressured to be Padme's daughter as a child, already at odds with her planet as an adopted princess. She was out of place on a planet she loved, a beautiful malapropism. The pressure hung on the edge of every compliment she was fed. She was expected to behave like perfect royalty, with all the elegance of her forgotten mother, when in reality, Anakin's desperate fire was eating her from the inside. Even if she exceeded at her role as princess and politician, it always felt like gritting her teeth every hour of every day. And then she joined the Rebellion, after all of her gut-wrenching losses, and unleashed the part of her that was always her father. The part that never forgave him but always saw his shadow in the mirror, the part that echoed his devilish grin and his impossible dreams.
The twins may have never known their mother, and one of them never shook her hatred for their father, but they paralleled them in every way. Padme and Anakin's tragedy was the question, Luke and Leia were the answer.

"I just don't understand it Anakin," you told your secret boyfriend.
"I like holding your hand, it's warm and soft... like the rest of you." His eyes slowly raked up and down your frame before saying, "I so rarely get to feel your beautiful skin against mine. Please grant me this, my angel."
"I do enjoy it as-well. It's just I don't understand why you feel the need to not only hold everything I carry alongside holding my hand." Your boyfriends entire right arm was filled with bags from a day of shopping. When he could disperse the load by splitting between two arms, he refused. Don't even think about holding something yourself, he says it's in the Jedi way to help those in need, you think he just wants to feel strong.
"Feeling strong is nice but also, I do like helping you," he quipped.
"You Jedis and your mind tricks..." you said playfully.
"You love my mind tricks!"
"Well yes, your use of the force is amusing at times, but stay out of my mind!"
"My apologies, Y/n," he said in a cocky tone. You smiled and squeezed his hand in response.

When the two of you were on your way to one of Senator Amidala's charity banquets, Anakin had insisted on driving. Though the Senator had a transport ready to bring you both, he refused yet again.
"Are you sure? We have some of the best pilots available," The senator mused.
"We do appreciate the offer Senator, however we will be able to transport ourselves just fine," Anakin countered politely.
"Alright. Well I do hope to see you both there."
"You will Senator," you insisted.
Padme had always been tolerant of you and Anakin's rather close relationship. Though not knowing many details, being an intelligent woman, she was able to put the pieces together. She never told a soul and Anakin and you were eternally grateful.
Now the night had came. When you both got settled into your transport, Anakin wasted no time holding out an open hand to you. You accepted of course.
Halfway through the ride to get to the event hall, you felt his metallic hand smoothly caress circles on your hand.
"Did you add another update to your arm? It moves even smoother now."
"I did, actually! I was hoping you'd notice. I also made the overall gears in the arm, much quieter so I can be stealthy. And I also..." he continued explaining the different mechanics and things about his arm on the rest of the way to the event hall. Occasionally, you would feel his hand squeeze yours a bit when he got very excited in what he was talking about.
The only time that night when his hand left yours at all that evening, had been when you both had arrived at the banquet.
"One moment," Anakin said in a slightly annoyed voice. He dropped your hand for a moment to exit the transport. You were about to do the same when he beat you to your door. Once it was open he held his hand out again for you to take. You both remained connected the rest of night. Anakin was ecstatic about being able to be so open about your relationship. For one night neither of you had to hide your secret romance from everyone else.

"Ani," you began.
"Yes?"
"I need to go to the bathroom." The pair of you had been strolling along in the gardens of Naboo. Padme had been kind yet again to open one of her houses to you and Anakin.
"Of course, let's go."
Upon stepping into the house, you tried to away from his grasp. However, he didn't let go.
"Are you serious?"
"Very."
You scoffed as you took him with you to the bathroom door. "I have to go now."
"You really don't, we can work something out."
"No I don't think we can. But hey," you threw your arms around his neck, and said very softly, "I'll think of you as I go."
"Just as I do for you," he responded just as soft. You two stared at each other for a moment before breaking into laughter.
"Okay I actually really have to go now!"
"Think of me!" Anakin replied as he walked back into the living room.
"Will do!"

So, Star Wars is not about the love between Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker. Not really.
The whole saga is about Obi-Wan's love for Anakin. Darth Vader remained alive because Obi-Wan was unable to kill him. He loved him so deeply, he couldn't kill him.
Obi-Wan's love for Anakin is so enormous that when he doesn't have anything to live for, he remains in the shadows for decades protecting Anakin's son. And he only lets go, when he see Luke and Leia reunited. His mission is fulfilled then.
Star wars is not about the romantic love between Padme and Anakin, is about the eternal love that Obiwan held for his former padawan, best friend and brother.

The vase contains the water of eternity and represents spiritual wealth.
The perfect lotus corresponds to purity.
The shell-shaped bugle prevents evil from occurring.
The infinite knot symbolizes infinite love and a long life

Something I noticed in the Ahsoka premiere was the Macbeth reference. Episode 2 is called “Toil and Trouble,” and with the Nightsister witch Morgan Elsbeth as a primary villain, it’s not surprising that we got a reference to Shakespeare’s famous witches:
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
This isn’t the only reference to Shakespeare that Rebels and Ahsoka fans have been discussing lately.
@jedi-nurse shared this with me recently. It’s an official Topps digital trading card featuring Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger. The card is titled “Star-crossed.” This could be a reference to Shakespeare’s most famous lovers, Romeo and Juliet.
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whole misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
The term “star-crossed lovers” is generally used to describe two people who love each other deeply but cannot be together due to tragic circumstances, and I think this is where Sabine and Ezra are at the beginning of the Ahsoka series. They aren’t the first pairing in Star Wars to be associated with the term either. In Attack of the Clones, John Williams gave us a beautiful love theme for Anakin and Padme’ called “Across the Stars” which suggests that they are the tragic “star-crossed” lovers of the Star Wars saga. Being an eternal optimist, I believe that Sabine and Ezra will have a different fate than Anakin and Padme’ and hopefully a much happier ending.

All of these cards feature pairings with chemistry and the potential to become canon, or they literally are/were canon couples in Star Wars. Some of these couples even had children together.
