You’d known Dean all your life, practically. You met him when you were six and he was eight; two lonely little kids stuck with absent (job-driven) fathers and baby brothers you felt responsible for. Over the course of the last eighteen-or-so years you ran into the Winchesters during hunts enough that you considered them family.
When Sam left for college you were there for Dean and when you lost your dad in a hunting accident Dean was there for you. He actually stayed with you, not wanting you to hunt alone since your brother was off at college too.
So, for the last six months you’d been hunting with Dean (who hadn’t spoken to Sam for over a year).
“One room, two queens,” Dean said to the woman behind the counter, placing “his” credit card on the space between them before sliding it toward her.
“We’re all booked up I’m afraid,” she said.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah, I was actually about to turn on the no vacancy sign.”
“This is the third motel we’ve been to,” you said, “every one of them has been full—you’ve gotta have something!”
“I mean, there’s technically one room left but the heater’s out and my boss said not to let anyone sleep there because of that.”
There was a silent pause; you and Dean shared a knowing look.
“We’ll pay in cash, your boss ‘ll never know,” you told the woman. She smiled and nodded as you paid her with cash.
“Room 209, my boss gets here at ten tomorrow morning so please leave before then.” She handed you the key and you nodded in thanks.
You had underestimated just how cold the room could be, but when you unlocked and opened the door you understood why the owner didn’t want anyone staying here.
“Son of a bitch,” Dean mumbled, following you into the room and feeling the cold air. “We’re gonna freeze our asses off in here!” he quickly closed the door behind him, hoping the icy air hadn’t swept any snow into the room.
“It’s either this or we sleep in the Impala,” you shrugged, “and, no offense to your car, but it’s fuckin’ uncomfortable to sleep in.”
“And there’s only one bed,” Dean sighed.
“I’m gonna take a quick shower,” you told him, ignoring his complaints.
**
“Are you shivering or crying?” Dean asked.
You rolled over so you could meet his stare; “Shivering! It’s fuckin’ cold in here!”
“You wanna…cuddle up, maybe?” he asked hesitantly.
“Excuse me?” you laughed a little.
“Look, I’m not thrilled about it either, but it’s cold in here and unless we both wanna catch fucking pneumonia we better be smart and share body heat.”
You sighed, weighing your options; “Fine. But we never, and I mean never speak of this again, you hear me?”
“Understood.” He nodded.
You rolled back over as he scooted closer to you. He wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, pulling you into his chest.
“This okay?” he asked quietly, his lips ghosting the back of your head.
“Yeah,” you mumbled back. “Thank you, Dean.”
**
You woke up to the sound of Dean snoring loudly. You were used to his snores, sure, but he’d never been this close. He was laying on his stomach and resting on your chest; his mouth open and his hair tickling your neck. Your first reaction was annoyance but then it quickly washed away as you realized you didn’t want to move a muscle, so Dean could continue sleeping.
And the more you laid there, listening to his snores, the more you realized how comfortable you were…even in such a physically uncomfortable situation.
As the time passed and the sun began to rise, you cursed the light that was slowly but surely peeking through the curtain and onto Dean’s face.
“Morning,” he mumbled to you as he lifted his head up. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his right hand before wiping his mouth. “Sorry,” he chuckled, noticing the small spot on your gray sweater dampened with his drool.
“It’s okay,” you mumbled back. “I think it’s your sweater anyway.”
“I thought it looked familiar.”
He rolled off of you and out of bed.
You watched as he padded across the dirty carpet and over to the small kitchen. He turned on the coffee maker and the loud, off putting grinding noise made his face scrunch before he quickly shut off the (definitely broken) machine.
“So much for coffee,” he grumbled. “You gonna sit there all morning or you wanna get outta here? We’ve got a long drive ahead of us.”
“I’m getting up,” you replied. You would usually be annoyed at him for rushing you to wake up, but this time the annoyance was…different. Something about his bedhead, the way his lips were pouting over the lack of caffeine, and how he looked in his brown Henley and baggy sweats just made you wanna hold him again. All you wanted was to pull him back into bed with you and hold him in your arms forever.
**
You were beyond frustrated at this point. How many stupid fucking hotels had to have vacant rooms with two beds and a functional heating system!?
It had been nearly six months since you and Dean shared a bed and you had been looking for an excuse to sleep next to him ever since.
But the last couple weeks had been different—Sammy was back. Yes, you loved Sam like a brother, but you missed getting to be alone with Dean. You missed sitting shotgun in the Impala and watching him drive.
Sam definitely noticed the way you looked at Dean, but the younger Winchester didn’t say a word. Without being too obvious about it, he tried to do little things that would let you be close to his brother. He’d sit in a certain chair or part of the couch so that you and Dean had no choice but to sit together. Or he’d make some lame excuse so that he got his own room while you and Dean had to share. “I need to do some more research and I need the light, why don’t you two just sleep in the other room?” for example.
**
“Two rooms, please,” Dean said, reaching into his coat pocket for his wallet.
“Unfortunately we’ve only got one room left,” the cashier replied.
You almost couldn’t believe your ears, fucking finally!
“Oh, that’s too bad,” you faked your best frustrated look, of course Sam saw right through that.
“Well, I am not sharing with either or you,” he said with a teasing smile.
“There’s actually a pullout couch in that room, as luck would have it,” the cashier informed the three of you.
God fucking damn it, you thought to yourself.
**
It was barely after two when you felt the bed behind you dip, and you shook yourself awake.
“The hell?” you asked, still half asleep.
“The pullout couch isn’t working,” Dean mumbled quietly. “You mind sharing with me?”
You smiled a little and scooted closer into his arms, indicating you were okay with him sleeping next to you.
“Of course I don’t mind sharing with you,” you whispered and his grip tightened.
**
“I’m gonna go get breakfast,” Sam announced. “I’m assuming you want your usual?”
Dean put his right pointer finger to his lips and furrowed his brows angrily. He gestured to you as you slept and Sam got the message.
“Usual is good,” Dean whispered before Sam left.
Dean stayed laying perfectly still as you slept on his chest, soft snores escaping your lips and to Dean they were the sweetest sound.
As you stirred awake slowly, he rubbed your back a little.
“Morning,” you mumbled, a small smile on your lips. “Where’s Sam?”
“He went to grab breakfast,” Dean told you.
You furrowed your brows as you sat up, looked across the room, and realized something; “The pullout bed looks fine? I thought you said it wasn’t working?” You turned back to Dean, who had a sheepish grin growing on his lips.
“So…maybe I’ve just been looking for an excuse to sleep next to you again. Like we did back in that motel when the heat was out.”
“Really?” You attempted to hide the smile trying to find its way onto your face.
“When we were checking in last night I noticed how your face lit up when they said there was only one room left,” Dean admitted. “And I saw that disappointed look you made when they said there was a pullout couch. So, am I wrong, or have you been wanting an excuse too?”
“I really liked sleeping next to you that night,” you said, avoiding eye contact. “And you’re right, I have been hoping for another ‘oh no just one bed, guess we’ll have to share’ situation but…”
“But what?” Dean asked when you trailed off. You looked down at him.
“Dean, you and Sam have been like my brothers for as long as I can remember. I mean, Bobby practically raised all three of us and my actual brother as siblings! Your dad and my dad knew each other basically forever and I guess…I guess I figured our lives are too entangled for anything to ever actually happen between us. We’re family.”
“Chosen family, Y/n.” Dean smiled softly. “Doesn’t mean you have to be my chosen sister, you could be my chosen…you know…”
You leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his full lips.
“That,” Dean finished his previous statement.
“Let’s just keep this between us for now, okay?” you suggested. “If Sam finds out, then your dad will find out, and he’ll immediately tell my brother, then before we know it Bobby—”
“I get the picture, sweetheart,” Dean chuckled before kissing you again. He put his hands on your cheeks as he sat up. He pulled you onto his lap, your legs now straddling his hips. His hands moved to your shoulders then trailed down to your lower back as yours went into his hair. You pulled away from him after a moment, huge smiles on both your faces.
You looked into his eyes, his truly beautiful eyes, and you bit your bottom lip ever so slightly. Your right hand rested on his left cheek, your thumb stroking his skin lovingly.
“You’re awesome, Dean Winchester,” you whispered.
“You’re fuckin’ incredible,” he replied before he kissed you again. “And gorgeous, too,” he added. “You know how fuckin’ annoying it’s been, sleeping without you every night since that one time?”
“I do know, Dean, I’ve been just as annoyed about it.”
Dean kissed you one more time before he wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace, tucking his head into your neck. You wrapped your arms around him too, pressing your lips to his temple.
You pulled out of the hug so you could once again look at his face. Resting your forehead on his, you smiled before you kissed him again.
“Breakfast,” Sam called out as he opened the door, “is served!”
You and Dean froze for a split second before you hurried off of him.
“Shit, I’m sorry,” Sam said, “did I interrupt you two?”
“What?” you scoffed. “Of course not!”
“Interrupt? There’s nothing to interrupt?” Dean added.
“Oh…wow you two are fast,” Sam mumbled, shaking his head as he made his way to the kitchen before putting the food down. “Well, pancakes, eggs, and bacon from the continental breakfast.” He gestured to the food now on the table. “Hope you’re hungry.”
As Sam sat down to eat, you looked at Dean anxiously. Say something you begged him with your eyes.
“Sammy,” Dean started as he got out of bed, “would you mind uh…not telling dad? About me and Y/n…kissing just now? When we find him, I mean.”
“Dad’s never really been invested in your love life, but he’s not an idiot,” Sam laughed.
“So…you are gonna tell him?” Dean furrowed his brows in frustration.
“Dean, he knows you two are together, it’s not some big secret?” Sam replied, shoveling more food into his mouth. “Damn that’s good.”
“Okay, just hold on—what?” Dean asked. “What do you mean dad knows? There’s been nothing to know since like four minutes ago?”
“Wait,” Sam stopped eating and fully turned to face you and his brother, “are you trying to tell me this is the first time you two have kissed?” Sam furrowed his brows deeply as you and Dean both nodded. “So…never in high school?” You shook your heads again. “That prom we crashed?”
“Sam you were there the whole time? When would we have kissed?” you asked.
“Huh,” Sam let out a laugh. “I genuinely thought you two had been a thing since like… ‘98.”
“What!?” you and Dean exclaimed in unison.

Holding Tight
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader
Request: can you write a fic with dean where he just craves physical attention but not by verbally asking for it? like when dean wakes up from a nightmare he crawls into y/n’s bed and they both just know what to do, like they’ve done it a million times. or after a bad hunt, y/n just hugs dean while he processes his emotions in his own way.
Masterlist
Story:
The car ride back to the motel was quiet. Dean drove, his knuckles white on the steering wheel, Sam stared out the window watching the rain, and [Y/N] sat in the back, her head resting against the back seat, exhausted. No music played, no one spoke, no one wanted to discuss the hunt they had just finished up with. It had been one of [Y/N]'s least favourite monsters; a wendigo. The trio had arrived in a small town full of disappearances a week ago, and it had taken them five days to track down the wendigo's lair. Five days of continuous disappearances, knowing that each day that passed meant finding survivors less and less likely. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. One they found the creature, Sam had been knocked out almost immediately. Dean's gun jammed, and [Y/N]'s lighter wouldn't light when she'd had the chance to set the thing on fire.
When they eventually killed it and went looking for the missing people, only one was still alive, and only barely. They'd gotten the survivor to hospital, but the doctors were sceptical they'd ever recover. Between the week preceding and the week during the Winchesters and [Y/N] being in the town, eighteen people had gone missing. Seventeen people had died on their watch, and the remaining survivor would most likely add to the count within the next couple of days. They were all miserable, but Dean took it the hardest. He always did. To him, if Sam or [Y/N] didn't manage to save someone, then it wasn't their fault. No one can save everyone all of the time. When he couldn't save someone however, it was because he wasn't good enough. He didn't train hard enough, he wasn't fast enough, he wasn't smart enough, he just wasn't enough. [Y/N] looked at the back of his head from her position in the back of the Impala, he was thinking these thoughts so loud she swore she could hear them. It was taking everything in her to not try and tell him it wasn't his fault, but she knew he would shrug her off and only fall deeper into self destruction, so she stayed quiet.
It was one of the rare instances where the motel had a room with three separate beds, usually they'd have to book two rooms, or [Y/N] would have to take the couch, or one of the brothers would end up on the floor. Tonight all three of them were thankful that they'd have each other in the room, even if they weren't talking, and all three were looking forward to the day ending and getting into bed. [Y/N] showered first, trying to be quick and not use up all the hot water while also getting all of the blood and dirt out of her hair and off her body. She tucked herself into her bed straight after while Sam took his turn. She rolled onto her side to face Dean, who was sitting at a little table in the motel room, staring out the window at the rain just as Sam had in the car. She sighed quietly, wishing more than anything that she knew what to say to calm his mind and take the guilt away from him, but she knew he would come to her when he was ready, he always did.
Dean went for his shower as soon as Sam came out. The moment Sam's head hit his pillow, he was out, softly snoring having not even bothered to get under the covers. [Y/N] listened to the sound of the water running in the shower, feeling sad knowing that Dean was in there beating himself up like usual. She rolled onto her back and stared up at the ceiling, the guilt of not saving everyone also weighing on her own shoulders. In some sad toxic thought process that they all shared, it made them all feel worse that they themselves hadn't sustained any major injuries. Sam had been knocked out but given the all clear by the paramedics, and [Y/N] and Dean only had a few scratches and bruises between them. She closed her eyes when she heard the shower turn off, holding her breath in anticipation to find out if Dean was ready to seek comfort in her or if he would choose his own bed and wallow in self pity.
The bathroom door opened, and she heard Dean's footsteps walk to the side of her bed. She opened her eyes and turned her head to the side to look up at him, only just able to make out his features in the low light. He looked broken, his eyes were red having obviously cried in the shower, his shoulders were slumped, and he looked tired. She pulled back the covers and opened her arms in a silent invitation, and he crawled onto the bed, his knees either side of her legs and his hands either side of her shoulders, before he let himself down, lying on top of her. He was shirtless, and his warm body covered hers, his arms snaked around her waist and his head lay on her chest, tucked under her chin. She breathed in, the scent of shampoo in his damp hair just beneath her nose. She felt him sigh and relax on top of her, and she brought her hand up and around to his back, scratching lightly. One of her hands wandered up his spine, along his neck, and into his hair, lightly scratching the top of his head while her other hand drew circles on his back. He tightened his grip around her, as if he was trying to get as close as possible. Her movements slowed as she grew tired, and when she heard his slow and deep breathing she finally let herself drift off to sleep. She knew that in the morning she would wake up in his arms, rather than Dean still be in hers, his masculinity having got the better of him at some stage during the night, so she let herself enjoy holding him while it lasted. She needed this too, being able to hold someone, comfort someone, make them feel safe, it comforted her.
***
Several weeks later, and they had returned to the bunker after another unsuccessful hunt. The two successful hunts they'd had in between didn't seem to matter, only the hunts with less than ideal outcomes stuck in their heads. Sam had gone off to his room as soon as they'd arrived back. Dean had a pretty bad cut on his shoulder and [Y/N] had offered to clean and stitch it up for him, but he'd waved her off, grumbling about how he could do it instead, and disappeared into his room. [Y/N] stared after him as he walked down the corridor, sighing as she knew he was yet again probably stuck in his head, repeating the events of the hunt over and over again, thinking about anything that could possibly be considered a mistake.
She got herself a glass of water from the kitchen, and sat down at the table for a moment, staring into space. As bad as she felt for Dean, she felt emotionally drained too. She'd held someone while they died from a werewolf attack, too far gone to help. Dean had been thrown against a large rock, leading to the gash in his shoulder, and [Y/N] hadn't been able to help. Sam was the one who eventually killed the wolf, and although she knew it couldn't hurt anyone else, it still felt like a failure. When she finished her drink, she washed the glass and began to walk to her room. She passed Dean's room on the way, and stood outside the closed door for a moment, wondering what was going through his head. She sighed, and knocked on the door. In the absence of an answer, she decided to crack it open. Peeking inside, she saw Dean sitting on the edge of his bed, his head in his hands, cleaning supplies sitting beside him untouched.
She quietly opened the door farther and stepped inside before closing in gently behind her. She knelt down in front of Dean, who hadn't acknowledged her presence, and she hooked her finger under his chin, pulling him up to look at her. They locked eyes for a moment before he shook his head and looked away. She took his decision to stay seated as an invitation, and she took the bottle of alcohol and an antiseptic wipe from beside Dean, and got to work. He didn't flinch when she poured the alcohol on his shoulder, and he didn't flinch when she began to sew up the wound either. He just sat there, his face turned away from her. She finished by taping a bandage to his shoulder and closing up the supply kit. She sat down beside him and sighed. "Dean". She whispered.
Dean looked to her and he broke, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her onto his lap so she was straddling him. He leaned his forehead against hers and she felt a tear drip down onto her face. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him tight. She leaned up and kissed his forehead, watching his eyes flutter closed before she dipped her head down, snuggling into his chest. They sat like that in silence for a long time, holding each other tight, before Dean lay back, bringing her down with him. She lay her head on his chest and this time it was Dean who traced circles on [Y/N]'s back, the act of soothing her also soothing himself. The pair fell asleep in each other's arms, sharing the sadness between them lessening the effect on their minds.
***
It was only two nights later when [Y/N] was woken up by the sound of her bedroom door creaking open. Glancing at her clock, it was just after 3am. She didn't need to look around to know that it was Dean who'd just let himself into her room and closed the door. Dean often checked in on [Y/N] during the night, sometimes just quickly glancing in to check that she was breathing before leaving again, sometimes walking over and pulling her covers up, or pulling her shoes off after a long day when she hadn't intended to fall asleep fully clothed. Sometimes he just came in to replace the glass of water she always kept on her bedside table, and sometimes he only came in to gently kiss her forehead, and appreciate how grateful he was to have her in his life.
This night however, Dean needed more than just a quick check or a forehead kiss. She heard him walk over to her bed, and she felt her covers pull back and her bed dip down behind her. Dean pressed his chest against her back and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her in close. He tangled his legs with hers, and rested his chin on the top of her head. She heard him sigh in contentment, and she reached up to stroke her fingers along the hand and arm he had around her waist. He snuggled in closer when he realised that she was awake, holding her as tight as possible without hurting her. He kissed the top of her head and listened as her breathing became slower and deeper. Whether he was holding her tightly or being held by her tightly, he needed it. He needed her and she needed him, they would always know and give each other what they needed.
The end

It had been a few days after Sam went to hell. Dean had lost his brother and you had lost your best friend that day. It was hard on you both. You didn't talk about it.
You both had been pushing your feelings down, about the whole situation, too scared to open up. Since Sam had been gone you and Dean had been hunting nonstop. It had been an easier way to cope with everything. Just pretending that everything was fine when it wasn't.
You And Dean had just finished vamp hunt and he offered to get food for you both.
After the hunt It had been raining like cats and dogs, you had been stuck in the hotel room trying to get a signal on the tv. "Come on!" You scream hitting the sides of the tv, it had been going out since the storm started, you sigh and run you hand across your face, when you were met with black and white static.
"Piece of shit-" You mutter kicking the bottom of the tv stand. You huff and sit on the edge of one of the motel beds.
You and Dean had been laying low for the past couple of days. You didn't hear from Bobby nor cas. You flop back onto the bed with a groan.
That was until the motel door swung open causing you to look over.
"Still nothing?" Dean questions throwing a white fastfood bag onto the little table in the kitchen.
"Nope." You say still looking at the ceiling.
You hear shuffling for a second, then you see the green eyed hunter standing over you with something wrapped in tinfoil. "Eat." He says placing it next to you.
You quickly sit up and grab the burger. You watch as Dean sits on the bed opposite bed across from you, he begins to unwrap the burger he had gotten both of you.
You watch as he bites into it, but you also noticed his wet hair. You watch him take two bites before looking in your direction.
Dean stops chewing the food in his mouth, "What?" He questions when he catches you stare at him.
"Nothing." You say.
Dean mumbles an 'ok' and continues to eat.
For some guy who had lost his brother he seems to be doing just fine. You get up from the bed, and walk into the kitchen, pulling out the chair you pull back the motel curtain, you stare out the window and watch the rain fall.
You missed Sam, he was your besfriend - besides Dean you thought, you and Dean were never really close it upset you, he never really talked to you about anything besides Sam. When you entered the room he'd go quite.
You never understood why.
You had been staring out the window for too long to notice the green eyed hunter sitting across from you.
"You really should eat."
His voice rumbles through your body. "I'm good." You say looking from the window and to the man that had been sitting across from you for god knows how long.
Dean sighs and leans back in the chair.
"You okay Dean?" You Hum crossing your arms over your chest.
"As good as i can be." He huffs through his nose, "I could ask you the same thing, I know loosing your bestfriend is hard." He says.
You roll your eyes, "He's your brother Dean."
Dean leans forward on the table his arms resting against the table. He nods his head, "We'll get him back." Dean says taking a deep breath, "We always do." He gets up from the table tapping his knuckles against the wood.
You notice the bruises that sit upon his knuckles, they were purple. He had gotten them trying to fight of a vampire, to save you.
"Sorry about that." You swallow, your eyes still focused on the purple.
Dean follows your gaze.
"Its nothing, happens." He says walking over to the fridge, he opens it pulling out two beers. He holds one up, He knew you weren't very much of a drinker. You hated beer. But why the hell not, right?
You get up from your chair and make your way over to Dean where he was leaning against the counter. He flicks the bottle top off and plops it in the sink behind him.
You copy his motion, you step beside him and plop the top into the sink.
You bring the bottle up to your lips, the bitter liquid runs down your throat. pullinging the bottle away, you notice Dean's eyes on yours.
"What?" You hiccup.
"Nothing," He says bringing the glass bottle up to his lips.
You begin to fidgit with the bottle, you were still facing the sink, staring down at the two bottle tops in the sink. "Do you ever think about it?" You hum.
Dean turns his head in confusion, "Think about..? he questions, you noticed the confusion in his voice.
You take a deep breath, "Getting out, hunting. And living a normal life."
Dean stares down at his bottle, "All the time." Dean sighs.
He had called one of his lovers, Lisa hoping to rekindle something with her now that Sam was gone, she said yes. Dean was supposed to leave by morning.
But Dean didn't know if he wanted too, it would leave you alone and he knew that you were counting on him to be there.
You sigh.
You could see Dean shifing in his spot. What was he thinking about you wonder?
You place the beer bottle down on the counter, making your way over to the bed. The staic looking on the tv fills your ears.
"Do you think about it?" Dean asks putting his bottle next to yours. He strieds over to the bed and sits next to you.
Talking a shaky breath, you turn to face the green eyed man. "No." Dean watches you fiddle with your fingers, as he waits for you to contiue, "I never saw myself settling down, or getting out of this life, it's not for me. This is my life. There's no changing that."
Dean nods at your words.
You look up to find the man looking at you. His eyes searching your face, going back and forth between your eyes and lips.
It all happened to fast, Dean's lips on yours you his on his shirt, urging him to take it off.
This was wrong, you thought. You never felt this way about him. He was so mysterious, he never let you in on anything that happened to him, it was always Sam filling you in.
You both could barely be in a room together without one of you leaving because of the awkwardness.
But maybe it was Dean putting up a guard to try and protect you. He knew you didn't belong in this life, hunting and killing things. It just wasn't right for you.
You're different you aren't like him or Sam. And that's what Dean liked.
You were bought out of your thoughts when Dean nipped your ear causing you to squeal. "everything okay?" Dean questions looking up. You were straddling him.
His lips were pink and swollen from the kissing.
You quickly nod and grab his face, pressing your lips against his.
- - You had been woken up by a pounding on the door, you shoot up out of the bed, your eyes still trying to adjust from the light that was coming through the window.
You quickly pull the covers from your body, cold air hits your skin, you were naked. "Shit." You mumble, the pouding on the door didn't stop.
You looking over on the side of your bed where you were hoping to find Dean but he was gone. A bad feeling washed over you when you slide you t-shirt over your head.
You smelt him everywhere. In your skin in your hair. He was everywhere but no where all at once.
Putting the last leg into your jean's you fling open the door.
You were met with an old lady and a cleaning cart, "Room service!" She smiles, squeezing past you with her cart. You close the door behind you.
You quickly rush over to the bathrrom, maybe he'd just been in there, but you were met with a dark room. His duffle bag was gone. You swallow hard.
You walk back into the kitchen to find the beer bottles still sitting on the counter. Everything was gone, he was gone.
Tears form in your eyes. You grab your socks and shoes, and your coat that had been on the back of the chair in the kitchen chair.
You do a quick run through of the room to make sure you weren't missing anything.
Turing your head over your shoulder you had noticed the tv wasn't static anymore, an episode of 'Dr sexy' Was playing on the screen.
The cleaning lady had made her way over to the kitchen area, throwing away the bottles you and Dean had drank out of earlier.
You sigh and fish the hotel key out of your pocket before setting it down on the table.
You shut the door of the motel behind you, you fish out your phone and scroll through your contacts.
You click on the name before letting it ring a few times.
"Hey Bobby, care to give a girl a lift?"

"Is he okay?" You asked, your voice echoing in the bunker.
"I'm super. Not even a scratch." Dean said, probably getting closer to the phone his brother was holding.
"You're "super" but you could have died!" You heard Sam say.
"Sam, you're exaggerating, I ..." It was the last thing you heard before the line dropped.
You sighed, waiting for them to come back.
After a few hours, the bunker door opened and Sam and Dean entered talking to each other.
When you saw Dean, your body acted before you could think and you strode towards him.
"God, you're okay." You said wrapping your arms around his neck and pushing him close to you for a hug.
When you did it, Dean didn't react as you expected. You thought at least you would feel an arm on your back, at least a pat on your shoulder. Instead, you felt his muscles stiffen and his arms remained still at his sides. You waited a few seconds, but nothing has changed.
Okay, that was almost embarrassing. Maybe you shouldn't have done that.
You walked away from him muttering an "sorry" and trying to read his expression but failing miserably.

Dean's pov:
That night, Dean found himself lying in his bed, thinking.
Thinking that he was stupid and the one who ruined everything, as always.
It was a strange feeling what he felt towards you. He wanted to be touched by you again, but not in a sexual way.
No, he didn't wanted it. He needed it.
He needed to feel your body close to his, your arms around him but he didn't want to ask you.
He felt like something was missing in his life now, and it was your body against his.
It was something he had never felt before and he was almost scared.
His thoughts led him to the last time he had had human contact that wasn't during a fight and that wasn't a quick hug with his brother. Had it been with his mom? Had it been so many years since someone had really hugged him? Was that why after you did it was the only thing he thought about?
And then, was it normal for a grown man to want to be hugged? He was no longer a child, why would he need something like that? Did other people feel the same need? And thinking about it, he wanted you to be the person to hug him, he was sure it wouldn't be the same with others but he didn't quite know why.
Dean wanted to hit his head against the wall because of all the questions running around his brain.
He wanted to have hugged you when he had the chance, when you did it. You probably now thought you did something wrong and wouldn't even try to do it again. He had almost flinched when you hugged him and he didn't even know why. Maybe because he wasn't used to it and never expected it from you.
But he loved it, and the only thing he was sure about was that he wanted you to hug him again and hold him for a while if you wanted but he couldn't ask you to do that.
Would you have laughed in his face? Would you have said it was stupid and that he was acting like a child? God, if Dean could punch himself he would.
Instead, he crossed his arms over his chest and tried to sleep, but all he could think was himself resting his head on your chest, you holding him tightly against you and letting your fingers go through his hair, he wrapping you with his arms and feeling the beating of your heart.
After a few attempts to get that thought out of his head, he accepted the fact that if he couldn't have it, at least he could have fallen asleep imagining it. And so he did.

Your pov:
Dean was avoiding you, you were sure about it. And he was acting weird around you. So, the night after, when you walked past the open door of his room, in the bunker, you took the chance and walked in.
"Hey." You said sitting next to him on his bed but keeping some space between you.
Dean looked at you without saying anything as you settled on his bed.
"We need to talk." You said calmly. You didn't want to fight, you just wanted to know if he was mad at you and if he was, for what reason. You thought he might be angry because you hugged him. Maybe he thought you were trying to get something else out of him, maybe he didn't like being touched, maybe he didn't like being touched by you.
"What you want to talk about?" He asked you. You could hear a thread of concern in his voice.
"You've been acting weird around me lately." You explained.
"Me? I'm not weird. What made you think that? Don't think I ..." He mumbled before you interrupted him.
"See? You're panicking. It's okay Dean, it's me, you can tell me." You said.
"Just don't laugh at me." He whispered staring at his hands.
"Dean, please explain what's going on." You said.
"Yesterday you... hugged me." He started saying.
"If you didn't want me to do it or if you misinterpreted it, I'm sorry. I was just glad you were okay and..." You said before Dean interrupted you this time.
"No. That's not it. Please don't think you've done something wrong because that's not the case at all." He continued.
"Then I don't understand..." You said.
"It just... felt good." He whispered.
"And that's a good thing. Isn't it?" You asked. You were genuinely confused.
"Yeah." He said simply, always looking down.
"I still don't understand ..." You started saying.
"I just want a hug." He said suddenly.
"Do you want a what?" You asked, surprised. Actually, you understood. But you wanted to make sure you got it right. Was Dean Winchester asking for a hug?
"See, that's why I didn't want to tell you. It's stupid, forget it okay?" He said starting to get out of bed.
To make him stay, you grabbed his hand with yours.
"Is that all? Was that the problem? You just wanted... a hug?" You asked.
Dean stared at your hand holding his for a moment, like it was a weird thing. Like he usually stared at the image of a strange creature in a newspaper or an article on the internet.
You were just holding his hand and he was staring at it like it was something he had never seen before and you thought maybe the "problem" wasn't a hug, it was any kind of human contact. Maybe he just needed it.
Dean nodded, answering your question.
You pulled his hand towards you, pushing him back onto the bed and making him sit down again. You slowly wrapped your arms around him, pushing his body against yours. You could feel his muscles tighten as you ran a hand up and down his back, his body completely rigid.
"Hey, alright. It's alright." You whispered.
After a few seconds you felt his arms wrap around you and you smiled, even though he couldn't see you.
His body slowly relaxed against yours as you kept drawing imaginary circles on his back.
Dean never said a word all the time.
"Are you okay?" You asked, still holding him.
You felt him nod on your shoulder as he held you tighter but without hurting you.
God, that man didn't need a hug but all the affection the world could give him, you thought as you raised a hand to stroke his hair.
You could almost feel Dean's heart pounding as you ran your fingers through his brown locks and he buried his face in your neck.
"Is that okay?" You asked softly.
He nodded again, without speaking and you kept stroking his hair for a few minutes while his arms still held you as if he was afraid you might disappear at any moment. If your heart hadn't broken when you realized how touch starved he was, it would soon have.
"Is that okay too?" You asked again when after a few moments you left a light kiss on his temple. He raised his head slightly and you could have sworn you saw tears in his eyes.
You wish he'd asked you sooner. You wished you knew first what Dean really needed. He nodded again and closed his eyes as you left another kiss on his forehead.
"Can I keep doing that?" You asked.
He nodded. "Don't stop, please." He whispered. You couldn't help but think he looked like a puppy who, after years of lovelessness, just wanted to be cuddled.
You gently placed your lips on his cheek, on his jaw and then again on his forehead and temple.
"I love you. And I care about you. You know that right? I think I should tell you more often." You said, your voice almost a whisper. You felt Dean's warm hand running up and down your back, like you did before.
"Thank you." He said eventually. "I love you too."
You wanted to tell him you loved him more than a friend. That you cared about him more than a friend. But that was not the right time. Maybe one day you would, maybe even soon. For the moment you just had to hold him tight.
"Is it okay for you if I stay here tonight?" You asked.
"Yes. You can... please stay." He answered, his voice low.
You lay still holding Dean tight to your body, his arms around you. He rested his head on your chest.
"Goodnight De." You whispered after a few minutes, running your fingers through his hair one last time.
"'Night Y/N." He replied before falling asleep in your arms.
That night, you found a new side of Dean. Probably a side that had been there for a long time and was just hidden, probably a side that you were the first person to see, you thought before falling asleep, mentally promising Dean to hold his hand, leave kisses on his face and hug him more often.
He deserved it. He needed it.

Tumblr media
“Stop holding back, you could… you know… do something for me and I will let you go, alive,” the dark voice of the monster before you made a shiver run up your spine. Your stomach churned nervously, but you gave in anyway.
“Do what?” You sobbed, tugging helplessly at the chains around tour wrist.
You felt a warm breath by your cheek and you inhaled sharply, your body instantly tightened with stress.
“A little bit of magic,” the words brushed against your ear and neck. And you didn’t think you could shiver any harder than you already were, but your body shook with a shudder and your muscles clenched tighter, somehow.
“I can’t do magic,” you whispered with defeat, trying not to cry when a hand squeezed around your throat. “I’m not a witch,” you struggled to breathe through the tight grip.
Whatever the thing was that held you captive, squeezed your throat so tight you could feel your frantic heart beat against its palm. Then, the grip loosened with a frustrated growl, an impatient sound, desperate.
“But you are something,” it insisted through clenched teeth, “something very powerful.”
“I’ve never even… I think you’ve got the wrong person,” you argued weakly. Your body slowly relaxed and you accepted whatever your fate was.
You didn’t bother letting your eyes fall shut, you didn’t bother trying to squint and making something out of your surroundings. The pitch black room revealed nothing to you. All you could smell was dank air and dirt, hear the echo of yours and your captor’s breath against concrete walls and floor. The occasionally clink of the metal that bound you to the floor, the rustle of leaves with the shuffle of feet.
“I don’t have the wrong person. I think you’ve been holding back,” the voice grinned and two hands pressed against either side of your temples. “Why don’t we go back to the biggest hits? To all those times you’ve felt powerless?”
Tumblr media
“You know… this doesn’t change the way I see you,” Dean promised, kissing your forehead. He absentmindedly played with a strand of your hair and kissed your cheek when you sniffled.
“I can’t… what if I can’t control it?” You whispered, wiping away tears with your sleeve as they flowed from your eyes with no end in sight.
“Hey, you’re such a control freak, I doubt you’ll let your powers beat you,” Dean grinned in attempts to cheer you up, but you were barely able to muster up a smile. You generally found Dean hilarious, something he knew well enough to find a way to cheer you up easily. Even when you had no idea what he was saying, he always made you laugh. It was always that dorky, boyish grin of his that made you crack up.
Dean shimmied down on the bed so he could face you. He sighed and gave you a weak smile. You were embarrassed of your wet eyes and swollen lips, but you knew Dean wasn’t judging you, and that’s why letting yourself fall apart was always so easy to do when you were with him.
“We’ve gone through worse and we’ve come out pretty damn alright.” His hand landed gently on your flushed, hot cheek. You finally looked into his gentle eyes, through watery vision and sticky lashes he still looked beautiful. “I promise that I will help you in any way that I can, sweetheart. So will, Sam. And so will Cas. We’re a family, you’re not gunna do this alone. Okay?”
Dean waited for you to nod. You almost couldn’t breath with the way he looked at you. With his soft green eyes glowing with determination, and kindness, and empathy. It hurt so much that you just nodded, and buried your face in his chest so that all the emotions in his eyes wouldn’t get to you and make you break down again.
He held you close to him and chuckled softly. He pressed his lips to the top of your head and soothingly rubbed your back while you clung to the warm layers on his body.
Tumblr media
“Oh, sweetheart,” Dean gasped out a laugh, hunching over with his hands on his knees. “You’re not dangerous at all, you just suck at this. So… don’t be nervous.”
You glared at Dean as he struggled to breathe and wheezed out another laugh. Sam sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose with one arm crossed over his firm chest. Even Cas seemed irritated with Dean; he rolled his eyes and let his hands slap against his thighs in defeat, his powers slowly fading.
“This isn’t easy and you’re doing great,” Sam encouraged you and squeezed your shoulder reassuringly when he made his way across to you. “Cas, again,” he tipped his head towards you and returned next to Dean to elbow him in his ribs.
Dean squirmed and wiped tears of laughter from his eyes, his eyes shimmering with flirtatiousness when they opened back up to you and the glare you sent his way. He wiggled his brows and smacked his tongue above the roof of his mouth, and you couldn’t resist the tiny smile from growing on your face. Or the blush that began to heat up your face, the skipped beat of you once fearful heart, the clench of your stomach. Yup, Dean still had it.
“Try to… um, just don’t hit us… well, you can hit Dean,” Sam snickered, ignoring the glare Dean shot at him. You grinned when Dean glanced back at you and you picked yourself. He sneaked behind Sam to hide from you and the way you unfortunately sucked at using your abilities. Most of your anxiousness disappeared, and Cas smiled reassuringly when he powered up.
You didn’t think things could be any better, all things considered. New powers, new you. But most importantly, your relationship with Dean, Sam, and Cas seemed to get better in the past seven months, like this one bad thing that happened to you didn’t get between you… instead, it wove the four of you together, and squeezed tight like a knitted blanket. Despite the fear, the anxiety, the uncertainty of what you were now, you felt warm, safe, and secure. With the people you call your family.
You had Dean to thank for that. And everyone else’s for falling into your life so perfectly.

You shifted onto your back, letting your tired eyes wander across the shadowy ceiling. The wall clock's relentless ticking concealed the time, but you were certain that sleep should have already claimed you by now. Resting in one of the motel's less-than-cozy beds, nestled near Telluride, Colorado, the room's silence was intermittently shattered by Dean's unrelenting snoring, which was pushing you to the brink of madness.
With a soft sigh, you raised yourself into a seated position, your hands cradling your tired face, a silent battle raging within you to resist the urge to suffocate Dean with a pillow. Your gaze darted to the sleeping Sam, then settled on Dean's back as he lay on his side.
You arrived in town alongside the Winchester brothers, ready to tackle a puzzling string of mountain disappearances. The circumstances surrounding the case remained a mystery to you, with the root cause still shrouded in uncertainty. Although you had your suspicions, you knew there was plenty of work ahead, and the prospect of a sleepless night didn't exactly lift your spirits.
You arched your head back, returning your gaze to the ceiling as another sigh escaped your lips. At last, you shifted your legs over the edge of the bed, rising to your feet. Your hand reached for one of the brothers' jackets, and with a simple motion, you exited the room. You hoped that a quick walk in the cold, fresh night air could make you sleepy. Maybe the wind will whip me into such a state that I'll lose my hearing and finally drift off to sleep, you thought slightly amused, looking for positives in this pathetic situation.
Tumblr media
The sun's faint morning rays began to seep through the curtains of the dimly lit motel room. Sam stirred in his bed, his sleep-laden eyes blinking open as he noticed the absence of a familiar presence beside him. He frowned and turned his head, only to find an empty bed where you had been resting just hours before.
Sam sat up abruptly, his heart racing as he scanned the room. Dean, who had been sprawled out in another bed, all this time snoring softly, was now roused by Sam's sudden movement. He blinked blearily, struggling to comprehend the situation.
“Dean!” Sam hissed urgently, his voice tinged with alarm. “Wake up! Y/N's gone!”
Dean sat up sluggishly, not entirely comprehending the commotion. As far as he was concerned, there was no need for alarm. Nobody had forcefully confined you to the room, so it seemed obvious to him that you had simply risen early for a morning stroll.
“Sam, relax,” Dean muttered, not quite grasping the gravity of the situation yet. “Y/N probably stepped out for breakfast or something. She'll be back.”
But as Sam's gaze darted around the room, he noticed something that heightened his unease. “Dean,” he said, his voice tinged with increasing concern, pointing at the empty hook where Dean's jacket should have been hanging.
Dean finally started to stir fully awake, glancing at the vacant hook, and then back at Sam. “Okay, so maybe Y/N took my jacket too. It's not a big deal.”
As Dean spoke, Sam's eyes fell upon something on the nightstand. It was your phone, usually never left behind. He grabbed it and held it up for Dean to see. “Dean, Y/N's phone is here,” Sam said with a sense of growing concern. “She wouldn't have gone anywhere without it.”
Dean's eyebrows furrowed as the realization set in. The absence of both you and your phone suddenly felt more ominous. “Alright, let's not jump to conclusions,” he said, though the unease in his voice was palpable. “We'll wait a little longer, but if she doesn't come back soon, we need to check things out and see if there's anything else strange going on.”
Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.
The rhythmic ticking of the wall clock served as a relentless reminder of time slipping away
Dean fought to keep his emotions in check, methodically going about his morning routine, from toothbrush to getting dressed. His emotions were simmering beneath the surface, but he was determined not to let them get the best of him.
Meanwhile, Sam perched at the table, your mobile phone resting prominently before him. His gaze remained fixed on the device, a glimmer of hope that you might soon breeze through the room door, bearing coffee and a bagel, filling the space with your familiar presence.
“It's a quarter past eight already,” Sam remarked, his eyes shifting to his brother. He leaned on the table, his fingers anxiously toying with the first signs of stubble on his chin. “We have no idea when she left,” he added with a touch of frustration.
Dean pondered the situation briefly, meeting Sam's gaze before letting out an exasperated huff. “Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, his annoyance clear in his expression and tone.
The mounting tension in the room finally propelled the brothers into action. Dean grabbed his flannel shirt, throwing it on, and Sam slipped your phone into his pocket before they headed toward the motel room door.
“We’ve got to figure out what’s going on,” Sam declared, his voice determined.
Dean nodded in agreement, his jaw set. “I swear I'm gonna fucking kill her if she's just making fun of us.”
As they prepared to leave, Sam hesitated for a moment, his hand hovering over the doorknob. He glanced back at the room, a glimmer of hope still flickering in his eyes. “Let's leave the door unlocked,” he said quietly, as much to reassure himself as Dean. “Just in case Y/N comes back.”
With that, they stepped out into the brisk morning, making quick strides in the direction of the parked Impala.
Tumblr media
You slowly regained consciousness, a disorienting haze clouding your senses. Your body ached with a piercing pain, and a strange, unpleasant feeling gnawed at you. Panic coursed through your veins as you tried to make sense of your surroundings.
It was pitch black, and you couldn't see a thing. The air was thick with a noxious stench that seemed to cling to your very skin. Your head throbbed with a dull ache, and you groaned, attempting to move, only to realize that your limbs were bound, and you couldn't feel solid ground beneath you.
Panic turned to terror as your hands met resistance above your head. You strained your neck, struggling to see what lay beyond you. And then, as your eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, the horrifying truth revealed itself.
You were hanging from the ceiling, head down, alongside two other lifeless bodies. Their forms dangled grotesquely, and it was clear they had been here for some time, their lifeless eyes staring into nothingness.
The realization hit you like a sledgehammer. You were trapped in a Wendigo's cave, your own fate hanging precariously above you. Your heart pounded, and terror coursed through your veins as you fought to remain as still and silent as possible, praying that the creature responsible for this nightmare wouldn't return anytime soon.
As you pored over the Winchester brothers' father's journal, your suspicions honed in on the Wendigo as the likely culprit behind the recent disappearances. Still, you couldn't help but question the accuracy of your deduction. While it was true that the brothers had successfully hunted down one of these creatures before, encountering a Wendigo in Colorado felt like a rare occurrence, far from their usual hunting grounds.
There was no room for doubt now, but finding yourself on the potential victim list hardly allowed you to relish your accurate suspicions.
Your heart raced in your chest, its thunderous beats resonating in your ears like a drumroll of dread. The blood surged to your face, turning it into a stifling mask of heat and anxiety. What made it all the more unbearable was the uncertainty, not knowing how long you'd been hanging there or when the fiendish creature might return to its lair.
Straining your ears, you listened intently for any hint of the creature's reappearance, but the stifling silence held sway.
Then, a faint yet unmistakable sound reached your ears—a distant shuffle, accompanied by muffled voices. Hope surged within you as you recognized the voices. It was Sam and Dean.
Tears welled up in your eyes as their voices drew nearer, and you struggled to rein in the overwhelming rush of relief and joy. Their flashlights cast wavering beams that danced eerily on the cave walls as they advanced cautiously.
“Y/N?” Sam's voice reverberated through the cave, laced with concern.
You managed a weak response, your voice trembling with emotion. “Here!”
Their flashlights swept over you, illuminating your precarious predicament. A mixture of shock and unwavering determination twisted their faces as they took in the horrifying scene before them.
A wave of relief washed over you like a soothing tide as Sam and Dean hurried to your side. Sam swiftly sized up the situation, his nible fingers skillfully working to free you from your bindings. With each passing moment, the suffocating grip of fear and captivity began to loosen its hold.
Dean, standing guard with unwavering vigilance, maintained a watchful eye on the cave's entrance, ensuring that the Wendigo wouldn't return to catch you in a vulnerable moment. His weapon remained poised and ready
As Sam's efforts finally set you free, you were lowered gently to the cave floor. Weak and disoriented, you clung to him, finding solace in the reassuring presence of your friends amidst the foreboding darkness that had held you captive.
With you safely on the cave floor, Sam turned his attention to your well-being, his concern etched on his face. “Y/N, are you okay? Can you stand?”
You nodded weakly, your voice quivering from a mixture of exhaustion and unease. “I think so.”
In response, Dean allowed himself a small sigh of relief, his furrowed brow smoothing out somewhat. He turned his attention back to you, his worry palpable. “Can you fill us in, Y/N? We all went to bed in the motel room, and now you're hanging in this cave. What the heck happened?”
Balancing yourself with Sam's support, you drew in a steadying breath to calm your frazzled nerves. “I don't know, Dean,” you confessed, your voice laced with a mixture of fear and frustration. “Your snoring was so deafening that I was on the brink of committing a crime. I had to escape the room for some respite, and then... Then I woke up here, like this, with no idea how I ended up in this nightmare.”
The haunting memory of that heart-stopping moment lingered in the air, causing your eyes to brim with tears once more. It was at this very moment that the full weight of the situation began to sink in—what might have befallen you, the chilling possibility of ending up like the lifeless body you had been hanging beside just moments ago.
As you gazed upon the concerned expressions of the men, the urge to reassure them that you were alright welled up within you. You only needed a little time to collect yourself. However, something beyond their shoulders seized your attention with a grip far stronger.
Your eyes widened in sheer terror, and your heart raced, momentarily clouding your thoughts with a hazy fog of panic. It took you a precious moment to summon the words, but finally, your voice found a way past your constricted vocal cords. “D-Dean!” you exclaimed with a raised voice, your trembling finger pointing emphatically toward the gaping maw of the cave entrance.
Your panicked cry pierced the cave's silence, and the Winchester brothers pivoted toward the cave entrance, their expressions shifting from concern to sheer determination.
Before your eyes, the Wendigo emerged from the shadows, its grotesque form illuminated by the flickering light of Sam and Dean's flashlights. The monster snarled, a chilling, otherworldly sound that sent shivers down your spine.
Sam and Dean wasted no time. With a practiced synchronicity born from years of hunting, they unleashed a torrent of fire upon the creature. Flames danced and crackled in the cave's depths, casting unnatural, shifting shadows.
The Wendigo roared in agony as the flames consumed it, its monstrous form writhing in torment. The stench of burning flesh and the creature's wails filled the cave, creating a nightmarish tableau of desperation.
You wanted to do something, to help the Winchesters in some way, but fear paralyzed you. You'd encountered countless demons, monsters, and shapeshifters in the past, but facing this particular breed of creature was an entirely unprecedented experience for you.
As the Wendigo was consumed by the flames, its otherworldly shrieks reached a deafening crescendo before being abruptly silenced. The once-terrifying monster was now nothing more than a pile of smoldering ashes, its threat extinguished by the relentless fire.
Sam and Dean turned to you, their expressions now radiant with a mixture of exhaustion and relief. Sam extended a hand toward you, his eyes filled with understanding. “Come on, Y/N, let's get out of here.”
You nodded, your throat still tight with the remnants of fear, and took Sam's hand as he helped you to your feet. Dean followed, his grip firm on your shoulder, offering silent support.
The three of you made your way out of the cave, stepping back into the cool night air of the Colorado woods. The moon cast a pale, comforting glow upon the landscape, a stark contrast to the horrors you had just faced.
As you reached the Impala parked nearby the forest, Dean spoke, his voice tinged with weariness. “We'll head back to the motel, Y/N. You need some rest.”
Sam nodded in agreement as he opened the car door for you. “And a hot shower wouldn't hurt either.”
You climbed into the car, the leather seats offering a welcome comfort. Dean took the driver's seat, and Sam settled in beside you.
The engine roared to life, and as the Impala rumbled down the winding forest road, Sam turned to you with a small, reassuring smile. “You did great back there, Y/N. We've got your back.”
The only source of comfort during this terrible ordeal was Dean's jacket, now worn and stained. It still clung to your shoulders, providing a bit of solace. You folded your arms across your chest, embracing the jacket's familiar warmth as if it was a security blanket. Taking a deep breath, you tried to reassure yourself that the nightmare was over and you were now safe.
Recent events had shattered your belief in your own fearlessness, exposing the simple truth that you had a long way to go before you could match Sam and Dean's hunting prowess. Yet, uncertainty gnawed at you, making you question whether you were truly prepared to reach their level of expertise.
Tumblr media
Weeks drifted by, and the memories of the Wendigo's cave continued to haunt your every waking moment. Anxiety had taken root deep within you, coiling around your thoughts like a relentless serpent. To cope, you found solace in staying as close to Dean Winchester as possible, as if his presence alone could shield you from the lingering horrors.
However, this newfound need for constant presence began to grate on Dean's nerves. He valued his personal space and independence, and your persistent closeness was beginning to wear on him.
One evening, as you shadowed his every move in the bunker, Dean couldn't help but voice his frustration. “Y/N,” he began, his tone laced with irritation, “I appreciate you being cautious, but you don't have to be glued to my side every second.”
Your eyes widened, and you stammered a response, “I-I'm just trying to be safe, Dean. You know, in case something happens again.”
Dean sighed, his irritation softening into understanding as he looked at you. He leaned in closer, his voice gentle but firm. “Y/N, I know you're scared, and it's okay to be cautious. But you have to remember, we're hunters. Our lives are filled with risks, and we've faced worse than that Wendigo together.”
He continued, his eyes locking onto yours, “You're safe now. I won't let anything happen to you, but you also have to take care of yourself. Being a hunter means facing fear head-on, and sometimes that means standing on your own two feet.”
You nodded slowly, the weight of his words sinking in. Dean was right; you couldn't let fear rule your life forever.
With Dean's words echoing in your mind, you began to make a conscious effort to rely on yourself more. There were moments when you found the courage to try out on your own, even if it was just for a short while, to confront the remnants of your fear. Gradually, you felt a glimmer of your old, independent self resurfacing.
But there were still times when the weight of anxiety bore down on you, and in those moments, you sought solace in Dean's presence. You found comfort in his unwavering support and understanding. He noticed your struggles and approached them with patience and acceptance.
Instead of pushing you away when you clung to him, Dean embraced your need for reassurance. He let you lean on him when the anxiety became overwhelming, understanding that healing was a gradual process. Whether it was a reassuring word, a comforting touch, or simply his silent presence, Dean was there for you.
You both found a balance. You were getting better at facing your fears, and Dean was getting better at being there when you needed support.

I’ve always had a hard time letting people into my life. Introducing them to the real me, the darker side of me that I hide behind a bubbly facade. The childhood that shaped me, something that very few people know about. When I was little there was no one to protect me from the things that I had to live through, the nightmarish situations that I still relive too often in my sleep. In adulthood, I’ve changed the narrative. I’ve become the protector, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to help someone else. Save someone else. Especially those that I love and hold close to my heart.
Sam and Dean have always held a special place in my life. Ever since I met them, on a hunt many years ago. They’d taken me under their wing, Sam willingly, Dean reluctantly. I knew nothing of the supernatural until I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and become the next helpless victim of a nest of vampires. That was until Sam and Dean showed up, just in time.
They knew I didn’t have a great childhood, I’d clued them into that much. However, I would never let them in entirely. It was too much, I didn’t want them to think of me any differently. I’ve seen the way Dean already looks at me after hunts, the annoyance that comes over him when things don’t go the way he wanted. I see the concern that washes over Sam, when I come close to being injured, or when I walk away with cuts and bruises. I don’t need their pity, they don’t need that burden.
Through everything over the years, I began to love them more than I thought possible. Sam like a brother. Dean like an annoying asshole, but also my best friend that I loved with all of my heart, not that I would ever tell him. I couldn’t, he would never feel the same way I was sure of it.
So when I saw that demon smirk and point a gun directly towards Dean’s head, I never hesitated to throw myself onto him and shove him to the ground. My body blocking the path of the bullet, giving Sam enough time to finish the exorcism, the black cloud erupting from the helpless man and fleeing the room.
“What the hell, Y/N. You shouldn’t have done that!” Dean yells, anger etching its way across his face, the concern only evident from the tone of his voice. His eyes searching mine for any sign of pain.
“He was going to kill You Dean.” I grovel, pushing myself off of him, the adrenaline still pumping through my veins. Dean scowls, his hand coming up to his face to wipe some sweat from his brow.
“So what? You were going to sacrifice yourself for me? How much of an idiot are you?”
I roll my eyes at him, pushing off my thighs to stand from the squatting position I had moved into. It wasn’t until I stood fully upright and began to stretch my limbs that the searing pain caught up to me. I press my hand to my abdomen instinctively, trying to dull the pain.
“I’m not an idiot De-“ I stop mid sentence as I bring my hand up to eye level. Red. Dripping , red blood, covers the entirety of my fingers. My eyes dart up from my hand, locking with Sam’s from across the room. He’s staring back at me, shock etched across his face, but beginning to walk towards me.
“That’s debatable- oh my god Y/N, fuck.” Dean starts, his tone changing halfway through his lecture. He takes the two steps necessary to get to me, taking his flannel off in the process. I feel his hands grip my body, one going to my back, the other balling his flannel up and pressing it tightly against the wound in my abdomen.
“Sam, you’ve gotta help me.” Dean pleads, his eyes never leaving my face.
My body starts to feel numb, the adrenaline wearing off and searing pain roaring through every nerve ending in my body. I feel my legs collapse beneath me, Dean quickly compensating for my lack of lower body strength, by pulling me into his embrace.
I laugh bitterly, coughing and choking on what I assume is blood making its way through my lungs and out of my throat.
“If this is how I go De, it’s worth it. I promise you.” I whisper, my eyes locking with his vivid green ones. His eyes. I’d never allowed myself to stare into his eyes for this long, the deep green is enchanting. Pulling me in, the longer I look. I barely even notice my tears beginning to fall, I’m too focused on the way his eyes are beginning to water as he stares back at me.
I can see his lips moving, feel the way he’s shaking me gently, his hand cupping my face. Sam is right next to me too, I feel the floor pressing into my body as they lower me to the ground, in an attempt to slow the bleeding and apply more pressure. None of that matters now. Nothing matters now, my vision is blurring. My eyelids are heavy, so heavy.
“Hey!” Dean’s firm voice breaks through my haze, his hand lightly slapping my face, “don’t do that, Y/N. Don’t close your eyes. You don’t get to die on me, you hear me sweetheart?” I blink rapidly, trying to clear my field of vision. I momentarily succeed, my eyes locking with his again. I can see the absolute panic engraved into every ounce of this man’s face, he’s moving me now. My head falls forward as he places an arm under my shoulders, the other under my knees. He tucks my head against his chest with his chin, pressing a kiss to my sweat soaked hairline. I continue to fight the wave of exhaustion sweeping over me, blinking my eyes trying to keep them open. The last thing I see is Dean, looking down at me pleading for me to stay with him. But slowly, ever so slowly, my eyes fall closed and the world around me goes black
-
Agony.
This must be hell, the amount of pain that I’m in, the only explanation is hell.
A low groan escapes my lips, every inch of my skin is on fire. Muscles and nerves that I didn’t know I had are screaming out in protest as I try to take a full breath. I manage to inhale, immediately turning into a coughing fit as I choke on the air entering my lungs.
“Easy. Slow breaths, sweetheart.” A hand comes to rest on the crown of my head, stroking my hair gently. The touch startling me, causing me to panic and try to brush away the touch.
“Shhhh, it’s okay.” His voice rushes over my senses, calming me, reassuring me.
I force myself to open my eyes, unsure what to expect.
“Dean?” I whisper, finally realizing that he’s here in-front of me. “Am I dead?” My voice barely functioning, my throat dry and hoarse.
“It’s me sweetheart. You’re not dead. I told you I wasn’t going to let you go.” He smiles slightly, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. He holds a cup up to my lips, letting me take small sips, his fingers never leaving my skin.
“I must be dead, the Dean I know is never this nice to me.” I whisper, a small laugh escaping me, which I immediately regret. Relief floods over deans face, the crease in his brow lessens, a small smile reaches his eyes this time.
“That’s not true, idiot.” He says, pressing a kiss to my knuckles.
“That’s more like it, bitch.” I say, squeezing his hand back.
-
The next few weeks pass slowly, I’m never alone for more than five minutes. The boys take turns, keeping me company, changing my bandages, helping me shower, and just all around waiting on me hand and foot. Dean spends every night on the couch, that he had dragged into my room in the bunker. I don’t object, too weak and tired to even dare. I spend a lot of time sleeping, nightmares plaguing my every attempt at resting.
Tonight is one of those nights, I’ve already awoken from a nightmare. Now I lay on my side, gazing at Dean sitting on the couch. His fingers hovering over the keyboard on his laptop, researching some creature that he has refused to tell me about. Any time I have asked, it starts an argument about how the only thing I need to think about right now is recovering.
“I can feel you staring.” He smirks, bringing his eyes to meet my own, the corners of his mouth turning into a smile. He seems older, worry is etched deeper into his face, his eyes not nearly as bright as they used to be. The dark circles under his eyes, accentuated by the terrible late night lighting of my room.
“I can’t help it, you’re just so annoying I can’t not stare.” I mumble, gently pushing myself up on my elbow. Trying to conceal the wince that follows this slight movement.
Dean chuckles, closing his laptop and turning his body to face me.
“Y/N, we need to talk about what happened back there.” He stares, his brow furrowing again. So many emotions sweep across his face at once, I cant read him.
“You can’t do that again. You cant throw yourself into harms way to save me. I couldn’t live with myself if anything happened to you. What am I saying? Something did happen to you. I already have a hard time looking at you, knowing you almost died to save me. I love you too much, to let you die for me.” He wrings his hands as he speaks, his eyes moving away from mine and focusing on the wooden floor boards beneath his feet.
A silence falls between us for a few moments, his words hanging heavy in the air. My head spinning at his words, I love you too much. Dean Winchester loves me.
“Dean, I don’t think you understand me nearly as well as you think you do. There is nothing you can say or do that would stop me from taking a bullet for you again. I will always do everything in my power to protect you. Protect you in the way that I never had. You would do it for me De, you gotta let me do it for you too.” His eyes are trained on me again, red rimmed and watery. He swipes at them with his fingers, clearing his throat and maintaining eye contact with me once more.
I slide my feet towards the edge of the bed, intent upon going to sit near to him. He stops me with a look and a few mumbled words about how I better not move my ass from my spot or else.
I huff, patting the bed next to me.
“C’mere then, Winchester.” I say, watching his every move as he crosses the distance of the bedroom to sit by my side.
“De-“I rest my head on his shoulder, taking a deep breath and steeling my nerves. He reaches over and intertwines our fingers, his thumb tracing a pattern into the back of my hand. “I love you too, more than I thought possible. I’ll always do anything I can to save you. On this side of hell and the next.”

A back-and-forth motion rubs against my knee but my eyes are down at the carpeted floors. Someone got me to my motel room.
I blink, my eyes tracing the movement to a familiar veiny hand. He’s kneeled in front of me, patiently waiting for me. His motion on my knee doesn’t stop as he smiles at me sadly, “Hey,” he says.
“Hi,” I answer weakly, watching his face for any changes. Carefully he raises his free hand to my hand, giving me time to back away. He covers my clutched hand, I hadn’t realized I was forming tight fists. He gently pries my fingers open revealing little alcohol packets. That’s the light thing I was handed to clean off the specks of blood…blood from—
“Hey, you’re okay,” Dean says softly, pulling me back to the present. He takes the packets from my hands, opening one carefully but before he moves to do anything he asks, “Can I?”
I nod, not trusting my voice. I know I wasn’t supposed to allow him our small touches but that can all be screwed right now. I want a hug and I want to hide under the covers until it all passes, as childish as it sounds. “Words,” he reminds. He had his nailbed-biting habits I had the habit of shutting down and he knew that well enough to try and push me out of it, even if it meant just answering verbally. “Yes, please,” I say just barely above a whisper.
The motion on my knee stops and with that same hand, he reaches up slowly to cradle my head, pushing some of my hair back. He gets closer to my face and with the alcohol pad he lightly rubs off a spec on my cheek, his eyes focused there. I knew what he was thinking, I could see the thoughts and questions swirling in his eyes. “You can ask,” I say, it’s better to get it over now. He doesn’t say anything for a beat as he cleans a couple of spots on my face, “Not my place too,” he answers.
He lets go of me, pushing off the balls of his feet, and standing up, he collects the scraps and walks to the other side of my small motel room to discard them.
I want to sink into myself, “You’re upset with me,” I tell him, knowing I'm right by his body language and just overall behavior. Again he doesn’t answer but I can see the tension in his shoulders and I know he’s holding back. I kick off my shoes, scooting back on the bed until my back hits the headboard. I bring my knees to my chest and wrap my arms around me as he fidgets with something on the counter.
He turns around swiftly but doesn’t move towards me, “Why didn–” he cuts himself off, running a hand down his face. “I’m sorry,” I say softly.
He shakes his head, “No, you got nothin’ to apologize for sweetheart I–”
“You can say it. Let’s just talk about this now, I don’t like it when you’re upset at me,” I admit though I’m sure he already knew. He sighs, looking away, “I’m not upset at you.”
“You aren’t?” I ask, surprised.
“No. I’m mad I didn’t know,” he steps closer until he reaches the bed, “I should’ve known.”
I pat the spot next to me, allowing him to get closer so we could sit comfortably like old times, “We were young,” I reasoned. He takes the spot next to me, the bed dipping as he does, “I have two years on you,” he counters. I roll my eyes, he always tries to play that card. “Well, I was very good at hiding it, had to be. Plus…you heard what I said about B/N.”
He groans, frustrated, his head leaning back on the headboard, “That doesn’t make me feel better. Why didn’t you tell me? I could’ve helped.”
“You had your own things to worry about. We didn’t see each other very often then either, we hung out more after he died and by then it was no longer an issue,” I explain. But he doesn’t respond. “I’m quite resilient you know. Not much can really kill me,” I add, trying to lighten the mood. His head snaps to me, “That doesn’t make it better. You were still…”
“It’s okay,” I say, focusing my eyes on the wall across the room. “It’s not,” he replies, “He died when you were 15, you had 3 years of that.” I’m almost surprised he remembered the exact time like that, though maybe he had been thinking about it and started to calculate. I don’t say anything for I have nothing to say at all, I don’t talk about it and I’ve tried to forget it. “I shoulda known,” he repeats. I turn my head to look at him being met with his side profile, his eyebrows scrunched together and his jaw tense, he was beating himself up over something he couldn’t control. “I didn’t expect you to help me or save me you know, or anyone for that matter. Just hanging out with you and Sammy was enough.”
His jaw seems to twitch, “I saw some bruises before, but you said it was from a hunt you helped your Dad with. You're a lousy liar so I should’ve known.”
“Dean,” I say firmly,  touching his shoulder. He meets my eyes, his green eyes are cold, “Trust me when I say it wasn’t your fault, it was no one’s fault. It just happened. And it’s over now, has been for a while.”
He swallows roughly, his Addams apple bobbing, and I know he doesn’t believe me, “It’s your Dad’s fault, he’s a prick. Don’t matter if he was grieving or not.”
I frown, remove my hand from his arm, and focus my attention back on the wall. I can feel his gaze burning into the side of my face, “Don’t tell me you actually feel bad for him…” he says but I don't answer, “You don’t blame him?” he asks confused, leaning forward in an attempt to catch my eyes. I shrug, shrinking further into myself in an attempt to make myself smaller, “I don–I don’t know. He wasn’t always like that…he just….Mom was gone so…” I exhale a shaky breath, “I know it was wrong, that he shouldn’t have been doing that. I know that. It’s not like I forgive him or anything, I mean he hurt my brother—”
“And you,” Dean cuts me off to add.
“Yeah…and I know there are healthier ways of coping, I don’t condone his actions and I couldn’t imagine how anyone could do that to their kids but Mom was gone and…”
“There is no ‘but’ and you know that. Your explanation isn't going anywhere ‘cause there’s no excuse for that,” he interjects firmly. I know he’s right, but it doesn’t feel right to believe or say and I don’t know why. “He was only mean when he was drunk, otherwise he was quiet or gone,” I try to reason but the words feel wrong as they leave my mouth. “Not an excuse,” he counters.
“I know,” I mumble, “But! It started as an accident!” I say looking at Dean, “And it was necessary. He was on a hunt by himself and we knew he would be back soon but it was late so me and B/N made dinner together, we ate and saved some for him. B/N ended up falling asleep early, his football practice totally knocked him out, so I stayed up and waited at the kitchen table to make sure Dad got home okay. When he finally did get home he was very drunk and smelt like alcohol, I helped him and he was babbling about Mom. He pushed me off of him, ‘said he could do it himself so I backed off a little.
Then he was trying to get to the fridge for another beer but I got in his way cause I knew he had too much and should have water instead, he called me some mean names that I don’t wish to repeat. I’m very stubborn so I didn’t move and he hit me, it was just a slap though. But I have this whole defense mechanism and if my body thinks it’s in true danger then my powers will start working to defend me without really my control, and it’s very hard to shut off. So things started to rattle, and a picture frame on the mantel of Mom broke and that really made him upset so he hit me again this time harder and I actually passed out. But that’s okay! cause nothing else broke and I could’ve really hurt someone or if it got too out of control then I could’ve gotten the attention of hunters.”
I stop my rambling of the story, watching Dean’s face to see if he finally understood. But his eyes were filled with so much sadness and his face dropped with sympathy, a frown on his lips. “What?” I ask confused, didn’t he get it now? He doesn’t answer, instead, he wraps his arms around me, bringing me into his chest. I shift my legs so I can hug him back comfortably, but I hold onto his arms more confused than anything. “Wasn’t necessary,” he says, his chin on my head. I open my mouth to say something else, to say he’s wrong but it hits me then. I was being an idiot, a total fool.
If someone told me that story I would feel bad for them and say they didn’t deserve that, they did nothing wrong in the first place. But it wasn’t someone else’s story, it was mine, and somehow that made it different. Right?
It shouldn’t. I know it shouldn’t, so why do I feel this way? I’m not normally like this. “Wasn’t your fault. You were a kid and you were trying to help, he’s an asshole and shouldn’t have done any of it,” Dean says softly.
Tears run down my cheek. I didn’t like his Dad because he didn’t treat them well so why was I making excuses for my Dad? Was it because of Mom? She loved him so wholly but still would have despised what he became, did he know that? Did that only make him feel worse?
And just because he wasn’t always mean to us doesn’t mean it was okay. Because it was more than being mean, I know that.
I know by morning I’ll be in a better mood. I’ll have a different perspective on things that I won’t understand for a while, I’m self-aware enough to know that too. But it will be okay because things always turn out okay, they always get better. Tomorrow will always be a new day and the sun will shine brighter.
I pull away from Dean just far enough to look at him, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, it was nothin’ against you.”
He gently wipes away a tear falling down my cheek, “Stop apologizing.”
I open my mouth to apologize for apologizing but seeing the issue there I lean my head into his chest again. We stay there silently for a while and I try to focus on the soft rise and fall of his chest instead of my mind. He rubs a hand up and down my back, and my shoulders drop. It’s been a long day with a lot of emotions and I was tired. “He can’t hurt you anymore. ‘Won’t let anyone hurt you,” he whispers just barely audible. But my eyes were fluttering shut, growing heavy so maybe I imagined it and the soft press of his lips to my crown.
Tomorrow will be better, I remind myself.

I’ve had this in my drafts for a while, so why not post it. <3
Pudgy Angel
Chubby!Dean x Fem!reader
Summary: You try to comfort Dean, who’s insecure because he put on a little weight.
Warnings: Insecurity, light smut at the end, dry humping
“De, we’re all alone in the motel, I want you, I need you.”
You reached for him and he turned to look at you.
“Y/N I’m not in shape, I look like Elvis right before he fucking died.”
“Aww baby but I love it, I know you put on a little weight, but I like it better. Also you don’t look like Elvis, so shut your trap.”
Dean huffed and walked around the motel room. Sam had left with a lady he had met in a cafe earlier that day, so you and Dean had the motel to yourselves.
“Y/N, don’t lie to me. Sam’s around walking around looking like a Greek god, eating his salads, and I’m a short, fat, bastard that eats greasy burgers and drinks beer all day.”
His harsh words made you cringe.
“Dean, stop. You’re tall, it’s not your fault Sam’s a Sasquatch! Also, you’re literally perfect! Your body is what people dream of. I don’t know how you don’t see how incredibly hot you are.”
Dean raised his brow quickly and let out a smirk. He walked over to the couch, beer in his hand, and sat down. His stomach formed rolls in his skin and he looked like a pudgy Angel.
He quickly pulled his shirt forward to hide his stomach, and you frowned.
“De, don’t do that.” You said, glaring at him.
You sat down on the couch, and laid your head on his lap. He tensed up and you could tell he was trying to suck in his stomach so it wouldn’t touch your head, laying perfectly on his lap.
Everything he did pissed you off, but this, this was crossing the line. You turned your head, towards his stomach, and buried your face in it. Warm and happy, you sighed in content.
“Y/N, quit it.”
“But you’re so cuddly! So warm.” You mumbled, voice muffled by his body.
You let out a moan, living in his essence. While you were enjoying your moment of relaxation, Dean was flustered, and incredibly annoyed.
“You know what, fine. You want me? You have me.”
He moved you off of his lap and pulled you onto his lap so your hips were basically touching.
You smiled and the tugged the short hair on the back of his head, making his let out a groan.
“Don’t tease, just fucking kiss me Y/N”
You giggled and pressed your lips to his, until your nose hurt from being pressed into his for so long.
You moved from his lips and down his neck, kissing and sucking till he was practically writhing under you.
To ease the ache in your core, you began grinding your hips over his almost painful bulge. You began to unbutton his jeans, and he whimpered against your neck.
You began to stroke him, agonizingly slow, and Deans eyes rolled back in his head.
“God I should be insecure more often, if it means we get to do this.” He chuckled out.
Feel free to leave requests! <3

Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You)
masterlist
summary: dean helps you up your flirting game, but there’s really only one set of eyes you want on you.
paring: dean winchester x female reader
rating: R for language
word count: 2.7k
warnings: language, implied sex/nudity, strands of hair falls on reader’s face

music: showed me (how i fell in love with you) by madison beer — i was listening to this song and kept imagining dean, idk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean always had incredible luck with women. He could go into a bar crowded with guys and walk out with the only woman—the bartender who’d been dodging men all night.
You, on the other hand, could go into that same bar and end up going back to the motel alone. It bothered you; what in the hell were you doing wrong?
So, you did the unthinkable—you asked Dean to help you get better at flirting.
That’s how you ended up here at the bar with Dean; he was showing you how to play pool. You had protested the idea of him “teaching you” something you already knew, but he claimed it was important.
“You’re standing wrong,” he told you when you were about to break.
“Uh, no I’m not?”
“If you’re trying to win the game, you’re doing great. If you’re trying to get your opponent to fuck you, you’re failing miserably.”
“Thanks,” you grumbled.
“Hey, you were the one who asked me for help!” He shrugged. “If you want to back out now-”
“No, I don’t want to back out,” you sighed. “I’m fucking desperate at this point.”
“So, are you gonna do what I say, then?” he asked, folding his arms over his chest.
“Yeah,” you mumbled. “How am I supposed to stand?”
He walked up behind you and put his hands on your hips.
“Stick your butt out a little,” he instructed and you did as he asked. “Alright, now when you bend over,” he moved his hands up and forward, resting them on your lower chest, “you’ll want to point your breasts in the direction of the person you want to attract.”
“What if he’s standing behind me?” you asked.
“Then his eyes are gonna be glued to your ass,” he replied, not getting the message. “If he’s standing behind you then focus more on the actual game, and less on where you’re pointing your boobs. Trust me, though, if he’s standing in front of you, he’s gonna be trying to see down your shirt, now…” he walked back around to the other side of the table. “Bend over, and before you hit the ball, make eye contact with him.”
“Okay…” You bent down and lined up your shot before looking up and into Dean’s eyes.
“Perfect! If you look at him kinda like through your eyelashes, there’s exactly one thing that’s suddenly stuck front and center in his mind.”
“And this works on…all guys?” you asked, still looking at him through your lashes.
“If he was standing where I am and didn’t want to fuck you, he’s either related to you or just not into chicks.”
“Good to know,” you mumbled, mostly to yourself. You were about to start the game but a few strands of hair fell on your face.
“Don’t move,” Dean said before he hurried back to where he had been before and tucked the hair behind your ear for you. “Now, since he’s already thinking about that one thing, is that something you want him to think about even more?”
“Um, yeah,” you said quietly.
“Alright, pout your lips,” he instructed. He moved his hand down from your ear and tugged your lip out a bit. “Perfect, that’s gonna draw his attention to your lips.”
“So, now I start actually playing the game?” you asked, not sure if he had any more pointers for you.
“If you want. Or we can go over to the bar where there are three different guys that have been eyeing you the past ten minutes.”
“Really?” you stood up straight, whipping your head around. You saw the guys he was talking about and they all quickly looked down at the drinks in front of them. “Let’s go to the bar, then.”
“So, now that you know all those guys are interested,” Dean said as you both took your seats at the bar, several stools away from the other people already there, “you need to pick one.”
“Isn’t that the easy part?” you laughed a little.
“Oh no, most guys are monsters.” Dean shook his head, motioning the bartender over with his hand. “What’re you drinking?” he asked, looking at you.
“Just a beer’s fine,” you said, a little confused. Usually when you, Sam, and Dean went out drinking you each ordered your own drinks. Dean took initiative and ordered two beers. “And I know before taking someone back to my room I have to do the usual tests; holy water, iron, and silver.”
“Not those kinda monsters, sweetheart,” Dean said. “The guy on the far right has a little motor home keychain attached to his keys. Given the fact there’s a dilapidated RV parked outside that looks like a serial killer’s lair, I’d say he’s a creep.”
“Well, what about the guy in the middle?” you asked.
“I heard him talking with someone on the phone in the bathroom earlier about the fact his ex-girlfriend doesn’t know she got the clap from him.”
“Dear lord,” you groaned, making a disgusted face. “What’s wrong with the guy on the left?”
“Well, uh…” Dean started, looking at the man you were talking about and trying to find something wrong with him. “Nothing. If he comes over here, I’d say it’s worth a shot.”
“Shouldn’t I go and talk to him?” you asked.
“Oh no! No, no, no! Bar like this, pretty girl like you; he’ll think you’re a hooker.”
“Oh.”
“I mean, unless you wanna make a couple hundred bucks tonight?” he teased, earning a smack to his upper arm. “I’ll take that as a no,” he laughed.
“I’d make at least four-hundred,” you scoffed.
“Look, you’re cute and sweet and guys tend to turn their heads when you walk by them. Now, for your next lesson, take a look around the bar and tell me how many women you see.”
You looked around, counting in your head. “Five, including me and the bartender,” you said.
“And how many guys?”
“I’d say like twenty at least?” you estimated.
“Exactly,” he said. “See, at least half of those guys have their eyes on you. When we were playing pool earlier I guarantee you they’d have done anything to be where I was.”
“So…what’s your point?”
“You’re way above any of these guys’ leagues.” He shrugged. “Which is okay, but you need to know that you’re too good for them, just a fact. They’re spending their Wednesday night in a bar looking for a hookup, you came here to get a drink with your friend. So, like I said, you are in fact way out of their leagues.”
“You really think so?”
“Please tell me you’re joking,” he laughed a little then looked at you and realized you were serious. “Oh dear god, yes! Not only are you fucking gorgeous, you’re smart, funny and a total badass! I mean you killed two vampires this morning!”
“Thanks, Dean.” You smiled.
“Of course,” he replied. “Now, before we head back to the motel is there anything else? You know how to kiss someone, right?”
“Ha, ha!” You smiled sarcastically. “I know how to kiss, Dean. But, I actually do have a question.”
“Shoot!”
“What about…the friend zone?”
“You wanna know how to friend zone a guy?” He furrowed his brows.
“No, how do I get out of the friend zone?”
“Oh.” He nodded. “That’s, um, I’m actually not sure. And I didn’t think you had friends?”
“Again, very funny Dean,” you laughed somewhat sarcastically. “What if I’m good friends with a guy and I really like him, but I’m scared to tell him because I don’t want to lose the friendship?”
“Look, Sam loves you but he doesn’t see you…that way,” he said.
“It’s not Sam, dumbass,” you said. “I have plenty of friends! And there’s this one friend, who’s a guy that I really like. I don’t think he feels the same way, but it’s driving me absolutely crazy that I can’t just tell him.”
“I, uh, I don’t know. I mean, I always think the guy has more to lose if that situation goes south, cause he’ll always be attracted to the girl but she might…get bored with him.”
“But what if the guy doesn’t like me back? What if I tell him and he says ‘gross, you’re like a sister to me’?”
“If he does see you as a sister, he’s not gonna say ‘gross’ when you tell him how you feel?”
“How do you know?”
“Cause I know Sam and he’d be lucky to have a girl like you.”
“It’s not Sam, you moron!” you exclaimed, a little louder than intended.
“…Garth?”
“What if the guy I really like is also really dumb?” you asked.
“I mean, I wouldn’t say Garth is dumb…”
“Oh my god,” you groaned. “Yeah, never mind.” You put your face in your hands for a moment before starting to drink the beer Dean had ordered for you. He watched you with furrowed brows and it felt like an eternity (really it was about sixty seconds) before he suddenly broke the silence.
“Holy shit!” he exclaimed. “Is it…me?”
“I’m sorry,” you said, looking over at him. “I didn’t plan on letting that slip tonight, I swear.”
“But, it is me? You like me?” Dean asked, you nodded. “Oh my fucking god!”
You couldn’t tell if he was happy and you were beginning to really worry.
“I’m sorry,” you said quietly. You turned on your chair to leave but he gripped your upper arm and kept you in place.
“No, don’t—fuck! I feel like I just won the fucking lottery and I just need a second to catch up.”
“Wait, you’re happy? You…You like me too?”
“Oh yeah,” he nodded, “I may be stupid but I’m not an idiot.”
“Well…” you teased.
He rolled his eyes, still smiling; “Just let me kiss you, already,” Dean muttered. He put his hands on your cheeks, stood up off his chair, leaned toward you, and kissed you deeply. His hands moved to your shoulders then down to your lower back as you put your hands on his cheeks.
“Wait,” you mumbled, pulling back slightly.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, you’re incredible! I’m just now realizing how many creepy guys are staring at me.”
“Told ya,” he said, taking a look around the bar.
“Could we, maybe…head to your motel room?” you asked somewhat nervously.
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“Hundred percent.” You nodded vigorously, looking at his lips then up and into his bright green eyes. “Unless…you don’t want to?”
“Oh I definitely want to, I’ve wanted to since Sam and I picked you up after he left Stanford,” he said.
“And you didn’t say anything? Dean, it’s been like ten years?” You furrowed your brows then noticed he actually seemed a little embarrassed. “For the record, I’ve wanted to kiss you for about twelve.” His eyes widened.
“What? Wow, I guess we’re both a little stupid,” he laughed a little before leaning in for another kiss.
“Excuse me, Winchester?” You quirked a brow, looking at him.
“I mean, you’re smart, so smart,” he rambled a little. “And sexy, so fucking sexy.” He kissed you and you kissed him back, smiling against his mouth. “Let’s get the hell outta here, sweetheart.”
“Mmh, just another minute,” you mumbled, not wanting to stop kissing him.
He pulled away after a moment, both of you smiling.
“My god you’re beautiful.” He smiled, putting a hand on your cheek.
You hopped off the stool but stayed looking into his eyes; “You’re so fuckin’ hot, Dean Winchester,” you mumbled and kissed him again, pulling him down by the collar of his jacket.
He pulled out his wallet and was about to pay for both drinks but you stopped him.
“What’s wrong?”
“If you pay for my drink then this would count as our first date,” you said.
“Huh, I didn’t think of it like that,” he replied. “Alright, we each pay for our own drinks.”
“Exactly.” You nodded and took out your own wallet, each of you leaving a ten on the counter. “Now, shall we go to your motel room?”
“I’m sharing a room with Sammy,” he said.
“My motel room it is.” You pulled him down again and kissed him.
“Lead the way.”
**
You woke up to the sound of Dean snoring lightly behind you and a smile formed on your lips as you recalled what had happened only a few hours ago. You felt Dean’s arm snake around your waist and he pulled you closer to him.
You assumed he was awake now and you turned to kiss him but he was actually still snoring. The thought that he wanted you closer to him even when he was sleeping made your smile deepen.
A wave of calmness washed over you, followed by an unnerving idea; how serious was Dean when he said he liked you?
Did he think this was a one-and-done situation? Were he and Sam just gonna drive off in that beautiful Impala and leave you to start hunting alone?
You hadn’t hunted alone since re-connecting with the Winchesters back in ‘05. Before that you’d been hunting alone or with Dean while Sam was in college. Before that you’d hunted with your dad, who occasionally worked with John.
You honestly didn’t really remember the first time you met Dean. You were both just kids and you blocked out a lot of your childhood due to the fact you’d been hunting your whole life. (It was actually a similar story to Dean’s—after a monster killed your mom, your dad became obsessed with hunting and seemed to forget he was a father with a four-year-old in the back seat of his pickup truck.)
What you did remember was the first time hunting alone with Dean. You were twenty-two and (finally) not hunting with your dad when you ran into Dean who was also hunting alone. He had recently had some kind of falling out with Sam, who had been at Stanford a couple years already. You remembered how Dean reacted to the fact you were hunting alone.
He was genuinely worried for your safety and insisted he hunt with you for a while. You took him up on the offer and spent a couple months together before parting ways but still staying in touch.
You were drawn back to the present when Dean let out a breath of air as he stirred awake.
“Good morning,” he mumbled, a smile on his full lips when he opened his eyes. He sat up on his elbow and tilted your chin up with his finger. “My god, how are you so beautiful?” You giggled a little before he bent down and kissed you.
He sat up further and slipped an arm under you, bringing you to the center of the bed. He caged you beneath him by putting his hands on either side of you as your hands went into his already ruffled hair. You brought him back down and kissed him again, his left hand moving again and trailing down your side, bringing your bare thigh up to graze his own.
You could tell where things were going so you stopped him, “Dean.”
“Y/n,” he mumbled back.
“Dean, wait,” you said quietly.
“What is it?” he asked, looking down at you.
“How, um, how serious is this?” you asked.
“What?” He furrowed his brows a little.
“Is this a one-night thing?”
“Oh,” he realized. “Um, it can be, if that’s what you want.”
“Is that…what you want?” you asked.
He looked into your eyes and slowly shook his head negatively, your smile returning to your flushed face.
“I was kinda thinking this would be at least a two-night thing,” he said, showing off his adorable smirk and making you roll your eyes a little. He bent down and kissed you. “Maybe a three-night thing.”
“A four-night thing?” you teased.
“I think you’re gonna be stuck with me for a lot longer than that, sweetheart,” he mumbled into your mouth.
“You really think?” you asked, smiling.
“Hate to break it to you, but I’m kinda in love with you.” He stopped kissing you, realizing what he said. “I, uh, I mean, not—fuck, I really am. I’m sorry.”
“Dean,” you interrupted his spiraling, “I’m kinda in love with you too.”
“Oh thank goodness,” he whispered and kissed you again.

Tumblr media
You wandered through the aisles of the shop, your eyes lighting up at the array of items displayed on the shelves. You picked up a delicate necklace, admiring the intricate design. It was one of those moments where you felt an undeniable pull toward a piece of jewelry that seemed to resonate with you.
You glanced down at your purse and then realized that you had left your wallet at home, including your credit card. An involuntary sigh escaped your lips, a hint of disappointment tugging at you. It was such a small thing, but it was those little indulgences that could bring a smile to your face.
Just as you were about to put the necklace back, you heard Dean's voice from behind you. "Hey, you find something you like?"
Turning around, you found Dean standing there, his hands casually tucked into his jeans pockets. You smiled at him, gesturing to the necklace in your hand. "Yeah, this one caught my eye."
Dean's eyes followed your gesture, and he nodded appreciatively. "It's nice. You gonna get it?"
Your smile faltered slightly as you hesitated, your thoughts returning to your wallet sitting on the table at home. "Actually, I left my wallet at the bunker. I don't have my card with me."
Without missing a beat, Dean grinned and pulled out his wallet. "No problem, I got this."
Your cheeks warmed, a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment flooding over you. You weren't used to someone offering to pay for you, even though you knew Dean's actions were coming from a genuine place of kindness.
"Dean, you really don't have to," you protested softly, your gaze flickering between him and the necklace.
He shrugged nonchalantly. "Nah, consider it a little treat. You work hard, and you deserve something nice once in a while."
Unable to resist his earnest expression, you relented and nodded. "Okay, but you're coming shopping with me next time. Deal?"
Dean chuckled, slipping his wallet back into his pocket. "Deal. Just promise me you won't go too crazy in here."
You chuckled softly, feeling a warmth spread through yourself at his playful banter. "I'll do my best."
As you made your way to the cashier, you couldn't shake the feeling of gratitude for having someone like Dean in your life. It was the little moments like these that reminded you of the strength of your connection—a connection that went beyond just being partners in hunting.
And as the cashier rang up the necklace, Dean shot you a wink. "See? Easy peasy."
You playfully rolled your eyes but couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at your lips. Maybe it was okay to let someone take care of you once in a while.

Story
[Y/N] and Dean had arrived back in the bunker from a hunt in the late afternoon. It went well, just an average ghost, and there had been no casualties or major injuries. They had decided to hold off on the post-successful-hunt celebrations until the following night when Sam and Cas should be back from their hunt. Dean and [Y/N] planned to order pizza, kick back in the Dean Cave, and have a movie marathon. Although Dean and [Y/N] were close friends and had been living in the bunker together for a few years now, there was one issue with their plans; they clashed when it came to movie choices. They had gone their separate ways when they got back, planning to relax a bit before their inevitable argument over movies later.
[Y/N] decided to enjoy a bath, washing off all of the dirt and sweat from the hunt. The bunker had a large bath which she had grown very fond of. Neither of the boys tended to use it, and Cas didn't wash at all, so she was thankful to have it all to herself. She kept various body washes, shampoos, and conditioners on the side of the bath which the boys weren't allowed to touch. She lit some candles, breathing in her favourite scent, and relaxed with the tingling sensation of the bubbles popping on her skin. She hadn't allowed herself to properly relax in over a month; she'd been on back to back hunts with the boys for weeks, and this was the first night she was spending back in the bunker.
When the water cooled, she got herself out and towelled dry. She dried her hair and slipped into her most comfortable pyjamas, which were just a tank top and a pair of light shorts. She then walked down to Dean's door to see if he was ready for the movie night, but his room was empty. She continued along the corridor until she found the Dean Cave. Apart from her bedroom, this was the room in the bunker where she spent most of her free time, when she wasn't working on a case. Stepping inside, she found Dean looking through a stack of DVDs, and the table in front of them full of snacks.
"DVDs? I thought we were going to find something on Netflix that we hadn't watched yet". She said as she sat down on the couch beside him.
"We're watching Tombstone, it's not an option". Dean said as he finally found the one he was looking for. She rolled her eyes at him.
"We're not watching Tombstone again, we've watched it like a million times".
"I wanna watch it again". He shrugged and stood up to pop the DVD into the player, and [Y/N] took the opportunity to grab the remote from the table and stick on Netflix. Looking at the Netflix logo popping up on the screen, Dean chuckled and looked back to her. "Yeah, not gonna happen. Give me the remote".
"No".
"[Y/N]..." He warned, frowning at her.
"No, why do you always get to pick?"
"'Cause I'm the oldest".
"I think Cas has you beat there". She laughed.
"Nah he's just a baby in a trenchcoat, he wouldn't know a good movie if it hit him in the face".
"How do you even know what a good movie is if you won't watch anything new? Come on, just this once". She said as she started browsing through the latest additions.
"Give me the remote [Y/N], come on". He stood up and made his way towards her, stretching his hand out, but she crossed her arms, tucking the remote safely between her side and the arm rest on the couch.
"I said no".
"Okay, well then you're really not giving me any choice". He said as he looked down at her.
"What do you me-". She didn't finish her question as Dean tackled her, trying to reach behind her and grab the remote. Not letting the surprise make her lose, she quickly pulled her arm out and lay down on the couch, trying to get it out of Dean's reach. "Dean!" She gasped as he lay on top of her, reaching out for the remote in her hand. "Dean get off, you're heavy".
"Give me the remote".
"Let's try to compromise". She managed to get out between trying to wriggle out from underneath him. She wasn't opposed to being this close to him, she had actually been very attracted to him from the day they met, but he really was too heavy to be lying on top of her completely.
"No compromises Sweetheart, that remote is mine". He pushed himself farther up her body to reach her hand, but in the process ended up leaning his other hand directly on her throat, immediately cutting off her airway. She tried to slap his hand with her free hand, unable to speak, but he was too focused on the remote. She tried kicking him but her legs were pinned under his. She quickly gave in and brought the remote down to him, which he happily grabbed and looked down at her with a smug look, only for it to be wiped off his face immediately when he realised where he was putting pressure. "Shit, shit [Y/N] I'm sorry". He quickly got off her. Once she could breathe again her breath came out like a moan, and she froze. She could feel her cheeks heating up. She had just moaned in front of Dean. Sure, she had felt butterflies before when he'd winked at her, or brushed his fingers against hers, or when she'd seen him without a shirt on after a hunt. This was more than butterflies. She could feel the heat pooling between her legs, her heart was racing, she was definitely turned on.
Luckily, he didn't seem to hear the moan, or if he had he ignored it, and helped her to sit back up and knelt in front of her. He pushed her hair behind her shoulders as she tried steady her breathing and examined her neck. His gentle touch on her neck and collar bone was definitely not helping her situation, each brush giving her goosebumps. "It's fine Dean, it was only a couple of seconds". She was extremely embarrassed and just wanted to go to her room, but Dean was focused on her neck, his fingers continuing to trace gently around it looking for any marks.
"I promise you it was an accident, I didn't know my hand was on your neck. You know I'd never hurt you on purpose, right?" His eyes finally looked up from her neck to meet hers. His face was flooded with concern, but all she could focus on was the fact that his hand was still resting on her neck, his thumb lightly gliding up and down. She supposed it would be comforting if it wasn't turning her on so much, she was trying not to squirm in her seat, desperate for some friction but trying not to let Dean see the effect he was having on her. They had flirted, teased each other, but they'd never acted on anything. He was her friend, and she was his, and she wasn't willing to take any chances and ruin their relationship. She cleared her throat and stood up, and Dean's hand fell to his side as he stood back up to give her space.
"Yeah, I know it was an accident, don't worry about it". She smiled at him. "I'm uh, I'm actually pretty tired, it's been a long few weeks. I'm gonna go to bed, I'll see you tomorrow? I'm looking forward to all of us celebrating".
"Oh, yeah, sure. I'll see you tomorrow then". He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, and she avoided eye contact as she made her way out of the room. She lay down on her bed and groaned, she was sure Dean had heard her, had probably seen her blush too, and now things were most likely going to be awkward between them for awhile. Why on earth did she react like that? She'd never even considered choking as being something that would turn her on. She'd never fantasised about it, she always associated it with being choked by monsters on hunts. But there was something about Dean, Dean's hands, his fingers. They were warm, capable, experienced. They were rough, and strong, but soft and gentle at the same time.
She brought her hand up to her neck and lightly stroked it, feeling the traces of his fingers. She imagined how it would feel if she was anticipating it, if she knew it was going to happen, if she could let her mind enjoy it just as much as her body wanted it. She wrapped her fingers around her neck, not applying any pressure, just holding it, and her other hand crept under the waistband of her shorts, resting on top of her panties. She was just about to apply a bit of pressure with both hands when there was a knock on her door, and she ripped her hand out from under her shorts and away from her neck. She cleared her throat and sat up in her bed, and there was another knock. She panicked a little bit, why was he knocking? Was he aware that she'd been turned on by him and now wanted to talk about it? Was their friendship over? Did he think she should move out?
She slowly made her way over to her door and opened it to find Dean looking down at her. "Hey?" She asked cautiously.
"Hey".
"Uh, what's up?"
"Did you like it?"
"Did I... did I like w-what?" She stuttered.
"The choking. Your moan, were you turned on?"
"Dean... I am so sorry, I'm so embarrassed. We really don't need to talk about it".
"Do you want me to do it properly?"
"W-what?" She felt her cheeks heat up yet again at his question.
"By all means tell me no, and I'll go back to my room, we never have to bring it up again, tomorrow it will be like we never had this conversation". He gave her a reassuring smile. "But, if you want me to do it properly, I know how".
"You know how to do... what?"
"Choke you, in a pleasurable way. A safe way". He shrugged, and took a step towards her. He towered over her, and he was now wearing a smirk. "If you wanna give up control to someone, you can give it to me. I'll take care of you [Y/N]". He hooked his finger under her chin and pulled her face up. "Tell me that this is okay". He whispered, leaning his forehead against hers. She nodded and he chuckled. "I need you to use your words here Sweetheart, I need you to say stop if you want to stop, I need you tell me it's okay if it's okay".
"It's okay". She whispered. Dean didn't waste any more time, he stepped into the room, pushing her backwards, and closed the door behind him. She had never felt butterflies so intense as she watched him close his eyes and lean down. The moment his lips touched hers, her eyes fluttered closed too. Despite her earlier embarrassment, she couldn't help but let out a moan as Dean's hand grabbed her ass, the other slipping under her tank top and gripping her waist. Dean groaned when he heard the moan, and he licked her lower lip, silently asking for access. She gave in immediately, deepening the kiss as Dean's tongue invaded her mouth. Her hands found their way into his hair and she tugged it, pulling another groan from him. He walked her backwards until the backs of her knees hit the bed, and she fell back onto it, finally breaking the kiss.
Dean pulled his shirt off over his head, exposing his chest to her and she stared at him with her mouth open. She had seen him shirtless before, but this angle, lying in front of him with him now crawling on top of her, was different. He leant down and nipped at her neck, then began to kiss her jaw and made his way back to her lips. Her hands roamed his chest and his broad shoulders. He brought his body down to grind against her, making a space between her legs for himself. His fingers gripped the hem of her tank top and he pulled it up, only breaking the kiss when he needed to pull it off over her head. As soon as it was off he reached around and unhooked her bra with ease, pulling it away from her and throwing it onto the floor beside them. He moaned when he saw her, and he leaned down to lick around her nipple, while his fingers lightly pinched the other. She bucked up towards him but he grabbed her hips and pushed her back down onto the bed. "Patience, [Y/N]". He winked at her.
"I need more Dean, please". He instantly sucked her nipple into his mouth and began to swirl his tongue around it as his thumb hooked into the waistband of her shorts and he pulled them off her, joining the rest of her clothes on the floor. He pressed his thumb onto her clit, only the thin cloth of her panties acting as a barrier. "Oh my god, Dean, please, touch me properly". She was wriggling beneath him trying to create some friction under his thumb, but he just smiled and kissed his way back up her neck and quickly pecked her lips. He pulled her panties down and stood back up off the bed, looking down at her with a hunger in his eyes as he undid his belt. She felt a bit self conscious, completely naked on the bed while he watched her as he pushed his jeans and boxers down.
"You're fucking breathtaking [Y/N]. Do you know how long I've wanted you? To get my hands on you? To make you feel good?" He crawled back on top of her and stroked her cheek, before slowly tracing his fingers down the side of her neck, over her collar bone, over her nipple, down her stomach and eventually running over her clit and lightly dipping in between her legs. He moaned into her neck as he felt her. "You're already so wet for me". He licked her neck as he slowly pushed one finger inside. She gasped, she wasn't a virgin by any means but it had definitely been awhile since she'd been intimate with anyone, and Dean's fingers were not slender. His thumb circled around her clit and he continued to kiss, lick, and suck at her neck as he slowly eased a second finger in. He reacted to her movements, pulling his fingers out and pushing them in as she grabbed at his shoulders. He hooked his fingers, brushing against just the right spot inside her and she moaned loudly, moving her hand up to grab his hair. "Fucking love that sound, the things it does to me. On that couch earlier when you moaned I couldn't get it out of my mind, you make such pretty sounds Sweetheart". He mumbled into her neck as he pushed a third finger inside.
"Dean, I'm ready, I need you". She managed to get out between deep breaths.
"[Y/N]... with the choking, you tap twice and I stop, okay?"
"Yes, yes okay, please Dean". She knew she'd probably feel embarrassed tomorrow at her own begging and pleading, but there was no room for embarrassment in this moment; only need and desire.
"You have a condom?" He asked and she shook her head.
"I'm on the pill, and I trust you, I want to feel you Dean, please". He smiled against her neck and slid his fingers out of her. He sat up, between her legs as he lined himself up and stroked himself a few times, his other hand splayed out on her lower stomach. He looked up into her eyes and he pushed the tip inside. Her eyes closed and she tried to push her hips up to take him in further, but his hand on her stomach was stopping her.
"Open your eyes Sweetheart, I want to see them". She opened her eyes and looked into his, and he started to push further inside. He let go of himself as he pushed as far as he could go, and with his newly free hand he went back to paying attention to her clit. Dean was big, but he felt perfect. He leaned over her as he began to thrust in and out slowly. She held on to his shoulders as they rocked the bed, the headboard lightly banging into the wall behind them. She would have taken a moment to appreciate the fact that they were alone in the bunker if she wasn't completely consumed by Dean. His breath was warm against her lips as he began to kiss her, his familiar smell surrounded her, and he filled her completely.
She felt the familiar sensation of heat and tingling build up below her stomach as Dean's thrusts became harder, and as he kept his thumb rubbing her clit steadily. The hand he had kept on her stomach made its way up her body, stopping to play with her nipples again before continuing up to her neck. His hand was large, and he wrapped it around her neck, not yet applying any pressure, just stroking it on one side as he kissed the other. "Dean, I'm close".
"I know, I've got you". He whispered, and began to apply pressure. This was a completely new feeling for [Y/N]. She closed her eyes and focused on the feeling of his hand on her neck, he had so much control and power over her right now, she was completely vulnerable yet felt entirely safe in Dean's hands. He tightened his grip and she felt herself getting closer and closer, she was no longer breathing. The only thing she could feel was an almost unbearable pleasure as she came. It was the most intense pleasure she had ever felt, and she clenched around Dean, feeling as he came with her. When he let go of her neck and and she gasped, breathing in, it only prolonged her orgasm, giving her a second wave.
He collapsed on top of her and pulled himself out, causing her to moan one last time as she no longer felt full. He rolled off her onto his side and began to pepper kisses along her neck and collar bone. "Are you okay?" He asked and she nodded slowly. "Words, Sweetheart". He brushed her hair out of her face and kissed her cheek.
"More than okay". She felt him smile against her lips as he gently kissed her.
"Does your neck hurt?" He asked as he looked at it, noting the marks he'd left from sucking.
"No, no, I feel amazing". He chuckled at her blissed out expression and leaned up to kiss her forehead before pushing himself off the bed. "Where are you going?" She asked, suddenly feeling exposed and disappointed, was this just an experiment for Dean? Was he just helping her scratch that itch? Did he enjoy it as much as she had?
"I'm just going to get a cloth [Y/N], I'll be right back, promise". He smiled at her as he pulled his boxers back on and left the room. She lay on her bed staring at the ceiling, feeling like she'd just run a marathon, Dean Winchester knew what he was doing when it came to sex. That was for sure. He came back in only a few minutes later with a damp cloth and and a glass of water. He wiped her down, gently, and she realised she was feeling a bit tender as she whimpered under his touch. "I've got you, you're okay". He whispered as he finished up and helped her into her tank top and a clean pair of panties from her drawer. "Here, take a drink". He said as he passed the glass of water to her. She eagerly drank and smiled at him as he took the glass back from her. He lay back on the bed beside her and opened his arms, inviting her in. She lay her head on his chest and he pulled the covers up around them. He pressed his lips into her hair and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, lightly dragging his fingers up and down her arm.
"Was that like... was that a one time thing?" She asked hesitantly.
"Do you want it to be a one time thing?" He asked and she shook her head and snuggled in closer to him.
"No".
"Then it's not a one time thing. I'm yours".
The end

♡Part one♡
It had been three moths since that night with Dean, it had played over and over again in your mind when you went to sleep every night.
You swore you could feel his lips on yours, or the sounds he made when he was moving in and out of your body.
You hated it so much, you hated him. With his stupid eyes his pink lips you hated him.
But you took all of that rage out on, the monsters you’d hunt. Shooting them stabbing them. Anything you could think of.
You had come back from a bad werewolf hunt with Bobby, one of the wolfs clawed your abdomen trying to save Bobby.
So here you were nursing a bottle of whiskey as the old man stitched you up.
Oh yea and you forgot to mention you kind picked up a drinking habit over the last few months.
“Do you have a deal death with or something?” The old man asks as he threads your skink back together.
“No.” You hiss as he pulls the thread in and out of you.
“You’re not a very good lair.” He says grabbing the scissors to cut the string.
You raise your brow, “you aren’t a very good nurse either.” You say standing up. You grab stomach with a groan as you walk to the kitchen.
Bobby watches you struggle to walk away. He begins to clean the blood off his hands with a towel.
Bobby never bought it up because it was never any of his business. But. He cared about you a lot. You were like his daughter he’d never had have.
That day when he picked you up from the hotel. There was something wrong. You hadn't said anything to him about it since then. It has been three months and Bobby had grown curious.
Bobby takes a sigh and sits in his chair in front of his desk.
“What happened that I had to drive almost three hours out to pick you up from a motel?”
Bobby saw your body stiffen with the questions, he knew he had struck a nerve.
You grown and begin to walk up stairs, not wanting to answer his questions, “Good night Bobby.” You groan.
Bobby rolls his eyes “damn kid.”
Tumblr media
This had been the worst sleep of your life by far. You couldn’t sleep you were up all night tossing and turning. You groan as you flick the covers off of your body.
You look over at the time on your alarm clock, it was almost 12 in the afternoon.
You groan and begin to rummage through your pile of clean clothes you had just washed.
Tumblr media
“Please tell me you have coffee on and some painkillers.” You groan grabbing your stomach as you walk down the stairs
“I really could use some.” You say rubbing your eyes.
When Bobby didn’t say anything you remove your hands away from your eyes. And when you opened them you did not expect to see someone you haven’t seen in three months.
“Dean?” Your voice was barely above a whisper. You were angry.
You turn to the old man who was sitting across from him, “What the hell is he doing here?” You question, not looking over in Deans' direction.
“He’s here because he got a weird call, someone pretending to be Sam.” He says “just wanted to know if we got the call that’s all.”
You roll your eyes and clench your stomach, you don’t even look his way, he had left you after sharing an intimate moment, he left you vulnerable.
You scoff and walk over to the coffee pot, you poor yourself a cup, Bobby looks between you and Dean.
Dean had his eyes glued to your back, waiting for you to turn around and look at him. But you didn’t. He watched as you grab the painkillers from the top cabinet with a groan.
“I’ll be upstairs.” You mumble.
Bobby nods as he watches you carefully disappear upstairs.
“Are you gonna talk about it?” Bobby questions.
Dean huffs and leans back “nothing to talk about, just came here to see if you got that call that's all.”
Bobby let’s out a chuckle. “You came here to see if she was here.”
Bobby states.
Dean rolls his eyes. “No i didn’t,” Dean argues.
“Bullshit, something happened between you too.” Bobby says looking at the green eyed man.
Dean nods his head “it did but it was a mistake, we both were missing Sam.” Dean rubs a hand down his face.
Bobby cuts Dean off “Does she know that?” Bobby questions. “That girl has had a death wish for three months. I made her stop hunting, I don't know if you noticed, she has a pretty bad injury."
“Whatever you did you need too clear it up.” Bobby says.
Dean stands up from his chair “There’s nothing to clear cause nothing happened, it didn’t mean anything, not to me anyway.” Dean grabs his jacket.
Before Dean reached the front door he saw you at the bottom of the stairs, with your bloodied bandages that you had just switched out with new ones. In your hands
He didn’t miss the way the tears in your eyes welded up. He give you a small smile the exits the house,
“How much did you hear.”
You swallow hard, “Enough” you walk into the kitchen and shove the bandages in the trash. And once again you had disappeared up the stairs.
Tumblr media
It has been three days since Dean had come. Bobby wasn't home, he hasn’t been home for a few days he was cleaning up a ghoul hunt in Ohio. You were left alone reading lore books. About monsters.
Your wound on your abdomen, still hurt like hell, you felt like it was keeping you from hunting and you hated it.
You were bought out of your thoughts when there was a frantic knock at the door, you carefully get up from your spot and make your way to the front door.
“Who is it” you say.
“Y/n? It’s Sam open the door.”
You raise your eyebrows.
“Thats impossible you’re in hell.”
You hear a loud sigh coming from the door, you watch as the bottom lock jiggles and then the door opens, it opens up enough to see the tall hunter standing in the door way.
“Sam?”
He rolls his eyes and squeezes past you, “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell everybody.” He huffs closing the door behind him
“How.” You watch as the tall man makes his way through the house as if he was looking for someone? “Where’s Bobby?”
“Ghoul hunt.” You say watching him,
“Dean? Did he go with Bobby?”
You shake your head ‘no”
“I haven’t talked to him not really, not since-“
Sam nods at your words
“How did you-“ you point
Sam shrugs “I don’t know.” He chuckles. Sam stops and looks at you. “Give me your phone.” He says
You raise your eyebrows in confusion, reaching into your back pocket you fish out your phone, handing it to the tall man.
Sam smiles he clicks the screen a few times.
You sigh and walk past him, into the kitchen.
You listen as Sam mumbles a quick 'bye' into the phone.
Sam walks back to you handing you your phone, "Who'd you call?" You hum tucking your phone back into your pocket.
You had already knew the answer to that question. You didn’t even know why you asked.
Sam reaches beside you and opens the fridge, he reaches in and grabs two beers.
"Dean." He says handing you the bottle.
You don't say anything expect, you pop the top off and throw it into the sink. Sam sighs as he watches you knock back the beer in a few sips.
"Did something happen between you guys, when i called he thought it was you." Sam says.
You set the empty bottle down. "It did, but according to him, it didn't mean anything." You state. You take a shaky breath, "He left me, without saying goodbye Sam. I don't even know where he's been for the last three months."
Sam notices a tear slide down your cheek, "He's been playing house, with Lisa. Seems like when shit hits the fan he keeps going back to her."
"What?" Your voice was shaky. You don't remember anyone in Dean's life named Lisa. But then you rack through your brain.
"The dark-haired lady? With that kid named Ben?"
Sam nods.
You remembered them both, You three were working on a case when Dean had knocked at the door, and she had answered, it was her son's birthday.
"He was in love with her?" You question. Sam nods. "I guess he still is."
You sigh, you wondered if you were Dean's second option.
'I'm going to- take a nap." You say looking down at your watch.
Sam nods and rubs the small of your back,
Walking into the living room, you had grabbed a blanket that was. Draped over the back of an empty chair, you always liked sleeping on the cot Bobby had by the window, it was peaceful hearing the birds chirping, pulling the blanket up you quickly fall asleep.
Tumblr media
it had felt like you were sleeping forever but that was until you felt someone shaking you.
Opening your eyes you see Sam, "Hey.” he says, “Bobby called, and told me you needed your bandages switched out."
You yawn and rub your eyes. Sam helps you sit up. You lift up your shirt with a wince.
He grabs the bandages that had been on Bobby's desk.
Sam pulls a chair up.
You had been hardly awake for that long when you heard the side door open. "Hey." Sam says not even looking in that direction, he had been placing the new bandages on you.
You knew who it was, you had been hoping. That he wouldn't had come tonight you didn't want to have to face him.
You watch and he walks in the room where you and Sam where, his eyes glued on you, he had a fresh beer in his hand.
Sam pats your leg motioning you pull down your shirt. "Thanks." You mumble. Sam smiles at you, he walks into the kitchen past Dean to wash his hands.
You pull the blanket back over your body.
Dean watches you stare out the window, it had remined him of that night- before he left.
He sits in the chair that Sam was just in. His beer resting between his legs. "Please go." You sniffle not wanting to look at him.
When Dean didn’t listen you turn to look at him, your breathing was harsh. You were mad.
The anger that you had built up for the past few months was just begging to come out.
“So Lisa huh?”
Dean opens and closes his mouth.
“Did you decide to go be with her before or after you fucked me!” You spat, throwing the blanket off your body you sit on the edge of the bed.
Your chest heaving up and down.
When Dean didn’t say anything you continue. “You left me Dean, you didn’t call you didn’t text, for all I could’ve know you could’ve died. But no you were playing house with some whore.” You spat
Dean licks his lips, “don’t talk about her like that.” He grumbles
You roll your eye, I’ll talk about her however I goddamn please.”
You and Dean stare at each other.
“Was it a mistake Dean?” You question.
Dean blinks a few times. He had forgotten you heard his and Bobby’s conversation.
Dean shakes his head, he had convinced himself it was a mistake the day he left you and went to Lisa.
But he knew deep down it wasn’t. If it was he wouldn’t have been the first one to kiss you.
“No, I thought about you everyday for three months when I left.” Dean was telling the truth weather or jot you decided to believe it or not.
He dreamed about you daily. He could still smell your perfume. He could hear you little moans. When he hit that sweet spot inside of you.
He didn’t know why he left he was scared.
Scared that maybe you would’ve regretted it too.
But it turns out, you were far from thinking that.
You scoff, “Bullshit.” You spat. “I was your second option Dean. You got your fix and left me. I’m nothing to you, and I never will be.”
Tears stream down your face, Wiping your hands doen your face you get up from your spot on the cot. “You Sam and Bobby don’t need me,” you say grabbing your jacket. You reach into on of the draws that Bobby have in the kitchen, it had sets of car keys in it.
You take a random one and walk out the door.
Dean chases after you.
“Y/n stop!” Dean shouts.
You had stopped in your tracks, you turn around to face Dean.
“I’m leaving Dean You can’t stop me.” You say.
You hit the car alarm on the key fob and one of the cars that were sitting in the lot begin to light up. Turning the alarm off you hop into the car.
Dean watches as you pull away in the car.
Something in the back of Dean’s mind told him to stop you. He wanted just to talk it over with you maybe. Just maybe it could have a different outcome.
It was just one big misunderstanding.
He watches as you pull out of the driveway.
Your car begins to move slowly. It was like you wanted to come back. But you kept driving.
Until. Another car coming from the opposite direction, came speeding down.
You tried to get out of the way but it was too late.
Dean watches as the car rams into yours with full speed.
“Y/n!” Dean shouts as he begins to run.
Dean ran, it felt like forever. When he reached the car you were in he sees your body hunched over. There was blood all over you face it was coming out of your ears and nose.
The wound on your stomach was open, there was so much blood, Dean had seen nothing like it.
This was not happening hew knew he should’ve stopped you. He should’ve stopped you.
He scoops your body up in his arms. He looks down at your face, your eyes begin to flutter open.
“I’m sorry-“ was all you say before it all went black.
“I’m gonna get you help sweetheart, you ain’t leaving me.” Dean says putting you in the back of the impala.
But Dean sees your eyes closed.
He was not going to let you die, not in his watch.
