idk if it’s because she debuted as captain marvel in the 2010s which was a pretty awful decade for comics and then was stuck with shit writers and events (*cough*civilwarII*cough*) or stupid retcons (“car-ell”? come on, lets be serious now) for most of the decade until kelly thompson took over in 2019

i’m enjoying the current captain marvel run but i don’t think alyssa wong has the right voice for her, and it’s nothing compared to how great carol was in avengers vol 3 and post-house of M/new avengers era or in her post-rogue/binary era
