I absolutely adore the interactions and writing in these comics, go check out the artists as well as my good friend jsaking11 who provided silver's voice! I hope you enjoy these videos as much as we loved making them!
On the far side we have folks like Ophelia who personally don’t really ship anyone but sometimes does indulge in their lil rare pair that does have footing in canon
Next we have coalecroux shippers with a small mountain of canon things to sink their teeth into.
Next we have people like user gorebek and his ever growing army of scorched fur enjoyers. In this group I am also including that handful of Gricko + Frost shippers as with both ships though not as much canon content as coalecroux can certainly make sense with the characters backgrounds or personalities.
I feel like there should be something before this but idk what it is 🧍♀️ lastly we have fuckers like me. All of the characters are kissing, nobody knows what’s going on LEAST OF ALL ME! Everything is based on absolutely nothing but I’m having a good time so fuck it we ball!
I want to write some stuff for this but am actively nodding off so y'all just get an info dump before I forget it instead. (My baby loftwing being all fluffed and happy on my chest is not helping me focus lol)
Anyway! Miphlink baby!
I think it would be pretty neat if he was hard of hearing. The mix of Hylian/Zora genes mostly goes fine, but that's the one thing that just gets him. Part of it is because Zora and Hylian ears are different - Zora ears are small openings hidden under the side fins on their heads, and we all know about Hylian ears. Zora rely on different hearing sensors when underwater, hollowed out structures in their heads that allow, essentially, for echolocation. Miphlink baby is born with Hylian ears tucked behind thinner side fins, no structures for echolocation, and not the best hearing. So Link and Mipha have to sign with him most of the time, though he does hear a little better underwater since sound travels better underwater.
While Mipha's color scheme for her scales is like crystla red and creamy white, baby's color scheme is a lighter shade of red paired with Link's skin tone. He doesn't have claws, either, but he does have sharp incisors. He's got his dad's blue eyes.
As for size, when he's full grown he'll stand around the height of an adult Hylian man, so he'll be taller than his dad but short by Zora standards (I figure Mipha seems pretty short for her people's standards too - she is a teenager, of course, but like... she's shorter than Link. Girl is tiny). He's got the structural fins like any Zora, but his body proportions are those of a Hylian (longer legs, shorter torso, whereas Zora are shorter legs and longer torso).
He grows at a rate similar to Hylians - Zora age twice as slow as Hylians until they hit adulthood, and then they just... are adults for a million years. But Miphlink baby grows roughly at the rate of a Hylian, maybe a little slower, and the rest of the Domain is just floored at how fast this kid is hitting his growth milestones.
He definitely has that cute "head tail is too big for his body" thing going on that Sidon had <3
I think Serena and Dawn should be time travel buddies. You agree with me 🌀🌀🌀 ooo you agree with me 🌀🌀🌀 let them be best friends. perhaps even honorary sisters. i expect fanfiction as soon as the game comes out, maybe sooner. get on it /j
there obv IS a prevalent and aggravating trend of stories having an antagonist who correctly identifies a flaw in society and aims to fix it but also commits atrocities along the way that the narrative claims to undermine the entire goal and then when the hero defeats them it is in the name of the status quo - but people sometimes point to legend of korra as an example of this which is so annoying bc like man how can you not understand a show written for children. every single season ends with korra defeating the villains and then saying "they had some points tho!" and then changing the status quo to address the flaw the villain identified
So interesting tidbit about Vox Machina: the show combined the Deathwalker's Ward with another item.
See, in the original streams, the armor had mostly passive deffensive features, in specific that it allowed the user to attune it to a specific damage type and become resistant that way (which means damage is halved for that type), which was extremely useful for the big fights as Vax was mostly abnle to guess which element was the most useful, but which doesnt translate well to the show.
So anyways, Vax's most powerful item wasnt the armor(or even a Vestige), but a broken ass item known as "The Boots of Haste" which basically was one free "haste" spell per day with none of the drawbacks, came from Pathfinder and which Matt has come on record to say he regrets not taking them away from Vax because of how it made him an insanely fast killing machine who was harder to hit and could basically move wherever he wanted on the map and basically every attack came with an extra free attack.
