Reaper of Heroes
Once crowned as the High Ghost King of the Infinite Realms, Danny gains some grim reaper-like abilities and dominion over a specific subset of souls.
Heroes.
People who don masks and capes to protect the innocent from those who would harm them, just like he once did in the beginning of his existence as a halfa. He's was horrified by the responsibility but is eventually resigned to it. Due to bittersweet nostalgia, he quickly grows fond of the heroes that rose up after he took the throne and packed away the suit. Responsible he may be for the collection of their souls, but with council from Clockwork and the Ghost of Time's knowledge of the most desired paths, sometimes he'll just... let a soul slip through his fingers and return to it's vessel before it's chain is completely severed. He doesn't care that the observants complain constantly about those particular actions. If there's still room for a soul to do good for the better of everyone else, they can hardly stop him from straying from their plans. Much less with him as their king and protection as his obsession.
Only he is responsible for the reaping of these specific souls, unless delegated to one of the more common reapers at his command of course. Sometimes he follows his favorite heroes around, invisible to them unless he wishes them to see him or they're very close to death's door. He's trailed them so closely that some heroes have reported seeing a kind but sad looking man with white hair and aurora green eyes when they've nearly been pushed past the limits of their mortal bodies.
Ones who have passed through the veil but came back report vague memories of a similar sort; a kind man who cradled the very essence of their being with hands so gentle it's worth a few awe filled tears once he released them back amongst the living. The JL give him the moniker Grim, for his black and white coloring and for the shadowy scythe he carries not as a weapon but more like a key that unlocks the chain that binds them to their flesh. He never speaks to any of the heroes he interacts with tho. Always silent with a calculating, but sorrowful gaze.
At least until now.
When he appears before a bruised and beaten, young Jason Todd with whisper soft words in his ear as he comforted the concussed boy about to be killed in a fiery inferno at the hands of Gotham's mad clown.
As the explosion comes to a close, an unseen figure cradles the star-like light of a soul close to his chest as he wept and apologized for being unable to save the young soul from such a painful end but was thankful the poor boy this light belonged to could feel it no longer.

What do you think? Angsty enough? I might have a little more to add to this but I'm gonna stop for now. I injured my hand yesterday, so it hurts to type for too long.

Pariah's Keep probably has a shit ton of Precious Goods from various places.
Danny is become King?
If Danny becomes King... then the Zone will somewhat obey him. The Crown and Ring could EASILY tell him where the next natural portal is, where it opens up, and for how long. How many there are. Could probably make a few.
Probably WAS supposed to be making them. Consciously. But, well, Coma(tm).
Would probably count as Kingly Duty to filter and collect. Clean Ecto goes out for souls that remain, a Gateway home for those that wish to LEAVE, so forth and so on.
Effectively, being The Grim Reaper. You don't CAUSE Death. You just guide the way home. If folks so choose.
And that's neat! Horrifying, but neat! And Danny can TOTALLY see how it would eventually drive him completely breakfast cereal fruity nuggets! LUCKILY, he's got a vaguely bro's/Mentor thing going with the ghost who has ALL OF POSSIBLE TIME flowing through HIS head! So Danny should be Gucci!
The headaches suck though.
But WHAT... to do with all this Gold and valuable Space Goods? Most of these aren't even recognized currency on earth! Like the Shells. You could buy a mansion with one of those... on the right planet. On Earth? Pretty paperweight. Hmmmm >.>
Wait.

Gold... can be exchanged for goods and services. He remembers, holding a gold brick, about to eat so, SO much pizza.
But WAIT! I hear you wondering! Surely, you mean? Within his past? The history and region of space he knows, right? Ha ha :) Nope! Cowards.
Danny is on the alien otter's planet, trading those sweet, sweet Shells for some snacks no human could eat and a shawl for his sister! He's hiding, badly, behind a food stall in the Martian market place. Hoping future hero J'onn Johnes doesn't notice him.
Lying to the Space Cops, bout where his untraceable Space Money came from, on an alien trading satellite. The Green Lantern's not buying it. Oh noooo >.> sudden Fright Knight. Looming Menacingly by the loading doooocks. Everyone's upset! Definitely not related to him! Better go check on that! :) *gets the heck out of dodge* (my king. Please stop using me as a distraction.) (No promises)
But! It's all fun and games? Until your human friends get sick. Like... REALLY sick.
And then you suddenly remember time and space mean nothing to you. One 15 minute flight that way, two doors, a quick flight of stairs, and a literal child's play place slide? You could be in the 32nd century.
That disease is AT BEST, an unpleasant afternoon, there.
Here, your friend could die.
You trade a student two Spanish dubloons. They have no idea what they are. Just like the look of them and know they're real metal. They walk into the pharmacy for you. Don't question your "social experiment paper" lie.
You're back in less then an hour.
The screaming argument about ethics and mortality lasts hours.
She still takes the medicine. Gets better. Won't talk to you for months. Because why does HER life matter more? Why bend the rules for HER? And you can't bring yourself to say what pulses as Truth from both Crown and Ring.
You could because she didn't Matter. Time... would not notice, nor change. She was in no way pivotal to the flow of history, must one more ant beneath its unrelenting march. Mattering only because those who love her CARE. Because one or two little things might change for the better.
But it takes the shine off of it, a little.
Being able to go to the FUTURE. Watch movies and see aliens and humans alike in the crowd. Read books and dance to songs from people who won't be born for hundreds of years. Eat snacks from the farthest reaches of the cosmos. Or the early BCs!
And that's BEFORE other time travelers clock him as That Shopping Guy. The one who keeps popping up... buying things. For what? Unknown. Probably dinner. Half the time it's food. Trinkets. Once it was a really, REALLY nice goat. (His aunt was THRILLED.)
It probably drives Bart crazy. Because NO ONE knows anything about the guy? Everyone just universally goes "oooh yeah! HIM! Yeah, he sure does Exsist(tm). Very... present and exsistant." Like that's not CRAZY! He has so many question. So Many! What is he even BUYING!? Why? Is there an order? Or is he winging it?!

Quick Dp x Dc thingy.
We need more unhinged Danny. I don't mean silly unhinged, i mean terrifying, reaper like, Danny.
Imagine Danny but based on Death from Puss in Boots.
I can imagine this is a Danny that was pushed too far, not far enough to be Dan, but far enough to abandon a lot of his loved ones (not Jazz and Dani), and become more of an anti hero.
He can eventually encounter anyone from the dc universe. I personally like the idea of the Bats realising there is something going on at the Lazerous and then when they get there Danny emerges from the pit. He's there to pick up a soul, and that soul is Ras. Just murks that man with little to no effort scaring everyone.

Work Experience (DC x DP)
Before he can take his place as King, Danny has to familarise himself with his peoples' cultures. Most ghosts are made knowing all sorts of things about ghost law (for example the Christmas Truce), ghost etiquette and ghost history. Danny got none of that because he's not technically dead.
He spends a year working on maintenance for the Ghost Colosseum in Pandora's Haunt. She offered for him to do exhibition matches as a gladiator but he knew all he needed to about fighting already, he really wanted to learn something in his time here. He didn't know it but that had constituted the passing of Pandora's little test.
He spends a few months working as an Orderly for the Far Frozen as it would take far to long to learn enough to substantially contribute to healing even a single blob ghost.
He spends one week with Undergrowth and Nocturne examining the forces that governed the natural world. Unfortunately, Danny was physically incapable of seeing 'the threads connecting all things across all dimensions' and they kicked him out. Undergrowth filed an official petition to take Sam as his apprentice after her death. Danny said he would consider it and put it aside to show her next time he was 'topside'.
He was slated to spend the greatest amount of time as a Grim Reaper. Unlike humans thought, the dead could get to where they needed to be without any difficulty. It was the not-quite-dead who needed more help. Help to decide if it was worth going back, help to cross the final line if that was what they really needed, help coming back again and again for metas and aliens with preternatural healing.
Once Danny figured out there was a whole species of Ghost who should have helped him through the portal incident, he'd reached out to CW demanding answers as to why he'd had to muddle through on his own. The god of time was ironically, ghosting him, though.
Funnily enough, the Grims are thrilled he's there. As never-alive ghost beings, they often struggle with the best way to complete their work - they've never felt the pressures of being alive or confronted the fear of death or had to assimilate the truth of the afterlife into their worldview. So they basically immediately give Danny all their hardest jobs.
People who really, really should be moving on, their time is up but they just won't let go? People who are ready to depart but their body won't let their soul depart? That one asshole who's soul is cursed to be immortal? Those are Danny's cases. He handles it with as much humour and compassion as he can.
In an unrelated matter, several months into Danny's newest jobs, at a Justice League casual event, several heroes get to talking. Turns out several of them have had near-death experiences recently and they all shared the same hallucination as they went towards the light. Time to investigate.

Hero Artifact Ideas
I'm sure you all have seen my recent Hero Artifact pictures, where I basically make some BS empowering artifact meant to basically be Light Novel protag level power-ups to various protagonists.
Those were the first ones I put to paper but I have a few more roaming around in my head. Here is a list of heroes I am trying to come up with weapons for and some concepts that I have for some of them:
(Note: an * next to the name means that I haven't fully watched the series and have just heard a lot about it from a friend or have read up on it a bit, so I am a bit limited on design ideas)
Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) *: 9 shuriken made from the same metal as the Uzumaki Adamantine chains, can use Flying Thunder God technique on them, each contain Tailed Beast Chakra. With Chakra from lots of people and the Hashirama Cell Wood Release he can make a new Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and become a 10 Tails, but this is a risk to Kurama.
Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)* : must connect all 3 of his powersets, each power represents one of the worlds: Quincy = Human world, Hollow = Hueco Mundo, Soul Reaper/Shinigami = Soul Society. Small Quincy ZXanpakuto has laser blade like other Quincy weapon.
Natsu Dragneel
Son Goku (Dragon Ball)*: Power Pole upgraded to let Goku fight more conceptual threats using the more mystical nature of Ki. Goku later turns it into dragon tattoos.
Ruby Rose (RWBY)
Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia)
Maka Albarn & Soul Eater (Soul Eater): Moon charms that share Black Blood and Anti-Demon Wavelength. Maka can access weapon blood and so can Soul.
Jotaro Kujo (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders)
Josuke Higashikata (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable)
Giorno Giovanna (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo): Scarab Shield that reflects damage, based on the abilities of his life constructs

Hyde Kido (Under Night In-Birth): Insulator’s origin of Vatista’s wing brought forth.
Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom(Danny Phantom): must be tech based as he doesn’t really lean into the mystic stuff, maybe an upgraded version of the Ecto-Skeleton (Vlad proves a non-lethal-to-user version can be made), using the Gem of Life from the Reality Gauntlet.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug (Miraculous: The Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir): Already done, might tweak
Dipper Pines (Gravity Falls): Spell Book journal with his Pine Tree symbol instead of the six-fingered hand, with the Big Dipper/Ursa Major on it.
Ben Tennyson (Ben 10): 1. Electric Sword (has a lot of electrical aliens, references Ascalon, also references Take-Mikazuchi a Sword and Thunder god from Japan who was in first sumo match, referencing Sumo Slammers), or a Band that gives him Ki powers (X is Roman 10 and pronounced “chi”, and Chi is also a form of life energy like Mana b/c fuck you writers saying only Gwen can use mana).

Rex Salazar (Generator Rex): upgraded Tanto that Six gave him

Those are the heroes I chose to try and come up with Artifacts for and some ideas I already had. If anyone wants to help me come up with an idea if any of these guys seem appealing to you, feel free to speak out. Naturally, I'd expand a lot more on the ideas if the weapon design actually gets made.

Some Huwumi AUs!!!
Putting them under a 'Read More'. May have to write some of these!
Grease AU: This happened solely because my iPod shuffled to the soundtrack the other night and I was feeling the Huwumi in the air. It could really work, though! Fuyumi as the sweet and compassionate Sandra D, and Hawks as the "bad boy" T-Bird with a heart of gold Danny? It'd be such a good fit. A fun time, though I'd have to make some changes from the source material both for modernization and if I want there to still be Quirks or not.
Footloose AU: I've only seen Footloose one time in my life as a production by the high school I eventually attended when I was in grade school. The whole plot is absolute nonsense and kind of goofy, but it could be a lot of fun! Hawks seems like the type who would thrive in a bombastic settling like that, peacocking around to woo the girl. Plus, Enji putting a ban on dancing/ music because he blames it for Touya's death? Feels like an in-character approach for the man if he cared more about his family.
Anastasia AU: Another one that could be a good fit for these two, either running with the main premise from the Bluth film or with changes made to fall a little more in line with canon! For example, if wanting to run with a world here Quirks and Pros are still a thing, the inciting event could be the downfall of classic Hero society under the weight of Villains. Endeavor and maybe Rei??? are killed in the downfall and Fuyumi, in helping her brothers escape, ends up taking a nasty blow to the head and developing amnesia. Many years later, and following a few rather sizable victories by the new wave of Heroes, a plea is issued by upcoming Hero Todoroki Shouto; help him find his older sister, and be repaid most handsomely. Hawks, a double-agent who has been leaking information to the Heroic rebels, quite literally stumbles upon her hidden in a room in the villains base of operations. This leads to a slew of issues regarding his relationship with certain members of the League, as well as a debate on helping the daughter of a man he still admires.
Parental!Fuyumi AU: This is a bit of a weird one, but I think it could be interesting. The premise is that Fuyumi is the first born, and there is a huge gap between when she is born and when her brothers are born. My thought is that there are 11-12 years between she and Touya, with a 3-4 year gap between the boys following that. After the incident with Shouto and Rei, Fuyumi - around 20-21 years old - moves back in at home to take over raising her brothers. While she struggles to complete college/ adjust to her work place, tend the home, and raise her brothers, she also has to deal with the Winged Hero, Hawks, frequently dropping in unannounced and adding even more chaos to her already hectic life.
Soulmate AU: In which everyone has an important phrase their soulmate will say to them written somewhere on their body, in their soulmate’s handwriting. For Todoroki Fuyumi, the mocking words “Ah, so you are Daddy’s Little Princess!” etched along her collarbone have always felt like a heavy weight to bear, reminding her that the world isn’t always kind and some shadows are too immense to step away from. Takami Keigo had lived his life without knowing about the words “Being superficially charming isn’t worth much out of the camera’s lens, you know,” between his shoulder blades, just above his wings. After all, the Hero Commission has bigger plans for him than chasing down a soulmate. A canon compliant fic in which Todoroki Fuyumi and Takami Keigo have multiple messy meetings and find that a soulmate isn’t always the person you want, but rather the person that you need.
Demon Hunter/ Body Guard AU: All Heroes are Demon Slayers in this AU. Endeavor is known as one of the best of the best, a long list of victories and successful slays under his belt, if not a bit abrasive and callous. Due to his high success rate, his family is a target for all demon kind; specifically, his only daughter, Fuyumi, who has no proper training regarding fending off demons and lives miles away from the Slayers stronghold city. Enter Takami Keigo, alias of Hawks, a highly-praised Slayer with a track record that rivals the senior operative. After an attack in the town Fuyumi lives in, Hawks is sent to play bodyguard and escort her to the safety of the Slayers main base.
Matchmaker AU: Takami Keigo is a world renowned advice columnist/ talk show host who specializes in relationships. He is particularly praised for his ability to salvage any relationship and kickstart any romance. His skills are called into question, however, when he meets Todoroki Fuyumi, the enigmatic daughter of his executive producer who doesn't immediately fall for his charms. When this begins to have a negative impact on his ability to do his job, it becomes a matter of principle; solve the riddle of Todoroki Fuyumi and get his mojo back.
Random Soundtrack AU: I can think of no better way to refer to this one. It has no real plot or anything to it, mostly just a bunch of scenes and ideas in my head brought up by certain songs on my iPod. Mostly just your stereotypical, goofy little story about two dweebs falling in love. There’d still be Quirks in this AU but probably no Heros and most of the drama would just come from the interpersonal relationships. And the Todoroki Brothers collectively going feral over their precious sister dating Hawks.
Neighbors AU: No Quirk AU in which Todoroki Fuyumi is a college student with way too much stress between school and some salacious family drama. Her life is even more compounded when Takami Keigo, an obnoxious and rowdy young man, takes the apartment right next door. And to make matters even worse? Turns out that he’s a friend of her older brother - who she hasn’t spoken to in nearly three years - and likes shoving his nose into other people’s business.
Former Child Actor AU: Years ago, Todoroki Fuyumi was a household name in Japan, adored for her starring role in a popular sitcom between the ages of six and fifteen. Upon the series completing, she was slated to begin working on a new series with up and coming teen heartthrob Takami Keigo. However, after an undisclosed incident occurred on the first date of filming, the young woman seemed to disappear into the obscurity. But Takami Keigo was there, that day, and the event has never really left him. Years later and at the peek of his career, he decides to start doing some digging to see if he can relocate his near co-star and find out where it all went wrong. But when someone disappears for almost eight years, there may be a reason. And they may not be so eager to be found.
Fake Dating/ Sugar Momma AU: Todoroki Fuyumi is the daughter and personal assistant of her father, Todoroki Enji, and one of the key players overseeing the continued success of Endeavor Electronics. She takes pride in her work and personal life balance and that, specifically, her father only has control on so much of the latter. But when he begins to talk about marrying her off to one of a selection of bachelors, she fabricates a story about a boyfriend to get him off her back. When this backfires to his insistence she bring the man around, she’d forced to hire on Takami Keigo, a law school dropout and male escort, to play the part. The only problem? Keigo is a bit of a wild card himself and only works to further complicate the situation. Might include some 18+ content in this AU if I write it; don’t know yet.
Reaper AU: Takami Keigo is your typical Reaper, collecting the souls of those that have run out of time, and assuring that those with short time frames left make the most of their remaining time. He is, however, also given some of the more complex cases his superiors occasionally run into. Enter the case of one Todoroki Fuyumi; a healthy young woman whose soul was traded by her father to save his own. Now with only a year to live, Keigo is charged with making sure that time is as fulfilling for her as possible. He's pretty sure that falling for her wasn't recommended in the case notes, though.

Skulls have become a huge part of pop culture. It’s a symbol often used in designs for characters associated with death or evil. In this list, we’re looking at the top 20 fictional characters with Skulls - specifically the head or face.
20) Death [ Castlevania ]
Death is Dracula’s loyal 2nd in command in the Castlevania series. He has a classic Grim Reaper appearance - complete with a big scythe - and wields dark magic. He tends to battle in clock towers and has resurrected Dracula countless times
19) Doctor Phosphorus [ DC ]
A reactor core accident gave Doctor Phosphorus the powers of eternal burning skin and radiation manipulation. He sought revenge on those he blames for making the power plant unsafe. This led into run-ins with Batman and he would eventually become one of the Dark Knight’s recurring villains.
18) Mister Bones [ DC ]
Mister Bones (aka Director Bones) was born a mutant after his mother was injected with an experimental drug during pregnancy. His skin and organs are invisible, and his sweat is toxic. He’s spent time as a member of a few superteams before eventually becoming a Director with the Department of Extranormal Operations
17) Holocaust [ Marvel ]
Originally known as Nemesis, Holocaust featured in the Age of Apocalypse event from the 90’s as one of the Four Horsemen. After his body was almost destroyed by Magneto, Dark Beast transferred his essence into a powerful exo-skeleton.
16) Doctor Destiny [ DC ]
Dr. Destiny used to be your typical evil scientist and criminal mastermind. But he would transcend that when he invented the Materioptikon, a device that could make dreams a reality. Eventually, he would be able to manipulate dreams directly and would become a major recurring foe of the Justice League
15) Deathstorm [ DC ]
There have been two Deathstorm characters that are dark variants of Firestorm (one from Blackest Night/Brightest Day and one from New 52’s Earth-3). The New 52 version was a combo of Martin Stein and a corpse he experimented on. He had the powers of the Firestorm matrix and was part of the Crime Syndicate during the Forever Evil storyline.
14) Simon “Ghost” Riley [ Call of Duty ]
Simon “Ghost” Riley was a badass member of British Special Forces and Task Force 141 in the Call of Duty series. When they were kids, his brother Tommy would wear a Skull mask to scare him - which would inspire the design of Ghost’s balaclava.
13) Shadowman [ Valiant ]
Jack Boniface is given with the “Darque power” by the mystical group known as the Coven. When the Darque power fills Jack, Shadowman takes over with enhanced strength + endurance, night vision, reduced fear, and other abilities. He battles demonic and mystical forces when the sun sets in New Orleans
12) Blazing Skull [ Marvel ]
Blazing Skull was a Golden Age character from Timely comics and a member of the Invaders. He was seen as the chosen one by a tribe of “Skull Men” in a cave and gains special powers from training. These include immunity to fire and the ability to turn his flesh invisible.
11) Shao Kahn [ Mortal Kombat ]
Shao Kahn is one of the main antagonists throughout the Mortal Kombat games. He has ruled Outworld on multiple occasions and has godlike strength and powers. He can consume souls and wields his mighty Wrath Hammer in his battles with the forces of Earthrealm
10) Atomic Skull [ DC ]
The Joseph Martin version of Atomic Skull gained special abilities after an accident involving S.T.A.R. Labs. He has the strength, agility, endurance at the levels of a Superman analog. He’s also able to shoot his sweet looking purple flame in blasts at enemies. In some versions his skin is invisible- in another it’s melted off by radiation.
9) Crossbones [ Marvel ]
Crossbones is a neo-nazi military tactician who is often at odds with Captain America. He learned and taught at Taskmaster’s school and is a master of firearms and explosives. He famously assassinated (apparently) Captain America after the Civil War event
8) Taskmaster [ Marvel ]
Taskmaster is a master assassin with the ability to duplicate any ability he sees - without any training. Because of this he’s become an expert with all forms of weaponry, martial arts, and marksmanship. He is often used as a trainer for other super-powered individuals.
7) Black Mask [ DC ]
Born into an upper class family in Gotham City, Roman Sionis was a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. He had serious mommy and daddy issues, culminating with their murder at his hands. Taking on the persona of Black Mask, he’d go on to run one of the largest criminal organizations in Gotham.
6) Scorpion [ Mortal Kombat ]
Scorpion was a trained ninja assassin who died at the hands of his bitter rival, Sub-Zero of the Lin Kuei clan. He returned from the dead as an skull-headed spectre with powers of hellfire. Though appearing as a force of evil, he has been more of an anti-hero as the games have progressed.
5) Reaper [ Overwatch ]
Gabriel Reyes was a decorated officer in the US military who took part in a secret “soldier enhancement program” that gave him superhuman abilities. He’d eventually become the mercenary and terrorist Reaper that would hunt former members of the Overwatch team. He is able to take on a wraith form and wields two hellfire-spewing shotguns.
4) Terminator - T-800 [ Terminator ]
The T-800s were a model of machines created by Skynet for infiltration and combat missions. They are androids that have a triple-armored hyper-alloy endoskeleton that makes them extremely hard to damage by conventional means. T-800s have powerful tracking systems, can replicate voices, and usually wield a Plasma rifle.
3) Skeletor [ Masters of the Universe ]
The nemesis of He-Man, Skeletor wants to conquer and rule the world of Eternia. He commands dark mystical powers and a wide array of minions and henchmen. Much of his magic powers are channeled from his ram-headed staff known as the Havoc Staff.
2) Red Skull [ Marvel ]
Red Skull is an evil enemy of the free world, mentored by Hitler himself. He dons a red skull mask and is the archenemy of Captain America. Red Skull is often seen wielding the powers of the Cosmic Cube to further his agenda. Red Skull is one of the most sinister villains in comics, both in appearance and actions. His masterful scheming makes him an enemy that can’t be underestimated.
Honorable Mentions
Before unveiling #1, it’s worth mentioning a few others that didn’t quite crack the list.
Blue Knight is a vigilante in Astro City. His guns shoot “ghost” bullets that disappear after hitting a target- leaving no trace.
Mister Fear is a mantle used by many villains in Marvel, all typically Daredevil or Spider-man enemies. He uses fear gas / pellets / spray to manipulate emotions.
The Punisher is one of the most iconic characters in Comics that has a Skull motif. After his family was killed by the mob, Frank Castle dedicates himself to brutally taking down criminals. This list was focused on Skull masks / heads which is why he didn’t quite make it.
Blight was a character from the Batman Beyond TV series and later made his way into comics. He is extremely high temperature and has radiation manipulation abilities.
1) Ghost Rider [ Marvel ]
There have been many Ghost Riders and Spirits of Vengeance over Marvel’s History. My favorite is Danny Ketch, but they are all iconic. The flaming skull, the bike, the spikes, the chain. Ghost Rider is a gritty, virtually indestructible force of justice. He wields hellfire, a magical chain, and a can transform vehicles into more fiery and powerful versions. His most well-known and terrifying abilities is the Penance Stare which makes the victim feel all the pain they’ve caused others over their lifetime. Ghost Rider is the epitome of the dark, badass antihero archetype - and what’s not to love about that?

Healing Jason is slow going. Whatever was used to bind his soul back to his body with the chains already snapped and corroded was some really nasty stuff. Phantom worked tirelessly with the yetis of the Far Frozen to extract it from his underdeveloped core without causing his soul to separate again. It was excruciatingly painful for the man to go through but Phantom held onto his hand through the worst of it, even though Jason was too delirious to fully appreciate it.
In the end, the lazarus water was flushed out of his system and stored in a jar for later observations. Jason slept for many days afterwards as the yetis supplied his underdeveloped core with the nutrients it needed to finish forming. Phantom patiently waited by his side for as long as he was allowed in between his kingly/reaper duties.
Needless to say, it was quite a shock to Jason when he woke up to a strange white haired main sleeping silently in the chair next to his bed and the yeti dressed in a doctor's coat fixing a new bag of what looked to him was gently glowing lazarus water to his IV stand. Initially, he freaks out, waking Phantom up as Jason sprints out of the med room and out into below freezing weather. He can barely walk he's shivering so hard.
"You might wanna come back inside where it's warm. Unless you want to catch the rest of your death out there?" Is the first thing Phantom says to him after he woke up.
Jason goes back inside and is bundled in the fluffiest blankets he's ever seen. He asks what's going on and Phantom freely explains everything from the moment he collected his soul. How Clockwork had announced the unexpected creation of another halfa and the gruesome fate he would've had if Phantom hadn't found him and taken him to the Far Frozen when he did.
"Is that why you feel familiar? I've heard your voice before."
Phantom smiles sadly at him and nods his head in agreement. He apologizes once more for not being able to save him then and for not keeping his soul safe while he was most vulnerable. This is what Jason had imagined happening between him and Bruce so many times. Wishing for him to apologize for not making it in time. For letting the clown live. With some thought, Jason forgives Phantom and wonders at his ability to easily do so with the pit gone.
Jason is advised to stay in the Far Frozen until his core is fully developed and stabilized. Until then, Phantom teaches him what it means to be a halfa as well as about the Infinite Realms and his role as it's ruler. Jason is having a blast, surprisingly. Even more so when introduced to Ghostwriter and given permission to peruse his vast collection of every book ever written. Things are good so far. Things grind to a halt when the yetis call for Jason and Phantom's attention to something rather curious.
The jar that held the lazurus water has reformed into a ball the size of Jason's fist. A ball with large white eyes that looked up at them with black tears rolling down it's face that steadily dripped to the bottom of the jar.

The sentient lazurus blob came out of no where, I swear. Regardless, I've decided the lazurus blob's name is Leslie and no one can change my mind. Their pronouns are they/them/it. Leslie is just scared and heavily misunderstood.
