Storm Warning (Black Pearl Cookie)

Yes, this is the sequel to Even More Heartbreak. Enjoy!

“Alright, take care of yourself, Y/N Cookie! Do be careful, the weather isn’t looking nice lately!”

You bided farewell to the shopkeeper as you exited, giving them a smile as you did so. The more you walked however, that smile slowly started to fade into a frown as you looked down at the ground, not wanting to look up at the brewing grey clouds forming at the sky.

You kept telling yourself that it was only natural that days without a single cloud in the sky could only mean the opposite when came time for a downpour, it was what you wanted to believe, because it meant having to consider other..unnatural options for this weather.

You didn’t want to dwell on it much further, you wanted to prep something nice for your beloved today, Seaweed Cookie. A chance meeting at the mud flats was all it took for the both of you to hit it off, she was able to fix what was once broken for you. She was the one to be there for you at your lowest, in her own odd way, but you treasured it nonetheless! The thought of her brought the smile back onto your face…

*CRASH!*

The sudden roar of thunder spooked you enough to make you want to jump! The shopkeeper wasn’t kidding about the weather as you make a dash to your home! You looked up at the sky and could see the clouds gathering on mass as you ran. That was all the confirmation you needed, no need to even look at the sea. Never at the sea…

Especially when the faint sound of crying can be heard…

It was enough to practically have you bust down your door and close it behind you with the lock. It wouldn’t have done anything in actuality, but whatever amount of security was good enough for you. You had to quickly put down your items as you did your best to remain out of sight.

The sound of her crying was your first and only warning to hide. You didn’t know how, but the mermaid had somehow learned of your home city and has stuck around since. You feared what she would do if she had found you, what she would do to the Lower City, it was only a matter of time-

The sound of your door knocking made you jump again for today. It would snap you out of your thoughts, You couldn’t hear any more crying, making you confident enough to get up and head for the door.

“Happy to see you don’t keep a lady waiting, especially in weather like this..”

You mentally breathe a sigh of relief to see that it was Seaweed Cookie. You gladly let her in as you prepared a nice dinner between the two of you.

Seaweed talks about her routine of maintaining the mudflats, sometimes delving into this one time a cookie had showed disrespect by stomping around in it! How rude!

She then looks outside to see the rain coming in, taking interest in how hard the droplets were coming down onto the window.

“The weather seems particularly angry, it hasn’t let up for the past few days. It’s making the mud loose, washing away into the sea. Oh those who had been buried in there, their remains forever lost to sea..”

You had to hide how you winced when she stated that, having your grave being washed away into the sea. It was clearly not how any of those cookies would’ve wanted..

You held Seaweed Cookie’s hand tight, letting her know that you’d help her to make sure the mud remained stable enough to weather through the rain. Seaweed’s mouth curled up into a noticeable smile.

“Coming to my rescue as always, my hero~ Hehe…that’s always what I love about you~ I’ll be sure to give my hero a very nice reward for their troubles..”

She leaned towards you to kiss you on your cheek, something that you couldn’t help but blush madly about. She giggled at your flustered state, you were simply too cute for her to resist~

The storm only seemed to grow worse from there…

You had Seaweed Cookie stay over for the night, the rain was just pouring down too hard for her to walk home. You had situated yourself in your living room with a blanket over you, your lamp illuminating the room.

The sounds of heavy rain pattering your window serving as background noise, interrupted with occasional lightning and thunder. It oddly lulled you to sleep as you close your eyes…

Only to open them quickly as you stood up, you were no longer on a bed, but in a boat. You got up as you frantically looked all around you, your house nowhere in sight. The Lower City itself was no longer anywhere…just open sea…

Sniff….sob…..sob

The sounds of crying was heard…

…but it sounded more..genuine, as if the cookie was really crying tears of sorrow…

You looked around you again, this time being able to spot something, or someone, resting on a rock only a fair distance away. She looked like…but she was different in appearance. As if…

You wanted to approach, to see if you can help the mercookie in any way…but…this familiar feeling to stay back was also present. Why…? This only made you feel more conflicted…

A creak from your boat had decided for you. The mercookie’s head shot up from her arms and turned to you, tears staining her cheeks.

You…asked if she was okay.

“I-I’m okay. It’s just….my heart, it hurts…”

You gently take her hand into yours, hoping your assistance could help her. You tell her that she isn’t alone…

“You mean that?”

“You won’t…betray me? My heart can’t handle another blow, I already too many things at once…”

You understand that you were a stranger to her, that you couldn’t be fully trusted, but…you still wanted to help. The mercookie spoke softly to you, still sniffling.

“Do you what it’s like..? To have someone you hold dear destroy everything you had thought of them as? To have your heart crumble bit by bit?”

You…told her that this feeling was…familiar to you, something that catches her attention as she looks at you.

You had..wished to dedicate your heart and love to a cookie you wanted to meet for months. You were overjoyed when you got to see her at last, you had proclaimed your love for her…only, she didn’t feel the same at all. Even tossed everything you gave her back at you…you were destroyed…

“You…”

However, you got back up. You kept moving on, with help from others. Even if the cookie you once cared for tossed you aside, you held no real malice towards her. You understood and just…let her go.

The sounds of crying halted your speaking, as the mercookie clutched your hand tightly.

“Y/N Cookie. I’m…I’m so sorry…”

You tell her it was okay, you had learned to live with it-

“N-no. I really do mean it…I’m sorry, Y/N Cookie…”

Again, you told her…wait…you didn’t remember giving your name to her…

“I was scared. I was afraid of being hurt again. After what he did…but I should’ve seen you as different than him…”

“You were better than him…”

She clutched your hand tighter.

That feeling of dread returned in full force as you looked at her, trying to remain calm. Only to be meet with that shadowed stare right back at you..

“To think we’ve could’ve been together, you and I…”

“I was a fool to push you away…”

“But I promise to change that. I won’t let you go again. To love you with all of my being…..”

“Let us join in the Sea together…”

You had enough and broke free from her hold as you paddled away with your hands, rain started to patter on you.

The sound of crying returned…

Sniff…sob…sob…

…as it slowly turned to giggling…

“Sob…hehe….hehe…”

….then into laughter….

“Hehe…AHAHAHAHAHA!”

You turned around and your heart had never been struck with so much fear…

Black. Pearl. Cookie.

“AHAHAHAHAHA! You think you can escape me AGAIN?! HOW ADORABLE!”

“And when that wretched, laughable waste of life is reduced to nothing, it will just be me and you again~”

Your hands turned soggy the faster you paddled with them, not caring if they were reduced to soggy stumps. You needed to get away.

You felt your arms being grabbed as you yelped out, it looked like more sea cookies had joined you as they held your arms close to them, two at each side.

To your left, mercookies of crimson and purple. To the right, a jellyfish and a mercookie of blue.

They were pale and weak-looking, as if they haven’t nourishment in days, with deranged eyes staring deep into yours. They all spoke in unison.

“Please…stay with us. Stay. Stay. Stay.”

The laughing behind you grew louder and louder as you frantically tried to pull free.

The last thing you saw as you turned around was Black Pearl Cookie rushing towards you in the water.

“LET US FALL INTO THE DEEPEST OF OCEAN ABYSSES TOGETHER!!

The crash of lightning made you spring up from your couch with a loud yelp as you held your chest tightly, trying to breathe.

“Are you okay?!”

Seaweed Cookie came to your side, holding you tightly as you tried to calm down your breathing. It took a while but you’ve managed to settle down, thanking Seaweed Cookie as you kissed her cheek.

You allowed her to return to your room, as you went to collect your thoughts in your kitchen, wishing that it was just a bizarre dream.

Who was that familiar cookie?

What was she talking about with a cookie she had known?

Who were those mercookies?

It felt way too much unlike a dream.

….but you prayed that it was.

You could hear giggling out in the distance.

You turned to your window into the morning rain.

White, pinprick eyes far into the ocean stared right back at you as the giggling turned into laughter. The heavy rain doing little to muffle it out.

She…had found you.

Ah the gem mermaids, so majestic and all of them can take your breath away just by looking at you but it just so happened that you are their favourite <3

When you were as young as them, your mer parents explained that you are the young gem mermaids source of happiness, they trust you and cherish you, and as you two grew up they still feel how their heart is captured by you and only you <333

"Just like you looked out for me when I was hurt, I'll always do the same for you"

✧When you just started to serve for the gem mermaids you were assigned to accompany the young crimson coral cookie

✦When she would train and learn how to ride the sea horses you always kept a really close eye on her, you never wanted for your lady to be hurt after all!

✧And if she did get hurt in the process you'd always hurry to check if she was injured and if she was then you'd always have some extra kelp to patch up her wounds

✦Even if she was hurting she couldn't help but feel always way better when she would hear your voice, it calmed her down and brought her down to earth and distracted her from her injuries

✧As you grew older she always insisted that you take more frequent breaks because she hated when you'd feel burned out

✦As you were teens she had a rebellious phase and she often insisted on taking you on a ride on her sea horse and explore beyond Tearcrown, sometimes she'd even sneak out quality foods and sweets that only loyalty could eat so you can have at least a taste.

✧After growing up she accepted that she has feelings for you and sees you as equal, and one day as she took you to your childhood favourite spot and there she confessed in the privacy of your secret place, and as you sat there you two made two bracelets for eachother that represented your love for each other

✦And by her orders she explained to the guards that she would feel way safer if you'd join her for the night and that's how now you guys are cuddling close, to each others arms, and this action always brings crimson coral closure and piece

✧She really likes holding you and you holding her, her entire day schedule is filled with little to to physical touch, so, at the end of the day, having you in her grasp, just brings her so much happiness and just a calm feeling that drives her to a peaceful slumber.

Mystic Opal cookie

"To be honest, I wouldn't know what I would have done without you"

𖤓One thing she vividly remembers is this specific scenario from when she was younger:

𖤓'sat in front of the mirror, and some of her sisters trying their best to untangle her hair without it biting their arms off, so her hair would always be unstylised and sometimes tangled in which thay would make her quite insecure'

𖤓But when she heard that you'd be a sort of personal maid/butler for her she was kind of concerned how her hair would react because she didn't want it to intimate you or hurt you

𖤓But surprisingly it didn't really have a problem with you, it didn't have a problem with you touching it, brushing it and overall styling it. She was in awe when you managed to do it for the first time and from then on she insisted that you'd help her with this matter

𖤓Slowly by having hair styling sessions you two would talk with eachother and open up about past experiences, what you liked and didn't like etc etc.

𖤓And as time went by you two became inseparable, and because of her more closed off nature she really placed a lot trust in you, she'd always trust you with some more sensitive feelings of hers and she'd always appreciate the way you'd reassure her and your presence would always make her feel better.

𖤓After a while when she noticed she had feelings she mostly kept them to herself, of course you are the one that she trusts the most, but it felt like something so intimate that she just had to keep it in

𖤓But even if it was a secret, her actions weren't repressed one bit, now she'd subconsciously stand closer to you, her finns would flapp and rice up when she'd see you and the star that hangs at the back of her head would glow just a little brighter.

𖤓And Golden Citrine cookie teased the hell out of Mystic Opal when she caught up with her infatuation with you and by the end encouraged her to confess because by the end of the day she can't just hide her feelings forever

𖤓And she took het sisters advice at heart and the hole week she was preparing herself to confess but by the end of the week she was so stressed about confessing to you that she accidentally distanced herself away from you

𖤓And as you were preparing her hair for her night routine before bed you questioned if you did something to upset her, at that moment she realised she can't take it no longer and just let it all out

𖤓By the end, she ended up crying because it was never her intention to hurt you because you were so beloved to her but she was afraid how you'd react but by the end after comforting her and taking about it she gave you the most gentle kiss on the cheek

𖤓Even if that is one of her first relationships, she's actually a really good partner, she's calm collected and when you two are alone she feels so safe with you that she lets herself and her emotions to be vulnerable without worrying about any sort of judgement

𖤓She feels so happy and comfortable with you, she just wished she could give you all of the love of the sea just for you to have

Golden Citrine cookie

"Wanna join me on another trinket hunt?"

❂When she first met you the very first thing that she did was bring her to her room to show you the various golden trinkets that she found from those hollow whales!

❂They all looked to mesmerized undet the moonlight and their reflection could easily light up her room with a really soft golden light

❂She mostly would sneak you out Tearcrown so you'd have some time alone and find more trinkets for her to add to her collection

❂At these treasure hunting trips she'd be as exited to talk and rant about how some things tip her off, just like how crimson coral doesn't really get her sarcasm but she'd be as excited to hear more about you!

❂She'd always insists in you joining the rest of the gem mermaids everywhere because she considers you as family and deeply cares about you

❂Another thing you'd do together was cleaning up any dirty trinkets, because after all she wants them to shine brightly under the sun and the moon light!

❂She has a surprisingly good maintained hair! She just enjoys not having it tied up and letting it free so she never really insisted on having hair care sessions because it was so easily maintainable

❂The moment she realised she had feelings for you is when you two would on one of your treasure/trinket hunting adventures and you'd look so interested in her little rant on how much she loves her shiny jewelry, your expression was so focused and interested on what she had to say that she outright confessed right here and there!

❂Of course later on, around that night before coming back to Tearcrown she said that she genuinely ment it and that she truly really does adore you and asked you properly if you'd like to be her partner

Aquamarine cookie

"Today I found a new flower that never has seen before and I named it after you"

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Ooooo she remembers so clearly how when you first showed up she instantly just brought you to her garden!

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Aquamarines garden was a old greenhouse that eventually got sinked by the sea so she made herself a home there

.𖥔 ݁ ˖You'd mostly help out with different tasks in her garden like: caring out different types of sand/soils that her plants need

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Or she'd join you by going to far away markets to get new seeds for her garden and even when talking care of the plants she'd rant on and on about their properties, from where they originated, how to properly take care of them ect.

.𖥔 ݁ ˖One day she was sick so she couldn't attend the garden and you were nowhere to be found, she wanted to start looking for you because your presence comforted her but her sisters insisted on her resting

.𖥔 ݁ ˖But once everyone was asleep she sneaked out her room and started looking out for you, once she was ready to give up she decided to see how her garden was doing

.𖥔 ݁ ˖To her surprise she found you there! You were half asleep taking care of the last plant that needed care

.𖥔 ݁ ˖She felt as her heart quickened and warmed up, and as she gently swam at you and brought you to her embrace just to take you to her room for you to rest as well

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Having you near her while she was sleeping and in a vulnerable state she felt so safe, even if there was nothing to worry about she felt protected and she felt like she could protect you at any time

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Her confessing would be at her garden, it would be a lovely night where the moonlight would shine though the glass of the greenhouse giving you two a warm illumination just bright enough to be able to see eachother + some of her bioluminescent plants would be glowing too

.𖥔 ݁ ˖As you two took care of the last plants she took a deep breath and handed you over a flower in a glass sphere, it was so beautiful! It even had the ability to glow in the dark!

.𖥔 ݁ ˖As she handled it to you she took one of your hands and held it as she confessed how much she liked you and how happy you make her so she wanted you to have one of her secret flowers that she kept hidden so noone would steal it

.𖥔 ݁ ˖After getting to a relationship with her it because a tradition to the both of you to grow rare types of plants during the year so when your anniversary comes up you two can give it to eachother as presents in a glass sphere <33

Cookie Run Kingdom Kimura AU - Chapter 1 (Preview)

For those who are interested in my upcoming CRK AU called Herb Kimura! Modern Day Prince of Nature, here's a small preview of one of the scenes that will be shown in the first chapter for that small AU revolving around Herb Kimura (aka; Herb Cookie)

After heading up to his bedroom and tending to his plants that are hanging out by the balcony, Herb pulled out his special pastel colored seashell. With a help of a small app, the young cookie was quickly teleported to the Midnight Garden.

The aforementioned garden is part of a castle that houses the Legendary Status Cookies. Similarly, Ancient Status Cookies will go here to attend to some important meetings within that very area, helping out the Legendary Status Cookies.

He kindly entered the room, where a mixture of Legendary and Ancient Cookies are seen seated around a large round table.

"Ah, dear Herb Kimura!", the leading legendary cookie named Moonlight Nightlight approached the young teen legendary cookie slowly, "You came in just in time. A meeting between us legendaries and ancients will commence momentarily."

Herb bowed down to Moonlight in a formal manner, and went over to sit down in the seat beside his mother Sea Fairy. The young legendary smiled at his mother, happy to see her calm and collected look.

"How have you been my little Herb?", Sea Fairy calmly smiled at her young son.

Herb lightly snuggled his mother, "Even if we just talked this morning through the seashell call, I still miss you a lot mom."

The watery-haired woman acknowledged, and gently pet her young child in the head in such a motherly manner. From there, Moonlight began the meeting amongst legendaries and ancients.

While the meeting was going around between cookies, Herb slowly began to feel a little bit sleepy after another fun day with everyone, both high-ranked and ordinary cookies alike. He eventually closes his eyes peacefully, not knowing that he drifted to sleep.

It was then, when the young teen legendary cookie opened his eyes, everything was seen as strange. He woke up seamlessly in an enchanted forest, a place he recognizes but rarely goes into.

"What on Earthbread??", Herb muttered a small whisper, "How did I end up here?"

He gently got up from the soft grass, before beginning to wander around quietly. The young cookie looked around the slightly quiet environment, noticing that not a single cookie nor animal was around.

Just as he was about to question how and why he was here, there was a sudden crash coming from a short distance away from him.

"Eep!", the green-haired legendary yelped in shock, witnessing a tree getting struck by a huge red lightning.

A menacing laugh emerged from the deepest parts of the woods. Coming from a red-and-black woman that Herb has heard of thanks to the rest of the legendary and ancient cookies.

Loads of despair and agony was being spread across the forest, as the evilly dark cookie continues to attack. Several cookie screams were heard, and a lot of blurry silhouettes was running for their lives.

"Oh my gosh…!", Herb gasped. His Clover Soul Jam glowed much brighter, and it wasn't just a typical faint glow. It was instead a glow that was as bright as a nightlight, perfect to dispel of any nightmares that come close.

From there, the legendary cookie teen powered up his floral magic, ready to fight back to save the fellow cookies. Trying to fight back against the darkness that is consuming the forest and hurting such innocent ounces of youth.

"You…", Herb muttered just as he got close towards the evil red-and-black cookie, "You must be the Dark Enchantress Cookie that my mom and the others talked about throughout the past few years…"

The sadistic-looking cookie, Dark Enchantress Cookie, simply smirked as she saw the young green-haired teen with a timid but also determined look on his face.

She knows that he's willing to stop at nothing to protect those that he cares about, and began to summon loads of monsters and projectiles in his way. Slowly becoming a bit furious that Herb was dodging all her attacks, and fending himself from the summoned monsters.

But that sense of luck didn't last long for Herb, as he was quickly knocked down by the dark cookie herself by being struck by her long staff.

"N-No…", Herb whispered, trying to get up from his slightly beaten state, "I won't let you hurt anyone…!"

Dark Enchantress Cookie was about to strike him with a more powerful bolt of lightning, but was quickly stopped when another cookie stepped in and protected him.

That cookie wasn't a silhouette like the ones that were fleeing for their lives, but was more visible than the dark cookie herself. He looked slightly older than Herb, probably around 16-years old, or just 15-years and a few months. Long black hair with a white streak was flowing against the progressively windy forest, and he was wearing what seems to be a prince-like outfit.

"Are you alright?", the older cookie asked stoically, slowly reaching his hand out and helping Herb up to his feet.

Herb himself replied with much relief, "I'm okay now, thanks to you!"

A small huff came out of the black-haired cookie's mouth, as a small sense of gratitude emerged. Relief was cut short when a lightning nearly hit them both, but the two cookies were lucky enough to dodge it at the last moment.

"Guess we have to stand our ground, and fight for the safety of the cookies inhabiting Earthbread!", he said with such bravery and thought of justice.

Herb got his floral magic ready once again, and the black-haired teen pulled out a strong but heavy-looking sword. The two proceeded to fight against Dark Enchantress Cookie, and were fast to work together as a team.

The green-haired cookie managed to reach her again, getting closer and ready to strike with a timid but determined look to save everyone.

But just as he was about to strike, everything around him paused. Everything and everyone, except for the black-haired teen and Herb himself.

"Wh-What the?!", Herb gasped in shock and confusion, "Did everything just stop?"

"It seems like it…", the older teen took notice as well, "Wait… Aren't you-?"

Suddenly, there was a bright light figure slowly emerging through the sky, floating down towards both cookies. The white-haired cookie, complete with floral assets in her appearance, approached the two cookies.

"It won't just be you two that will fight against Dark Enchantress Cookie…", the bright cookie muttered to them, "There will be more cookies that will help you both out on your unsuspected journey…"

Herb felt the Clover Soul Jam glow even more bright. But before he could ask any questions towards the white-haired woman, the whole room became filled with light!

"Oh gosh!!", Herb yelped in shock. He nearly fell out of bed from the sudden visuals that he just saw now.

Quickly looking around at his surroundings, only to find out that he was back at home in the city he resides in. Silently getting out of bed, just to see what time it is. Currently it was around 1am the next day.

"It was only a dream…", Herb muttered quietly. Feeling a mixture of relief but also concern, he was unsure whether or not that dream was trying to tell him something.

That dream must be telling him something, it has to be! If his gifted Clover Soul Jam was glowing more brighter than the generically faint light it always shares, it might be a coming of an upcoming unlucky event that is ready to strike.

Regardless, the green-haired legendary cookie looked at the text he got from the pastel seashell which read the following:

"Hello my little Herb! I apologize if the Legendary and Ancient Meeting took a bit longer, seeing that you fell asleep during the middle of it. I gently tucked you into bed after the meeting was finished that night. Although I hope you're doing okay. You were shivering in your sleep, and I was very concern. Nevertheless, I'll call you again in the morning as always. Love you my kindhearted flower! -Mom"

Herb sighed deeply after he finished reading the text that Sea Fairy sent him. Quietly placing the seashell down on the lampshade post before lying down on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Wondering what on Earthbread was that, the young teen himself believed that he will find out soon enough within these coming weeks.

Antagonized

Innocent until proven guilty, that’s my take.

You looked down to the floor of your jail cell, hands cuffed together as you sat in silence, trying to take in what had just happened that led to you winding up in here.

You were arrested for the theft of Cheese Stones in Pumpkin Cookie’s Appraisal, being the only Cookie at the scene when alarms were raised. You swore up and down that you were only there to have Melon Bun’s stones apprised for her, but cops at the scene didn’t want to hear it. Cheese Stones were stolen, you had a bagful of them, and you were a new face around these parts, you had to be the crook.

You never would’ve expected to find yourself at the back of a police car today, getting your mugshot, then placed into a cell as they started their investigation into the matter. You again swore that you had nothing to do with this matter, but the guards putting you into your cell could care less for what a crook had to say.

So here you were, sitting in silence within your cell, awaiting your sentencing. Your hands were shaking, you’ve never been arrested before, let alone about to be prosecuted.

It was made worse based on the fact that you didn’t anything…

Almond Cookie wasn’t buying any of this. YOU, Y/N Cookie, known for your benevolence and being an all-loving friend to fellow cookies, is being arrested for theft?

No.

He’s investigating further, he’s going after the rookies who were at the scene for doing such a sloppy job and making arrests before the facts were in. They couldn’t even be bothered to get your account on the crime before they threw you in the back of a police car. Almond Cookie couldn’t bear to see your mugshot, that look at sorrow in your face and the sadness in your eyes..Almond couldn’t stand it.

Solving this case was the least of his worries. Word had gone out about your arrest and now Almond had to deal with a number of cookies expressing their outrage and sympathy for you.

What a calamity, Truffle Cookie thought. To think that you of all cookies would be arrested came as a surprise to her. She’d politely request Almond Cookie to solve the case, but that polite tone contrasted her shadowy eyed look. He BETTER find the true culprit, she refused to accept that you were the felon, and Almond might just have to accept what comes to him if you’re put away for good. His closets or under the bed will never be safe.

Almond Cookie, the Cookie that helped her with the painting affair in the past, has now decided that you were to be locked up without even an investigation on who did it in the first place? Talk about shotty detective work, Butter Pretzel Cookie thinks. Her frustration is more personal on the fact that she wanted to unveil a portrait of you when you were free, so being arrested really put a damper on her mood.

Lollipop Cookie didn’t understand. You, a cookie she’s known for a while, arrested? But…you never showed signs of being a criminal, she was having to be consoled by Butterbear after a bout of crying. You said that you would visit the shop the next day to spend time with her and Butterbear, she was really looking forward to it and was saddened that it couldn’t happen now. She’ll plead with Almond to set you free, you haven’t done anything wrong!

Melon Bun herself showed up to the witness testimonies and gave her account that you really were just doing an errand for her! She was worried when you didn’t return after a few hours and was caught off guard when Pumpkin told that you were jailed! She felt guilty for what happened and will personally see to it that you were freed! She only hopes you don’t hate her after this…

Almond was done gathering testimonies and started to lay out the pieces together.

You started the day by visiting Truffle Cookie to have tea time together, having pleasant small talk with her. (Truffle Cookie did have to pause her testimony as she held her blushing cheeks, ah, you said so much sweet things to her, she felt like a highschool girl with a crush.)

You then visited Butter Pretzel to help with her paintings, she needed more materials and she’s worried that stepping away will make her current work dry out before she can get more. She wanted you to stay and draw you a portrait, it was a long task however. She grew frustrated that she couldn’t perfectly replicate you in art form, she had to throw away so many drafts before she finally got one to satisfy her standards. Oddly enough, she closed her shop for the day right around when she started to work on your portrait.

Finally, you visited Melon Bun, who wanted your help to get her cheese stones appraised, but couldn’t leave the mine. She didn’t want Goblin Cookie running off with the haul she had right now! You agreed and Melon Bun promised that when you got back, you two were gonna have a pizza date! Looking forward to it, you grabbed the bag of cheese stones and made your way to the Appraisal.

Unfortunately, this would be right around the time that the Appraisal would be robbed of their array of cheese stones, done by a currently unknown Cookie. However, the pictures at the crime scene left details that Almond Cookie knew all too well.

This…felon was the one that had done this, this crook had always been a thorn to Almond Cookie’s side. The more Almond Cookie pieced together the evidence, the more guilty he had got.

Almond made his way to the jail cells, moving past the four cookies who went after him, ignoring their questions as he reached the cells. You plagued his mind, the look of sorrow on your mugshot coming back to him. That only made his pace faster.

He had to get to you.

The weight was finally lifted off your shoulders when the fell opened and your cuffs were unlocked, Almond Cookie knelt down to meet your gaze.

He…wanted to apologize for every mistake this station had done to you. It was a mistake to have arrested you blindly, to have you even jailed here, Almond wanted to personally meet the officer that made the arrest and give them a reminder of why you don’t arrest innocent cookies.

He guided you out of your cells, to meet the four cookies that had arrived after hearing the news.

Lollipop wanted to hug you and ask if you were okay, but you rejected her attempt. You..wanted to be alone right now, get some coffee, and just shake off the day. Lollipop understood…but that tear that came out betrayed her words.

Truffle held your arm and expressed relief that you were innocent, would you…care for some tea? She wanted to help take your mind this whole incident, she’ll make yours especially sweet! You shrugged off her hold and told her some other time. To Truffle Cookie’ her heart shattered as she let go, looking down somberly.

Butter Pretzel caught your attention and asked if you wanted to see your portrait! She finished it and hoped that she captured your sweetness, she really wanted you to like it and to an extent…like her. You did your best to be polite and turned down right now, but you promise to look at it some other time. She says it’s fine…but the thoughts of striking Almond over the head with the painting say otherwise.

Melon Bun wanted to apologize big time for getting you into this mess, she didn’t mean to get you arrested, she didn’t mean for you to go through this experience, she hoped this whole thing was scrubbed off your clean record. Please don’t hate her

Almond was the same, he wanted to apologize for the station’s mistakes and responded to Melon Bun’s worries that this incident will be removed and wiped off, he’ll see to it personally that it does. He hopes that this situation doesn’t make you afraid of him or any authority, but when you couldn’t make eye contact with him, his fears might have been realized.

You announced your departure with a strained smile as you went home. As soon as you were out of view, the four cookies quickly turned to Almond Cookie, their glowing eyes shadowed in darkness, brimmed with murderous intent.

Almond defended himself, stating that was this crooked cookie that was responsible for this crime, let’s go after them instead of bickering here. Almond himself was incredibly angry too…the mere possibility that this cookie can get away with possibly ruining Almond’s relationship with you…enrages him.

The next day’s news covered a brutal attack on a now jailed cookie, their dough bruised and cracked enough to leave noticeable injuries. Almond expressed no sympathy for the criminal, saying they deserved what they got. He shrugged off and disregarded the traces of butter, spiders, and cheese found on the perp, and especially the black eye the cookie had.

Butter Pretzel hummed as she painted a new portrait of you, who knew that bits of jam could really bring out the eyes.

Melon Bun whistles as she cleaned her pickaxe, watching over her shoulder every now and then. She didn’t want others to see the strawberry jam on it.

Truffle sipped on her tea as she heard the news over radio, giggling to herself as a shadow was casted over her eyes.

Lollipop wasn’t that invested into the news, she was busy spending time playing with you in the workshop, with Butterbear watching over the two of you with a laugh. As long as you were here, Lollipop didn’t really care what becomes of that thief.

All of them wouldn’t mind if this criminal was put away for good though. Because getting out meant facing these cookies again…and they can hold a grudge.

a/n: is it bad that when i went to the store today and saw pure vanilla extract on the shelf i thought of pure vanilla cookie

Pure Vanilla Cookie has noticed the lack of letters you've been sending him recently.

Of course, he knows that ruling a kingdom is no simple ordeal, and, of course, there's no way you would be able to send him a letter every day. However, despite that, you've always made sure to send him letters frequently and inform him of every nifty little thing going on in your life.

That is, up until roughly three and a half weeks ago.

You used to send him letters every four or five days to keep him updated on everything going on in your kingdom, and he always wrote back when he received your letters. However, when he responded to a letter you sent about three and a half weeks ago, you hadn't written anything back to him.

He found this behavior very strange, as you were always enthusiastic about being able to talk with him whenever you got the chance. Pure Vanilla Cookie was, frankly, getting rather worried about you and how you were doing. So, he decided to take a trip over to your kingdom to see for himself what was wrong.

When he finally arrived, Pure Vanilla Cookie was quick to stride towards your castle, making haste towards your office, where you spent most of your time. Gently knocking on the door, he quietly entered the room, as to not disturb you too much. He immediately notices your eyebags, the empty coffee mugs littered around your desk, and the way you don't even glance at him when he enters the room, thinking it was just some servant needing to ask a quick question or something of the like. Needless to say, when he spoke up, you immediately turned and stared at him in surprise.

"My Dear, has everything been okay lately?" He gently asks. "Ah! Pure Vanilla Cookie? What are you doing here?" You respond, shocked. You had no idea he was coming, you had no time to prepare, you didn't want him to see you like this.

"Are you alright?" He slowly walks toward you before draping his cloak over your shoulders, "You haven't responded to my letter for weeks, and you look awfully tired. How long have you been sitting here working today?" He looks at you with worry swirling in his eyes.

As you sit there failing to answer his question, he gently places a hand on your head and caresses your hair, sighing, "You need to remember to take care of yourself, you know. You can hardly handle this much work in the state that you're in. Why don't you rest for a bit?"

You look at him with tired eyes, attempting to provide a counter-argument, "I know, I know, but-" "No buts. You're going to go lay in bed and read a nice book to help you de-stress. I'll also fetch you some tea. Then, perhaps you can take a nap. You'll feel a lot better when you wake up," He suddenly picked you up, carrying you back to your bedroom before you can even say anything. Perhaps he was right though, as you were indeed doing a lot better the next morning. Perhaps self-care really is important after all.

"Missing Chili"

"-Brave!"

"Gingerbrave!"

"GingerBrave!"

"GINGERBRAVE!!"

He woke up and saw Pink Velvet, Wizard and Strawberry looking at him with worried looks on their faces.

"Oh thank god you're alright!" Pink Velvet said as she hugged him.

"GingerBrave, did you have any injuries on you?" Strawberry ask as she hold his hand in concern.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." He said but he noticed something, Chili Pepper wasn't there.

"Wait where's Chili?"

This caught Pink's attention as she pulled herself away from him and looked around the room only and realize that Chili wasn't with them.

"Guy's, where's Anise?!"

"Wait I thought she was with you Camelia!"

"I thought she was behind Fragaria!"

"She is..."

Then she sigh and let go of GingerBrave's hand.

"I'll go look for her."

Then she left the room.

"Anyway..." Pink Velvet said before looking at GingerBrave "What happened in that ruin?"

He took a deep breath "I was walking inside of the ruin to look around while waiting for you guys, then I accidentally opened a passage way."

"A passage way? You mean the same one where me, Pink, and Alchemist found you?" Wizard said.

"Yes, it was completely dark well at first, then I saw a light, a green light."

"There wasn't any lights where we found you."

"It was an orb, a orb of light."

"Wait what do you mean by that?"

"I don't know, but that lady gave me this." He said as he showed a jade green coloured fleur-de-lis gem but it seems to have shattered.

"Wait what is that?" Wizard said.

"I don't know. Maybe one of your books has a history for this one."

"Not sure, but I'll try." He said as he took the gem from Brave's hand and left the room leaving him, Pink Velvet, and Custard the III alone.

"Balen, how are you feeling?" Pink asked "I'm fine it just there's a lot going on today." He said.

Meanwhile with Strawberry/Fragaria she was in the town square of the Cookie Kingdom searching for Chili Pepper/Anise but to no avail.

She sigh "Where is she, she couldn't have gone suddenly right behind me right?"

"Searching for Chili Pepper Cookie right?"

She squeaks as she sees a tall male cookie right behind her, it was Wildberry Cookie, Chili Pepper's crush.

"Yeah, it just that she is missing right behind behind me as we got GingerBrave back to the castle."

"I see, want me to with you?"

"S-sure."

And thus the 2 Berry cookies started searching for Chili Pepper all over the Rollcake forest to search for her but to no avail but neither of them are going to give up, until Strawberry Cookie found something on the ground.

It was some sort of a blue oval shape gem, Chili Pepper always has this one with her like all the time, she never told the reason where she got this from.

She picked up the stone and went to Wildberry.

"Found anything?" The pink haired bodyguard asked "No, but I found this." She said as she handed out the stone, it was glowing. Glowing like fire.

"This stone?"

"Anise always have this with her all the time, she never told us the reason why she have this. She said it's a good luck charm and that's it."

"Maybe this have something to do with her sudden dissapearance?"

"I'm pretty sure."

"Maybe we could go back here tomorrow, it's getting dark soon."

"Yeah, you're right."

Soon both of them return to the Kingdom without Chili Pepper, just her stone.

"You can't find her?" Wizard said as both Strawberry and Wildberry return to tell them the news.

"Se look everywhere for her but she was nowhere to be found." She said sadly.

"But we found something." Wildberry said.

Then Fragaria handed out Chili's stone to Wizard who's eyes widened.

"Wait a minute isn't this stone from the Dragon's Valley?!"

This revelation made both Strawberry and Wildberry shook, the Dragon's Valley?

"She never told us anything about this stone being from the Dragon's Valley."

Now that she thinks about the only things that they know about Chili is that she's the most wanted thief on Earthbread, have a younger brother who she had a strained relationship with and that's it, nothing about her origins, nothing about where she come from and nothing about her parents.

Chili Pepper Cookie is a very secretive woman and very private about her personal life outside of being a criminal.

"We should search for her again tomorrow." Wildberry said as Strawberry nodded quietly.

The next morning in the Kingdom GingerBrave, Strawberry, Wizard, Custard the III, Pink Velvet and Wildberry we're searching for Chili Pepper as usual in the Rollcake forest, the very forest that Anise have dissapeared in.

Flashback

"Chili have what?!" GingerBrave said as he, Wizard, Custard the III and Pink received the news that Chili Pepper Cookie have dissapeared into thin air.

"We have been searching for her all over the forest but she was nowhere to be found." Wildberry said as he pitched his nose with his fingers, where did she go?

"Did you find anything?" Pink Velvet said as she looked at the door that lead to Chili's room.

"Yes, we found something like this." Strawberry said as she pulled out the stone from her hoodie.

"The stone is from the Dragon's Valley, and I haven't found anything about the stone from any of my books." Wizard said he scrambled over the pages of the book on any information about the fire stone.

"We could search for her again." Custard the III said as he gripped his staff.

Flashback ends

"Anise! Anise where are you?!" Camelia yelled out.

"Chili Pepper! Chili Pepper!" Wizard yelled out.

"Chili! Chili! Chili!" GingerBrave screamed out.

"Where did she go?" Strawberry said "I'm not sure." Wildberry said

That was until they reach a certain spot, the same one where both Strawberry and Wildberry found the stone.

"Wait a minute!" Strawberry yelled out, catching the others attention.

"What's wrong Strawberry?" GingerBrave asked.

"This place..." Strawberry said. "Is the same one where we found the stone."

Everything became silent for the moment.

"So we come to a conclusion that Chili Pepper dissapeared in this spot." Wizard said as both Strawberry and Wildberry nodded.
