Stranded (fluff)
Kya and Korra looked at each other in astonishment. “I haven’t heard this song since I left home,” they managed to say in unison.
Asami and Lin exchanged glances, and scooted closer together at the back of the booth. Lin bent to speak in Asami’s ear. “If we look like we’re talking, do you think they’ll leave us alone?”
By the time she looked back, the other two were on the dance floor, showing off for the crowd. They had been joined by a few other women in blue, all grinning and singing along. Lin sipped her drink, her eyes glued to Kya.
Or the spot Kya would be in, if only Korra would move.
She heard Asami’s amused snort just before she got an elbow in the ribs.
“I’d say eyes off my wife, but I know you can’t see her even if she is in front.”
Lin scrunched her face up and looked at Asami who had this insufferably knowing smirk. And who leaned even closer before saying, “No offense, but I’m not looking at Kya, either. Though she is hot.” And then an obnoxious wink.
Lin rolled her eyes, downed her drink, and slammed the glass on the table. She worked her way out of the bench and made her way to the dance floor.
Fifteen seconds later, she left with Kya on her arm.
Korra spun around and fell to the floor without Kya there to catch her. Asami laughed on her way to rescue her not-that-drunk-I-swear wife.
Korra blinked, and stared very hard at all the people around her before giving Asami a bemused look. “Where are Lin and Kya?”
Asami laughed. “I teased Lin and she stranded us. I think Kya is in for a long night. I hope you didn’t wear her out.”
Korra blinked.
Asami stepped a little closer. “Would my big, strong Avatar like to get us home, or did Old Lady Kya wear you out?”
Korra bent just enough to scoop Asami into her arms and carry her out into the night.

MCE The Jaw Droppers 2023 #3: Barbenheimer
How anyone saw what was assumed to be at this point a year ago a slam dunk from Christopher Nolan becoming the 5 hour endurance test that would be embraced by many.
There were mashups, merch, explainers and plenty of support from both sides and others caught in the path of this non grind house double feature.
youtube
A feet that’ll likely never be equal.
Both do have something in common. They were the destroyer of box office worlds.

Countdown to Agatha: Day 787
Agatha: “I love the speech to text feature on my phone, I can dictate written notes whilst I’m working!”
Y/N: “As they say, work smarter, not harder!”
Wanda: “…I don’t know if that feature is as wonderful as you might think”
Agatha: “What do you mean? I’ve been using it for the past week on my newest spell experiments”
Wanda: “Can I read them?” *scrolls through Agatha’s notes* “Yeah, just as I feared”
Agatha: “What, what?”
Y/N: “They can’t be that ba-“ *glances over Wanda’s shoulder* “-did you kiss your mother with that mouth?”
Wanda, finally showing off Agatha’s “notes”: “It picked up on a lot of cursing, some useful stuff, but mostly just you cursing. Selective hearing at its finest.”
Y/N: “Hey, the app censored most of what you said though with little stars though…so maybe you could play fill in the blanks but with foul language?”
Agatha: *defeatedly crumples*

working on building a limbus company id/ego database (probably not hosted on the internet since I'm broke and hate web design with a passion, but I'd like to make it available because it would make team building less painful on my poor silly head), does anybody have any ideas on how to store/classify counters?

Okay what is [tumblr] doing when it comes to clicking through on blogs?? It used to be that if you tapped a blog name in a reblog chain, that it would direct you to that post on their blog. And now it just takes you to the live version of their blog. Which is annoying because usually I'm clicking through to reblog from them to avoid annoying/useless/upsetting reblogs from later in the chain. (Idc about suddenly being on someone's blog from 10 years ago, it's fun).
But now also if I see someone in my dash and want to go to their page it's like??? Just taking me to that specific post?? Why??? I can see the post I don't need to see it without anything else. So I see a poll from @pokemonunderdogtournament and I click through to vote for the other polls but it just takes me to THAT poll. So I have to scroll down and find "more like this" and click randomly until the blog comes up.
!! It's so annoying!!!

Falsely Accused (fluff)
Kya stood at the rail of the ship, scanning the docks for Tenzin and the nibblings. Beside her, people were waving excitedly, shouting to loved ones ashore. She happened to be near the back of the line by some fluke or another, so she was able to see numerous joyous reunions. The lovers, the parents, the old military buddies.
Oddly, there were vanishingly few Air Nation folk in view, none of them her usually very visible brother.
She spent several minutes behind a brace of brothers who managed to make it hard for her to see. She was highly unaccustomed to having her view blocked, and it was starting to aggravate her. But one more turn of the line, and she could see the assembly again.
It was noticeably thinner than before. Still no Tenzin.
She frowned. She was so very sure she had cabled him with her ship and arrival time.
She sighed. It wasn’t the first time she would make her way home alone.
“Kya!”
She snapped her head up. Lin?
There, at the end of the gangway, was Lin, dressed as casually as Kya could ever remember seeing her. At least, if one could include a fitted but oversized suit with a stylish black blouse in the category of “casual.”
And in her arms were a bouquet and a stuffed otter-penguin, with a bright yellow balloon tied around its middle.
Kya smiled, and flung her bags down near Lin’s feet to try to wriggle in for a hug.
“Lin! Why isn’t Tenzin here?”
Lin got a cagey look on her face. “I’ll explain later. May I take you to dinner?”
Kya pulled her head back to look at Lin again. She saw a tentatively hopeful person who looked afraid of being rejected. She smiled softly.
“That sounds lovely.”
Lin gave her a small smile and a nod, handed Kya her gifts, and picked up the bags.
Just a little while later, Lin was turning her keys over to a valet in front of the Four Elements Hotel. She again shouldered Kya’s bags, and led her through a locked door near the host’s desk.
Kya gasped when Lin opened the door to the room, revealing a plate glass window looking over Yue Bay, with the lighthouse just visible. Out on the balcony, lanterns were strung above a table set for two.
Kya looked at Lin in wonder.
“What is all this?”
Lin brought over a glass of wine for Kya, along with a small strawberry. She smiled warmly.
“I have been falsely accused of not having a romantic bone in my body. You are the only one who gets to know just how wrong they are.”
