My point is that the ice and fire in a song of ice and fire are literally the ice and fire powerhouses re the white walkers and the Targaryens (and stannis & the fire lord etc), and they’re both the villains. Goodbye.

https://youtu.be/E3JiYIDycoE Comprehensive car insurance provides financial protection against damage to your vehicle from a broad range of dangers besides just collisions. Also referred to as "other than collision" coverage, a comprehensive policy covers your car from risks like theft, vandalism, weather events, fire, and even animal strikes. While optional, comprehensive insurance is recommended for most car owners to safeguard their auto investment against unpredictable losses. What is Comprehensive Car Insurance? Comprehensive coverage is an optional add-on component of an auto insurance policy that pays to repair or replace your vehicle if it's damaged by any cause other than a collision. Some key facts about comprehensive insurance: Also called "other than collision" since it covers non-collision damage Protects against theft, vandalism, weather, fire, explosions, riots, animal strikes, and more Typically has a deductible amount you pay before coverage kicks in Pays claims up to the actual cash value (ACV) of your car at the time of loss Premium cost varies based on car's value, location, and your deductible Comprehensive along with collision make up the two main types of coverage for physical damage to your own vehicle. Liability insurance is mandatory in most states to cover damage you cause to others. What Does Comprehensive Insurance Cover? Comprehensive protection encompasses a wide variety of non-collision damage causes, including but not limited to: Theft One of the biggest risks comprehensive insurance covers is theft of your vehicle, whether in part or entirety. It provides reimbursement in case your car is stolen and not recovered, or for the cost of repairs if it's damaged during theft or when recovered. Comprehensive also pays if parts like airbags are stolen from your auto. Vandalism If a vandal smashes your windshield, spray paints your car, or damages it in other ways, comprehensive will pay for repairs. Egging damage is also covered. Weather Events Flying debris, hail damage, floods, falling trees/limbs, snow/ice damage, and other weather hazards are covered by comprehensive when they damage your vehicle. Fire Comprehensive will cover repairs or replacement if your vehicle catches fire from mechanical issues, electrical problems, gas tank explosions and other non-collision causes. Animal Collisions Striking an animal like a deer, moose, squirrel, or even birds is considered a comprehensive claim. Damage from encounters with large animals can be extensive. Riots Civil unrest and riots can lead to smashed windshields, dented panels, and other vandalism. Comprehensive insurance covers such damage. Explosions If your car is damaged or destroyed by an explosion not related to a crash, comprehensive will cover the loss. Gas tank explosions fall under this scenario. Falling Objects Rocks, trees, construction debris and other falling objects that hit your car will be covered under the comprehensive portion of your policy. Comprehensive also pays for damage from power surges to electrical systems, rodents or insects chewing wires, windstorms, and other uncommon but possible mishaps. The key is that comprehensive covers anything that damages your car EXCEPT collision or overturn accidents. How Comprehensive Insurance Differs from Collision and Liability Coverage To understand comprehensive insurance, it helps to distinguish it from the other major components of a standard auto policy: Collision - Covers repairs to your vehicle when damaged in an accident, regardless of fault. Subject to the deductible. Liability - Pays for injuries or property damage you cause to others if you are at fault in an accident. Bodily injury and property damage liability are mandatory in most states. Comprehensive and collision are both types of physical damage coverage for your own vehicle. Liability covers damages you cause to others. Common
examples: Collision covers hitting a tree, rollover accidents, and multi-car pileups Liability pays for injury claims from other parties you injured Comprehensive covers hail damage, theft, flooding, vandalism Choosing both collision and comprehensive provides complete coverage from all accident causes, while liability protects you from the biggest financial risk - harm to others. How Does Comprehensive Insurance Work? When you file a comprehensive claim, the process generally works as follows: The damage or loss occurs from a covered cause like theft, hail, fire, vandalism. Collision accidents are not covered. You pay the agreed deductible amount out of pocket for repairs or replacement. Comprehensive deductibles are commonly $250, $500 or $1,000. Higher deductibles reduce your premium cost. The insurer then pays the repair shop or reimburses you for the remaining repair bill or the vehicle's actual cash value if it's declared a total loss. The insurer will only pay claims up to the car's depreciated value at the time of loss, minus your deductible. Your premium may increase at renewal due to the claim. Higher deductibles can help limit rate hikes after a claim. Comprehensive provides peace of mind by limiting your out-of-pocket costs from damage by causes outside your control. Premiums and deductibles should align with the value of your vehicle - you don't need high limits on an older car with low book value. Who Needs Comprehensive Insurance? Comprehensive coverage is optional, but recommended for most drivers to protect their vehicle investment against disasters, theft, and random acts of damage. Here are some factors to consider: Most Car Owners Comprehensive makes sense for anyone who couldn't easily absorb the cost to replace their vehicle if it's destroyed or stolen. Total losses from theft, fire, flooding, and animal strikes are covered by comprehensive insurance. New and Late Model Cars The first 5-6 years of a vehicle's life carry the highest value and replacement cost. Comprehensive coverage is critical for expensive new and late model used cars. The premium cost is also lowest when cars are newer. Leased and Financed Vehicles Banks and lenders almost always require you carry comprehensive (and collision) coverage to protect their collateral interest in your financed vehicle. High Crime Areas If you live in a region with high rates of auto theft and vandalism, comprehensive becomes more important and more affordable due to the increased risks. Urban areas typically have costlier comprehensive premiums. Extreme Weather Regions Hail, floods, windstorms, and severe winters can wreak havoc on your car. Comprehensive ensures you don't take a big financial hit from random weather events and natural disasters. On the other hand, dropping comprehensive (and collision) could make sense if you own an older vehicle worth less than $2,000-$3,000. The premium savings may outweigh the reduced risk with a minimal value car. Comprehensive insurance keeps your assets protected and limits financial worries if catastrophe strikes your vehicle. For most drivers, the relatively low cost makes comprehensive coverage a wise investment. What Does Comprehensive Insurance Cost? Comprehensive insurance premiums vary substantially based on your vehicle's value, your deductible, and location risk factors. On average, drivers pay $125 per year for comprehensive coverage - much less than the $1,600 per year spent on collision coverage. Here are some factors that determine your comprehensive auto insurance rates: Vehicle Value The more expensive your car, the higher the comprehensive premium since repairs and replacement costs are higher. Comprehensive rates for: Older used cars - $100-$300 per year Late model cars - $200-$600 per year New cars/luxury vehicles - $600-$1,200+ per year As the car depreciates each year you own it, the comprehensive premiums g
radually decline as well. Deductible Amount Choosing a higher deductible saves substantially on your comprehensive premium. For example: Comprehensive DeductibleAverage Premium$100$282 per year$500$154 per year$1,000$134 per year Of course, you pay more out-of-pocket if you file a claim. Choose a deductible amount you can comfortably afford if damage occurs. Location/Garaging Zip Code Insurers charge more for comprehensive coverage in regions with higher rates of animal collisions, severe weather, theft, vandalism, and uninsured drivers. Urban areas also tend to have costlier comprehensive premiums. Vehicle Use If you use your car for business or rideshare driving, comprehensive rates will be somewhat higher than for standard personal use. Claims History Filing comprehensive claims can increase your premiums moderately at renewal time. Higher deductibles help minimize the rate impact of claims. Bundling your comprehensive policy with the same insurer that provides your auto liability and collision coverage can also save you 10% or more. Overall, comprehensive is one of the most affordable components of auto insurance. Is Comprehensive Insurance Required? While nearly every state mandates some level of liability coverage, comprehensive and collision insurance are optional. Here are some instances where comprehensive coverage is required or strongly recommended: Leased and Financed Vehicles If you lease or have an auto loan, comprehensive and collision coverage is almost always mandatory. The leasing company or lender requires it to protect their financial interest in your car. Make sure to obtain the mandated minimum limits. Rideshare Driving Major rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft require drivers carry comprehensive and collision coverage, even if your state doesn't mandate it. This ensures your car is covered for damage incurred while transporting passengers. High-End Cars Many insurers require drivers of extremely expensive luxury vehicles to carry comprehensive and collision coverage. Repair and replacement costs for top-end supercars are too high to risk going without full coverage. Teenage Drivers Adding your teenager to your policy often requires getting comprehensive and collision coverage for their protection, even if it's not mandatory in your state. This ensures repairs or replacement if they damage the vehicle. Check with your insurer, lender, or leasing agent to confirm required insurance coverage amounts. Purchasing only the state minimum liability provides no protection for your own vehicle. Comprehensive fills a key gap for insured losses other than collisions. Tips for Getting the Lowest Comprehensive Insurance Rates While comprehensive premiums are among the most affordable coverage components, there are still ways to minimize costs: Raise your deductible - Going from $200 to $500 cuts rates up to 40% Bundle with same insurer - Also carry your collision and liability with the same company Check discounts - Multi-policy, anti-theft devices, good student, and safe driver can all lower comprehensive premiums Limit claims - Avoid small claims to limit rate increases at renewal Compare quotes - Rates vary among insurers, so shop around for the best comprehensive price Maintaining a clean driving record, good credit score, and selecting a later model used car over a brand new vehicle can also save you money on comprehensive insurance. Comprehensive coverage provides strong protection for your vehicle investment against unpredictable damage from road debris, severe weather, theft, vandalism and even animal collisions. While not mandatory, comprehensive car insurance is a relatively inexpensive add-on that pays for itself the first time a stray shopping cart dents your door or hailstorm cracks the windshield. FAQs What does comprehensive car insurance cover? Comprehensive ca
r insurance covers damage to your vehicle caused by non-collision events, such as theft, vandalism, fire, falling objects, weather-related damage, and accidents with animals. It also covers windshield and glass damage. Is comprehensive coverage required? Comprehensive coverage is optional, but if you finance or lease your car, your lender may require it. What's the difference between comprehensive and collision insurance? Comprehensive insurance covers non-collision-related damage to your vehicle, while collision insurance covers damage caused by a collision with another vehicle or object. Should I purchase comprehensive auto insurance? Whether or not you should purchase comprehensive auto insurance depends on your personal preferences, financial circumstances, and the value of your car. If you would have a hard time coming up with cash to repair or replace your car on your own if misfortune strikes, comprehensive coverage could be worth it. How much does comprehensive insurance cost? The cost of comprehensive insurance varies depending on several factors, such as your car make and model, driving record, credit history, and zip code. According to Bankrate, the average cost of full coverage car insurance, which includes comprehensive coverage, is $168 per month. #Wiack #Car #CarInsurance #CarRental #CarPrice #AutoLoans

very interested in the idea of Toa being able to "curse" places using some kind of Nova blast. like Ice Toa being able to bring decades of winter or Water Toa bringing floods every season. or an Earth Toa destroying the life of the earth around him so nothing will grow there for years and years even after he's gone. I'm thinking maybe it would be a deadly kind of Nova blast, so placing a curse takes all of the Toa's energy, meaning that only the most furious or desperate Toa will lay a curse because the cost is their life. something dramatic and bad-ass like that yknow
also I think that other species should call Toa who have visions or weird psychic powers witches, eg: that witch Fire Toa from Metru Nui is causing Teridax problems again. thank you for your attention to this important matter

Love how in one of the caps on your post one says let them deal with that fandom as if it was something terrible, like hello ir's not our side of the fandom sending death threats to Jensen and to other fans, investing time and effort in ruining Misha's career and life, viciously insulting Jensen's wife... How can't they see the kind of shitty people they are!!
I'm waiting for the inevitable "welL YoU trieD tO deSTroY wAlKER!" because these fucktwats are functionally incapable of dividing people (human beings) from business (retailers, production companies, etc) or products (TV shows, things purchased, characters associated).
And because people had a morally had an issue with a company/related business (The WB, the CW, CBS), and a series of decisions that they made (cutting content, bad show handling on multiple products, firing marginalized creators, paying maga hat Norris big money, copaganda in the same year as George Floyd, or PR for a certain one such as the ICE comment), they made sure to do that thing millennials love to do which turns capitalism in on itself ("NO NOT LIKE THAT" - conservatives. And bronlies. Funny how those always overlap) and choose not to consume the product (television shows) and make sure other people know not to and why (boycott)
-- but these people can't divide the People from the Business or the Products (Eg "we ship this fanon fictional incest ship and these people don't look together but must be because codependency conversations so the business must be involved in preventing it, it's all connected") -- so other people doing normal behavior like Boycotting is "attacking the Person".
And that same inability to delineate things is going to make them feel justified in attacking the Person (Jensen) over a choice made in business (Chaos Machine) that is already several degrees detached from the other Person (Jared) who is related only several degrees down now at this point: (CW, Supernatural, T.O.D. 2020) and thus trying to follow the Person (Jensen) to other business (Amazon) to inflict harm on the person (Jensen), rather than any actual gripe with the product (Supernatural, The Winchesters) or the Business (Chaos Machine.)
Or even more random, some of them attacking a Whole Other Person (Misha) over a choice made by someone else (Jensen) about a business he's not directly involved in (Chaos Machine) but targeting Other Person's (Misha's) career and business (Publisher) because... reasons?
Fuckin batshit.

Prompt Day 17: Field Surgery
Breathe Easy
"Why are you breathing like that?" Tony snapped. "Stop breathing like that!"
"It'd be easier - to stop - " Loki wheezed, "breathing altogether."
"Are you trying to be funny?" Tony seethed.
"Hah!" Loki let out a chortle that sounded too painful not to be an expression of suppressed agony, evidenced by the sudden buckling of his knees.
Tony lunged forward and caught the Asgardian's toppling frame before he could inhale a faceful of sand. "Loki!"
"Heh," Loki rasped in between coughs. "Don't think I've ever heard you call me that before - "
A coughing fit drove all breath out of him, eerily silent despite the violent seizing of his chest.
"Are you choking? Is that what's happening?" Tony's hands hovered over Loki's quivering back, unsure if he should thump it or rub it or whatever the hell one was supposed to do in this sort of situation -
Call someone! Tony thought. I should call someone.
"FRIDAY!" He shouted. "Get Banner on the phone now!"
"Doctor Banner is away on a humanitarian relief mission in the Middle East, Boss," the AI answered. "He is currently unreachable. Would you like to leave him a voice message?"
"Well, get me Doctor Strange, then!"
Loki was not going to like this, but Tony was running low on options. "Or is he out freelancing too?"
"No…" Loki moaned.
"Doctor Strange is on the line for you, Boss."
"Stephen!" Tony shouted in relief.
"What is it, Stark?" An irate-looking holographic live image of Stephen Strange popped up. "What is going on? Where the hell are you?"
"Not important. Loki needs help."
"What kind of help?" the Sorcerer Supreme asked warily.
"I don't know! He's having trouble breathing, and before you ask, no, it's not from a spell or a curse. It's a work-related injury, caused by aliens and sheer stupidity."
Tony tried to glare at his lover but at the sight of Loki writhing on the ground, his anxiety won out.
"Please, you gotta help him," he pleaded.
"Tony, I am thousands of miles away in Kathmandu. I'm kind of in the middle of a crisis myself," Stephen said with a voice tinged with desperation. "I can try to wrap things up here, but it's going to be a while."
The sounds of Loki coughing must have caught the sorcerer-doctor's attention when he suddenly winced, "Is he coughing up blood?"
"No!" Tony looked again, and blanched at the sight of blood spattered on the desert floor like paint. "Yes! Oh fu- "
"Stark, calm down. How much blood?"
"What do you mean, how much?" Tony's voice shrilled. "There's blood, isn't that enough?"
"Expose his chest, I need you to tell me what you see," Stephen ordered.
Tony did as he was told, ripping away Loki's mangled chest plate and tearing all the layers of protective leather underneath.
"Any visible chest wounds?"
"No, none that I can see."
"Rib - fracture," Loki gasped. "Felt it crack."
"Loki's saying it's a rib fracture, said he felt it crack."
"Chest pain?"
"Yeah. A great deal of it, from the looks of him," Tony said worriedly.
"You mentioned breathlessness?"
"Uhuh. He can hardly breathe," Tony said. Surely Stephen could hear Loki's desperate gasps from all the way there in the Himalayas.
"Are both sides of the chest rising equally?"
Tony scrutinised Loki's black and blue torso. "The left side isn't rising at all."
"Okay. It could be a number of things, a flail chest or a collapsed lung, but a pneumothorax will kill you the fastest, so now I want you to feel his trachea."
"Let's just forget my insane IQ for a second and pretend that I'm very, very stupid," Tony growled. "How and what do I feel?"
"His windpipe, Tony!" Stephen said in exasperation. "Feel his throat with your index and middle fingers and tell me if it's central or deviated to any one side!"
"Can't you doctor people speak like a normal person?" Tony groused.
He traced his fingers down Loki's neck as gently as he could. In his distress, Loki had thrown his head all the way back and his neck muscles were contorting under the strain but the displacement of his Adam's apple was obvious.
"The windpipe's deviated, yeah."
"To which side?"
"To the left."
Tony could sense Stephen's impending relief, as well as the hope in his next question. "Whose left, yours or his?"
"Uh, mine?"
Tony heard Stephen curse under his breath. "Goddamnit, Stark, it's always the patient's right or the patient's left!"
"And I was supposed to know that how??"
Stephen ignored the indignant outburst. "There's no time to lose."
"Wh-What is it?" Tony grew frantic at the sudden change in his friend's voice.
"This is one of those life-threatening emergencies most of us don't get to see in all our career, so...congratulations."
Despite the light humour, the former surgeon sounded deadly serious. "And you need to listen to me very, very carefully coz you're gonna be the one to fix it."
"Fix what?" Tony's mouth felt suddenly dry. He had a mental image of cracking open Loki's chest and he felt instantly sickened.
"It's a tension pneumothorax, Tony. Most likely scenario is the fractured rib punctured a lung, causing air to leak into the space between the lungs and the chest wall. But it's a one-way valve, and all that air is trapped inside his thorax with nowhere to go."
Tony swallowed hard. "That sounds bad."
"It's very bad," Stephen agreed reluctantly. "If you don't release the trapped air, all that pressure will compress his heart, his aorta - "
"Yeah, I get it," Tony interrupted. He did not want to hear Stephen say it; he could see it in Loki's eyes, glassy and damp with fear.
He had only ever seen lips that blue on corpses.
He had only just kissed those lips this morning, right before the Quinjet dropped them off in the middle of the Mojave Desert following a tip-off that the rogue Kree soldiers they were looking for were holed up somewhere here.
Powered by technology siphoned off the Tesseract, the Kree's advanced weaponry had stunned Tony to the point of paralysis; if it had not been for Loki stepping into the line of fire, he would not be alive right now.
"You can't wait for me, Tony," Stephen stressed. "He won't make it before I get there."
"I know," Tony said softly. "Tell me what to do."
He listened to Stephen's instructions. A part of him protested at the thought of hurting Loki further, but he knew it had to be done.
He groped down the side of Loki's ankle strap where he knew Loki kept a small knife on him at all times.
"Do you trust me?" Tony asked quietly.
Loki nodded feverishly, never breaking eye contact, fearful to even blink.
Do what you must, the unnaturally bright green eyes seemed to say.
Tony's own eyes watered. "I love you."
I love you, Loki's bloodless lips worked silently around the words, but Tony heard them all the same.
He leaned down for a kiss as cold as ice.
The taste of blood galvanised him and he ran his fingers down Loki's breastbone, looking for the dip in between the second and third ribs.
"Midclavicular line," Tony muttered, following the space between ribs as instructed, reminding himself of the landmark Stephen had repeated over and over. "Aim below the second rib, in the midclavicular line..."
And Tony slid the knife in.
"That's it. Go a little further. It's alright, just keep going until you hear a pop or a hiss…."
Tony could hear Stephen egging him on in the background, but it was all white noise. All he cared about was getting Loki to breathe again.
Suddenly there was an audible whoosh of air as though a balloon was being slowly deflated, but nothing was more beautiful than the sound of Loki gasping in a full breath, the first ever since Tony had dug him out from under the rubble of the Kree mothership Loki had destroyed in his wrath.
Stephen let out an uncharacteristic cheer over the connection, sounding mighty pleased with both himself and his student. "Well done, Stark!"
"Yeah." Tony's head swam and he sank heavily onto the ground, Loki's bloodied knife dropping and disappearing into a shrub. "I did it. I can't believe it."
"Feels great, doesn't it?" There was envy in Stephen's voice that Tony did not quite understand but couldn't care less about, not at this very moment.
He walked his knees across the dust and gathered Loki into his arms, trembling limbs and fractured ribs and all.
"Loki." Tony ran his fingers through the dusty curls to try to shake off all the trapped sand. "Loki."
"I'm here," Loki said, sounding absolutely and utterly exhausted. He wrapped his arms around the metal arm, the one closest to him and holding him for dear life. "I'm here, Tony."
"This is the shittiest Valentine ever," Tony said, his voice cracking ever so slightly.
Loki chuckled weakly. Each breath was now easier than the one before. "I'm sure there are people out there who are having a worse Valentine's Day than us."
"You think so?"
"I know so," Loki sighed into Tony's chest. "They don't have you."
"You scared me, Games."
"And I am going to scare you again, I'm sure. But never intentionally."
Loki gazed up at his saviour, his reason for living, his heart. "This I promise you."
Tony calmed as the adrenaline finally left him and the love flooded in in its wake.
"Good enough for me, Bambi."
He bent down once more for a kiss, sweet, long and tender.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Baby."
"Happy Valentine's Day, Anthony."

art project: in winter of year 2, you will receive a letter from luka requesting 100 pieces of clay upon her return in summer of year 3. completing this quest will reward the farmer with 1000g and a handcrafted piece of jewelry.

how would you make villain kai or zane a thing?? i . rlly adore the concept ive gotta know more
Bro I GOTCHU!!! I had someone ask me about this in a reblog so I’ve been THINKING!!! Head empty no thoughts only evil bf’s.....
Anyways I’m thinking like, what if Zane, after the ice emperor thing becomes absolutely CONSUMED with guilt and self hatred because he, in some deep hidden way enjoyed having the power.. and doing bad things.. and he’s absolutely a WRECK over it... so one night while he’s alone and lowkey having a breakdown over the amount of guilt he’s feeling Kai finds him.. they have a talk and Kai makes him spill what’s got him so upset. After hearing about it all and zanes hidden emotions over the whole thing, Kai reveals what happened with Chen and the staff of elements and how he briefly felt the same way and he’s also been consumed by guilt over lowkey liking it as well, and they have a discussion about how it felt good to do bad things.. and Kai is like “well.... if you want... and you promise you won’t tell... I do something that might help you as well..” and Zane of course is very interested because oh god he just wants to stop feeling like this, so they sneak out and Kai is like “alright we’re going to commit arson now” and Zane is like “wait what” but it’s much too late and Zane decides to go with it and they set an abandoned warehouse on fire! Boom! And even though fire isn’t his element it feels.... good to destroy something. It feels good to watch it burn and know that THEY did it. They had the power to do that and god it felt good. Kai’s been doing stuff like this for a long time. Every once in a while, not enough to draw suspicion, just whenever the thoughts and urges to destroy, make others hurt, etc, became too much to handle and he had to let it out somehow.
Basically now, as a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, coping mechanism, they sneak out together and commit arson, slowly but surely working their way up to more dangerous and intense situations, bigger and more destructive n such. Before they burn it down, they’ll go in and use their powers to absolutely NERF the joint. Absolutely nothing left behind. And because zanes ice melts cuz of the fire and there’s a lot of water a result, and that makes all the evidence nearly nonexistent and rlly weird... plus Zane uses his robot skills to delete any security footage that may have ever existed so they are really untraceable. Anyhoo after a while of this they just keep egging eachother on. It takes a while, a lot of.. transformative experiences on their outings but eventually they come to realize that. They don’t think their good people anymore. And they don’t care about that, they even prefer it at this point. So they start to devise a plan on how to show literally everyone that THEY are the most powerful and that’s what their abt now.. maybe steal some ancient artifacts.. use their place on the ninja team to get access to extremely powerful relics, etc.. (I’m still working out the details on all of this lajfkslskajsk)
BUT eventually their true colors come out and they betray the ninja and it’s VERY angsty. Like unheard of levels of hurt but they do not care they r evil and in love and absolutely LOVING being able to let loose and destroy everything in their path.... idk I have SO many details to work out but that’s the basic premise!!! I hope it’s satisfactory!! I rlly love this concept and I kinda wanna... develop it a bit? Idk please let me know any feedback you have!! I’d love to hear it!!! Evil oppositeshipping RIGHTS if u know what I mean...
Anyhoo thank u so much for the ask!!!!! Very much appreciated!!! Pls let me know what u think!!!! :D

RWBY Volume 7 Chapter 12 Recap
After hearing Ruby’s warning of Ironwood’s plan of martial law, Robyn wouldn’t let that come to fruition, Clover tries to explain to both of them that he is ensured that Ironwood knows the risks of his plan, but before he could explain any further, there was an alert that the heroes were wanted and were to be detained on sight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Knowing this, Clover was prepared to arrest Qrow on the spot, in which Qrow himself was confused about, But Robyn wouldn’t let that happen as she points her weapon at Clover, saying that they have underestimated her again if they thought that she wouldn’t stop Ironwood’s inhumane plan, while a arrested Tyrian was egging the situation on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Robyn took the first shot and fired at Clover, he blocked it with his fishing rod weapon, Qrow stepped in the encounter and tried to stop Clover and Robyn from going any further in which Clover said to Qrow that he didn’t want this to, and Qrow replied by saying it didn’t have to, but Robyn was determined to take Clover down. Clover attempted to grab Robyn’s weapon with his hook, but Robyn deflected the hook, and it ended up breaking the metal tube that held, breaking him free. While still handcuffed, he took control of the airship, before he crashed it, Clover escaped in time and Tyrian said that it was all the will of his goddess, Salem.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Penny wondered why Ironwood would leave Mantle to perish, Winter replied to that by saying that he is saving Remnant, and the relics or the maiden can’t fall into Salem’s hands. Penny tells Winter that the people of Mantle won’t survive if Ironwood’s plan come to fruition and asked if that didn’t bother her, Winter replied by saying her personal feelings don’t matter and that orders come first, Penny then said that personal feelings should matter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Winter lets go of her tough exterior and says to Penny that Ironwood is making the tough decisions so they won’t have to for the good of all, not just a few, Penny says that she doesn’t see the good in this whole situation, in which Winter agreed to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in Ironwood’s office, Team RWBY and four of the Ace-Ops were about to face off, Vine said to Team RWBY to not make the situation difficult, but Blake said to him to not make them leave by force. Marrow asked if they were really going to fight them, Harriet then said to Marrow that the heroes have to decide what next.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You really think you can stop us? We’re the best huntsman in Atlas” - Harriet Bree “You were....until you trained us!” - Ruby Rose
Tumblr media
Ruby escaped the room using her speed to escape the office to lure Harriet into chase and the fight was on against Team RWBY and the Ace-Ops. Ruby tries to explain to Harriet that they’re playing right into Salem’s hand, but Harriet didn’t want to hear a word from her and that she pegged the heroes from the start.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elm and Vine fought with Blake and Yang, during the fight, Vine grabbed Blake with his semblance arm and threw him to Elm, grabbing her and trapping her with her hammer, Vine tries to reason with them and says that if they come peacefully, no further harm will come to them, Elm told Vine to speak for himself and says they betrayed them, Blake said to Elm that her and the Ace-Ops are betraying the people they swore to protect, Yang told Blake to not bother changing their minds, they had orders after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Weiss fought against Marrow, who was still wanting not to fight by saying to Weiss that regardless of her being a Schnee and getting what she wants, it was time to let this one go, but Weiss replied, along with summoning her knight, by saying Atlas was her home and wasn’t going to go down with a fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the crashed ruins of the ship, everyone survived, including an unconscious Robyn, before facing off, Clover telling to Qrow to surrender so they can get Roybn back to Atlas to get her healed up, but Qrow refused to as pulled his scythe out, ready to fight, Clover says that he enjoyed working with Qrow, and they don’t have to fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You don’t know my friends, that’s how it always goes” - Qrow Branwen
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While they were fighting, Tyrian, breaking his finger in the process, managed to break free of the cuffs and join in the fight. When he did, Qrow said to Tyrian that they were going to settle the score, Tyrian then said that they would have to get Clover out of the way for that to happen, then this one on one fight became a Triple Threat and a 2 on 1 fight at the same time between Qrow, Clover and Tyrian.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ruby lured Harriet back to the office where Weiss and Marrow were still fighting, Harriet told Marrow to stop holding back, Marrow replied by saying that he is trying to arrest her and not kill her, telling Marrow that she is being excessive, Harriet says that it isn’t excessive if it’s necessary, Ruby then escaped the office again to lure Harriet out again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blake and Yang were managing to hold there own against Vine and Elm, but during the fight, Elm swung her hammer at Blake, hitting her and sending her up in the air, Vine caught her in mid-air and slammed her against the upper wall, causing her her semblance in the process, Elm tells Vine to not go soft and that it was time to end the fight, Vine said the same to Elm to not go soft herself, basically saying to not hold back anymore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vine threw a piece of the wall debris at Yang, but she caught, placing detonation beads on them, she threw it up in the air and Blake kicked it towards Vine, he destroyed the debris and reach and grabbed Blake, but what he actually grabbed was an illusion, along with the detonation beads that were attached to it, they blew up, causing Vine to do up in the air, Yang flew up to where he was, cuffed him in mid-air and slammed him down to the ground, defeating him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Weiss summoned ice sickles onto the walls and pushed Marrow towards them without skewering him, she used the knight to strike him, but Marrow used the sickles as platforms to use his time manipulation semblance on Weiss, as well as the knight afterwards, however, Weiss broke free of it as she shot fire projectiles at Marrow, defeating him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The destroyed ground under them gave Yang the chance to keep Elm from locking her feet down using her semblance by punching it, causing a shock wave, sending Elm up in the air, giving both Yang and Blake the chance to strike Elm down from both directions, defeating her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ruby managed to cuff Harriet using her speed to evade Harriet’s strikes, but Harriet still could fight even while being handcuffed, Harriet attempted to strike Ruby with another high speed strike, but was blocked and hit by Weiss’ ice wall, Harriet’s resiliency wanted to stay with her, but the impact of that wall, knocked her out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Team RWBY defeated, Ruby said that they need to stop Ironwood from getting to the relic to move Atlas, Weiss then says that they have to get to Winter Maiden first, Yang says that her and Blake will find Team JNR and Oscar, before Ruby says that their scrolls don’t work, Maria and Pietro arrive on the scene. “This is the part where they ask us to help” - Maria Calavera
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back to Team JNR, they were wondering where Oscar was, Nora went to look for him, then he sees him at the end of the hallway, Nora ran to hug him, but then the real Oscar Pine arrived and punched the fake Oscar who was revealed as Neo, Oscar got the relic back in the process, while Neo was ready to fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arriving to the hideout, Winter and Penny were prepared to start the Maiden Transfer, Winter says that her personal feelings won’t change her actions, saying that the power of the winter maiden must be kept away from their enemies, even if Fria dies, but she also says that they must acknowledge and wrestle with their personal feelings, it ensures that they are on the right path, that it makes them human, Penny says that she understands.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suddenly, a loud thud is heard from the outside, and in the dark hallways, Winter had seen Cinder at the end of it, Winter ran back and shut the door, but Cinder blew a hole through the wall encountering both Winter and Penny, Penny recognized her, saying she was responsible for Beacon and what happened to her back then, Cinder replies by saying it was unfortunately temporary.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Now step aside, or there won’t be anything to salvage this time, what do you think of that?” - Cinder Fall “I think....it gives me personal feelings!” - Penny Polendina
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clover tries to hold his own against both Qrow and Tyrian, but the two on one ordeal was too much for even he could handle, Clover tied up and retrained Tyrian for the moment, but the moment he did, Qrow delivered a hard punch to the abdomen of Clover, costing him the last of his aura.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Qrow then asked Clover why he couldn’t have done the right thing instead of what he was told to do, Clover replied by saying sometimes the right decisions are the hardest to make, that he trusts Ironwood with his very life, just like he wanted to trust Qrow as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But while Qrow’s intention was to stop Clover...
Tumblr media
Tyrian’s intention was always to kill as he uses Qrow’s weapon to stab through the chest of Clover from behind with a devious smile on his face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Qrow enraged says to Tyrian that he will kill him for what he did, Tyrian responded by asking how he killed Clover, by saying that, Tyrian would put down Qrow’s weapon as an Atlas airship arrived above them. Qrow attempts to punch Tyrian, but it was dodged, Tyrian then says that the settled score between them will have to wait, saying that he ran away, Qrow wanted to chase after him, but went to check on a dying Clover.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clover, lying on the ground, bleeding out, said to Qrow that someone had to take the fall, Qrow then promises to Clover that Ironwood will take the fall, he will make sure of it, and as the sunsets, Clover uttered his last words... “Good Luck...” - Clover Ebi With that, Clover took his last breath, and his life came to a tragic end. Qrow was left yelling in anguish and grief over the death of his partner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
------- Goodbye, Clover. You were lucky til the very end. Only one more chapter left, let’s just pray no one else meets the same fate.

silmarillion and the magnus archives
Recently I’ve been listening to The Magnus Archives (podcast) and also getting back into my Silmarillion obsession with an Angbang fic so of course, the best thing to do is a crossover type thing. TMA spoilers from here on, but minor ones!
Within TMA, there are 14 (or dubiously 15) fear entities--that is to say, supernatural forces which are and cause fear, including claustrophobia, fear of heights, etc. There are also, within the podcast, avatars--humans who cause fear and gain powers. And, using this system, it’s possible to sort of articulate what a character inflicts upon others or is like at their worst (which fear they would be an avatar for) as well as what they fear the most (which fear they would be eaten by).
This post is going to focus on Mairon and Melkor. More under the cut.
Mairon
I think he would be an avatar for either the Hunt or the Eye.
The Hunt, on the surface level, is the fear of, well, being hunted and being prey, but there’s a lot of elements of chasing or ‘hunting’ a certain goal or end. In a lot of ways, Mairon fits that description because he’s constantly trying to accomplish things, whether it be more power or like, domination over Middle Earth. Also, wolves are often associated with the Hunt, and so is Mairon.
The Eye is awful knowledge and secrets revealed, constantly being watched, as well as a drive to know things. In the movies, he’s literally portrayed as a giant eye, so that’s one point towards this interpretation. Fandom interpretation often has him constantly seeking new knowledge, whether it be dissecting elves or smithing, so that would fit as well.
As for which fear he would be eaten by, this sort of ties into my fic, but it’s also supported by canon and I think it would be the Buried. It’s, on a literal level, claustrophobia, the fear of being trapped and small spaces, but on a metaphorical level also powerlessness. In canon, this is seen when Numenor is sunk and also, presumably, when Barad-dur collapses--both instances where he’s unable to act and powerless.
Melkor
Slightly more difficult to think of which fear he’d be an avatar for, and this doesn’t seem exactly fitting, but I’d have to say the Desolation. It’s deliberate destruction and the loss of everything you love. Often associated with the worst parts of fire with none of the good, it’s very destruction focused--which Melkor, in canon, tends to be. He destroys a lot of things (eg. the lamps, the trees) and causes a lot of pain (eg. the suffering of all the elves, Hurin and his family), and Melkor is also often associated with fire (though, I suppose, there’s also ice but let’s not mention that).
Which fear would he be eaten by? Definitely the Web. The Web is a bit of a double fear, with both spiders as well as the fear of being controlled, your will not being your own. That definitely sounds like him. Melkor is a canon arachnophobe (see: the part where a giant spider literally tried to eat him). He also doesn’t seem to do well with Eru’s words during the music (ie that everything has a source in Eru so that free will is....dubious, to say the least). From that I think we can infer that he has some...issues, shall we say, with free will and being controlled.
What do you think? Any other possibilities, or thoughts for other characters?
And, shameless self promo: you can find my angbang fic here: admirable

The Elemental Sides: Chapter 8
Urban fantasy AU: The Sides are four spirits trapped in an amulet. When Thomas finds it and puts it on, he gains the powers of the four elements…or that’s what should have happened, but mistakes were made. Now the Sides have to coach him in their respective elements while Thomas deals with both his new powers and his ability to see into the magical realm. Not only is magic real, but there’s some pretty intimidating stuff out there, and only Thomas and the Sides have the power to stop it.
A/N: It is here! Chapter 8, my favorite number! It’s been about a year since the creation of this blog + the very first chapter of TES. Thanks so much for sticking with me. May this story be finished by 2020!

*** Thomas and Roman, spirits, faced off in the middle of his living room.
“No hitting,” warned Patton. He paused. “Okay, that’s the only rule. Go wild, kids!”
They moved at the same time. Thomas’ hand burst into flame, but it was literally sucked out of his grasp by Roman and thrown back into his face. Since it was translucent, the fire passed through him harmlessly and splashed against the far wall.
“Point to Roman,” Logan said to the book in his hands. He marked a tally on Roman’s side of the chalkboard, but it ended up sideways because he wasn’t looking at what he was doing.
“Three weeks and I haven’t gotten a single point,” groaned Thomas. “Against any of you!”
“It’s about more than just who can fire the first shot, cowboy,” said Roman. “It’s about willpower! You have to really control your powers, not just summon them.”
“Okay.” Thomas swept his hair out of his face, vaguely wondering how Virgil could stand having bangs in his eyes all the time. “Can I try again?”
“More like you can try, again. Patton, count us off!”
“Three-two-one-fight!”
This time, Thomas was a little more prepared. He waited for Roman to pitch the first fireball before catching it from midair and chucking it back. The fire flew back and forth between them before Roman caught it and extinguished the flame.
“That’s cheating!” Thomas protested.
“I think not! I was just getting bored.”
“Boo, lame.”
“I agree, point to Thomas,” said Logan, marking the board.
Thomas fist-pumped while Roman protested. “I was just playing around. Look! More fire! I can keep going.”
“Actually, you should be done for the day,” Virgil interrupted. “I don’t want Thomas to run out of energy. He promised he’d practice water today, too.”
“Aw, but we’re on a roll!”
“No, he’s right,” Thomas agreed. “I’m kind of falling behind with water.”
“No such problems with earth, because I am the best teacher,” Logan muttered into his book.
Roman turned on him. “Are not!”
“Completely am.”
“I don’t mean to brag, but Thomas is pretty darn good with my air powers, considering he’s an Earthbender,” Patton remarked. (He’d finally caught up with Avatar and had completely bought into how they handled elemental powers in the series.) “So maybe he’s just natur-air-ly talented?”
“You’re impossible.”
In the weeks since he’d fought his first shadow monster, Thomas had had a lot of adjusting to do. While he was capable of destroying the smaller shadows when he came across them on busy streets, in buildings, and even in his own apartment, the Sides continued to coach him. They didn’t want another close call like they’d had with that big one in the grocery store.
It didn’t feel like he was making much of a difference, but the Sides applauded him every time he destroyed one of the little bad-vibe blobs. They were even thrilled every time he showed that he was improving with their powers. He couldn’t see any tangible difference in the world around him, but through their encouragement Thomas did start to feel a little like he was becoming a hero.
Meanwhile, besides the Sides, life continued as usual. Thomas was working just as hard on his videos. He was hard at work on his second episode of Cartoon Therapy–which was, of course, based off Avatar.
The first time he showed up to the space they’d rented, already in his Picani garb, Joan gave him a weird look when they met him at the door. “You’re still wearing that necklace?”
Thomas looked down at the crystal. Being huge and sparkly, it was difficult not to notice and impossible to hide under a shirt. “Oh, yeah, guess I am.”
“I mean, wear whatever, dude. But I don’t get what it has to do with Picani.”
“No, you’re right, I’ll take it off.” Thomas reached for the chain. Of course he had to take the crystal off sometimes, for showering and stuff, but the Sides always hated it when they were forced back in the crystal for a while. When he wasn’t in direct contact with it, they couldn’t keep up their mind palace and all the other cool amenities they’d built inside. They had to go back to the dreamless state that Logan explained they’d existed in for the last fifteen years.
He waited a beat just to make sure he had their permission. Roman, acting emissary, appeared. He simultaneously gave Thomas a thumbs down, shrugged, and stuck his tongue out: we don’t like it, but you do what you need. Thomas tugged the crystal off and felt a little lonely when their presences disappeared from the back of his head. After that, the filming session went fine.
Between managing his YouTube career, finding time for his friends, and practicing his steadily improving magic powers on unsuspecting shadow blobs, Thomas was busier than ever. So it surprised him when Patton started egging him to take a vacation.
“Now? Really?”
“Sure, kiddo! Don’t you deserve a mental health day?”
“I’m fine,” Thomas said with a frown. “I mean, I’m holding up okay…”
“He’s right, actually,” Logan said, popping into view in Thomas’ chair (Thomas and Patton were currently in the kitchen trying to cook up some Indian food, and it was going poorly). “We’ve been discussing this. While I agree it’s important to keep your mental state functioning properly, the purpose of this vacation would also be to allow your to exercise your powers in ways you might be less familiar wi–Patton, watch out!”
“Oops!” Patton had thrown a handful of curry leaves into a pan on the stove, which was filled with oil sizzling at max heat. It immediately burst into flames.
On instinct, Patton dodged in front of Thomas and shot a blast of air at the smoking pan. It did nothing but spatter oil droplets all over the table and Logan, who was unamused. Thomas put out the fire by scooping it up in his hands and extinguishing it.
“...Oops.”
“Patton, honestly. How did you ever feed yourself?”
“I get the feeling it involved a lot of ice cream for dinner!”
“Whew.” Thomas exhaled. Fire was actually a lot less scary when you could just kind of...erase it.
“As I was saying,” Logan said in a clipped voice, “by ‘vacation,’ we’re not telling you to hang around at home in your pajamas for three days. No, what we’re suggesting is that you go learn some history....about the origin of your powers.”
“Wow! I could do that?”
“Well, of course. Where do you think we got the crystal?”
“I have no idea! Where?”
Logan paused. “...We don’t know either. Our time in the crystal left our memories, ah, spotty. Some vital details such as this have been lost. However, Virgil, who tends to remember these things best, has an inkling of where exactly he obtained it.”
“That’s right,” Virgil said, appearing–and sitting on the table, but luckily his butt was a ghost at the moment anyway. He glared at Patton. “And jeez, Pat, were you trying to give me a heart attack?”
“Oi’l be more careful next time!”
“Pretending I didn’t hear that. Thomas, here’s what I remember. When we, uh. When we decided to test the whole crystal thing, we knew we needed a good one, obviously. We got our powers and then we started searching around for something, some kind of gem, that matched the parameters Logan laid out.”
“Robust. Undamaged. Prismatic. Sensitive to magic—by that, we mean whether it reacted when placed in certain stress simulations involving the shadows.”
“Uh, yeah. So I found a good one in this one super goth back-alley jewelry store–”
Thomas gasped. “Borgin and Burkes?!”
“No? I don’t know what that is? Look, anyway, I found a good one,  s–uhh, I stole it–”
“WHAT”
“–and brought it back to everyone else.”
“You STOLE it?” Patton cried. “But that’s totally against why we wanted it in the first place! Fighting evil! Remember?”
“I know. But the alternative worried me more.”
“Well, I’m not really happy about that, sport, but it’s too late to do anything about it now. Maybe they won the lottery in the last fifteen years and got their money back…?”
“Virgil, do you recall the name and location of this place?” Logan asked.
“Can’t say I do. Well–I think it was near Florida. I remember driving for a while during the night. There was a lot of fog….I could sort of tune into it with my powers, so I could sense the surrounding area. Something was near me, like a big, dark cold spot. It might’ve been a shadow, but bigger than one I’ve ever seen.” He shuddered. “I had to get away from it, so I turned off the highway, drove for a while, stopped at a gas station, and...there it was.”
“Well, that’s vague,” Thomas mused.
“Do you think that we’d be able to recreate your path if Thomas were to search for it?”
“Uh….maybe? It’s possible?”
“That’s sufficient enough for me,” Logan declared. “All right, Thomas, the parameters of your vacation are this. You are to find the location and source of this crystal and interrogate the owners of the establishment for information.”
“Information like….”
“Well, whether there’s a way to expedite your learning process. Whether we can get out of this crystal. Perhaps we can find a way for all four of us to assume solid form without damaging you.”
“And this involves a lot of driving…” Thomas said to himself. “So, if this is really important to you guys, it sounds like we’re going on a–”
“ROAD TRIP!” Patton hollered, throwing up his arms and upturning the pan on the stove, which had been steadily burning their dinner to a crisp the entire time. Oil, curry, chicken, and the whole mess slopped onto the stove and promptly exploded in a shower of hot oil.
“...road trip.”
“PATTON!”

American presidents lie. They always have. Just Google “Lyndon Johnson and the Gulf of Tonkin,” “Bill Clinton and NAFTA” or “George Bush and weapons of mass destruction.” Even Honest Abe likely told a fib or two.
But no U.S. president has ever lied as prolifically, constantly, insidiously and dangerously as Donald Trump. He never stops. He’s the Energizer Bunny of endless falsehood.
It’s enough to make even Orwell’s head explode.
Trump, who received votes from just one in four U.S. adults in 2016, claimed that he would have won the popular vote over Hillary Clinton were it not for the voter fraud of undocumented immigrants. The alleged criminal votes were never cast.
Trump called his 2016 Electoral College victory “The biggest electoral victory since Ronald Reagan.” It was no such thing.
Trump lied about the size of his inauguration crowd even as aerial photographs of the event contradicted his boasts.
He has repeatedly and preposterously claimed that the Latinx immigrant population is full of murderers, rapists and gang members. It is not.
Trump claimed that President Obama “had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower” just before his 2016 election victory. They were not.
He claimed to have as president-elect negotiated a deal to “save 1,100 jobs” at a Carrier plant in Anderson, Ind. He did no such thing.
He absurdly concocted a terrorist attack that never occurred, in Sweden, during his first month in office.
He claimed that the head of the Boy Scouts called him to say his speech was the best ever delivered to the Boy Scouts Jamboree. No such call ever took place. Trump’s terrible oration was widely reviled.
Trump claimed to have fired James Comey because the FBI director mishandled Hillary Clinton’s email scandal prior to the 2016 election, not because he was continuing to investigate Trump and the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. That was another baldfaced lie.
He claimed that white-nationalist and neo-Nazi marchers in Charlottesville, Va., were “protesting very quietly,” and that liberal and left counter-protesters “didn’t have a [protest] permit.” False and false.
Trump laughably told oil workers in North Dakota that environmentalists “didn’t know why” they opposed the ecocidal, petro-capitalist Dakota Access and Keystone-XL pipelines. Ridiculous.
Trump lied repeatedly and viciously about the number of people who diedduring and after Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
He ludicrously claimed to have led a strong federal response to the devastating storm in Puerto Rico. (He gave himself a “ten.”)
Trump absurdly claimed that his former national security adviser Michael Flynn didn’t do “anything wrong.” Flynn was later convicted for lying about his communications with the Kremlin during Trump’s presidential transition.
Trump farcically claimed that Paul Manafort never played a major role in his 2016 campaign. (Manafort chaired the Trump campaign up through the Republican National Convention that year.)
Trump falsely claimed that a Justice Department inspector general report exonerated him of collusion with Russia and obstruction of justice. The report did neither of those things.
Trump ridiculously claimed that Michael Cohen was never a big player in his career or campaign. Cohen was Trump’s longstanding personal attorney and “fixer,” and he too has been convicted on federal charges.
Trump has claimed to know nothing about the illegal campaign finance payoff of Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. Cohen exposed that lie this summer.
After Cohen turned himself in to federal authorities, Trump said that Cohen pleaded guilty to two counts of campaign finance violations that “were not crimes.” False. The violations are indeed federal crimes.
Trump unbelievably claimed not to have known that his son and son-in-law met with Russians claiming to have dirt on Hillary Clinton in Trump Tower in June 2016.
Trump helped concoct the White House lie that the real subject matter of that June 2016 meeting was U.S. adoption policy.
He says that China “has been attempting to interfere in the upcoming 2018 elections.” There is no evidence to support that charge.
He falsely claims to be a self-made billionaire, something that The New York Times shows to have been a lie. (His father staked his entire business.)
Trump says that he and the Republican Party passed a “middle-class” tax “reform.” He certainly knows that they enacted a plutocratic tax cut, a great windfall for big corporations and the richest 1 percent.
Trump absurdly claimed before the tax cut that “we [U.S.-Americans] pay more taxes than anybody in the world” (we don’t) and that the tax “reform” would “cost me a fortune.”
He absurdly said that “public lands will once again be available for public use” while handing over 2 million acres to private corporations for coal mining, oil drilling, uranium extraction and other environmentally disastrous industrial activities.
He falsely claimed that he was legally compelled to order a “zero tolerance” border policy last spring that separated Mexican and Central American children from their parents.
In defense of his good friends atop the absolutist, head-chopping Saudi Arabian regime (which sends kill teams to torture, kill, and vivisect dissenting journalists in foreign embassies), Trump claims that Saudis have purchased $110 billion worth of military equipment from the U.S. and that this purchase creates “five-hundred thousand jobs,” later inflated to ““1 million jobs.” ”in the U.S.  His numbers here are absurdly exaggerated.
He claims without evidence that there are “people of Middle Eastern descent” in the latest Central American migrant “caravan” moving through Mexico towards the U.S.’ southern border.
He baselessly insisted that “Democrats are paying members of the caravan to try and get into the U.S. to harm Republicans in the midterms.”
He has sent U.S. troops to guard the border on the absurd lie that the beleaguered caravan constitutes a “national emergency.”
He preposterously claims that it is the mainstream media, which he calls “the enemy of the people,” and not him that has created our current climate of hatred and violence—even as he applauds a Montana congressman for body-slamming a young reporter.
Trump’s evasion of responsibility follows a hate-filled campaign and 21 months of ax-grinding in the Oval Office that has seen him call immigrants criminal gang members, murderers and rapists, while maliciously describing his political enemies and media critics and journalists as “evil,” “low lifes,” “low IQ” and “the most dishonest people on Earth.” Along the way, the openly sexist Trump has referred to women as “animals,” “dogs,” “horse-face,” “fat” and worse. The white supremacist who killed 11 people in a Jewish synagogue last Saturday was egged into violent action by Trump’s ridiculous and hateful caravan rhetoric.
The Trump Lie Machine is going into head-spinning and soul-numbing overdrive as the midterm elections draw closer.
Trump claimed earlier this year that leftist violence will break out across the country if Democrats reclaim Congress in the upcoming midterm elections. The absurdity speaks for itself.
Trump said in Arizona recently that immigrants had illegally taken over a city council in California. The claim was complete nonsense.
Trump has recently and insanely suggested that people are “rioting” in California “to get out of Sanctuary Cities. …They’re demanding to be released from sanctuary cities.” (This may be the single craziest thing I’ve ever seen Trump claim. It is truly bizarre.)
Trump is ridiculously claiming the Democrats will kick seniors off health insurance, abolish insurance protections for people with health problems, destroy Social Security, abolish U.S. borders and (I am not making this up) give “illegal” immigrants “free cars.” That’s right: “free cars” for “illegals.”
Trump repeatedly—36 times across seven political speeches this fall—called the Democrats “radicals.” Of course, the Democrats are a deeply conservative, Big Business-friendly, imperial/pro-military, and depressingly centrist apparatus. There isn’t a single genuine radical in their entire party.
Trump says that the “new platform of the supposedly ‘radical’ Democrats is to abolish ICE” (Immigrations and Customs Enforcement). That is flatly false.
Trump lies and distorts so relentlessly and profusely that tracking and fact-checking his false statements has become a full-time job for journalists at home and abroad.
One of these journalists is Daniel Dale, the Washington bureau chief of the Toronto Star. He calculates that Lyin’ Don has made four false claims per day since being sworn into the presidency 21 months ago with his hand on the Bible.
When Dale was first assigned the Trump beat in September 2016, he found the Republican candidate “so incessantly dishonest” that his habit of twisting and inverting reality required a specific focus “separate from the day-to-day news coverage I was doing.” Dale looked forward to being “freed from this [ugly] task” of covering Trump’s persistent untruths once Hillary Clinton prevailed, as was widely expected. Trump won “and so, [he] had to continue.”
What accounts for this endless mendacity and rhetorical manipulation? Speaking to “Public” Broadcasting System “NewsHour” anchor and Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member Judy Woodruff last week, Dale theorized that Trump and the Republican allies and outlets who repeat his outlandish and bogus assertions want to drive media coverage and political discourse away from topics they wish to avoid—health care, the Mueller investigation and “anything else the president doesn’t want us to talk about,” such as Trump’s still unreleased tax returns, climate change and the party’s regressive tax cuts.
Dale is on to something there, no doubt, but the real meaning of the president’s Twitter-amplified Fibby Pulpit is deeper and darker than mere diversion and partisan spin. As Chris Hedges suggests in his latest book, “America: The Farewell Tour,” Trump and his party’s continuing defiance of reality suggests that the United States is sliding into “corporate totalitarianism”:
Trump and the Republican Party represent the last stage in the emergence of corporate totalitarianism. Pillage and oppression are intensified by the permanent lie. The permanent lie is different from the falsehoods and half-truths uttered by politicians like Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. The common political lie these politicians employed was not designed to cancel out reality. It was a form of manipulation. … But Clinton did not pretend that NAFTA was beneficial to the working class when reality proved otherwise. Bush did not pretend that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction once none were found.
The permanent lie is not circumscribed by reality. It is perpetuated even in the face of overwhelming evidence that discredits it. It is irrational. Those who speak in the language of truth and fact are attacked as liars, traitors and purveyors of ‘fake news.’ They are banished from the public sphere once totalitarian elites accrue sufficient power, a power now granted them with the revoking of net neutrality. … “The result of a consistent and total substitution of lies for factual truth is not that the lie will now be accepted as truth and truth be defamed as a lie, but that the sense by which we take our bearings in the real world – and the category of truth versus falsehood is among the mental means to this end – is being destroyed,” Hanna Arendt wrote in The Origins of Totalitarianism. …
The permanent lie turns political discourse into absurdist theater. … Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin claims he has a report that proves the tax cuts will pay for themselves and will not increase the deficit – only there never was a report. … The permanent lie is the apotheosis of totalitarianism. It no longer matters what is true. … When reality is replaced by the whims of opinion and expediency, what is true one day becomes false the next. Consistency is discarded. Complexity, nuance, and depth and profundity are replaced with the simpleton’s faith in threats and force.
Consistency is discarded. The Trump administration has cited “states’ rights” in trying to roll back federal requirements that out-of-date coal and nuclear plants be shut down, even as it endeavors to federally negate the state of California’s right to enforce comparatively stringent emission regulations.
Republican Congressional candidates run campaign commercials proclaiming their commitment to retaining the Affordable Care Act’s provision prohibiting health insurance companies from discriminating against people with pre-existing conditions at the same time that the GOP is viciously challengingthat provision in court.
Trump blames the nation’s bourgeois media and a timid, centrist Democratic Party for the hatred, incivility and demonization that pollute U.S. politics while he calls his opponents “evil” and celebrates violence against liberals and journalists.
It is important to understand, as Hedges does, that the Trump-led assault on veracity, evidence and our very ability to separate truth from falsehood has been able to gain traction only because a decades-long corporate coup has devastated and discredited public education, academia, organized labor and the legal and criminal justice systems. It has done all this and more while turning the Democratic Party into what the late Princeton political scientist Sheldon Wolin called the nation’s Inauthentic Opposition.
Think of this distinctively American “corporate-managed democracy” and “inverted totalitarianism” as the nation’s pre-existing authoritarian condition for the rise of an Amerikaner-style fascism.
In the face of what an authoritarian like Trump and his white-nationalist Republican Party have done over the last two years of one-party rule—an annulment of what’s left of the U.S. Constitution’s much-ballyhooed “checks and balances”—there’s no credible moral argument against the notion that progressives living in contested districts should choose the lesser of two evils in next week’s midterm elections. Adolph Reed Jr., Noam Chomsky and Arun Gupta’s warnings about the dangers of a Trump presidency have been richly born out. I, for one, should have paid them more heed.
Still, we on the left, what’s left of it, should nonetheless retain our capacity to be properly nauseated by a yard sign I recently saw in arch-liberal, super-blue Iowa City, Iowa. Surrounded by other, smaller signs with the names of a handful of dismal local and statewide Democratic candidates, it read “MAKE AMERICA GOOD AGAIN: Vote.”
Please. The notion that the richly bipartisan corporate totalitarianism of which Trump is the apotheosis can be reversed, and the nation made “good” simply by voting Herr Donald and the Republicans out of office is a childish fantasy.
That, too, is a Great Lie. As marchers celebrating a rare legal victory over a white supremacist U.S. police state in Democratically controlled Chicago chanted last month, “The whole damn system is guilty as Hell.” It’s the whole damn system that must be democratized from the bottom up. From the dismal dollar Democrats, The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, “P”BS, Tom Steyer, the Gates Foundation, the Brookings Institution, the CFR, the Atlantic Council, the Obama and Clintons on the so-called left, to the radically reactionary Republicans, the Koch brothers, the Mercers, the Heritage Foundation, the American Enterprise Institute, Fox News, the Weekly Standard, the Hudson Institute, the Hoover Institution, and the American Legislative Exchange Council, Breitbart, right-wing talk radio, the Sinclair Broadcasting Co., the Federalist Society and more on the actual right, imperialism, racial inequality and class rule have brought us to this menacing pre-fascist moment.

CELESTE: THE THIRTEENTH QUEEN
it was said that on the thirteenth birthday of the thirteenth queen, the stars would align to see a prophecy fulfilled -- for the birth of the girl was the death of the galaxy.
the prophecy reads:
let mars see the moon
and as water touches fire,
let the galaxy end
by the hands of the daughter.
year 1027 of the new world -- the known galaxy. planets have fallen into the hands of war. these titans and giants of the sky have been reduced to ash and rubble at the feet of three warring species: the industrial TEC, the psychic Advent and the alien Vasari.
chaos has broken and turned stars into stardust, civilians into refugees, refugees into pirates and killers and criminals. while good still exists in mercenaries, peace-seekers and walled cities, the universe has undoubtedly been plunged into a war that has been going on for fifteen years -- a war that has only just begun.
HISTORY.
the Mallenia, TEC, Advent and Vasari were the ruling species of the universe. they oversaw the Universal Council and ensured peace across galaxies together.
however, after Celeste was crowned queen of the Mallenia and head of the council on her thirteenth birthday (following her mother, Celina's, abrupt and mysterious death), the Mallenia's corruption was soon exposed. following a failed attempt to takeover Thulniotune (the TEC's home planet), it was revealed that Celeste had bribed many corrupt TEC officials to stage a coup so that the Mallenia could have control of the TEC and their weapons. it was revealed that they would use these weapons to take control of Pandora (the Advent's home planet), then Vinci (the Vasari's home planet), then eventually the universe.
however, one brave TEC official led an underground rebellion not soon after Thulniotune was captured. the TEC have always been known to be a violent species inclined to war, so their reaction was nothing short of expected. this rebellion launched an aggressive counter attack -- effectively destroying Megnilia (the Mallenia's home planet).
this broke the treaties that were in place at the time, and effectively started the war of the empires.
the queen Celeste was forced into hiding, and the few surviving Mallenia scattered across the galaxy -- sought by bounty hunters and revengers who had been waiting to see the empire fall.
Thulniotune was reclaimed by the TEC (the Mallenia stationed on the planet massacred ruthlessly.) the Vasari sided with the Mallenia, launching an attack on Thulniotune. while the Advent (predictors of the prophecy, who had seen it fulfilled) remained neutral and worked on protecting their planet, the TEC soon attacked them, as well.
and so, the war was born. and so the hatred between the TEC, the Vasari and the Advent grew and grew and grew -- until what little understanding existed between the species disappeared. diplomacy abandoned, and the origins of war now just an excuse for an arms race.
INFORMATION.
MALLENIA
the Mallenia are an incredibly intelligent and beautiful species. they are  humanoid, with two legs, two arms and a body and face structure very similar to earth's humans. their industry is concentrated on science and medicine, which is why natural births are no longer common among them. they have their own language, known as Melig. names typically have profound and elaborate explanations and meanings, and are usually shortened into nicknames such as: appetence (appie), quatervois (vois), magoa (mags), novaturient (nova), etc.
physical appearance and other attributes. an average mallenia stands at seven feet. those who have seen them describe their looks as fairy- or even god-like. their skin, similar to the shade and variety of earth-humans' skin, even appears to sparkle in the light. because most mallenia offspring are created in laboratories and spliced with healthier genes, they are highly resistant to illness and even heal relatively quick. they are typically beautiful, well-spoken and charming -- difficult to miss in a crowd (a quality that is no longer helpful now that the very few existing Mallenia are being hunted across the galaxy.)
Mellegnia. they originate from the planet Mellegnia, which was about 23 times bigger than earth, with a gravity that was about 8 times that of earth. a single day on Mellegnia lasted 20 hours, and a year lasted 330 days. the planet was made up of 2 continents, which made up 62% of the planet's landmass. 3 moons orbited the planet and Mellegnia itself orbited a yellow sun in an elliptic orbit.
Mellegnia was destroyed by the TEC. only a handful of Mallenia exist today and, because they are in hiding, they are incredibly difficult to find. an average mallenia, in good condition, can be sold on the black market for (in earth's terms) a couple million dollars. however, even dead mallenia can be tagged with a good price.
TEC
the TEC come from the planet Thulniotune named so for the planet's properties, is an ice giant planet in a small solar system with ten other planets. it is about 27.1 times bigger than aarth and its gravity is about 5.88 times that of earth. a single day lasts 45 hours and a year lasts 431 days. the planet is made up of 11 continents, which make up 54% of its landmass. 3 moon(s) orbit the planet and Thulniotune itself orbits a yellow sun in a fairly circular orbit.
physical appearance and other attributes. an average TEC stands at five to six feet. they are even more human-like than the mallenia, but wear very distinctive clothing and have very distinctive markings all over their bodies (that are said to resemble circuitry and wiring.) (think, al bhed from final fantasy.)
they are the most technologically advanced species, overtaking the mallenia in revenue and ability years ago. their industry is also arguably the biggest in the universe; they typically deal in weapons, energy, electricity, among others. many planets depend on the TEC for energy. the TEC are notorious for being quite an aggressive and violent people. they are typically quiet and talk in the form of short phrases, only saying what is necessary. they have their own language known as technician.
all efforts of the TEC today are going into the war. service in the military has become mandatory for all TEC citizens of legal age. names are typically three-five letters long and include many l’s, r’s and b’s (eg. ric, tel, lina, nara.)
ADVENT
the Advent come from the planet Pandora, named so by its discoverer. it is a diamond planet in a densely populated solar system with twenty-one other planets. Pandora is about 21.4 times bigger than earth and its gravity is about 10.92 times that of earth. a single day lasts 44.71 hours and a year lasts 165 days. the planet is made up of 15 continents, which make up 58% of the planet's landmass. 1 moon orbits the planet and Pandora itself orbits a yellow sun in a slightly elliptic orbit.
pandora offers a unique sight in the night sky of nearby planets. its colors and distance to the planets around it occasionally makes the night quite magical on those planets, especially those with an atmosphere.
physical appearance and other attributes. the advent are known to be very spiritual people, milling out prophecies and predictions daily. though the advent credit their abilities to the skies, science is yet to explain the advent's powers of compulsion and prediction -- so for now, they have decided to call the advent, psychic.
an average advent stands at six to eight feet. they are described to be humanoid but with skin and hair that are either green, blue, orange or  white in color. their eyes are wide, white and glow in the night. their garments typically consist of white hooded cloaks.
though they tried to stay neutral when the war broke out, they were attacked by the TEC and effectively joined the war. their defenses are impressive and they are well-known for their walled cities.
VASARI
the vasari come from the planet Vinci, as it's called by most of the natives. it is an earth-like planet in a huge solar system filled with fourteen other planets. Vinci is about 12.9 times bigger than earth and its gravity is about 7.67 times that of earth. a single day lasts 39.66 hours and a year lasts 142 days. The planet is made up of 12 continents, which make up 39% of its landmass. 1 moon orbits the planet and Vinci itself orbits a blue sun in a circular orbit.
the vasari's planet is central to their evolution and current-day appearance and abilities. vinci is one of the most complex collection of ecosystems in the known galaxy, which has made scholar-tourism one of the main sources of income of its people.
more about vinci. the plant-like organisms on vinci are almost all huge, towering trees, high above a layer of various shrubs, grasses and flowers. the trees can and often will completely block out light, which sometimes leads to a fairly empty ground layer, full of dead leaves. the aquatic organisms aren't very large in numbers, but they are huge in size. They can grow to sizes of nearly 100 meters (328ft) and a diameter of up to 5 meters (16ft). these underwater giants give this aquatic world an eerie atmosphere as you never know what could lurk behind that pillar. but at the same time, they provide homes to thousands of species on all depths, which makes studying even 1 giant coral an absolute delight.
vinci has an abundance of life in all shapes and sizes. birds, reptiles, insects, fish, mammals, you name it. there are even a few dozen sentient species, most of them either reptilian or amphibian. however, the most remarkable species is only barely sentient. but it's not their sentience that makes them interesting. these large mammals have bark-like skin, comparable to the skin of an elephant but with the texture of a dragon's scale. these mammals are slow and docile, which they can afford to be with such armor, but their gentle nature causes moss, plants and other small organisms to grow on their skin. some individuals look more like walking trees than a member of their own species and it has lead to unique micro-ecosystems.
however, vinci's supply of natural resources is also one of the most inconsistent. in the early days, there existed two species on vinci -- one more violent than the other. they warred for nutrients and resources for hundreds of years. the vasari today is the species that emerged victorious.
physical appearance and other attributes. the vasari appear very alien -- with an exoskeleton for skin that is harder than metal. their eyes are typically yellow or black. they stand at an average of ten feet, and have sharp teeth. their clothing typically consists of armor made from the plants and animals from their home planet.
besides scholar tourism, importing and exporting materials made from the plants and animals on vinci is another main source of income for the vasari.
INSTRUCTIONS.
you can play as any of the species mentioned above -- however, there are millions of species of sentient beings across the universe. you are free to play any one that you can think of. (yes, humans still exist --- but only a small portion of the earth remains inhabitable; humans have scattered across the galaxy.)
ooc, this au will be open from jan. 19 - feb. 21. unless extensions are announced, you are free to continue threads but are no longer allowed to start new ones after feb. 21.
tag any posts relating to this universe: “#space!au”.
if you will be using a non-default fc, reply to this post with your chosen fc and their occupation (for example: kim junmyeon/suho, exo). note! if you plan on playing a mallenia, reply to this post with ‘mallenia’ --- since only 5 can be played. + celeste is an npc, and no one knows where she is at the current time.

graveyard archives: A Dictionary Of Known Valdises
(Aka the only ones I've thought up so far)
So! This is on mobile because I have the patience of a three year old on espresso, but a few people have asked about Fankids/Valdis AU's. To facilitate the process and let these boys have happy families for once, I'm making a list of known Valdises, their powers, yards, and anything special about them. You'll note that elements/powers/specialities can repeat or show up across different family branches, or just show up randomly. They can often be hereditary, but not always. Often, in the case of siblings, the powers are closely linked (like the case of the Salem twins or the Death Valley brothers), but not always (eg. The Parisian Catacombs kids). Anyone with (And Death) inherited power over a burial ground. Anyone with an asterisk / * by their name is dead. Gonna try to do this alphabetically. Here goes.
*ABRAHAM: Ice/Cryomancy. (And Death). DEATH VALLEY.
*?ADAM/THE UNDERTAKER: Lightning/Electromancy, Immortality, Unknown. (And Death). DEATH VALLEY. [NOTE: Undead. Classification/Taxonomy uncertain.]
ANTOINETTE: Sound/Acoustomancy. (And Death). PARISIAN CATACOMBS. [NOTE: Has banned Pierre and Luc's sides from the annual family luncheon. The gathering is now quite small.]
CORENTINE: Rock/Lithomancy. PARISIAN CATACOMBS.
ELVIRE: Water/Aquamancy/Hydromancy. PARISIAN CATACOMBS.
*?EMBLA: Clairvoyance, Astral projection. (And Death). [NOTE: Clan founder. The First Reaper. Fate unknown.]
*GRACE: Light/Photomancy. SALEM. [NOTE: Allegedly still attempts to contact her descendants from the afterlife.]
JEAN-MARC: Time/Chronomancy. PARISIAN CATACOMBS.
ISAIAH (@sacredandwild ): Fire/Pyromancy. DEATH VALLEY. [NOTE: Werewolf. Alpha lineage.]
*IZA: Ice/Cryomancy. (And Death.) DEATH VALLEY. [NOTE: Remains and initial resting place destroyed.]
KANE: Fire/Pyromancy. DEATH VALLEY.
LUC: Ice/Cryomancy. (And Death). PARISIAN CATACOMBS. [NOTE: Suspects his borders are being tampered with, but unsure. On the verge of clan war with Pierre.]
PIERRE: Luck/Fortune/Tychomancy. (Also Death.) PARISIAN CATACOMBS. [NOTE: Expands borders by one inch every year. Close to starting a clan war with Luc.]
SARA: Plague/Nosomancy. Dabbles in misfortune. PARISIAN CATACOMBS. [NOTE: Currently attempting to translate and compile the family history.]
*VANESSA: Wind/Aeromancy. DEATH VALLEY. [NOTE: Still haunts a lonely stretch of highway that is usually located between the valley and Las Vegas. Likes to see if she can hitchhike. Leaves gifts for good people, tends to strand those with cruel intentions.]
*WILLING: Darkness/Umbramancy. (And Death). SALEM. [NOTE: Moved the Salem yard, sparking great controversy. Died instead of addressing it. Allegedly still attempts to contact his descendants from the afterlife.]
