The gem mermaids x maid/butler! reader + ART!

Cw!: THERE IS NO AGE GAP! this fanfic is not intended to be read as you and the characters having a age gap it's clearly written for you two to be the same age! I just wanna make this clear because I don't want people to misinterpret the dynamic of this fan fic. And it's not proofread!

Characters present: Crimson Coral cookie, Mystical Opal cookie, Golden Citrine cookie and Aquamarine cookie

Ah the gem mermaids, so majestic and all of them can take your breath away just by looking at you but it just so happened that you are their favourite <3

When you were as young as them, your mer parents explained that you are the young gem mermaids source of happiness, they trust you and cherish you, and as you two grew up they still feel how their heart is captured by you and only you <333

"Just like you looked out for me when I was hurt, I'll always do the same for you"

✧When you just started to serve for the gem mermaids you were assigned to accompany the young crimson coral cookie

✦When she would train and learn how to ride the sea horses you always kept a really close eye on her, you never wanted for your lady to be hurt after all!

✧And if she did get hurt in the process you'd always hurry to check if she was injured and if she was then you'd always have some extra kelp to patch up her wounds

✦Even if she was hurting she couldn't help but feel always way better when she would hear your voice, it calmed her down and brought her down to earth and distracted her from her injuries

✧As you grew older she always insisted that you take more frequent breaks because she hated when you'd feel burned out

✦As you were teens she had a rebellious phase and she often insisted on taking you on a ride on her sea horse and explore beyond Tearcrown, sometimes she'd even sneak out quality foods and sweets that only loyalty could eat so you can have at least a taste.

✧After growing up she accepted that she has feelings for you and sees you as equal, and one day as she took you to your childhood favourite spot and there she confessed in the privacy of your secret place, and as you sat there you two made two bracelets for eachother that represented your love for each other

✦And by her orders she explained to the guards that she would feel way safer if you'd join her for the night and that's how now you guys are cuddling close, to each others arms, and this action always brings crimson coral closure and piece

✧She really likes holding you and you holding her, her entire day schedule is filled with little to to physical touch, so, at the end of the day, having you in her grasp, just brings her so much happiness and just a calm feeling that drives her to a peaceful slumber.

Mystic Opal cookie

"To be honest, I wouldn't know what I would have done without you"

𖤓One thing she vividly remembers is this specific scenario from when she was younger:

𖤓'sat in front of the mirror, and some of her sisters trying their best to untangle her hair without it biting their arms off, so her hair would always be unstylised and sometimes tangled in which thay would make her quite insecure'

𖤓But when she heard that you'd be a sort of personal maid/butler for her she was kind of concerned how her hair would react because she didn't want it to intimate you or hurt you

𖤓But surprisingly it didn't really have a problem with you, it didn't have a problem with you touching it, brushing it and overall styling it. She was in awe when you managed to do it for the first time and from then on she insisted that you'd help her with this matter

𖤓Slowly by having hair styling sessions you two would talk with eachother and open up about past experiences, what you liked and didn't like etc etc.

𖤓And as time went by you two became inseparable, and because of her more closed off nature she really placed a lot trust in you, she'd always trust you with some more sensitive feelings of hers and she'd always appreciate the way you'd reassure her and your presence would always make her feel better.

𖤓After a while when she noticed she had feelings she mostly kept them to herself, of course you are the one that she trusts the most, but it felt like something so intimate that she just had to keep it in

𖤓But even if it was a secret, her actions weren't repressed one bit, now she'd subconsciously stand closer to you, her finns would flapp and rice up when she'd see you and the star that hangs at the back of her head would glow just a little brighter.

𖤓And Golden Citrine cookie teased the hell out of Mystic Opal when she caught up with her infatuation with you and by the end encouraged her to confess because by the end of the day she can't just hide her feelings forever

𖤓And she took het sisters advice at heart and the hole week she was preparing herself to confess but by the end of the week she was so stressed about confessing to you that she accidentally distanced herself away from you

𖤓And as you were preparing her hair for her night routine before bed you questioned if you did something to upset her, at that moment she realised she can't take it no longer and just let it all out

𖤓By the end, she ended up crying because it was never her intention to hurt you because you were so beloved to her but she was afraid how you'd react but by the end after comforting her and taking about it she gave you the most gentle kiss on the cheek

𖤓Even if that is one of her first relationships, she's actually a really good partner, she's calm collected and when you two are alone she feels so safe with you that she lets herself and her emotions to be vulnerable without worrying about any sort of judgement

𖤓She feels so happy and comfortable with you, she just wished she could give you all of the love of the sea just for you to have

Golden Citrine cookie

"Wanna join me on another trinket hunt?"

❂When she first met you the very first thing that she did was bring her to her room to show you the various golden trinkets that she found from those hollow whales!

❂They all looked to mesmerized undet the moonlight and their reflection could easily light up her room with a really soft golden light

❂She mostly would sneak you out Tearcrown so you'd have some time alone and find more trinkets for her to add to her collection

❂At these treasure hunting trips she'd be as exited to talk and rant about how some things tip her off, just like how crimson coral doesn't really get her sarcasm but she'd be as excited to hear more about you!

❂She'd always insists in you joining the rest of the gem mermaids everywhere because she considers you as family and deeply cares about you

❂Another thing you'd do together was cleaning up any dirty trinkets, because after all she wants them to shine brightly under the sun and the moon light!

❂She has a surprisingly good maintained hair! She just enjoys not having it tied up and letting it free so she never really insisted on having hair care sessions because it was so easily maintainable

❂The moment she realised she had feelings for you is when you two would on one of your treasure/trinket hunting adventures and you'd look so interested in her little rant on how much she loves her shiny jewelry, your expression was so focused and interested on what she had to say that she outright confessed right here and there!

❂Of course later on, around that night before coming back to Tearcrown she said that she genuinely ment it and that she truly really does adore you and asked you properly if you'd like to be her partner

Aquamarine cookie

"Today I found a new flower that never has seen before and I named it after you"

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Ooooo she remembers so clearly how when you first showed up she instantly just brought you to her garden!

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Aquamarines garden was a old greenhouse that eventually got sinked by the sea so she made herself a home there

.𖥔 ݁ ˖You'd mostly help out with different tasks in her garden like: caring out different types of sand/soils that her plants need

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Or she'd join you by going to far away markets to get new seeds for her garden and even when talking care of the plants she'd rant on and on about their properties, from where they originated, how to properly take care of them ect.

.𖥔 ݁ ˖One day she was sick so she couldn't attend the garden and you were nowhere to be found, she wanted to start looking for you because your presence comforted her but her sisters insisted on her resting

.𖥔 ݁ ˖But once everyone was asleep she sneaked out her room and started looking out for you, once she was ready to give up she decided to see how her garden was doing

.𖥔 ݁ ˖To her surprise she found you there! You were half asleep taking care of the last plant that needed care

.𖥔 ݁ ˖She felt as her heart quickened and warmed up, and as she gently swam at you and brought you to her embrace just to take you to her room for you to rest as well

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Having you near her while she was sleeping and in a vulnerable state she felt so safe, even if there was nothing to worry about she felt protected and she felt like she could protect you at any time

.𖥔 ݁ ˖Her confessing would be at her garden, it would be a lovely night where the moonlight would shine though the glass of the greenhouse giving you two a warm illumination just bright enough to be able to see eachother + some of her bioluminescent plants would be glowing too

.𖥔 ݁ ˖As you two took care of the last plants she took a deep breath and handed you over a flower in a glass sphere, it was so beautiful! It even had the ability to glow in the dark!

.𖥔 ݁ ˖As she handled it to you she took one of your hands and held it as she confessed how much she liked you and how happy you make her so she wanted you to have one of her secret flowers that she kept hidden so noone would steal it

.𖥔 ݁ ˖After getting to a relationship with her it because a tradition to the both of you to grow rare types of plants during the year so when your anniversary comes up you two can give it to eachother as presents in a glass sphere <33

A/n: as I said in my previous post that I'll be returning on writing regularly on October but inspiration just kicked around 2 am so here we are :D the art is kind of sloppy cuz I did it around 4 am so I'm sorry if it doesn't look the best 😭

mystic opal cookie is someone who much prefers to keep to herself rather than indulge in the company of others, but you as her partner are the only real exception to that rule — of course there are still times where she wants to be left alone, but for the most part she’ll always welcome you with open arms when you visit and indulge you with visits of her own when she misses your company

she much prefers to spend her time with you in places that are quiet and dark and private — things such as: lounging on her bed in her cave whilst quietly discussing your plans for the future, exploring the kingdom of tearcrown at night when everyone else is asleep, and dancing above the abyssal depths in a slow sort of waltz with soft smiles on your faces as you savour the moment

she’s only ever seen a glimpse of your future together once, and she saw it when you were curled up against her chest whilst she soothingly stroked along your back — flashes of domesticity and peace and relief and reuniting in somewhere completely different to anywhere she’d ever been (it frightened her somewhat, but she was comforted by the fact that through whatever would happen in the future that you would remain by her side — though, of course, she never shared this vision with you until after tearcrown was completely evacuated)

she defaults to pet names like ‘dearest’ and ‘angel’ for the most part, but she also uses your name as a term of endearment in and of itself — always saying it in a tone so soft and relieved when she sees you that you can’t help but smile

mystic opal cookie might not be the most physically affectionate of her sisters, but she isn’t strictly averse to it — she might not tackle hug you like golden citrine cookie, nor will she proudly parade around tearcrown with you on her arm like crimson coral cookie, but she’ll wrap you in her arms and keep you safe in the depths and indulge you with touch and love in the dark privacy of her cave (kisses on the cheek and on the tips of each of your fingers, hugs that are so warm and blissful that you have to try not to fall asleep, a single warm look that speaks more to her feelings for you than anything that any words could say, etc.)

she’s aware that her appearance and demeanour can be a bit odd or even off putting to others, so to have you make your attraction to, and appreciation of, those things apparent might just leave her speechless:?playing with her hair and jokingly pecking the two extra mouths that adorn the locks on either side of her face will have her cheeks darkening and her eyes flitting away from you; resting your chin on her shoulder whilst you hug her from behind and calling her ‘beautiful’ will have her balking and losing her train of thought; calling yourself ‘lucky’ for being with her in passing conversation with others will have her trying to stop that small smile from working its way onto her features; calling her ‘incredible’ and earnestly complimenting her gifts will have her entire body relaxing as she takes in the moment — and so on

her adoration of you is much quieter than, say, gold citrine’s for her partner, but rest assured that it’s as clear as day to her sisters just how much she cares for you — and they all find it adorable (with white pearl cookie and aquamarine cookie finding it endearing and complimenting her for how wonderful it is to see her so in love, whilst gold citrine cookie lovingly teases her for it and crimson coral cookie lets her know that she’s happy that her sister has finally found someone who understands her and who she can love in return)

she’s well aware of the risks and responsibilities that come with her gifts, hence why she rarely ever uses them, but for your birthdays she’s been known to come up to the surface with you in the early evening and conjure your favourite weather for just a short while — maybe an hour or two at most, lest things get out of control, before the two of you go back to tearcrown (to the ‘formal’ festivities) for the rest of the day

How did Mermaid Y/N Cookie lose their voice?

Oh right, I had to forgo that bit about Mercookie Y/N a bit for Mermaid’s Lament, but essentially…

You had ran afoul of some of Abalone Cookie’s crew after they caught wind of your singing. It was endearing to them and would lead up to their attempted capture of you.

An horrific accident would occur where a crew cookie miscalculated their throw and struck you right in the throat, not enough to go though, but it took your voice away as a result.

It’s still a touchy subject with you, the other mercookies don’t want to bring it up out of respect for you and your now condition. Frilled Jellyfish and White Pearl Cookie are the most attentive, making sure if you’re okay.

They’re beautiful, all of them. I can’t exactly pick one over the other, they all have something that makes them unique. Gold Citrine is the ditzy type, Aquamarine is gentle and sweet, Mystic Opal is more withdrawn but I like the quiet aspect to her, Frilled Jellyfish is like a maid and the way she speaks is adorable, White Pearl is so cute and bright during this period of time, and Crimson Coral is looking pretty cool with that trident and seahorse!

You sigh solemnly as you seated yourself on a rock, gazing at the moon beyond the horizon. You’d occasionally look down to see your mercookie tail fiddle with the water a little bit before looking back up. The moon…it was beautiful…like…White Pearl Cookie…

Your attempt to confess was only met with White Pearl Cookie’s polite decline. You knew it was a fruitless effort, but you wanted to at least try…

Hearing her calling him her Sea, the way she looked at him, you knew that what she has for him was way different then how she saw you…and yet, you held no ill will towards this Lord Oyster Cookie.

Of which this only served to bring you nothing but an ache to your heart..

For she wasn’t and is never going to be yours, her heart had belonged to another..

You wanted nothing more than to just sink to the deepest abyss…

O-oh, you were just observing the night sky, you’d be returning back shortly, Mystic Opal Cookie shouldn’t worry about it.

She wasn’t buying it as she narrows her eyes at you.

“Something is troubling you. Are you comfortable enough to share it with me?”

You opened your mouth, ready to excuse your situation, but the look Mystic Opal was giving you made you realize that any attempt would be fruitless.

You didn’t know what to feel anymore. You wanted to be happy for White Pearl Cookie for finding the one she wants to be with, but it was hard to do when you felt nothing but emptiness..

Mystic Opal Cookie sighed as she swam to your side on the rock.

“I understand that things are difficult for you right now…but you need to know that White Pearl Cookie isn’t going to forget you…”

H-how does she think so? She seemed so infatuated Lord Oyster Cookie-

“That will change nothing. She may not show it…but White Pearl Cookie greatly values your friendship. It would sadden her if you two drift away over this…”

She shifted up to sit next to you on the rock, as she gently grabbed your hand into hers.

Day by day, you’ve spent time with Mystic Opal Cookie as she helped you with your emotions. She was always ready to put aside what she was doing to tend to you, you appreciated how attentive she was about you. You felt like you could come to her for everything, a sentiment that Mystic Opal shared.

As time went on, you felt like that pain from before was no longer plaguing you and your heart. It had made you believe that there was a chance to find the one you cherished in another cookie.

You’ve started to talk to White Pearl Cookie again with a new outlook, she was still your friend and you’ll do whatever you can to help her! White Pearl herself was happy that what she did had not driven you away from her…

And yet..she can’t help but feel like something was missing with how you spoke to her. You didn’t gush about her or overly complimented her, you talked her..basically like she was your friend. She has no problem with this, it’s just…she wouldn’t have minded if you continued to pay her compliments every now and then..

She sees how you are with Mystic Opal Cookie…with how you look at and talk to her…

It..reminds her of how much you used to do that with her…

It made her a little worried…and jealous….

The sound of a cannon firing its shot was heard, hitting its target as White Pearl Cookie cried out in pain.

“Eeuugh…!”

“Gotcha! Now catch it while it’s tired out!”

A fishnet was fired at her direction as all White Pearl Cookie could try to weakly get away…before the fishnet was caught by a thrown spear!

Not if you had anything to say about it! You called for Crimson Coral Cookie and the others to make themselves known and get White Pearl out of there!

“Right! White Pearl Cookie, come with me!”

“Hahaha! You be looking different compared to the rest! Wonder what you’re worth!”

Abalone Cookie had thrown a harpoon in your direction, you had barely enough time to dodge it. The eclipse had weakened your movement somehow, so timing was everything!”

“Slippery little fish, are ya! Pass me another harpoon!”

You tell him to give it his best shot!

“Y/N Cookie!”

“White Pearl Cookie, we have to go now!”

“No, I’m tired of running away! Not with Y/N Cookie in danger!”

A harpoon managed to graze you by the arm, it was enough to make you grunt in pain!

“Ha! Not so slippery anymore, are ya?!”

A fishing net was fired at your location, seemingly ready to trap you in its bind when you’re quickly pulled under the water! Abalone clearly annoyed that you had escaped.

It completely took you by surprise until you saw Mystic Opal Cookie along with you!

“Just like before and like I’ll always continue to do, Y/N Cookie. I’ll never leave your side…”

You quickly grow flustered, you..thanked Mystic Opal for her help. She gently smiled as she looked at your graze wound.

“It doesn’t look too bad, but I’ll tend to it just to be sure…”

You thanked her again as she patched you up. When she was done, she brought your hand to caress her cheek. Her cheeks grew warm with a blush, a small smile making its way on her face. It must’ve been contagious with how your own face grew red..

It was like there was nothing else but you and Mystic Opal Cookie in this world…

She got closer…

So did you….

“So, it’s true then…”

You and Mystic Opal quickly retracted from each other, turning to see White Pearl Cookie staring you two down, her eyes darkening…

“Y/N Cookie…I thought you had liked me…”

White Pearl Cookie…

“I…I was a fool to think he would cherish me…”

“When I had you with me…”

“I’m sorry, Y/N Cookie. I’m sorry for having been so blind to your feelings..”

“I thought that I would’ve been happy with our friendship…”

“But seeing you with Mystic Opal Cookie, it’s brought nothing but turmoil to my heart…”

“Please…all I want now is for you to reconsider. I know it’s a selfish request, but I promise that I do cherish you now!”

“You were my Sea all along…”

“White Pearl Cookie, I understand you’re hurting, but you can’t just-“

“SILENCE! LET THEM SPEAK!”

The incredibly loud shriek of White Pearl Cookie made everyones’ heart stop for a moment. White Pearl Cookie was upset at the mere implication of rejection..

“Y/N Cookie is all I have left…they cared about me despite the pain I’ve put them through…”

“That cookie, Frilled Jellyfish Cookie, the Kingdom…all gone. Only Y/N Cookie is left for me.”

“I refuse to let them go…whether it be to this war or to another cookie like you, Mystic Opal Cookie.”

“I won’t let you take them away…”

“I won’t leave them…not this time…”

“Aha…he he he…HA HA HA HA HA!”

The waters around you grew tense as Mystic Opal Cookie and Crimson Coral Cookie shielded you.

Something told you that it wasn’t this war that should make you afraid anymore…
