#clone angst

Everytime people write post Order 66 clone angst they always seem to gloss over the fact that the clones had nightmares of the order even before it went out.
Now by no means do I want to fault any of the authors who didn't include these nightmares, (bless their creativity and their hands because their work is DELICIOUS) but I think it would his on a whole diffrent level if they did.
Like- imagine you standart plot where Cody's chip get's taken out/wears off/stops working any other way. Having Cody break down and blame himself for following Order 66 is one thing, now imagine him also realizing that his biggest nightmare LITTERALY became reality.
The same nightmare which he told himself was nothing to worry about, because he'd never betray his general.
Yet he did. The republic fell and he shot down Obi-Wan.
And he can't even wake up to a better reality like he could in the past, because this is reality and not another repeating nightmare.

@tiend you deserve some angst <3
So we know the empires starting to "retire" the clones, we have a massive group of people who are in an incredibly vulnerable state, and well in a galaxy so big and an empire that doesnt care, whos going to take advantage of this? The mining companies. Hiring clones enmasse and sending them off to remote world just to reap the benefits of men whove never been paid in their lives, conditions are shitty, thats ok theyre used to it, cheap PPE? Why not? While were at it lets cram them into dorms thats ok theyre used to it, at least theyre off the street right, pay? Still not recognised as sentient we dont have to pay full wages... make of this what you will.

Hail Mary
Call Fox whatever you’d like. A thing, an object, a defect, or a failure. They weren’t new endearments. Fox heard them all throughout his childhood. Weak, small, pitiful, doomed. Fox sometimes let himself linger and believe them.
One thing about Fox, though, is that he is blindly trusting. Especially with his brothers. When Fives said that there were chips in every vod’s brain, Fox believed him. Fox believed that the Chancellor would strip away his free will. Fox believed that the Chancellor would puppeteer the whole war. Fox believed that the Chancellor would deny his sentience. Fox believed that the Chancellor would dispose of him as soon as Fox proved himself an inconvenience.
No matter what Fox believed, he knew he was a doomed man. All the Corries were. Coruscant was the city for the rejects and Fox led men living on stolen time. When he called his closest brothers to ask, not command, that they help him assassinate the man that prepared to enslave a galaxy, they readily agreed.
They were all quiet as they gathered their weapons. Thire clasped his hand over Fox’s vambrace and pulled him into a tight hug. His shoulders shook. Fox held on to his younger brother as Stone and Thorn quietly joined in.
None of them would make it out and they deserved more and it was okay because they had each other.
The elevator ride was silent as it often was. They were all perfect, their posture, their rest, everything. They were uniform as they were trained to be. It was beautiful.
No matter what, Fox and his commanders would be known by morning. Everyone would see every scar, every grey hair, every tiny detail that let their individuality shine through. Their numbers and tattoos and selves would be shown and talked about and seen. Seen.
They would be remembered forever.
The elevator door opened and they all stepped out.

Hey, what if that assassin clone(I legit thought he was Crosshair at first) wasn't doing that of his own choice and had some extreme conditioning to make him willing to do all that and commit suicide for it, like, Rex did say some of the problematic ones disappear instead of get killed, so, what if that's what happens to them.
And then my mind immediately went to Echo, he's more on his own now, less protected and with all that interfacing cybernetics, he could be easier to reprogram like this
You know where I'm going from here
He gets sent after bad batch and they have to fight him now and a, kill him themselved, b, let him commit suicide, or c, somehow get the suicide thing out and find a way to fix it.
AndAnd I just had a really sad scene play out in my head where Omega had to kill Echo cause he was about to kill all of them, or had, and she was the only one left standing and after she shot him he thanked her cause it's over and I legit cried.
The reprogam send after bb could also work with Crosshair or Cody, but yeah, my mind went to Echo.
Also anyone else keep thinking of cute purple cats with Riyo's new hairstyle? The little ponytail was like a tail and the other bits were cute ears. I also loved Omega's I'm gonna bite you face to rampart.
🤞Echo stays okay and the bad batch can all join up together and be a big happy family and no one fucking dies because nooooooo! Let there be some happiness in Star Wars, just 1 happy space fam, that's all I ask!
You're welcome for the new nightmares!

Entrapta x Horde Prime's personal attendants. She helps them unlearn their harmful beliefs and be themselves. Or... she tries to, but they mentally replace Horde Prime with her, so they can fill the void left after his death. So they worship her, follow her around, and do whatever she wants. This is not the outcome she was aiming for, but it is acceptable, since unlike Horde Prime, she will not hurt them or lie to them. Entrapta deserves all the technology and handsome boys she wants ;aslkdfjsd
Oof! Oh, man, Anon—this is not the kind of premise you want to share with me because this, for me, is a mix of hard angst snd nightmare fuel. Granted, I enjoy both of those things, and quite like stories where everyone is doing their best, but circumstances are just fucked. And this pretty much fits that to a T.
Especially since I really can’t imagine this working if Hordak is still around, so this seems like a deeply, deeply upsetting alternate ending where Hordak either died or just never came back to himself (maybe he is one of the attendants). And now Entrapta is either trying to fill the void he left behind or trying desperately to bring him back, only to be left in a situation where she has two people who have essentially swapped worship of Prime for worship of her and—
It’s not what she wants but…maybe it’s better than nothing. Maybe they are, ultimately, in a better situation. They seem happy. They’re healthy—she makes sure of that. But they’re not free. They’re not able or willing to take up the mantle of personhood. Prime has broken them so thoroughly that they can’t recover who they were of who they could be.
I could see her trying to live with this compromise with herself, and I can see it being mostly okay. On good days, she can focus on the little things that have improved. But I can also see her breaking down because she lost the one person who seemed to understand her (whether his body is with her or not), and I can see her being overwhelmed by the weight of what was done to the clones. She knows what they’re capable of. She knows they’re whole people. And she knows that was stolen from them, and try as she might, she can’t return that to them.
And, worse, whenever she’s upset, they get upset because they love her like they loved Prime. Furthermore, she can never just be human with them. She can never relax or just be herself because she doesn’t want to risk hurting them further or taking more from them than Prime’s already stolen.
So, yeah. Hardcore nightmare fuel and angst! Fun story, though. Really disturbing and upsetting.

"Twenty minutes later he’d made it back to his room with no memory of the journey and the taste of vomit stuck in the back of his throat.
No one asked what he’d done - it was an unspoken rule, never to ask - but Wrecker opened his arms and let Crosshair disappear into them without a word."

About a year or so ago I asked for fanfic submissions to be turned into comics! And this was one of them! I had actually started drawing this a year ago, but just now got around to finishing it!
It's a pretty heavy fic, but its short and really well written! Id suggest checking it out if your in angsty mood!

DC x DP Prompt
Some way, somehow (up to you), Dan, Danny, and Dani all end up living with Vlad.
Vlad is ecstatic. The three D's aren't, but it's not like they have a choice.
To push things forward, they end up begrudgingly going to a Wayne Gala with him, and like most gala kids, they were subjected to forceful, nosy, uncomfortable, and unnecessary questions from adults they don't like, and they know, don't really care.
One of the few obvious questions would be, 'How old are you?'.
Dan, despite being in a clone body of Danny, grows just a bit faster and taller than him and refuses to be the same age as that twerp. So he says that he's one year older than Danny.
Danny, who is absolutely pissed that his clone body is growing faster than him and also refuses to be the same age as that asshole, uses his actual age.
Dani, on the other hand, is having some internal struggles about being a clone and how her body and mind were basically forced to become more mature than she actually is. How she desperately wishes to be a child but will never have the opportunity to be. Or how she wants to be her own person but doesn't know how, and is simply borrowing from everyone around her.
She gets the dreaded question, 'How old are you?'. She doesn't want to be too close to Dan or Danny and 'copy' them. But she doesn't want to be too far off from them because she's really not much smaller than Danny, and also finds comfort in being close to them even if she is just 'copying' them. So she says she's a year younger than Danny.
The Gala goes on, yada yada yada. Then they go home.
A few weeks later, one of the D's (I'm thinking Dan) finds an online article about the Masters family and begins laughing their ass off.
Apparently, Irish twins were one thing. But Irish triplets? That had the general public and social elite in an uproar for weeks to come.

I'm never getting over how sick he looks
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a very dull looking scene, almost grayscale. That choice shows you just how sickening this mission is to Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan is hunched over, head between his knees. He looks physically sick. Everyone looks to him, he can say 'no,' but how could he possibly deny them? His life is the Jedi, and in the pursuit of peace he's asked to do something he cannot but a Jedi Master can, without question, Obi-Wan Kenobi can and he must.
The second shot, that's the face of resignation. He can't even speak, you can see he almost opens his mouth but all he can do is nod. This is where we see the line of duty and the individual. When challenged, Obi-Wan chooses the light, at the expense of himself, at the expense of those he loves.
He knows Anakin will never forgive because when challenged, Anakin doesn't choose the light, he chooses who he loves. And Obi-Wan cannot tell Anakin that choosing those you love isn't the correct choice.
This is the hero sacrificing you to save the world, this is Obi-Wan sacrificing himself, sacrificing Anakin for the greater good. But what's so good about letting your best friend think you've slipped away into death, mere feet from his grasp? Where's the good in watching someone you love die?
Obi-Wan remembers watching Qui-Gon's last breath leave his body, he never recovered. Where's the good in knowing all the pain your about to put your best friend through? The good in always seeing your ghost?

Dottores younger segments have harsh mood swings, and so the lab equipment is extra durable to accommodate his anger issues. Things like glass beakers, rods, and specimen jars are made of extra durable glass in case he throws them. There's stim toys and chews everywhere so he can Try and deal with his emotions healthily. This is all more common in the teen and young adult clones. The older ones have suppressed their emotions so they can do more science™️. He has never gotten violent or angry at you though, he could never. If he hurt you, he'd go insane... well... more insane.
Smut below
There are only two ways to calm him down when he's like this. Wait or get you. It takes time still, and he's incredibly clingy because his mind is too loud, and he's frustrated, but he calms down. Sometimes his mind is loud in a way that needs to be fucked out of him. It has to be hard rough bordering on too much when he's like this, or else it just adds to his frustrations. Either way once he's finally calm he's exhausted even if you didn't fuck him he's tired that much rage takes everything out of him and he has to nap for like 4 hours.

Clone Wars AU where instead of chips, the clones are actually raised to be undercover as loyal soldiers knowing they'd betray the jedi ("traitors") on the order, and are all ready to complete their mission—
But uh. The jedi are really nice?? And kinda dumb??? And they reaaaally don't know how they survived this long when they are just so dumb and trusting and oh no they're attached.
There are many unfortunate realizations. The clones form a support group to rant about their stupid jetii because "—guys you don't understand he loses his lightsaber every two seconds and then smiles at me when I give it back and has decided since I have it so much I should know how to use it and this week he ordered chocolate for everyone what do I do—"
Bly be sitting in the corner, rocking because "Oh no she's hot"
Wolffe is sitting there holding in manly tears because Plo is a buir but he's a traitor but Plo is such a buir can he be my buir
Rex is like "listen I know Skywalker is supposed to be the one non-traitor of the bunch but like. He's crazy???? And the Commander is also crazy???? How am I supposed to keep up with them???? How much worse would they be without Kenobi????????? And I think Skywalker might actually murder us all if anyone touches the commander or Kenobi???????????"
And meanwhile Fox is all "I keep pulling this one weird jedi out of the dumpster and I can't get rid of him. How do I get rid of him, he's growing on me like mold and I hate it."
Meanwhile I cant decide if the Jedi know that somethings up with the clones and are keeping them close or if they just are genuinely like "man those guys are so great ❤️❤️❤️ I'd trust my life with them ❤️❤️❤️ if they don't tell me smth they def have a good reason ❤️❤️❤️"

How to care when it doesn’t matter
Rex cared very much about everything. Perhaps that would kill him one day. He hoped it would, that caring would be his downfall. He wanted to die in a way that mattered.
Rex cared for the shinies under his command. The entire 501st were his vod’ike and he loved them fiercely and dearly. He loved them the way a hand loved a face, holding gently or curling into fists aimed to strike. He loved his blue clad men, the Torrent Company he trained personally. He cared so very much.
Rex cared for fairness. A strange thing to say. He believed in rewarding good, brave men. He believed in honoring those who fell in battle. He believed in letting his men live.
Perhaps that was because of how much it affected him. Life wasn’t fair. He had to fight twice as hard for half the results. He couldn’t be satisfactory, he had to excel. His life was on the line. He had no choice, not really. He was damn good at his job and that barely give him his life.
He was going to die one day. Sooner than most, he was sure. His body aged rapidly. He was so tired. He wanted to be done but there was no retirement. He had to fight. It wasn’t fair.
He cared so much about the war. He was made for it. He hated it deep to his bones. His blood sung with metal and fire.
Rex hated so much. He loved so much. In the end it didn’t matter. He was just another face in an army.
