I haven't written in the past few days, but I'm back now. I have finished my exams and Eid al-Fitr is just around the corner. I am really very excited for this holiday. I hope that makes this eid pass without me getting sick.

April 10th is closing in. It will be Eid El Fitr. One of two Islamic feasts.

Palestinians suffering during Ramadan is horrible. It's our most sacred month, but it's a month of fasting and prayers, and while it absolutely isn't easy for Palestinians, but at least it's easier than going into the Eid without food or celebrations.

Eid El Fitr is a day of celebrations, gifts, money gifts to children, many baked desserts left and right. We hoped it would be over by then. I am still praying for that

Yesterday I went to Eid prayer, Alhamdulillah. The sky was amazing and I met my sister's friends too. This is the first time in two years that my sister and her husband go to Eid prayer with me. They spend every Eid with her husband's family, and she feels really unfair because of this. I hope that these meaningless customs and traditions will end. They always put the husband's family before the wife's family. This is disgusting. I hope it ends soon. But I was happy because I prayed in a group with the women, watched the sunrise, and wore wonderful clothes. It was a beautiful time. Thank to Allah.
