“You know, I am High Lord.” Eris murmured against your exposed neck, “I could so easily decline the invitation-“

“No,” you grinned, moving his wandering hands to cup the ever so slight bump that rested above your womb- one that had turned Eris feral when it had finally made its hardly noticeable appearance days before. “We cannot keep it from them forever.”

“I can do as I please,” he retorted as you sighed, watching him in the large mirror you both were stood in front of.

“So can I.” You smirked. “You made me High Lady, remember? I have just as much power as you.”

“How could I ever forget…” He mumbled with a lazed smirk as you drank in the sight of him- dressed in fine maroon layers laced with gold, his crown perched lazily upon his auburn curls. He pressed a lingering kiss to your shoulder, his veined hand splayed protectively over your growing babe.

“It is only one evening, I am sure even you can tolerate that,” you mused, straightening your vermillion skirts and joining your much smaller and softer hands over his. “No matter how you feel on the matter, Rhysand will still be their uncle.”

“No need to remind me,” Eris grimaced, his feelings for his brother-in-law still very much apparent after all those years.

The two males coming to some sort of unspoken agreement they would remain civil for the sake of the most treasured female in their lives.

“Is Big Bad Wolf of Autumn afraid of my older brother?” You began to laugh as he nuzzled his head against your collar as one of his hounds might. “Worried he might castrate you for impregnating his little sister?”

It was Eris’ turn to smirk then.

“Bunny, if that is what will bother him, I can assure him I have done far worse.”

You rolled your eyes, a light blush on your cheeks at the insinuation of his words, softening when he spun you around to force you to face him properly.

With his slender hand angling your chin, amber irises burning an impassioned fire through your own, there was nothing that could escape him.

Not even the small pout that had come to rest on your full lips. The ones he had to fight himself not to lose himself in right there and then.

“You know I only jest my Love, I will behave how you ask of me. Anything you desire-“

“I-It is not that,” you breathed, eyes brimming with tears you could only blame on the growing flame in your stomach. “It is just…”

“Tell me,” Eris’ usually composed face flickered with concern, his sharp brows pulling together in worry, his senses ever so more heightened since news of your newfound state broke. “Whatever is wrong I will resolve-“

“I miss my home,” your voice was shaky as you refused to meet your Mate’s eye, unable to bear the hurt that flickered across his face. “I…I miss my family, and…And times like these just remind me that my child will not be raised the same way.”

Eris did not know how to respond.

He would have liked to think he had made you feel comfortable in Autumn- that his home was just as much yours than anyone’s.

That if you ever wanted to leave, you would tell him- not that you ever had to. He never stopped you from visiting, hell, would always accompany you- begrudgingly, whenever you wished for him to

“Are…Are you not happy here?” He could not hide the disappointment in his tone. “If you wish to leave-“

“No, Eris,” your tears began to fall at the sight of him- so vulnerable, thinking that he could never be enough for you. “That is not what I mean I…I never wish to be apart from you again, you…You are my true home.” You felt worse when he began to comfort you, sending waves of love down the bond as he gently thumbed circles into your lower back, his gestures more delicate than ever since your pregnancy.

“Whatever you want, Bunny, I will ensure you have it,” his words were sincere and you couldn’t help but break into small sobs, knowing just how far he would go- the things he would sacrifice for you.

It might have terrified you once, but now you understood why. You understood because you would do the same for him.

“I just…I just wish things were different,” you knew he had been trying, that your brother had too, but tensions were still rife amongst the courts. With loyalist Advisors Eris had yet to wheedle out and men like Keir who respected your husband than his own High Lord, politics were never simple. “O-Our child will not be brought up with same customs, attend school with their cousins-“

“If that is what you wish who is to deny you, High-Lady?” You couldn’t help but laugh through your tears, melting into your husband’s arms as though his muscled chest was the only salvation from the rest of Prythian.

“No I…I-I want them to know of their heritage- this heritage. To be part of their own Court’s customs…Be like their father,” Eris couldn’t help the way his own heart tightened at that, having to remind himself if not by anyone else, you were proud of him. “I just…I just wish we could have both…”

“Who says we cannot, hmmm?” He wiped away your tears, thumb lingering beneath your glittering eye, the ones it had only taken him one look in to be hooked on for the rest of his breathing days. “I shall see to it we spend a quarter of our year in Velaris. We will have a family residence where our children will be able to live freely in such a place that is theirs too to call home.”

You noticed the way he had said children.

Plural.

Despite his anxieties, he subconsciously was hoping for more.

“B-But what about you? Your duties-”

“My Love, why do you think I have delegates? And what else is Lucien useful for if not performing tasks that are below me?” You scoffed at that as he chuckled, tucking a stray curl lovingly behind your ear.

And no matter how unsettled he felt in Night- the stares that would follow him, the distrust certain members of yours- now his by proxy, family still scathingly looked upon him with, he would stomach it.

He would compromise anything- everything to ensure your happiness.

“Is residing in my old apartment no longer good enough for you?” You let out, trying to lighten the mood. Chin coming to rest at his sternum, reminiscing of the times when the only way to see him was to sneak him through the wards of your private quarters.

“My darling, I would buy every property in that wretched place if it would bring back your smile.”

You poked him in the ribs as he groaned.

“You just wish to show off your riches and have us live in a grander estate than my brother’s…On his own land.”

“You know me too well, My Love.”

And so that night, when you broke the news, with happy tears from Feyre and Cassian, drunken squeals from Mor (who had already known) and crushing embraces from Azriel and even Nesta, Rhysand did not have the heart to slight Eris.

And in return, neither did your Mate.

A warm smile on his hardened face as you tried to explain to a babbling Nyx- who couldn’t understand a thing, that he was to have a cousin. Watching you flourish with a new glow, surrounded by your family- surrounded by love in your childhood home.

Your home which you had opened to him.

A court of the Unforseen

Chapter 11

"The changes we dread most may contain our salvation." - Barbara Kingsolver

Eris Vanserra was shaking, his hands inconsolably trembling as he adjusted the buttons at his lapel. He aimed to appear less unruly than what his person was currently upholding, yet the blood of the shadowsinger seemed to etch deep into his very soul. No amount of soap and water could erase the silky vermillion river from between his pale fingers.

Yes, it was physically gone, washed away. But Eris could still feel the ichor seeping in every pore, every cavern of his hands and his face. Almost crystallising a very curse into his mind, like a jewel in the crown of his damned facade.

Eris swallowed it all down, deep into the pit of his stomach so he could re-enter Akiro’s celebration. The High Lord adjusted the short, stray auburn curl dangling across his forehead. Fixing up the shadowsinger and waiting for him to wake from the clutch of unconsciousness had taken the best part of the evening, and Eris knew for sure that Akrio would’ve noticed his absence.

Who needs a soulmate when I got you? (Prt 4)

Author note: another short story with Eri and Aizawa. This is either late or really, really REALLY early. Have fun with some soft moments for a bit.

I awoke to light shining on the hardwood floor, the beams reflecting straight into my eyes. I groaned, rolling over in bed to try and fall back into the sweet release of dreams. The little footsteps coming over from the bed on the other side didn’t help however, neither did the insistent tugging at my covers.

I cracked open one eye, and was immediately bombarded by bright vermillion eyes, and a soft touch on my cheek. Some of the horrors of the operations came in, but I had enough practice with her to push them aside.

I chuckled, my voice raspy with sleep. I sat up in bed, wrapping my arms around my adorable alarm clock, pulling her into my lap.

“What’s gotten you so excited this early?” I asked, tapping the pad of my forefinger to her nose.

“It’s Easter!” She exclaimed. I furrowed my brow. Was it April already?

“Eri, it’s Christmas, Easter is in April,” Aizawa said from the hallway.

I looked over to the calendar, seeing it was indeed Christmas. I sighed, taking Eri and sliding off my bed. I put her down, walking over to the closet and rifling through miscellaneous items. Eri peeked over my shoulder, tip toeing to get a look.

“Why are you going through the bottom of the closet? Your clothes are hanging.”

“To find this.” I pulled out a little iridescent gift bag with whit tissue paper coming out of the top. She looked at it, then up at me.

“Who’s that for?” Oh, how my heart broke. I kneeled down, handing the bag to her. Ske looked up with curious eyes, and I just smiled.

"It's for you sweetie," I said. It clicked, and she went straight for the tissue paper, tearing it out and getting to the gift at the bottom. Her eyebrows went down, her mouth opened a bit as she lifted the present out.

"What is this?" She pulled out a white unicorn plushie with light blue hair like hers. Aizawa came over, sitting down on the floor. He smiled as he saw the gift.

"Why, it's a unicorn. A lot of little girls like you have an obsession with these things." He explained. His fingers twirled in the plushies’ hair.

"And it looked like Kusari here got one that's just like you."

"I'm… a unicorn?" She looked up, glancing at the both of us. I nodded, taking the plush to better show her.

"See this here? That's their horn, where all their magic is stored. Like how your quirk works!"

"I'm magical?"

I giggled, handing her the plush again. She held it gingerly, pawing at the hair and horn.

"Thank you." She smiled, fiddling with the stuffed animal. I nodded, taking the tissue paper and bag off the floor.

"Days not over yet, I have another present for the both of you,"Aizawa said from behind me as I was walking out. I looked back to see him holding up two envelopes kk l. I raised an eyebrow, shuffling back over while Eri ripped open her envelope.

I took mine from his hand, sliding my thumb under the flap. Flipping it up, I noticed there were a few documents in there that looked very official. I took one out, unfolded it and skimmed through the contents, focusing at the paragraph on the bottom

By this document, the court declares that Kusari and Eri are now under the ward of Shouta Aizawa, making them effectively his next of kin and they are now under his guardianship until deemed otherwise.

Kusari Aizawa and Eri Aizawa are now under Shouta Aizawas’ care from here until stated otherwise.

Tears started to roll even before I read the names. Eri was by Aizawas’ side, tugging at his pants.

“So, are we now your daughters?” She asked. He nodded, a toothy smile plastered on his face. She ran over to me, waving the paper she pulled out.

“WE’RE SISTERS NOW!!” She squealed. Lifted her up, spinning her in a circle while we both laughed out loud. I stayed like that long after the world started to blu in my vision. I stopped in my tracks when I felt a hand on my head. I looked up, Aizawa’s grin welcoming me, his guilts creeping at the edges of my mind. I couldn’t care anymore, I tackled the man to the floor with Eri. We all gigggled uncontrollably, his arms wrapping around us.

“Trust me when I say, I’ll be here no matter what. We are a family now, and family takes care of each other,” He whispered. That just made me go over the edge, tears can me freely while I sobbed loudly, sniffling into his shirt. I had a family, people to take care of me.

It was too perfect for it to last long.

as someone with sensitive hearing and has trouble staying comfortable in loud situations, how would tfp predaking, soundwave, and knockout help someone (cybertronian) calm down in these situations

TFP Predaking

He's more likely to remove someone from the situation.

I don't mean pull off to the side I mean fully plucked from the ground and flown off somewhere.

If a person is overwhelmed in the situation then simply removing them from the situation is his logic.

Predaking will guide them through the quiet sky to give them some time to calm down.

If that does not work he would have them focus on his purring.

TFP Soundwave

Soundwave is smart. He would manually turn off the audio receptors.

High intelligence and long nimble fingers that are perfect for handling the delicate operation

The bot in question would probably not realize it had been done until Soundwave was able to get their attention and gesture to their helm.

If they still need to calm down some more Soundwave would allow them to return to their room and keep an optic on them in the camera feed until they felt better.

TFP Knockout

Similar to Predaking except instead of removing the bot, he kicks others out of the area.

Then he makes sure the bot is comfortable and in a quiet environment.

He then has them try to focus on steadying their spark beat and check their level of overwhelmedness

He stays with them to make sure they are good mentally before leaving.

Y/n groaned as they sat up in their bed.

It's just one of those unfortunate nights where the mind would not let the mind rest. As they came to that realization, they decided to get up and do something productive....like the extra credit assignment the teachers gave them.

Putting on their slippers, y/n walked down the hallway before they paused as something echoed in their ears. Y/n was going to walk away, thinking it was nothing when the sound echoed again.

'She's crying, again......'

Y/n turned their body to face Eri's door. The sounds muffled from the door separating them from the outside and from Eri trying to quiet herself.

With no second thoughts, Y/n opened the door to the room. Eri's head looks at the opening with an expression of shock. Y/n walking in, kneeling near her bed, and looking at the little girl.

"Another nightmare?" Eri could only nod hesitantly at the pointed question, quickly wiping her eyes of tears. "You know the body can harm you here right?" This time though, that question made the little girl silent. "Can you do me a favor?"

Eri looked at Y/n with a look of scared confusion. "okay..."

"Can you scoot over for me?" After some internal deliberation, Eri agreed. Y/n moving into the bed and covering the both of them in the warm covers. "It's easier for me to protect you from those nightmares if I'm there to stop them." they smile at the child.

Eri's eyes shining at the promise of safety, allowing y/n to pull her to their side in a protective manner.

"Sweet dream, Eri. I'll keep the scary things away."

"Thank you, Y/n......" Eri smiled before closing her eyes.

Aizawa was awake doing some grading when he decided to check on Eri. The sight did not surprise him but it was nonetheless touching.

The memory of Y/n sleeping on Eri's bed as the younger was cuddled into their side.

Looks like the nightmares are going to be kept away for a while.

Hi! Can i request headcanons for Nozel and William for an arranged marriage scenario with a noble woman who’s from a family of very strong wizards. Like how they would approach the situation and if they would try to make the best of the situation by getting to know the woman more and how they would do that

Nozel Silva

Nozel would go along with it if he found it beneficial enough for him to do so.

If he doesn’t think so, its not happening and as the head of House Silva he will just deny the proposal.

Nozel is more likely to observe the fiancé from a distance then straight up engage with them.

When they do interact its polite and courteous but still an arm's length away from affection.

The woman would have to do her best to break through his defenses by trying to find literally anything that would start a meaningful or heartfelt conversation.

I think what warms up Nozel to the arrangement is if the interest in him and the well being of his family was genuine.

Being strict with him regarding his health is also a plus because it means value for his well being and not just his status.

The nail in the coffin though would be an elegant but frightening display of magic. It shows that they can hold House Silva with a logical, considerate, and calculating way where he doesn’t need to fret when the affairs feel beyond his control.

He was skeptical in the beginning but comes around to his fiancé with time.

William Vangence

William is more likely to accept the proposal out of politeness than gain. He doesn’t understand why someone would want to marry him but if it’s what they want…...

Again, the fiancé would need to be the first one to extend their hand toward William in a more romantic sense. Definitely wants a relationship based on love more than service.

I think this would start off as doing little acts of service. Nice little things that make him go ‘you don’t have to do that.’

In his mind, he doesn’t deserve it, but they are insistent and these acts of service then turn into a genuine interest in his life.

He would see the magic they possess as impressive but if it’s used in a gentle approach to make others or himself smile that will spark some feelings.

William’s mask would also be of interest to the fiancé but William always finds a way to steer the conversation away from it.

If the fiancé makes a sincere apology about invading a touché topic they promise to drop it but hope that he will be open to talking about the mask with them. Love and respect should go both ways and not be a one-sided ordeal.

Words like that will have William melting and view his fiancé in a more romantic view.

He has to pause his game to look at y/n with his best 'wtf' look

They've seen him right??

"You're a fucking idiot." Earns a laugh from y/n

And then they start flirting with him

Shiggy.exe is not working and he genuinely thinks they are making fun of him

One day he just snaps at them, that they don't need to make fun of him all the time

He feels pretty embarrassed when he realizes that they were genuinely complimenting him

It still makes him feel weird but Shigaraki is learning to accept the verbal affection

MHA Dabi

Dabi is a good sport

Quick to return the flirting because its not serious in his opinion up until they start to feel really genuine

Then he's quick to just grunt in acknowledgment

He understands that they are being genuine but that doesn't mean he's just going to accept them.

Is not willing to admit that the compliments make him a very happy man

In other words, Dabi will accept the flirting but if the compliments get too genuine he will immediately deflect the emotions he feels by making it sexual

Y/n rolls their eyes but gets he's not going to be genuine about his reactions anytime soon.

Fuegoleon Vermillion

I'm picturing a quiet individual, on the shy side, and more on the anxious side

The sight is almost funny to behold with this tall man yelling his passions to this shy person quietly giving the same affections back quietly with a stressed expression.

Constant uplifting and confidence building speeches from him are always appreciated by s/o

Fuegoleon also encourages them to try things outside their comfort zone in order to gain more outlooks on those around them.

When it comes to Fuegoleon, s/o is good at recognizing anxiety in him.

They encourage him to take things slow every once in a while because no matter the goal he has set they 100% believe he will reach it.

Its something that he greatly appreciates from them since even strong-minded people have their own moments of self-doubt

This relation works as it provides one person with the opportunity to open up to new experiences and gain confidence while providing the other person with the chance to slow down, be validated, and get their own encouragement.

Nozel Silva

Nozel's s/o is an extroverted individual. Impulsive and or a lack of a better word, crazy. Which means they speak up about how they are feeling about a situation right then and there.

A quality Nozel no doubt finds annoying from time to time but at this point, s/o doesn't really register his words/actions as something to worry about.

Most would think this relationship is doomed just watching them, but all are surprised that it works.

As a royal and magic knight captain, Nozel must conduct himself in respectful and acceptable behavior at all times. S/o does not have to. So while he has to keep himself in check at all times, S/o has no problem sticking their two -cents in when something is said that makes their man uncomfortable or from being disrespected.

They also encourage him to act on his own desires or try things that are otherwise unbecoming of royalty

Nozel balances out this impulsive behavior by being the voice of reason so whatever insane plan they've come up with...

It is at least is reasonable and can be executed with efficiency. Resulting in minimum property damage and s/o with no massive injuries. The other side is avoiding something reckless entirely

This is a relationship that balances impulse and logic providing what the other needs while protecting one another.

William Vangence

For William, I see someone who is extroverted like Nozel's s/o but I'm going to say with an attitude equivalent to a spoiled brat

One that will basically be a brat to everyone but him. Perhaps try to get on his nerves only to find his bottomless pit of patience.

The dynamic between this relationship is mainly one person learns to consider the emotional needs of others while the other person is reminded that they are more than their job snd its is okay to be selfish every once in a while.

William makes his s/o reflect on how their actions affect others and while they can occasionally have good intentions at heart it is not what reflected others.

Patience is another one that s/o learns in that they feel more at peace with William. They always demand something from others but William reminds them demands from others aren't what bring happiness and he helps them to find this calm peace for themselves.

S/O acts as William's....louder voice by scheduling breaks for dates and just general breathers from work.

In fact, they pretend that this is for them when its really for William and that's easily shown by how they spoil him.

Trans Webcomic Character Tournament: Group Stage

It's taken... uh... we won't talk about how long it's taken, but the Trans Webcomic Character Tournament is ready to begin!

This tournament will be broken into two stages: a round-robin group stage followed by a sixteen-character single-elimination bracket.

For the group stage, characters are divided into ten groups of four* and members of each group will face each other in a round-robin format. The group winner will be the character who wins the most matches in the group (an exact tie counts as a win for both characters). If two or more characters win the same number of matches, then the total number of votes each character received will be used as a tiebreaker.

That gets us to ten characters advancing to the elimination stage, but we still have six more slots in the bracket. Those slots will be filled by the six characters who received the most total votes* without winning their group. Seeding for the elimination bracket will also be done by total number of votes received in the group stage.

This means that (for example) being in the same group as an extremely popular character won't automatically doom your favorite. It also means that collecting as many votes as possible matters, even if a character gets a bunch of those votes while losing.

Polls will last one week and will happen when they happen; I can't promise any particular schedule but I'll try not to post an overwhelming number at once or go too long without posting any. Groups are listed under the cut.

*Since 41 characters qualified for the tournament, Group A has five characters instead of four, and each character will be in four head-to-head matches instead of three. When comparing the total number of votes received, I'll adjust the Group A totals to take that into account. (Functionally, I'll be comparing the average number of votes per match, but total votes sounds more impressive.)

Synopsis: After a deadly disease spreads rapidly across the globe survival of the fittest becomes an understatement. With violence around every corner you’re left no choice but to do what you must to live besides you aren’t one to turn down easy pickings. So when you come across a huge compound with tons of resources and slow guards you get comfortable. A little too comfortable. Stealing more rare items that make them suspicious that eventually leads to your capture by a mountain of a man who leaves you to the mercy of his vermillion eyed boss. And now all your roads are leading to a dead end.

Warnings: Graphic depictions of violence, blood, spitting, body horror/gore.

You stare down at the ground, the dirt freshly upturned and rearranged in such a way that it is obvious a deep hole was just freshly covered. Dandelions and other small flowers sit atop the pile as Eri clings to you with wet lashes.

Dressed in an old faded black dress, as she sniffles. You place your arm around her, pulling her closer as Kota comes to rub her back. Kirishima, Sero, Denki and Shoto stand off to the side as Graham looks at the dirt pile with a frown and his best black clothes.

It was somber at the compound, life seemed to stop, at least for today. The makeshift cross stood as a marker for the grave that would be visited by Eri often.

By everyone.

Single handedly took care of the compound. Of everyone.

A life taken far too soon.

Fat tears fall down Eri’s cheeks as she sniffles.

"Are ya fuckin serious?" A gruff voice asks as steel toed boots crunch across the gravel that lead to the little graveyard, still his muscles strained against his best black button up, "We're really having a funeral for a fuckin chicken?"

"Look, I hated that bitch Margret too." You chide, opening your arm wide for the tall ash blonde to slip by your side, "But she was the compound's first chicken. She met an untimely death."

He wraps his arm tightly around both you and Eri. Giving Kota a look as if to say you better comfort her big time to which Kota nods. Instinctively your eyes fly to Bakugou's right forearm. Of the white fishers in a familiar row yet not straight or fully crooked. Curved and indented in small tight rectangles reminding you just whose funeral this could have been. Squeezing his ribs tighter to which he bites back a cough. His ribs still bruised but at least that fucking bite was healed.

You relive the day, it was only a month ago and yet it felt like it had been years.

Decades.

Fighting against Kirishima who swore to his friend that he would personally take care of him before he turned should he ever get bitten. Dragging him through the cold dark tunnel before Kirishima finally caved in. Picking up Bakugou's limp body before sprinting to the Manor. Popping up in Bakugou's bed room as you ran to get Eri.

Eri who was in shock as her last shred of family lay dying. She grabbed for something sharp and you had to stop her from cutting too deep. Letting the blood drip into his mouth as you pressed harshly against his adam's apple to get him to swallow. Eri said it could take hours even days before they would know if it worked. That fifty fifty chance haunted you.

And after he passed out the second time. Eri said there was nothing we could do but wait.

So you had busied yourself. Rushing into the place that was once your only solace here. Promising yourself and Judy that you'd properly bury her. That you'd take care of the space, make it lively again.

You don't notice the makeshift grave marker in the courtyard by the flowers as you rush in. Ready to do anything to keep your mind off of Bakugou. But in his true asshole nature he is all you can think of. Even now as you stare at the scrubbed clean carpet and walls. At the brass cart that was now dusted, the handle fully clean and the only other book that was never put away. Her glasses and ring sit in the washed out tea cup on the cart just in front of the check in counter.

The world felt heavy then and you sank down to your knees and sobbed. Cried breath snatching tears as they fell from your cheeks. Mourning the world, finally mourning the Before and Eden, your roommate, and the childhood that Eri and Kota lost out on. On your own young adult life forced into surviving and Judy who even in death, chased after normalcy as she endlessly wandered around the library.

Her home.

And now of the possibility of losing the only man you thought you'd never love.

Your eyes mist at the memories, Bakugou notices right away. Leaning closer to you to press a kiss in your hair line. Voice feather soft as he whispers.

"I thought you hated Margret." He pulls you and Eri closer. She may have taken your skin, may have chased off all sorts of threats but she was only protecting her own. Protecting the chicks and the eggs she laid.

Died fighting off the snake, killing it with her vicious beak, striking just right while it was wrapped around her.

But her home was safe, at the cost of her but it was safe. She reminded you of someone else, misty eyes looking up at him, his rough features soft for just a moment.

"Yea, I thought I did too." You admit, "Guess things aren't as black and white as they seem."
