Here have Gilbert warmup. I started his route (finally), 3 chapters in and there is potential for this route to rival Clavis's spot as number 1. (don't worry, Lulu, I will still fight for you. You baby girl villain.) But we will see where this goes. Gilbert gives me INFJ villain vibes and I'm here for that.

I know my style is pretty clean when it comes to lineart, sometimes I like it, sometimes I wish I could be more messy xd But here is a funny sneak peak of the stages. I post more of these kind of things for my supporters on Ko-Fi. ^^

I love to read the tags people add, it makes my day and I really need to find a way to reply to some of them since there are interesting thoughts and questions sometimes! So maybe tagging is the way? Gilbert x Clavis could be interesting, them being super villains together :0 Clavis x Cyran is something that has crossed my mind too, but at the same time I really like them being platonically close too. Like very very deep friendship. I just love the "I think you are an idiot, but you are also the person I admire the most and would die for you and your cause" trope.

Do people really not see the inherent disconnect of the claim that Houses Claude is genuinely an amoral opportunist when his dream is to break down barriers to foster unity and peace? Like, is there not a fundamental incompatibility in having a desire for everyone to get along yet being a backstabber that throws people under the bus for their own benefit? From a personality/character standpoint, all that does is make Claude look like a ginormous ignorant hypocrite, and an idiot even though he's supposed to be smart. Because if his end goal is to create a diverse and harmonious community, how is he going to bring people together if he constantly betrays every side? And from a writing perspective, it makes no sense to have a character's actions and goals be completely contradictory and never address it.

Also for someone who is amoral, it sure is interesting in Balthus' Classroom QA Part 2 that Claude likes "ensure the fewest casualties" and dislikes "do anything to eradicate the enemy" when the question was "the war has been dragging for long so let's end it quickly". It's kinda like he has some principles or something.

Like, the idea of Claude being an untrustworthy backstabber who opportunistically takes advantage of everyone without ever growing close to them is just Hubert minus Lady Edelgard could be an interpretation of his character that aligns with at least his initial showing, or a surface level understanding of him. He calls himself the embodiment of distrust, he never fully opens up to anyone, he can in fact be fairly manipulative and callous; the crumbs are there, for sure.

But it also has to ignore how far he's willing to go to protect his people (putting himself in high danger when he is not sacrificial like, say, Dimitri is), or how he supports others having dreams for themselves (Goddess Tower), or how open he is to criticisms against what he thought (Cyril's support), or how he tries to be there for his friends (Marianne's support), or how he's open-minded enough to listen to people he initially thought needed to be his enemy (Rhea), or how violence is not just not something he considers but is something he actively rejects as a means of getting what he wants (The Alliance Leader's Ambitions, near the end), or how putting the people's lives in danger is something he is adamantly against (as you point out, Balthus' classroom question). A staggering amount of Claude's character has to be deliberately ignored in order to come to the conclusion that he's just a backstabbing opportunist who does anything to get what he wants (who magically gets fixed by Byleth's mere presence), because a backstabbing opportunist who does anything to get what he wants who magically gets fixed by Byleth's mere presence does not describe Claude.

Even if one were to take the game's writing failure of properly presenting Claude tackling racial issues (like never addressing Petra's situation despite having supports with her) you can't really deny that Claude is, in fact, a caring person after taking everything in his character into account. For all his flaws, he never abuses the trust people have in him to the extent that they are actively put in danger, nor is it ever the case that the "doesn't truly tackle racial issues" ever translate to anything so drastic as "which means he'll actively worsen relations between two countries." And, well, yes; you still do have to take into account that his dreams are of bringing people together and disregarding past bad blood. He never stops trying to achieve this dream, and he wants it to come true so badly that he is willing to let other people that he trusts rule Fodlan to work together with him to achieve it, shown in VW and even AM. That means a lot for someone like Claude, who is otherwise pretty slow to trust other people so deeply.

That's not someone who would use Leicester's bad history with Faerghus as fuel to violently invade it. That's not someone who would use Almyra's navy to make it look to Sreng like Faerghus tried to invade it. That's not someone who wants to conquer other nations and make his own come out on top. Those things describe Hopes!Claude, which 3H!Claude is not.

It's like. You know how some 3H's fans see 3H as "Edelgard, Dimitri, and the third guy that justifies my fave"? How a lot of people in 3H's fandom don't really see Claude as his own character with his own perspective and ideals and beliefs and morals that are unique to him, and only see him as a battering ram to try and knock down one of the other two lords? And so don't really care how he's characterized in other things (like fanfiction, fanart, meta, or in this case spinoff media) because they never really cared about him as his own character? But then get really, really, really defensive when you point out the flaws in their perception of him, saying that you're the one who never understood or liked Claude, because if you did you'd "realize" that he was always [insert vague, bland description that happens to prop up the lord they actually like]?

Yeah that's basically what's going on here. Most people who prefer Claude as their fave lord do not like Hopes!Claude, some of the loudest voices in the JPN Amazon reviews were of people who hated Hopes!Claude and were literally trying to warn Claude/GD fans away from Hopes as a game because of how awful their writing is, while nearly every Hopes!Claude fan that I've seen vastly prefers Edelgard as their fave lord and are - you guessed it! - very defensive when it comes to Claude fans venting their frustrations over Claude's shit-end-of-the-stick treatment he got in Hopes.

So like, yeah. It's less that people aren't directly computing that Claude's ambitions and character don't match how he's depicted in Hopes, but that they just don't care that it doesn't since 1) it justifies their fave and 2) they never really gave a shit about Claude anyway

okay the thing with henrike is that she's one of my oldest ocs, but she was always more of a side character at the start, so i barely have any art of her from more than like. three years ago maybe? she hasnt changed a ton, and i think the ways her design changed is more 'i got better at drawing her the way i actually want to' than 'i consciously changed her design'. the important thing is probably that she does not wear pants ever, only skirts and dresses. which makes her lots of fun to draw <3

For Lucky: What is their favorite food?

i dont think i can pick one specific food (i cant even pick my own fav food so idk how to do it for the ocs lol) but in general. Lucky really likes her sister's cooking. She has four older siblings, and she isnt particularly close to any of them for one reason or another, but this one of her sister is definitely the one who's like. the most approachable i guess. and she's a great cook! i think Lucky likes spicy food

Not to openly dunk on popular youtubers on main, but Subjectively making a contrarian-ass video shitting on national sensation Palworld after spending about 3 years doing nothing but Pokemon shit to the point of neglecting the rest of their content, and doing it immediately after announcing their own mon-like game, and doing it because Palworld had asked him to do a sponsor absolutely fucking reeks of sour grapes

7. What circumstances led to your tav becoming their class/subclass?

Her entire life has led up to being a rogue/thief, basically! She was a little kleptomaniac and had a knack for being a menace from a very young age. She just *had* to get her grubby little hands on everything and if something of yours caught her eye, it was no longer yours.

As a kid she spent a lot of time on her own, mostly because her caretaker(her uncle) wasn't... *around* that much. He would often leave her with enough to fulfill her basic needs and go out on hunting trips for several days. She was scared at first to be all alone, but after some time getting used to it, the boredom started settling in. Walking around the house and playing with old trinkets in her uncle's attic wasn't cutting it anymore, she needed some action in her life, and she decided to make that everyone else's problem 👍🏻 She went out into the nearby town, made some friends, made some enemies, and discovered her passion for taking things that don't belong to her, invading spaces where she's not supposed to be, and telling people the most dogshit lies to get herself out of trouble. She was a natural.

The town she lived by was West Harbor, in Merdelain, and she ended up expanding on her skillset by doing the most insane thing a child growing up in the Mere can do- she went out into the swamp. By herself. Several times. She explored nasty lizardfolk caves and Illefarnian ruins alike. How she survived is honestly a wonder, but she did, and learned to handle herself in difficult terrain and both create and disarm mechanical and magical traps, as well as learned a few magic tricks on her own. This was of course only the start of her rogueing career- she had another 40 years ahead of her to develop that skillset- but I'd say she was off to a pretty good start.

12. What opinion does your tav have about the Gods?

She would like to have a word with them. She's not mad ok she just wants to talk.

So, you know how I mentioned it's a wonder she survived in the swamp? It was mostly a little bit of skill and a whole lot of luck, but in the beginning, she had a little leg up because of the blessing of a certain goddess.

You see, most wilderness is protected by Mielikki, primarily goddess of the forest but patron of all rangers, regardless of the terrain they choose to traverse. Nawen's uncle was a favored of Mielikki and she was both confused and fascinated by his religious practices. She would watch him pray, mimick him and learn the words to the prayer like a song. She took one of the symbols of the goddess he had in his altar, tied it to a cord and wore it like an amulet, just like he did. Traversing the swamp, there were times where she felt magic emanating from it, and a sudden streak of luck whenever she prayed. She believed it was the goddess, somehow, choosing to help her. And for that she was grateful, she had a positive view of the Gods.

That didn't last long though, because as she grew up and moved into the city, delving into its criminal underground, she felt the magic slip and the presence of the goddess fade. It's been over 20 years since she hasn't felt any sort of divine intervention and hasn't been able to rely on another God since. She felt abandoned by her, loved and then cast out like an old toy, and she knows it's probably because of her life choices, but she still feels bitter about it. She believes the Gods don't truly care for anyone and are only concerned with whatever suits their whims- and sure, she can see how that sounds awfully similar to her own attitude and it would be hypocritical to judge them based on that, but she still thinks it's stupid to idolize, follow and dedicate your life to someone like that.

26. Does your tav have a treasured item with them? If yes, what is it and why is it special?

Yeah, she still carries that symbol of Mielikki around ajajdjksk for all of her cynicism towards the Gods, she still feels wrong about throwing it away and in some little part of herself deeeeep deep inside, hopes that Mielikki will look at her again and show her that she cares. She doesn't wear it as an amulet anymore though and just has it usually in a pocket or kept among her things in her camp chest.

1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?

Something that happens in act 3 that I can't tell you because spoilers :3 But also, one of her parents died when she was 7-8, so that too.

2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?

Omg lol you cannot look at Sasha and make assumptions. Literally everything about them is probably not what others on the island would expect. You wouldn't expect her strong water-bending ability (particularly that she's better at actual bending of it more so than other water-based skills).

3. What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?

Well, that her entire identity is pretty wrapped up in something that isn't forever, something that can be lost. And she becomes aware of it as the story progresses.

4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?

I would say maybe a moment or two of freeze, but then fight. Certainly not flee.

5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

Literally to the most dangerous island in the world equivalent to diving headfirst into hell :3

6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?

Her moral compass is very much tied to her loved ones and her personal loyalties. If you could convince her that the thing you want her to do is to help/save a loved one, that would align with her compass, and she would be immediately convinced. But outside of that? Probably not.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

Hmm not too much? Pronouns changed, because I redid some worldbuilding and changed everyone's pronouns, essentially. But in terms of her character arc and general personality, nope! Pretty consistent.

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?

Yeah, for sure.

9. Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?

A quote I saw on pinterest is good: "I haven't figured out all the people I am."

I can't share my fav quote from the book in its entirety because of spoilers, but the second half is: "And I would never forgive myself for it."

For 📚, I actually have two note apps on my phone - one for actual notes and one for my writing. For an actual note, the last thing I wrote down was...a number for one of my settlements while playing Catan a week and a half ago. For writing...the Nostra oneshot! xD

For 🍦, I'm gonna limit this to the Undertale fandom or else I wouldn't be able to pick a character. That being said, it is still very hard to pick because while I really dislike both X-Gaster and Epic!Gaster, they are well written villains. I'd say I hate...Blueberry! No, not Underswap Sans, just the popular fanon version. If he, or Classic Papyrus for that matter, are one note characters with no purpose other than being rambunctious and naive, that is an instant closing of any reverse-harem fic.

I didn't do this one yet! For ❄️, my dream plot would be anything involving Underfell!Papyrus, preferably something domestic. And I would love it if @popatochisssp was the one to write it! Their fic Roadside Attraction is sooo good and I hope they eventually find the time to update it again. Check it out!

this is. um. a Jet Set Radio/Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Death joke AU, spawned out of a in-joke that started in a pokepasta discord. my apologies to both the pokepasta and jsr fandoms

the entire basis is the idea that Corn in Future retconned og JSR Beat as leader/founder of the GGs (is beat being leader in the og even CANON?) so Corn and Beat are the Myras. no it's not a joke funny enough to justify how many hours i sunk into drawing these. no attempt was made to change the setting, assign most of the other cast, or otherwise make this au hold up to ANY amount of scrutiny. if i tried to make this actually work somehow then i'd REALLY end up too far gone. also i keep calling myrtle!beat "Meat".
