So I’ve decided to take a break from the Friday the 13th movies to watch some of the Nightmare on Elm Streets ones so I can be ready for the crossover, and I watched the first two last night.

I just finished the third one, and I’m so MAD that Simms didn’t die. God, what a bitch. At least Neil redeemed himself in the end. His suicide comment had me hoping he would die, but he came around in the end and proved himself a hero.

I’m so mad that DBD doesn’t have the original license... Nancy is such a badass and I love her.

The inclusion of Dokken is like... my favorite thing ever lol. Those kids all deserved better and I hope 4 is at least a tiny bit kinder to them.

Plot: You think its your boyfriend. Well, he's dead and it's not.

When your eyes fall on him, his soft brown eyes and his crumpled band t-shirt waiting for you just outside of class, you feel happiness bubble up in you and a beam spread across your face.

"'M here to pick you up sweetheart- you ready to go?"

Before he can even get his keys out of his camo pants you've thrown your arms around him, burying your face in his shoulder. "I missed you!"

"Bunny- I appreciate the warm welcome but I dropped you off this morning! You okay??" He sounds baffled, and a little amused, but he drops the pursuit for his car keys and rubs your back instead; making you sigh. His hand lands on your hip then, and squeezes, and you press your face more firmly into his shoulder. You missed him so much.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Love you."

"Heh... I love you, too."

After a moment, you pull back and look at him. That ruffled hair, that sharp jaw, those happy eyes. You don't notice the slightly off-kilter way he's standing; his left shoulder dropped ever-so-slightly- or you ignore it.

It feels so real. It's gotta be real. You swear, that it's real.

Gently you lean up and press your lips to his, feeling his kiss for the first time, since-

God it feels so so real. He melts into it, pressing his mouth so softly-firmly against yours that your head goes fuzzy and fizzy. Vaguely, in the back of your mind, under some discarded papers, there's a part of you telling you it can't be, though. That this doesn't taste like him, that he's not wearing his usual cologne. That you're not kissing him right now, it's impossible, because he's-

But you don't listen. It's totally real, you think, tilting your head and wrapping your arms more snuggly around his neck. It's real, it's real, it's real, you chant in your head.

You missed him so much, you can feel it in your bones. The relief at having him here against you again makes you ache and feel better then you have in days, since he went to sleep and he was- since he went to sleep and the next morning, he was found-

Again, your thoughts stop just before they can finish. They fight to get through, but you... You almost don't want to finish them. A part of you knows what's going to happen when you realise, a heartbroken part of you aching dully inside.

Slowly the hand on your hip grows out, the fingers stretching longer and getting sharper. You hear it like a sword coming unsheathed and you feel blades sliding against your hip.

But you keep kissing him; theirs a desperation, now. A need to hold on, to keep him. Him; Your highschool boyfriend. The one you survived elm street with that first time in your senior year. Who you broke up with in your first year of college because the work load was too hard. Who you found, again, a year later. Who Freddy finally, after 3 years home-safe, kil-

You don't want him to go, again- you just got him back!-

Polyester turns to wool under your touch as he suddenly deepens the kiss, forcing your lips open wider. His tongue grows out longer down your throat, and-

You choke, the spell broken and reality crashing down around you as you realise the wolf in sheep clothing that you're kissing. Eyes opening, you use one forearm to shove Freddy off of you- and he's smirking and leering like a goblin at you as you trip back onto your ass; covering your mouth. Tears grow in your eyes from choking on his horrible tongue and also remembering that your boyfriend is dead.

He's dead. And Freddy's back again. And you're in a nightmare that never ever fucking ends.

"What's the matter there, princess, you wanted me pretty bad a second ago~ "

"You evil, evil freak." Tears overflow, filling up your furious eyes and then bubbling over onto your scowling cheeks; holding yourself up with the heel of one hand digging into the boiler room floor behind you. The other still covers your warm, tingling lips.

With a too-pleased grin, Freddy takes off his hat and does a deep bow in front of you, holding his hat to his chest like some kind of gentleman magician. "... oh you're too kind~ "

“Do you want to dance?”

Damian looked up from his perch on the the building’s ledge at the voice that startled him.

Lazarus eyes and white hair that flickered candle at the tips. He gently swayed in the air to the song the band on the stage set high above the park.

When the family had heard rumors early in October of a city wide haunted party that was to take place on Halloween night, they were all on high alert.

The thought of the dead being brought back and raising hell on the streets constantly on mind and in the possibility of rouges ruining the night close behind.

Until they met Phantom.

“It seems that the party is what one would call a success.”

Danny hummed as he joined the bird on the rooftop,

“Thank the ancients for that. Has there been anything suspicious?”

“Nothing abnormal,”

Damian glanced at his family participating in the crowds. Richard swung from Greyson to Greyson, with each twirl and flip through the air a smile graced his face. The three Greysons once again in the air together.

“though with how badly you intimidated the villains I can not particularly blame them for mostly hiding away.”

Danny snickered as Damian found Jason twirling around one who he could assume to be Catherine Todd looking like a fool.

“Yeah, well, what can I say? Being the King of all afterlife has some perks.”

The young king sighed as another song came to a close,

“But seriously, why aren’t you having fun? We worked out butts off to have tonight go down flawlessly yet you haven’t joined the rest.”

The Drakes were chatting to the side under an elm, the faint glow of the Specters bounced off the old camera around his neck.

Come morning the prints would most likely deteriorate into nothing but blurs but the sentiment was there.

“So,” Danny cocked his head to the side “penny for your thoughts?”

Bruce waltzed with Damian’s grandparents with this adoration in his eyes that made Damian look away, into the eyes of the silent monarch.

“It just felt.. crass for me to join the festivities. I was an assassin, a trained killer once. I have blood on my hands and I did not want to cause a stir.”

“You act as though you are the only person here tonight that has blood on your hands. In your family alone assassin trained in not an minority.”

“Even still, I am not clean, I have killed hundreds and still have troubles holding myself back at times, it could cause unnecessary stress on your subjects,”

Damian sighed,

“before my father’s absence the only death I had encountered were the targets and the people who ‘failed’ in the league for one reason or another. I never had to grieve, and those who I know that perished most likely would not have been allowed in this visit anyways.”

“Even still, there is no reason to mope. You can’t help who you come from little birdy. What matters is that you have came to terms with your past actions are are working hard to make up for them.”

Damian glanced back to the ghost as he felt a cold hand mesh with his.

Surprisingly, he did not seem to mind.

The two sat like that in silence as the gleeful participants continued on unaware.

“You know, for what it’s worth… I have had a blast in Gotham with you these last few weeks. If the high king of the infinite realm can look over your upbringing than I think you might be selling yourself short Robin.

“Damian,”

“Oh?”

“My- my name is Damian.”

The ghost let out in an unnecessary breath before a gentle smile graced his lips,

“Alright Damian, my name is Danny. Would you care for a dance?”

hi, anon! my messages are always open so please come yell at me about 911 and metal! i need more mutuals in the fandom!

ok, ok. but have you considered tommy singing along to slipknot? or black sabbath?

personally, i like to think tommy listens to mostly 80s and 90s metal bands because he was born in ‘84 (if you’re going off of lou saying they’re the same age). so like metallica, dio, black sabbath, motley crue, probably even gwar. i think he got into newer metal bands from going to festivals or shows when he could and just finding what he liked. and thats how he got into bands like slipknot and motionless in white. but yes to ice nine kills too!

i think buck listens to punk and more alternative music himself. mostly like green day, the offspring, and bad religion. cuz he’s a 90s kid.

i’m sure he’s dabbled into metal as well, probably nu metal. so i think he probably knows some of the songs in tommy’s playlists but most likely not all of them. but if did hear ice nine kills and ask about them cuz the references aren’t too hard to figure out in most of the songs (at least if you’ve seen the movie or read the book).

but also i think that buck hates horror movies. like he’ll watch the cheesy slashers, sure. the classics like the original friday the 13th or nightmare on elm street. but i don’t think he’s keen on newer horror movies, especially after he joined the 118. something about not taking his work home with him. maybe he liked them more when he was kid or teenager but he almost grew out of them when he became a firefighter. i think he feels similarly about war movies too. so ice nine kills may not be his favorite band that tommy listens too, but he still likes the music.

either way i think buck finds it extremely hot when tommy is working out to his metal playlist.

This week in 1987, Dokken released the single for DREAM WARRIORS, which was used as the theme song for A Nightmare On Elm Street 3. Shortly after the film's release, the track peaked at #22 on the Billboard singles chart, and became an obvious choice to be featured on Back For The Attack later that year.
