if i were elon musk on twitter i'd do the following:

(i'd like to preface this w idk how twitter works)

idea 1)

- institute a lottery based publicity system

- - every person has a .0001% chance (or some very small percent) of being the Only Person other people see on twitter for the day.

- - you can pay a dollar to double the chance, and this compounds, so:

- - - baseline: .0001%

- - - 1 dollar: .0002%

- - - 2 dollar: .0004%

- - - 3 dollae: .0008%

.....

of course there'll be a point where you get over 100% chance to subject yourself to everyone else for the day, and every time a new person pays that much to twitter, they supplant anyone else who already has paid for the day. And it resets at midnight, so if you pay however much money at 11h58 or smth you have less than 2 minutes to subject people to your person.

contrarily, you can pay several thousand dollars to reserve the day for yourself! But if your posts get reported more than a hundred times or so after paying for this, you get banned from twitter.

idea 2)

pay 2 dollars to say if you think someone isn't actually the person they're verified as. If more than 《insert obscenely low number here》 people do this in 《large window of time》, you get permanently banned. There is no counter to this, no "i think this person actually is who they say they are", just if 5 people think you aren't donald trump over the course of a week, you no longer are allowed on the platform.
